Retribution - September 24, 2014
Announcer: And now, the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation, in association with the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, presents... RETRIBUTION 2014!!!
The camera cuts from the intro to the arena in Vegas, where a massive pyro show goes off on the stage. After the pyro show ends, the camera zooms around the ring, highlighting the many fans in attendance before finally settling on the BWF announce team of Nick Webb and Rayne.
Nick Webb: Welcome one and all to BWF Retribution! For those of you who were expecting us a week ago, I'm sure you know by now that there was a travel snafu with a large chunk of the equipment that would have prevented us from putting on a pay-per-view event - or any event at all.
Rayne: The truck carrying the rings disappeared!
Nick Webb: ...yes, that. Anyway, the truck and driver were safely found, I guess he took a wrong turn at Albuquerque, but none of that matters because we are now live and on the air with what is certain to be an unforgettable pay-per-view event!
Rayne: It certainly will be, Nick. Six - count 'em, SIX - Championships will be on the line tonight, and two of those titles will be unified into one just a little bit later in the evening. We've got grudge matches, we've got debuts, and a whole lot more waiting!
Nick Webb: But right now, we're kicking off things with what may be one of the grudgiest matches on tonight's program. The C.E.O., Emily Corlen, returns to the ring to face off against a determined Austin Scott, fighting for the defense of the lovely Zoe Cooper!
Rayne: Dude, grudgiest is so not a word.
Austin Scott walks into this match determined to gain some revenge for what Emily did to his girlfriend Zoe on the September 3 edition of Havok, but the C.E.O. wouldn't have made this match unless she had a back-up plan - and have a back-up plan she did. When Austin gets Emily on the ropes, his passion and anger perhaps blinds him just enough that he doesn't see Emily grab the ring bell when she rolls out of the ring to escape his assault. She nails him between the eyes and the referee rings the bell to disqualify the C.E.O., but Emily grabs a mic and announces that, as C.E.O., she is officially restarting this match as a no disqualification match.
Nick Webb: Oh, come on!
Rayne: When you're the boss, you get perks, Nick! Why are you complaining that this awesome match is going to continue?
The crowd boos loudly as she continues assaulting Austin with the hammer, and then rolls a bloodied Austin into the ring, following with a chair. She picks him up, grins evilly, and hits the Down in Flames (Pedigree) onto the steel chair before rolling him over and covering him for the surely tainted three count.
WINNER: Emily Corlen, via Pinfall
Timeless
Mickey mouse, Felix the cat. Two personified animals turned into beloved animated beings. Despite their immortal image, they both made a very fatal mistake. They took form of mass produced clocks. Tick tock tickery does Akemi so hate, and in a mound their carcasses lain. Gears, cogs and batteries littered the backstage floor while Akemi sat upon the busted time pieces.
Akemi Hayashi: Time is short. Time is endless. Time is a linear factor that moves rather unnoticed from point A to B. Time is dangerous. Time is decline and decay. And above all, time is black. It is your enemy. It follows you everywhere you go. Every year, month, week and minute. Until it finally stops...
Akemi Hayashi: Tick Tock.
Akemi scrunched her nose and raspberried at her own dramatics. It sounded a whole lot less silly in her head. It'd probably be more effective if she wasn't wearing mouse ears. But let's not criticize her process.
Akemi Hayashi: That was too many word thingies. Promise lady, for a long time you have sat high on your sparkly throne and squishified many challengers. Even Kemi fell at Promise Lady's feet. But all splendour tarnishes, all destinies fall to ruin. Time is a meany head that is never loyal. Time has turned its back on you. Your castle is finally feeling the weight of Eons and the stones are crumbling beneath it. Your time on the top has run out. And no amount of promising will turn the tide.
Akemi rose to her feet and kicked her mound of busted clocks. Shattered timepieces scattered even more across the floor.
Akemi Hayashi: But worry not, every hero must eventually pass the torch. And this is the case of the hero passing the torch to a legend. While you are mortal and are held by the shackles of time. I have defeated time. Time, does not apply to me. You have kept your promises for a long long time. You will forever go down as the promise keeper. But me? I shall be known as Timeless.
Fade to sparkles.
With Austin incapacitated backstage, the dual Champion Zoe Cooper is clearly distracted going into this, her first of two matches this evening. Akemi, meanwhile, is spot on, refusing to give even an inch in her quest to be the first individual to upend 'The Unsinkable Zoe Cooper'. She gets close several times, nearly getting the pin on several occasions, including one roll-up where even Zoe can't believe she got the shoulder up in time. As if things weren't bad enough for Zoe during this match, Emily Corlen and Zoe's opponent for the World Title tonight, Alli Taylor, both make their way to ringside, casually observing, or so they say. After a running knee from Zoe accidentally bumps the ref, Corlen and Taylor make their move, swarming Zoe and ambushing her. As Akemi stands back and watches with the slightest hint of trepidation, Emily and Alli take turns hitting the Sovereign Champion with their finishers, leaving her nearly unconscious. Emily exits the ring and Alli gives Akemi the thumbs up before following Emily's lead.
Nick Webb: This makes me sick!
Rayne: This is AWESOME! The chosen one has finally been defeated! Don't cross the boss!
As the referee starts to stir, Akemi is so focused on getting him up and pinning Zoe that she doesn't see Emily come up behind her and crack her in the back of the head with the same bell hammer she assaulted Austin with! The crowd watches on, confused, as Emily grabs Akemi, hits her with the Down in Flames, and then rolls out of the ring. Alli slides back into the ring and grabs Zoe, and then pulls the Champion into a cover over Akemi. They head up the ramp as the ref comes to, sees Zoe covering Akemi, and counts the three. Alli stands on the ramp and yells "THE ONLY PERSON PINNING THAT BITCH TONIGHT IS ME! HER STREAK IS MINE TO BREAK!" as Emily nods in approval and pats Alli on the back.
WINNER AND STILL BWF SOVEREIGN CHAMPION: Zoe Cooper, via Pinfall
The Prodigal Son Arrives
~ FULL SEGMENT COMING SOON ~
SUMMARY: Jeremy Slayton, the half-brother of BWF Founder David Slayton, makes his official debut as "Jay Blazenwing", carrying on the legacy of his 'family name'. An added perk, given his family name, is that Jay is granted the rare opportunity to choose his own brand, via a contractual agreement. He is greeted in-ring by the Havok and Crisis General Managers, Jacob Bishop and Serena Miller, as they each pitch their case as to which brand Jay should sign with. After mulling over their pitches (and reacting to each GM), Jay finally decides to sign with Jacob Bishop and Havok, because Havok is "the original show", it's where David Blazenwing won his titles, and it's where he wants to win his titles, too.
