Retribution - September 30, 2013
Announcer: And now, the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation, in association with the Perth Arena, presents... RETRIBUTION 2013!!!
The camera cuts from the intro to the arena in Perth, where a massive pyro show goes off on the stage. After it ends, the camera zooms around the ring, highlighting the many fans in attendance before finally settling on the BWF announce team of Nick Webb and Rayne.
Nick Webb: We are sold out in the land down under, Perth, Australia! Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to Retribution! I'm Nick Webb, alongside my colleague Rayne, and we have one hell of a show in store for you tonight!
Rayne: Four Championships are on the line tonight, along with the hopes and dreams of over a dozen competitors, but it all comes down to tonight's double main event, when AJ Adams will challenge Outlaw for the chance to hold the Havok World Title for the third time in his career, and Elena Simonova will defend the Crisis World Title for the first time against the doubly dangerous threat of Casey Campbell and Johnny Maverick!
State of the BWF Address
HOLD ON TIGHT, YOU KNOW SHE'S A LITTLE BIT DANGEROUS
"Dangerous" by Roxette hits the BlazenTron and the crowd starts cheering raucously.
Nick Webb: Sounds like we're about to be joined by the C.E.O. of the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation!
Rayne: She must be just as excited to kick off this incredible show as we are!
Indeed, Jen Corlen makes her way through the curtain with a mic and the crowd continues cheering as the music fades and she stands in the center of the stage, smiling.
Jen Corlen: Good evening, Perth! What the hell is up?!
The crowd cheers louder.
Jen Corlen: We're going to kick things off in just a moment here, but before we do, I have a few important announcements to make. First of all, allow me to apologize for the delay of this event. Unfortunately, there were scheduling conflicts and we weren't able to have the show last Monday night like we had initially planned, BUT, we're here now and we're ready to kick your asses with hot BWF action!
A loud "BEE-DUB-EFF" chant breaks out in the crowd. Jen lets it continue until it dies down.
Jen Corlen: Thank you. Secondly, I am out here to announce that as of tonight, I am officially ending the brand split I started just one month ago.
Nick Webb: What?!
The crowd boos at this a little.
Jen Corlen: It's not as bad as it sounds. As it turns out, our contract with HBO ran out and they're asking for quite a bit more money for the slot we had, so, in classic BWF fashion, I told them exactly where they could stick their 'deal'.
At this, the crowd cheers.
Jen Corlen: For the price we were paying, they were going to stick Havok at Saturday morning at 4 am! Can you believe that? Whatever. We are dropping back down to one show, Havok, which will take Crisis' time slot on FXX every other Monday night. That doesn't indicate any sort of winner between Havok and Crisis, by the way. The winner was the little man standing up to fat cat corporate greed! However, that DOES create an interesting situation regarding the makeup of the Championship scene here in BWF. That will be addressed in two weeks on Havok by myself, in addition to the futures of your Havok and Crisis General Managers.
Jen smiles at the crowd.
Jen Corlen: Finally, one last thing before we kick off tonight's event. Although I find myself in shock admitting this... I am not a fan of the way my sister handled the Elizabeth Davis situation this past week. As a result, while she is not here tonight, I have taken Liz's thoughts into account and decided that she was absolutely right about the Sovereign Title; Perth SHOULD have a Sovereign Title Match here tonight!
The crowd cheers loudly.
Jen Corlen: That's why, as of this moment, tonight's Tag Team Championship Match will ALSO be for Zoe Cooper's Sovereign Title - and if either Zoe OR Elena are defeated in tonight's match, whoever gets the victory for Ian's team will be crowned the new Sovereign Champion. And just so I don't have to listen to any complaints about this decision, that match will start... right NOW. Thank you all, have a fantastic show, and thank you for supporting the BWF! Hopefully, we'll be back in Australia soon!
Jen bows as "Dangerous" by Roxette starts playing and she heads back through the curtain. The music fades as Nick and Rayne look at one another.
Nick Webb: The brand split is over! I guess that explains why we're the only announce team out here tonight!
Rayne: And not just that; Zoe Cooper just got thrown under the bus for Emily's actions against Liz Davis! I'm glad to finally see SOMEONE around here with a sense of justice!
Nick Webb: An unannounced title defense is justice to you?
Rayne: When it's comeuppance for preventing me from seeing Liz Davis' ass, you're damn right it is!
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, the following tag team contest is scheduled for ONE fall... and it is for both the BWF Sovereign Championship and the BWF Tag Team Championships! Introducing first, they are the current and reigning Crisis World Champion and BWF Sovereign Champion... they hail from Chicago, Illinois by way of New York City and Billings Montana, respectively... weighing in tonight at a combined 255 pounds... they are ELENA SIMONOVA AND ZOE COOPER!!!
"Emergency" by Paramore hits the BlazenTron as Elena Simonova and Zoe Cooper walk out onto the stage. They hold their Championship belts up before making their way down to the ring and rolling inside. The two women point and pose as the music fades.
Scott Benjamin: And introducing their opponents... they are the current and reigning BWF Tag Team Champions... they hail from San Diego, California and London, Ontario, Canada, respectively... weighing in tonight at a combined 337 pounds... they are EMPEROR IAN AND KELLY KEAGAN!!!
The arena darkens as "Imperial March" by John Williams hits. A spotlight shines down on the BWF Tag Team Champions Emperor Ian and Kelly Keagan, along with Funk Dogg, as they walk to the ring. Funk Dogg holds the ropes open for Kelly, but Ian steps into the ring before she can, then his ladies take off his robe as he poses for the crowd and Kelly looks down at her Tag Team Title before handing it off to the referee. Ian does the same even as he looks over at Zoe and motions for another belt around his waist.
DING!
Kelly and Zoe kick things off for their teams as a loud "Ian sucks!" chant fills the Perth Arena, despite him not even being tagged into the match! They lock up, with Kelly getting sent to the ropes. Zoe catches her with a hip toss, but Kelly gets up quickly and tackles Zoe to the mat before kneeling over her and punching her repeatedly in the head. The referee pulls Kelly off as a "catfight" chant breaks out!
Nick Webb: Kelly came to work tonight! She must be eager to prove Ian wrong about her!
Zoe rolls to her feet and Kelly swings another punch at Zoe, but the Sovereign Champion ducks the attack and catches Kelly with a jawbreaker, followed up by a Roundabout (Spinning Heel Kick) before going for the cover!
1!
2!
Kickout! Kelly gets her shoulder up!
Rayne: Look at that, Ian didn't even try to break up the pin; he knows this match is in the bag! He's so cool under pressure!
Back in the ring, Zoe starts to pull Kelly to her feet, but the Tag Champion counters with a leg sweep into an attempted armbar! Zoe quickly makes it to the ropes before Kelly can clinch it in and the ref breaks it up. Zoe pulls herself up and turns, only for Kelly to catch her with a hurricanrana! Kelly rolls across the ring and tags in Ian, even though his hand isn't outstretched. He looks at her incredulously before shaking his head and entering the ring.
Nick Webb: And here comes the Emperor!
Ian goes to work on the back and arms of Zoe, kicking her several times before dropping down and applying his Serfboard (Inverted Face-lock Surfboard). The ref asks Zoe if she submits, but she refuses, and finally, Ian decides to release the hold and do more damage. He pulls Zoe up and whips her into the ropes, and then ducks down to hit Zoe with a back body drop, but Zoe sees it coming and stops short, then kicking Ian hard in the face! Ian rears back and goes for a clothesline, but Zoe dodges it by rolling and comes back with her Revolutions Per Minute (Rolling Dodge into a Spear)! The crowd pops as Zoe tags in Elena, who immediately goes to work, hoisting up Ian and hitting him with her Hammer and Sickle (Running double axe handle followed by Buzzsaw kick)! The Crisis World Champion covers!
1!
2!
Kickout! Ian gets his shoulder up and Kelly cheers on the apron.
Rayne: It's gonna take a lot more than that to keep Emperor Ian down!
Elena pulls Ian to his feet and they immediately begin trading punches, with Ian coming out on top as Elena falls to the mat. Ian smirks as he pulls Elena to her feet and lifts her, dropping her hard to the mat with a German suplex! He hooks the move and does a second, followed by a third, which he bridges for the cover.
1!
2!
Kickout! Elena breaks out of the pin and Zoe breathes a sigh of relief on the apron.
Nick Webb: I think Zoe might have just seen her Sovereign Title reign flashing before her eyes, Rayne!
Back in the ring, Ian tags in Kelly, who climbs up to the top rope. Ian moves back out to the apron as Elena slowly reaches her feet and turns around. Kelly leaps off the top rope, going for her London [Ontario] Calling (Top-Rope Missile Dropkick), but at the last second, Elena rolls out of the way, leaving Kelly to crash to the mat hard! Elena moves backwards into her corner and tags in Zoe before running across the ring and hitting the kneeling Kelly with a shining wizard! Elena points at Zoe, who jumps into the ring and waits for Kelly to rise. Funk Dogg yells for Ian to get in there and stop them, but after contemplating the situation, Ian decides instead to jump off the apron and shake his head!
Nick Webb: What in the hell is Ian doing!?
As Funk Dogg practically screams at Ian, Kelly staggers to her feet and is just coherent enough to realize that Ian has essentially abandoned her before she turns around right into Zoe's 'Coop' de Etat (Running DDT). As Elena puts herself between Ian (who still doesn't seem to care) and Kelly, Zoe covers Kelly and the referee drops down to count!
1!
2!
3!
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here are your winners as the result of a pinfall and the NEW BWF Tag Team Champions... ELENA SIMONOVA AND ZOE COOPER!!!
"Emergency" by Paramore hits the BlazenTron and Elena practically tackles her partner into a hug just as she breaks the cover on Kelly. At ringside, Funk Dogg looks distraught for Kelly and isn't sure who to stick with even as Emperor Ian walks up the ramp, his back turned on his (now former?) partner. As Elena and Zoe are handed their belts in addition to their newly-earned Tag Titles, Funk Dogg finally rolls into the ring to check on Kelly. Elena and Zoe continue to celebrate as Funk Dogg calls for the ref to check on her as well, clearly concerned for her well-being.
Nick Webb: We kick off Retribution tonight with brand new Tag Team Champions - and it's all Emperor Ian's fault!
Rayne: I think Ian just realized his star was shackled to the ground as long as he was chained to Kelly Keagan, and now that their Tag Team title reign is over, he can soar the way he deserves to!
Nick Webb: Poor Kelly, though. She didn't deserve to be abandoned by her own partner, no matter how despicable Ian is.
Rayne: Despicable? He's a GENIUS. He rode Kelly - figuratively - for as long as she was worth his time and he cut her umbilical cord the second she became a liability. Ian isn't a bastard; he's the smartest man in the BWF!
Nick Webb: He's an asshole!
Rayne: Name calling, Nick? I think that makes you the asshole.
Nick Webb: But... I... grrr. Nevermind. Ian's a jerk, Kelly got screwed tonight, yet we can't take away the accomplishment of Zoe and Elena here tonight, either. Congratulations on your victory, ladies, even if it was tainted thanks to Ian.
The Pact
Vespertine is walking down the hall, she wears designer blue jeans, black high heels, a pink baby T shirt and a brown shrug. She is pulling her luggage bag down the hall. She turns a corner and runs smack dab into Ursula who is stretching in her ring gear.
Vespertine: Hey watch it techie geek. I’m walking here and I have an important match tonight that I don’t want to-
She finally looks up and realizes it’s Ursula.
Vespertine: Oh…. It’s the gutter rat from Buenos Aires. It’s your debut tonight, and you are in the International title scene. Tell me, how the hell did you pull that off?
Ursula Areano: Well, It's pretty simple; since that very day when I came back to the Independent circuit. I have run through most in the talent on those places. But still no matter what I did management didn’t give me the break I wanted. They threw people in title hunt that didn’t even deserve it in the least.
Ursula begins to clear her throat, thinks about to times. But suddenly Ursula grows a wicked smile on her face.
Ursula Areano: That’s when I got a call from Dave; He seen the talent and skill I had in the ring. He agreed that it was total bullshit how management was treating a break out superstar. So he made me a deal to come to BWF a place where someone of my talent. But not just that he wanted a star that could bring BWF back into the lime-light again and bring a new age to this place. This is why I am here and why I am in the International title scene.
Vespertine: Yeah, that’s all great and everything but really who cares. You aren’t gonna last two seconds in that ring. I mean, you got Ashe, Apollo, and Austin to start with and IF you happen to get through them, then you got me to contend with and I’m not in a happy mood and when I’m not happy, people get hurt. You have no idea how hard I've worked my ass off to get a title shot and you just walk on in for a debut match. Does that seem right to you?
Ursula Areano: Well, that might be true; but what I had to deal with in my entire career what with being cheated out of big matches, getting picked over by guys that I beat in that very ring countless times. I could care less in this point of my career. You don’t understand being stuck in the middle card divisions for you entire career. Winning every mid-card title more than three times; even giving the nick name Queen of the Mid-cards.
Ursula begins to sigh at the thought of talking about her past in this game.
Ursula Areano: But now I am at a place where I get a fair shake and for me to become a world champion for the first time I my career. The first step is me winning this title right here and no one will stand in my way. Not Ashe, Apollo or even Austin; nobody on this roster will stop me from reigning supreme in BWF. Even if it comes down to it if you stand in my way as well; I will go through you as well.
Vespertine takes a step back and looks her up and down and smiles a slow smile spreading across her face.
Vespertine: Hmmm. That's as it should be. I'm impressed though not enough to hand you the match. I’m heading that same direction. Up the ladder of success. Too bad you have to face me tonight to find out first hand that I’m first or not at all.
She pauses.
Vespertine: You know, maybe this can work to our advantage then. If you and I can take out the guys first, then nothing can stand in our way. I think what should happen in this match is one of us should take that belt home. The guys don’t need it, in fact, the way they wrestle here, they don’t even deserve it. Make you a deal, I’ll help you out if you help me out as much as we can through the match.
Ursula thinks for a second then a smile spreads across her face.
Ursula Areano: Taking out the guys would be good for the both of us.
Ursula begins to scratch her chin.
Ursula Areano: Why not; maybe in this match we could work to together for the greater good for this place. If anyone of them gets a hold or the title it will be just a slap in the face of this company and nobody wants that at all. I accept; but just know I have my eyes on you in this match as well.
Ursula extends her hand for a hand shake. Vespertine grabs her hand to shake but before they part, she brings Ursula up close to her.
Vespertine: But know this, when they are done and it’s you and I staring across each other in the ring, then it’s every woman for herself. Then it’s time we put on a good show and show the BWF what we are really made of. All for that title.
They break.
Vespertine: Good luck tonight.
Ursula Areano: You also.
Vespertine: I intend to be the best woman winning.
She walks past her to her locker room leaving Ursula to stare at her backside.
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for ONE fall! Introducing first, he hails from Detroit, Michigan... weighing in tonight at 235 pounds... he is The Eternal... JONATHAN CAGE!!!
The sound of white noise comes over the speakers. It blast through the dead airwaves for a few moments before we hear the noise cut and over the speakers comes the familiar voice of the now famous movie villain, Jigsaw.
"Wanna play a game?"
"Forget to Remember" by Mudvayne blasts over the speakers as the fans stand up and boo the arrival of Jonathan Cage. He steps out from behind the curtain the former eWo World Champion. He stands there with his facepaint on his face and he soaks in the boos of the crowd. He then proceeds to walk down the ramp ignoring the heckling fans. He slides in and goes to the far corner. He climbs the turnbuckle then does his crucifix pose before flipping off the crowd. He drops and faces the entrance way. "Forget to Remember" fading away.
Scott Benjamin: And introducing his opponent, he hails from Parts Unknown... weighing in tonight at 204 pounds... he is THE MINSTREL!!!
As the chaotic sound of "Peacock Skeleton With Crooked Feathers" by the Blood Brothers blares over the sound system, the crowd waits in anticipation of The Minstrel. The curtain parts and the Minstrel appears out from behind the curtain on a unicycle. He wears a black jacket with coattails and his snapaway matching black dresspants. He rolls out waving his arms in the air encouraging the crowds' jeers. The Minstrel's mask is one-half the smiling, mocking Greek comedy mask, the other half the sorrowful Greek tragedy mask. His jet black hair sticks out from behind the mask and is mostly slicked back, but rather messily. He lets the unicycle come out from under him and scoops it up as he lands on his feet. He throws the unicycle over his shoulder and makes his way down to the ring - mocking the booing fans at ringside as he does so. When he reaches the ring, he tosses the unicycle to the side and slides under the bottom rope - he heads to the corner and opens his arms wide to mockingly embrace the crowd before jumping down and removing his snap away pants to reveal his wrestling shorts, which read "No Laughing Matter" across the back.
DING!
The two men circle each other. They waste no time in getting the match started as both men hook up. Neither one looks to be gaining the advantage so they break. They hook up again. Suddenly Minstrel turns and puts Cage in an arm wrench behind his back. Cage slaps his shoulder once, twice, then flips and kips up and now he has Minstrel in an arm wrench move. Cage lets go and suddenly clamps on a side headlock. Minstrel struggles to break free but to no avail. He slowly twists, puts a hand on Cage’s back, suddenly runs and pushes him towards the ropes. Cage rebounds and Minstrel attempts a clothesline but Cage ducks under it. When Cage rebounds again, he runs right into a flying shoulder block from Minstrel.
Nick Webb: Minstrel with a shoulder block! The masked enigma isn't done yet!
Minstrel is up first. He stalks over to Cage, picks him and Irish whips him towards the corner post. Cage smashes hard and turns around. Minstrel backs up and then charges attempting a corner post clothesline but at the last second Cage moves and Minstrel hits the corner post. He staggers a few steps backwards and Cage catches him and executes a German suplex which he puts into a pin.
Rayne: That could be it right there!
At 2, Minstrel kicks out albeit weakly. Cage is first up and he sets up Minstrel and executes a Dream Killer (Belly to Back Lift dropped into a Piledriver). He then quickly covers Minstrel for the three count.

