Episode 173 - June 9, 2014
Nick Webb: We are live in the Sioux Falls Arena in beautiful Sioux Falls, South Dakota... this is BWF's flagship program, Monday Night Havok, and folks, we're just one week away from one of the biggest pay-per-view events of the calendar year, Happenstance!
Rayne: Tonight, we're going to learn who will join Alli Taylor and AJ Adams in the tournament Semifinals... plus, in the main event, Scorpio faces Matt Stone with BWF World Champion Elizabeth Davis as the Special Referee!
Nick Webb: If Scorpio wins, he gets added to the main event title match between Stone and Davis at Happenstance, but if Stone wins, Scorpio can't challenge for any more BWF championship titles for the rest of 2014! It's do or die for the Mission Hills Missionary tonight!
Scorpio, Like A Wizard, Is Never Late
The camera shifts backstage to the office of Emily Corlen, whom is sitting hunched over a bunch of papers, filling out whatever it is C.E.O.s of major wrestling companies usually fill out, though her attention is pulled away when a sharp rap at the door is heard.
Emily Corlen: Come in.
The door opens with a bit of a creak, then closes shut, the cameras pulled out just a bit.
Emily Corlen: Took you long enough. You know I wanted to see you BEFORE the show.
Emily stands up from her desk just as Scorpio, clad in usual white gear, walks into the shot. He pulls off his sunglasses and tosses them onto the desk, then takes a seat at Corlen's desk.
Scorpio: Well, you can blame the working class who held me up at the door. I suppose you'd hire better security at the back, but... well, none of us are perfect.
Emily Corlen: The "working class"?
Scorpio: Oh, you haven't heard? It seems my little speech about hard work last week really struck a chord with a few people. Have you heard they've been calling me the Mission Hill Missionary?
Emily sighs a bit as Scorpio just chuckles; of course, he seemed to be in a better mood than he had been the last two weeks.
Emily Corlen: Well, all of that doesn't matter, they can call you whatever. What I need to know is - tonight's situation. Is it to your liking? What I mean to say is... you can't have another outburst if you lose. I'm already in a lot of trouble with the censors because of your constant button pushing.
Scorpio's gaze narrows on Corlen.
Emily Corlen: I need an answer here, Scorpio. Are you happy, or -
Scorpio chuckles a little at the last bit; it turns into a bit of a laugh, which very rarely escaped him, especially one that was sincere.
Emily Corlen: Did I... miss the punchline to some joke the voices in your head told you?
Scorpio: No... no, you see, I just... am I happy? Corlen... I've never been happy. The voices in my head are happier than I am... no, I might have felt happy at one point... but it was always fleeting, and because I see the world for what it is... a giant ball filled with the apathetic wastes of our galaxy, only getting worse every day... is it any wonder why I've never stayed happy?
Scorpio stands up from his seat and begins to pace about the room.
Scorpio: I've never had a true purpose in life, Corlen. My entire life has been in pursuit of just that. Everything I do is to better myself. I cut loose every now and then, drink a little here, fight some there... but I've never stopped in my pursuit of my purpose. But you... you've helped set me on the right course tonight.
Scorpio stands at Emily Corlen's desk, his hands on either end of it, leaned over a little.
Scorpio: I can see it now, clear as day, what I think my purpose is. My purpose in life is to lead this company out of its apathetic slump, to drive the talent to their 110%. My purpose is to hoist the World Title high, and set the bar equally as high, so that when someone decides that they need to challenge me, it won't be someone whose motivation is as fleeting as my happiness - it'll be someone who truly and utterly deserves it.
A wide smile grows on Scorpio's face.
Scorpio: This company is cancer ridden. Many tumors lie within it... lifeless bodies of fat and tissue that do nothing but suck the power and money away from this company. Before I can realize my dream, I have to cut the tumors out... and tonight I start with Matt Stone, the worst of them all.
Scorpio backs up from the desk a little.
Scorpio: Maybe then, Emily... yes... I'll be happy.
Scorpio turns and leaves the office, leaving Emily there to puzzle just exactly what was said.
