Episode 164 - March 31, 2014
Nick Webb: Coming off a historic Tainted Twilight, we are coming to you live from the Smoothie King Center right here in New Orleans, Louisiana! Welcome to Monday Night Havok!
Rayne: And we’re finally back to a weekly schedule, Nick! I no longer have to wait two weeks to insult you!
Nick Webb: We have a great show planned out for you tonight, folks, with the BWF Sovereign title on the line, as Spyke Gein looks to finish what he and Allen started last week when he takes on Zoe Cooper, plus, we have Matt Stone in a three on one no disqualification handicap match as punishment for his tactics at Tainted Twilight.
Rayne: Don’t bury the lead, Nick... we’re joined now by the brand new BWF World Champion, Elizabeth Davis!
Happily Ever After
Indeed we see Elizabeth Davis standing in the middle of the ring with the BWF World Title wrapped around her waist. Katrina Evans is there with her as well as the end of Karmin's “Acapella” dies out.
Elizabeth Davis: Last week at this time, I was thought of as nothing more than a lowly interviewer cosplaying as a wrestler; at least, that was the opinion of a certain former World Champion. Tonight marks my first Havok as your BWF World Champion!
Liz unhooks the title from behind her waist and holds the title up in the air as a sign of triumph, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd.
Elizabeth Davis: Now, I could stand here all night and talk to you all about just how important this is to me, but I think my actions over the past few months shows that well enough, don’t you? I made it quite clear months ago that this, and only this, was my goal and while it wasn’t easy, I did it. Too often in this profession, people come out here and make false promises, set false expectations and try to become false prophets, but with me? Everything I say in this ring is truth. I don’t think this solitary act will change people’s perceptions of me, and I accept that. The only way to facilitate change is to be the change that you want to see, so I’ve decided that it’s about time I make a change. All the tales of Blazenland and the dressing up as various Disney characters has been great fun, and it has helped me visualize and express my goals easier, but now, I think it's time I move on from all that, grow up, as it were, as start acting like the Lady this company deserves. Sure, Kate Gilmore, Adriana Garcia, Emily Corlen and Elena Simonova have all been BWF World Champion before, and they’ve all tried to add their own varying degrees of sophistication to this product, but let’s face it, none of them has the same grace and modesty that I have. In reality, I am the first Lady to ever hold the BWF World title, I’d even go so far as to say I’m the First Lady of the BWF in general, and it’s about time I get recognized as such.
Now the New Orleans’ crowd starts to boo Elizabeth, who just smiles and brushes off their jeers.
Elizabeth Davis: Being a Lady, however, is not the only distinction I have, far from it. I’m also a proud Canadian, and I was surprised at the amount of Canadians before me that have held this title. Most recently, names like Finale and Kyle Cross have held this belt and I’m ashamed to share a country with the two of them. The only good thing the two of them did was set the bar so low, I simply need to raise my foot inches off the ground to walk over their mark and go down as the best Canadian to have ever held this title. Before any of that can be declared, though, I do have some business to take care of. Here in the BWF, rematches are a pretty important thing to alleviate some of the “fluke” talk that goes around the locker room, and I’m sure there are some people back there that may think just that, so I’m going to come out and say that I am perfectly fine with defending my Championship against Casey Campbell at Danger Zone. In fact, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I won't even make him agree to some ridiculous stipulation simply for my own amusement, because I have more class than that. Casey spoke last week about staring at my... headlights?
Elizabeth glances down at her chest to ensure the metaphor is picked up on.
Elizabeth Davis: But at the end of the night, all he could see were the lights in the ceiling. The same image will soon fill his vision again. His legacy, as he put it, was defined last week as that of a mediocre champion, while mine will go down in history as one of, if not the very best, title reigns in this company’s history. The difference between the two of us? Sophistication, class and at some times, basic cleanliness.
The crowd starts to cheer now as former BWF World Champion Casey Campbell walks out onto the stage, glaring at Elizabeth in the ring. Liz spots him and flashes a fake smile, heading over to the ropes, the BWF World title draped over her shoulder. She turns to the title and kisses it; Casey lurches forward, causing Liz to back up and the crowd to laugh. The two stare at each other as referee Bryan Swanson comes out, sensing a confrontation and warning Casey that this isn’t allowed.
