Episode 152 - August 12, 2013
Nick Webb: We are live in London, England! Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Monday Night Havok!
Rayne: We're fresh off of an incredible, yet highly controversial tenth anniversary celebration with Legacy X! We have new Tag Team Champions, a new Sovereign Champion and a new BWF World Champion, and they'll all be in action here tonight!
Shelley Speaks Up
“In Fate’s Hands” by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus echoes throughout the arena as the fans jump to their feet and cheer for the incoming star. Gabe Shelley steps out onto the stage to the roar of the crowd in his wrestling trunks and a t-shirt. He points out to the crowd and makes his way down the ramp and climbs into the ring. He leans over the ropes nearest to the announce table as Scott Benjamin tosses him a microphone as the music starts to die down.
Gabe Shelley: Now while I may not be a contracted BWF wrestler I pulled some strings and got some time here tonight. I made the trip across the pond because I was a part of Legacy X and there were a lot of questions left unanswered after the show, starting with David Blazenwing.
The crowd starts to boo.
Gabe Shelley: Dave’s gone on another power trip and in some twisted way he thinks he’s doing the right thing. People are going to be lining up to stop him just because it’s Dave. He’s gone off and gotten himself a few guys to lead some sort of charge and at the helm of that group is Outlaw.
We get another round of boos as Shelley paces the ring.
Gabe Shelley: The same guy a lot of you have cheered for turned his back on you. That’s something that doesn’t sit very well with me. That isn’t the man that I know Outlaw to be. I know that eventually Outlaw is going to get what’s coming to him just like it will for Dave.
Shelley leans against the ropes.
Gabe Shelley: As you see I’m dressed for action and I’m ready for a fight. I have some unfinished business with someone from Legacy X and would love to-
He’s cut off as “Pain” by Jimmy Eats World plays and we see David Blazenwing start to come from behind the curtain, speaking into a microphone and cutting off his music.
David Blazenwing: Well I think you said it best, Gabriel.
The fans give Dave a piece of their mind as he steps onto the stage with a few security guards.
David Blazenwing: You aren’t a contracted BWF wrestler so anything you might have planned doesn’t matter. Your time here in BWF has come and gone, you made that clear. So technically right now you’re trespassing by being in that ring. Boys?
The security guards start to head to the ring as Shelley drops his microphone and shakes his head. He drops to the mat and rolls out of the ring as one of the guards takes him by the arms and leads him up the ramp. The fans dislike what’s happening as Blazenwing says something to Shelley as they lead him to the back.
After a quick match, Salem Croft makes his official in-ring debut with BWF a successful one, defeating Lacey Vonricht with little effort and pinning her following his Guillotine DDT (Fireman's Carry DDT).
Winner: Salem Croft, via Pinfall
Following the match, Croft leans down and places two pennies over the eyes of the fallen Lacey - his 'two cents' - before leaving the ring, triumphant.
V - Want - Title - Match
The camera cuts to a shot of David Blazenwing sitting at his desk, X is standing beside him looking over his shoulder. The two are in deep discussion over something. There is a knock on the door, it swings open and in comes Vespertine dressed in a black tank top, a purple pleated mini skirt, and black high heels. She sees the chair across from them and sits on it. She looks around disgusted.
Vespertine: Wow, this chair is hard.
She switches positions and sits cross wise, she drapes her legs over the arms of the chair. She wriggles around until she gets comfortable.
Vespertine: You two really need new furniture in this office.
David raises an eyebrow.
David Blazenwing: Who are you?
Vespertine: Like, OMG! I totally forgot to intro myself. I’m Kimber. Ring name is Vespertine. I usually go by Vespertine. I’m in here because I want to throw my hat into the ring. Or no wait… is it my name into the hat into the ring. Or is it my name in the ring.
X: Dave, you hire weird people.
David Blazenwing: I didn't hire her. Blame Emily.
David sighs and leans back in his chair, steeples his fingers together and looks at her.
David Blazenwing: Ok, we were in the middle of discussing important business. What is this… less important thing you have to say?
Vespertine: Oh don’t be so grumpy. Sad face. Anyway, I want to a shot at the Chaos Theory Championship.
X, who was at this point taking a sip of coffee from his cup, sputters and spits it out. David leans back so he doesn’t get coffee on him.
David Blazenwing: Dude, not cool!
He turns his attention back to Vespertine.
David Blazenwing: Did I hear you correctly? You. Want a shot. At the Chaos Theory Title. You?
Vespertine: Yes, me. What’s wrong with me?
David Blazenwing: Okay. Obviously, yes, I know who you are. I also know you sit at a rather unimpressive 1 and 1 right now. You won your debut match, and you lost at Legacy X. The Chaos Theory Title... it's an extreme type of title defended anywhere and everywhere, 24/7. Not for the faint of heart.
Vespertine: Good. My kind of title.
David Blazenwing: What makes you qualified to hold it?
Vespertine: Hello! Ring skillset: high flyer/lucha libre. Five time UWF Extreme champion. Two time WCW Western Championship Wrestling Hardcore Champion, two time Light Heavyweight VCW champion. My mentor was Nightelf. She’s retired but she taught me Muay Thai and how to be extreme.