The bell rings and Caruso Love and Omen IV lock up, with Omen gaining the upper hand, putting Caruso in a half-nelson. He delivers hard knee thrusts to Caruso's ribcage and then slams him down with a half-nelson suplex. Caruso gets back up, but walks into a Fisherman's Suplex! Omen rolls over and mounts Caruso, going to hit a hard punch to his jaw but Caruso blocks it, tossing Omen over himself with a monkey flip! Omen lands on his feet and turns, right into a shoulder block by Caruso, followed by a second one! Omen gets up and swings at Caruso for a Lariat but Caruso counters into a T-Bone Suplex! The crowd gives a mixed reaction as Caruso lifts Omen up by his mask and tags in his partner, Jack "The Mack" Hammer. Caruso holds him in a piledriver position as Hammer climbs to the top rope and jumps off, hitting Omen with a tag team Spike Piledriver!
Nick Webb: Oh, my! They might have broken Omen's neck with that move!
Hammer hooks the leg, but Omen kicks out after two. Kristy claps for her partner as Hammer lifts him up and whips him across the ring, but Omen reverses it and sends Hammer running instead, catching him with a rough belly to belly suplex on the return! Hammer rolls to his knees just in time for Omen to catch him with a shining wizard! Instead of going for the cover, he tags in the International Champion, who hops into the ring and stalks Hammer as he pulls himself to his feet. She shoots the ropes in front of him and rebounds to nail him with the Final Assault (Superman Punch, with theatrics)! Hammer grabs his jaw in pain and falls to the mat. Kristy smirks and yells loudly, garnering a nice reaction from the Sioux Falls crowd. Kristy stalks Hammer and waits for him to rise to his feet before running at him and going for a hurricanrana - but Hammer counters, slamming her to the mat with a modified powerbomb! Kristy holds her back and groans in pain as she starts crawling on her hands and knees toward her corner.
Rayne: This match could go either way right now!
Kristy crawls to her corner, trying to tag in Omen, but Hammer refuses to let her tag in, grabbing her leg and pulling her back. She jumps to her feet, Jack still holding one, and hits an enziguri to Hammer's skull! She quickly hops over to her corner and tags in Omen before Caruso can hop into the ring and stop her. He tries to clothesline Omen, but the masked superstar ducks and Kristy pulls the top rope down, sending Caruso right over the top and to the floor! Hammer slowly rises to his feet, groggy from the kick to the head and Omen takes the opportunity, hitting him with his Springboard Backflip into an Inverted DDT! As the crowd is now solidly in the corner of Omen and Kristy, the masked star heads to the top, poses and soars off with his El Mal Presagio (450 Backflip Corkscrew to Senton), catching Hammer dead center! Caruso tries to get into the ring as Omen covers, but Kristy dives off the apron, knocking him down as the ref counts 1, 2, 3!
WINNERS: Omen IV & Kristy Jackson, via Pinfall
"Make 'Em Say Uhh!" by Master P hits the BlazenTron as Omen IV stands up, adjusting his mask before raising his arm in victory. Kristy joins him, lifting his other arm in the air and the two celebrate as the crowd cheers.
Nick Webb: What a win for Omen IV and Kristy Jackson! They made a hell of a team here tonight!
Rayne: With cohesiveness like that, it may only be a matter of time until we see them as the new BWF Tag Team Champions!
First Strike
As Havok returns from commercial, static is heard and a video comes into view. An exotic tall woman stands before an industrial backdrop of chain link fencing, cinder block, and chains in the background. She turns from her profile view and faces the camera, speaking freely adorned in leather pants and a tight leopard-print top, her hair blowing in the wind.
Ashby Lynn Daza: Ladies and gentlemen, it has been months... far too many, since Ashby Lynn Daza graced a wrestling ring. But now the training has been running full-tilt once again, the blood is pumping, the drive and desire is once again primed to BEYOND maximum levels. It is time to forge a new way for myself in this business… and I have chosen, out of countless promotions running from coast to coast and around the world... my new mark shall be made right here in the BWF... the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation.
She throws her arms out at the sides to emphasize her point.
