Episode 175 - June 30, 2014
Nick Webb: Don't touch that dial... you're tuned in to a brand-new episode of Monday Night Havok! We are live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada at the Scotiabank Saddledome for what is guaranteed to be one hell of a night!
Rayne: The 2014 Happenstance Queen, Zoe Cooper, is in action tonight as she faces Johnny Maverick, who has been on one hell of a roll since returning to the BWF. Zoe's opponent at Wreckless, the new BWF World Champion Scorpio, is ALSO in action tonight for the first time since winning the title, as he teams with AJ Adams to face off against Casey Campbell and the woman whose title reign he ended at Happenstance, Elizabeth Davis.
The Fall of the Monarch
The lights in the arena go out, the volume of the crowd is raised as they buzz about, wondering where the lights went, did the power go out? Was there a short? The crowd began to stir a bit, feeling a slight vibe of unease filling the arena. Then, one light, one bright spot light shines down on the stage. Music begins to fade in as lights begin to flash along the stage, the music gets louder and louder as lights on the stage begin to reveal a live band playing the music, followed by an entire vocal choir.
Climb.
Climb.
Climb to the top of the world.
The lights continue to flash along with the music, the music growing stronger and stronger, the crowd unsure of what to do, most of them cheering with the music.
And as you stand tall, you will see...
The choir continues along with the powerful backing band.
That when you fall...
You will fall from a height most men will never reach.
The music continues on after the choir falls silent, it grows dark in tone, then all of the sudden, it finishes, with the last tone being of a heart monitor flatlining, during the long drawn out tone of the flatline, into the spotlight, still shining down on the stage, comes the new BWF World Champion, Scorpio... the tone then fades.
Nick Webb: Ladies and gentlemen... the Champ is here!
Then, the lights kick back on as “Dreamwave” By Vogel hits the BlazenTron and the crowd explodes into a roar of approval. Scorpio soaks in the cheers for a moment before he continues down the ramp, his white ring gear having an odd sheen to it tonight, reflecting like almost like a disco ball. A huge smile creasing his face, he wastes no time interacting with fans on his way down to the ring and he makes his way quickly up the ring steps, before Scott Benjamin could introduce him, Scorpio stole the microphone away and tapped it a few times. His theme music faded, however the cheers of the Working Class did not.
Rayne: He's got some of the crowd eating out of his hands, but the rest of them don't give a damn - and rightly so.
Nick Webb: Scorpio's been an inspiration to the Working Class, Rayne!
Rayne: Whatever. He's not Matt Stone or Elizabeth Davis. I couldn't care less.
Scorpio went to speak however the more his fans cheered for him, the wider he smiled and couldn't bring himself to get them to stop, though the show must go on and after another minute of enjoyment, he raised his hand to speak.
Scorpio: Ladies and gentlemen, as much as I appreciate the admiration of my working class fans... the show must go on... and tonight I have some very... very important work to do.
He shifted his title on his shoulder just slightly as he looked out to the crowd.
Scorpio: As a BWF Superstar, I have yet to take a nights rest, and tonight is no different, however now, I not only represent myself... but also the 19,000 people here tonight who are ready for change. Happenstance was just the beginning. Happenstance was merely the drop in the bucket that started the ripple. Happenstance only changed one thing... and that's the change to a face who fights for you. Elizabeth Davis was not the champion she should've been. She looked at this shiny title and felt nothing but corruption as she slowly lost grip of who she really was... and lashed out against those who would seem to hold power over her. Elizabeth Davis had her eye on one thing... and that was making sure she walked out of Happenstance with this around her waist. Matt Stone lied and cheated his way to the top, and once he was there, he spit in the face of all those who would be considered his equal. These two never saw the bigger picture.
Scorpio shifted the title from his shoulder and down to his hand. He then held it up.
Scorpio: This title in the hands of those two meant nothing, as they do not know how to use it. This title isn't just a belt signifying the best... it is a symbol of power... but only one whose power is revealed to the right person. Elizabeth Davis saw the power, and let it rot her mind. Casey Campbell saw the power, and he tried to change it out of fear. I see the power... I see it and I do not fear it... I embrace it. I embrace this power because I know that this is the power I need to bring the Working Class Revolution to the front of everyone's mind. Every wrestler in the back will see what power I control... and that the Working Class will not accept just anyone to challenge this power. They will have to earn it.
Scorpio laid the title down at his feet.
Scorpio: A BWF Superstar will have to earn the right to challenge, and no longer will the fans or I agree to those who are handed shots because they just happened to be standing by... which is why I know that the fans will agree with me when I say that I am looking forward to Wreckless... because finally, a wrestler has earned their shot... and that wrestler's name is Zoe Cooper. The latest in a long line of Happenstance Monarchs. Zoe, I relish the opportunity to face you in the middle of this ring... not because of past experiences... but because I'm glad it's someone who earned the right... and not just some name Emily Corlen pulled from a hat... but I warn you... this won't end like out last encounter.
Scorpio smirked slightly.
Scorpio: The Working Class Revolution has just begun, and this is the year of the Scorpio. I've gone through too much work for this ride to end in just a few short weeks... but fear not... because you climbed to the top of the ladder, and now you're finally worthy to face someone of an equal challenge. But, when you ultimately fall, you will see that you've fallen from a height most men never reach... and it's just the way things will be for now.