3!
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner as the result of a pinfall... JONATHAN CAGE!!!
"Forget to Remember" by Mudvayne blasts over the speakers as Jonathan Cage stands up and smirks, nodding his head. The fans half boo, half cheer (mostly due to Minstrel's defeat) as Cage rolls out of the ring and heads up the ramp, content with what he's accomplished here in Perth.
Nick Webb: Cage comes off of a loss in the main event of the last Crisis with a major win here at Retribution against The Minstrel, whose stock has fallen considerably since the last time we were on pay-per-view, Rayne.
Rayne: Right? He's imploded faster than Miley Cyrus' career! HA!
Nick Webb: Let's just hope he doesn't start straddling wrecking balls with his tongue out!
Ladies' Night
The scene cuts backstage, where Don McMichael is waiting in front of a Retribution sign with a microphone in hand.
Don McMichael: Good evening, BWF fans! Right now, I'm here standing by with your new Tag-Team Champions of the BWF. Please welcome Elena Simonova and Zoe Cooper!
The camera shifts to the right to reveal the new Tag-Team Champions, each with a belt over each shoulder. Both women are still smiling over their recent victory.
Don McMichael: Ladies, right now, you are in possession of three Championship titles between the both of you. How does it feel?
Elena motions for Zoe to go ahead.
Zoe Cooper: It feels wonderful, Don! When I arrived in the BWF a month ago, I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would be leaving my first pay-per-view special in possession of two completely different title belts. I feel quite successful right now!
Don McMichael: How did you react, Zoe, to the announcement before your match that your Sovereign Title would also be on the line against Emperor Ian and Kelly Keagan?
Zoe Cooper: I had the Crisis World Champion in my corner. I wasn't worried one bit. Emperor Ian and Kelly were so busy arguing with each other, they never had a chance against our unified front.
Don McMichael: Well, congratulations to you, Zoe. As for you, Elena, with one match already down tonight, how are you feeling regarding your chances in your title defense tonight against Casey Campbell and Johnny Maverick?
Elena smirks.
Elena Simonova: Those two mouth breathers had plenty to say leading up to this match, but the time for talk is over. Now is the time for action, and history shows that neither Casey nor Johnny have what it takes to succeed against a proven entity such as myself. I'm walking in to the main event as the Crisis World Champion and I'm walking out as the Crisis World Champion. There will be no proving me wrong tonight.
Elena looks over at Zoe, who smiles happily and leans in towards the microphone.
Zoe Cooper: That's a promise.
Elena holds up her hand and Zoe high fives her before both women walk away, carrying their Tag-Team, Sovereign and Crisis World Titles with them. Don watches and nods before turning back to the camera.
Don McMichael: Ringside, back to you.
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for ONE fall! Introducing first, he hails from the Depths of Depravity... weighing in tonight at 300 pounds... he is BIOCYDE!!!
A huge explosion rattles the stage as “Corpse Within My Soul” by DL Token hits the BlazenTron. Out steps BioCyde onto the stage as the crowd begins ruthlessly jeering the masked man. He merely shakes off the boos, and then continues walking down the ramp before sliding into the ring. BioCyde rolls to his feet, and then starts throwing punches as the music fades.
Scott Benjamin: And his opponent, she hails from Multan, Punjab, Pakistan... weighing in tonight at 222 pounds... she is CIRCA ZALZA!!!
"Sleepless" by HELLTRAIN blares and fireworks go off to the rhythm of the opening guitar. Once the fireworks cease, Circa Zalza pops up ala Rey Mysterio, and begins to headbang to the music as she makes her way down to the ring. On the way to the ring, she goes to the left side of the ramp to high five fans while walking. She then moves to the right side and does the same before reaching the ring. Circa stops momentarily and stands still, then she begins to jump in her current position, she then psyches herself up and jumps from the floor to the apron and moves into the ring, stepping through the middle rope. She heads to the nearest corner and ascends to the second rope, where she points out a group of screaming fans, and takes of her shirt, revealing a black tank top underneath and tosses her shirt to a little girl in the audience. She jumps off the second rope and turns to the center of the ring.
DING!
The bell rings and Circa immediately charges at her foot and a half taller opponent, leaping up in the air and catching BioCyde off guard with an impressive headscissors takedown! She stays on her masked adversary, refusing to give up any ground despite the massive size difference. Bio scrambles away from Circa and pulls himself up in the corner, only for Circa to charge him and hit him with her Dangerous Knees (Running Kneelift to Opponent in Corner)! The crowd cheers loudly for the former United States Champion as Bio stumbles out of the corner, dazed, and Circa catches him with a running spear, cutting the big man down to size!
Nick Webb: Apparently Circa didn't get the memo about BioCyde being bigger than she is! The young Pakistani is owning her opponent right now!
Rayne: You're not wrong about that. Quick, someone get BioCyde a puppy, stat!
Circa covers BioCyde as the crowd counts along.
1!
2!
Kickout!
No, BioCyde gets his shoulder up after two! Circa stands up and taunts the masked superstar, almost daring him to try and come back at her. BioCyde slowly pulls himself to his feet and notices Circa taunting him. He charges at her and aims a Big Boot, but Circa rolls underneath the boot and when BioCyde turns himself around, Circa is waiting with a kick to the gut before she hits her Flat Liner (Twist of Fate) on him!
Nick Webb: The Flat Liner! This one's gotta be over!
Circa drops to her knees, but instead of going for the cover, she shifts her weight and drops down to lock BioCyde in her Crossface! Bio begins flailing wildly, trying to escape the move, but after struggling for several moments, he finally gives up and starts tapping out.
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner as the result of a submission... CIRCA ZALZA!!!
"Sleepless" by HELLTRAIN blares as Circa releases the hold and jumps up to celebrate. She exits the ring and high fives a few fans at ringside before loudly proclaiming "I'M BACK, BWF!"
Nick Webb: Circa Zalza putting the BWF on notice with an impressive win tonight at Retribution. Welcome back, indeed!
Rayne: Beating a washed up nobody in BioCyde is one thing. Let's see how well she fares against someone like Vespertine or Outlaw.
Nick Webb: If her last run in BWF is any indication, I think Circa is going to find a whole lot of success here - again!
Payback's a South Korean Bitch
The Minstrel comes walking through the curtain, holding his stomach and reeling from the loss at Cage’s hands. Suddenly from out of nowhere a steel baseball bat swings out and hits him on the back of the knee taking him out. It swings again and hits him on the kneecap on the other leg. He lays there groaning in pain. Vespertine comes walking into the shot, now dressed in her ring gear sans trenchcoat. She circles Minstrel and every so often strikes downward and the bat connects to his flesh with a sickening thud.
Vespertine: You thought I had forgotten, didn’t you?
She strikes down and hits his shoulder.
Vespertine: You know I don’t take too kindly to losing. And you gave me my first loss here in BWF. In fact, I guess I should also thank you for giving me that loss.
She strikes downwards again.
Vespertine: I mean if it weren’t for you, I would’ve never have discovered that I lost my fire for this and you helped light it back up. So think of this as my way of saying thank you.
She stomps on his stomach a few times. She looks around, spies a chair, goes to get it, set it up on his leg. She then takes the bat and strikes downward and you can hear the thud of steel on steel on flesh. He cries out in pain.
Vespertine: Oh did that hurt? Now how do you think I felt every night since then? Of course, for me, I feel better. So again, thank you.
She strikes the bat downward again on the leg and again we hear the impact. She goes around him and stands over his head.
Vespertine: Did you really think you were going to get away with this? I bet you were, didn’t you. I bet you thought that once you had me pinned 1 2 3, I would go away easily.
She winds up and turns the bat point downwards.
Vespertine: You thought wrong. I have been planning this for months. This is MY Retribution. This is what happens when you cross me. Don’t ever forget that.
She strikes downward and hits the area on his mask between his eyes. She squats down and leans on the bat to look at him closer.
Vespertine: I can’t do this to AJ because really he needed help to put me away. But for any superstars that think they can cross me and get away with it. Think again.
She looks down at him. Then runs a small smooth hand over his mask.
Vespertine: Hmmmm… Now let’s see what you look like under here.
She unbuckles the mask and slides it off. The camera pans up to her face and in and as she takes off the mask, she tilts her head and looks at him sideways.
Vespertine: You know. I never woulda guessed that.
She looks at the mask
Vespertine: I think this would look good on my mantle.
She gets up, shoulders the bat, hangs the mask around it and walks off. The camera pans back to the lifeless form of Minstrel and as it fades to black, the medical crew comes rushing up.
Another Short Announcement
The camera shifts backstage to the office of BWF C.E.O. Jen Corlen.
Jen Corlen: Hello again, Perth! Sorry to interrupt the show, but I have one more short announcement, this one regarding your next contest. Due to family circumstances beyond his control, Ashe Corvin will be taking time off from the BWF effective immediately.
The crowd boos a little at this announcement.
Jen Corlen: We wish Mr. Corvin the best and hope he can resolve said circumstances soon so that he can return to the BWF. In the meantime, that does mean that he will not be appearing in tonight's scheduled King of the Mountain Match for the vacant International Title. Instead of doing a four way King of the Mountain Match or trying to find a replacement for Mr. Corvin, I have decided to scrap the King of the Mountain Match entirely and turn tonight's International Title Match into a simple Fatal 4-Way Match. Good luck to the men and women competing for that historic belt tonight. That match starts now.
Jen smiles and bows her head slightly as the camera shifts back to the ring.
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, the following Fatal 4-Way Match is scheduled for ONE fall and it is for the vacant BWF International Championship! Introducing first, she hails from San Francisco, California... weighing in tonight at 115 pounds... she is VESPERTINE!!!
The sound of a Japanese flute starts out playing quietly over the loudspeakers and the lights go down. The BlazenTron comes up and we see two armies standing face to face on a battlefield. The flute continues playing and the camera on the BlazenTron gets closer to the two armies. The camera cuts scene...
The camera cuts back to a scene of two armies. The Japanese flute plays louder. Both armies are huge and they are an army of shogun, ronin, and samurai. As the army walks forward a single figure comes into view and emerges from the line. The figure raises their sword and as one the entire army stops. The figure runs forward and gets atop a boulder to look out. The camera goes over their shoulder and we see the other army standing as a wall in the distance. The figure/leader takes off their helmet and long black hair tumbles out from it and flows all around, sometimes waving and weaving in places where the wind catches it. The figure turns and looks at the army behind them and we see it is Vespertine. She raises her sword and roars in fury. Camera cuts scene and the Japanese flute stops.
The camera cuts back to scene of her army raising their own swords and shouting in fury. The camera pans back quickly and she does the motion of "forward" with her sword and the camera goes up and we see her entire army run forward to join in the fray below. The song "Diamond Eyes" by Shinedown starts up and then goes straight into the song.
Suddenly, the spotlights in the arena come up and we see a lone figure standing at the top of the ramp. One arm is raised and we see it is Vespertine and she is standing facing the entrance curtains. She spins around rather quickly and at the end of the turn she points at the audience where upon a couple of pyros go off on each side of her. She stands at the top of the ramp looking around at the audience. Then, suddenly, she reaches her hands out to them as if to encompass their souls and fire pillar pyros go off behind her. She saunters on down to the ring, stepping in time to the music. She wears black wrestling shorts, a black wrestling sports top with purple sequins which reveals her midriff and abs, black wrestling boots, her black trenchcoat duster and black sunglasses. She slides in underneath the ropes, takes off her sunglasses and looks around at various spots with a feral like look in her eyes and slightly licking her lips. We see she has heavy glitter around her eyes and a heavy dark turquoise black (or other color) eyeliner. She crawls seductively like a cat to the other side of the ring and then suddenly jumps up and spreads her arms out and lands in a "V" like pattern where upon at each corner of the ring, showers of sparks come flying out. She looks around, still with the feral look in her eyes, and takes off her trenchcoat duster and gives it to a person outside the ring and goes to sit on the turnbuckle facing the ring entrance until the match starts.
Scott Benjamin: Introducing next, being accompanied to the ring by Maria Nighthawk, he hails from Phoenix, Arizona... weighing in tonight at 280 pounds... he is APOLLO NIGHTHAWK!!!
The call of a nighthawk is heard and then "Don’t Tread on Me" by Metallica is played and then a white light is shone on the ramp, and the lights go out. Apollo Nighthawk and his wife Maria stands in the light, and holds his arm out as a nighthawk lands on his shoulder and then Apollo and Maria with the nighthawk heads down the aisle and Apollo holds his arm out and points to the turnbuckle and the nighthawk lands on it, and then he lowers the rope for Maria and they head to the center of the ring and then Apollo holds out his hands as the lights come back on.
Scott Benjamin: Introducing next, she hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina... weighing in tonight at 131 pounds... she is URSULA AREANO!!!
"Danza Kuduro" by Don Omar is heard on the sound system as Ursula Areano comes out from behind the curtain. When she gets to the ramp, shower fireworks reign down on her, as she salsas while the shower falls. She walks down the ramp with her hips moving back and forth and she is swinging her arms. She gets on the apron and enters the ring between the ropes. Or some times to will jump over the ropes and get in the ring. After that she walks over to the ropes on the right side and stands on the first rope. She then bends over and looks at the fans with a smile on her face. She then gets off the ropes and walks to one side of the ring and waits for the officials to start the match.
Scott Benjamin: And finally, he hails from Killeen, Texas... weighing in tonight at 233 pounds... he is AUSTIN SCOTT!!!
"Kick It in the Sticks" by Brantley Gilbert hits the BlazenTron and Austin Scott walks out onto the stage, pumping his fist in the air. He walks down to the ring, high fiving a few fans in attendance, before sliding into the ring and awaiting the start of the match as his music fades.
DING!
The four competitors don’t seem too shocked by the announcement that proceeded the match, each likely realizing their odds of winning just got better. Ursula and Vespertine give each other eye contact and it looks as if an unspoken bond or word passed between them. They each give slight nods of the head and suddenly whirl into action, both going after Apollo. Austin stands there shocked and both girls are doing their best to take the big man off his feet. All they succeed in doing is back him up until Ursula gets the idea of low blowing him in the groin which doubles over the big man. Austin finally realizes this is a good moment to join in, does so, and clubs Apollo over the back. He picks Apollo up and with the help of the ladders does a sit down powerbomb on him to the mat. All three cover him at the same time. The referee shrugs and starts to count.
1!
2!
At 2 and a half Vespertine and Ursula realize they can’t win that way. Both punch Austin in the head which causes him to roll off Apollo. Then the two lovely ladies start wailing away on each other. Austin sees Apollo is still down so covers him again. The referee is distracted by the two ladies until Austin shouts at him.
1!
2!
At 2 and a half again, both ladies run over and club Austin on the back causing him to break his hold. Both ladies suddenly get the idea that Austin is serious but not serious so they turn on him and back him into the corner. Ursula pins his arms to the ropes as Vespertine gets on the second rope and starts punching him in the temple. The crowd counts along as she punches him. At the 6 count, Austin fights his way out by kicking Ursula in the groin which causes her to let go. He now has use of his arms so he grabs Vespertine’s tights and takes a few steps to start a powerbomb. She grabs onto the ring ropes and as he goes for it, he can’t move as she has grabbed the ring ropes. He tries again. Nothing happens. Ursula is quick to get up, runs towards Austin and dropkicks him causing him to over the ropes to the ring floor. He lets go of Vespertine who still has a hold on the ropes. She goes over too but keeps a hold of the ring ropes.
Nick Webb: We're moments into this match and already, bodies are flying everywhere!
Ursula looks around for Apollo but he has crawled over the ring apron. She wastes no time and runs towards him and does a baseball slide drop kick into his gut which causes him to fall off the ring apron onto the arena floor below. Ursula looks around and finally sees Vespertine on the ring apron. She goes over to Vespertine, attempts to grab her but Vespertine sees her and punches out, striking Ursula in the jaw. Ursula goes forward again and again Vespertine strikes out with equal results. Ursula staggers back holding her jaw.
Rayne: These two ladies seem pretty evenly matched so far!
Before she can regain her composure, Vespertine jumps onto the ropes and does executes a perfect West Coast Pop landing on Ursula’s neck. Ursula goes down but rolls through and ends up on top of Vespertine. She hooks a leg and the referee starts the 3 count.
1!
2!
Kickout!
At 2, Vespertine kicks out. Both women are quick to get up. They look each other up and down before they decide to shake hands and then both get the idea and both start running the ropes.
Nick Webb: What are these two thinking here?
Vespertine rebounds off the ropes and attempts a flying clothesline on Ursula. Ursula ducks, Vespertine lands on her feet and when Ursula rebounds off the ropes, Vespertine attempts a savate kick to the chin but Ursula drops and does a Rey Mysterio type of roll to get around it. Vespertine follows her and attempts a roundhouse kick when she stands up but Ursula ducks again and attempts to spear Vespertine. Vespertine sees it coming and sidesteps the spear which causes Ursula to go through the ropes and land on the arena floor.
Rayne: What a spear! Ursula might have just speared herself out of this match!
Vespertine raises her arm and puts a fist up to scream out rather loudly which is followed up by the audience cheering her on. She looks around and finally spies Apollo starting to move on the opposite apron from where Austin is. Austin himself is starting to move too. She measures both competitors up and finally decides to choose Apollo. She runs the ropes, rebounds off the ropes, and when she gets to the ropes in front of Apollo, jumps onto the ropes, jumps up and all eyes and time seem to stop as she attempts to jump up and up to execute a front flip senton which causes Apollo to crash on the mat and hit his head on the barricade. Vespertine takes a few moments to rest and regain her composure.
Nick Webb: Vespertine taking a moment here to recuperate. Not a bad strategy in a match like this.
Meanwhile, Austin is up. He looks around and spies Ursula around the corner. He goes over to her as she is getting up and clubs her over the back. He then picks her up, puts her in a bear hug and rams her back into the ring apron. He looks around, picks her up and leans her against the ring post. He looks around and smirks wickedly. He winds up and fires a huge right hook… only to be met with steel!
Rayne: Broken fist, party of one!
Ursula ducked quickly out of the way as when Austin turns around, she kicks him in the mid-section. She looks around, spies a chair that the ring announcer is sitting on, goes over, grabs it and then goes back to over to Austin and winds up. She lets it fly and it connects with the ring post too as Austin managed to duck out of harm's way at the last second. Ursula holds her arms in pain. Austin, grabs her and throws her under the ring ropes. He then quickly gets in and covers her.