Van Biafra dominates this match from the outset, proving that what he said to Jacob Bishop on Havok is true. Mike Ryder tries to fight back, but he struggles against the stoic, determined resident of Hell's Kitchen. At one point, Ryder escapes from the ring and tries to head under the apron to escape from Biafra, but Biafra follows him and grabs a leg under the apron, pulling him back out. He rolls Ryder into the ring and motions for him to get up, but when Ryder rolls over, he realizes that it's not Mike in the ring, but his brother, the newly-signed Justin Ryder!
Nick Webb: What the hell? That's not Mike Ryder!
Rayne: No, that's his brother!
As Biafra tries to figure out what the hell is going on, Mike slides back into the ring behind him and goes for his Orton Connection (Running Neckbreaker), but just before he can hit it, Biafra spins around and hits him with a big boot, then clotheslines Justin out of the ring. He picks Mike up, hits him with the Hollowpoint (Single Underhook Vertical Drop DDT) and covers for the three count and the dominant victory.
WINNER: Van Biafra, via Pinfall
Tooth and Claw
.:: ORIGINALLY RECORDED ON SEPTEMBER 17, 2014 ::.
Rune and Fenryr sit on a couch, Rune wearing a red dress and Fenryr in his signature black clothes. He leans forward a bit, his elbows on his knees. Across from the pair sits Don McMichael, microphone in hand.
Don McMichael: Okay, we're here at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, anticipating the Retribution Pay Per View. I'm Don McMichael, and I'm here with new Havok star, Fenryr Wulfsson and his manager, Rune. I wanted to say “Thank you” to the both of you for agreeing to this interview this afternoon.
Rune Sigidottir: We're glad that you have joined us. So. Don. What's your first question? You want to know his favorite color? His secret to growing award winning pansies? Whether or not he thinks that the 2012 Apocalypse is real?
Don McMichael: It's 2014, Rune.
Rune Sigidottir: No, I'm pretty sure it's 2012. They made a movie.
Don McMichael: No, the current year is 2014. It is 2014, now. 2012 has been over for two years.
Rune Sigidottir: Oh...well, I guess you know the answer to that question, then. What's your next question?
Don McMichael: Uh, right. Fenryr, one of the few things that are known about you is that you did have a few short runs in some minor federations before coming to BWF. With no titles or championships in any of those, some think you're just another nobody. How do you answer those assessments?
Fenryr Wulfsson: (laughing) Well...I like this one, Rune. He's got guts. He doesn't have any brains, but at least he's brave. Let me tell you something about expecting things out of me. I'll surprise you every time. I don't give a damn about any of those other federations. I don't give a damn about any of their titles. I really don't care about anything that professional opinion holders think. I do one thing well, and it's the one thing that I want to do. Put people into positions where they get hurt. Titles and belts...HA! I want blood and bones.
Rune Sigidottir: Titles are nice, too, Don...
Fenryr Wulfsson: Yeah, I guess so. The girl likes gold.
Don McMichael: Don't they all? And speaking of girls, what can we expect from your role in any matches that Fenryr will be involved in, Rune?
Rune Sigidottir: Oh, nothing really. I just wait backstage for the matches to be over and basically look pretty for the camera. It's easy. Perfect hair, perfect smile, perfect just about everything. I'll probably even be able to boost ratings too, Don! I'm so awesome!
Don McMichael: Another thing, Rune. One of the questions floating around right now is what is up with these blowpops? You always have one, and the fans are very interested.
Rune Sigidottir: So? They can't have any. As for why...
Rune stands up, approaches Don, and bends over at the waist, which puts her cleavage right in Don's face as she whispers something in his ear. Then she sits back down next to Fenryr.
Rune Sigidottir: That's why.
Don McMichael: Oh. Right then. Okay. Fenryr, back to you. How do you feel that you will compete here? What I mean is that you have no real history in the business. I certainly haven't been able to find much, and what I have found hasn't been very promising. What makes you think that you can actually compete with the world class athletes that we have in the BWF?
Fenryr Wulfsson: What makes me think I can compete? I am clearly one of the greatest athletes in the world. I'll beat up anybody. Put any of your “world class athletes” in the ring with me and they'll get broken. As for my history, don't worry about that. I'm going to start making history. Page one. Havok. You can count on that. If the BWF provides health benefits for any of these other “athletes”, you might want to increase the deductibles before I bankrupt that insurance company. As a matter of fact...
Fenryr stands up, grabs the side of the table between them and flips it over. Don sits back in his chair, looking up as Fenryr looms over him.
Fenryr Wulfsson: Why don't I just slap the piss out of you right now?
Rune Sigidottir: I told those people at WNN that this interview was a bad idea. That's why I never agreed to it in the first place.
Don McMichael: Okay, okay! You're a great athlete, Mr. Wulfsson, please just...can we finish the interview?”
Fenryr Wulfsson: Yeah. You get one more question. If I don't like it, I'm throwing you and your pencil necked cameraman out the window.
Don McMichael: Alright. I...uh...do you have anything that you want to say...to the fans?
Fenryr laughs.
Fenryr Wulfsson: Fans? I don't care about the fans. I only care about making my money and winning my matches. Victory is the only thing that I care about. I will lie and cheat to get it. Well, I don't cheat, but you get the point. Maybe I'll care about a belt if I win one, or at least the girl will, but as far as the fans go...they aren't paying me, and I can't beat them up to get what I want...but I will if they get in my way. Fuck 'em. That it? Good. We're done here. Get out of my room.
Don McMichael: Anything to add, Rune?
Fenryr grabs Don by the necktie and pulls him to his feet.
Fenryr Wulfsson: I thought I told you we're done! No more questions, got it...ooh, nice tie.
Fenryr pulls Don's tie very tight around his neck. Don's face begins to turn red.
Rune Sigidottir: Yep. I knew this was a bad idea. I told them. I never once agreed to this, but they sent a reporter here anyway. You guys flipped my table...assaulted my wrestler...
Fenryr walks Don to the door, opens it, and shoves him into the hallway before turning on the cameraman.
Fenryr Wulfsson: Door or express route?
The cameraman rushes out the door as well. Don is standing and loosening his tie so he can breathe again as the door slams behind them.
Don McMichael: The man's a menace. Whoever allowed this guy into BWF should be fired. There has to be something that can get Fenryr terminated. I'm making it my personal mission to find it.
Fade to black.
Before the match begins, it is revealed that the winner of this elimination contest will be crowned the International Champion, as the Chaos Theory Title is absorbed into the legacy of what was once the Intercontinental Title, along with several other titles in the BWF's history, such as the Hardcore Title. The first elimination occurs at just over the five minute mark, when Chris Maverick dodges the Clock Strikes Midnight (Trouble in Paradise) from Liz Davis, only to turn right into Logan's Disaster Stroke (Clothesline from Hell). Logan covers, and the current International Champion is now the former International Champion. The second elimination takes place just two minutes after that, when Logan Havoc takes down Mike Mox with a stiff kick, only to be caught by surprise as Davis rolls him up and gets the three.