"Dreamwave" by Vogel hits the BlazenTron as he hands tosses the microphone over the top rope to Scott Benjamin and slips out of the ring.
Nick Webb: Scorpio, already looking ahead to his first challenge as World Champion, the undefeated Zoe Cooper, whom he defends that title against on July 28 at Wreckless.
Rayne: I hope Zoe beats his ass into the stratosphere.
Nick Webb: Rayne! We're both supposed to be impartial!
Rayne: HE TOOK STONE AND DAVIS AWAY FROM ME. HE CAN ROT IN HELL.
Nick Webb: You know Liz didn't go anywhere, right? She's competing in tonight's main event.
Rayne: I KNOW. It's just not the same, Nick. I wouldn't expect you to understand.
Nick Webb: I don't expect anybody understands.
The bell rings as Austin Scott and Hardcore Mike lock up in the center of the ring. Mike throws Scott into the corner and goes for a clothesline, but Austin dodges and catches Mike with a spinebuster. He goes for the cover but sees Stone ready to hop onto the apron and pauses. Realizing The Ultimates aren't likely to play fair, Austin decides to cut them off at the pass and slides out of the ring, going after Stone. Stone runs around the ring and Austin chases him, only to run straight into a big boot from a recovered Hardcore Mike as he rounds the third corner.
Nick Webb: Ooh! Scott didn't see that one coming.
As Stone yells on in encouragement, Mike picks Austin up and throws him into the ring, then slides inside and covers, though he barely gets two. He pulls Austin to his feet and aims a superkick at the former Champion, but Austin ducks it, then as Mike spins around, Austin kicks him in the gut, lifts him up and delivers a huge sit-down powerbomb! He covers, but only gets two as the crowd groans audibly.
Rayne: Hell of a powerbomb by Austin Scott, who only gets two from that exchange.
As Austin pulls Mike to his feet, Stone throws a biker chain into the ring to boos from the crowd. The referee grabs the item and goes to dispose of it, but Stone uses the opportunity to toss a pair of knucks to Mike. He grabs Austin's attention, who doesn't see the exchange, and when he turns around, Hardcore Mike cracks him in the face with the brass knucks! He covers... 1... 2... no! Austin kicks out before three and neither of The Ultimates can believe it!
Nick Webb: Austin Scott is busted open - the referee has no idea what's happening - but dammit, this match is far from over!
Frustrated, Mike hits Austin with a few kicks before heading to the top rope and posing to loud boos from the Canadian fans. He jumps off with a Swanton Bomb, but Austin has the wherewithal to roll out of the way, leaving Mike to smash into the canvas! Without missing a beat, the bloody Austin grabs Hardcore Mike and cinches in the Lock 'Em Up (Rings of Saturn)! The fans erupt, but before Mike can tap out, Stone slides into the ring and leaps onto Austin, breaking up the submission and forcing the referee to call for the bell.
WINNER: Austin Scott, via Disqualification
The crowd boos loudly as The Ultimates begin to work over Austin Scott, refusing to accept a loss. Those boos shift to unanimous cheers as "In The Dark" by DEV hits the BlazenTron and International Champion Kristy Jackson rushes the ring! She chases off Hardcore Mike and Stone as Austin struggles to compose himself, still reeling from the loss of blood and a heinous attack.
Nick Webb: It's Kristy Jackson! The International Champion has seen enough, Rayne!
Rayne: I guess somebody had to - HEY!
Although The Ultimates had been chased from ringside, Austin Scott was still unaware; his eyes blinded by the blood pouring down his face. Staggering, he turns around and, sensing a body, lifts up Kristy Jackson by accident, dropping her with a huge spinebuster! He staggers back onto the ropes, wiping his eyes, and as he realizes what just happened, his eyes go wide. He returns to her side and kneels down, likely apologizing as officials come to the ring to check on the both of them.
Nick Webb: That's unfortunate. Kristy looks like she got dropped on her head pretty hard there.
Rayne: Think she's rethinking the assistance now?
Nick Webb: While certainly not intentional on Austin's part, I'd say yes... she's very likely regretting coming out here. Not that I can blame her.
Fraternity
Spyke Gein is the master of the Roundhouse Kick. He made himself a trophy and everything. In the past he has shown that 'The Norris' is THE K.O. move in the wrestling industry. Backstage he is currently launching kicks at a practice pad tied around a support beam.
Johnny Maverick: Hey little bro, how's it going?
Johnny is in his ring gear getting a good stretch in.
Spyke Gein: It's about to be a whole hell of a lot better.
Spyke kicks once more and the noise is so loud Johnny actually flinches.
Johnny Maverick: Well I just wanted to wish you good luck out there tonight, but...
Spyke Gein: But?
Johnny Maverick: Well, maybe you shouldn't make this personal.
Spyke Gein: She stole my title, Johnny. Actively. She played an active role in stealing those belts from Allen and I. All bets are off.
Johnny Maverick: What Emily did was shitty, I agree but man... Destiny was taking an opportunity that anyone trying to get those belts would have taken.
Spyke Gein: Johhny, we both know that if you weren't dating this girl that you would be here to encourage me to destroy her but as Emily Corlen has helped show the world in the past, relationships make you kind of an idiot.
Johnny ignores the insult from his younger brother.
