Episode 158 - December 9, 2013
Nick Webb: Fresh off an incredibly memorable WrestleFest pay-per-view, the BWF is back on FXX with an all new episode of Havok! I'm Nick Webb, this is my colleague Rayne, and we're here in the Pan American Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico!
Rayne: Normally, this would be where we run down the card for tonight's show, then kick off the program, but... well, as you can see, somebody's already beaten us to the punch tonight.
A Blazen-Bone to Pick
Casey Campbell: HIT THE LIGHTS!
A purple spotlight shines down onto the middle of the ring where currently standing is BWF Hall of Famer the “PWNstar” Casey Campbell.
Casey Campbell: Everybody here having a good time? Looking forward to this broadcast after WrestleFest? Can’t wait to see your new Undisputed World and Tag Team Champion Elena Simonova!? Ready to see if AJ Adam’s contract is up and if he is out of the door? Will Outlaw come back and fight for his rematch and regain the Championship? Well… you guys here and watching at home are just going to have to wait.
Casey starts to pace back and forth in the ring with microphone in hand as he stares up at the entrance.
Casey Campbell: Because I’m kicking off this show and I’m not leaving this ring until Blazenwing gets his bitch ass out here so we can talk about WrestleFest!
Walking over to the ring he yells at one of the workers to bring him a chair. Then taking the chair he sets it up and sits down right in the middle of the ring.
Nick Webb: I don't think Dave is here tonight, Rayne.
Rayne: Right, he lost his job at WrestleFest. I don't imagine he'd just be sitting around backstage.
Casey Campbell: Like I said! I got all night, so Dave I know you're ashamed after losing control of the company but get your ass out here… right now!
After a few moments, music finally hits, but it isn't David Blazenwing's theme. No, it's "Radioactive" by Within Temptation... which is, of course, followed by the new sole head of BWF, Emily Corlen, walking out onto the stage. The music cuts out and Emily starts to talk, but Casey cuts her off.
Casey Campbell: I don’t care what you have to say at the moment. I’m not leaving this ring until Dave comes down and talks to me face to face!
Emily facepalms.
Emily Corlen: Casey, sweetie... Dave's not here. I promise you.
Casey gives her a look like he doesn't believe her.
Emily Corlen: You're welcome to go backstage and search for him, but you won't find him. As far as waiting out here goes, I'm not going to allow you to hold my show hostage just because you're butthurt about getting a superkick at WrestleFest. You think you're the first person Dave backstabbed? He once hit me in the back of the head. With a WRENCH. So trust me, I understand your pain. It's just not going to do you any good tonight.
Casey stands up, but still looks defiant.
Emily Corlen: Okay, here. I'll make you a deal, 'kay? I don't hold any ill will against you for trying to get me fired at WrestleFest. I'm an adult, after all, and I realize that you were simply helping out a man you thought was your friend. With that in mind... I'd like to make you an offer. In three weeks, we will be crowning the next #1 Contender to Elena Simonova's Undisputed BWF World Championship. I haven't yet decided who will be in that match, but I can tell you this; if you leave my ring now and let Havok continue? One of the spots in that match will belong to you.
Casey seems to ponder Emily's offer for a moment, and finally decides to accept it and leaves the ring. He walks up the ramp and past Emily, almost ignoring her as he makes his way backstage. Emily turns her attention back to the audience.
Emily Corlen: As long as I'm out here, I'd like to address one Mr. AJ Adams. AJ, I invited you to Havok here tonight and I got your message that you were unable to attend tonight's show due to a prior engagement. So, I'm going to make this quick, as I'm sure you'll see this at some point; I want to offer you your job back.
The crowd cheers loudly at this.
Emily Corlen: I'll go into more detail when we can talk face to face, which, I'm hoping, will be the next episode of Havok. I want to invite you to Columbus, Ohio on December 30 as my personal guest. I hope you'll attend, but if you don't, I'll take your silence as a rejection of my offer.
She straightens up and smiles.
Emily Corlen: Now, as the new C.E.O. of the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation... I hereby declare this edition of Monday Night Havok started! Stay tuned; we have a hell of a show for you all tonight!
Emily winks to the camera and turns around, disappearing behind the curtain as her music plays again.
Nick Webb: Well, there you have it! Casey Campbell has a chance to become the #1 Contender to the Undisputed World Title in two weeks on Havok!