Nick Webb: A lot of tension here Rayne, and these two used to be friends!
Rayne: You heard what Casey said, he was only using Liz as something to look at! The nerve of him...you think we can convince her to sit out here with us?
Nick Webb: As much as I’m sure she has much more to say, it looks like we’ll have to wait for another time to hear Casey’s thoughts on a possible rematch between these two!
As Nick was speaking, Casey had determined that he had better save his energy for his match coming up and walked to the back, Liz storming out of the ring, followed by Katrina, obviously annoyed at being interrupted.
Rayne: Where's Casey going? He's got a match!
Nick Webb: We'll have that one right after the commercial break for you, folks! Don't go anywh---
We Interrupt This Regularly Scheduled Broadcast...
Nick is suddenly cut off as the screen goes to static before starting to become clear again as "The Awesome Adams Show" flashes on the screen and we cut to the backstage area. AJ Adams is standing front and center with a BWF and Awesome Adams backdrop behind him. He’s almost set for his match, wearing his wrestling gear, and just taping up his wrists. He starts to smirk as he looks up to the camera.
AJ Adams: Welcome to the first ever Awesome Adams Show during a Monday Night Havok. Welcome to a night where two former BWF World Champions team up to take on two guys that just spent a match trying to beat the other. Two guys new to the BWF scene that are looking to start to climb their way to importance. Here tonight they have a chance to tell the world they’re here and that they mean business.
Adams finishes taping up one hand and moves onto his second.
AJ Adams: Unfortunately for Axel and Maverick they’ll be up against Casey Campbell. A man that has just lost his World Championship and is looking to bounce back and get his title back. They’ll be up against me, a man that’s on the quest to tear through the BWF and get back to the very top while forging my legacy. Tonight, Axel and Maverick, it doesn’t matter what happened between the two of you at Tainted Twilight because you’ll both become a part of my legacy when I leave you in the center of the ring in a pile of defeat.
He finishes up the second hand and tosses the tape aside.
AJ Adams: Happenstance may be three months away but I’m getting more and more prepared as the weeks go by. I will stop at nothing to rise back to the top of this company and prove I’m the best. I don’t care who is at the top of that ladder when I get there because nothing, no one will stop me. Just like Axel and Maverick won’t stop Casey and I tonight. For them, it’s lights out.
Adams puts his hand over the camera lens as Havok cuts to commercial.
The bell rings as Casey and Chris Maverick start out for their respective teams, Maverick's shoulder bandaged up as per reports on TheBWF.com. Almost immediately, however, Casey walks back to his corner and slaps AJ on the shoulder, telling him to take care of business. AJ's eyebrow raises at the way Casey tags him in, but he shakes it off as he enters the ring to face off against Chris.
Nick Webb: That's not going to build any camaraderie between this duo.
Rayne: Casey's still upset over his loss last week at Tainted Twilight. Shall I call him a waaa-mbulance?
Chris and AJ wrestle across the ring, the rookie Maverick (still not related to the Maverick clan) doing his best to hold his own against the former two time BWF World Champion. Despite his best attempts, and a few covers, Adams keeps the momentum squarely in his team's corner, finally hitting Maverick with a GTS - but Axel breaks up the pin attempt! Casey watches almost uninterested from the corner as Axel and Chris double team AJ, until the ref finally forces Axel out. Maverick tags in Axel soon after and the duo gets a few more shots in on Adams.
Nick Webb: Adams is gonna need to tag out soon, he's in rough shape.
With Adams hurting, Axel keeps the heat on the former World Champion, hitting several big moves and netting a handful of near falls, all while Casey watches on, almost distracted. With AJ on the ropes, Axel goes for the Oblivion in Motion (Fireman's Carry dropped into a Left Knee Lift), but AJ counters it into a tornado DDT! The crowd pops as Adams shakes the cobwebs loose and heads to his corner to finally tag in his partner, but as soon as he turns around, Casey catches him with the PWNED!!! (Point-Blank Spear) The crowd boos loudly as Casey screams "I don't need this shit!" and rolls out of the ring, heading up the ramp without a second thought.
