Episode 166 - April 14, 2014
Nick Webb: Welcome to Greenville, South Carolina! We are live tonight inside the Bon Secours Wellness Arena for what is certain to be another unforgettable edition of Monday Night Havok! The road to Danger Zone continues, as the three superstars competing for the BWF World Title at that event will compete in tonight's main event - Liz Davis, Casey Campbell and AJ Adams!
Rayne: But, there's the wild card in that match, and that is Adams' partner, the #1 Contender to the International Title, Matt Stone! Needless to say, tonight's main event is going to be unpredictable... and unforgettable!
Working Overtime
The cameras of Havok go outside the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, as Reece Paxton and Scorpio stand beside the limo they had just arrived in, Scorpio wearing his white leather jacket, white leather pants and a white shirt, tucked in of course, while Reece Paxton wore a dark grey suit and green tie, he adjusted it a little as the driver heaved the bags of Scorpio and Paxton onto the trolley.
Scorpio: So explain to me again why, even when I don't have a match, I have to grace this arena with my presence?
Reece looked at him, with a look that said “Why would you even ask?” but still decided to answer it with a reasonable response.
Reece Paxton: Even as champion, you need to make your presence known, even one week could make your popularity waver, plus, its only two weeks to your second title defense and you need to observe your opponent as close as possible.
Reece turned from Scorpio, and then turned back.
Reece Paxton: Also, your contract says you have to appear at every show, so we're gonna unveil your new t-shirt tonight...
Scorpio shrugged and sighed.
Scorpio: Well alright, still don't know why we couldn't do that via satellite.
As the ref calls for the match to begin, Omen and Mox waste no time and go straight for a lock up dead center in the ring, Mox quickly gains the upper hand as he wrenches Omen into a wrist lock, Omen however, flips forward, then back, then out of the wrist lock; only to apply a tight lock to Mox who takes a knee, Omen wrenches in on the lock, as Mox struggles to fight out of it, he takes a second and begins to fight his way back up to his feet before he turns and drives his boot into Omens gut, Omen drops the wrist lock and lurches forward, Mox takes the advantage and goes for a DDT and plants Omen to the mat!
Rayne: Nice counter from Mike Mox there.
Mox goes to hook the leg but only gathers up a two count, he leaps to his feet argue with referee Jeff Stinson, who tells him flat out it was a solid two count, Mox tells him to hurry up on his counts and turns around, Omen quickly pulls into a cradle in, Stinson gets to two and Mox kicks out, both men roll out of the cradle and get back up to their feet, Mox bounces off the ropes and rushes towards Omen, who sides steps him and trips him up onto the top rope, Mox nearly clotheslines himself bouncing chest first off the ring ropes only to fall back into a missile drop kick from Omen which sends Mox flying out of the ring through the middle rope.
Nick Webb: Omen, sending Mike Mox to the outside with a well-executed dropkick!
Mox doesn't spend too much time on the outside, and he leaps back onto the apron. Omen rushes to attack him again but Mox catches him and drives his elbow a few times into his gut, Omen falls back a bit and Mox leaps over the top rope and comes back down on Omen in a hard Leg-drop!
Rayne: Did you see that leg drop!? This one is over!
Mox rolls back off Omen and signals for the end of the match, he picks Omen up to his feet and hooks him into a front head lock going for his Twist of Hate! But Omen slips out and moves back a bit, Mox keeps on the attack but Omen quickly used the ropes as leverage and leaped over Mox's shoulders, rushing to the other side of the ring he bounced off the other side, and just as he was about to leap over Mox again, Mox caught him mid-air and brought him down in an impromptu power bomb! He goes for the pin rolling Omen up, grabbing a handful of tights for leverage, however before the ref can count one, he notices Mike Mox's tricks and calls him out on it! Mox begins to argue with the ref for the second time, however this time Omen quickly rolled Mike up! The ref dropped for the count and Mike Mox only kicked out just mere mili-seconds after the ref got the three count!
WINNER: Omen IV, via Pinfall
Omen hops up to his feet and rolls out of the ring quickly, throwing his hands up in the air as Master P's “Make Em' Say Uhh!” hits the BlazenTron! Mike Mox sits on his knees center ring, trying to figure out what just happened.
Nick Webb: Mox tried to cheat his way to a win there and it backfired on him big time! What a debut for both men, but Omen IV picks up the win!
Rayne: I'm sure Omens I through III will be quite pleased with him.
Strange Bedfellows, Indeed
We come backstage where we find the lovely Katrina Evans standing in the interview area holding a microphone, a smile on her face as she prepares herself for the upcoming interview. She’s wearing a lovely red number accentuated with ruby red lipstick, all dolled up for some special occasion, no doubt.