Nick Webb: And we're down to two!
Rayne: This one could go either way!
Liz and Mox continue their fight from the Havok Ironman Match at this point, wrestling one another for close to fifteen more minutes before Mox, in his third attempt, finally catches Liz with the Twist of Hate (Twist of Fate) to score the pin on the former World Champion and become the unified International Champion.
WINNER AND NEW BWF INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION: Mike Mox, via Pinfall
Waiting (True North II)
Johnny Maverick: It's the waiting that really kills me.
Johnny Maverick is backstage, bouncing on his heels. He removes the 'Beats' headphones from his ears. He's wearing the new 'True North' shirt now available on the BWF's website.
Johnny Maverick: I'm just impatient like that, I guess. I'm the kind of guy who has spent all day in surgery and will tell you the worst part was the waiting room. Can you really put a number on this kind of waiting, though? Some think I've only been waiting since this match was announced...but really I've been waiting for this my whole life.
Johnny rolls his neck a little bit.
Johnny Maverick: The quest for True North continues and hopefully ends here tonight. 27 years of being lost and soon I'll be able to plot my own course. I've done a lot of bad on my way here but I refuse to let my legacy to be a failed marriage, a failed suicide attempt, and Keith Richards levels of substance abuse. Your biggest past mistakes have a way of sticking with you no matter how much you try to escape it. I give my all to my fans. I go on Make-A-Wish visits as often as I can and then...I get to work and have to put on elbow pads to hide years-old heroin scars.
Johnny takes a deep breath. He rolls down his elbow pad to show the scars. He's visibly uncomfortable showing the camera this.
Johnny Maverick: I know this is...probably a little real but I feel like I need to be transparent with everyone who believes in me. The phrase 'Never Give Up. Never Surrender. Never Relent.' is one that I have used often but it's one I feel like I've never been able to convey the full weight of. Those seven words are coming from a man who has the most self-destructive history of anyone in the BWF and...he believes them every time he says them. Maybe that makes him stupid, I dunno. I like to think those words have always meant a lot to me, but I'm only just starting to get good at following my own advice. As the great philosopher Jake the Dog once said 'Sucking at something is the first step to being sorta good at something.'
Johnny chuckles to himself a little.
Johnny Maverick: I respect Gabe. I really. I respect him enough to know I'm going to have to give him the ass-kicking of a lifetime to keep him down. When all is said and done he is going to wish I respected him a hell of a lot less. Once that final bell rings and I am holding the Crisis World Title I will gladly call Gabe Shelley my friend. Until that moment? He is an obstacle in the way of True North.
Johnny puts his headphones back on.
Johnny Maverick: The poor, poor motherfucker.
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a last man standing match!
The fans start to cheer as we prepare for the next match as “The Red” by Chevelle starts to play throughout the arena. The BWF Hall of Famer Toco starts to make his way to the stage as the fans give him a warm welcome. The lights turn a golden hue as he pauses for a brief pose. He starts to make his way to the ring, giving out a few high fives and rolls into the ring.
Rayne: All business tonight for Toco.
Nick Webb: I haven’t seen Toco this fired up for a match in quite some time. He’s focused on his match here tonight with AJ Adams.
Rayne: But is he… prepared!?
There’s a quiet throughout the arena but that changes as “Lights Out” by P.O.D. cues up throughout the arena and the fans rise to their feet and give AJ Adams a mixed reaction. The lights flash blue as spotlights flash around the arena. AJ Adams comes out onto the stage to the cheers and looks around the stage and the crowd, taking it all in.
Respect I earned, started with the clique that I hanged
Respect I earned, ever since i got in this game
Respect I earned, never wanting fortune or fame
Adams stands at the top of the ramp and points up to the sky.
Chiggy-check, microphone check
Chiggy-check, microphone check
It's Lights Out, Game Over
At “lights out”, AJ Adams pumps his arms and screams it with the song as a big pop of pyro goes off. He hops and as he throws his arms out and takes in the fans on the ramp. He high fives a few of them and finally makes it to the ring. He jumps to the apron and climbs to the middle turnbuckle and takes off his shirt before tossing it into the crowd. He jumps into the ring and shakes his head a few times and uses the top rope to stretch his arms and legs.
Nick Webb: It’s definitely not the response that AJ is used to getting. It seems like there’s a split within the fans on how many think that AJ Adams actually had something to do with Toco getting taken out backstage at Wreckless.
Rayne: Sounds like Toco just wanted someone to blame to me.
The two men start to circle each other around the ring as the referee explains the rules to them. They don’t take their eyes off each other as the bell sounds and the match is underway.
DING!
Adams and Toco explode with punches in the center in the ring as they exchange lefts and rights as the fans are buzzing. Toco starts to gain the upper hand with a few quick left jabs and is able to back Adams into a corner. He starts to Irish whip Adams across the ring but Adams is able to reverse and Toco goes hard into the turnbuckle. Adams charges and connects with a big spear into the gut before pulling him back to the middle of the ring. Adams starts to lift Toco for a suplex but he’s able to block it by hooking his leg around Adams. Toco reverses into a suplex of his own.
Nick Webb: These two men evenly matched so far in the early going.
Rayne: Toco isn’t going to back down.
Adams hits the mat and quickly climbs to his feet as Toco meets him with a lock up. Adams starts to land hard right hands before one is blocked by Toco as he grabs him and locks in a bearhug. He starts to wear Adams down as he squeezes him. Adams tries to battle back with hard elbows to the side of the head to finally break the hold. The elbows keep bouncing off the side of the skull of Toco before one finally catches him right above the eye and it causes a cut. Toco staggers backwards and Adams comes off the ropes and drops Toco with a hard forearm to the face. Adams pulls Toco to his feet and delivers a kick to the gut before dropping Toco again with a DDT. Blood starts to trickle from the cut above Toco’s eye as Adams starts to smirk. He rubs his boot against the face of Toco as the fans disapprove with boos.
Nick Webb: Adams looking cocky out there right now and the fans are letting him know it.
Adams puts his hands up and takes a few steps away to allow Toco to gather himself. Toco starts to pull himself to his feet but Adams charges and his knee bounces off Toco’s head as he collap slow to move but the referee starts to count.
One, Two, Three, Four…
Toco is to a knee and the referee asks if he can continue as the blow continues to flow and he says yes. Toco stands and as Adams starts to walk over, Toco tries to explode with a To-Cutter (Diamond Cutter) but Adams easily pushes him away and into a corner. Toco leans against the turnbuckle before charging out of it and Adams ducks a clothesline. Adams turns and tries to return the favor but Toco grabs his arms and connects with the Fat Drop (Bubba Bomb) as the fans pop. Adams lays on his knees, fallen over as the referee counts.
One, Two.
Adams pulls himself up and shakes his head.
Nick Webb: Adams still has a lot left to throw at Toco.