2!
Kickout!
At 2 and three quarters, Ursula kicks out. Austin is up first. He grabs Ursula by the hair, snapmares her over and then puts her in a chinlock. He has this wicked grin as he applies more pressure to her. She screams out in pain. Suddenly a small step ladder goes flying into the ring and lands in front of them. Then a chair does too and following that comes Vespertine. She sees the action in front of her, sets up the stepladder and sits down on it... right in front of Ursula and uses the chair to hold on to. She starts talking smack to the newcomer.
Nick Webb: Is... is Vespertine lecturing Ursula while Austin Scott has her in a submission?
Rayne: This is pretty unorthodox, even for BWF. What's her strategy here?
Ursula tries to grab on to Austin’s hair but the referee admonishes her. He asks her if she gives up and she screams out no. Suddenly Vespertine stands up, winds up and swings away, the chair connects with Austin’s head. He lets go and falls onto his back holding his head. Ursula coughs a bit from the pain. Vespertine holds a hand out to help her up. Ursula looks at the hand, then looks at Vespertine, looks at the chair and Vespertine says to her “Come on, let’s put on a show.” Ursula grabs her hand and accepts the help up. Vespertine winds up and swings but Ursula ducks under the chair shot. She runs the ropes, grabbing the foot ladder on the way by. She rebounds off the ropes, slows her momentum and stands in front of Vespertine with the foot ladder in hand waiting for Vespertine to take a shot. They slow circle each other. Austin slowly gets to his feet and when he is finally up, both women choose that moment to swing at him, Ursula low, Vespertine high. Austin gets a step ladder in the stomach and a chair on the head again. He takes a few steps forward then falls flat on his face. The women return their attention to each other. They wind up at the same time and swing at the same time, each hitting the weapon of the other. Ursula's weapon gives and Vespertine takes a second swing, knocking the Argentinian down to the mat.
Nick Webb: The lesson here, always carry a bigger boomstick!
She sets the step ladder up. Runs the ropes, rebounds, jumps on the step ladder and aims at the chair that Vespertine is holding which causes it to crash into her chest. Ursula lands on her back and Vespertine rolls on the mat holding her chest. Ursula is first up and goes over to Vespertine and puts her in the Crossing the Border (Crippler Crossface). Vespertine struggles for a few seconds then lays still. The referee puts her hand up and it falls once. He does it again and it falls twice. A third time it stays up. She grabs and claws her way across the mat and before Ursula can apply more pressure, Vespertine has grabbed the ropes. Seeing this, the referee tells Ursula to break it up. She doesn’t and he goes for the count of 5. At 4, she lets go and stands up and raises her hands to the mixed reaction of the crowd. Vespertine slowly gets up and as Ursula turns around, she springs into action, runs the ropes and executes a float over DDT. Vespertine kips up and runs to the corner post and climbs up. She sees two opponents laid out on the mat. She also sees Austin is coming too. He has rolled over and is on his back holding his stomach in pain but he is farther away from her than Ursula is. She looks at the crowd and then points to Ursula. The crowd gives a medium cheer. She points to Austin and the crowd gives a HUGE pop. She points to Ursula again and the crowd gives another medium cheer. She then points to Austin and the crowd goes wild. She lets out the biggest Melina type scream and looks around.
Rayne: Oh, Jesus Christ. That was... really unpleasant.
Nick Webb: (Loudly, while cleaning his ear out with his finger) WHAT?
She jumps up and out and hangs suspended in midair for what seems like forever before her descent downward onto Austin’s stomach. She attempts an Epically Diva (Corkscrew Shooting Star Senton) and it connects. She bounces off Austin and rolls around on the mat holding her stomach in pain. Ursula is the first to get up. She looks at Vespertine, then at Austin and then finally at Apollo who is on the ring apron trying to go over the ropes. She looks around, smiles, shrugs, and then runs the ropes opposite him and just before she connects, she jumps and executes a perfect Buenos Aires Superkick (Sweet Chin Music). Apollo doesn’t see it coming and takes it full on the jaw. He lets go of the ropes and lands backwards on the arena floor. She then runs the ropes and at the last second jumps on the rope, uses it to spring up and out and for a moment time seems to stand still and all eyes are on her as she executes Death From Above (Shooting Star Press transitioned into a Leg Drop in mid-air) and crashes onto his neck and chest. She rolls off and struggles to get up. The crowd takes this opportunity to start the chant of “Holy shit” up.
Rayne: Holy shit, indeed! That was an incredibly risky move!
Ursula is quick to get up, raise her fist in the air which draws a huge pop from the crowd in that section. She then rolls into the ring and runs over to Vespertine to cover her. The referee gets into position and starts the three count.
1!
2!
At 2, Austin grabs Ursula and drags her off of Vespertine. Then he goes to cover her. But at 1 and a half, Vespertine kicks out. Austin gets on his knees and looks around unaware that Ursula is stalking him. She runs the ropes and before he can get up, she does a freestyle Argentine Train (Elijah Express). Austin rolls on the mat holding his back in pain. Vespertine gets up and goes over to Austin but Ursula sees her coming, grabs her shoulder, spins her around and executes a Fist of Fury (Knock Out Punch) right to her jaw. Vespertine goes down hard and seems to be out cold. Ursula covers her for the pin.
1!
2!
At 2, Austin again makes the save for himself. He then grabs Ursula by the hair, picks her up, and Irish whips her into the corner. He then charges and performs a clothesline on her and when she staggers out of the corner, he performs the last half of the move which is a running bulldog. He then covers her for the pin.
1!
2!
No! Ursula kicks out at 2 and a half. Austin covers her again but at 1 and a half, Ursula kicks out.
Nick Webb: Ursula Areano will not stay down, folks! She is street tough for sure!
Austin gets up, picks Ursula up and sets her up for Law and Order. He smiles as he puts her into position and the crowd gives him a huge pop. He picks her up and slams her down to the mat with authority. He then covers her for the pin.
1!
2!
No! At 2 and a quarter, Vespertine is up and stomping on Austin’s head. She does this several times before she finally quits. She sees Ursula and covers her.
1!
2!
No! At two and a half, Ursula barely gets the shoulder up. Austin by this time is slowly getting to his feet and holding his head. Vespertine stomps on Ursula a few times, then turns around to stalk Austin. He sees her and charges attempting a short arm lariat. She ducks under her by doing a matrix type move and when he goes over, she comes back up and turns around. He turns around and she wriggles her fingers at him as if to say hello. He charges again to try a Clothesline from hell but she sides steps and performs a step over toe takedown. He lands on his face and she stalks over behind him. He slowly gets up and once he is up, she runs and clamps on and throws her weight back.
Rayne: Nice counter there!
He falls backwards and she executes a Breaking the bank (Japanese stranglehold/lungblower combo). She has his arms crossed. The referee asks him if he wants to tap and he says no. She screams in fury and applies more pressure. He growls in pain. Suddenly from out of nowhere, she is clubbed over the back and Apollo grabs her and puts her in an Elevated Double Chickenwing. He holds her there for a few minutes before he attempts a facebuster. But before he can attempt the facebuster, Austin double punches him in the jaw and the heart as Ursula clips his knee out from under him. Apollo goes down and Vespertine lands on top of him. The referee gets into position.
1!
2!
Austin and Ursula realize their mistake and jump into action, pulling Vespertine off of him at two and a half. Together, they each put an arm over their shoulders, grab her tights and perform a double suplex on her.
Rayne: So much for the pact between Vespertine and Ursula!
Austin then quickly goes to cover Apollo.
1!
2!
At 2, Ursula stomps on his head. She picks Austin up and rakes Austin’s eyes. She winds up and as Austin staggers around, Apollo is getting up and looking very mad. When Austin comes to stop, he is standing in front of Apollo but facing Ursula who is charging and attempt a Buenos Aires Superkick on Austin. Austin ducks at the last second and Ursula superkicks Apollo in the heart. He staggers backwards, lands in the ropes and goes through the ropes to the floor. Ursula turns around, right into an Austin bearhug which he uses to perform a German suplex. He then covers her for the pin.
1!
At 1, Vespertine kicks Austin in the head. Without a second thought, he is up and charging and executes a perfect spear almost breaking her in half. When they finish, she is laying on the second turnbuckle. He gets up and looks down at her, then walks across the ring, raises an arm and points at her. The crowd gives him a big pop. He then charges and attempts a running knee to the skull. At the last second, Ursula pushes him hard out of the way and he lands on the ropes. The crowd boos as he quickly turns around and gets in her face at which point she winds up and executes a Fist of Fury on him but hits his temple. He staggers back but doesn’t go down.
Nick Webb: A hard shot, but Austin Scott is still standing!
He turns back to face her and comes out swinging, hitting her with a hard right on her temple. She staggers back and attempts a double punch, one on his jaw which misses and hits his shoulder and one in the gut. He doubles over but comes up swinging and manages to give her a throat thrust. She holds her neck in pain. He gets up, grabs her spins her around and puts her in the Hangman’s neckbreaker. He then executes it and she goes down hard. He turns around and gets a modified jawbreaker courtesy of Vespertine. He goes down and goes over to climb the corner post. When she turns around to look at the carnage, she sees Apollo in the ring also surveying the damage.
Rayne: Vespertine has her sights on the Nighthawk... and I think she's moving in for the kill!
Apollo finally sees her and she attempts a top rope leg drop but he catches her and slams her to the mat in a powerbomb. He raises his fist in the air as the crowd gives him a mixed reaction and then turns around... right into a Straight Whiskey (Running Lariat) from Austin! Apollo doesn’t go down so Austin goes over, picks him up and executes a perfect Ace in the Hole (Rikishi Driver)! He covers Apollo as the referee drops to count!
Nick Webb: Ace in the Hole! Vespertine and Ursula are down!

DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner as the result of a pinfall and the NEW BWF International Champion... AUSTIN SCOTT!!!
"Kick It in the Sticks" by Brantley Gilbert hits the BlazenTron as Austin Scott stands up, his eyes wide in disbelief. The referee hands him the International Championship and he looks down at it, laughing, before he walks over to the ropes and calls out to the timekeeper. He reaches under his seat and pulls out a beer, which he tosses to Austin. Austin cracks the brew open and takes a big swig before holding the title up and shaking the beer up and down, spraying the ring with the contents of the can.
Nick Webb: Austin Scott is the new International Champion! What a victory for the newcomer!
Rayne: I really thought the winner of this match would be Vespertine or Ursula!
Nick Webb: It all came down to Austin finding the right moment to hit the right move and take advantage! Had Vespertine and Ursula not been down and out, I feel like this match could have gone on all night! What an amazing effort from all involved, and congrats to Austin Scott, your new International Champion!
#TheTrueBWFWorldChampion
Backstage we see the Havok World Champion, Outlaw, in front of a backdrop. He has the title over his shoulder and he clutches onto it. Standing beside him is Toshi Yang. She readies herself and is set to go.
Toshi Yang: With me at this time is the Havok World Champion, Outlaw. Outlaw, tonight you face AJ Adams one-on-one for the first time in your career and it’s a match that you more or less set up by making sure he won last week. Are you worried that it will backfire on you and Adams walks away with the win?
Outlaw looks over at Yang and scoffs as he talks into the microphone.
Outlaw: That’s what you’re going to ask?
He shakes his head.
Outlaw: No, I’m not worried. I know that tonight I’ll be leaving Adams in the middle of the ring a shell of the man he is and I’ll retain the Havok World Championship. The TRUE World Championship here in the BWF.
Toshi Yang: That leads me to my next question; with the brand split over what do YOU think will happen with the World Titles?
Outlaw shrugs and blows the question off like there’s no other answer.
Outlaw: Clearly the right thing to do is tell Elena that she can stop playing pretend with a title that she handed herself and that’s that. After I beat AJ tonight we’ll all see who the real champion is. You see, there’s no hashtags or catchphrases that AJ can use once we step into that ring because all that matters is who comes out on top in a wrestling match. I’ve watched AJ and I know what he brings and trust me, I’m prepared.
Outlaw grabs the microphone from her and looks into the camera.
Outlaw: Hashtag fuck your face, AJ. Hashtag I’m better than you. Hashtag the true BWF World Champion.
Outlaw drops the microphone and walks away.
Outlaw's Last Call
As we pan to a different backstage area, we see AJ Adams sitting in the locker room putting his final boot on and lacing it up. As he finishes there’s a knock at the door and he jumps up ready for anything. The door creaks open slowly and Akoda Yang peeks his head in.
Akoda Yang: Mr. AJ, may I ask few questions?
Adams signs and opens the door and waves him in.
AJ Adams: Make it quick.
Yang nods quickly and stands beside Adams.
Akoda Yang: Mr. AJ, how confident are you for the match?
Adams blinks a few times to try and gauge if he’s serious with the question.
AJ Adams: Very. I’m going to destroy Outlaw tonight. This isn’t a match of respect, this is about hate. Outlaw has something that belongs to me and I plan on taking it from him. He’s wanted this match and I’m going to make him regret that it’s happening. With or without his help at Havok I’d have won that match and now I get to show him way. It’s last call as his time as Havok World Champion.
Akoda Yang: Do you have anything you want your opponent to know?
AJ starts to smirk as he gives a nod.
AJ Adams: There sure is. Outlaw, you want to be a champion? I’m going to make you prove that you deserve it. I’m not leaving that ring without the championship around my waist. You’ll have to put me down before I ever do that. Lights out, jackass.
Akoda Yang: Thank you, Mr. AJ, and good luck.
AJ pats Yang on the shoulder and grabs a t-shirt before leaving the room.
A video package plays, showcasing how Outlaw and Adams got to this point, before the bell rings for the first of tonight's two main events to begin.
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: The following contest is scheduled for ONE fall and it is for the Havok World Championship!
"Lights Out" by P.O.D. hits the BlazenTron and the lights go dim as blue and red lights begin to search the arena. As a burst of pyro goes off, AJ Adams is seen standing on the stage looking into the ring with an intense look across his face. He stares out into the crowd as they give him a solid ovation that sort of takes him by surprise.
Nick Webb: Will you listen to that response here in Perth for AJ Adams? They seem pretty behind him as he takes the stage for the match.
Rayne: They must be AJ Adams fans here in Perth. He hasn’t gotten a reaction like this in a while.
He points to the sky and starts to head down the ramp as the fans at ringside cheer for him. Adams grabs the middle rope and jumps up to the apron and lands on his knee before slowly getting up and into the ring. He stretches his legs on the far middle rope as he rolls his neck for a few moments before his music dies down. Adams turns his attention to the stage and has a look of determination on his face, stern.
Rayne: Adams is ready for a fight.
Nick Webb: I have a feeling that the champion is going to be glad to give him one.
There’s a large surge of boos as “Sick of It” by Skillet begins to play throughout the arena as the lights flash red with spotlights pointed to the entrance. Outlaw walks out to the stage around the :15 mark with no one on his flank tonight other than the Havok World Title around his waist.
Rayne: This is the second Pay-Per-View event in a row that I won’t get to look at Kelly O’Shea.
Nick Webb: Smart move by Outlaw. He understands that AJ Adams will do anything to win this match tonight and you have to believe that O’Shea ringside would be something that he could exploit.
He looks to the side and out to the crowd as he puts a hand up and follows it by making his way to the ring. Outlaw slowly walks down the ramp with his hands on either side of the main plate of the Havok World Title. He slides under the ropes with a little jog and runs off the ropes a few times before popping up to the second turnbuckle. Outlaw takes off his leather jacket and tosses it to the floor as he pops back down and takes the title off from around his waist. He holds onto it in one hand as he and Adams stand toe to toe and begin to exchange a few words.
Nick Webb: These two men are ready to go, Rayne.
The referee gets between them and sends them to different sides of the ring.
Scott Benjamin: Introducing first, the challenger... he hails from Los Angeles, California... weighing in at 190 pounds... he is AJ ADAMS!!!
Adams jumps up to the middle of the ropes and balances as he motions for the title around his waist to the approval to many of the fans in attendance. He looks back to Outlaw and jumps back to the mat and awaits.
Scott Benjamin: And his opponent, he hails from Columbus, Ohio... weighing in tonight at 210 pounds… he is the current and reigning Havok World Champion... he is OUTLAW!!!
Outlaw holds the title over his head with both hands as he shows it off for the world to see as he ignore the boos that fill the arena. He points over to Adams and and says something that isn’t picked up by the cameras before handing the title off to the referee. The referee holds the championship up high to each side of the crowd before handing it to the timekeeper as the bell sounds.
DING!
Nick Webb: Here we go ladies and gentlemen.
The two men rush each other and the crowd roars as they exchange blows and get off to a hot start. Adams lands hard forearms to the champion and backs him into the corner. Outlaw gets his hands up to block shots to the head and Adams takes the window and swings his right leg right into the left side of Outlaw. He winds up and connects with another hard kick. Adams takes a few steps back before looking behind him and takes off for the ropes, bouncing off them and comes back hard with a hard clothesline. Outlaw staggers forward before falling face first to the mat.
Rayne: Adams coming out hard and fast to start this match.
Adams starts to pull Outlaw to his feet but takes a shot to the side as Outlaw lands the blow from his knees. He gets up and lands five consecutive right hands to Adams before sending him into the ropes, catching him with an arm drag on the return. Adams pops right to his feet and the two men lock up and battle for leverage. Outlaw applies a side headlock but Adams is quick to spin out and behind the champion, locking in a sleeper hold. Adams applies the pressure but Outlaw quickly gets Adams to the side and puts his arms around his waist and follows it up with a backdrop. The champion jumps up to his feet and casually kicks the head of Adams a few times as if to toy with him. The fans in attendance begin to boo as Outlaw just smiles.
Nick Webb: This is just totally disrespectful.
Rayne: Are you surprised?
Outlaw places his heel on the forehead of Adams before jumping up and goes to stomp but Adams rolls out of the way and to his feet. Outlaw and Adams charge each other and Adams dives with a forearm that connects. Both men are right back to their feet and at each other a moment later and Adams ducks a clothesline attempt and bounces off the ropes. Outlaw looks for a backdrop but Adams lands on his feet behind him and takes him down with a reverse DDT. Adams is right back up and quickly drops an elbow onto the chest of Outlaw. Adams is up and drops another elbow as quickly as he did getting up. The challenger hooks the leg of the champion for a pin.
1!
Quick kickout after one. Outlaw gets to his feet but is met with a hard shot that drops him to the mat but quickly gets back up. He looks for a big right hook but Adams grabs his wrist and blocks the shot. Outlaw swings around with his left and Adams seeminglessly flows behind him for a straightjacket lungblower.
Nick Webb: What a reversal by AJ Adams, hitting Outlaw with one of his own favorite moves.
Rayne: He has the champion reeling right now.
Adams doesn’t go into a cover but instead pulls Outlaw to his feet and taunts him with a few slaps to the side of the head. He locks in another side headlock and brings Outlaw to a knee. After a few moments Outlaw tries to battle out with shots to the side of Adams but Adams stands up and lets go. Outlaw rights himself and ducks under a short arm clothesline and drops Adams with a neckbreaker. Outlaw shakes and brushes himself off as he turns around and extends the arm of his opponent and stomps on where the arm and shoulder meet. Adams rolls around in pain as the champion does it once again as the referee checks on Adams.
Nick Webb: That has to be painful on the joint.
Rayne: It’s genius! Take out that arm and it’ll be almost impossible for Adams to lock in the Lights Out.
Outlaw drives his knee into the shoulder joint as Adams who is still on the mat. The champion proceeds to pull Adams over to the ropes and he climbs out of the ring. He pulls him to the corner of the ring and swings the arm towards the post as he bounces right off and the referee yells at Outlaw to get back into the ring. Outlaw grabs the arm of Adams once again and extends it out of the ring and jumps to the apron. He bounces off the middle ropes a few times and looks to stomp on the arm but Adams is able to pull it in and retreat across the ring and get to his feet. Adams massages his shoulder as Outlaw climbs back into the ring. The two men lock up and the arm and shoulder are clearly affecting Adams as Outlaw grabs it and twists it and wrenches it before pulling down on it, then driving his elbow into it. Adams backs away and holds the arm close to him. Outlaw takes a few steps towards Adams and gets a hard kick to the leg for his attempt.
Rayne: Don’t count Adams out just yet.
Adams steps forward with another hard kick that connects with the left knee of Outlaw. Outlaw drops to his right knee and Adams comes off the ropes with a running dropkick. Adams pops right back up and pulls Outlaw to his feet and whips him into the corner and charges and connects with a hard clothesline with his left arm, the good one. Outlaw staggers out and Adams follows it up with a bulldog. Outlaw rolls to his knees and Adams flips over him with an Oklahoma roll.