Johnny Maverick: Just...
Spyke Gein: Your girlfriend seems nice, Johnny but I'm sorry. I'm going to have to kick her head clean off of her shoulders. She didn't EARN that title she's carrying around... but she's earned one hell of a beating.
There is a moment of silence.
Spyke Gein: Hey man, you've got other shit to worry about. Speaking of injustices, remember how your last BWF run ended? Emily Corlen doing two of her lady friends a favor by having them mug you on national television? Sound familiar? You have a little bit of vengeance to pound out of Zoe Cooper's skull as well. Get in there and get your revenge, man.
Johnny Maverick: It's now about vengeance, Spyke. I may get a little silly sometimes but I'm a professional. My Revolution will be tempered in victory, not vengeance. I'm trying to show people a better way. By all means, get your win... but you're not going to accomplish anything by making this personal.
Johnny pats his younger brother on the shoulder then walks away. Spyke seems to think for a moment before he goes back to kicking the pad.
Before the match begins, Scott Benjamin announces that both Allen Chaney and Alison James have been banned from ringside, meaning both of these competitors will have to go it alone. The bell rings and both Destiny and Spyke lock up. Spyke gets the upper hand and gets Destiny in an early headlock, but Destiny leans back and pushes Spyke to the ropes. The former Tag Team Champion rebounds from the ropes and gets caught with a big spinebuster from the younger sister of industry legend Jacob Figgins as the crowd cheers on.
Nick Webb: The fans like both Destiny and Spyke, but they seem to be backing the lovely young Destiny here for the most part.
Rayne: They have no taste.
Nick Webb: I think it's likelier the fans are disappointed in the conduct of The Rejects following their title loss at Happenstance via social media. They're probably not thrilled by Spyke's comments toward Destiny earlier tonight, either.
Back in the ring, Destiny is wailing away on Spyke with lefts and rights, but Spyke pushes her off with authority as both competitors roll to their feet. Spyke catches Destiny with a Russian leg sweep before she can react, followed up with a standing moonsault into the first cover of the match, which gets Spyke a low two count.
Rayne: First cover of the match, impressive acrobatic skills from Spyke Gein, but it's only a two count.
Spyke stands up and measures Destiny, waiting for her to get up. As she reaches a knee, Spyke drops her with a DDT to a smattering of boos from the crowd. He brushes them off as he pulls Destiny to her knees himself and aims a lightning fast kick at the side of her skull, but Destiny is able to dodge it, rolling behind Spyke and jumping up, hitting him with a zig-zag! She quickly ambles over to the ropes and climbs to the top, then jumps off with a shooting star press into the cover - but it only gets two before Spyke kicks out!
Nick Webb: What a move! Destiny hits a picture perfect shooting star press, but Spyke Gein still kicks out! Wow!
Destiny kips up to her feet and moves to the ropes, ready to pounce as Spyke slowly wills himself to his feet. He doesn't see Destiny coming as she leaps up, twists her body and catches the green-haired superstar with the Destiny Hammer (Corkscrew Scissor Kick)! The crowd pops loudly as Destiny drops down into the cover... 1... 2... 3!
WINNER: Destiny Figgins, via Pinfall
"Path Vol. II" by Apocalyptica feat. Sandra Nasic echoes across the arena as Destiny stands up and the referee hands Des her BWF Tag Team Title. She heads to the ropes and poses, holding the title up for the cheering fans. After doing this at every corner, she hops down and turns back toward the ring, only to get caught between the eyes by The Norris (High-Impact Roundhouse Kick to the Head; Instant KO)! The crowd boos loudly as Destiny slumps over while Spyke just smiles. He leans down and picks up her Tag Title, then holds it in the air as the crowd boos louder.
Nick Webb: That's hardly conduct becoming of a former Champion. Shame on you, Spyke! The Rejects are nothing but sore losers!
Rayne: You're wrong, Nick... they're simply making a statement. The Justicars of Illium becoming the Tag Team Champions at Happenstance was a mistake, and soon, The Rejects will correct that mistake, and you can bet on that.
The Summer of Adams
We go to the backstage area where AJ Adams is standing by in front of the Havok backdrop, camera placed in front of him. His hands are cupped together as he rubs the palms with a smile on his face.
AJ Adams: I failed to capture the crown at Happenstance but that doesn’t mean all is lost. Zoe Cooper was one Hell of an opponent that night and went on to show why she’s one of the best in the business today. I didn’t obtain my goal but that doesn’t mean my story is done. The Happenstance chapter ended and now it’s time to turn the page onto the next. The title? Summer of Adams.
He grins as he adjusts the camera a bit.
AJ Adams: We’re just a few short weeks into the summer season and right now you’d think we’re gearing up to watch Scorpio or Zoe Cooper be the top dog as we go through it. Wreckless is four weeks away, after that we’ll see Retribution. That’ll start to wrap up the summer season and by then everyone will be talking about how I am once again standing on the top of the ladder. I don’t have to be carrying the BWF Title to be the best or the fan favorite but it also won’t hurt when I once again carry the gold. Zoe may have the shot all lined up for Wreckless but the prize will soon enough be mine.
He adjusts one of his elbow pads.
