Episode 170 - May 19, 2014
Nick Webb: Welcome to BWF's flagship program, Monday Night Havok! We are live from the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi, and tonight, three more competitors will advance to the second round of the 2014 Happenstance Tournament.
Rayne: And that's not all; we've got two huge Championship matches, as The Love Hammers battle The Rejects for the BWF Tag Team Titles, while Chris Maverick faces new Chaos Theory Champion Axel inside a Steel Cage, all for the chance to regain the title he lost after only one short week!
Awesome Adams
There’s a hush over the crowd before “Lights Out” by P.O.D. begins to play and the crowd starts to roar. AJ Adams makes his way out to the stage and starts to look around. He raises a fist in the air and the crowd follows suit. The music starts to die down as Adams holds a microphone up to his mouth.
AJ Adams: Two weeks ago I may have failed to capture the BWF World Championship but that’s okay. I said a while back that my goal was Happenstance. I wanted a chance to prove that I was better than the BWF roster and there’s no better place to do so than in the Happenstance Tournament. Tonight it starts with Mike Mox.
The fans start to boo as Adams smirks.
AJ Adams: I hate to spoil your first big match in the bright lights, kid, but you aren’t prepared for what’s about to happen. It takes four wins to take the crown and I intend on picking up the first tonight. Tonight starts a rise to the top and these fans are going along for the ride.
He points out to the crowd.
AJ Adams: It’s our time to change the landscape of the BWF. Mike Mox, it’s lights out.
Mike Mox makes his way to the ring and the bell rings as both Mox and Adams start circling one another.
Nick Webb: We might be looking at one of the biggest mismatches in this entire tournament, Rayne. Mox is a newcomer who has struggled since joining the BWF, while AJ Adams is a former two-time BWF World Champion.
Rayne: Nonsense, this is the kid's big chance! He beats AJ Adams, he becomes the #1 seed in this entire tournament!
Mox goes for a clothesline, but Adams dodges it, sidestepping as Mox runs into the ropes. He rebounds and Adams catches Mox with a hard sidewalk slam for a 2 count. He picks up Mox and suplexes him, then heads to the top rope and hits a diving elbow. Another cover, another 2 count. This continues for a few minutes, with Adams on the offensive and Mox taking hit after hit, but still refusing to die. Finally, Adams hits Mox with the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail), then shifts into the Lights Out (Tazmission). Mox doesn't tap, but does appear to pass out after a brief struggle. The ref checks Mox's hand and it drops once... twice... three times. This match is over!
WINNER: AJ Adams, via Submission
“Lights Out” by P.O.D. cues up throughout the arena and the fans rise to their feet and cheer for AJ, now completely on his side after the incredible display they just witnessed. Adams stands up and holds up one finger, yelling "That's one down! Who's next?" before posing in the corner.
Nick Webb: Tonight definitely wasn't Mike Mox's night.
Rayne: Too bad for him, but hell of a win by AJ Adams! I don't envy whoever has to face him in the next round, that's for sure.
Alli's World
We cut to the backstage area where we see Don McMichael standing by with Alli Taylor who is almost finished getting ready for her upcoming match. Don readies himself for the interview as Alli stops and stands by him.
Don McMichael: I’m standing by with Alli Taylor, who two weeks ago made her return to the BWF and attacked the Sovereign Champion, Zoe Cooper. Last week you took on her boyfriend, Austin Scott, in a Happenstance match where you were victorious. Was Happenstance your goal from the beginning of your return?
Alli Taylor: I guess you don’t pay attention, do you, Don? Last week I stood in that ring and told the world why I’m here. I see Zoe Cooper and it makes me sick. I’m back because I want to show that everything she has should be mine. It’s just a coincidence that my return coincides with the Happenstance Tournament. Winning that tournament will be my first step in proving that I’m better than Zoe Cooper. On one side of the bracket is me, the other is Zoe. I’m rooting for you, Zoe. I want to see you in the finals with me so that the entire world can watch as your world comes crashing down around at my hands. I beat your man last week and this week I team with Mick in tag action. I don’t care what his goals are or motivation is because I’m going out there to win.
Don McMichael: What do you think about your tag partner tonight?