Kickout!
The crowd thought it was close and begins to chant for Adams. “Adams, Adams, Adams”.
Nick Webb: That kickout was a little close for comfort for the champion.
Outlaw is up and right into a Russian legsweep from Adams. Adams pulls him back up and hooks his arm for a suplex and connects but the shoulder is clearly bothering him. He hooks the tights of Outlaw pulls him back up for a second suplex and connects. Adams looks for the trifecta but lets go and rolls his shoulder out of discomfort and instead drives a knee into the gut of Outlaw. He looks for the Eat It (Fame-Asser) but Outlaw is able to lift him for a powerbomb. Adams reverses that into a headscissors takedown as the crowd eats it up.
Nick Webb: You don’t see too many hurricanranas from AJ Adams.
Rayne: Outlaw has taken away a few of Adams’ big impact moves by eliminating that shoulder.
Adams pulls Outlaw back up and lifts him for the GTS but Outlaw is able to slide behind him, landing on his feet, hooks the arm of Adams, and locks in the Harsh Punishment (Border City Stretch)!
Nick Webb: What a reversal by the champion!
Rayne: This could be it for AJ Adams.
Outlaw applies the pressure as the crowd is all over him with boos and cheering Adams on. Adams tries to get to the ropes as Outlaw yells at the referee to “ask him” and telling Adams to tap. Adams refuses as he uses his free arm to slowly pull himself to the ropes. Many moments pass until Adams can finally make it to the ropes and forces the break. Outlaw gets up and stomps on the shoulder of Adams as the referee pulls Outlaw away to allow the break. He checks on Adams who pushes him away and slides under the ropes to the outside. Outlaw looks at Adams and then the ropes and charges, springboarding off and dives to the outside with the Flying High (Springboard triangle plancha to the outside) and takes Adams out.
Rayne: Outlaw putting his body on the line with a move like that!
Nick Webb: Definitely the style that we’ve seen from Outlaw over his career.
Both men are slow to their feet but Outlaw is up first and grabs Adams before whipping him shoulder first into the steel steps. The referee begins a count to ten as Outlaw attacks Adams on the outside.