Rayne: That’s because he’s… prepared.
Nick Webb: Stop it.
Toco charges and Adams uses him momentum and sends him up and over the top rope. Toco lands on the apron but is quickly knocked off with a hard high kick to the side of the head from Adams. Adams looks over at Toco and at the far side of the ring. Adams runs and dives over the top rope as he comes back and lands on Toco. The two men are down as the referee begins a count.
One, two, three.
Adams is starting to stir as Toco is trying to catch his breath and wipe away blood.
Four, five.
Adams is up and pulls Toco to his feet and leans him against the barricade as the fans cheer on Toco. Adams starts to look under the ring and is able to find a steel chair. Adams drives the end of the chair into the gut of Toco that doubles him over. Adams swings the chair and it connects hard with the back of Toco. Toco winces in pain as he tries to walk away using the barricade. Adams moves his head around and bites his lip.
Nick Webb: It’s almost a twisted look on the face of Adams.
Rayne: Like he’s holding back?
Adams slides the chair into the ring as he walks after Toco. Toco tries to battle back with left and rights and drives Adams into the barricade. Toco slaps the chest of Adams and it echoes throughout the arena. Toco lands another slap as Adams grabs his chest and staggers away. A visible handprint is on Adams’ chest as he rubs it. Toco charges at Adams but Adams lifts him up onto his shoulders and quickly drives his knee into his face as he hits a GTS on the outside of the ring. Toco falls hard on the mat as the referee starts the count.
One, two, three, four.
Toco is slow to move as Adams stands back away.
Five, six, seven.
Toco is trying to pull himself up and is able to get to his feet around the count of eight. Toco leans against the ring apron as the referee checks on him and is asking if he can continue.
Nick Webb: Toco has lost a decent amount of blood here tonight from that cut and it’s really slowing him down.
Rayne: I thought it was because he-
Nick Webb: Don’t even say prepared.
Rayne: No, I was going to say because he had too many hot dogs before the match.
Adams pushes Toco into the ring under the bottom rope as he starts to look under the ring again and doesn’t like anything he sees so he searches another side. He smiles as he pulls out a table that gets the fans to cheer. Adams starts to set up the table on the outside of the ring as Toco uses the time inside the ring to try to gather himself. Adams sets it up in front of the announce table before sliding back into the ring. Toco tries to mount an attack with stomps but Adams is able to power himself to his feet and tackles Toco into the corner. Adams starts to land hard kicks to the sides of his opponent that takes the air right out of him.
Nick Webb: AJ Adams is really starting to take control of this match and it’s quickly getting out of hand.
Adams steps away as Toco staggers out to the middle of the ring. Adams jumps up and hits the Eat It (Fame-Asser) and yells at the referee to count as he stands.
One, Two, Three.
The fans are trying to rally Toco to his feet as they chant his name.
Four, Five, Six.
Toco is starting to stir slowly and is pushing himself up to his feet.
Seven, Eight, Nine.
Toco is able to get up and Adams doesn’t seem pleased as he looks at the referee. Adams starts to climb the top rope and looks out to the fans and flips his hands out as if to say he’s finished. He starts to stand on the top turnbuckle but Toco dives with every ounce of energy he has and pushes Adams off. Adams falls to the outside and crashes hard through the table as the fans roar.
Nick Webb: Adams may be hurt!
Adams grabs his shoulder as the referee starts the count.
One, Two, Three, Four.
Adams is trying to climb out of the destroyed table and is able to roll away as he tries to massage his shoulder. He rolls into the ring as Toco attacks. Toco pulls him to his feet and and starts a series of rights but Adams finally ducks one and locks in the Lights Out (Tazmission). Blood is coming down the side of Toco’s face as Adams chokes the life out of him. He finally releases after Toco stops moving and looks around. The referee starts the count but Adams pulls Toco to his knees. He eyeballs the chair off to the side and smirks as the fans boo. Adams reaches down and starts to dig at his knee pad and pulls out a pair of brass knuckles.
Rayne: Oh, no.
Nick Webb: It’s been a while since we’ve seen those.
Adams puts them on his right hand and holds Toco by the side of his head and lands a devastating hit that knocks Toco out. The referee starts the count by Adams grabs him and shoves him into the cover and tell him to stop counting until he hells him to count.
Nick Webb: Now he’s put his hands on the referee. This is getting out of hand.
Rayne: The referee wasn’t prepared for that.
Nick Webb: Damn it, Rayne.
Adams walks over to the chair and kicks it to the middle of the ring by Toco before reaching down and pulling Toco to his feet. He sets him up for the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail) as he looks around the arena and soaks in the boos as they pour down. Adams hits the Legacy Maker onto the chair as Toco’s face is covered in blood. Adams grabs Toco’s hand and slowly drags him over to the turnbuckle and puts him face first into the bottom rung.
Nick Webb: What is he about to do?
Rayne: It’s Nessa Wall all over again.
Nick Webb: But he didn’t go through with it then. He just did it to send a message.
Rayne: I think AJ is about to send a message.
Toco tries to pull away from the turnbuckle as Adams charges and stomps on the back of the head of Toco, driving him into the bottom turnbuckle as the fans are in disbelief. Adams looks at the referee and tells him to call it.
The referee counts and makes it all the way to ten and calls for the bell.
DING DING DING!!!
WINNER: AJ Adams
There’s a somber feel around the arena as Adams sits in the corner on the other side of the ring as he looks around some more. He pulls himself back up and walks over to Toco as the referee has called for EMTs and trainers to come down. AJ points to the BlazenTron as a video starts to play.
We see a clip of Toco getting prepared for a match that’s time stamped the same night of Wreckless before getting hit in the back with a chair and getting pushed face first into a locker. AJ Adams clearly stands over Toco before walking away.
Nick Webb: AJ just showed the world that he did in fact attack Toco at Wreckless and he just beat Toco down. Toco isn’t moving.
Rayne: AJ came to fight and that was a fight.
Adams leans over Toco for a few moments before his music finally starts to play and he leaves the ring.
Casey's Arrested Development
"Ice Ice Baby" by Richard Cheese hits the BlazenTron and the lights start to dim with a spotlight shooting down on the entrance ramp.
Nick Webb: What's this?
Then stepping into the light is MC the Midget!
Rayne: Hey! It's MC! Haven't seen that little bastard in forever!
MC waving to the fans as they are all jamming out to the music with the spotlight following him to the ring. Taking his time getting up the steps he moves under the ropes signaling for them to hand him the microphone.
MC the Midget: Ladies and Gentlemen!!! For those who do not remember my name is MC. I am the current representative of the man I am about to introduce so please stand up and give your undivided attention to the new Crisis member and the shows future champion the "PWNSTAR" CASEY CAMPBELL!!!!
"Sexy and I know it!" starts playing and Casey Campbell comes jumping out through the entrance followed by a huge explosion and arms raised high up in the air. Casey starts flexing and pelvic thrusting for the ladies while casually making his way to the ring dressed up in a bright purple suit and neon-blue star shaped shades.