Katrina Evans: Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great honor that I introduce to you the First Lady of the BWF, Elizabeth Davis!
The BWF Undisputed champion, Elizabeth Davis comes on screen with her title proudly displayed over her shoulder to ensure that it’s always in the shot. She smiles as she speaks.
Elizabeth Davis: Thank you for that heartwarming introduction. I would have preferred that you mention that I am the reigning undisputed World Champion, but I suppose mistakes will be made.
Katrina Evans: I’m so sorry! I guess I’m just not used to saying that.
Elizabeth Davis: Quite alright, it would appear that the majority of the people in the common locker room are having as hard a time adjusting as you are. Well I’ve got some news for everyone back here, you had best get used to it. I’m not going away, and I’m certainly not going to lose this championship as quick as my predecessor, the esteemed tag team partner to yours truly tonight. Just the thought of having to touch his hand during the course of this upcoming match is enough to nauseate me. As if a triple threat match at Danger Zone wasn’t enough, tonight I have to stand across the ring from the other challenger for my championship and a man I know all too well in Matt Stone. It’s because I know him so well that I’m not worried in the least about tonight, I’ve seen firsthand just how bad of a partner Matt Stone is, and so has Emily, so I’m not sure if her aim here was to punish Adams over something, but I’m not complaining.
Before Elizabeth can continue, another person enters the interview area, one of her opponents later in the evening, Matt Stone. Stone gives Katrina a quick look over, causing her to blush slightly before addressing the champion.
Matt Stone: Pardon the interruption, but I couldn’t help notice my ears burning when you mentioned my name. You don’t really believe that I’m going to walk out on a main event, do you?
Elizabeth Davis: I know you, Matt. There’s no title on the line, you already have your opportunity come Danger Zone, so you’re just going to coast till then, which, this time, suits me just fine.
Matt Stone: Well, sorry to disappoint you, my grace, but I plan on going out there and doing what I do best. Win.
Elizabeth Davis: So just like last week.
Matt chuckles, hearing Elizabeth’s retort and shrugs it off, having more to say on the subject later.
Matt Stone: I don’t lose twice in a row, you know that. Besides, we’re not opening the show, we’re in the main event, and I always deliver when the lights are on bright.
Elizabeth Davis: That may be so, and you may be one of the better wrestlers in the BWF right now…
Matt Stone: May be? I am the best and regardless of which one of us is being called the champion, you know I’m better than you.
Elizabeth Davis: Whatever you say Matt, all I ask is that you go easy on me then, I feel like I might be coming down with a little something…
Elizabeth has the faintest smirk on her face as she says then, meeting Matt’s eyes, but without skipping a beat, Stone replies.
Matt Stone: Maybe you should be the one to take tonight off then, champ.
Matt walks passed the two of them, intentionally brushing shoulders with Davis on his way by, knocking her title askew. Liz catches it and turns around, staring daggers at the back of Stone’s head as he walks away. Katrina, who had been silent during that whole exchange, raises the microphone to Liz’s mouth expecting her to say something, but no words come, just a loud shriek of frustration before she storms off in the opposite direction. Katrina, looking confused, eventually scurries off in the same direction as Liz.
Nick Webb: Emotions are running high tonight Rayne, these two have been showing signs of friction for weeks!
Rayne: Ever since Liz won the title, Matt has seemed a little more distant, but they won’t actually fight tonight, they’re a team Nick, a team!
Nick Webb: I wouldn’t bet on it, especially with your track record.
Carson didn't even wait for the bell when he rushed Toco into his corner, driving punch after punch into Toco's gut, he only stops to move back a bit when referee Bryan Swanson's count gets to four, Toco manages to catch his breath and move from the turnbuckle, but Carson rushes back in and drives his elbow into Toco's jaw, getting up to the second rope he begins to strike Toco's skull repeatedly, left and right, the frustration of losses over the past week being driven into Toco's skull with each brain rattling haymaker.
Nick Webb: James Carson has lost it, Rayne! Toco may be in physical danger right now?
Rayne: Look at his physique, Nick, the man is ALWAYS in physical danger! He's one mistimed stretch away from a massive coronary!
Again Bryan Swanson's count reaches 4 (maybe 4 and a half) and James Carson hops down, dropping to his knees, laughing like a maniac, Toco though a little loopy takes a step forward and just as he's about to fall flat on his face, he catches his bearings and charges Carson! Driving his knee right into the side of Carson's skull in what could be considered as a halfhearted enziguri, however the strike did its job and knocked some of the voices out of Carson's head, whom, as he is falling over, looks like he has a moment of clarity before flopping onto his back.
Nick Webb: How did Toco get his foot up that high? Wow!