Rayne: Perhaps more importantly, we now know what to call Emily! She is the new C.E.O. of the BWF!
Nick Webb: Stick around, we'll be back right after this break!
The bell rings and Mav charges Toco and lands a series of strikes. He follows up with a clothesline, but the big man stays on his feet. He tries a second clothesline, but Toco blocks and punches Johnny hard in the face. He grabs a reeling Mav and knees him in the gut. Toco whips his foe into the ropes and executes a back body drop. He follows with a body splash.
1!
2!
Mav gets a shoulder up. Johnny starts fighting back with punches and kick. Mav dropkicks the fat man, and he falls on the ropes. Johnny charges, but Toco catches him and tosses him out to the floor. Maverick get back in, and run the ropes. Toco catches him and performs a belly to belly suplex. Bubba splashes him again and covers.
1!
2!
Johnny kicks out again. Toco picks him, but Johnny attempts a roll up. However, Toco is too fat and he falls on Mav. He turns it into a pin, and sits on Johnny's chest ala Rikishi as the ref drops to count!
1!
2!
3!
WINNER: Toco, via Pinfall
"The Red" by Chevelle hits the BlazenTron as Toco stands up, almost surprised that he won the match that easily. He rolls out of the ring and high fives some fans at ringside, loudly proclaiming "I'm back!" before making his way up the ramp.
Nick Webb: Wow! I don't think I've ever see Johnny Maverick lose that quickly. It doesn't even feel like he tried... you think the rumors of him wanting out of his BWF contract are true?
Rayne: I have a feeling we're about to find out! Our C.E.O. is back!
"Radioactive" by Within Temptation hits and Emily again walks out onto the stage. Toco requests a high five as he passes her and she laughs before complying to a pop from the crowd. Toco heads backstage and the music cuts out as Emily holds her mic up to speak.
Emily Corlen: Johnny. You are one of my dearest friends, and as my ex-husband, there's a part of me that will always love you and hold you in a special spot in my heart. But, I've heard your unhappy grumblings ever since Brian Cade beat you at WrestleFest VII. If you really want out of your BWF contract... so be it.
Johnny still hasn't recovered in the ring, grabbing at his chest on the mat as the crowd boos.
Nick Webb: Wow, I guess that's that. Johnny's gone from BWF!
Rayne: Damn shame. I thought for sure he'd be a future Undisputed Champion.
Emily turns to walk away, but stops and twirls back on her heel.
Emily Corlen: Oh, uh, one more thing. You are still technically the #1 Contender to the BWF Tag Team Championships. Well, you and Jacob Figgins, but since he's "injured", and by injured, I mean out wrestling for other companies - yes, I get the internet, Jacob - I've decided that it's only fair you receive the Tag Team Title shot you earned fair and square before you leave the company. Wouldn't want any loose ends, you know?
Emily smiles the most fake, saccharine sweet grin she can muster.
Emily Corlen: Oh, and uh, sweetie? That match starts... right now.
The crowd gasps and Johnny is still down on the mat, trying to recover as "Emergency" by Paramore hits and both Elena Simonova and Zoe Cooper make their way onto the stage. Zoe looks reluctant to participate, but Elena grabs her by the arm and drags her down the ramp and into the ring.
The bell rings and Elena quickly covers Johnny, but gets only a two count.
Nick Webb: Somehow, Maverick's still alive, folks! Elena looks like she can't believe it!
Not one to be deterred, Elena picks up Johnny and sets him up for a Reverse Psychology (C-4), but at the last second, Johnny counters it into a small package! Elena kicks out at 2 ¾, and the crowd eats up Johnny's comeback!
Rayne: This New Mexico crowd can't believe what they're seeing, Nick! Neither can Emily! The last thing she wants is for Johnny to take BWF's Tag Titles to some other company!
Both Elena and Johnny recover and Johnny goes for a clothesline, but Elena dodges it and hits him with a neckbreaker. She moves over to the corner and tags in Zoe, who still seems reluctant to enter, but after a quick pep talk from her tag team partner, Cooper finally resolves to enter the ring. Johnny gets up and turns around in time for Zoe to catch him between the eyes with a Daniel Bryan style running knee! She covers, but Johnny kicks out at the last possible second!
Nick Webb: I can't believe this! Maverick will not die!
