Episode 179 - August 6, 2014
Nick Webb: Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to a very special edition of Wednesday Night Havok! Why is it so special, Rayne?
Rayne: IT'S DRAFT DAY!
Nick Webb: It sure is! The fans here in the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri are on the edge of their seats as they wait to see which show their favorite wrestlers get drafted to. Not only that, but we have six, yes SIX huge matches for you tonight! We have the debut of Mike Ryder! We have Gabe Shelley's first Havok match in years, and his first appearance as Crisis World Champion! We have Hall of Famers galore!
Rayne: And, if that wasn't enough for you, in the main event, our 2014 Happenstance Queen and NEW BWF World Champion, the undefeated Zoe Cooper, puts her newly won title on the line against the man she pinned at Wreckless to claim it, former Champion Scorpio! Scorpio and Cooper have faced off a few times, with Zoe always coming out on top. Could tonight be the night the streak ends once and for all?
Nick Webb: We'll find out later tonight, but right now, let's take it to the stage, where our General Managers, Havok's Jacob Bishop and Crisis' Serena Miller, are standing by!
The cameras move to the stage, where a podium is set up with a table next to it. On the table sits a large, golden bingo tumbler with several sealed balls inside. Standing on either side of the podium are the new General Managers revealed at Wreckless, Jacob Bishop and Serena Miller. The crowd pops as "The Look" by Roxette hits the BlazenTron and the BWF C.E.O., Emily Corlen, steps out onto the stage. She walks up to the podium and smiles as the music fades and she speaks into the mic.
Emily Corlen: HELLO, ST. LOUIS!
Cheap pop from the hometown crowd.
Emily Corlen: We're gonna get things kicked off here in just a moment as each General Manager makes their first picks in the 2014 Draft. Before we start, though, I just wanted to lay down a few ground rules for the BWF going forward. Jacob, Serena, please pay attention.
Jacob stands at attention and pulls out a notebook and a pen, prepared to write things down. Serena might be paying attention. Emily assumes she is and continues.
Emily Corlen: First, Jacob kind of screwed up the festivities tonight by announcing a BWF World Title Match. As I've announced previously, the BWF World Title will remain exclusive to Havok, while the Crisis World Title will, obviously, remain the centerpiece of the Crisis brand. The issue here is, what happens, Jacob, should Scorpio defeat Zoe Cooper here tonight... and then gets drafted to Crisis?
Jacob's face goes a little red. He clearly hadn't thought of this possibility.
Jacob Bishop: I, uh...
Emily holds her hand up, silencing him.
Emily Corlen: Don't worry. Luckily for you, I've always got a plan B. Here's what we're going to do. As there happens to be an uneven number of draftees tonight anyway, I'm going to rule that the loser of tonight's BWF World Championship Match, or at least whoever is not the Champion when Havok goes off the air, will be automatically drafted to the Crisis brand.
The crowd cheers as Serena checks her manicure.
Nick Webb: Wow! That means Crisis is guaranteed to get either Scorpio or Zoe Cooper on their roster! That's a huge grab for them!
Emily Corlen: Second, I'd like to answer a few niggling questions fans have been pestering me with on social media. And before anybody gets upset with me, look the word up. I didn't say what you think I said.
She smirks before continuing.
Emily Corlen: Nick Webb, Rayne and Scott Benjamin have all come to me as a unit and requested the opportunity to work both Havok and Crisis events every week, no doubt looking to raise their already hefty paychecks. As I like them better than any other announcers, I have agreed to their request. And yes, Rayne... that does include health insurance for you.
Nick Webb: Hey hey! Awesome!
Rayne: I wish she didn't leave us hanging until now, though! Still, good to know! Alright!
Emily Corlen: I will be splitting up the interview team, however, between both programs. Don McMichael, the Senior Interviewer for BWF, will work both Havok and Crisis. Under him on Havok will be Akoda Yang and Kimberly Cranston, a brand new hire. On Crisis, Don will lead the team of Toshi Yang and Gabe Shelley's favorite backstage personality, the returning Will Irwin. You can all stop pestering me on Twitter about rehiring him now.
The crowd cheers. Will always was a crowd favorite.
Nick Webb: Sounds like Gabe gets his wish!
Emily Corlen: Onto title news... both the Tag Team Championships and the Chaos Theory Championship will be dual-branded titles, defended against both Havok and Crisis superstars... but ONLY at pay-per-view events. To clarify, say the Chaos Theory Champ, Mike Whats-his-name gets drafted to Crisis. He can defend the title all he wants on Crisis, but only at the next pay-per-view will the other brand have an opportunity to challenge for the belt. Same with the Tag Team Titles. I want to avoid brand co-mingling as much as possible. As far as the Sovereign and International Titles go... well, we'll see who ends up where at the end of the night. I may opt to do some shuffling around myself to even things out if needed. Cool?