Toco drops down and hooks a leg, but manages only a two count. Toco just shakes his head and gets back up to his feet. He goes to pick up Carson by the back of the head, but is distracted when he sees Alex Wilkie walking down the ramp, wearing his nice suit and tie, Toco went to the ropes and began to shout at him, Wilkie just held out his arms, looking insulted, as if he needed to be told where he can and can't go.
Rayne: Hey, looks like Alex is back out here to join us on commentary.
Nick Webb: Oh, PLEASE. He's clearly out here to mess with Toco. Someone get him outta here!
Toco turns back to Carson and picks him up again and, though his attention divided as Wilkie begins to circle the ring, Toco Irish whips Carson into the ropes who bounces back into a sick clothesline from Toco, though even as he goes to pin Carson again, His attention is centered on Wilkie, peering at him from the bottom rope outside the ring.
Rayne: Focus on the match, fat ass!
Nick Webb: How can he, with Wilkie's freaky looking beady Canadian eyes staring into his soul?
Rayne: Hey, I'll have you know, I'm Canadian, and I take a LOT of offense to that.
Nick Webb: Really?
Rayne: HELL no. Could you imagine? (Shudders) FUCK YEAH, 'MURICA!!!
Finally Toco signals for the end he throws his hand up and picks Carson up, hooking Carson's head by his shoulder going for the To-cutter! But just as he's about to plant Carson to the mat, Wilkie hops up onto the apron and looks like he's about to get in, but Bryan Swanson stops him from entering, who begin to argue with each other, Toco then releases the hold and rushes Wilkie, elbowing him off the Apron, Toco points and laugh at Wilkie who fell right on his Ass, he turns back to his opponent but is quickly pulled into a hold and hit with The Brainwashing! (Sister Abigail) Carson just lays on Toco, laughing at all the pain he endured for the three seconds needed for the win.
WINNER: James Carson, via Pinfall
“Where is Your God Now” by Jimi Raymond plays over the BlazenTron, as James Carson pulls himself up, standing over Toco, though his victory is short lived, when Wilkie rolls into the ring with a microphone. Carson, seeing this as a slight against him, goes on the attack, but Wilkie quickly hits him with the Grade A-KO! And kicks him out of the ring!
Alex Wilkie: Alright alright! Cut that crap out!
Wilkie calls for the end of Carson's theme music and looks down at Toco, still down and out from the Brainwashing.
Alex Wilkie: Now Toco, I know you can hear me buddy...
He looks down at Toco, with a very obvious look of disgust.
Alex Wilkie: Get ready to pack your bags... because at Danger Zone, I'm going to send you home crying... like a little bitch.
Wilkie drops the mic on Toco and poses over his body as “Spirit of the Radio” by Rush hits the BlazenTron.
Nick Webb: Absolutely disgusting.
Rayne: WHY IS THIS MAN NOT IN THE HALL OF FAME YET?
Nick Webb: Oh, lord.
CASEY CAMPBELL'S PWNZWN
Special Guest: David Slayton
We come back from our regular scheduled commercial to the new segment with the “PWNStar” Casey Campbell sitting in the middle of a ring on a purple velvet seated stool with a microphone in hand and his BWF Spinner Championship over his other shoulder.
Casey Campbell: Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome to the PWNZWN!!!!! Just like I told everybody on Twitter the first live broadcast of it here tonight I would like to invite the former owner of the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation and close personal friend of mine… DAVID SLAYTON!!!
"Superstar II" by Saliva hits the BlazenTron and BWF Founder David Slayton walks out onto the stage. The crowd pops surprisingly positively for the former World Champion as he makes his way down to the ring, high fiving a few fans along the way. He heads up the steps and enters the ring, then poses in the corner for a moment before shaking Casey's hand and sitting down next to him.
Casey Campbell: Glad to have you here Dave! It’s been going pretty downhill since I last seen you. How have things been with you?
David Slayton: You know, I can't complain too much. I've done some appearances here and there, some for BWF, some for a few other companies. Been killing it in GTA Online, too. I think I'm more proud of that right now. Bout time SOMETHING I do makes me look like a bad ass.
The crowd laughs as Slayton smirks.
Casey Campbell: Alright! Well, the reason I called you here is just like you, I’m easy to let my emotions get the better of me. Just like when you kicked me in the head at WrestleFest, I PWNed both Liz and AJ in one night. Now, I’m hoping, just like you forgave me, you can be the mediator and help Liz forgive me as I apologize.
David Slayton: Uh... yeah, sure, I guess. I can't promise she'll go for it, but I'll do what I can.
Casey Campbell: So then, Liz, since me and you have to work together tonight, please come on down and join us at the PWNZWN!!!
Casey and Dave stand up and look towards the ramp as "Acapella" by Karmin starts to play. After a few moments, the music stops and Elizabeth doesn’t come out. Dave looks a little confused, but then he just lets off a deep sigh, looking like he just realized something. Dave then quickly turns around, only to get PWNED!!! (Point-Blank Spear) by Casey, almost breaking him in half.