Elena yells out at Zoe to finish it and Zoe complies, picking up Johnny and cinching in the Z-Clamp (Dragon Sleeper with Scissors)! Johnny struggles to escape, but Zoe has him right in the center of the ring! He yells at the ref, refusing to quit, shouting out "Never give up... never surrender... never... rel... never... rele..." but we never get to hear the end of Johnny's mantra, as he goes limp in the hold and apparently passes out. The referee lifts his hand once... then twice... and finally a third time before calling for the bell.
WINNERS AND STILL BWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: Elena Simonova & Zoe Cooper, via Submission
"Emergency" by Paramore hits the BlazenTron as Zoe releases the submission and Elena helps her to her feet before handing Zoe her belts. Elena hits one corner and holds up her Tag, Havok and Crisis World Titles, while Zoe kneels down beside Johnny and looks almost to be pleadingly apologetic regarding what just went down.
Nick Webb: Johnny Maverick did not tap out, folks. Unfortunately for him, passing out still counts as a submission, and after the beating he took from Toco, Cooper's Z-Clamp was ultimately too much for the Sadistic Sex Symbol to fight back from.
Rayne: I think the important thing here is that Elena Simonova and Zoe Cooper are STILL your BWF Tag Team Champions! They're having a hell of a reign so far! Is there any team that can stop them?
Nick Webb: Your guess is as good as mine, but given the year both women have had, right now, I have to say no.
Emily, content with the finish of the Tag Team Title match, lifts the mic up to her mouth again, a fire in her eyes.
Emily Corlen: Johnathan Kennedy Fitzsimmons... you are hereby officially released from your BWF contract. I wish you the best in all of your future endeavors.
Emily smiles sweetly and heads back through the curtain as officials tend to Johnny in the ring. He starts to come to as Havok heads to commercial.
Vesper Claus is Coming to Town
Backstage, Vespertine comes around the corner wearing a skimpy Santa Outfit and hat, elf type boots and carrying a smallish bag over her shoulder. She bumps into Akoda Yang who jumps back at the sight of her.
Akoda Yang: Vespertine? What you doing? You have match very soon! Why you no dress in gear?
Vespertine: Meli Keuliseumaseu. Geuligo dangsin-eun , olhae eolin sonyeon eul gajigo mueos-eul hal su issseubnikka?
Akoda Yang: Vespertine. I'm Japanese, not Korean. I don't understand you even though we are an island apart. I would be happy to learn if you would be happy to teach.
He gives her a big flashy smile.
Vespertine: I said, "Merry Christmas. And what do you want Santa to bring you this year little boy?" That's Korean. In English, my translation would be: what in the hell do you want?
Akoda frowns at this.
Akoda Yang: Really? Those two phrases don't sound anywhere near be the same.
He brightens suddenly.
Akoda Yang: But if you are giving gifts. I would love a kiss from you.
Vespertine: And have you been a good little boy this year?
Akoda Yang: I have.
Vespertine: Ok well here it comes. Close your eyes!
He does so and puckers his lips at the same time. She grimaces at the thought of kissing him but then gives him a small peck on the forehead. He opens his eyes and smiles brightly.
Akoda Yang: WOO HOO! I get kiss from Vesper-claus!
Suddenly Toshi, his sister, comes into the shot and both of them turn to her.
Akoda Yang: Heya sis! Ms. Vesper-claus, she give me kiss because I was good boy this year. Maybe she give you one too. Were you good girl this year?
She looks Vespertine up and down and scoffs.
Toshi Yang: I hope not.
Vespertine: You're just jealous because this outfit looks better on me than it would on you.
Toshi scoffs.
Toshi Yang: As if! And hey, don't you have a match coming up? What are you doing dressed up like this?
Vespertine: Well I'm giving gifts. I'm in the giving mood this Christmas. Left one on Emily's desk. As for the fans, I have a gift for them too... the presence of me wrestling in the ring. And I even have something to give my opponent tonight.
Akoda Yang: WOW! That is nice. Something for Ursula. And what it is?
Vespertine looks over and down at him.
Vespertine: What it is?
She looks at Toshi and raises an eyebrow, and Toshi just shrugs.
Vespertine: Uh.... if you are asking me what my present is for Ursula. Well you will find that out in the ring.
She airquotes.
Vespertine: "What it is"... is a defeat. At the hands of yours truly. Moi! And afterwards a lump of coal in her stocking because she hasn't been too nice this year.
She looks over at Toshi.