Ashby Lynn Daza: Now, some of you might recognize me, but I will freely admit that many of you don’t... yet. But, as the weeks and months follow, you will know what I am all about. The fever, the mania will build... from the rafters, through the television screens, you will see that I am genuine and my aim is true! I have an insatiable need for competition. The thrill of the fight and the pride and self-worth of coming out on top, getting my arm raised and ascending the ladder, rung by damn rung. It seems that I will debut at Happenstance on June 16th and get thrown right into the fire, facing a true BWF Hall of Famer. Let me tell you right now, I am not scared a bit. Don’t take this as cocky arrogance, it is just truly assured confidence that I exude. I relish the opportunity. Bring me your best and let me be judged against them. And if I am fortunate enough to gain victory, then you will see that I am every bit as worthy as the upper echelon of the BWF.
She grits her teeth, baring them for the camera, and pounds a fist into her open palm.
Ashby Lynn Daza: Take a look at my face and experience the sheer fury of a kick or a punch from me, and you will know exactly why they call me… the Striking Beauty. On June 16th, take note and experience my First Strike in the BWF! Ashby Lynn Daza... has... arrived!!!
The bell rings and both wrestlers immediately hook up in the center of the ring. Toco gains the advantage with a series of stiff punches, followed up by a massive spinebuster. Toco takes a moment to pose to a mixed reaction - he likely didn't take into account how popular J-Mav is - and turns his attention back to Maverick, only to see the former Sovereign Champion standing at the ready! Before Toco can react, Johnny cracks him with the OF!MF! [Oh Fuck! My Face!] (A Running Shotei [Palm Strike to the Face]), taking the big man off his feet. He mounts Toco and begins laying into the Hall of Famer with punch after punch as the crowd cheers loudly.
Nick Webb: This hasn't been a good couple of weeks for Toco. First, he loses his opportunity at the International Title after being assaulted backstage, and now, he's become the punching bag for a frustrated Johnny Maverick, who returned to the BWF ring last week only to lose.
Rayne: To be fair... is there ever such a thing as a good week when you're Toco? I mean, maybe when Taco Bell debuts a new quesadilla or something.
After rattling Toco's brain, Johnny picks up the dazed Toco and goes behind, likely setting the big man up for the Maverick Special, but Toco regains enough composure to wriggle free and connect with an errant elbow to the bridge of Johnny's nose. As Johnny stumbles, Toco hooks his arms and starts laying into him with Trapped Headbutts. Perhaps out of desperation, Johnny goes limp, dropping to his knees, and quickly hoists Toco onto his shoulders, dropping him with a Fireman's Carry into an attempted Armbar. He can't quite cinch it in, though, as Toco is too close to the ropes and grabs them, forcing referee Jeff Stinson to break what little of the hold Johnny had in.
Nick Webb: We almost saw a variation of the Perfecter Armbar there, but Toco wouldn't have any of it.
Rayne: Which is rare, because Toco never says no to a serving of anything. HA!
The match continues, as both men hit a handful of big moves and garner several near-falls. After dropping Johnny with a powerbomb, Toco heads to the top rope and leaps off, going for a Frog Splash. He misses, though, when Johnny rolls out of the way, leaving Toco to smush himself into the canvas. This time, as Toco reels on the mat, Johnny wastes no time; he pulls the Hall of Famer up, hoists him into the air and drops him down hard with The Perfecter Armbar (Butterfly Suplex into Cross Armbar)! The crowd pops as Toco struggles to escape the hold, this time fully cinched in and in the center of the ring, but he cannot, and is forced to tap out a few seconds later.
WINNER: Johnny Maverick, via Submission
"D.C. Sound Attack!" by Clutch plays throughout the arena as Johnny breaks the armbar and rolls to his feet. His arm is raised by referee Stinson, and he can't help but smile even as he makes his way to the corner to celebrate the win.
Nick Webb: Ladies and gentlemen... Johnny Maverick is well and truly back.
Rayne: Certainly a dominant performance for the Sadistic Sex Symbol. Let's see if he can hold onto that momentum... or rather, let's see how long it takes him to screw the pooch again.
Nick Webb: I don't see you getting in there and fighting him.
Rayne: Of course not. BWF couldn't pay me enough to get into the ring with that madman.
Daza's Opponent Revealed
Havok returns from commercial and we join Don McMichael in the ring, looking rather excited.