Nick Webb: Oh, come on, dammit! That wasn't necessary!
Rayne: It was totally necessary; Casey's been holding that in since WrestleFest! Good on ya, Campbell!
Nick Webb: Hang on, now you're a Casey fan all of a sudden?
Rayne: Eh, he's beating up Dave. Hard not to enjoy that.
Casey just stares down at Dave with the crowd giving him a mixed reaction. Casey picks the microphone back up, still staring down at Dave holding his ribs.
Casey Campbell: That’s what you get! I forgave you once, Dave! Then, you go behind my back and party with the bitch that stole my title!? I trusted you once, Dave, but I’m doing what I should've done when I forgave you last time!
Casey goes to lift Dave up, but Slayton starts to fire off with a few hard rights! Casey, however, headbutts him back down, then nails a stiff knee to the side of his face. Then, finally, Casey lifts Dave up on his shoulders and yells at the crowd before slamming him down with a BROMAGEDDON!!! (Shell Shock). Casey slides out of the ring with the microphone still in hand.
Casey Campbell: Also! Forget the main event tonight! I’ll be damned if I'm going to set one foot in the ring with those three! I’m out, bitches!
Casey drops the mic and heads into the back as Havok fades to commercial, the crowd abuzz with uncertainty.
The bell rings as Allen Chaney and Austin Scott start circling each other in the center of the ring. Johnny Maverick, Allen's manager, is ringside, but the demeanor on his face says he's purely there to watch, not to get involved. (Also, he was ordered not to - or else.) The former International Champion controls Allen in the early goings of the match, keeping the surprisingly spry big man grounded and away from the corners. Allen breaks away and hits a hard left that sends Austin reeling, then hits the ropes and comes back with a clothesline, but Austin ducks under it, jumps onto the ropes and springboards off with a flying knee to the side of Allen's head, taking him down hard. Austin covers, but Allen kicks out right at two.
Nick Webb: Disaster-style kick from Austin Scott, but Chaney's not going down that easily!
Austin pulls Allen up, but Allen counters into a small package, which Austin kicks out of after nearly getting caught. Allen finds new life after this maneuver, as he takes down Austin with a series of punches left and right and follows those up with a hard DDT right onto Austin's head. Another cover, and Allen only gets two. Allen picks Austin up and whips him into the ropes, catching him on the rebound with a black hole slam, and then shifts from that into an armbar! Johnny cheers on Allen at ringside, no doubt realizing the significance of the move.
Rayne: Allen Chaney busting out a variation of Maverick's Perfect Armbar there... maybe without the Perfect, so much, but an homage is just that, I suppose.
Nick Webb: Never mind that, Austin's in the center of the ring! This one might be over!
Austin struggles to get to the ropes, trying his best to drag Allen along with him. He stops a few times and teases tapping out, but refuses to give up, yelling out in agony and defiance. He inches closer to the ropes, reaching out with just one or two fingers. He's nearly there... Johnny looks like he's considering pulling the ropes away, almost guaranteeing his protege a win if he does so... but Johnny refuses to break the rules, choosing to adhere to the stipulation of this match, and moments later, Austin gets a finger on the ropes, breaking the submission.
Rayne: Johnny! You're killing me!
Nick Webb: Johnny's not here to cheat his client's way into the win column. The Rejects are more than capable of winning fair and square, and he's determined to remind them of that!
Allen, showing just a hint of frustration, pulls Austin up, only to be dropped face first onto the second rope. Austin stands up and runs to the other side of the ring, then comes back, looking to leap onto Allen, but Allen turns and catches Austin with a hard clothesline, turning the tough Texan inside out! Allen wipes the sweat off his brow as he drags Austin a few feet closer to the nearest corner and then starts to scale the ropes, no doubt looking for his signature moonsault!
Rayne: This one's over! Watch that Funny Fat Fuck Fly!
Allen reaches the top rope and starts to line himself up to deliver the move, but from out of nowhere, a recovered Austin runs into the nearby ropes, causing Allen to crotch himself on the top turnbuckle! Austin moves over to the corner and lays into Allen, trying his best to turn him around. Allen starts fighting back and soon, the two are laying into one another with lefts and rights. Shaken and wobbly on the second rope, Austin struggles to hold on. Allen aims a final punch to get him back on the mat, but Austin dodges it and, in a moment of desperation, grabs Allen in a belly to belly-esque hold and leaps off the ropes, turning both himself and Allen in midair and shifting Allen into a makeshift Ace in the Hole (Rikishi Driver), dropping Chaney right on his head! The crowd pops loudly, chanting "holy shit!" as Austin covers - 1, 2, 3!