Jacob finishes writing in his notebook and smiles. Serena twirls her hair and casually nods.
Emily Corlen: Also, in regards to the Chaos Theory Title, as of today, it will no longer be defended at each televised event. I still expect it to be defended with some regularity, but gimmick matches take a toll on everyone and I want to respect the safety and well-being of our superstars. I also want to avoid running out of gimmick matches.
The fans boo this a little, as many had noted online prior to the show that a Chaos Theory Title match wasn't advertised for tonight's event.
Emily Corlen: Finally, I know most of you saw my Wrestling News Now missive the other day where I called these two idiots and told them a machine would be picking the rosters for them.
The fans laugh as both Jacob and Serena look up at Emily. It's possible they don't visit WNN as often as they should.
Emily Corlen: Anywho, I thought to myself, what's the point of even having them around if I'm just going to sit in the back and press a button all night? Instead, I'm making them both be more involved, so, Jacob, Serena, tonight, you're going to be picking all of your draft picks by using this lovely golden tumbler. You'll each take turns drafting, let's say, two superstars each at a time? That should work out well time-wise. And... yeah. I think that's it. Sooo... let's officially kick off the 2014 Draft, shall we?
The fans cheer loudly at this as Emily grins.
Emily Corlen: I'm gonna head backstage and enjoy tonight's event from my office. Jacob, Serena... you have the floor. Play nice, or I'll put both of you Down in Flames.
"The Look" by Roxette starts playing as Emily waves goodbye to St. Louis and walks back through the curtain. The music fades and Jacob, Havok's General Manager who won the right to pick first at Wreckless, steps up to the tumbler. He turns the handle, opens the tumbler and pulls out the first ball of the night before approaching the podium.
Jacob Bishop: Very well, then. Hello, St. Louis!
Another cheap pop, though quieter than before.
Jacob Bishop: Right, you... want to know the draft pick. Understood. Havok's first draft pick of the evening is...
He unscrews the ball and pulls out the paper inside, reading it.
Jacob Bishop: ...KRISTY JACKSON!!!
A graphic for the former International Champion appears on-screen, confirming her official destination.
Nick Webb: Hell of a first pick for Havok! Kristy Jackson is a former International Champion who has proven herself quite competent in the ring. She'll definitely be a contender for either Scorpio or Zoe, depending on whoever leaves St. Louis with the BWF World Title later tonight.
Crisis' GM, Serena Miller, finally straightens up, adjusting her ample cleavage before approaching the tumbler herself. She spins it, opens it, pulls out a ball and approaches the podium.
Serena Miller: Hey. 'Sup. Guess it's time for this draft thingie, huh? Let's open the toy here and see what it says.
She unscrews the ball and pulls out the paper.
Serena Miller: Oh, cool, I saw him backstage. He was kinda hot. Oh, hang on, let me do my 'professional' voice. Ahem. "Crisis selects CASPIAN SAVAGE!!!" How's that?
Rayne: Not a bad first pick for Crisis! Caspian has all the tools to be big in BWF, and perhaps in a different environment with a smaller roster, he can start working his way up and make his mark as a member of the Crisis brand.
As Serena steps back, Jacob excitedly runs up to the tumbler again and turns it. He reaches in, pulls out his ball and opens it. What he sees excites him even more.
Jacob Bishop: Oh, fantastic! Now THAT'S a draft pick! Havok's next draft pick is... SPYKE GEIN!!!
Nick Webb: A fantastic pick for Havok, indeed! Spyke Gein is a former BWF Tag Team Champion, in addition to holding accolades in many other companies, including Pioneer Wrestling. Spyke is, of course, a member of The Rejects alongside Allen Chaney, so for the sake of their team, hopefully Allen will make it onto Havok as well.
Almost jealous at the excitement Jacob's showing, Serena pushes past him and turns the tumbler before retrieving her own second ball. She wastes no time in opening it, revealing Crisis' next pick.
Serena Miller: Okay, hey, I know this guy! He's the one who got his face plowed in at Wreckless! We got TOCO!!!
Rayne: Despite having a rough run of things lately, Toco is a BWF Hall of Famer. He's a former World Heavyweight Champion, the precursor to the current Crisis World Title, and he's held almost every other title in BWF as well, including Tag Team, International, Sovereign (when it was the United States Title) and then some. Overall, definitely a strong pick there for Crisis.
"Let It Roll", the Havok theme, starts playing as the fans cheer and both GMs head backstage for the time being.
Nick Webb: We're heading to commercial right now, folks, but when we get back, we'll have in-ring action, plus the continuation of the 2014 Draft! Don't go anywhere!