Don McMichael: Ladies and gentlemen, as you saw earlier tonight, in one week at Happenstance, one of the hottest free agents today, Ashby Lynn Daza, will be making her BWF debut against a BWF Hall of Famer. What hadn't been announced was which Hall of Famer she would be facing. At this time, allow me to welcome back Ashby Lynn Daza's Happenstance opponent... she is a former two-time BWF World Champion, two-time BWF Tag Team Champion and one-time BWF International Champion... she is the Amazon Princess... she is KIRLIA GARDEVOIR!!!
"Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N' Roses starts playing and the crowd erupts as Kirlia Gardevoir steps onto the stage, flexing for the crowd. The music dies down as she reaches down and pulls a mic out of her boot.
Kirlia Gardevoir: Oh, that was kickass. I forgot how much I loved hearing you guys ROAR!
The crowd cheers louder.
Kirlia Gardevoir: When Em called me a few weeks back and asked me if I was interested in this match, there was only one answer - HELL yes. It's been too damn long since I've gotten the chance to step into this ring and entertain all of you, and I'm never one to turn down a chance to send my fans home happy. Last year at WrestleFest, my sister Starla and I walked into Houston and won a Tag Team Turmoil Match to gain a shot at Elena Simonova and Zoe Cooper's Tag Team Titles. We didn't win, but that's still a memory I'm going to carry with me for some time. Next Monday night at Happenstance, I don't know if I'll beat this Ashby Lynn Daza. What I can promise you is that win, lose or draw, we're going to put on a match you won't soon forget. As my former Bound by Blood stablemate would say... believe it.
Kirlia grins as "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N' Roses starts playing. She blows kisses to the crowd before heading back through the curtain, the fans no doubt excited for next week's match between Daza and Gardevoir.
The match doesn't even start as Mick Horrorflick is attacked before he could get in the ring. Mike Mox rushes him just as he gets up onto the Apron and spears him out onto the floor! Mike Mox begins to wail on Horrorflick with huge left and rights, he then turns to the ref and shouts at him “Ring the damn bell!” the ref calls for the 'I Quit' match to start as Mike turns back to his Opponent who socks him right in the mouth! Mike Mox flops over onto the floor next to Mick who sits up right his Chaos Theory title still strapped around his waist. He loosens it from the back, stands up and lays it on the ring apron, He turns back to Mike Mox and picks him up by his long hair and chucks him into the ring post!
Rayne: See, that's why I cut my hair a long time ago. It's a ring hazard.
Nick Webb: Sure, it had nothing to do with you going bald.
Rayne: WATCH IT.
Mox tumbles backwards and Mick catches him into a loose German Suplex, Mick basically picks Mox up and chucks him over his shoulder like a sack of Potatoes, however, Mick's sloppy suplex saves Mox, just barely, who back flips out of the throw and lands right on his feet like a cat! Mox is just as surprised but gains his composer quickly and spins around and hits Mick in the back of the head with an enziguri!
Nick Webb: Mike Mox has some life left in him yet!
Mick goes down and Mox wastes no time as he digs under the ring for a weapon to use before he comes out with a handful of light tubes! He takes one in his hand like a Kendo stick and raises it high above his head before he begins it down and shatters it on the back of Mick's head! Mick slumps back to the floor! Mox chucks the broken tube onto his pile of other lightbulbs and goes to pick Mick up, he struggles just a bit but manages to pick Mick up into a fireman's carry! Mox is about to pull off a Death Valley Driver! But just as he's about to flip him off, Mick slips off Mox's shoulders and grabs a handful of his hair in the process and slams Mox down onto the pile of tubes! Mox lets out a blood curdling scream, but not half as bad as what comes next.
Nick Webb: Oh, I don't like where this is going!
Rayne: Oh, I absolutely love where this is going!
Mick straddles Mox and grips Mox's head in his giant hands, his thumbs digging into his bloody eyes, Mick lets out a horrifying laugh as Mox screams at the top of his lungs, he barely lets out a hoarse “I QUIT” and Mick lets go, still laughing like a maniac.