Nick Webb: What the hell?!
Rayne: THAT WAS AWESOME! Ha ha ha! Casey, I take back everything I said about ya, buddy!
Back in the ring, Axel comes to and slaps himself to recuperate before lurching forward and nailing AJ with the 666 (Punt to the Head). He immediately rolls Adams over and hooks the leg as Chris cheers on the apron. A quick three count later, Axel and Chris Maverick have won the match.
WINNERS: Axel & Chris Maverick, via Pinfall
"A Fractured Hand" by Despised Icon plays as Axel stands up and Chris Maverick joins him in the ring. The referee for the match raises both competitor's hands as the crowd boos, both at the young guns and the man who betrayed his partner, Casey Campbell, who has already disappeared behind the curtain.
Nick Webb: I just don't understand what we witnessed! Why screw yourself out of a win? Why screw over an innocent tag team partner?
Rayne: Why does anybody do anything in this business, Nick? To make a statement. I think the entire BWF just heard Casey loud and clear.
Pep Talk
The camera shifts backstage to the locker room of The Rejects. Johnny Maverick is standing between them.
Johnny Maverick: You may have been wondering why I stopped the both of you last week.
Allen Chaney: Got a crush on little Zoe?
Allen asks with a smirk. Johnny glares at him.
Johnny Maverick: Let’s talk about the fact the both of you are so full of shit your eyes are brown.
He looks at his younger brother and his student respectively. Spyke seemed to be distracted by his new girlfriend who was in the room, but Allen is standing at attention. Naomi Takashi smiles at Spyke and Spyke smiles back. Allen elbows him in the ribs and he stands at attention as well.
Johnny Maverick: You both talk a lot of shit about sending a message. You get disqualified, beat the shit outta people and hell, I can appreciate that. When I left this place, Zoe and Elena didn’t do me any favors, but what is the best possible way a pair of Rejects can send a message? Spyke?
Spyke Gein: Um... barbed wire! Lots of barbed wire! Maybe some fire.
Johnny shakes his head and turns to Allen.
Allen Chaney: Curb stomping is always my favorite courier.
Johnny Maverick: Did you ever even consider that maybe all you had to do to send a message of legitimacy was win some freaking belts?
Allen Chaney: Pffft. What do those belts even mean anyway?
Johnny Maverick: They are much more than leather and gold, fatass. They are marks of superiority. You want to show this company that the Rejects rule? Get yourselves some fucking wins!
Johnny turns to his little brother, Spyke.
Johnny Maverick: Ollie, you’ve got a hell of a chance tonight. You can stop Zoe’s momentum right in its tracks with one well-placed kick. Don’t fuck this up and a tag shot will be right around the corner and maybe not fuck this one up this time. Tons-O-Fun?
Johnny turns to Allen.
Johnny Maverick: You’ve got a big opportunity here tonight to impress the boss lady. She seems to have it in for Stoney pretty bad. I don’t get it. I mean, I hate Matt Stone as much as any sane person should, but it’s whatever. People seem into him these days. Just kick his ass good and you’ll get in the good graces of Em. She’ll make it rain belts for you if you mess up his face.
Allen Chaney: Was already planning on it, but uh... I guess I have a big question. Are you sticking around just to manage us or...
Johnny Maverick: Too many questions, Al. Too many questions. All will make sense in due time. Until then, you two get pumped and NO SEX BEFORE A MATCH!
Johnny glares at Spyke and Naomi. The both of them blush hard, clearly having not advanced to that stage of their relationship yet. Johnny marches out of the room and towards Emily's office. Apparently, she wanted to have a talk...
Despite everything that happened to her at Tainted Twilight and her attitude after the program went off the air (cheap plug for BWF Aftershock on the BWF website!), Zoe kicked off this title match with far more of a cool head than most people were expecting from the undefeated superstar, especially considering she was facing her biggest title defense yet in former multi-time Champion Spyke Gein (who, unlike Chris, is a member of the Maverick clan).