AJ Adams: As far as tonight goes, I’m teaming up with our "Working Class" Champion to take on Casey Campbell and Liz Davis. We all know my feelings towards my opponents and how little I care for either. As far as our new champion, well, I’ll hold my tongue just this one time. There will be a time where I have some words for him but I’ll play nice since Emily decided it be a good idea to force us to team up. Scorpio, just make sure you listen to who the fans cheer for more. Hopefully you’ll be prepared for when it’s me. Calgary? Let’s do it.
The fans cheer loudly as Adams puts his hand over the lens before walking away.
The bell tolls as both Omen IV and Akemi come flying out of their corners at each other, the defending champion, Akemi, quickly gets the upper hand on Omen as she locks him into a side headlock, the pulls him just to the right then rushes for the turnbuckle, Omen slips out of the headlock though and pushes Akemi into the turnbuckle, Akemi has a split second before she smashes with the turnbuckle and makes use of it by leaping up to the top rope! She then leaps off and quickly pulls Omen into a Tornado DDT! Akemi goes for a pin, but as it's a ladder match, there are no pins needed, she shakes her head and smacks it a little then slips out from under the bottom rope.
Nick Webb: I think Akemi momentarily forgot what kind of match this was!
Omen gets up to his feet as Akemi slips a ladder bottom first into the ring, Omen seizes the oppertunity and runs at the ropes, bounces off, and baseball slide kicks the ladder right into Akemi's face! Akemi goes down hard and Omen pulls the ladder up and sets it up. Omen checks over his opponent to make sure she's out and makes his way up the ladder, he's half way to the top before Akemi slides under the bottom rope, slips between Omen and the Ladder and pulls him down into a rough sitting power-bomb!
Rayne: Ooh! That'll rattle the ol' Mexican jumping beans!
Nick Webb: Oh, lord.
Akemi quickly gets back up to her feet and begins to crawl up the ladder, Omen however shakes off the effects of the power bomb and just as Akemi is at the same height up the ladder as Omen was, Omen springboards off the top rope and cracks Akemi's head off the ladder with a hard Enziguri! Akemi slumps down the ladder and falls over along with it, the ladder now hanging off the top rope with Akemi under it. Omen wastes no time and pulls Akemi by the leg out from under the ladder and pulls her into a Suplex, he holds her in the air for quite some time before he brings her down hard on the ladder, busting it in half!
Nick Webb: Oh my God! Akemi Hayashi might be broken in half!
Akemi lets out a piercing yelp of pain as Omen IV shows no remorse and rushes for the top turnbuckle, with Akemi sprawled out on the ladder, Omen leaps from the top rope and tries for a huge leg-drop! But just as he is about to come down and guillotine Akemi's head clean off, she shifts out of the way and pushes the ladder directly underneath Omen smashes into the busted ladder and lets out an even more grotesque howl of pain than Akemi did.
Rayne: These two aren't leaving anything out there! This match might become a stretcher match before we're all said and done!
Akemi rolls out of the ring again and tosses another ladder in, this time making sure not to be right in its way if it came flying at her, she slips underneath the rope again and sets up the ladder, she looks over to Omen who is just stirring and begins to make her climb up the to the title. Omen sees the ladder set up and begins to pull himself up to the ladder once again, the two make it to the top eventually but as Akemi is about to pull the title down, Omen socks her one right in the gut, Akemi keels over just a bit but not enough to fall off the ladder, Omen reaches for the title but Akemi pushes his hand away and with her other hand grabs Omen's mask by the mouth piece and shifts it enough so he can't see! Akemi reels back a bit and delivers a huge head butt to the blinded Omen who slips off the ladder and lands hard on the mat below! Akemi reaches up to the top and snatches the Chaos Theory title from the hanger!
WINNER AND STILL BWF CHAOS THEORY CHAMPION: Akemi Hayashi
“Collapse Generation” By Arcturus hits the Blazentron as Akemi holds the title high over her head, still at the top of the ladder, a huge smile on her face after her first successful defense, though it doesn't last long when from out of nowhere Mick Horroflick comes up litterally through the ring mat and grabs a hold of one of the legs off the ladder and pushes it off! The ladder falls over and Akemi leaps off with it, lands safely on her face but as she turns around comes face to face with Mick! She attempts to scramble out of the ring but Mick grabs her by her hair and pulls her back in grabbing her by the throat and dropping her with a hard Witching Hour! (Chokeslam driver) Omen, now back on his feet sees Mick and rushes at him, but Mick grabs the ladder and chucks it at him, Omen catches it just barely but Mick drives the ladder home with a hard Big Boot! Both contenders down and Mick the only one standing, he lets out a sick laugh and slips out of the ring, he reaches under the apron and begins to toss in weapons of every kind, chairs, garbage cans, kendo sticks, he even pulled out a box of fluorescent light tubes!
Nick Webb: Oh, what the hell is this?
Rayne: The former Chaos Theory Champion has a bone to pick with both Omen and Akemi!
Nick Webb: That, or he's just a sick individual.
Rayne: Can't it be both?
Mick slipped back into the ring and began to pull tubes out of the box he held one in his hand like a Kendo stick and turned his attention to Akemi who was pulling herself up by the turnbuckle, he readies the light tube and takes a few practice swings like a baseball bat, and as soon as Akemi turns around; CRACK! The light tube smashes across her face in a flurry of glass and bad shit you shouldn't inhale. Mick drops the busted tube and grabs another one, this time he aims for Omen, already up on his feet Mick raises the tube over his head and brings it down in another loud SMASH! Omen slumps back down into the turnbuckle and Mick chucks the solid broken bit away.