Outlaw pulls Adams back up and goes to send him into the barricade but Adams reverses it and sends Outlaw back first right into it. The crowd roars as Adams jumps to the apron and measures up Outlaw. He jumps but Outlaw goes between his legs and under the ropes. Adams lands on his feet and slides back into the ring as well. The referee stops his count as the two men lock back up and Adams pulls Outlaw into a small package.

Kickout!
Rayne: Still not enough!
Nick Webb: Outlaw is showing that he’s not going down easily here tonight but Adams is so close to putting this thing away.
Adams calls for the Lights Out (Tazmission) as the fans are in support and Outlaw slowly gets to his feet. Adams tries to lock it in as Outlaw tries to fight it but eventually Adams gets it locked in. The fans are going crazy but the more Outlaw struggles the harder it is for Adams to keep it locked in, his shoulder in pain. Outlaw is able to finally spin out and goes off the far ropes. Adams lifts him for a side slam but Outlaw turns it into the Unlawful DDT (Tilt-a-Whirl DDT [John Morrison])! He hooks the leg of Adams as the referee gets into position.

Kickout!
Outlaw can’t believe it.
Nick Webb: No! Adams kicks out at the last possible moment and Outlaw is beside himself.
Rayne: I thought it was all over there.
Outlaw pulls Adams to his knees and puts his knee into the back of his shoulder and pulls backwards on his arm. Adams is in pain but eventually is able to spins away from Outlaw. Outlaw takes a big step towards Adams but Adams connects with the Last Call (Codebreaker) out of nowhere as the crowd jumps to their feet. Adams and Outlaw are sprawled out in the middle of the ring.
Rayne: Did he just hit the Last Call using one hand?
Nick Webb: I think he did! I don’t know how much that’ll affect what happened because Outlaw looks out cold. Come on, AJ!
Adams crawls over to Outlaw and pulls his leg up and covers.