Nick Webb: I can't help but notice that Spyke's partner, Allen Chaney, is nowhere to be seen. Neither is his brother, Johnny, both of whom we saw backstage before the break.
Rayne: Spyke doesn't need anybody's help to become a Champion. He proved that before and he just might prove it again here!
Both Zoe and Spyke keep things moving early on, with the momentum shifting back and forth between Champion and challenger. Spyke gets the closest near fall after hitting Zoe with his Hurricanranaranabobannabanananafofana (Phoenix Dragonrana), netting a 2 ¾ and a slightly frustrated Spyke, who quickly regains his own cool.
Nick Webb: Neither one of these competitors is showing an ounce of give, Rayne. Who do you think has the upper hand?
Rayne: It's hard not to pull for Zoe, she's undefeated and all, but Spyke's been competing since before Zoe even got out of high school! We could very well see a new Sovereign Champion tonight!
Nick Webb: Perhaps ironic if it were to happen, given that the previous champion before Zoe won the belt was Spyke's brother, Johnny Maverick.
As the match goes on, more and more of the momentum begins to fall in the court of Spyke, who works to wear down Zoe with a combination of high flying and martial arts moves. He tries to hit Zoe with The Norris (High-Impact Roundhouse Kick to the Head), but Zoe dodges; it still grazes her head, but it's obviously not a full impact. It's still likely enough to crown a new Champion, except for Zoe rolling out of the ring to the floor, still barely conscious enough to react.
Nick Webb: Veteran instincts from Zoe Cooper, who just quite possibly saved her record breaking reign as Sovereign Champion!
Spyke rolls out of the ring to grab Zoe and lifts her back onto the apron before rolling her into the ring proper. He heads back inside and covers her, but she is able to kick out a split second before the three. The crowd cheers loudly as Spyke motions for her to get up, tapping his leg.
Rayne: Spyke's calling for a second Norris! He didn't get a full hit with the first one, but a second will spell doom for Cooper no matter how much impact he gets on it!
Zoe slowly raises herself up, first to one knee, then to the other, and turns as Spyke indeed goes for a second Norris kick. This time, she ducks instead of dodges and the kick sails right over her head! Spyke, caught off guard with the counter, turns... right into Zoe's Candy Crush (Sit-Down Facebuster)! She stumbles over to the corner instead of going for the pin and waits, measuring the former PWA Intercontinental and Tag Champion up. Spyke groggily comes to and Zoe catches him with the Face Replacer (Running Bryan-Style Knee) before he can regain his bearings! Zoe covers - 1, 2, 3!
WINNER AND STILL BWF SOVEREIGN CHAMPION: Zoe Cooper, via Pinfall
"Happy" by Pharrell Williams hits the BlazenTron as Zoe stands up, still grabbing her head in pain, and is handed her Sovereign Title. She heads to the nearest corner and climbs up, celebrating with the belt as the crowd's tone suddenly shifts from excited to concerned.
Nick Webb: Look out!
Behind Zoe, Allen has appeared in the ring to collect his tag team partner. Zoe hops down from the corner and stares down Allen Chaney, who is staring Zoe right back down. She braces for an attack, but before anything can happen, Johnny Maverick walks onto the stage and waits. Allen turns and notices him, and almost as if understanding a private message, helps Spyke up before exiting the ring with him. Zoe remains where she is, not daring to move, as Allen helps Spyke back up the ramp. When they get there, Allen, Spyke and Johnny take one more long look at Zoe in the ring before they head back through the curtain, leaving the Sovereign and Tag Team Champion to wonder what just happened.
Rayne: There you go, see? The Rejects are stand up guys, just like Matt Stone.
Nick Webb: Oh, please. I don't trust any of these guys for a second, no matter what they say backstage.
Rayne: Look no further for the evidence. Is Zoe Cooper dead? No? Then Johnny's doing his job.
Nick Webb: I'll reserve my judgment for the time being, thanks.
Mr. Canadian Goes to Havok
New Orleans erupts with mixed cheers and boos as “Spirit of the Radio” by Rush hits the BlazenTron. The song plays for a few seconds before Alex Wilkie, who made his reappearance at Tainted Twilight, walks out onto the stage, carrying a microphone in his right hand. He chuckles a bit at the boos and shakes his head some before he walks down to the ring. His head held high.