The bell rings and the debuting Mike Ryder immediately charges the former Chaos Theory Champion, taking Mick down with a hard tackle. The Green Bay native receives quite a bit of support from the fans as he works on Mick, nearly gaining a couple of near falls while keeping a tight hold on the momentum of the match. As the match winds to an end, Mick starts to gain a foothold and regain his bearings, but a Big Boot Bomb (Standing Broski Boot) from Ryder drops Mick hard. From there, Ryder pulls Mick to his feet, sets him up, and delivers the Milky Way Destroyer (Canadian Destroyer) before covering the masked madman for the 1, 2, 3!
WINNER: Mike Ryder, via Pinfall
"Radio" by Downstait plays on the BlazenTron as Mike Ryder rolls out of the ring and celebrates with the fans as they cheer for the newcomer.
Nick Webb: Mike Ryder wins! What a match, what a debut for this young man!
Rayne: He came onto Havok a nobody, but I can't imagine either GM being unhappy if this kid gets drafted onto their program here tonight!
After Havok returns from commercial, we rejoin the Havok and Crisis GMs on the stage, ready for more draft picks. Jacob is already turning the tumbler and picks his first ball, opening it before approaching the podium.
Jacob Bishop: Ooh, this next one, it's a good one, yeah? This little lady almost became the BWF World Champion at Wreckless, and now, it looks as if she'll have another chance to earn the gold. Havok's next pick is... ALLI TAYLOR!!!
Nick Webb: Alli Taylor comes from the classic days of the old BWF. She's a former Tag Team Champion alongside Hall of Famer Katie James, and she's been on a tear since returning earlier this year... especially if your name is Zoe Cooper. I imagine if Zoe retains tonight, Alli will have plenty to say to her in the coming weeks.
Back on the stage, Serena has already pulled her next ball and is waiting.
Serena Miller: I think this pick is going to make my friend Tallboy here very happy, actually. I'm not complaining one bit. Crisis' next selection... is JOHNNY MAVERICK!!!
The crowd roars at this, while Jacob does a jig.
Jacob Bishop: Bloody fantastic! My face is safe from punches!
Rayne: Ha ha... lucky you, ya limey bastard. I'll tell you whose face isn't safe from punches... Crisis World Champion Gabe Shelley. Johnny's hurting, but he's also damn determined to get another shot at the Crisis Title after falling just short at Wreckless, and with the stars aligned, it looks like Johnny just may get his chance.
After finishing his happy dance, Jacob spins the tumbler and selects his next ball before approaching the podium.
Jacob Bishop: Right, then... the next selection for Havok... ooh, very nice, indeed. I see a lot of potential in this individual. Havok selects JAMES CARSON!!!
Nick Webb: Carson is a case very much like Caspian Savage, in that a change in the landscape could do him a world of good. Carson came close to defeating Logan Havoc and Savage at Wreckless, but fell just short. Still, he's shown skill in the past, and he is formidable in his own right. All-around, a solid pick for Havok.
As the graphic fades, Serena picks her next ball and opens it, looking quite excited before turning her attention to the podium.
Serena Miller: Oh my god. I so want to hang out with this chick. Awesome pick! Crisis gets DESTINY FIGGINS!!!
Rayne: And Crisis gains one half of the BWF Tag Team Champion Justicars of Illium! It's no guarantee that Destiny's partner, Alison, will follow, but even if she doesn't, Destiny is a solid draft pick in her own right. She is a Figgins, after all!
Nick Webb: And speaking of, the Justicars will be in action when we come back, as they face The Ultimates in tag team action! Don't go anywhere!
The bell rings with both Alison and Stone kicking things off for their team. Hardcore Mike seems perturbed when Stone opts to shake Alison's hand prior to locking up, impressing the Tag Champs but angering his partner.
Nick Webb: Stone and Hardcore Mike are like oil and water. Two polar opposites, one a fan favorite, the other a villain... yet somehow, they work. It's an odd combo, but a fairly successful one thus far in the BWF.
Alison and Stone continue wrestling for several minutes, going back and forth, each gaining several near falls. After they both collide in the center of the ring when Stone goes for a spear and Alison goes for a crossbody, they both crawl to their corners and tag out to Mike and Destiny. As Stone and Alison roll out of the ring in pain, Destiny starts flying around the ring, keeping the bigger Hardcore Mike on his toes and slightly ruffled. She starts to gain the advantage with a series of high flying moves, but Spyke Gein appears out of nowhere on the ring apron, yelling at Destiny!
Nick Webb: What are The Rejects doing out here?
Rayne: Probably here to protest their poor treatment at Wreckless!
Nick Webb: Oh, come on! They lost fair and square!
As the referee argues with Spyke to exit the ring, Allen Chaney suddenly cracks Destiny in the back of her head with her own Tag Team Title belt! The crowd boos loudly as Allen quickly vacates the ring and drops the title, running up the ramp. Spyke drops off the apron, seemingly acquiescing to the demands of the ref, who has no idea what just happened. He turns around just in time to see Hardcore Mike covering Destiny and slides into position, counting the 1, 2, 3. The Ultimates win!