WINNER AND STILL CHAOS THEORY CHAMPION: Mick Horrorflick
The ref calls for the bell as Mick Horrorflick stands up and grabs his Chaos Theory title before throwing his over his shoulder and walking towards the back.
Nick Webb: A commanding win for Mick Horrorflick, who is now the longest reigning Chaos Theory Champion. Can anybody stop this monster?
Rayne: I'd love to see you try.
Nick Webb: Just as soon as you get into the ring with Johnny, sure.
Working Class
“Dreamwave” by Vogel hits the BlazenTron and the crowd perks up as a mixture of boos and cheers fill the arena. The song plays for a few moments before Scorpio walks out to the stage, a microphone in hand. He makes his way down to the ring, but stops midway on the ramp; he looks over to a fan just out of camera shot and urges the cameras over. Said fan is busy waving a sign that has the phrase "Working Class" sprayed on it.
Scorpio: Whoa, whoa. Cut the music for just a second.
“Dreamwave” fades out as Scorpio walks over to the sign-wielding man.
Scorpio: Sir... sir, I notice your sign here. Could you please explain to the uneducated what exactly "Working Class" means to you?
The fan is a little stunned to be singled out; however, he quickly regains his composure and leans over the guard rail to speak to Scorpio.
Working Class Fan: To me, it means that if you work hard, you get what you deserve, and you've proved that time and again, Scorpio!
The fan then lets out a whooping yell as the rest of the 'Working Class' fans in the crowd explode with cheers, though most of the other fans boo heavily at the idea. Scorpio just nods, pulling off his sunglasses, and then hands them to the fan before continuing down to the ring.
Scorpio: He's right... and you all know it... but clearly some of you need a bit of a refresher. The past five months, I've worked harder than any of the so-called stars in the back, and I was given the shit end of the stick multiple times. Well, not anymore... because after tonight, when I tear Matt Stone's huge head from his tiny body and mount him to the front of my Trans-am, I will go onto Happenstance with the full force of the Working Class at my back, and I will take on the apathetic lazy talent who've managed to scrape by under the radar. AJ Adams, Zoe Cooper, Finn McConnaigh, Caspian Savage, Casey Campbell, Alli Taylor... it doesn't matter who, it doesn't even matter if it's our current, no good, so-called 'fighting champion'...
Scorpio pulls himself into the ring.
Scorpio: Speaking of, let's chat about Ms. Davis for a minute, shall we? I recognize your talents, sure. I watched you scrape and claw your way past Casey Campbell, beat him in a rematch, retain against AJ Adams... and yet... where you could've been a model to the masses, a face for the fans of BWF to rally behind... you stumbled... you let the power corrupt your mind, Elizabeth. You've gone from being the main character of an underdog story to the villain of the same story... and the only solution is to take the belt from you and make sure that your undeserving hands never rest upon it again. Only then, when the power is taken away, will you see how far its corruption spread... and only then will you understand that I did it for your own good.
Scorpio smiles brightly, though it still seems a bit cocky.
Scorpio: I'm sure you all saw the little bit earlier between Emily Corlen and I, and I truly believe what I said. My purpose is to bring this company to its very peak and keep it there, and if it's my burden to bear alone, then so be it. I'm the one who can take it.
Scorpio looks out to the crowd.
Scorpio: Because whether I'm jerkin' the curtain or closing the show... everyone comes to see...
He holds up the microphone as the Working Class fans (almost drowned out by the boos of the regular fans) finish his sentence with a mighty "SCORPIO!" Scorpio puts the microphone down in the middle of the ring and walks out as Havok fades to commercial.
With the sound of the bell, the two titans Finn McConnaigh and Caspian Savage lock up in the center of the ring, both men wanting to establish dominance with their power game. It’s Finn who seems to have the edge as he backs Caspian up towards the corner, the referee calling for the break. Finn raises his hands in the air, taking a step back for the clean break, which is when Caspian fires out of the corner with a stiff right hand, followed by a second. With a step back, Finn is able to counter the charging Caspian with a raise of his right foot, knocking The Jackal of Justice flat on his back. Caspian rolls out of the ring, holding his jaw looking back up at Finn.
Nick Webb: Finn showing off his strength early here, looking mighty impressive.