Nick Webb: Casey Campbell, looking... well, it's Casey.
Rayne: And he wasn't even scheduled tonight! What an honor for all of us here in Las Vegas!
Casey sliding into the ring he hops up and gives MC a low five before getting handed off the microphone.
Casey Campbell: Thanks little man! It's great to have you back from vacation and back in my corner! So..wow what a night! It's been something...of a snore fest if you ask me but you course you didn't. Though I do know all of you are very disappointed tonight and I'm amazed you wouldn't be asking for your money back since you don't get to see me in action tonight.
Casey turning to the camera, lowering his shades, and giving a wink to the ladies at home.
Casey Campbell: So here I am! This way you don't get a total loss on your money! So tonight it's Retribution! Well where is my Retribution? Nowhere! Because the dumb asses running Havok don't even know what to do with their top superstar! Though it looks like one lovely lady did know what to do with me and she invited me over to Crisis! At first I wasn't too happy with being moved from my home turf that I've grown up on for many years but we all need a knew change of scenery; plus just maaaybe with her in charge of my contract I won't be left off the next big event! Which brings me to the main point why I am here gracing you all with my presence tonight instead of taking the much needed time off I deserve.
Then pulling his glasses off he tucks them into the little pocket on his suit jacket before taking a much more serious look towards the audience giving a very long and slow pause in his speech.
Casey Campbell: WrestleFest is just around the corner. It is the one big event I have never been able to main event much less get a spot light put on my record from. Personally WrestleFest has never been too good for me and always something happens around that time where I'm not a big part of it or getting super-kicked in the face by an ex friend.
MC then reaches into his jacket and pulls out a small sheet of paper and holds it up in the air right next to Casey.
Casey Campbell: In my manager's hands is an agreement I have signed! If I am not in the main event or going for the main championship by WrestleFest this contract states that I will be officially done with the company! That is all! I'll let you all get back to your regularly scheduled programming.
Casey and MC then leave the ring and head to the back.
Nick Webb: I'm... sorry, did Casey Campbell just issue an ultimatum to BWF management?
Rayne: And why shouldn't he? If ANYBODY deserves to main event WrestleFest, it's Casey Campbell!
Nick Webb: ...really? So, we're just gonna pretend that you didn't hate him for, like, six months?
Rayne: I love Casey, I always have. I just can't root for anybody against my lovely future fourth wife Elizabeth Davis.
Nick Webb: Oh, lord. Regardless of whether or not Casey deserves the spot, he'll have a chance to earn it at our next pay-per-view spectacular, Gauntlet Run. He's the first official entrant into that match, courtesy of Crisis' GM, Serena Miller.
Rayne: It's gonna be the first Gauntlet Run since 2007! I can't wait to see who wins the 30 man spectacular!
Nick Webb: Winner goes to the main event of WrestleFest! Could it be Casey Campbell? We'll find out on November 12!
This match ends up being anything but. Jonathan Cage ambushes Scorpio as the former BWF World Champion makes his way down the ramp and, for the next thirteen minutes, proceeds to give Scorpio the beating from hell. Although Scorpio manages to come back a few times, he's no match for a determined Jonathan Cage, who lays the Mission Hills Missionary out with his Dream Killer (Belly to Back Lift dropped into a Piledriver) before getting the three.
Nick Webb: And this one is mercifully over.
Rayne: Nick, I don't think Scorpio's even conscious at this point.
After the match, Cage leaves ringside, his work completed. Scorpio isn't moving, and several replays show Cage dropping Scorpio right on his head with the Dream Killer, severely jarring Scorpio's neck. EMTs head to ringside and load Scorpio up on a gurney, then carefully remove him from ringside as the fans watch on, worriedly.
WINNER: Jonathan Cage, via Pinfall
Miscreant Messiah
The arena lights go out as Johnny Cash's voice booms through the PA
"And I heard, as it were, the noise of thunder: One of the four beasts saying: "Come and see." And I saw. And behold, a white horse."
The sound cuts and the word Miscreant flashes in red on the BlazenTron. This is replaced with Blake, then Myles, then back to Miscreant. "Hold my Hand" by Young and in the Way blares through the arena as video of Blake Myles plays. Flashes of him standing in a crucified position from multiple angles hits the screen. He emerges from the back, the crowd is silent, not sure what to make of this man. He looks around with a smile. The music cuts abruptly as he begins to speak.
Blake Myles: And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. The four beast are coming for you, your sin has given them more power than you could ever imagine.
He pauses and brushes his hair back with his hand.
Blake Myles: Yes, your disgusting sin will be the cause of your destruction. I have foreseen the end and it will be brutal. I am the lamb breaking these seals, I am the lamb that will see your demise. I am the lamb...
The crowd finally finds their voice and begins to boo, slowly at first but it grows. He laughs as he continues
Blake Myles: You believe booing me will reverse the despicable lives you've led. Good, continue booing, you are the herd I lead to slaughter.
He reaches behind his back and produces seven pieces of parchment sealed with wax
Blake Myles: These....these are the signs of your end...these are the beginning of a new world...these are the keys to a world without sin...a world without you, disgusting pig beasts...where only the chosen will continue to populate...it is time for you to bow to me...bow to me as your new Messiah...
The crowd erupts in a loud boo as Blake Myles extends his arm into a crucified position as the lights go out as MISCREANT flashes across the screen and "Hold my Hand" by Young and in the Way explodes across the arena.
In the culmination to their feud that started at Happenstance, The Rejects headed into battle with the Justicars of Illium tonight with one goal; regain the Championships that they felt they had been robbed of all the way back in June. Of course, there was one catch; should The Rejects fail to regain the titles, they would not be able to challenge for the belts again as long as the Justicars of Illium remained Champions. The match took a violent turn early, as Alison was laid out at ringside, leaving Destiny the victim of a nasty two on one ladder fueled assault. Alison eventually recovered, saving her partner and the match just shy of Allen capturing the belts.
Nick Webb: Oh! We very nearly had new Tag Team Champions right there!
Rayne: The night's not over yet, Nick! We may very well still get new Champions!
However, it seems that nearly losing their titles was enough to light a fire under the wounded Justicars, as they began fighting back, teaming up to take down Allen and Spyke down, one at a time, one after the other. The Rejects start fighting back, a wild brawl takes place, leading to Allen sit-down powerbombing Alison off of the top of the ladder through four tables set up stacked 2x2 at ringside. A loud "HOLY SHIT" chant breaks out as both Destiny and Spyke start climbing up the ladder, both sensing the end in sight. They reach the top and begin brawling, with Spyke gaining the upper hand. Just as he's about to finish Destiny off and knock her off the ladder, a woman pops out from nowhere onto the apron, leaps onto the top rope, springboards off and catches the green-haired gaijin with a diving neckbreaker, pulling him off the ladder and cracking his skull against the mat! The woman stands up and gives Destiny a thumbs up as the crowd roars loudly.