WINNER: Austin Scott, via Pinfall
"Kick It in the Sticks" by Brantley Gilbert starts playing as Austin rolls out of the cover and exits the ring, leaning against the barricade as the fans slap his shoulder and back. The ref hands him his Tag Team Title as Johnny walks over and offers a hand to the winner. Austin turns and spits on the outside mat, then warily shakes Johnny's hand, Maverick congratulating him on a hard fought, close victory. Austin heads up the ramp with his title, the fans still cheering, as Johnny checks on Allen, no doubt telling him that they'll have their day soon enough.
Nick Webb: What a match between these two young stallions! No doubt they're both future Champions and, dare I say, Hall of Famers!
Rayne: Johnny's gonna have to teach his boys some new tricks, though. Danger Zone is looming and The Rejects are 0-3 against Cooper and Scott right now.
A Not-So-Quick Exit
A camera crew is waiting in the back as Casey Campbell has his bags thrown over his right shoulder and his belt over the other one making his way out of the building. He then suddenly stops and the cameras turn showing BWF (whatever I forget) Emily Corlen waiting for him.
Casey Campbell: Can I help you?
Emily Corlen: I'm sorry, you can help me. Where the hell do you think you're going? You're in the main event tonight. Don't think for one second that I'm going to let you walk out that door... not if you still want to be a BWF wrestler when this show goes off the air tonight.
Casey rolls his eyes.
Casey Campbell: Fine! I’ll be in your main event tonight... if you give me a few stipulations to my Championship Match.
Emily Corlen: Are you... attempting to BLACKMAIL me?
Emily looks like she's about to explode.
Emily Corlen: The ONLY reason your ass isn't suspended right now... is because I'm genuinely curious what it is you want. Because, frankly, if you're willing to extort me to get it, you're either really fucking dumb... or it's very, very important to you. So, while I'm sure I'll regret this... please, continue.
Casey Campbell: First! It’s a hardcore match! Anything goes! Next… when I win, I want Elizabeth’s win over me stripped! I want her taken off the records of ever being Champion and that I never lost my title!
Emily ponders Casey's demands for a moment.
Emily Corlen: Alright, well, wanting Liz's title reign to never exist is probably the stupidest damn thing I've ever heard. Is your dick so small, you can't even handle the thought of someone beating you for a title at any point?
Casey looks to argue his point, but Emily stops him.
Emily Corlen: Uh-buh-buh. No to that. Sorry, bigguns. However... I have to say, I'm actually intrigued at your other idea. AJ Adams... Elizabeth Davis... Casey Campbell for the BWF World Title at Danger Zone... in a Street Fight.
The crowd pops loudly at this.
Emily Corlen: You got your match, but only because I want to see you three rip each other to shreds in Indianapolis. Now get the fuck out of here and go get ready for your match before I fire you for real.
Casey looks like he's going to argue, but (wisely?) decides not to push his luck and storms off. Emily watches him go and shakes her head.
Emily Corlen: Liz is gonna find out the hard way... there's only one Queen of Professional Wrestling... and it ain't her.
The C.E.O. smirks to herself as she walks off, leaving Havok to fade to commercial.
A Message to a Dreamer
We cut backstage where we see Matt Stone backing out of the locker room, speaking to someone inside, presumably his tag partner for the night.
Matt Stone: One night truce, that’s all I’m asking for, then you can go back to hating me, I hear it’s all the rage these days.
Stone closes the door and is immediately stopped by BWF backstage interviewer, Toshi Yang.
Matt Stone: Toshi, perfect, just the girl I wanted to see.
Toshi Yang: I heard you asked for me to meet you here, what do you want? I’m not going to get you a coffee or anything like that.
Matt smiles, shaking his head as that.
Matt Stone: Well I assumed you still conduct interviews here, but if that’s not you, then perhaps someone else can.
Toshi Yang: Don’t you have someone for that? That’s the main reason none of us get as much work as we’d like.
Matt Stone: She’s busy being a turncoat at the minute, so I thought you could fill in nicely.
Toshi Yang: Well, sure. Okay. Was there something you wanted me to ask you about?
Matt Stone: Where’s your journalistic integrity? Surely, there must be something you can think of to ask a megastar like myself.
Toshi Yang: Well, alright, last week you lost a match to Toco; do you think that will affect your momentum heading into tonight’s main event tag match?
Matt Stone: There ya go... and no, I don’t. I don't like losing, that’s been stated many times, in fact I downright hate it, and losing to someone like Toco who, let’s face it, hasn’t had the most momentum as of late unless he’s falling down a set of stairs hurts even more, but at the end of the day, I think it’s a positive.
Toshi Yang: How is that?