Rayne: Lifting your leg in the air isn’t that impressive, and it’ll take much more than that to win the Happenstance tournament!
Caspian slides back inside the ring, Finn getting ready for him. As Caspian approaches, Finn goes for a deep knee lift, catching Savage and doubling him over for Finn to pull him in and try for a powerbomb, but Caspian slides down his back and pushes him forward into the ropes, catching him on the rebound with a belly-to-back suplex with a bridge, finding a two count before Finn kicks out. Caspian rolls to his side, getting up and catching Finn with a few kicks before he can get to his feet. Caspian hits the ropes hard and rebounds back to Finn, dropping him with a flying shoulder tackle before he can fully vertical, allowing for Savage to go for another cover, securing a second two count.
Nick Webb: Caspian looking for covers here Rayne, he knows the best way of winning this type of match.
Rayne: That’s right, you want to be the Happenstance King, you need to go for the win every chance you have.
Savage lifts Finn up, which proves to be a mistake as Finn lifts the smaller man up and drives him straight own with a sidewalk slam. Finn lifts Caspian up, tossing him into the corner where he charges in with a big splash, driving his shoulder several times into his midsection, pulling him out and dropping with a hard clothesline, the crowd starting to get behind Finn. McConnaigh lifts Caspian back up, but has his eyes raked for his trouble, Savage quickly delivering The Dirty Deal (Discus Elbow Smash) to level Finn to the ground. The crowd starts cheering, drawing Caspian’s attention to the ramp where we see Johnny Maverick walking out on the stage. Caspian seems annoyed that Johnny is coming out, screaming at him. Maverick simply stands at the top, watching the action. Savage, electing to finish the match first, turns around - right into Finn’s right hand, which lifts him by the throat and drives him straight down with The Parting Glass (Chokeslam)! Finn goes for the cover and gets the 1 2 3!
WINNER: Finn McConnaigh, via Pinfall
"Goin' Postal" by Jim Johnston starts playing as Finn stands up and poses for the crowd, cheering him on loudly. Johnny smirks and walks back through the curtain.
Nick Webb: With a thunderous chokeslam, Finn McConnaigh moves on to the Semifinals of the Happenstance Tournament, where he will face Alli Taylor!
Rayne: Are you kidding me? With a chokeslam?! McConnaigh OWES his win to Johnny "Has NO Business Being Out Here" Maverick!
Nick Webb: He took his eye off the ball and his opponent capitalized. Them's the breaks in a tournament of this caliber.
Rayne: It's still bullshit. Caspian, I hope you get your hands on Johnny, and I hope you tear him apart when you do!
Shut Me Up
We come in backstage with Matt Stone standing in front of a camera, no one else around him. A man best known for doing interviews in these kind of spots has elected to just talk at the camera.
Matt Stone: Well here we are, the last Havok before Happenstance, the last Havok before I become the BWF World Champion and low and behold, one more chance for little miss petty to try and put a wrench in my plans. A match with Scorpio where he has everything on the line and I really don’t have much. Sure, I’d prefer a one on one match for the title, but I can win triple threat matches. I can win fatal four ways and Emily, I can win six person matches inside a giant metal structure if it means that I’ll become the Champion. So having said that, you would think I wouldn’t really have much motivation here tonight.
A pause.
Matt Stone: But you’d be wrong.
Another pause before Matt continues.
Matt Stone: You see, I’m somewhat of a negative person, a pessimist, if you will. I also enjoy bringing people into my work and surrounding them with misery, and that’s exactly what I get to do here with Scorpio. He doesn’t get another title match...of any kind, until next year if he loses this match? How is that not delicious to put upon a fellow competitor? A man who spent the beginning of this year claiming to become a double Champion, and now I have the power to ensure that won’t happen for at least seven months? Sign me up. So you might think that you’re doing me a disservice Emily, but far from it, you’re letting me do what I love. I hope Scorpio lives by his motto, because after this week he’ll only be jerking the curtain, as he put it.
Before Matt can finish his run down, he’s interrupted by the appearance of the BWF World Champion herself, Elizabeth Davis. Liz is already wearing her referee’s shirt complimented with a pair of booty shorts. She flips her hair back before speaking.