Nick Webb: Somebody needs to get out there and stop this!
Mick, still not done with his destruction, grabs a chair and shoves it into the turnbuckle where Omen was slumped over, he then grabs Akemi, again by her hair, and picks her up, he then spins her around and slams her into the chair, and achieves a two hit combo when the chair smacks into Omen's bloody face.
Rayne: Two for one special for "Sick" Mick! HA!
Mick looks over his destruction and gives out another laugh before he wanders out of the ring, he walks backwards up the ramp, possibly, under that mask, smiling wider than Akemi was earlier. Though more than likely a sick twisted version of it.
Nick Webb: This is absolutely disgusting.
Rayne: I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that Mick wants a rematch for the title.
Nick Webb: You think?
#CorruptCorlen
"Goin' Down" by The Pretty Reckless queues up in the arena as the fans begin to boo the arrival of Alli Taylor. She steps onto the stage holding a picket sign saying #CorruptCorlen.Taylor starts to make her way down the ramp as she holds the sign high.
Nick Webb: Well, if there was any question if Alli Taylor was upset over the ending of her match to Happenstance, there's your answer.
Rayne: A case could be made that Emily Corlen shouldn't have involved herself into the match.
Nick Webb: One could also argue that had Alli done what she was planning, she could have been DQ'ed anyway.
Alli has made her way into the ring and is handed a microphone.
Alli Taylor: Two weeks ago at Happenstance, I was screwed out of my chance to become the Happenstance Queen. This wasn't because of a referee missing something or because of an opponent cheating, no. It was because of Emily Corlen. Emily involved herself into my match and helped Zoe Cooper win the Happenstance crown.
The fans pop at the mention of Zoe Cooper as Alli scowls at them all.
Alli Taylor: This isn't the first time that Emily has shown favoritism towards Zoe. In fact, some of you might remember the night Vespertine called her out on it and was then promptly fired. I'm a little smarter than Vesp... okay, a lot, and that's why I won't be fired. Because if I was, Emily knows the lawyer power I have. It took down Wade Mason back in TGW to gain total control and he's loaded. I'm going to fight the fight and keep demanding that Emily Corlen strips Zoe Cooper of the crown and turns it over to me.
A roar of boos from the fans fill the arena at that idea.
Alli Taylor: Zoe Cooper does not deserve to be the Happenstance Queen. She does not deserve to main event Wreckless. She might think that this is over just because she "won" but it's far from over. I am going to be a thorn in her side for a long, long time. I promise you that there is no chance that Zoe wins at Wreckless. From now on, every major chance she gets, I will make sure that it fails.
She turns towards the nearest camera and moves the sign towards it.
Alli Taylor: Emily Corlen walks around this company unchecked. She has all the power and no one to stop her from throwing her weight around. I am going to destroy your cash cow, Emily. I will end Zoe Cooper before this is all said and done. Zoe Cooper is to your BWF as to what Gabe Shelley was for Dave's BWF. The fans eat up anything they spew from their mouths and it generates you dollars. You can try to protect her all you want, but I will -
The microphone gets cut off as Alli starts to scream at Scott Benjamin. She throws it into the crowd and stands on the second turnbuckle and holds the sign high.
Nick Webb: We'll, uh, be back after this commercial, folks.
Rayne: FIGHT THE POWER!
The bell rings as both competitors begin to circle each other before locking up in the middle of the ring. Zoe gains the upper hand and backs Johnny into the corner, but the referee forces her to break her hold. As she backs up, Johnny leaps forward, grabbing her and tossing her into the corner instead before letting the lefts and rights fly to the chagrin of the ref! He steps back as Zoe staggers out of the corner and lifts her up, laying her out with the Maverick Special (Two Rolling German Suplexes, followed by a Bridging Dragon Suplex) before going for the cover. Zoe kicks out after just two.
Nick Webb: Nice moves from the veteran Johnny Maverick, but the 2014 Happenstance Queen isn't going to go down quite so easily.
Johnny, realizing he has a rare advantage over Zoe, keeps up the pace as he hops to his feet and starts delivering a series of kicks to the Sovereign Champion. As she staggers to her feet, Johnny runs to the ropes and comes back with a clothesline, but Zoe jumps up, catching the Sadistic Sex Symbol with a dropkick that stuns the former World Champion! He rolls to his feet, only to be caught by a second dropkick from Zoe that sends Johnny rolling into the nearest corner. He pulls himself up and charges at Zoe, aiming a Tony Jaa (Muay Thai Jumping Knee Strike to the Opponent's Face or Throat), but Zoe rolls out of the way and catches Johnny as he turns around with the Revolutions Per Minute (Rolling Dodge into a Spear)! Zoe covers, but Johnny kicks out after two.
Rayne: Cooper catches Maverick dead center with that spear, but J-Mav is still in this thing. Say, isn't this about the time Emily comes out to help Zoe win?
Nick Webb: Oh, stop. You and I both know Zoe is perfectly capable of winning matches on her own.