Alli Taylor: As long as he goes out there and is ready to compete I couldn’t care less. He can wear a mask, he can be twisted and demented, it doesn’t matter to me because I’m going out to compete. I’m a realist, Don. I’m a professional who is going to expect my partner be ready. Any other stupid questions?
Alli looks at Don and walks off.
Three of the four combatants are already in the ring by the time Mick belts down to the ramp and to the opponent drawing the most attention. Which happens to be Akemi, trying her hardest to swipe the hat from Scott and to no avail. Mike Kosiboski immediately rings the bell once Mick crosses the ropes. Mick grapples with the tall girl, using his power advantage to THROW, not whip the woman back first into the turnbuckles. Akemi doesn’t stop to ponder about how absolutely rude that is, bounces back to her feet.
Akemi Hayashi: Again!
Mick is quick to try and oblige but is quickly met with a swift kick in the middle. A hop, a skip, and a kick to the back. Not enjoying the thought of being made a fool of Mick swings around hitting and elbow to floor the woman. Mick pulls up Akemi and slams her down with a quick powerslam. Grabbing the pixie fueled fury by the hand he drags her toward Austin. Even going as far as to grab her hand and inch it toward the extended hand of the cowboy. Only to flick it away before the hands can touch. Mick cannot finish his sadistic game, though. When Akemi manages to slip from his grasp and land a drop kick to the back of the big man’s knee. With a deafening shriek, she charges the kneeling Mick and hits with a swinging neckbreaker.
Rayne: What a move, and here's the cover!
1!
2!
Not gonna happen.
Mick kicks out of the pin, getting quite angry with his plucky opponent who happens to be running around in circles as if to charge an attack. A blind tag from Alli breaks Mick’s concentration on the bout. Alli seeming quite tired of her partner trying to hog all the spot light. Mick seems equally angry at Alli ruining his fun and exits the ring, narrowly avoiding an Akemi cross body. Akemi shakes the second rope in frustration belting a Pixie fueled roar toward the vanishing Mick.
Nick Webb: Oh my! Akemi is hopping mad!
Akemi is completely unaware of the legal opponent in the ring until Alli rolls her up into a quick pin.
1!
2!
Nope.
Alli catches Akemi in a side headlock as she rises to her feet. She goes for the take down but manages to shift it into a roll up of her own.
1!
2!
Nada.
Alli kicks out of the pin and trips up Akemi. Wasting no time, she decides to slow down her spastic opponent by tying the tall girl up with a Mexican surfboard. Stretching Akemi, she doesn’t notice them slowly inching closer and closer to the opposing corner. Akemi extends her arm just enough for the tag to be made and Austin to run in and break the hold.
Rayne: Nice veteran ring presence from Akemi there, I gotta admit.
Austin takes down Alli with a quick clothesline and pulls her back to her feet. Austin is startled by a sudden kick to the gut. She attempts to go for a quick finish by setting up the break down. Unfortunately, Austin powers out of the hold and scoops Alli up and plants her down with the Law and Order.
Nick Webb: This one's over!
1!
2!
3!
WINNERS: Austin Scott & Akemi Hayashi, via Pinfall
Austin goes to pick up his hat but notices the puppy dog look of Akemi. For one time for the victory celebration he places the hat on Akemi’s head. Excitedly, she sprints around the ring in glee, only to run straight into the boot of a chair wielding Mick. He gets behind Austin and lays him with the chair. He stares down the partner he abandoned and waits for her to return to her senses. As soon as she sits up he blasts her on the head with the chair.
Nick Webb: Come on! Is that really necessary?!
Rayne: I don't get this guy. He throws away a battle royal win at Danger Zone, he throws away the Happenstance tournament last week, and he throws away this match tonight, and for what? What is his end game? Is this guy ever going to get serious?
Nick Webb: God help us if he does, Rayne.
Rayne: More like God help whoever he steps into the ring with.
Challenge Rejected
The camera moves backstage, where the BWF Tag Team Champions, The Rejects, are standing with mics in front of a large Havok backdrop. (Eagle-eyed fans might recognize this set-up from the BWF's weekly post-show webseries, Aftershock.)
Spyke Gein: Let me tell you what Allen and I are going to do.
Allen Chaney: We are NOT going to let a pair of walking dick jokes take OUR tag titles.