Nick Webb: OH MY... THAT'S ASHBY LYNN DAZA!
Rayne: Ashby Lynn is back in BWF!? And she may have just joined forces with the Justicars of Illium!
As Ashby rolls out of the ring to check on Alison in the wreckage of the broken tables, Destiny steps up onto the final rung of the ladder and pulls down the belts, winning the match for the Justicars and barring The Rejects from challenging them again until they lose the titles. Ashby helps Alison to her feet and Destiny joins the two women on the ramp as Allen and Spyke are left to figure out just where tonight went wrong for The Rejects.

The opening of "Revolution" by Pennywise plays throughout the arena and "The Sadistic Sex Symbol" Johnny Maverick emerges, smiling widely as 'The Objects', a pair of gorgeous, busty women follow behind him.
As we walk through these troubled times
We struggle through this so called life
Waiting for something to change
And now all hope is gone
The pain has lingered far too long
Black is a sky filled with rage
Johnny walks down the ramp and waves and smacks hands with members of the audience as he makes his way to the ring.
Nick Webb: And here comes the challenger, Johnny Maverick.
Rayne: Good reception from the fans here tonight and you know if his opponent wasn’t who it was, he’d be the fan favorite to win.
It's been too Long
We're holding on
We'll right this wrong
And fight on
We will remember today
Johnny hops onto the apron and holds the rope so the two lovely redheads may enter the ring. Johnny climbs in after them.
Let me hear You say wo-o-oh
We we want a revolution
One more time in for solutions
The two ladies open their handbags and each pull out a black and red MMA glove. Johnny extends his hands and they each put a glove on him. One of them hands Johnny's mouthguard to the other who places it in Johnny's mouth. Both women turn to leave the ring but Johnny stops them and points to both of his cheeks. The ladies giggle and simultaneously give him a kiss on the cheek before they step out of the ring.
Say it again wo-o-oh
We we want a revolution
Now's the time for Retribution
Say it again
That's right
Johnny throws a few test kicks and punches as he faces off with/awaits the arrival of his opponent. The opening chords of "In Fate's Hands" by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus rolls throughout the arena. Three spotlights shine and revolve around as if searching for someone, and the fans are on their feet, cheering in anticipation for the hero they know is coming. At the nine second mark the song rocks into life with a loud “GO!” as red, white and blue pyros shoot outward with controlled chaos from the entrance stage for seven straight seconds. By the end of it, the three spotlights have aimed at the stage and await the arrival of the Crisis World Champion.
I remember a year ago
I was standing in the crowd
Waiting for my chance to break through
My chance to live again
At last, Gabe Shelley comes running out to the stage with energy and pounds his chest in excitement to the roar of the crowd. He finally steps into the spotlight and peeks out from under his hooded vest with a high smile on his face. Gabe pats the faceplate of the Crisis Championship that’s around his waist. He walks around the top of the stage and points out to the fans before making his way to the ramp.
Nick Webb: The champion is making his way the ring and the fans are firmly behind him. Gabe made his return to BWF back at Wreckless and was able to conquer Hellbound as he became the Crisis World Champion.
Rayne: I know that it’s hard to pick a number one for anything when it comes to all times but Gabe is definitely one of the greatest BWF champions and superstars to ever step into the ring and the fans show him that love and respect.
Nick Webb: The storied career of Gabe Shelley and the BWF could almost rival a Cinderella story of any NCAA Basketball team.
Rayne: Across from him tonight is going to be one Hell of a competitor and Johnny has had a lot more matches over the past year than Gabe has and that could be his edge. Multiple injuries have taken Gabe out of action over his career and he’d be the first to tell you that he’s lost a step since the last time he held a major title but that’s not going to stop him tonight. If anyone can overcome the odds, as we’ve seen before, Gabe can.
Shake it! Break it! Get off your feet!
Come dance with me and don't you fake it
Shake it! Break it! Get off your feet!
Come dance with me and don't you fake it
The fans are positively crazy about Gabe. He makes his way down the ramp and stops halfway before falling to his knees. He looks around one more time from his hood before throwing it back off his head as a fountain of pyro falls from the top of the stage behind him. He pats his chest, then hops to his feet before jumping into the ring. Gabe picks a corner and easily jumps to the second ropes and bows down. He points outwards to the crowd as he jumps backwards, spinning and landing on his feet. He draws to the center of the ring and throws his hands out; the crowd's roar of cheers only grow louder and flashes from cameras capture photos of the Hall of Famer in all his glory. Gabe takes the title off from around his waist and hands it off to the referee.
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the Crisis World Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, from Washington D.C., he is the challenger, the Sadistic Sex Symbol, Johnny Maverick!
The fans give Johnny a positive response as he jumps from side to side in the ring and throws a few punches in the air.
Scott Benjamin: And introducing his opponent. Originally from Columbus, Ohio and currently residing in New York City, he is a BWF Hall of Famer, the Crisis World Champion, the marVel, Gabe Shelley!
Shelley throws his arms out and the fans pop loudly as he looks over at Johnny and to the championship. The two men are listening to the rules of the match from the referee. They shake hands and back away as we set.
DING!
Nick Webb: Here we go!
The two men lock up and try to gain the upperhand as they reach a stalemate and eventually break. They each offer a hand in the air before locking hands and trying to overpower each other and once again neither can gain control. Maverick pulls Shelley in and connects a knee to the gut. Maverick quickly flips Shelley back with a northern lights suplex and mounts him in a MMA style position and tries to mount an assault with lefts and rights. Shelley gets his arms up and is able to block the shots and is able to get a foot into Maverick’s gut and kick him off. Shelley gets to his feet and he ducks a clothesline and quickly grabs Maverick from behind and connects with a big German suplex. The champion pops to his feet as Maverick climbs to his and the two men are once again in a standoff. The fans love it and show it as they cheer.
Nick Webb: Very evenly matched at the early going of the match even though these two have vastly different styles.
Rayne: They’re both students of the ring and have faced off against many opponents so they’re ready for anything that’s thrown their way.
Shelley ducks under a forearm shot from Maverick and quickly locks in a side headlock and starts to apply pressure. Maverick flips Shelley backwards, who lands on his feet, and Shelley locks in a hammerlock. Maverick reaches back and rolls forward and sends Shelley over his shoulder and he’s quickly to his feet. The champion is quick and locks in a front facelock and is able to push Maverick to the ground. Shelley quickly spins towards the legs of Maverick and looks for the Texas Cloverleaf but Maverick kicks him away and we’re at a standoff again as both men are to their feet. Shelley charges and gets sent up and over the top rope and is able land on the apron. Maverick turns and Shelley leans through the ropes and rams his shoulder into his gut. Shelley attempts a sunset flip but Maverick holds onto the ropes and doesn’t allow Shelley to roll him up before dropping to his knees and mounts lefts and rights onto the champion. After taking a few hard shots Shelley is able to get his feet up and under the arms of Maverick and pulls him down into a cover!