Rayne: What a guy that Wilkie!
Nick Webb: That guy cost Toco his chance at the International Title, a Montreal Screwjob if I ever saw one!
Rayne: Ahh who cares, Toco had it coming!
Wilkie makes his way up the steel steps and into the ring. He walks around the ring a little, as Rush fades away, the boos louder than ever now without the music to drown them out. Wilkie raises his hand for silence, and achieves only a little bit, half the crowd still booing or chanting for Toco.
Alex Wilkie: Now now... let's all take a chill pill here... okay? I'm sure most of you saw Tainted Twilight last week, and I'm sure most of you know that I don't really care for layabouts in the wrestling business. Ever since Toco made his return to the BWF, he's done nothing but coast along on his 'fame' as a Hall of Famer. Toco has been given chance after chance after chance at titles, and yet every time he gets to the point where he can just taste that bit of gold, he fumbles the ball and ends up straight back to the bottom where he is destined to be the rest of his life.
Wilkie smirks a little.
Alex Wilkie: And frankly, seeing him being GIVEN a shot, not even having to fight for it, after all the chances he's had, makes me sick to my stomach. A Hall of Famer, so called 'legend', rests upon his laurels and provides nothing more than another mouth breathing in my air. So when I heard Tainted Twilight was going to be in Montreal, I took a chance... I talked to a few guys and sure enough, I was granted a microphone, some camera time, and a chance to put Toco down for good.
The boos pick up, louder than ever this time.
Alex Wilkie: And guess what, you can boo me all you want, but you can't deny that I'm right. Ever since I hit Toco with the Grade A-KO, and he had to leave Montreal the same filthy loser he entered, the BWF has heard neither a peep or burp from his black hole of a gullet. I achieved what I set out to do; I put a Hall of Famer back on the shelf so he can't embarrass this company anymor-
Wilkie is suddenly interrupted when out of the corner of his eye, he spots Toco running down the ramp! The crowd explodes as he slides under the ring and spears Wilkie to the mat! Toco starts to wail on Wilkie like there's no tomorrow! Wilkie tries to fight back! Throwing elbows left and right, he catches Toco in the jaw and manages to get him off for a few seconds, only enough time for Wilkie to get up, but Toco charges back at him and rushes him into the corner, landing face blow after face blow, Wilkie's been opened up, his face bleeding all over his nice suit!
Rayne: Wilkie needs help!
Nick Webb: Toco has gone crazy! We've never seen Toco this mad before!
Officials and refs rush down to the ring to try and pry the two away from each other, but Toco merely pushes them out of the way. Wilkie uses one of the officials as a human shield and shoves him into Toco, who of courses, pushes him out of the way. This time, Wilkie uses the distraction to slip out of the bottom ring, Toco only grasping at air when Wilkie rushes up the ramp again. Wilkie checks to see how bad he's bleeding as Toco trash talks him from the ring, the refs still trying to hold him back. Just as Wilkie is about to head backstage, “The Look” by Roxette hits the BlazenTron and Emily Corlen marches out to the stage to stop Wilkie in his tracks.
Emily Corlen: You know what... I'm in no mood for this bullshit tonight. So, how about this, the first match for Danger Zone on May 5... is going to be YOU, Alex Wilkie... and Toco... in a STREET FIGHT! You two can sort this out yourselves like real wrestlers!
Wilkie smirks and looks down to the ring at Toco who looks to be growling almost, ready for any fight now as Emily walks back through the curtain and Havok fades to commercial.
Master Plan?
We come backstage where we see the Abominable Showman Matt Stone standing with Katrina Evans, who has a microphone in her hand.
Katrina Evans: So tonight Matt, you will have to step inside the ring with not one, not two but three of the BWF’s top stars right now in a three on one handicap match, all because of what you did to the C.E.O. Emily Corlen last week at Tainted Twilight. Knowing what you know now, do you have any regrets over your actions?