Allen pats the tag belt over his shoulder.
Spyke Gein: We ARE going to destroy their faces and have a lot of fun doing it.
Spyke smiles.
Allen Chaney: We ARE going to look good while doing it.
Allen raises an eyebrow.
Spyke Gein: We are going to retain our BWF Tag Titles. End of list.
Allen Chaney: We are going to prove time and time again that we are the greatest tag team in BWF history, and that Jack 'the Mack' has no right to the name Hammer.
Spyke Gein: Because the Hammer is my penis.
Allen and Spyke exchange a high five and walk off screen.
The bell sounds and Omen is straight on the offense, running at Savage and ducking under a right arm, sending a few kicks straight to Savage’s right leg, Caspian pushing him away. Omen comes back and throws his forearm into the side of Savage’s head, knocking him back. Omen follows up with a few more kicks to the side of the leg before hitting the ropes behind him and running right into Savage’s The Dirt Deal (Discus Elbow Smash). Omen falls back on the mat, holding his head, Caspian getting down on the mat and driving his knee into the top of Omen's head once, twice and thrice.
Nick Webb: Such brutality from Caspian Savage here, wasting no time,
Rayne: Well Omen tried the quick game Nick, but he was caught rather quickly.
Caspian picks Omen up and whips him into the ropes, catching him on the comeback with a tilt-a-whirl side slam, going for a quick cover but only getting a two count. Not to be deterred, Caspian picks Omen up and shoves him in the nearby corner, charging in shoulder first, but Omen is able to leap over him, flipping down Savage’s back for a sunset flip, getting a near fall before Caspian is able to power out. Omen hits the ropes and connects both of his feet into Savage’s chest as he’s getting up with a dropkick. Savage is quick to his feet, but is flipped over with an arm drag by Omen. Once again, Caspian is to his feet and once again he’s flipped over for another arm drag, the crowd starting to get behind Omen. Omen hits the ropes one more time, but as he’s coming back he’s drilled in the face with Caspian’s Warrant Served (Running Arched Big Boot)!
Nick Webb: Jeez! Omen’s face might be broken!
Rayne: Such power on display by newcomer Caspian Savage here, pretty impressive.
Rather than go for a cover, Savage starts choking Omen, referee Seth Williams starts counting, Caspian releasing Omen's throat on the four count. Lifting Omen up, Caspian drives the back of his elbow into the side of his head, lifting him up off his feet for a press slam, literally pushing him up into the air four or five times before simply walking out from underneath him, Omen landing flat on his face and chest. Caspian taunts the crowd, turning back around and grabbing the back of Omen’s head and bringing him to his feet, grasping his back and lifting him up off the mat, falling down, driving him straight into the canvas with his Police Brutality (Back to Belly Piledriver)! Omen has his leg hooked and Seth Williams gets down on the mat to count the one, two, three.
WINNER: Caspian Savage, via Pinfall
"Dead and Gone" by Carl Bensley plays over the BlazenTron as Savage mounts the middle turnbuckle and holds his arms up in the air, shouting as the crowd boos.
Nick Webb: And Caspian advances in the Happenstance tournament, Rayne. Can anyone match power with him?
Rayne: Well he’s going to be facing Finn in the next round and you know what? I think I’m going with Caspian.
All You Need Is Love (Hammers)
As Havok comes back from its commercial break, Kiss' “Love Gun” Fades in as the self-proclaimed “Mom's choice when it comes to BWF Tag Teams” The Love Hammers; stand posing at the turnbuckle microphone in hand. Caruso Love tossing off his white corner jacket to the crowd, Jack Hammer doing the same, Caruso Love brings the microphone to his mouth.
Caruso Love: Ladies and Gentlemen...
Jack Hammer: But mostly the Ladies...
Caruso Love hops down from the turnbuckle.
Caruso Love: Allow us, the main attraction, the best in cougar huntin', mother lovin'-
Jack Hammer hops down as well.
Jack Hammer: Bar drinkin', Ass beatin'!
Both Together: Mom's Choice when it comes to Tag Teams!
Caruso Love: -to put on the best show for you tonight, The Rejects have had it easy for far too long I think!
Jack Hammer nods in agreement.