Zoe stands up and moves over to Johnny, but before she can do anything, Johnny reaches up and pulls her down into a modified version of his Perfecter Armbar! The Maverick fans in the crowd pop as Johnny struggles to cinch in the hold, but Zoe keeps fighting, refusing to let him lock it in. Finally, she shifts her weight just enough roll Johnny into a modified version of her own Z-Clamp submission, to which the Cooper fans cheer loudly. Johnny thinks fast, though, and is near enough to the ropes to get his leg onto the bottom rope, forcing the referee to break the submission. Zoe stands up, holding her arm, as Johnny does the same, holding his neck. He charges at Zoe, aiming another Tony Jaa, but again, Zoe dodges under it, running to the ropes. Johnny comes back from the ropes on the other side of the ring and as they collide in the center, Zoe jumps up and hits Johnny with The Face Replacer (Running Bryan-Style Knee)! A loud pop is heard as Zoe covers Johnny... 1... 2... 3!
WINNER: Zoe Cooper, via Pinfall
"Happy" by Pharrell Williams starts playing in the arena as Zoe stands up, grinning happily. The referee raises her arm as she takes a victory lap, posing for the fans.
Nick Webb: And as we move closer to Wreckless on July 28, the #1 Contender for the BWF World Championship remains undefeated with a huge win over a game Johnny Maverick.
Rayne: I gotta give credit where it's due, Nick. That was a hell of a match and a hell of a win for Zoe. It was nice to see her able to win a match without the C.E.O. holding her hand.
The music stops as Johnny stands up and comes face to face with the Happenstance Queen in the center of the ring. She eyes him warily as Johnny says a few inaudible things to her; Zoe responds, equally inaudibly. Finally, Johnny extends a hand and Zoe shakes it to a nice pop from the fans in attendance.
Nick Webb: And that's the difference between Johnny and his brother. That's sportsmanship. That's respect.
Rayne: I think I would have preferred to see a cheap shot. Those are funnier.
The First Lady Speaks
We’re backstage where Toshi Yang is standing in the interview area, looking at the camera.
Toshi Yang: I’m hoping to get a word with the former BWF World Champion on her way to the ring... in fact, here she comes now, Liz? Elizabeth?
The camera turns to indeed see Elizabeth Davis and Katrina walking down the hall, Liz just completely ignores Toshi as she walks towards her, then by her. Toshi rushes to catch up, nodding her head for the cameraman to follow her.
Toshi Yang: Elizabeth, if I could just get a word…
Davis’ hand shoots out and shoves Toshi down on the ground as she walks by, with this angle we can see that Katrina is rushing to keep up with Liz as she makes a beeline for the ring, the camera coming back to Toshi who is struggling to get to her feet.
Toshi Yang: Well, I guess she doesn’t want an interview just now…
Nick Webb: Well that was sort of rude.
Rayne: Rude? You don’t interrupt the First Lady for your silly little questions when she has a Main Event coming up!
Nick Webb: That’s right folks, up next is our Main Event as Liz teams with Casey Campbell to face the team of AJ Adams, the man who made it to the semi-finals of the Happenstance Tournament and his partner, the brand new BWF World Champion, Scorpio!
We fade out to commercials where we’re told to purchase various things as well as getting an advertisement for the next PPV offering from the BWF, Wreckless.
Coming Soon on Pay-Per-View

The First Lady Speaks, Cont.
We come back from commercial to hear the end of Karmin's "Acapella" playing in the background with Katrina Evans standing in the ring, Elizabeth holding a microphone in her hand.
Elizabeth Davis: Two weeks ago, I was involved in the biggest match of my career, and I’m sure each and every one of you revel in the fact that I lost my championship to that common man, Scorpio. I mean seriously, all he needs are polka dots and an African American Emily Corlen following him around and he’d complete the look. But everyone has setbacks in their life, my career here in the BWF has been setback after setback, and no one in this company is more resilient than I am, I will be back on top. Thank you to all of my fans who sent me cards, letters and tweets alike to make sure I was handling things, but let me go on record here now and say that I don’t need pity. I don’t need encouragement and to one particular creep named Chris, I definitely don’t need your hotel key for a "pick-me-up".
Liz shutters as she finishes that last line.
Elizabeth Davis: However, as I was watching Happenstance back over, there was one thing that really got to me above all else. It wasn’t the fact that Matt could have broken up the pin that eliminated me, it certainly isn’t the fact that he’s now gone from this company, that’s just one less shark nipping at my heels, it’s the comments made by one man, and he’s here tonight.
Davis turns around to the commentary booth, glaring a whole at Nick Webb.
Rayne: Oh, you’re in for it now Nick!
Elizabeth Davis: Nick Webb, the so called voice of reason out here week in and week out said that come Wreckless, Scorpio will be defending his title against Zoe Cooper. I don’t know who told you to say that, because at the end of the day you’re nothing but a parrot but if you actually believe that the main event of Wreckless will be Scorpio and Zoe, you’re even less intelligent than I thought you were. In fact, I would wager that Katrina here would beat you at chess in that case. In this business, Nick, we have a little thing called a rematch clause. I looked over my contract and it’s there, plain as day and whether that rematch happens between now and Wreckless or it happens at the event itself, it won’t be Scorpio representing this company as its World Champion, it’s going to be me.
Liz turns away from the commentary team to look directly at the camera now, continuing her speech.