Vespertine: Though you have. And the gift I want to give you is a bit X Rated.
Toshi Yang: What the -
Vespertine: I'm sorry. Did I forget to mention that I'm bisexual? By the way, surprise. I'm bisexual.
Toshi Yang: Yes! You DID forget to mention that.
Vespertine: We can talk later. But right now, the time for talking is over. The time to put up or shut up is almost here. That's right, Ursula, you have - (to Akoda) - what in Buddha's name are you doing with the microphone? Eyes up here pretty boy. And keep it up here. Mouth level.
Akoda Yang: Sorry. I didn't know you start so soon on interview.
Vespertine: I did. Level, neck high.
Akoda puts the mic there as instructed and Toshi leans against the wall and laughs silently.
Vespertine: Thank you! Now, Urs, like I said. It's put up or shut up. You have been running your mouth off about how you are the best at what you do and you tell everyone to piss off and you don't care and that you will roll right over the rest of us. But the thing is, you have very, VERY, little to show for it. I'm surprised you have gotten this far. And yet somehow, Emily got it in her head to make this a title shot match for the International Title. Why? Do you think you deserve to be the International Champion? At this point, it's besmirched by that Texan, so anyone wearing the belt after him is a step up. But, you haven't been shooting for any sort of title and since I got here, since day one, I have been. Why you get to wrestle for a #1 contender's spot to face Austin is beyond me. But it's happening tonight, and you saw my good side. Now you will see my flip side.
As she has been talking, Akoda has been steadily lowering the microphone not paying much attention to her eyes and more to her chest. She sees this, grabs his hand and the microphone and holds it up near to her mouth.
Vespertine: By the time you see, uh, Ms. Vesper-claus tonight in the ring. It will be too late. This is my night. I am going to hand you a sound defeat and I'm getting my fist raised in victory tonight. Me, myself and I will then go on to face Austin for his title. Not you, Ursula. It's not your night. It's not your week. It's not your month or even your year. Next year isn't looking too good for you either. And if you think that my defeat by both Austin and Zoe at WrestleFest means anything, all it means is that I'm that much more determined to kick your ass all over this arena and show the roster and the management and the world that I am, in fact, a dangerous woman, and I can stand toe to toe with the best this federation has to offer. What do you have to offer, Urs?
She puts a hand to her ear as if listening for something. From somewhere a bell tinkles. Akoda jumps up with joy.
Akoda Yang: It's Santa Claus! He's real! I believe. I do believe!
The camera pans around to find a bike messenger coming down the hall and as he does so, he rings the bell on his bike. The camera pans back to Vespertine and Akoda. Vespertine simply stares at him.
Akoda Yang: (seeing her stare) One can hope, can't he?
Toshi laughs and pats him on the head. Vespertine just shakes her head and looks back at the camera.
Vespertine: That's right. You have NOTHING to offer. Tonight will be just another loss in your book but a really big night for me. See you in the ring, Ursula.
She stops and looks at Toshi, then runs a hand over her arm. Toshi straightens up.
Vespertine: And like I said to you, we will talk later. My hotel room?
Akoda Yang: WOW! What a Christmas gift for you, sis! Can I join you two?
Both women suddenly stop and look at him.
Vespertine, Toshi Yang: NO!
Akoda Yang: Uh... can I watch from chair?
Vespertine: In your dreams.
Akoda Yang: Can I listen through door?
Both women scoff and go off in opposite directions. Akoda looks at the camera.
Akoda Yang: What? What did I say?
With that, the camera cuts back to the ring.
The bell rings as both Stone and Finale lock up in the center of the ring. Finale goes for a hip toss, but Stone counters into an Irish whip, following that up with a running knee to the gut. He quickly picks Finale up and lays into him with several punches, shoving him into the nearest corner. He takes a step back and charges, but Finale moves at the last second, leaving Stone to get wrapped up in the corner. He stumbles back and Finale goes for a running neckbreaker off the ropes, but Stone holds onto the nearby rope and Finale lands hard on the mat. Stone turns to him and drops down with a diving elbow off the second rope into the cover, but Finale kicks out at two.
Nick Webb: These two fought countless times in the BWF during the AoWF era, but Finale never beat Stone. Tonight, he has the chance to change that, but Stone is determined to make his mark here and won't make it easy for him.