Jack Hammer: That's exactly right, Caruso, see The Rejects haven't had real competition since they got here, and when they do get it somehow they just wind up coming a bit short.
Caruso Love: And we have no issue with coming short or early do we, Mr. Hammer?
Jack Hammer: Indeed we don't! See while we might have lost a chance at bringing the Chaos Theory title to the Love Hammers, we work better as a team, if one of us needs to be the Goose to ones Maverick, or just find that that woman needs that extra special touch-
Caruso Love: We never falter as a team! We even finish each other's-
Jack Hammer: Sandwiches!
Caruso Love: Yeah sure lets go with that, tonight, the tag team titles change hands, so let's not waste time... and when it's over, Rejects?
Jack Hammer: Don't be sorry about it...
Both Together: VEGAS AWAITS, LADIES!
We start out the tag title match with Spyke and Caruso in the ring, locking up, a rematch from April 28th edition of Havok. Caruso moves to the side and flips Spyke over to the mat with an arm drag, locking in a quick armbar as a follow up. Spyle fights to his feet quickly, back elbowing Caruso quickly with his free arm and hits the ropes, coming back with a spinning heel kick, going for a quick cover, but only finding a one count. Spyke is to his feet, making a quick tag to Allen who comes in, Spyke holding Caruso in a Russian leg sweep, Allen off the ropes charges and a Sweep/STO combination plants Caruso straight into the mat, Allen going for the cover, but it’s broken up at two by Jack. Stinson turns to usher Jack out of the ring, missing the inside cradle on Allen, Caruso holding him down long enough for maybe a win, but by the time Jeff turns around, he only gets a one count. Chaney, to his feet first, rushes forward and drills Caruso with a stiff clothesline, dropping down for a cover, finding a two count.
Nick Webb: Tag Champions showing early advantage here Rayne in their first title defense.
Rayne: Well they want revenge after losing last time out against the Love Hammers.
Caruso starts to crawl to his corner to tag in Hammer, but he’s cut off by Allen who drags him back to the champs corner, tagging Spyke back in. Off the top rope, Spyke leaps off and drives his elbow into the lower back of Love, shooting the half, but only getting a two count. Spyke gets up and raises his hand for the crowd before going into his B-Boy Stance (Breakdancing Leg Drop), but the leg drop misses. Love is able to dodge roll away and make the tag to Jack Hammer, who comes in and immediately shoulder tackles Spyke, who’s sent flying into the neutral corner. Jack tags Allen on the apron, knocking him off before walking in a semicircle to the opposite neutral corner, charging at Spyke and hitting a large splash! Jack picks Spyke up, doubling him over with a knee lift, pulling his arm between his legs, lifting him up and falling forward with Spyke in the air, hitting The Love Handle (Pumphandle Slam). Jack goes for a cover, but he’s pulled out of the ring at the two count by Allen! Jack and Allen start brawling outside when the crowd starts to boo, seeing Hardcore Mike and Stone come out from the back, pulling Love off the apron and tossing him into the steel steps, Stone sliding in the ring to work over Spyke. Jeff calls for the bell as both PhoeniCyde and X-Factor rush down as well, entering into a big brawl.
WINNERS: No Contest (Rejects retain BWF Tag Team Titles)
Nick Webb: What’s going on here? We have ten men fighting all over the place!
Rayne: The Tag Team scene is alive and well, by the looks of it!
Several referees rush down to try and separate the men, Stone and Mike are in the center of the brawling, taking out Xander Strife in the corner two on one. Allen and Jack are still fighting outside, until they both get hit from a suicide dive courtesy of Stryker Cloud. Phoenix and BioCyde are working over Spyke, delivering a devastating double powerbomb! Finally some order is being restored, as the teams are leaving slowly. Officials continue to wrangle the teams as Havok fades to commercial, the crowd booing loudly because of the brawl being stopped.
I'm Running Out of Scorpio Puns
The cameras go to the backstage area where a relatively well-dressed horoscope by the name of Scorpio is quickly signing a few autographs to some fans who snuck in, Don McMichael slides in from the right with his microphone ready.
Don McMichael: Scorpio!
Scorpio jumps nearly a foot and a half, letting out a startled gasp of air and nearly clocks Don out, but keeps his composure.