Elizabeth Davis: But why wait until Wreckless, right everyone? You all want to see more of your little Happenstance Queen, don’t you? Yeah, cheer, give it up for Zoe Cooper! Granted, she wouldn’t be half as relevant if Corlen hadn’t handed her the crowd, but I’ve been feeling like Emily is living vicariously through Zoe for some time now, this just proved it. Months ago I had a one on one match with Zoe Cooper cancelled after I sustained a knee injury that kept me off television for over a month. Zoe, the kind, sweet thing that she is, accused me of faking an injury just to avoid facing her. I would have brought this up earlier, of course, but almost instantly after my return, I leaped over her and quite frankly, she hasn’t been on my radar since. Now that I have some... ahem, free time on my hands, I figure now is as good a time as any to introduce Miss. Cooper to a dose of reality. I would have won the Happenstance tournament if I wasn’t already above it at the time, and to show that, I’m officially challenging Zoe to a match next week. I’ll make it easier for her to accept, as well, I don’t even want that championship she has, I have bigger plans than the Sovereign title, I just want a one on one match to prove to all of you, to her, and yes, even to myself that I am the most dominate woman in this company. So barring one half of “Scooper” proving to be yellow like her dyed hair, you’ll all see exactly how good your hero is. Now send that 300 pounds of dead weight out here so I can carry him to yet another win.
Liz tosses the microphone behind her, Katrina clumsily catching it and leaving the ring with it as Elizabeth warms up in the ring.
Rayne: Did you hear that? Elizabeth throws down the gauntlet and burns Nick here in the process!
Nick Webb: I am not a parrot, and the rules of Happenstance clearly state the winner receives the next BWF World Title Match.
Rayne: Polly wanna cracker? HA!
The match kicks off with Scorpio and Casey Campbell in the ring first, Casey goes for a lock-up but Scorpio slips out of it however and slips behind Casey and goes for a lock up from behind, Casey powers out of it and flips Scorpio around and locks up with him from the front again and lifts Scorpio up for a quick suplex! Scorpio gets up to his feet rather quickly and turns to his partner AJ for a tag but Casey catches Scorpio from behind with time with a belly to back suplex! Casey hooks Scorpio's leg for the pin but only picks up about a one and a half.
Nick Webb: Casey goes for the win there, but the new BWF World Champion is still very much in the match.
Rayne: I have to think a win over the new Champ would go a long way in getting Casey another title shot after Wreckless, whether I want to see it or not.
Casey pulls Scorpio over to Davis and looks her dead in the eye with a sly smile, the camera microphones pick up “I'm gonna do what you couldn't!” He yells at her and laughs but with his back turned Scorpio quickly scoops Casey up into a school boy pin! The ref a little slow on the count only manages to call out a two as Casey kicks out. Scorpio moves quickly back to his corner as AJ tags himself back in.
Nick Webb: The tension between Casey and Liz can be cut with a knife, but his boasting nearly cost his team the match there.
AJ springboards off the top rope and catches the rising Casey with a flying clothesline! AJ – fired up after happenstance, begins to wail on Casey Campbell with a multitude of kicks and knees! The crowd roaring as each kick connects! Then a long “Whoooooaaaaa-YES!” as AJ winds up for his last kick and delivers a swing round-house that connects with Casey's temple! Casey goes down and AJ hooks the leg, but before the ref could even count, Davis rushes in and breaks up the pin for her team.
Rayne: Yes! The First Lady saves the day! Bow down, Campbell! Bow down and WORSHIP!
Elizabeth is pushed back to her corner by the ref but AJ follows through with much more and clotheslines her over the top-rope and to the bottom mat below! AJ brushes his hands clean and turns around to face Casey when suddenly PWNED! Out of nowhere Casey connects with a devastating spear and hooks his leg! Casey merely picks up a two count though when Scorpio rushes in this time to break up the pin. Casey turns to Scorpio and the two begin to duke it out, but the ref has to get between the two to break it up, Casey red in the face as he taunts on Scorpio, but the Working Class Champ backs up to his corner as the ref begins to count.
Nick Webb: The ref needs to be careful, this one could break down very quick if he's not.
Casey turns back to AJ and sees him picking himself up against the ropes, Casey moves in for the kill and spins AJ around but this time its Adam's with the sudden move when pulls a Last Call (Code breaker) from out of nowhere! Casey Campbell's jaw is rocked on Adams knees but just as Casey falls backwards, Elizabeth Davis' hand just barely connects with a tag as she leaps over the top rope and rushes Adams, AJ quickly moves back to the corner and this time Scorpio tags himself in and the two resume their match from Happenstance, Elizabeth throws caution to the wind and grabs Scorpio's arm, she goes to Irish whip the new champ but Scorpio reverses it and pulls her into a side headlock.
Rayne: Liz counters like a pro - or rather, like the rightful BWF World Champion!
Scorpio lets out a cry for war as he rushes the ring ropes and bounces off, flipping Elizabeth Davis back and hits her hard with a Shiranui (otherwise known as the Sliced Bread #2) Elizabeth hits the ground hard as Scorpio flips back, he hops up to his feet and crouches down, stalking Davis like a predator. Elizabeth picks herself up, Scorpio follows suit, he gets up to his feet just as slowly, finally once Davis is up Scorpio reels back and goes for his Ozuwara Kick (Superkick) but Davis ducks out of it and as Scorpio follows through Davis winds up and clocks Scorpio with her Clock Strikes Midnight! (Trouble in Paradise)
Nick Webb: Clock Strikes Midnight on the Champion! This one's gotta be over!