The next few minutes, Matt Stone holds onto control of the match, despite a few attempts by Finale to wrest momentum from the Abominable Showman. He starts to make a comeback after ducking under a Go Go Gadget Foot! (Superkick), but before he can truly capitalize, Stone comes from out of nowhere with his patented C-C-C-C-Combo Breaker (Codebreaker) and drops the former BWF World Champion! He starts to cover, but pauses as a wicked grin spreads over his face!
Rayne: What's Stone got in mind here?
Without missing a beat, Stone utilizes his BAD (Being a Douche) Finisher (Matt steals his opponent's finisher) and ties Finale up into Finale's own Nevermind (Border City Stretch) submission finisher!
Nick Webb: Matt Stone is BAD!
Within moments, Finale taps out, giving Matt Stone the victory.
WINNER: Matt Stone, via Submission
"Whoa is Me" by Down With Webster plays as Matt Stone stands up, cocky as ever. He leans down to Finale and shouts "That's four! Better luck next time, chump!" before posing smugly before the booing fans.
Nick Webb: Not only does Matt Stone extend his record against Finale to 4 and 0, he beats the former Champion via submission with Finale's own finishing maneuver! Huge win for Matt Stone!
Rayne: Now THAT'S a Finale! HA!
Kelly Keagan Takes Out The Trash
Kelly Keagan is backstage for some reason, despite not being on the card. Justin and Rachel Evans walk into the room and look at her.
Rachel Evans: Hey... Kelly right?
Kelly Keagan: Yes.
Rachel Evans: Yeah, well Kelly you have something on your face.
Kelly touches her face, presumably attempting to brush whatever it is away.
Rachel Evans: Ugly.
They laugh, as Kelly glares.
Kelly Keagan: Hilarious. Almost as funny as watching you two wrestle tonight.
Justin Evans: Hey shut up bitch! The ref counted way too fast!
Kelly Keagan: You tapped out.
Rachel Evans: You’re one to talk. I bet we could kick your scrawny ass.
Kelly Keagan: Whatever, I have to go.
They block her way.
Rachel Evans: Come on skank, think you’re better than me? Prove it!
Kelly elbows Rachel in the gut and takes her down with a spinning heel kick. Justin swings at her, and she hip tosses him. Keagan walks past them, but Rachel grabs her leg. Kelly connects with an enziguri. Justin gets up and charges at the blonde, but gets a foot to the groin instead. Kelly jumps up and nails him with a knee to the skull.
Kelly Keagan: You two bitches done, or you want some more pain?
Rachel waves her off, and Kelly smiles. She hears clapping, and she sees Leo Stanton applauding.
Leo Stanton: Nice job Kelly.
Kelly Keagan: Thanks.
Leo walks up to her and pats her on the shoulder.
Leo Stanton: Hey, how about we go out and celebrate?
Kelly Keagan: Um no thanks.
Leo Stanton: Or maybe, we just go into the restroom, and get freaky?
He gropes her ass.
Kelly knees him in the junk, and DDTs him onto the hard floor.
Kelly Keagan: I’ll pass.
Akoda Yang walks over and looks confused.
Akoda: What happen here?
Kelly Keagan: Oh nothing, just taking out the trash.
Vespertine (now in her ring gear) and Ursula tie up in the center of the ring as the bell sounds. Ursula gets the early advantage, catching Vespertine with a belly to back suplex followed up by a surfboard hold. Vespertine gets out of it by flipping Ursula over her head and bounds to her feet, following this up with a dropkick to Ursula's face. She covers, but Ursula kicks out just after 1.
Nick Webb: Both women coming in hot here tonight, and that's not a pun regarding their lovely bodies.
Rayne: Suuuuure it isn't, pervert!
Nick Webb: You're calling me a pervert? You, who carries around a lock of Elizabeth Davis' hair in his wallet?
Rayne: SHUT U... I mean, I... have no idea what you're talking about. Oh, and Vespertine hits a clothesline there for a two count! Amazing action going on in the ring right now!
Minutes pass and a commercial break pops up as Vespertine and Ursula do battle all over the ring and even around ringside. At one point, Ursula has Vespertine on the ropes and goes for a spear, but Vespertine dodges, leaving Ursula to fly through the ropes and land hard on the outside! Vespertine wastes no time in exiting the ring and hoisting Ursula onto the announcer's table, before she hops onto the ring apron and bounces off the ropes, leaping back with an Asai moonsault and putting Ursula through the announcer's table with it! The crowd chants "holy shit!" as Vespertine and Ursula struggle to get to their feet and back into the ring before the ten count.