Scorpio: Sweet Jesus, you sneaky Irishman. what the hell do you want?
Don McMichael: Scorpio the fans want to know if you're going to be mentally and physically ready for your International Title re-match against Matt Stone next week.
Scorpio narrows his gaze on Don.
Scorpio: I was actually just on my way out to the ring to address that, but if you're gonna be so impatient fine, I guess I don't need the ring to say what I was going to say.
Scorpio takes Don's microphone from his hands and looks right into the camera.
Scorpio: Matt Stone, your two weeks of rest are up, I'm sure you enjoyed spending a few nights in the hospital, but while you were busy checking out the nurse's ass and trying to keep down hospital food, I was getting ready, I was preparing, no distractions, I might as well have been in a Siberian gulag training to a sick Kenny Loggins song. Since I lost to you at Danger Zone, I have never been more focused on something in my life, you actually might have managed to teach me something... not about wrestling, I already know more than you, but about life. See while I was International Champion, I didn't respect what I had earned, I got greedy, I wanted more, I saw what Zoe Cooper had... Two titles, and the world's respect at her back, and the hate and admiration of her peers, I wanted that, but all I got was the hate, I wanted to hold all the titles, every title, I wanted to be King, and what happened? I let some chump barrel over me, I let distractions get in the way and I let my sight get clouded with visions of a bright future.
Scorpio smirks.
Scorpio: But now that clouds are gone, my sight has cleared, and now I know EXACTLY what I want... I want redemption, I want a clean win over you Matt Stone, and I'm going to get just that, next week I'm going out to that ring and I'm going to make it my mission to take you over your edge, and when you're tired and wasted, and I'm still ready for more... I will end your fluke streak, I will end you, and I will make sure your next imminent hospital stay lasts longer.
Scorpio hands the microphone back to Don McMichael, but not before looking Don in the eyes.
Scorpio: Because it doesn't matter whether I'm jerkin the curtain, via satellite, just showing up for a chat... or closing the show... Everyone... and I MEAN everyone... comes to see... Scorpio. Now if you'll excuse me, Don, I have business to attend to.
Scorpio walks off, leaving Don and the BWF fans confused before the camera shifts back to the ring.
Toco heads out to the ring first, followed by Zoe, who is wearing a Stone Cold-style knee brace over the knee that Alli worked over at Danger Zone.
Nick Webb: How is Zoe going to win this match with her knee banged up? She can barely move, much less hit her running knee!
Rayne: I dunno, she looks fine to me.
The bell rings and, predictably, Toco goes right for Zoe's bad knee, trying to work it over while she fights him off. The crowd boos the Hall of Famer for the first time in years, almost bewildering the big man for a moment, though he quickly shakes it off and focuses on the match at hand.
Nick Webb: I understand these are Zoe Cooper fans, but you can't fault Toco for going after the bad knee. It's got a bullseye on it, and it could very well lead to her first loss right here tonight.
Rayne: Exactly. Toco's a Hall of Famer, a former World Champion in BWF, and the guy's using his veteran know how to work Cooper over. Like Corlen said last week, Zoe beat Toco the first time they fought... barely. How the hell is she getting past him with a bum knee?
Although Zoe puts up a noble offense, Toco is too much for the Sovereign Champion, keeping her locked down with a series of hard hitting moves that keep her leg locked up and in peril. At one point, Toco elicits a large round of boos from the Biloxi crowd when he tears Zoe's knee brace off, then proceeds to stomp on it hard. A figure four leg lock follows, but Zoe refuses to submit, and even manages to reverse the move onto Toco somehow, though the bigger man is quick to crawl to the ropes and break the move.
Nick Webb: Zoe's not giving up, but it may just be a matter of time here. She can barely stand on that knee.
Indeed, even with the ropes assisting her, Zoe seems to be struggling to put weight on her bad knee. Toco, who has recovered, senses blood in the water and motions for the end. He stalks Zoe (as well as a man his size can) and, when she finally turns around, he leaps up for the To-Cutter (Diamond Cutter), but Zoe catches him and shoves him off, causing him to collide head first with referee Bryan Swanson!
Rayne: Swanson and Toco have a meeting of the minds here in Mississippi! HA!