WINNERS: The Ultimates, via Pinfall
"British Invasion" by Dale Oliver hits as Hardcore Mike exits the ring, helping Stone to his feet, who was still down after his collision with Alison and, as a result, didn't see a bit of what just occurred. When Stone questions his partner, Mike tells him he just pinned Destiny fair and square in the center of the ring, which pleases Stone (though he likely wouldn't be thrilled if he knew the truth).
Nick Webb: I don't believe it! Those damn Rejects! They just screwed the Tag Team Champions - again!
Rayne: Oh, chill out. It was a non-title match. Your precious princesses are fine.
Nick Webb: So, what, are Chaney and Gein just going to keep assaulting the girls every chance they get now until they get the Tag Team Titles back? This is ridiculous!
Rayne: Forget about that, Nick. The real story here is that The Ultimates just pinned the Champs! That has to put them in line for a title shot!
Nick Webb: I'm sure The Rejects will start targeting them, too, then. This "nobody gets anything but us" mentality of theirs makes me sick!
The draft continues, as Havok returns from commercial and Jacob Bishop is standing by, his next pick in hand.
Jacob Bishop: Let's get things rolling right along, yeah? This young gent had a spectacular debut earlier this evening, and I'm glad to say he will be remaining with us here on Havok. Our next pick... is MIKE RYDER!!!
Nick Webb: Mike Ryder did have a spectacular debut earlier tonight, and it should certainly put him in line for big things on Havok... if he can keep up his winning ways, of course.
Serena Miller rolls the tumbler, picks her ball and opens it. Her smile gets bigger as she approaches the podium.
Serena Miller: We got more gold, bitches! Crisis gets CHRIS MAVERICK!!!
Rayne: Serena Miller may be fairly unobservant, but even she knows who this guy is! Chris won a Six-Pack Challenge a week ago at Wreckless to become the new International Champion, and now, he's taking his talents to Crisis, along with the gold!
Jacob spins the tumbler, selects his ball and cracks it open before approaching the podium.
Jacob Bishop: Oh, this one, I am excited about. We may not have gotten the International Title on Havok, but we did just pull the longest reigning International Champion in BWF history! Havok selects AUSTIN SCOTT!!!
Nick Webb: Austin Scott is a former International, Tag Team and Chaos Theory Champion here in BWF. He's a solid hand with big things in his future. He'll certainly thrive on Havok!
On the stage, Serena is finishing pulling her next ball out of the tumbler. She opens it and smiles before approaching the podium.
Serena Miller: More girl power, y'all! Crisis' next pick is AKEMI HAYASHI!!!
Rayne: Another great pick for Crisis! Akemi is the longest reigning Chaos Theory Champion ever, and she's only just getting started in BWF. She had a tough loss in TLC at Wreckless, but what better place than Crisis to get a fresh start?
Nick Webb: It's time for another commercial, folks, but when we come back, Logan Havoc faces his biggest challenge yet, as he takes on BWF Hall of Famer Casey Campbell! Will Havoc's streak continue? We'll be back after this!
Casey and Logan lock up right at the start of the match, a frustrated Casey is looking to right the ship, as it were, and get back to his winning ways while Logan is looking to keep his Zoe Cooper-esque streak alive. Casey uses his power to back Logan up and whip him across the ring, catching him on the way back with a scoop powerslam, going for a quick cover and getting a one count. Casey gets to his feet and picks Logan up, but Havoc fights him off with a few short right hands to the midsection, Logan hitting the ropes behind him and drives his forearm into the side of the head of Casey. Campbell stumbles from the impact and Logan starts his offense with a flurry of rights and lefts.
Nick Webb: Casey might be in a bad way after that solid hit from Logan!
Casey hits the mat with a bump and gets back to his feet with a smirk on his face. He wipes his mouth as Havoc gives a smirk back. Casey starts to circle again. Logan charges and leaps attempting a dropkick but Casey moves to the left and kicks Logan mid-air. Havoc hits the mat as Casey starts kicking his downed opponent. Havoc rolls out of the ring to recover and trips Casey as he gets too close to the ropes. Havoc climbs to the apron and mounts the top turnbuckle and leaps off landing on the downed man with a splash. The ref counts but Casey kicks out. Logan gets to his feet and argues with the ref about a slow count. When he turns around, out of nowhere he’s PWNED!!! (Point-Blank Spear)! Casey goes for the cover, getting the 1, 2, 3!
WINNER: Casey Campbell, via Pinfall
Nick Webb: Casey just defeated Logan Havoc!
Rayne: Casey needed this win to re-establish himself, I think.