One!
Kickout.
Maverick rolls backwards to his feet and quickly hits a dropkick to the face of Shelley.
Nick Webb: What a series of back and forth between Johnny and Gabe.
Maverick pulls Shelley to his feet and starts to set him up with an underhook position and flips him back and completes the Perfecter Armbar and Shelley is in the middle of the ring as the crowd buzzes. Shelley reaches for the ropes and finds himself out of reach of them as Maverick has the move locked in. Shelley tries to roll and uses his feet to push himself a bit closer to the ropes and is finally able to reach and grabs ahold of the bottom rope. Maverick is forced to release the hold as Shelley uses the ropes to pull himself to his feet and walks into a kick to the gut from Maverick. Maverick positions himself behind Shelley and hits a big German suplex and rolls through it and pulls him up for a second and hits it. Maverick pulls Shelley back to his feet as they roll through the second one and he prepares for the Maverick Special (Two rolling Germans into a bridging dragon suplex) but Shelley doesn’t allow him to hook his arms for the dragon suplex and hits hard elbows to the side of Maverick’s head. Shelley turns around and hits the Cannonball (Similar to the Codebreaker but knees are in opponents chest) and it takes the air right out of Maverick. Shelley rolls into a pin cover.
One!
Two!
Kickout by Maverick.
Nick Webb: Each man has a personal motto of never giving up and fighting until they physically can’t anymore.
Rayne: This match could come down to which one of these competitors makes the first mistake.
Shelley pulls Maverick to his feet and whips him into the corner and charges after him, hitting a big splash. Maverick staggers out and Shelley meets him with a swinging neckbreaker before popping back to his feet. The champion pulls the challenger back up and lifts him for a suplex as they come crashing to the mat. Shelley hooks the tights of Maverick and swings his leg up and rolls him to his feet for a second suplex that connects. Shelley pulls Maverick up for a third and this time tries to hold him in the air for a few seconds. Maverick bends his knees and comes back down to his feet and hits a suplex of his own to Shelley. Maverick is to his feet as Shelley isn’t far behind and Maverick comes running with a hard OF!MF! [Oh Fuck! My Face!] (A Running Shotei [Palm Strike to the Face]). Shelley falls to the mat and Maverick dives into a cover as he hooks a leg.
One!
Two!
Kickout!
Nick Webb: That shot rocked Shelley.
Maverick looks at the referee before pulling Shelley to his feet and twists his arm and applies pressure on it and his shoulder. Shelley flips over to get the pressure off and flips Maverick over with an arm drag. Both men rise and Shelley is there first with a hard clothesline. Maverick hits the mat and starts to roll to his feet as Shelley comes off the ropes. Maverick jumps over Shelley as he charges and turns around and catches him with a backdrop. Shelley hits and pops back up and is right back on Maverick as he spears him into the corner. He rams his shoulder into the gut of Maverick four times and lifts him to the top rope, facing the crowd. Shelley climbs out to the apron and starts to climb the turnbuckle and makes to the ram Maverick’s face into the top rung.
Nick Webb: I think Shelley is looking to end this right now.
Rayne: He could be looking for the Jersey Bomb.
Maverick tries to fight out but Shelley connects with a few hard elbows to the side of the head and starts to position his opponent. Shelley lifts Maverick up and comes crashing down to the ring with the Jersey Bomb (Sit-down powerbomb off the top rope). Both men are slow to move but Shelley is able to cover.
One!
Two!
Kickout!
Shelley can’t believe it and neither can the fans as they thought it was three. Shelley runs his fingers through his hair and shakes his head as he starts to stand. He tells Maverick to get up as he starts to stalk him.
Nick Webb: The champion has the upper hand and is wanting to put Johnny away.
Rayne: Easier said than down. I thought the Jersey Bomb would finish it but Johnny showing once again his resolve.
Maverick finally gets to his feet and Shelley looks for the Fallout (Zig Zag) but Maverick uses the ropes to stay on his feet. Shelley hits the mat and rolls to his feet and Maverick meets him with a kick to the gut. He lifts Shelley up and sets him up for the Welcome to D.C. (Reverse GTS) but Shelley is able to battle out and lands on his feet behind Maverick. Shelley spins Maverick around and connects with a kick to the gut and starts to lift him for the reVolt (Cradle Shock) but Maverick hits a few elbows to the neck and shoulder of Shelley. Maverick brings a knee up to the bent over Shelley and drives a knee to the side of his body multiple times. Maverick follows it up with a double arm DDT. Maverick tries to lock in an armbreaker but Shelley pulls his arms together and rolls to his knees. He starts to stand and Maverick refuses to let go. Shelley powers Maverick to his shoulders and flips him around and hits the reVolt! The fans roar as they jump to their feet and count along with the referee as Shelley covers.
One!
Two!
Thr-kickout!
Maverick somehow gets his shoulder up at the last possible second and Shelley thinks he won as he leans against the rope and reaches out for Scott Benjamin to hand him the title.
Nick Webb: Shelley thinks this is over!
Rayne: I thought it was over! I don’t know how Johnny kicked out there.
The referee informs Shelley that the match is still going on and Shelley is shocked as he tells the referee it was three. Maverick is still down and Shelley looks over at him and shakes his head. Shelley rolls out to the apron and eyeballs the distance between he and Maverick. Shelley jumps to the top rope and springboards off and comes flying as he looks for the I’m a Bird, Mother F***er (Springboard into a leg drop) but Maverick rolls away and Shelley crashes to the mat. He grabs his lower back and leg as he stands and Maverick lifts him up and hits the Welcome to D.C.! Maverick falls to his knees and the falls over Shelley as the referee counts.
One!
Two!
Th-kickout!
The crowd cheers as Shelley gets his shoulder up just in time.
Nick Webb: There is no quit in either one of these men.
Maverick rolls onto his back and both men are slow to move. Maverick is close to being up first as Shelley is using the ropes in his aid to stand. The two men lock up and slowly exchange lefts and rights as parts of the crowd cheers when Shelley connects with one and the other part cheers with every shot Maverick lands. Maverick tries to lock up with Shelley but the champion pushes him off and away. Maverick stumbles backwards and his elbow catches the referee right in the jaw and the referee is down. Shelley spears Maverick and the two men rolls around on the mat and exchange hard lefts and rights before getting to their feet. Shelley hits Maverick with a kick to the gut and looks for the Jersey Cutter (Twist of Fate) but Maverick pushes him away. Maverick jumps as he looks for a Superman punch but Shelley side steps it and hits another kick to the gut and hits him with Junk Yard Jam (Pedigree) as the fans pop.