Zoe slides to the nearest corner and focuses on her knee, massaging it in an attempt to help alleviate the pain. Toco, meanwhile, slowly stumbles to his feet, his head still scattered thanks to the collision with Swanson. He shakes the cobwebs loose and starts to go for Zoe, when suddenly, Scorpio comes out of nowhere, leaping from the apron into the ring and catching Toco across the jaw with a flying European uppercut!
Nick Webb: Scorpio!? What the hell is HE doing out here?
Rayne: Think back to Danger Zone, Nick! Toco cost Scorpio the International Title! This is Scorpio settling his debt before he tries to get that belt back from Matt Stone next week!
The crowd, surprisingly, pops for Scorpio (likely because they've been booing Toco this whole match) and they pop louder when Scorpio flips the rising Toco off before hitting him with the modified Dreamwave (Jumping Cutter)! Scorpio flips him off one more time before rolling out of the ring and waiting on the ramp. Bryan Swanson starts coming to as Toco slowly gets up, completely unaware of his surroundings. He turns around, only to get caught right between the eyes with the Face Replacer (Running Bryan-Style Knee) from Zoe, bad knee and all! She cries out in heart wrenching agony even as she lands the move, but she still grits her teeth and pulls herself onto Toco for the cover. 1... 2... 3!
WINNER: Zoe Cooper, via Pinfall
Nick Webb: Against all odds, Zoe Cooper has survived against Toco and advanced to the second round of this prestigious tournament!
Rayne: Yeah, but you know what that means, Nick... she's got Casey Campbell in round two. He's going to eat her alive. Maybe next year, kid!
"Happy" by Pharrell Williams hits the BlazenTron as Zoe gingerly rolls out of the ring, grabbing her knee brace sitting on the apron on her way down. She holds it up as she hobbles toward the ramp, but her victory is short lived as Scorpio forcibly shoves her down, and then slides into the ring before continuing the attack on Toco.
Nick Webb: That was uncalled for!
Rayne: Don't get in the way! HA! Hell hath no fury like the Scorpio's sting!
Scorpio continues throwing wild punches at Toco, no doubt being egged on by the voice in his head, but he finally stops when "The Look" by Roxette hits the BlazenTron and Emily Corlen stomps out onto the stage.
Emily Corlen: ENOUGH! I've had it between you two! Toco, I put up with your crap when you and Wilkie were fighting - barely - but then you went and restarted this garbage with Scorpio. And Scorpio, in case you forgot, you have a TITLE MATCH NEXT WEEK that you need to worry about. So, I'll tell you what I'm going to do. You want Toco so badly? Fine. I want to see Matt Stone lose, so I have no problem lowering his odds even more. Next week's main event will now be a TRIPLE THREAT NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH for the International Championship! Matt Stone... versus Scorpio... versus Toco!
The crowd half cheers, half boos at this announcement. Seriously, man... Mississippi.
Nick Webb: A triple threat no DQ match for the International Title? That match is going to be insane!
Rayne: No kidding! And don't forget, it'll be the second main event title match in two weeks, because we still have tonight's main event coming up! It's Chris Maverick and Axel, Steel Cage Match for the Chaos Theory Title! Don't go anywhere, that's our main event and it is NEXT!
Coming Soon on Pay-Per-View
~ Live from the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland ~
June 16, 2014 - Only on Pay-Per-View
With the four walls of the cage set up, Axel enters the ring and the door is closed behind him, referee Mike Kosiboski standing outside ready to call for the bell when this match ends, either by pinfall, submission or escape. Axel and Chris quickly meet in the center of the ring, throwing rights and lefts as the crowd cheers for the fast start, Axel having the height advantage is able to back Chris back into the ropes, but that doesn’t stop the onslaught. A quick rake to the eyes does though, as Maverick grabs Axel’s head and throws him forward, face first into the steel cage wall. A second time and Axel falls to the mat, allowing Chris to his the ropes and come back for a low dropkick, connecting with the side of the temple. Maverick mounts Axel and starts hammering him in the face, Axel covering up as best as he can, but the camera is able to pick up red on Maverick’s first, meaning Axel is already bleeding. Satisfied, Chris gets to his feet and starts climbing up the cage wall, looking to regain his Chaos Theory championship. He gets about half way up before Axel is getting up, Maverick looking back and deciding against climbing further, leaps down for an Axe-Handle, but he’s caught in the bread basket by a right hand and he crumbles to the mat.