2!
Kickout!
Adams lays face first on the mat and just shakes his head.
Rayne: Do you think if Adams had been able to drive Outlaw’s head into his knees with both hands we’d have a new champion right now?
Nick Webb: Quite possibly.
Adams crawls over to the corner and sits against it as Outlaw uses the ropes to pull himself up. Adams pulls himself up with one hand as Outlaw tries to charge and gets a boot to the face for his efforts. Outlaw staggers backwards and spins back around. Adams charges and runs right into the Lock-Out (Black Hole Slam) and both men are once again sprawled out. Outlaw takes a moment to get up and heads towards the corner and climbs up slowly. He is squatted on the top ropes as he stands and dives, connecting with the It Came From Above II (Frog Splash). He hooks the leg and looks for the win.

Adams’ leg is on the bottom rope.
Rayne: These two men just won’t quit.
Outlaw looks frustrated as he puts his hands behind his head and then throws them up in the air as he stands. He looks at Adams and then starts to head back towards the turnbuckle and starts the climb. Adams is there to push his footing out from under him as he splits on the top turnbuckle facing the ring. Adams starts to climbs up after him. Adams looks for a superplex but Outlaw fights out with a few shots to the gut and stands up. He starts to set Adams up in a powerbomb position as the crowd is stirring, anticipating what might happen.
Nick Webb: Rayne, you don’t think…
Before Nick Webb can finish Outlaw flips over and connects with the Breaking the Law (Canadian Destroyer) as the crowd is in awe. “Holy-shit” breaks out throughout Perth Arena as both men are down.
Nick Webb: No! Adams’ head just bounced right off the mat.
Rayne: Outlaw did that to Gabe Shelley at Legacy X and he couldn’t stand, let alone kick out of a pin attempt. If Outlaw can get over to Adams this is over.
Outlaw rolls over and sits up with a smile on his face as he looks over at the fallen Adams. He stands and drags him into the middle of the ring. He lets out an animalistic scream and locks in the Harsh Punishment and Adams is just out cold.
Nick Webb: Someone stop this! Outlaw is just trying to destroy Adams at this point.
The referee checks on Adams and immediately calls for the bell.
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Here is your winner as the result of a referee's decision and STILL Havok World Champion... OUTLAW!!!
Outlaw keeps the hold locked in as he screams and the crowd boos loudly. Security rushes the ring and tries to pull Outlaw who finally lets go and stands, grabbing the Havok World Title from the referee and jumps to the middle turnbuckle with a smile.
Nick Webb: AJ Adams is still out cold. He hasn’t moved since taking that Breaking the Law off the top rope.
Outlaw jumps to the apron and holds the title high for all to see as the EMTs rush the ring to check on Adams. He looks back with a sadistic smile on his face and jumps to the floor. He looks under the ring and pulls out a chair and slides back into the ring and drops the title. Security tries to keep Outlaw back but he swings the chair and clears everyone out of the ring.
Nick Webb: Come on! That’s enough!
Rayne: Outlaw sending a message to AJ Adams and the rest of the BWF locker room.
Outlaw drives the the chair top first into the shoulder of Adams who withers and screams in pain. He places Adams’ arm into the chair and stomps on it twice as Adams rolls around the ring grabbing at his shoulder. Outlaw pulls Adams to his knees and tells him that he’s in “his ring” and flips Adams over for another Breaking the Law. Adams rolls across the ring and EMTs jump back into the ring and cover themselves over him as Outlaw grabs the title and stands over them for a few moments before heading to the back.

International Beer Bash
We pan to the backstage area where loud celebrations can be heard until we see the new International Champion Austin Scott more or less partying with a group of fans. He’s spraying beer everywhere with the title around his waist, still in his wrestling gear and cowboy hat. Don McMichael comes into the camera view and puts his hand on Scott.
Don McMichael: Austin, you did it. How do you feel right now?
Austin Scott “woo’s” as the fans in the arena cheer for him as he leans into the microphone.
Austin Scott: I know this ain’t the World Championship or nothin’ like that but, boy, I’m on top of the world right now, Donny. You take a kid from Texas with a dream to become a professional wrestler for a worldwide company and I did that. If you were to tell me a month ago I’d have this chance, well I’d tell ya you were nuts. I have a long way to go to prove myself as a somebody but this is a damn good start!
A few of the fans around him cheer him on, most soaked in beer from the celebration.
Don McMichael: So what’s next?
Austin Scott: Well we’re gonna party! Then we’ll go and keep fightin’ and defend this championship a few times. Sky’s the limit! There’s a new sheriff in town and he’s the International Champion!
Scott grabs a beer and shakes it up and opens it, it explodes in the face of Don McMichael and he laughs. Don’s a good sport as the celebration continues.
A video package plays, showcasing the journey of Elena Simonova from Sovereign Champion to BWF World Champion to Crisis World Champion, followed by the returns of Casey Campbell and Johnny Maverick to the BWF and the circumstances that led all three parties to tonight's main event match. The package ends and the crowd is hyped up as the bell rings.
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: The following contest is your Retribution 2013 main event... it is a Triple Threat Match scheduled for ONE fall... and it is for the Crisis World Championship!
The lights go out as cameras start to flash. The bridge from “Berzerk” by Eminem begins to play and loops through twice as a spotlight shines down on a DJ and a man that appears to actually be Eminem.
Now this shit's about to kick off, this party looks wack
Let's take it back to straight hip-hop and start it from scratch
The lights have come up and purple smoke starts to fill the stage. An arrangement of fireworks go off near the entrance as a hulking silhouette is shown and coming from the smoke is Casey Campbell ready for action. He stands at the top of the stage and looks over towards the side stage and flexes for all to see and all that see are mainly booing the PWNStar. A few women in the crowd can be heard screaming for Campbell as he walks over to Eminem and the two men bump fists as he goes into the hook.
We're gonna rock this house until we knock it down
So turn the volume loud, cause it's mayhem 'til the a.m.
Nick Webb: Casey Campbell hamming it up for the camera and the crowd here tonight.
Rayne: Fun fact; Casey is not the only person to make his way to the ring with someone signing a theme live. The last? Casey’s buddy outside the ring and BWF Hall member Gabe Shelley.
Campbell takes his time walking down the ring and makes sure to stop in front of a few of his fans so the camera can get a good view of him posing in front of them. He says “put that on the website” loud enough for the camera to pick it up. He climbs up the steel steps and gets into the ring.
Ain't slowin' down, throw in the towel, t-t-towel towel
Dumb it down, I don't know how, how, how, how
At least I know that I don't know
Question is are you bozos smart enough to feel stupid
Casey flexes in the middle of the ring as the music begins to die down. The harmonica driven opening of "D.C. Sound Attack!" by Clutch plays throughout the arena as the crowd switches to cheers.
The optics of it are not important.
The public don't give a damn.
I see you're in need of consultation now.
Johnny Maverick hits the stage with a lot of energy and pumps his fists to the sides a few times as he throws one out to the fans. They respond well as he stares down Casey Campbell in the ring. He starts to make his way down the ring and gives fans at ringside a few high fives.
Rayne: Boy, don’t the fans love Johnny Maverick?
Nick Webb: I think when you look at who is competing in this match he may be the fan favorite.
Rayne: If he wins tonight it’ll be his third World Championship. Campbell could grab his second here tonight.
D.C. Sound Attack!
Let the rhythm hit 'em!
Maverick is on the apron and throws his hands out as we get to;
D.C. Sound Attack!
Drop the bomb! Look out!
After “Look Out” a set of fireworks go off around the BlazenTron and Maverick jumps into the ring and starts to jump around it and warm up and adjusts his MMA gloves and pops in his mouthpiece. The crowd eats it up only up until “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light ‘Em Up)" by Fall Out Boy hits and plays throughout the arena.
Oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa.
Oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa, oh, oh, whoa.
The music stops as the lights go out for a few moments. The arena turns red after a large burst of pyro fills the stage and the song ques back up.
So light 'em up, up, up
Light 'em up, up, up
Light 'em up, up, up
I'm on fire
Elena Simonova is crouched on a knee on the middle of the stage with the Crisis World Championship around her waist, her back to the crowd. Red and white lights begin to spin and search around the arena as she stands, spinning to the ring, and a cascade of red pyro falls behind her.
Rayne: Here comes Red!
Nick Webb: This is a chance for Elena Simonova to prove that when she more or less handed herself the Crisis World Championship that she deserved it. Beating both Maverick and Campbell could do that.
Rayne: She beat AJ Adams in the main event of Legacy X to win the World Title and had it robbed while she was semi unconscious in an unscheduled match minutes later! She ALREADY earned it, Nick! All Emily did was return Elena's rightful property to her!
Writers keep writing what they write
Somewhere another pretty vein just died
I've got the scars from tomorrow and I wish you could see
That you’re the antidote to everything except for me, me
Elena makes her way down the ramp to a mixture of cheers and boos, the boos a bit stronger than they were for Casey Campbell. She blows past everyone on the ramp and jumps to the apron and takes the title off from her waist. She leans her back against the ropes and flips back and into the ring. She poses with the championship until the music dies down and all three participants are waiting the bell.
Scott Benjamin: Introducing first, the challengers… he hails from Skymont, Tennessee... weighing in tonight at 260 pounds... he is the PWNstar... he is CASEY CAMPBELL!!!
The crowd gives Casey a nice mixed reaction as he’s standing on the bottom rope, one leg on the second, and throws up a Mr. Universe pose. He looks around the arena as he flexes once again and adjusts his boots as he turns back to the middle of the ring.
Scott Benjamin: Next, he hails from Washington D.C.... weighing in tonight at 200 pounds... he is the Sadistic Sex Symbol... he is JOHNNY MAVERICK!!!
Maverick knocks his fists together a few times and jumps and spins around as if he were a boxer ready to fight. He points out to the crowd as the cheer him on and a “Johnny! Johnny!” chant sparks in the arena.
Scott Benjamin: And finally, she is the current and reigning Crisis World Champion... she hails from Chicago, Illinois by way of New York City... weighing in tonight at 115 pounds... she is ELENA SIMONOVA!!!
Elena holds the championship high above her head as the fans give her a burst of boos and she ignores them. She goes to hand the title off to the referee and as she does she turns and rushes Campbell and attacks with a flurry of lefts and rights.
DING!
The bell sounds as the match starts and Elena is all over Campbell with speed kicks and punches. She sends him across the ring and into the corner and throws a backhand at Johnny Maverick. Maverick takes the shot but comes right back with a hard left and a right haymaker. He backs Elena into a corner and quickly moves as he sense Campbell charging. Campbell lands a big splash on Elena however and he turns back to the middle of the ring and eats a lunging clothesline.
Nick Webb: This match is already all over the place but Maverick is getting the early upper hand on his opponents.
Rayne: And the fans are loving it.
That they are as they cheer for Maverick pulls Campbell back to his feet and he locks him in a sleeper hold. Casey falls to a knee as Maverick has it locked in but Campbell stands up and puts Johnny on his back. He lifts him up and is able to grab Johnny’s legs as if he’s giving him a piggyback ride. Campbell takes a few steps forward and jumps up, leans backwards, and crashes onto the back of Maverick and the crowd seems shocked.
Rayne: What power by Casey Campbell.
Campbell seems proud of himself until he turns around and Elena comes flying off the top rope for a hurricanrana. The champion jumps to her feet and looks at the two downed men and pulls Maverick to his feet. The two lock up and battle for leverage until Maverick gets taken down with a drop toe hold. Elena applies a leg lock on Maverick in the middle of the ring for a few moments before driving an elbow into the side of his leg as she drops to the mat. She stands and goes for another but Campbell comes charging with a clothesline that knocks her on her back. He comes off the ropes as both Maverick and Elena get to their feet and takes them down with a double shoulder block. They both pop back up and here comes Campbell and takes them down with a double clothesline. He pulls them both up and kicks each in the gut and follows it up with a double suplex as the crowd seems impressed.
Nick Webb: Casey Campbell really holding his own right now.
He dives into a cover on Elena and hooks the leg.