Scorpio hits the mat and Elizabeth goes to cover him, but AJ breaks up the pin again and as the ref is about to cuss him out, Casey Campbell rushes in from the outside and a brawl breaks out between the two in the middle of the ring, Casey gains the upper hand as he gets AJ on the ropes, delivering body blow after body blow, finally Casey looks to his hand (ala The Rock style) and goes to deliver the final blow but AJ shifts just out of the way and begins to deliver more and more kicks to Casey's gut, Casey keels over and AJ connects with his EAT IT! (fame-asser)
Rayne: Eat It on Casey Campbell! This one's gotta be - AHAHAHAHAHA, sorry, I couldn't say it with a straight face!
Elizabeth manages to take control of the situation while the other stars of the match attention is turned, she picks Scorpio up and shoves him into the nearest turnbuckle, she looks over again at the brawl on the other side of the ring and then back at Scorpio, she rushes the ring ropes and springboards off trying to hit another Clock Strikes Midnight, but Scorpio slumps under the kick and poor Davis gets caught up on the ring ropes!
Nick Webb: Scorpio dodges a second Clock Strikes Midnight! The former Champ is tied up in the ropes!
Scorpio gets up to his feet and just as Elizabeth is about to slide off the top rope and hit the mat, Scorpio leaps up and grabs her, bringing her down with a hard Dreamwave! (modified – Jumping Cutter) almost immediately as AJ hit his Eat It! Scorpio goes for the pin one more time but AJ rushes over and pulls Scorpio off, the ref still unsure of what was going on dropped for the count anyway as AJ hooked both of Davis's legs and picks up the three count!
WINNERS: Scorpio & AJ Adams, via Pinfall
The half the crowd Boos AJ Adams while the other half cheers for him, AJ Adams with a huge grin on his face goes up to the top rope for a victory pose. The ref hands Scorpio his title and raises his hand high, but Scorpio's gaze is still fixed on AJ Adams. AJ hops down from the top rope and turns right into Scorpio, a mean look on his face... though his hand extends. AJ looks around a bit and chuckles a bit before his hand extends as well, but before they could meet, Scorpio drops his title and hits AJ Adams with the Dreamwave! The Working Class Crowd gives a huge pop as AJ hits the mat, Scorpio gets up to his feet and as he turns to pick up his title Casey PWNS Scorpio with another huge spear! The fans are going nuts even as "The Look" by Roxette hits the BlazenTron and the C.E.O. makes her first appearance of the evening, mic in hand. The music cuts out as she speaks.
Emily Corlen: ENOUGH! All of you! Alright... it's obvious that all four of you have issues with one another. Now, I can't give any of you a title shot right now - not even you, Lizzie, despite what your contract says - until Cooper's gotten the one she earned in Baltimore. What I can do, however... is make a match for Wreckless.
A sly grin spreads across Emily's face as the wrestlers in the ring come to.
Emily Corlen: Scorpio, you will defend that BWF World Title against Zoe Cooper on July 28. That match hasn't changed. As for the rest of you? You're all going to be placed into a #1 Contender's Match for the BWF World Title at Wreckless.
The crowd cheers.
Nick Webb: Casey vs. Liz vs. AJ at Wreckless for a future BWF World Title shot! It's a rematch from the main event of Danger Zone!
Emily Corlen: Oh, don't worry, I wasn't done yet. Casey Campbell. Elizabeth Davis. AJ Adams. How about... Johnny Maverick, too, he's been on a hell of a roll and had a great match against Cooper earlier tonight... and hmm. Toco, because he lost his International Title shot a month or so ago, hopefully this'll make up for it.
Rayne: Johnny and Toco, too? A five way for #1 Contendership? Not bad!
The fans cheering, Emily turns to walk back through the curtain, but spins on her heel and turns back to the ring.
Emily Corlen: Oh, and uh, one final thing.
She pauses a moment, anticipating the reaction she's about to get.
Emily Corlen: .......you're all HELLBOUND.
With that, the crowd erupts with a massive pop that shakes the rafters. In the ring, the wrestlers share responses from shocked (Liz) to excited (Adams, the Eighth Conqueror of Hellbound) to slightly gassy (Casey). Scorpio, meanwhile, has gotten out of dodge and jumped the railings into the crowd, where he's watching with his title over his shoulder and his Working Class fans surrounding him.
Nick Webb: I DON'T BELIEVE IT! The NINTH Hellbound Match in the history of professional wrestling is coming to Wreckless!
Rayne: And it's for a future shot at the BWF World Championship! That is AWESOME! Elizabeth Davis is going to become the Ninth Conqueror of Hellbound! YES!
Nick Webb: It could just as easily be -
Rayne: I swear to Cthulhu, if you say anybody but my precious Lizzie is going to win Hellbound to Wreckless, I will end you.
Nick Webb: ...right, then. On that bombshell, ladies and gentlemen, it's time to end! For Rayne, I'm Nick Webb... good night from Calgary, Alberta! We'll see you next week on Havok!
We see one final shot of everybody's reactions to the big announcement, before Havok fades to the BWF logo, and then finally to black.