Elizabeth Davis: Well it’s great to hear you’re so confident this week. I’d hate to see you actually question yourself for once, I mean, things haven’t really been going your way since Danger Zone, have they? Given the stipulation of this match, I’ll be rooting for you. Just stay focused, okay?
Liz flashes a smile to Matt and walks passed him down the hall, the camera turning with Stone’s gaze to watch the First Lady walking away, exaggerating her walk just a bit to keep his attention that much longer. When the camera pans back to Matt, he snaps his head to refocus on his promo.
Matt Stone: Right... where was I? Scorpio, I’m going to strip you of the chance to enter my match, strip you of the chance to be a champion again this year and when it boils down to it, strip you of your dignity. I am Matt Stone Scorpio, and you will never shut me up!
Stone shows his teeth with a smirk before heading off camera as we cut back to ringside.
The bell sounds and Casey goes straight for Zoe’s leg, knowing that’s her weakness at the moment. As he goes low, Cooper leaps over Campbell and dropkicks him in the back right into the turnbuckle. Casey coming out of it, not seeing Zoe as she’s springboarding off the near ropes and grabbing Casey’s head, driving him straight down to the mat with a DDT. Before Zoe can go for a cover, Casey is already getting back to his feet, showing why he’s a former World Champion. Cooper hits the ropes and slides right between Casey’s legs, getting up and jumping on Campbell’s back with a sleeper hold, trying to wear the bigger man down. Casey staggers back a bit as he’s having the energy drained from him, but he’s able to back up quickly and trap Zoe in the corner, pressing her body against the padded steel, forcing her to release her hold.
Nick Webb: Zoe is off to a quick start, but I have a bad feeling about this now Rayne.
Rayne: Casey has her right where he wants her, this won’t be good.
Campbell turns around and starts hammering on Zoe’s face, the Sovereign champion covering up as best she can, but the blows take their toll, knocking the blond down on the mat. Casey hits the opposite ropes and comes back, driving his knee right into the side of Zoe’s skull! Casey pulls her out of the corner and goes for a cover, getting a two count. Not to be discouraged, Casey lifts Zoe up, from behind, and elevates her high in the air, dropping her straight down across his knee for an atomic drop, quickly spinning her around and wrapping his thick arms around her waist, lifting her up in the air for a bear hug. Campbell starts taking liberties with Zoe, throwing her around a bit like a rag doll in the bear hug before just giving up entirely and flipping her over with his Bear to Belly Suplex(Locking in a bear hug then when he weakens them he hits a Belly to Belly Suplex). Casey goes for another cover here, but once again only gets a two count.
Nick Webb: Zoe is staying in this, we know she can take some punishment and come back, she might be the most resilient star we have here.
Rayne: Resiliency is one thing, but with the pure power of Casey Campbell, he has to be the favorite from here.
Casey lifts Zoe back up to her feet, going to lock in a second bear hug, but Cooper flips right over Casey in a sunset flip, rolling the big man over for a two count! Casey jumps to his feet, annoyed and walks right into an inside cradle, also netting a two count from Zoe. Casey gets up first again, but is caught with a roundhouse kick from Zoe, knocking him silly. Casey swings wildly which Zoe rolls under, going for her Revolutions Per Minute (Rolling Dodge into a Spear), but Casey sidesteps it, calling for Cooper to turn around so he can teach her the true meaning of a spear, lunging for his PWNED!! but Zoe dodges, leaving Casey to hit the steel post in the corner! Cooper rolls him up as the referee gets down and counts the 1 2 3!
WINNER: Zoe Cooper, via Pinfall
"Happy" by Pharrell Williams hits the BlazenTron as Zoe quickly rolls out of the ring and leans against the barricade, all smiles. In the ring, Casey is back on his feet and cursing loudly as he kicks the ropes and yells at the ref. Zoe makes her way up the ramp, hardly able to believe her luck, as Casey continues to throw a fit in the ring.
Nick Webb: I don't believe it! The streak is alive! Zoe wins! She’s advancing to the Semifinals!
Rayne: She had the tights!