Matt Stone: Regrets? Ha, you know me better than that, I regret nothing and feel remorse for less. Whether I won a thirty minute drag out fight or I won the way I did, it would all be the same. The only way out of this situation without having Emily throw a temper tantrum would be for me to have actually laid down for her, and I’d rather die than to lay down for anybody, especially Emily Corlen. No, I stand by what I did, and now if this is a consequence I have to endure, so be it. I said it earlier in the week and I’ll repeat it here, I’m the martyr here in BWF and I accept that. People need to see what kind of a poison Emily is for this company and this business as a whole, and if I need to take a beating or two to prove that point, then I will. That isn't saying that I won't go out there and try to win…
Katrina Evans: Do or do not, there is no try. A wise man once told me that.
Matt Stone: Well put, I will go out there and win, and then you know what I’ll do? I’m going to rub it in everyone’s face because that’s what I do. Emily thinks that she has me cornered, saying she’ll fire anyone out there, which is why you won’t be with me, but I know someone she can’t afford to fire…
Just as Stone says that, Katrina turns to the side and beams as she sees the approaching BWF World Champion, Elizabeth Davis, heading down the hall towards the ring for her own match coming up with Kristy Jackson.
Matt Stone: Speak of the temptress, here she is now. What are you going to do Emily, fire your World Champion? I think not. You see, I’ve always been smarter than you have; I’ve always been two steps ahead of you regardless of the situation…
Elizabeth Davis: Excuse me?
The First Lady walks over to the interview and raises an eyebrow, adjusting the World Title on her shoulder to draw more attention to it.
Matt Stone: I was just saying how you could come out and help me in this match since you have immunity…
Elizabeth chuckles, shaking her head.
Elizabeth Davis: Help you? Oh sweetie, I have my own match to worry about. I’ve got a full plate taking on Kristy Jackson, I don’t have the time to worry about your troubles right now, I’m afraid you’re on your own tonight. Give me a hand?
Elizabeth hands Stone her title and turns around, gesturing for him to put the title around her waist. Stone stands there in disbelief for a moment before begrudgingly wrapping the belt around Elizabeth’s waist and tightening the straps. She smiles, turning back and kissing Stone’s cheek.
Elizabeth Davis: Thanks, good luck out there.
Davis walks off leaving Stone to scowl, having his plan shot down. Katrina just stands there in silence, not wanting to make the situation any worse.
Rayne: I think Stone just got friendzoned!
Nick Webb: I don’t know about that, but he certainly was denied his plan for tonight. Not looking good for the Straight Shooter here tonight.
The bell rings as an undefeated Kristy Jackson prepares to face off in a non-title match against the new BWF World Champion Elizabeth Davis. The two tie up in the center of the ring and Liz quickly takes control, still carrying the momentum of her big title win just seven days prior. Liz gets a two count off of a powerslam, and stays on Kristy, refusing to give the newcomer any quarter.
Nick Webb: Liz isn't giving Kristy any breathing room here.
Rayne: Of course not. She's a veteran, Nick!
Eventually, the momentum shifts, as Kristy counters an attempted DDT into a back body drop, followed up by a kick to the World Champion's face! Kristy scores a two count off the counter, and then uses the opening to put the hurt on the Champ. She very nearly puts the Champ away, too, following a Bloodline (619), netting a 2.9 count. Realizing she needs just a little bit more, Kristy heads to the top and goes for her Suicide Attack (Swanton Bomb), but Liz rolls out of the way just as Kristy lands!
Nick Webb: Jackson goes for it all and gets nothing!
Rayne: That's why Liz is the Champion! She's the best!
With renewed vigor and momentum, Liz begins making a comeback against the impressive rookie. Just moments later, however, it's all thrown out the window, as from out of nowhere, Casey Campbell appears and breaks Davis in half with the PWNED!!! The referee immediately calls for the bell as the crowd starts loudly cheering the same man they booed earlier tonight.
WINNER: Elizabeth Davis, via Disqualification
Casey motions for Kristy to leave and she does, then he kneels down and yells inaudibly at Liz. He rolls out of the ring and walks over to the timekeeper, where the BWF World Title, his spinning belt, is sitting. Casey grabs the belt and spins the center plate, then heads up the ramp with it. The referee checks on Liz as a "Ca-sey" chant grows louder.