Casey turns and dives into a cover on Maverick.

Kickout!
Routine kickouts for both Elena and Maverick right at two and Campbell starts to pull Maverick to his feet. Maverick breaks away and jumps up and comes down with a hard punch to Campbell. Casey is rocked as he spins and leans down. Maverick jumps up again and hits the Tony Jaa (Jumping Knee Strike to Face).
Rayne: Right in the money maker.
Nick Webb: Those strikes from Maverick are hard and fierce. A few of those and he could break someone’s nose.
Elena has gotten back to her feet and comes off the ropes and drops Maverick with a double axe handle. He slides back to his feet and she’s ready with another. Maverick is up again and Elena drops him with a Polish hammer. Maverick hits the mat hard as his neck and head bounce and he rolls to his stomach. He lifts himself to his knees and Elena finishes up the Hammer and Sickle (Axe handle and buzzsaw kick). She turns just as Campbell is starting to get up and extends her leg high and out and drops him right back down with a stiff kick to the jaw.
Rayne: Woah! Did you see the extension on that?
Nick Webb: Casey Campbell is seeing stars after that one.
Elena begins to climb the ropes and makes it to the top and looks behind her. She measures up Johnny Maverick and looks for a moonsault. She flips as he rolls out of the way but she’s able to tuck and land on her feet. Maverick spins into the corner and Elena is right there with a splash. She backs up and readies herself for another but as she turns she’s dropped with the OF!MY! (Running Shotei). Campbell is back to his feet as Maverick is ready for him and locks him in for a German suplex and connects. He locks his hands and pulls Campbell right back up and connects with a second. Maverick pulls Casey back up but this time puts him in a full nelson and connects with a dragon suplex, bridges and looks for a pin and finishes up the Maverick Special.

Elena is there and breaks it up.
Nick Webb: The Champion’s disadvantage is that she doesn’t need to be pinned or submit to lose the championship.
Elena grabs Maverick and locks in a front face lock until Maverick drives her back first into the corner. He begins to strike with lefts and rights, slowly and calculated shots to the sides of the champion. Maverick drives an elbow into the side of Elena’s head and tosses her to the mat with a hip toss. He steps away from the corner and drops a leg across her chest. Johnny gets back to his feet and meets Casey who is back to his. He takes another punch to the face by Maverick but comes right back with one of his own. Casey locks up with Maverick and is able to get behind him and gives him a headbutt. Casey delivers a kick to the back of the knee of Maverick which makes him lose his balance and fall to the other knee. Campbell uses the positioning to lock Maverick into a dragon sleeper right in the middle of the ring.
Nick Webb: Casey looks like he’s going to pop Johnny’s head right off his head.
Rayne: Is Johnny going to tap!?
Maverick lands a couple hard wild punches to Campbell but he refuses to let go. Elena comes flying out of nowhere with a springboard side kick to the chest of Campbell. Campbell hits the mat and rolls backwards and to his knees. Elena steps up with a shining wizard with a kick that echoes throughout the arena as the fans let out a big “Ooooooh”. The champion gets to her feet and grabs Maverick and drives an elbow into the back of his head. Maverick pushes her away after falling to a knee, Elena coming at him again quickly but Maverick picks up her for a side slam. She flips around and locks in a modified Iron Curtain (Octopus Stretch, this more of a Octopus Hold [AJ Lee]) as the crowd is going crazy.
Rayne: This might be it!
Nick Webb: She has it locked on right in the middle of the ring and Maverick is helpless to do anything.
Maverick does everything he can do to just stay on his feet and tries to keep his balance as he takes small steps towards the ropes. Campbell comes exploding from the ropes and hits the exposed gut of Maverick with a PWN! (Spear) that sends Maverick backwards and falling on top of Elena. Casey looks to cover Maverick and hooks the leg casually.

2!
Kickout!
Nick Webb: No! Casey thought he had that won.
Rayne: He didn’t seem to hook that leg quite enough.
Maverick starts to pull himself up as Campbell gives pushes him back down to the mat face first with his foot. Campbell straddles Maverick and looks as if he’s about to lock in the Campbell Clutch (Crouching Cobra Clutch) but Elena comes off the ropes and hits another shining wizard on Campbell. Elena goes for the pin attempt on Campbell.

2!
Maverick breaks up the attempt with a last second lunge. Elena hits the mat with her fists a few times as the crowd is really into the action.
Nick Webb: That may have been it had Maverick not broken it up.
Elena gets to her feet and Maverick isn’t too far behind and the two lock back up. Maverick drives a knee into her gut and then lifting knee to her face knocks her backward to the mat. She tries to pop back up and Maverick lifts her for a torture rack as Elena tries to battle out. She lands a hard elbow to the side of his head and Maverick takes it and connects with the Welcome to D.C. (Reverse GTS) as the crowd erupts. He makes the cover and hooks the leg.

Casey pulls Maverick off by his foot and quickly pulls him up to his feet and dumps him over the top rope. Maverick crashes to the floor hard as Campbell dives into a cover on Elena.

Kickout!
Nick Webb: That’s twice now that Casey thought he won.
Rayne: No! Casey THINKS he won!
Campbell jumps up and throws his hands in the air and asks where his belt is. The referee tells him that it was only two and Campbell shakes his head no and says it was three. Casey demands the title but the referee again tells him it was only two as Elena begins to stir to her knees. Campbell begins to walk over to her as he calls for the Campbell Clutch but gets spun around by Maverick who has re-entered the ring. He kicks Campbell in the gut and connects with the Perfecter Armbar (Butterfly Suplex into Cross Armbar). Campbell tries to fight out and reach for the ropes but is just out of reach. Maverick applies more pressure and yells at Campbell to tap. Campbell is inches away from the ropes and scoots ever so closer. Maverick leverages for more pressure and Campbell can’t do it and looks as if he’s about to tap.
Rayne: I think Johnny has it.
Elena comes off the top rope with a somersault leg drop right onto Maverick that breaks the hold.
Nick Webb: Oh my god!
All three competitors are sprawled out in the middle of the ring as the referee assess the damage. Campbell is holding his shoulder but seems okay, Maverick seems shaken by the leg drop, and Elena may have tweaked her back when she landed. She’s the first to start to stand and tries to stretch her back out as Campbell is to his feet as well. She grabs Casey and whips him into the corner. Elena walks around the ring trying to work out her back before charging at Casey and connects with the 200 Proof (Lifting knee strike into a monkey flip). Campbell flips over and crashes to the mat hard. Elena is back to her feet and is grabbed from behind by Johnny Maverick. He plants Elena with a forward Russian legsweep. Elena’s face hits the mat hard and Johnny pops back to his feet.
Nick Webb: That looked like it had to hurt.
Maverick pulls the champion to her feet and gets behind her. He hooks his arms and connects with a German suplex and pulls her right back up slowly and hits a second.
Nick Webb: That has to be effective if Elena Simonova’s back is hurt right now.
Maverick pulls her up and looks to complete the Maverick Special but Elena struggles and breaks away. She hits an elbow to the side of Maverick’s head and looks to set up for a stunner but instead flows up and behind and connects with an Asai DDT as the crowd loves it. She’s back up and Campbell looks for a PWN! but Elena jumps over him. He turns around and eats a hard buzzsaw kick to the side of the head. He staggers backwards and into the corner as Elena pulls Maverick to his feet. Maverick pushes her away and turns to walk right into a PWN! from Campbell. Maverick goes into the mat hard and rolls out of the ring and crashes to the floor below.
Rayne: Campbell from out of nowhere!
Casey sends Elena into the corner and charges but eats a boot to the jaw. Elena goes to the apron but Campbell hits a forearm and suplexes her back into the ring. Casey looks at the turnbuckle and slowly starts to climb it. He stops at the second rung and removes his elbow pad and tosses it into the crowd and makes his way to the top. He turns and Elena springboards up and blasts him with another kick to the side of the head. She hurries to the top rope and grabs Campbell as the crowd stirs and starts to roar. She flips backwards and hits the Reverse Psychology (C-4) off the top rope! She hooks Casey’s leg as Maverick is trying to pull himself into the ring.

Maverick is halfway in the ring and can’t make it in time and lays face first on the mat as he knows he didn’t make it.
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner as the result of a pinfall and STILL Crisis World Champion… ELENA SIMONOVA!!!
Nick Webb: Each competitor pulled out all the stops but Elena Simonova proves herself as Crisis World Champion here tonight.
Rayne: Johnny Maverick was inches away from breaking that up too.
Nick Webb: Anyone could have won this match! Wow! What a main event!
Elena slowly gets to her feet and holds her back as the referee hands her the championship, along with her Tag Team Title, and she slings them both over her shoulders. She leans against the ropes as Maverick has made his way to the corner and looks over at Elena and says "it’s not over" and she just smiles. "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light ‘Em Up)" by Fall Out Boy plays throughout the arena as she holds the Crisis World title high to the displeasure of the fans.
Nick Webb: Well, that's that for another exciting edition of BWF Retribution!