Nick Webb: WOW! Did you see that move?!
Rayne: See it? We were three feet from the impact zone, dingus! I FELT it!
Both Vespertine and Ursula make it back into the ring at 9 and simultaneously go for the kill. Ursula catches Vespertine with the Fist Of Fury (Knock Out Punch), but instead of covering, she heads up to the top! Still hurting, she takes longer than she would normally, but makes it up and leaps off with her Death From Above (Shooting Star Press transitioned into a Leg Drop in mid-air)! However, too much time has passed and Vespertine is able to dodge it, leaving Ursula to land hard in the middle of the ring. She slowly tries to get up, and Vespertine takes advantage, hitting her Suspended Silence (Osaka Street Cutter) as Ursula gets back to her feet! Vespertine covers... 1, 2, 3!
WINNER AND #1 CONTENDER TO INTERNATIONAL TITLE: Vespertine, via Pinfall
"Diamond Eyes" by Shinedown starts up as Vespertine slowly stands, soaking in her victory. Most of the crowd is cheering her tonight, given the incredible match they just witnessed. She smiles and motions for gold around her waist before heading to the corner and posing.
Nick Webb: It's official; Vespertine will face off against Austin Scott at Survival of the Sickest on January 27 for Scott's International Championship.
Rayne: She said WrestleFest was a fluke, and that in a one on one situation, she can beat both Austin and Zoe. Looks like it's put up or shut up time for the Korean beauty at Survival of the Sickest!
Coming Soon on Pay-Per-View
The bell rings and both men, former BWF World Champions, hook up and jockey for position. The bigger, stronger Brian Cade gets the early advantage, using his power to throw Outlaw around and beat on him without mercy.
Nick Webb: Brian Cade won a hellacious match against the now-released Johnny Maverick at WrestleFest VII two weeks ago - it's hard to imagine him being 100 percent right now, but if he is hurting, you wouldn't know it by watching him wrestle here tonight.
Rayne: Remember, Outlaw had his own struggles at WrestleFest. Neither one of these men is probably at full strength, but there's no offseason in pro wrestling! You just grit through the pain and keep pushing forward.
Eventually, Outlaw starts using his speed to his advantage, tying Cade up in the ropes and hitting several high impact moves all at once. He goes for the cover and gets two, but Cade powers out of the pin with force, sending Outlaw flying.
Nick Webb: Wow! Brian Cade powers out with authority!
Cade recovers from Outlaw's assault, hitting several power moves before lining up the WrestleFest VII main eventer for his Doomsday Drive (Double Arm DDT). Before he can hit the move, however, Outlaw hits Cade with a carefully hidden low blow! The fans boo as Cade stumbles back, grimacing, and Outlaw runs to the ropes. He comes back off the ropes, but before he can even react, Cade explodes from where he's standing and mows Outlaw down with a rage-filled Spear! The crowd gasps collectively as Outlaw nearly flies out of the ring from the impact. Cade scowls as he drags Outlaw back into the center of the ring and covers... 1, 2, 3, Cade is the winner!
WINNER: Brian Cade, via Pinfall
"Forever Down" by Black Label Society hits the BlazenTron and Brian Cade stands up, growling. He is still recovering from Outlaw's illegal shot, but tries his best to shake it off as he rolls out of the ring and marches up the ramp, his quarry collected for the evening.
Nick Webb: And Brian Cade wins again here tonight! Tell me, Rayne... how do you beat someone like that?
Rayne: You give him everything you have and pray it's enough. Anybody can be beaten... some are just harder to take down than others.
The Undisputed BWF World Championship Ceremony
As Havok returns from commercial, we join BWF C.E.O. Emily Corlen already in the ring. The canvas has been replaced by velvet carpet, and the ramp has been covered by the same. Behind Emily, a covered podium has been set up.
Emily Corlen: Ladies and gentlemen, at WrestleFest VII, for only the second time in BWF history, two World Championships were unified into one single, Undisputed World Title. Allow me to introduce to you the woman who will carry that honor with her for the rest of her career... my good friend... and your Undisputed BWF World Champion... Elena Simonova.