Matt Stone: Well the way I see it, Emily saw fit to come out in the middle of my match to announce that I had earned a title match. Why do you suppose she chose that exact time? I’ll tell you, because she thought it would annoy me, and it did, it cost me the match, but the fact that she thought she needed to do that means that I’m getting to her. I’m inside her head, and it’s already causing her to make poor decisions. If a loss to Toco grants me an International title match, I’ll gladly take that. I defeated three men two weeks ago, one of them being the International champion himself… Whatshisname, and in a one on one match, I have no doubt that Whatshisname won’t stand a chance against me. I heard him say that he can handle the job, and that everyone will tune in to see him regardless of where he is on the card, and the funny thing is, he’s not even on the card this week. Regardless of that, everyone knows that if I’m not the one doing the talking, no one is really listening. In fact, I’d go so far as to say the only dreamtime I’ll be experiencing is if I have to listen to Whatshisname talk again.
Toshi Yang: What about tonight? Do you have a plan for tonight?
Matt Stone: You know me; I never have a plan, per se. I just go out there and win, and as long as Adams doesn’t screw it up for us, we’ll be doing just that, despite what Beauty and the Beast would have you believe. I’m the Straight Shooter, you know I don’t lie, and those two will never be able to shut me up!
Stone gives Toshi a wink and walks off to end the interview, leaving her to stand there looking bewildered.
The match begins with Axel and Maverick renewing their team-up from the past few weeks and working together to take down Kristy and Akemi. Chris keeps Kristy cornered while Axel and Akemi move across the ring, trading momentum and moves. At one point, Axel and Maverick try to Irish whip both of the ladies into one another, but both Akemi and Kristy scout the move, sending Axel and Maverick colliding into each other instead.
Nick Webb: Meeting of the minds here in Greenville!
From there, Kristy and Akemi go to work on one another, while Axel and Maverick argue, before that devolves into a slugfest - which, as Rayne points out, isn't necessarily indicative of a falling out, but that "every man or woman is for themselves in a match like this". Akemi gets a close two count when she catches Kristy with a dragonrana into a pin, but both Axel and Maverick divebomb that before the ref can count to three.
Rayne: No dice for Hayashi-san.
Nick Webb: Hell of a move, though.
Axel peels Kristy off of the mat and starts pummeling her as Chris goes to work on Akemi. Axel lifts Kristy up and goes for an STO, but Kristy counters into a Russian leg sweep and, from there, pulls Axel into an anaconda vise! Axel scrambles to reach for the ropes, but he's just out of reach! He seemingly looks like he's about to tap out - but a few feet away, Akemi blocks a clothesline from Chris Maverick and counters into the Gift of the Starflower (Devil Lock DDT)! Akemi rolls Maverick into the cover and the ref, watching to see if Axel's going to tap, slides over to Akemi and counts! Kristy quickly realizes what's going on and lets go of the submission as the ref counts... 1... 2... 3!
WINNER AND #1 CONTENDER TO SOVEREIGN TITLE: Akemi Hayashi, via Pinfall
"Collapse Generation" by Arcturus starts playing as Kristy leaps onto Akemi and Chris, just a millisecond too slow to break up the pin. Akemi quickly exits the ring, holding her side and raising her hand in victory, making the peace sign as she heads back up the ramp. Kristy slams the mat in frustration as Axel pulls himself up with the ropes, still dazed and in pain.
Nick Webb: It was a razor thin victory, but a victory nonetheless for Akemi Hayashi, who will head to Danger Zone to face the undefeated Zoe Cooper for her Sovereign Championship. Kristy Jackson, especially, looks absolutely deflated, but there can only be one winner in a match like this, and tonight, that winner was Akemi.
Rayne: Kristy had that submission locked in on Axel, it looked like this one was over, but Axel didn't tap out and that submission ended up costing Kristy the match. Thems the breaks in a multi person match like this one. On the plus side, Jackson's still unpinned!
The Unveiling
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome... REECE PAXTON!!!
The crowd is unsure of what to do, whether to boo or cheer, as Reece Paxton walks out to the stage to no music, with a BWF microphone, adjusting his tie a little.
Reece Paxton: Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Reece Paxton and it is my pleasure to introduce to you your International Champion... SCORPIO!!!
“Dreamwave” By Vogel hits the BlazenTron as Scorpio pulls into the Arena in a blazing hot pink '78 Pontiac Firebird, he lets out a raucous shout as he hops out of his driver seat and throws his hand up inthe air, showing off the International Championship, with a big grin on his face, he slips it back over his shoulder and walks down to the ring with Reece Paxton, they both make their way up the Steel steps and in through the middle rope, Scorpio goes up to the nearest turnbuckle, soaking in the sweet sound of the boos, he hops down and looks down at the mat, noticing its been covered in a nice red velvet carpet. "Dreamwave" fades away as Reece Paxton motions for Scorpio over to two podiums standing center in the ring.