Nick Webb: Oh stop, she did not! Looks like our Semifinals are set; Finn McConnaigh vs. Alli Taylor and Zoe Cooper vs. AJ Adams. One of those four individuals will be leaving Happenstance next week as the 2014 Happenstance Monarch. I can't wait!

Liz calls for the bell and Stone and Scorpio lock up immediately, Scorpio going behind Stone and dropping him straight back with a reverse DDT, immediately locking in a rear chin lock. Liz gets down to ask Stone if he gives up and he spits at her before rolling out of the headlock,, catching Scorpio with a lunging clothesline to knock him down. Matt hits the ropes, brushing passed Liz as he does and flips for a senton, but Scorpio moves out of the way and quickly goes for a cover, Liz only getting a one count before Stone kicks out.
Nick Webb: Bit of a slow count there I think…
Rayne: It was not! This is a very stressful situation for Elizabeth, show some respect.
Scorpio didn’t find an issue with the count as he lifts Matt u, doubling him over with a series of knee lifts before hitting the ropes, coming back for a missile dropkick square on the top of Stone’s head. Scorpio hits the ropes again and drives his elbow into the side of Matt’s head, going for another cover, but only getting a one count again. Matt starts firing back right hands, Davis warning him about those as Matt locks up with the retreating Scorpio, spinning him out and to the mat with a neckbreaker, going for a cover of his own and getting a two count.
Nick Webb: Could that have been a fast count?
Rayne: Will you stop it!
Stone lifts Scorpio up, hitting him with forearms before locking his head, looking for the Stone Cutter, but Scorpio slides out and catches Matt in the jaw with his Ozuwara Kick (Superkick)! Stone hits the mat and the cover follows only finds a two count, Liz breathing a slight sigh of relief that the camera picks up as Scorpio eyes her for a moment. Shaking his head, Scorpio picks Matt up off the mat and sets Stone up, driving him straight down to the mat for his Intensified (Sitout Belly to Back Facebuster)! Again, he rolls matt over and goes for the cover, this one getting the closes two count of the night. Once again, Scorpio seems agitated, but rather than argue, he picks Matt up a third time, which was the charm as Stone gets straight up for his C-C-C-C-Combo Breaker! Scorpio falls backwards and Stone crawls over, going for the cover getting the 1 2 3!
Rayne: Stone wins! We have a singles match at Happenstance, thank god!
Nick Webb: Wait, Liz is calling off the pin!
Rayne: Why?
Davis is pointing to Scorpio’s leg which is under the rope, presumably before the three count and thus nullifying the deciding fall. Breathing heavily, Stone gets to his feet and starts screaming at her, saying that he heard a three and she should raise his hand, but she informs him she can’t allow that to stand or she’d lose her title. Amongst the arguing, Scorpio is able to recover, spinning Stone around and leaping in the air, driving him straight down with his Modified Dreamwave! Stone is flat on his back, the camera zooming in on Elizabeth as she rolls her eyes, seeing Scorpio go for the cover. She gets down and makes the count, getting the 3 count!
WINNER: Scorpio, via Pinfall
Nick Webb: Scorpio wins here and now he could be the next World Champion in just one short week!
Rayne: Yeah, right.
Davis goes to raise Scorpio’s arm, but swerves him as she goes for her Clock Strikes Midnight (Trouble in Paradise), but Scorpio is able to duck the lethal blow and Liz falls flat on her face, getting up, she’s spun around and dropped as well with the Dreamwave! With both Stone and Liz on the ground, Scorpio exits the ring and walks over to the ring crew, grabbing Davis’ World Title and raising it high in the air as "Dreamwave" by Vogel plays over the arena's sound system.
Nick Webb: Yeah, we could be looking at the next BWF World Champion in Scorpio... what a story, Rayne!
Rayne: Yeah, yeah, great. You think Liz needs help? He attacked her for no reason!
Nick Webb: No reason? Are you blind? Well, for the blind man over here, I’m Nick Webb... don’t forget to order Happenstance next Monday night, only on pay-per-view! Goodnight all! We'll see you next week for Happenstance!
We see one final shot of Scorpio, posing with Liz's BWF World Championship, before the camera fades to the BWF logo, and then to black.