Nick Webb: That he did, let’s see where he goes from here.
We return to the stage, where Jacob Bishop is waiting, open ball in hand. (The draft kind, you perverts.)
Jacob Bishop: I'm quite happy with this pick, as it reunites one of the roughest teams in BWF under the Havok brand. We saw them earlier tonight and you'll continue to see them every time Havok is on the air. Our next pick, of course, is ALLEN CHANEY!!!
Nick Webb: Looks like The Rejects are sticking together on Havok! Allen is a former AoWF World Champion, in addition to his exploits with the BWF Tag Team Titles, and no matter what title he decides to target, it's never a good idea to bet against Allen Chaney. He could easily be a future BWF World Champion. Easily.
Serena spins the tumbler, pulls out her ball, opens it and walks up to the podium.
Serena Miller: Oh yeah? Well, I'll see your Allen Chaney and I'll raise you a tag team guy of my own! Crisis gets HARDCORE MIKE!!!
Rayne: Hardcore Mike, of The Ultimates, just pinned Destiny Figgins of The Justicars of Illium earlier tonight in a non-title tag team match. With both of them now members of the Crisis roster, it's safe to say that these two will be meeting again!
Jacob approaches the tumbler, rolls it, pulls out his next pick and reads it before taking to the podium.
Jacob Bishop: Oh, this might be the best draft pick Havok has gotten yet. As a fan, this one excites me a lot! Havok gets... ELIZABETH DAVIS!!!
Nick Webb: Hey! NICE pick for Havok! Liz Davis is a former BWF World Champion, and later tonight, she'll be facing the Crisis World Champion, Gabe Shelley, in a non-title match. If she can win, that'll go a long way toward getting her another shot at the BWF World Title, no matter who has it after tonight!
Serena looks a little disappointed that Havok got Davis, even as she picks her next ball and opens it.
Serena Miller: Well, I mean, it's no Elizabeth Davis or anything... but you know what? I think this is a good pick for Crisis. OMEN IV!!!
Rayne: Omen IV is a former Chaos Theory Champion with a huge upside in the BWF! He has a fairly sizable fan following, and who can forget the flip off the top rope he hit Mick Horrorflick with at Wreckless? That was INSANE! Lots of energy getting pulled to Crisis with this pick!
Nick Webb: The draft continues later tonight, but coming up next... at Wreckless, a mysterious attacker left Toco for dead backstage, removing him from Hellbound and leading to events that would see Gabe Shelley become the fifth man and win the match. Halfway through the match, Toco emerged, sledgehammer in hand, and broke through the cell, ultimately costing AJ Adams the match after seemingly implicating him in the attack! Next, AJ Adams and Toco go one on one! This one's gonna be explosive!
Both Adams and Toco make their way to the ring, but before the referee can ring the bell, Toco asks him to wait and motions for a mic. He tells the St. Louis crowd that he's got something to say regarding what happened to him at Wreckless, as Adams eyes him warily. Toco begins explaining that he was jumped while he was enjoying a delicious ham sandwich at the event, and while he had his suspicions who attacked him at the show itself, he went and got security camera footage from the Pepsi Center to prove it without a shadow of a doubt.
Nick Webb: Really?
Rayne: I think we're about to find out a juicy secret!
Toco starts to ask for the folks in the production truck to play the video he handed them earlier, but halfway through the question, Adams nails Toco with a stiff clothesline, knocking the big man off his feet.
Nick Webb: ...I guess AJ doesn't care who attacked Toco!
Rayne: Of course not, he's not here to participate in Unsolved Mysteries, he's here to wrestle!
Adams begins a furious assault on Toco, refusing to let the Hall of Famer up from the mat. Though the referee warns Adams several times, he never breaks any rules as he wears Toco down over the next two minutes, continuing to work on the head of Toco, which was hurt at Wreckless. Adams pulls Toco to his feet and holds him in position, then whispers something into the big man's ear before dropping him to the mat with the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail). Adams covers Toco and earns the 1, 2, 3 to a mixed reaction from the fans.
WINNER: AJ Adams, via Pinfall
Nick Webb: Quite a display from AJ Adams there... showcasing a ferocity we haven't seen from the two-time BWF World Champ in some time.
Rayne: Adams was in the final three at Hellbound. No doubt he wants to regain that top spot and become a three-time World Champ in BWF, be it on Havok or Crisis.
Nick Webb: His definitive win over Toco no doubt moved him closer to that goal tonight.
We return to the draft headquarters on the stage, where Jacob Bishop is already waiting to announce Havok's next pick.
Jacob Bishop: I'm going to be entirely honest with you all, I haven't the faintest idea who this next fellow is. I understand this man has yet to make his BWF debut, and I can promise you all now that it will happen in two weeks on Havok. Our next pick... is COREY KILLER!!!