Reece Paxton: Now... BWF fans in the arena, and viewers watching at home, my client and I have a very special reveal for all of you... first of all, Scorpio, my client has been in the company for almost three months, and in that time, he has won a prestigious title, he's been in the main event on Havok, and has only been defeated once... and yet, almost three months... and my client Scorpio has no merchandise... so AS Scorpio's representative, I went down to the BWF marketers, and I told them no merch... no shirt... no Scorpio.
Scorpio looks a little uneasy at Reece Paxton, but smirks just a little bit at his trainer's forwardness.
Reece Paxton: Of course, BWF is reluctant to lose their biggest draw, so they came up with a new shirt that as of the unveiling... will go on sale... so without further ado!
Reece Paxton pulls off the red curtain that covered the one podium where propped up on a nice torso mannequin was Scorpio's first t-shirt.
Scorpio looks like he's about to cry as he goes to pull the shirt off the mannequin and quickly change into it, Reece of course, holding his white leather jacket and Scorpio's International Title. Reece nods a little, smiling just a little bit as Scorpio admires the crisp white shirt with his name on it. He goes to take his title back, but Reece pulls back a little before holding up a finger. He then drapes it over Scorpio's shoulder himself, before taking a step back and smiling.
Reece Paxton: Scorpio... You won the title in your third match... and you've held it for 37 days! 37! You've held it for longer than 19 of the 33 superstars who've held it before you... longer than Hall of Famer The Executioner, longer than the first man to hold the belt, Ryan Maanya... and longer than my old teacher, Alex Wilkie. WHEN - not if, WHEN - Ms. Corlen finally decides to unify your Championship with Zoe Cooper's, then you will take your place as the greatest Champion in BWF history.
Scorpio lifts the belt up, looks it over, then smirks a little and holds it up for the world to see, letting out a victorious yell.
Reece Paxton: Ladies and gentlemen... YOUR International Champion... and your FUTURE International Sovereign Champion!
"Dreamwave" by Vogel hits the BlazenTron as Scorpio turns around and shakes hands with his trainer before strapping the belt around his waist, and putting his white leather jacket on, he smirks a bit and takes the microphone from Reece Paxton and goes to the nearest turnbuckle.
Scorpio: And whether I'm jerkin the curtain... OR CLOSING THE SHOW! Everyone comes to see... SCORPIOOOOO!
He holds the 'O!' for a good long time, holding his head back a little before he smashes the mic on the ground and lets out another victorious roar. BWF fades to commercial as Scorpio continues his grandstanding.
Coming Soon on Pay-Per-View
~ Live from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana ~
May 5, 2014 - Only on Pay-Per-View
Each individual enters separately, with the BWF World Champion making her way to the ring last, accompanied by Katrina, who is holding Liz's championship high in the air for everyone to see. Adams and Stone, in the ring, watch her entrance with anticipation. Katrina walks around the ring and sets the title on the announce table and sits down, getting a third headset to join Nick and Rayne.
Rayne: Thanks for joining us Katrina, I can’t wait to hear your analysis on this match.
Nick Webb: Oh yes, I can’t wait for that either.
Katrina Evans: What’s an anlysist?
Nick Webb: Wonderful.
The bell rings and the match starts with Elizabeth and AJ Adams in the ring. Davis and Adams lock up, AJ ducking behind Liz and grabbing her right arm for a hammerlock, which Davis quickly counters by getting down on her knees and flipping Adams over. As AJ gets to his feet, Davis knocks him back down with a standing dropkick. AJ is quick to his feet a second time and when Liz goes for a second dropkick, Adams bats her down and follows up with an elbow drop on her lower back. Liz starts crawling over to her corner, but AJ grabs her leg and pulls her closer to the center, but eats a foot to the face instead. Liz gets up and sends a stiff forearm to AJ’s head, following it up with an uppercut. Adams is backed against the ropes, allowing Liz to grab him and send him across the ring, catching him and spinning him down to the mat with a snap powerslam! Liz hooks his leg, but only finds a one count from referee Mike Kosiboski. Keeping up the pressure, Liz lifts Adams up off the mat and plants him down on the mat with a DDT. Elizabeth points to Stone on the apron and turns her back to him, bending her knees and starts her booty pop, doing the taunt for an extended amount of time to taunt Stone before executing a backflip on the prone AJ, but she only finds the mat. Adams reaches up after rolling away and tags in Stone.
Nick Webb: Now we’ll get to see Matt Stone and Elizabeth Davis square off for the first time.
Rayne: No one wants to see that!
Katrina Evans: That’s right, friends shouldn’t fight.