Nick Webb: Casey Campbell just ruined his second match of the evening... and he stole Liz's World Title to boot! The fans are certainly taking this one a little better than the last one.
Rayne: How DARE he touch the First Lady of the BWF in such a fashion!? I'll skin him myself! The cur!
Nick Webb: The... what? Yes. Tell you what. Go get Casey. I'll wait here.
Rayne: He's clearly busy right now. I'm not gonna be that guy.
Nick Webb: Oh, lord.

Scorpio's Celebration
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen... please welcome your BWF International Champion... SCORPIO!!!
“Dreamwave” by Vogel hits the BlazenTron, the crowd turns into a mix of boos and cheers, the song plays for a few moments then that familiar roar of a V8 engine echoes through the arena, pulling out beside the stage, a special red convertible '78 Firebird pulls up to the stage and comes to a halt, revving the engine, the roof begins to fold back revealing the Driver, International Champion, Scorpio. With a huge smile on his face he stood up in his car, one foot on the door, he let out a tremendous victory cry as he held his title high over his head. He smirks and hops down from his car, the crowd booing him some, mostly the kids who wanted Toco to win, He made little 'boo-hoo' gestures to the booing kids and made his way down to the ring, he slid under the bottom rope and hopped up to his feet, he took the microphone from Scott Benjamin and shooed him out of the ring. The music died down.
Scorpio: Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, people of all ages, tonight is a CELEBRATION! Some things happened last week the world has been buzzing buzzing buzzing about, trying to figure out what happened, something to do with the most important title in this business today... that's right... the one your ladies want, the one your men want to be, your hero... SCORPIO retained his INTERNATIONAL TITLE.
He holds his title up for all to see, the crowd boos him loudly of course, complete arrogance.
Scorpio: But unlike some people who rest on their laurels after winning a title... I am officially throwing my name into the hat to challenge Zoe Cooper so that I can become BWF's FIRST Undisputed International Sovereign Champion!
The crowd is a little unsure what to make of his odd dream but they go for it anyway.
Scorpio: Ladies, gentlemen, boys and girls, people of all ages, today I decree that by the end of this year... I will hold or have held every title in the BWF today. By the end of this year, you'll forget the names of Casey Campbell, Elizabeth Davis, Zoe Cooper... all of them. The only name you'll need to remember is the future face of this company...
He smirks a bit.
Scorpio: Because whether I'm jerking the curtain... or closing the show!
He rushes up to the top turnbuckle, leaning out to the crowd, he shouts into the microphone.
Scorpio: EVERYONE COMES TO SEE... SCORPIO!
“Dreamwave” by Vogel hits the BlazenTron as he hops back down to the mat, holding his title high up for the world to see.
Nick Webb: Scorpio teams with Allen Chaney and James Carson to take on Matt Stone in a Handicap Match! That contest is our main event, and it is next, right after this final commercial break!
Allen Chaney, James Carson and Scorpio are all standing in the ring as “Whoa is Me” starts to play out through the arena, the Straight Shooter comes out from behind the curtain, looking at the three opponents in the ring. He certainly doesn’t look like he’s ready to enter the match, but nevertheless he makes his way down the ramp. Stone gets up the steps and into the ring, looking across at his soon to be assailants. Referee Mike Kosiboski calls for the bell and the match is underway. At the sound of the bell, Allen Chaney drops to the mat and rolls under the ropes, waving bye to his partners and starts up the ramp.
Nick Webb: Where's Chaney going? What about all that talk from Johnny about getting in Emily's good graces?
Rayne: Don't ask me. Maybe he'd rather make a statement by telling our C.E.O. he isn't some hitman for hire?
As Scorpio and Carson yell at Allen, Stone runs and jumps in the air, driving his fist square into the forehead of James. Stone connects with a back elbow to Scorpio, and then connects with a middle kick to James, grabbing his shirt and using it to toss him out of the ring through the ropes. Matt turns back to Scorpio, but is cut off with a knee lift, doubling Stone over. The International champion grabs the back of the Showman’s head and drives it square into an uncovered turnbuckle! He must have removed it during the entrances, and with no disqualification, Mike can't do anything about it.