Nick Webb: Kind of a mystery pick for Havok here, but it could pay dividends if Corey Killer brings it when he makes his Havok debut. We'll find out in two weeks!
Serena has already made her next pick, and she seems confused as well.
Serena Miller: Uh, who's this guy? Is he new? I have no idea. I didn't see him backstage. Well, I'm sure it's not a mistake. Crisis' next draft pick is... ALEX RICHARDS!!!
Rayne: Hey hey! Alex Richards is off the injured reserve list? That's great news for Crisis! I can't wait to see this guy in action again! He went down too quickly after making his debut earlier this year. Crisis'll get to see what he can do firsthand - and soon!
Jacob makes his next selection from the tumbler, and this one, he seems notably happier about.
Jacob Bishop: Oh, lovely, lovely pick. I'm a fan of what this man can do after witnessing it with my own eyes at Wreckless, and he'll no doubt blossom further under my keen leadership. Havok's next draft selection is your Chaos Theory Champion... MIKE MOX!!!
Nick Webb: Nice pick! Mox's first BWF run sputtered out badly, but a kick in the pants to the unemployment line was just what he needed, it seems - since being rehired, Mox has been on a tear, most recently winning the huge TLC Match at Wreckless to retain that Chaos Theory Title!
Serena Miller makes her next pick and starts jumping up and down in excitement, much to the enjoyment of the male viewers in the audience.
Serena Miller: AJ ADAMS! WE GOT AJ ADAMS!!!
Rayne: Oh, man! She's got every reason to be excited! AJ Adams is a two-time BWF World Champion! He won Hellbound VIII! He's main evented WrestleFest! Adams is the total package and a HUGE pull for Crisis!
Nick Webb: While the Crisis GM wets herself over drafting AJ Adams, we have to take a short break, but when we return, the Crisis World Champion himself, Gabe Shelley, makes his long-awaited in-ring return to Havok, as he battles former BWF World Champion Elizabeth Davis! It's the first of two huge main events for tonight's show and it is NEXT!
Right after Shelley made his way out, Johnny Maverick came out to the top of the ramp to get a good view of the match. The bell rings and Liz and Gabe lock up immediately, Gabe having the experience edge is able to wrap Liz’s arm behind her back with a hammerlock, which he transitions into a side headlock, flipping Davis over on her back to synch in the headlock deeper. Davis forces Shelley back and locks him in a scissor headlock, but Shelley is able to kip up out of it and catch Elizabeth getting back up and hits the ropes, swinging her down with a neckbreaker. The Crisis champion goes for a quick cover, Liz kicking out after one. Davis si to her feet with Gabe, Gabe blocking a right hand and going for a spinning back first, but Liz ducks and goes for a quick schoolboy, only getting a one count. Both Liz and Gabe get to their feet quickly and Gabe catching Liz with a swift kick to the midsection, doubling her over long enough for Gabe to plant her straight down with a DDT. Shooting the half, Gabe goes for another cover, getting a two count.
Nick Webb: The Crisis World Champion is looking good in his first singles match back.
Rayne: Liz is keeping up though, don’t count her out.
Gabe locks ahold of Liz’s head in a front chancery, wearing her down, but doesn’t really follow up with anything right away, allowing for Liz to reach down and flip Gabe up and over to his back with a Northern Lights suplex. The referee gets a two count before Gabe kicks out. Davis presses her advantage with a knife edge chop as Shelley gets up, followed by a swift kick to the right leg of Gabe, followed by a quick dragon screw. With the champion prone, Liz really starts going to work, elevating Gabe’s leg and stomping right behind his knee repeatedly, really getting a knot in his hamstring. Liz quickly spins around and locks in the Maple Leaf Lock (Figure 4 Leg Lock) and Gabe sits up in pain.
Rayne: What did I tell you? She’s got it locked in, the match is over!
Nick Webb: Not yet, Gabe is near the ropes!
Despite her best efforts, Elizabeth is unable to prevent Gabe from getting to the ropes and she’s forced to break the hold. Liz drags Gabe back out to the center and goes for her hold again, but she’s rolled up by Gabe for a two count! As they both get to their feet, Gabe whips Liz into the corner, running in after her with a splash, limping after making contact. He tosses her out of the corner and gets to the middle rope, leaping off with a bulldog driving her into the mat. The crowd starts cheering for Gabe as he grabs Davis on her way back up to her feet, spinning out and delivering his Jersey Cutter (Twist of Fate). More cheers as Gabe gets a near fall, knowing he has to do something stronger. He picks Liz up and set up his reVolt (Cradle Shock), but Davis slides down his back, he spins around and is caught out of nowhere with the Clocks Strike Midnight (Trouble in Paradise)! The crowd is stunned as Liz goes for the cover, getting the 1, 2, 3!