All the lights go black, low red strip lights come on to line the ramp down to the ring and "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light 'Em Up)" by Fall Out Boy begins blaring over the BlazenTron as the house lights come up. Elena Simonova can be seen, crouched low, with her back to the audience; a red and white spotlight on each side of the stage begin rotating side to side. Elena spins to face the audience while she rises, as a cascading curtain of red pyro falls behind her. She holds up her Havok and Crisis World Titles as she walks down to the ring. Elena then pulls herself up onto the ring apron, leans back on the top rope and back flips into the ring. Emily Corlen claps for her Champion as Elena makes her way around the ring, holding both titles up.
Nick Webb: Elena Simonova overcame two tremendous obstacles at WrestleFest VII named AJ Adams and Outlaw to leave Houston as the Undisputed BWF World Champion. It wasn't an easy victory, but it was an impressive one.
The music fades as Elena stops in the center of the ring and hands off both the Havok and Crisis World Titles to Emily. Emily takes them and sets them aside, smiling.
Emily Corlen: Allow me to present you, Elena, with your new Undisputed BWF World Championship belt.
Emily places a hand over the covered podium and pulls the red velvet cover up, revealing the brand new Undisputed BWF World Title!
The crowd cheers for the reveal as Elena runs her hand over the top of the new belt.
Emily Corlen: Well, go on, take it. You earned it.
Elena thinks for a moment before she leans over and talks into Emily's mic.
Elena Simonova: A Champion of my caliber shouldn't have to "pick up" her belt. Place it around my waist.
Emily seems slightly surprised.
Emily Corlen: Um, what?
Elena Simonova: You heard me. Place it. Around. My waist. Now.
Emily hesitates, but finally concedes and picks up the Championship. She straps it around Elena's waist and Elena makes her way around the ring again, showing off the new belt as the crowd boos loudly.
Nick Webb: Shades of Crisis a few months back, when Emily awarded Elena the Crisis Title.
Rayne: Just goes to show, some people never change. Wonder why Corlen even puts up with it? She IS the C.E.O., after all.
Elena mock bows to Emily and starts to leave the ring, but Emily stops her.
Emily Corlen: Ah-bup-bup-bup. Hold on just a moment, Li Li. You don't want to miss the announcement regarding your first title defense, do you?
Elena turns back to Emily, eying her warily.
Emily Corlen: In three weeks, we will crown a new #1 Contender for your Championship. That individual will face you at Survival of the Sickest. But who will get that opportunity? Casey Campbell, for one. But, who else?
Elena talks without a mic, but "I already beat Campbell, bring it on!" can be heard.
Emily Corlen: Well, that's the million dollar question, isn't it? I had a plan from the beginning, though. Tonight's matches were made with a very specific purpose in mind. Decide who deserved to get a shot at you next. None of the competitors tonight knew it, but the matches they had tonight were actually #1 Contender's Matches for the #1 Contender's Match. Not counting Vespertine and Ursula, of course, as that was a #1 Contender's Match in and of itself.
Emily pauses as she lets Elena do the math.
Emily Corlen: Now, that means that in three weeks on December 30, your Havok main event will be a Fatal 4-Way Match with an Undisputed BWF World Title shot on the line. It will be Casey Campbell versus Toco versus Matt Stone versus Brian Cade... and just to make it more interesting, that match will be contested inside of a Steel Cage.
Emily grins as the crowd cheers loudly.
Emily Corlen: One of those four men will be facing you, Elena, for your title at Survival of the Sickest. That match, as well, will have a stipulation, but I'll be making an announcement on that soon enough. For now, you are dismissed. Have a nice night, hon.
Emily winks at Elena and slaps her on the ass before exiting the ring. Elena seems suddenly concerned as she looks forward to the 4-Way on December 30.
Nick Webb: There you have it, folks! Casey Campbell, Toco, Matt Stone and Brian Cade! One of those four men will be facing Elena Simonova for the Undisputed BWF World Championship on January 27 at Survival of the Sickest! Who will it be?
Rayne: December 30 can't come fast enough! Stupid holiday break!
Nick Webb: I agree with you there; the next Havok will be a can't miss show! As for tonight's event, we're all out of time, ladies and gentlemen! Thank you very much for tuning in - we'll see you in three weeks to send 2013 off with style! Good night!
On the stage, Emily motions to the watch around her wrist and smirks, while Elena paces back and forth, staring the C.E.O. down as Havok fades to the BWF logo, then finally to black.