Nick Webb: Chris Maverick tried to get out of the cage, but thought better of it.
Rayne: Too bad he didn’t think better of that attack, too.
Axel picks Chris up and tosses his whole body into the steel cage, the structure giving little give to the impact. Axel grabs Chris’ hair and pulls him up, whipping him across the ring into the ropes, Maverick rebounding right into a big boot from Axel. The champion hits the ropes and jumps in the air, coming down for a splash. Axel wipes some of the blood away from his head, driving his knee into the side of Chris’ head as he does so. Maverick is lifted up, but he starts to fight back, a right hand to the gut, followed by a headbutt backs Axel off enough for Chris to have some breathing room, which he takes advantage of by hitting the ropes behind him, going for a crossbody, but Axel falls down to avoid the contact and Chris hits the cage! Maverick falls down, between the ropes and cage wall. Axel sees this and starts to climb the near wall, looking to escape and retain his championship.
Nick Webb: Axel is looking to retain his title here Rayne, can me make it out?
Rayne: Looks like Chris won’t be able to get to him in time; wait, what’s this?
With Axel nearing the top, Maverick slingshots off the top rope, over to Axel’s side and just sweeps his foot with his hand, causing Axel to stumble and slip down the wall, crotching himself on the top rope! The leap left little to be desired for the landing for both men, Chris landing on the mat and needing time to recover. Luckily with Axel’s landing, time is afforded to Chris to get up. Maverick grabs Axel’s head and rakes him across the steel, blood dripping down his face, covering the cage. Chris starts climbing up right in front of Axel, heading to the top. Maverick gets one leg over the top when his other is grabbed, Chris kicking it frantically to try and get free, but Axel has a firm grip, climbing up on the cage beside Chris. Maverick starts throwing hands, catching Axel in the forehead, causing him to slip down and allowing for Maverick to swing his other foot around, now essentially sitting on the top of the cage, just needing to drop down to regain his title, but Axel won’t let him, climbing back up, grabbing the man’s pants. Chris looks to knock Axel off to free him up for the win, but Axel fights through the blows, grabbing Maverick around the throat, choking him. Axel climbs to the top now, hand still on Chris’s throat, and lifting him up a bit, forcing him backwards straight down to the ring! The crowd goes mental for the spot, Maverick crashing down, sprawled out on the canvas, allowing for Axel to climb over and drop down, retaining his championship.
WINNER AND STILL BWF CHAOS THEORY CHAMPION: Axel, via Cage Escape
Nick Webb: Good God! A chokeslam off the top of the cage!
Rayne: It doesn’t get much more ultraviolent than that, Nick!
"A Fractured Hand" by Despised Icon plays as Mike hands Axel his title, Axel holding it up triumphantly for everyone to see before falling face first! A hand is seen coming from under the ring and it pulls Axel under! The music cuts out as everyone in the crowd gets to their feet to try and get a better view of what was happening, nothing happening for thirty seconds that’s visible.
Nick Webb: What the heck was that?
Before Rayne can say anything, from the depths of the ring comes Mick Horrorflick, holding the Chaos Theory title in his hand. His mask is askew, allowing for everyone to see the sinister smile on his face. Mick holds the title up in the air, screaming out "No more fucking around!" before tossing the title down into the ground. The camera pans back as Mick snaps his fingers, the right corner of the ring sinking down, followed by the far left corner, and the other two go at the same time, the four cage walls collapsing inwards onto the ring, covering Chris Maverick inside them! Several officials, medical staff and ring technicians run down to do what they can, Mick just laughing as he walks away,
Nick Webb: Axel and Maverick are buried under there!
Rayne: That’s one way of putting it! What the hell was that?
Nick Webb: Obviously not something that was expected.
Rayne: Thanks captain obvious. Get these men out of that wreckage and fast!
Nick Webb: We apologize ladies and gentlemen, but we’re out of time here! We’ll get you an update just as soon as we can, but for now, for Rayne, this is Nick Webb signing out!
We see one more shot of the BWF officials trying to get through the ring wreckage, before the camera fades to the BWF logo, and then to black.