The crowd starts cheering for the situation, but as Liz is getting back up, Casey reaches over and slaps her backside, getting an official tag. Elizabeth turns around and looks disgusted as Casey gets in the ring, grinning. Davis reluctantly leaves the ring and Stone runs across the ring, leaping in the air for a punch, but Casey catches him and slams him down to the mat with a modified powerslam! Wasting no time, Casey lifts Stone up and tosses him into the nearby corner, driving his shoulder into the midsection of the Shooter, followed by a second one, then a third. Campbell grabs Stone’s arm and whips him hard across the ring, the impact forcing Matt to take a few steps out of the corner only to be brought down hard by a clothesline from the Pwnstar. Casey hooks Stone’s outside leg and gets a two count.
Nick Webb: Casey Campbell has been all over Stone here so far.
Katrina Evans: Never count out Matt, he’s like a boss.
Rayne: Oh honey... that’s not how that works.
Liz holds out her hand on the apron, wanting to be tagged in with Stone winded, but Casey just shakes his head at her, wanting to continue his beatdown. Casey throws Stone across the ring at the ropes, Stone rebounding into The Cool Down (Black Hole Slam)! Casey goes for another cover, but again only finds a two count as Adams comes in to break up the cover. AJ and Casey start exchanging blows back and forth, Nick quickly losing control of the match. Casey whipping Adams across the ring and ducking his head, but he doesn’t get the backdrop he’s looking for, instead he falls face first to AJ’s Eat It (Fame-Asser)! The crowd cheers for AJ as Liz comes in the ring, running at Adams, but getting hit with a drop toe hold for her trouble, Davis rolling out of the ring holding her face in pain. Nick is yelling at Adams to get out of the ring, and as he’s doing that, Casey runs at Adams, but takes a stiff kick to the head, Stone delivering his Go Go Gadget Foot (Superkick) to Casey as well, knocking him down. Adams gets back on the apron and Stone goes for a cover, getting a two count before Liz reaches in and pulls Stone’s foot, breaking up the pin.
Nick Webb: Elizabeth just cost Matt the match there!
Rayne: We don’t know that, Casey could have kicked out.
Katrina Evans: Oh no!
Katrina is reacting to the fact that both Stone and Liz are now standing face to face, inches apart, Stone shouting something in Liz’s face. Rather than swing at Stone, Elizabeth turns her back to him and presses herself up against Matt, which is convenient as it allows her to see Adams coming and duck in time so Stone eats a wheel kick from Adams! Adams gets up, annoyed that he missed and turns to find Davis, who leaps up and spins in the air, delivering her Clock Strikes Midnight (Trouble in Paradise)! Adams goes down and rolls out of the ring. As Liz is getting back up from the move, Stone pushes her out of the ring with his foot on her booty. Matt turns around to win the match, but he’s quickly PWNED!!! (Point-Blank Spear). Casey hooks both legs and Nick gets down for the cover, getting the 1 2 3 on Stone!
WINNERS: Casey Campbell & Elizabeth Davis, via Pinfall
Rayne: Well, Casey and Liz are victorious and we didn’t see Stone and Liz fight, I’d call it a great match.
Nick Webb: You got to believe that Matt will be after both of them, though, isn’t that right Katrina?
Nick apparently didn’t notice Katrina gather up the BWF World Championship and run off to help Liz up on the outside, handing her the championship. Davis holds the belt up high and starts walking up the ramp, Casey not that far behind. Adams is still rubbing his head outside the ring, but he’s also heading to the back. Stone is just starting to get to his feet, holding his ribs. The crowd starts to react, Stone turning around and getting nailed by the International Championship held by the champion himself! Stone falls flat on his back knocked out, allowing Scorpio to trap him in The Sunset Strip (Triangle Chokehold)! As Stone is being choked out, the camera can pick up that Scorpio is shouting out his name, apparently wanting to make sure Stone knows it after his backstage interview earlier in the night. Three referees and some backstage agents come out of the back to help Nick separate the International Champion from his pay-per-view challenger. Stone’s face is starting to turn purple as Scorpio is finally pulled off, pushing off the agents and getting his title, holding it high in the air as the crowd boos.
Rayne: Not a good night for Matt Stone at all.
Nick Webb: Well, he can’t blame Emily for this one. He talked about Scorpio earlier and now he’s gotten to know Scorpio a whole lot better.
Rayne: How do we know Emily didn’t send him out here himself?
Nick Webb: Well, we don’t know that for sure, and I doubt we’ll get any more answers here tonight, because we're out of time. For Rayne, I'm Nick Webb... be sure to tune into next week’s Havok as we approach Danger Zone! Good night, everybody!
We see one last shot of agents checking on Matt Stone, before Havok fades to the BWF logo, and then finally to black.