Nick Webb: Well, the odds are a little better with Chaney gone, but Stone is still at a gross disadvantage here.
How right Nick Webb is, as the camera picks up that Stone has been busted open from the exposed metal. Scorpio gets down in a mounted position and starts reigning fists down on Stone, opening up the cut on his head further. James grabs a steel chair from ringside and slides it in the ring, following it in. Scorpio picks Matt up and whips him across towards James who lifts Stone up and drives him straight down to the mat with a spinebuster. James lifts Stone up and locks him in a front chancery, quickly flipping him over 180 degrees and dropping him straight down to the mat with The Sacrifice (Inverted DDT). Stone can’t see much through the blood that’s now dripping down his entire face, donning the proverbial Crimson mask as he starts to get up, showing the fighting spirit of a former World Champion, that is, until he turns around and is driven straight to the mat by Scorpio’s Clothesline from Hell!
Nick Webb: What a devastating clothesline there from Scorpio! Stone might be out cold!
Rayne: I can’t bring myself to count Matt out again.
Rather than go for the cover, James has an idea. He points to the chair and Scorpio nods, going over and grabbing it as Carson lifts Matt up to his feet. Scorpio rears the chair back and swings it at Stone’s head, but Matt is able to sidestep the blow and the chair connects with James’ head! Matt desperately lunges at Scorpio with his knee up and drives him straight down with the C-c-c-c-combo Breaker! The crowd groans as Stone crawls over for the cover, Mike gets down for the count but Scorpio kicks out at 2! The camera picks up Stone swearing after the kick out and he starts to get up to his feet, Scorpio getting up as well. Stone goes to hook Scorpio’s head, possibly looking for the Stone Cutter, but Scorpio twists out of it and connects with a low blow on Stone, which is perfectly legal. Scorpio elevates Stone up on his shoulder and sets him up, driving him straight to the mat with his Dreamwave (Tommy Dreamer's TommyHawk)!
Nick Webb: That was a decent comeback from Stone, but it’s over now.
Rayne: He made a good effort of it, Nick, admit that!
Scorpio rolls Stone over and hooks his outside leg, getting the 1 2 3... or at least he would have but Scorpio is pulled off at the 2 count! James Carson apparently wants to be the one to cover Stone, but Scorpio is livid at this, having the match won. Scorpio gets right into James’ face, and they exchange words before James throws a right hand, Scorpio retaliating. The two start brawling it out before Scorpio gets the upper hand, delivering a deep knee lift doubling Carson over enough to allow him to lift him up on his shoulders and setting him up, dropping James straight down to the mat with a second Dreamwave! Scorpio shakes his head as he’s back up, glaring at James, but in this moment, Stone grabs a hold of Scorpio’s tights and rolls him backwards, hooking the middle rope with his free hand as Mike is down to watch the shoulders and he gets the 1 2 3!
WINNER: Matt Stone, via Pinfall
Rayne: He did it! He did it! Matt Stone did it!
Nick Webb: He had the tights and the ropes there!
Rayne: No disqualification Nick, it’s going to stand!
Matt immediately rolls out of the ring after getting the cover, Scorpio sitting up quickly and looking down the ramp at Stone backing up, a bloody mess but a smirk on his face. Katrina rushes down the ramp and grabs Stone, helping him stand as he was close to falling over. Katrina raises Matt’s hand as the crowd can't help but cheer the unlikely victory.
Nick Webb: Somewhere, in the bowels of this arena, Emily Corlen is probably murdering a television set.
Rayne: For Matt's sake, I'd say hopefully this is the end of things, but... we all know that he's not that lucky.
Nick Webb: Regardless of what happens in the future, as far as tonight goes, Matt Stone has once again gotten one over the C.E.O. of the BWF! Folks, we're all out of time here tonight in New Orleans. For Rayne, I'm Nick Webb... good night from Monday Night Havok! We'll see you next week!
We see one final shot of Stone and Katrina celebrating Matt's win on the ramp, before Havok fades to the BWF logo, and then finally to black.