Nick Webb: Junk Yard Jam! It’s over!
Rayne: But the referee is out!
Shelley hooks both legs and the fans count the one, two, three and Shelley is hitting the mat wanting a referee. He looks around and goes over to the referee and tries to bring him to and shakes his head. He starts screaming towards the back as he looks towards the entrance ramp.
Nick Webb: Who’s that!?
Shelley turns around and walks right into a hard right hand from hoodied man that lays him out cold and the fans boo. He pulls back the hood as the fans erupt in boos as AJ Adams stands over Gabe Shelley with the brass knuckles in his hand.
Rayne: What the hell!?
Nick Webb: Son of a bitch! That’s AJ Adams and he just knocked out the champion and there is no referee to stop this!
Adams smirks as he pulls Shelley to his knees and sets him up for all the world to see and drops him with the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail) in the middle of the ring. Adams pulls Maverick over Shelley and rolls out of the ring and grabs someone’s water from ringside and dumps it on the referee who finally comes to and rolls towards Maverick and Shelley and makes the count.
One!
Two!
Three!
DING DING DING!!!
WINNER AND NEW CRISIS WORLD CHAMPION: Johnny Maverick, via Pinfall
Parts of the crowd cheer for Maverick winning but others are booing AJ Adams as he heads up the ramp.
Nick Webb: I can’t believe what we just saw.
Johnny Maverick gets his hand raised and looks around and unsure as to what happened as he checks on Shelley who is still out cold. He looks up at the ramp and sees AJ Adams who is clapping. Maverick looks visibly shocked as he’s handed the title.
Taking Back Summer
The camera cuts backstage as we see AJ Adams with his bag over his shoulder as he starts to walk towards the exit of the Thomas and Mack Center. Don McMichael comes running over with a microphone in hand and catches up with him.
Don McMichael: AJ, can I have a few moments?
AJ keeps walking but looks over at Don and finally stops right outside of the exit.
AJ Adams: What is it, Don?
Don McMichael: I think the entire world is wanting some answers for tonight. First revealing that you did in fact attack Toco at Wreckless and then getting involved in the Crisis World Title match and taking out Gabe Shelley. Why?
Adams looks at Don like he’s an idiot and scoffs.
AJ Adams: Why do you think, Don? I said months ago that this was going to be the Summer of Adams and I was well on my way. I was climbing back up to the top of this company and had the title in my grasp. I took out Toco because one less person INSIDE Hellbound meant one less person standing in my way, or, at least that’s how it was supposed to be. Toco was supposed to be taken to the hospital and there wasn’t supposed to be a replacement. It should have been Maverick and I at the final two and I would have walked out of Wreckless as the champion and my summer would have been complete. Instead, Gabe Shelley came back in place of Toco and won MY title. He became the guy of the summer. The buzz was that Gabe was back, he stole my summer. This is the last show of the summer so what better way to end it than be the story to close it. AJ Adams, takes out Gabe Shelley, and shocks the world. Now I’m number one contender, Johnny Maverick is the champion, and Gabe Shelley is just another knocked out Hall of Famer. All because of me. Looks like I just took back my summer.
AJ turns and walks away.
As the main event begins, the challenger, Alli Taylor, makes her way down the ramp, cocky and confident. Flanking her is her biggest supporter, and special referee for this contest, BWF C.E.O. Emily Corlen. As Nick Webb goes on about how much of a conflict of interests Corlen's insertion into this match is, Emily grabs a mic and officially announces that this match is now a No Disqualification Match. The crowd boos, until Zoe's music hits, and the World and Sovereign Champion makes her way down the ramp, pissed off and ready for a fight.
Nick Webb: Shaking the beehive may not have been the best idea for Alli and Emily!
Rayne: Here we go!
A brawl immediately breaks out between Zoe and Alli, throwing all pretense of an actual wrestling match out the window. Emily stays surprisingly reserved, watching the two go at it, even as Zoe begins to gain the upper hand on Alli. That is, until Zoe hits the Face Replacer (Running Knee) on Alli and covers, but Emily refuses to count, leading to a massive round of boos from the crowd. As Zoe gets up and argues with Emily, Alli rolls her up and Emily drops down, counting obscenely fast - still, Zoe breaks out before the three count and Emily, finally losing her cool, begins attacking Zoe!
Nick Webb: Come on!
Rayne: Okay, even I have to admit, this is going too far.
Emily and Alli begin beating on Zoe, turning this title bout into a handicap match. Alli picks Zoe up and kicks her in the gut before putting her in position for Emily to hit the Down in Flames, but before Emily can hit the move, the crowd roars - Austin Scott is making his way down the ramp! Austin slides into the ring and Emily tosses Zoe aside, both her and Alli meeting Austin. The two on one beatdown on Austin commences, until suddenly, a second figure appears, through the crowd - it's Akemi Hayashi!
Nick Webb: Akemi's here!
Rayne: But whose side is she on?
As if there was a question, that is answered almost immediately as Akemi charges at Alli, tackling her. Akemi begins laying into Alli with punches as Austin works on paying Emily back for what she did to him earlier in the evening. The brawl culminates in Akemi hitting Alli with the Gift of the Starflower (Devil Lock DDT), while Austin takes down Emily with the Law and Order (Pumphandle Slam). They help Zoe to her feet, who angrily measures up Alli. Alli rises to her feet and Zoe charges, hitting the Face Replacer! She covers Alli, but there's no referee! Luckily, Austin has it covered, as he drags Emily over to the cover and picks up her own hand before slapping it down to the mat three times! The bell rings and Zoe Cooper, against all odds, is still the BWF World Champion!
WINNER AND STILL BWF WORLD CHAMPION: Zoe Cooper, via Pinfall
"Happy" by Pharrell Williams plays as Austin helps Zoe to her feet and hands her the Sovereign and BWF World Titles. She turns and apologizes to Akemi for earlier tonight, who shrugs and tells Zoe she'll "get her next time, Gadget" while Emily and Alli slink out of the ring, defeated and humiliated. Emily screams "This is FAR from over!" at the trio, scowling as she stares them down.
Nick Webb: WOW! What a win for Zoe Cooper, who had all the odds against her going into this match tonight!
Rayne: She truly is unsinkable, Nick! Emily's most dastardly intentions couldn't even stop Cooper here in Las Vegas!
Nick Webb: To be fair... Alli and Emily failed tonight because the people they stepped on along the way came back and bit them in the ass. And frankly, they had it coming.
Rayne: Careful. She's still your boss.
Nick Webb: Hey, I calls 'em like I sees 'em. Folks, we're out of time here tonight. Thank you for tuning in to a memorable Retribution! We'll see you next Wednesday night for an all-new episode of Havok!
Rayne: That's if our ring truck doesn't get lost again! HA!
As Zoe, Austin and Akemi celebrate together, the pay-per-view feed fades to the BWF logo, and then finally to black.