WINNER: Elizabeth Davis, via Pinfall
Nick Webb: Liz just pinned the Crisis Champion!
Rayne: I knew it! I’ve said it all along!
"Acapella" by Karmin starts playing and even Elizabeth is a little surprised at the three count, but she quickly smiles and gets to her feet, heading over to shout at the timekeepers. Johnny just shakes his head and walks to the back as Liz grabs the Crisis World Title and lays down beside Gabe, holding the title up and smiling at the camera.
Nick Webb: She may be a member of the Havok roster, but Liz isn't wasting an opportunity to pose with the Crisis World Title before the draft concludes! Not the way Gabe Shelley wanted to return to Havok, I'm sure.
We return to the stage, where Jacob Bishop is standing by, next pick all lined up.
Jacob Bishop: Ladies and gents, we're in the last throes of the draft, only four more picks to be made per brand, and I am going to start off our final run here pleasurably, as Havok earns another strong hand. The next individual coming to Havok... is CASEY CAMPBELL!!!
Nick Webb: Excellent pick for Havok! Casey Campbell is a BWF Hall of Famer, a former BWF and RXW World Champion, and just earlier tonight, he broke the three match winning streak of Logan Havoc! If anybody can ride that momentum to something bigger, it's certainly "The PWNStar" Casey Campbell.
As Jacob finishes, Serena has already pulled her next name and opened it.
Serena Miller: Yeah, that's great and all, but we here at Crisis like to invest in current Champions, not potential ones. The Tag Team Champions stay together! ALISON JAMES is coming to Crisis!!!
Rayne: Not only does this pick keep the Justicars of Illium together as a unit, but Alison James is an impressive performer in her own right. She won the TGW Volitionary Title in 2011 in just her third pro match - and first ever singles match - off former PWA World Champion Lucious Starr! She's also a former RXW Tag Team Champion alongside Allen Chaney as A-Squared, which is ironic, considering their current blood feud going on.
Jacob rolls the tumbler and makes his next selection from the few remaining balls still inside.
Jacob Bishop: Moving right along, then... ah! Here we go, a solid hand indeed. Havok drafts MICK HORRORFLICK!!!
Nick Webb: Before losing the title to Akemi Hayashi some time ago, the dastardly "Sick" Mick Horrorflick was the longest reigning Chaos Theory Champion. He has a penchant for nasty and he isn't afraid to hurt himself to hurt others... a dangerous quality in a professional wrestler.
Serena picks the next ball without even shaking the tumbler and cracks it open before stepping up to the podium.
Serena Miller: We're almost done, right? I'm hungry. Blah. Up next, Crisis gets... ooh. Nice! Another hottie! JACK "THE MACK" HAMMER!!!
Rayne: Jack "The Mack" Hammer is one-half of The Love Hammers, always a perennial contender for the BWF Tag Team Titles.
Nick Webb: That's if Crisis gets Hammer's partner, Caruso Love! We'll find out in just a few minutes... we have one more commercial break to take, but when we return, we'll have the final two draft picks for each brand, along with our BWF World Title Match main event between Scorpio and Zoe Cooper! One of them is leaving St. Louis with the BWF World Title, and the other is heading to Crisis! We'll find out who after this!

Jacob Bishop: Alright! Two more draft picks... let's make 'em good, eh?
Jacob smiles as he walks up to the tumbler and turns it, shaking up the remaining four balls inside. After stopping, he opens it, pulls one out and then tosses it aside before grabbing a different one. He steps up to the podium, ball in hand.
Jacob Bishop: Havok's second to last draft pick is...
He opens the ball and smiles.
Jacob Bishop: Lovely! LOGAN HAVOC!!!
Nick Webb: Despite suffering his first loss earlier tonight, Logan Havoc is a serious blue chipper who has greatness written all over him. With his skill, he could certainly be a future Sovereign or World Champion!
Serena steps up to the tumbler, reaches inside, and pulls out the ball Jacob had tossed aside just moments before. She returns to the podium.
Serena Miller: Let's see who wasn't good enough for Tea and Crumpets...
She opens the ball and unfolds the paper.
Serena Miller: Wow, you missed out on splitting up a tag team! Crisis gets STONE!!!
Rayne: Alright! The Ultimates will remain a unit on Crisis!
Jacob steps up to the tumbler, observes the remaining two balls, and finally selects one. Serena reaches in and grabs the other as he opens his.
Jacob Bishop: And the final individual coming to Havok is... oh, the big Irish fellow! FINN MCCONNAIGH!!!
Nick Webb: The Emerald Giant, rounding out a quite impressive roster for BWF Havok. Finn came up on the losing end at Happenstance and Wreckless, but he has the skill, and he could be a contender anytime he decides he wants to be. Who's going to stop him if he makes up his mind?
Serena cracks open her ball and shoves Jacob out of the way.
Serena Miller: That means, of course, that the final draft pick for Crisis is another team that Havok won't be breaking up. The last pick for Crisis is CARUSO LOVE!!!
Rayne: The Love Hammers are coming to Crisis as a unit! Awesome!
Nick Webb: I expect we'll see their rivalry with The Justicars renewed after what happened between them at Wreckless. Right now, though, that concludes the 2014 draft, folks... so let's not waste any more time! Let's take it to Scott for the introductions... it's time to decide the fate of the BWF World Championship!
The bell rings and Zoe starts the match off with a knife-edge chop. Scorpio reels back from the attack, returns fire with a stiff knee to the gut. Grabbing her in a waist lock, he rams Zoe into the turnbuckle. Zoe blocks an attempt at knee strikes, catching Scorpio's leg and spinning him around and whacking him with a stiff elbow to the back of the head. Zoe plants him into the mat with a stiff knee of her own to the back of the head. Zoe goes to pick him up, and Scorpio rakes the eyes to regain control. Scorpio rolls to his feet and pulls Zoe into a headscissors, but Zoe drops out of it and tackles him to the mat, unleashing rights and lefts before he grabs the ropes to force a break.
Nick Webb: Scorpio is out for revenge and to get his title back, but Zoe didn’t come this far to lose in her first match.
Rayne: Scorpio will get his way, he has the people on his side.
Nick Webb: A few people, sure. I'd say Zoe is far more popular tonight in St. Louis.
Back to their feet, they go for a collar and elbow tie up, but Scorpio wins quickly and locks in a side-headlock. Zoe powers out of it with some nice elbows, and then runs the ropes right into a double armed chop. Scorpio follows up with a Butterfly Backbreaker and another side headlock. Zoe pushes the two of them to their feet, and pushes him off, but he holds on and drags her back to the mat. This continues on two more times until Zoe manages to squirm out of the hold. Scorpio turns around and falls to the mat from a knife-edge chop. He stands up and it's on as the two of them start to wail on each other with stiff chops and kicks that are heard throughout the arena.
Nick Webb: These two are really going at it here!
Scorpio hits another boot, but Zoe turns from the attack and floors him with a leaping heel kick. Zoe takes over with more strikes, but Scorpio runs the ropes from one attack and flies over Zoe for a sunset flip... and Zoe just slaps Scorpio hard. He gets to his feet and Zoe kicks Scorpio's head off! Zoe drops to the mat and applies a chinlock of her own, but Scorpio goes to the corner and pushes them up. Zoe hits a few kicks, but Scorpio slaps the teeth right out of her mouth. Zoe claps a bit, and turns around, hitting a spinning kick to the face. Scorpio ducks a Yakuza kick and tosses Zoe like a pizza though, and then lights her up with chops, just irritating her. Zoe returns the slap, and Scorpio responds by stomping on her head in brutal fashion.
Rayne: Scorpio has her on the ropes now, he’s going for the win.
Scorpio hits a backbreaker and follows it up with a fall away slam for 2. Zoe escapes a waist lock as but turns around to eat a dropkick. She runs into a pair of hard boots but finally hits a desperation powerslam to get back into it. Zoe starts to get her groove back as she hits a pair of clotheslines, a vertical suplex and a flying lariat for 2. Zoe goes for the Face Replacer (Running Bryan-Style Knee) but Scorpio is able to duck out of the way. Scorpio hoists Zoe up for the Dreamwave (Tommy Dreamer's TommyHawk), however before he can deliver the move, from out of nowhere Alli Taylor appears and leaps off the top rope, catching Zoe with a diving neckbreaker off of Scorpio's shoulders! The referee calls for the bell and Scorpio looks pissed.
WINNER AND STILL BWF WORLD CHAMPION: Zoe Cooper, via Disqualification
Realizing that he has very little to care about in this regard now as his loss makes him a member of the Crisis roster, Scorpio just leaves the ring as Alli starts working over Zoe some more, kicking and stomping her until the roar of the crowd alerts her that Austin Scott is making his way down to the ring along with officials. Alli escapes the ring and hops the barricade, motioning that she’s going to be the next champion.
Nick Webb: Zoe retains thanks to that heinous attack from Alli Taylor!
Rayne: If Taylor hadn’t interfered, I would have been right, so I’m calling it a win.
Nick Webb: Needless to say, I'm sure Zoe Cooper and our GM, Jacob Bishop, will have something to say about this moving forward. Folks, we're out of time tonight, but thank you for tuning in to what was certainly an unforgettable draft special! For Rayne, I'm Nick Webb... we'll see you next week on the return of Crisis! Same bat time, same bat channel! Good night!
We see one final shot of Zoe recovering in the ring, being helped up by Austin Scott and several officials, before Havok fades to the BWF logo, and then finally to black.