David Blazenwing: Night Elf? Like... World of Warcraft Night Elf? Oy.
Vespertine: Look, you, or rather Emily, said to me, when I signed up, a woman, being me, could go for any title she so chose. So, that being said, while the BWF World Title is currently unavailable to me and the Sovereign Title is too, I want to make my mark here in BWF and be the first to hold the Chaos Theory Title. Seven year career. Many titles under my name, many different types of matches included Hell in a Cell and Buried Alive. I’m sure I’m qualified in spirit and heart if not in way you are thinking.
David looks at X. X shrugs.
X: Let her try. If she dies, it's her own business.
David Blazenwing: All right. I’m not promising anything now. I don't know when, or if, the Chaos Theory Title will be activated, BUT, I will take your request under consideration. In the meantime... OUT!
Vespertine: Ok fine! Sad face. If I must.
She swings her legs off the chair, gets up and goes out the door with a kind of wink and smile for the both of them. Camera cuts shot.
Kandi Kash makes her BWF debut against a disgruntled Elizabeth Davis, upset that she hasn't seemingly risen up the card since her debut. Frustrated, Liz takes her aggression out on the newcomer, keeping Kash in check for the majority of the match before finally putting her away with her Maple Leaf Lock (Figure 4 Leg Lock).
WINNER: Elizabeth Davis, via Submission
After the match, Liz smiles and waves to the crowd as the officials check on 'Sister Sin'.
Esté Preparado
The cameras shift to the backstage area as Don McMichael stands ready for an interview with AJ Adams.
Don McMichael: Standing with me at this time is former BWF World Champion AJ Adams. AJ, at Legacy X you felt like you had your match won and even had Elena out cold. Before you could try to revive the referee and try again the lights went out and as they came back up all that was left was you downed and your brass knuckles sitting beside you. You even said this week that it in fact WAS the men you have recently hired for your own purposes. Who were those men?
McMichael moves the microphone over towards Adams as the fans give him a mixed reaction. Adams takes the microphone from Don and looks into the camera.
AJ Adams: I’ve been thinking all week how to go about this because you can be damn well assured that I plan on taking them down a notch or two. They were responsible for me losing the BWF World Championship. So listen up, boys, I’m standing right here.
Adams can’t get any more out and he’s attacked from both sides by the two men, wearing their half ski masks. They start wail on AJ as McMichael hightails it out of the frame. Adams tries to battle back but gets tossed backwards into the wall as he falls to the ground hard.
Man: Esté preparado, ese.
The two men walk away as Adams rubs his neck and pulls himself to his feet as trainers come to check on him.
Introducing Zoe Cooper
Toshi Yang: Please at this time, welcome my guest, Zoe Cooper.
A cute, young girl walks into frame, her blonde hair bouncing as she moves into view. She waves to the viewers at home.
Zoe Cooper: Hi!
Toshi Yang: Miss Cooper, you've just signed with the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation. What are your thoughts on the state of the company right now?
Zoe Cooper: I don't care about any of that.
Toshi Yang: Hmm? What do you mean?
Zoe Cooper: I'm just here to wrestle, ma'am.
Toshi seems at a loss for words.
Toshi Yang: Well, um, do you have any words for whoever ends up being your first opponent here?
Zoe Cooper: Sure. Good luck, and may the best wrestler win!
Zoe smiles, bowing to the camera.
Toshi Yang: An interesting show of sportsmanship from the rookie. With that, I send it back to the guys at ringside.
Before the match begins, Jake Norton takes the mic and tells everybody that what happened at Legacy X was a farce, and that his client was robbed. And tonight, she'll either beat Vespertine or die trying, because if she doesn't, she's quitting the BWF!
Nick Webb: Seems like sour grapes... but for Farah's sake, let's hope Norton didn't just put her in a no-win situation!
After Vespertine enters the ring, Vespertine puts a hand on her fist and bows low towards Farah who tilts her head in confusion. The referee calls for the bell and the two waste no time in hooking up. Arm bars are followed by arm wrenches. These are followed by counters and kip ups and arm twists. They let go and then lock up again. Vespertine, being the heavier of the two backs Farah into the corner. The referee gets between them. Vespertine backs up a step and as she does so, she slaps Farah across the face. Farah turns her head to take the slap and then slowly turns back and we can see anger in her eyes.
Rayne: Farah didn't like that one bit, Nick!
Farah charges out of the corner with a high jump kick, which Vespertine dodges. Roundhouse kicks are given as well as spinning heel kicks, middle kicks, high punches, low punches. At one point, Farah attempts a spinning backfist which Vespertine sees coming by going low and sweeping. Farah jumps over the sweep. Vespertine sweeps again and Farah jumps again. This time she jumps backwards out of Vespertine’s range.
Nick Webb: This is like watching a Mortal Kombat fight!
Now it’s Vespertine’s turn and she charges Farah with Tae Kwon do kicks of her own and low judo chops. The two women dance around the ring, Vespertine on the offensive and Farah on the defensive, neither gain the advantage. They stop and take a breather. All of a sudden, the audience breaks out in two different chants. “Let’s Go Vesey!” done by one side and the other side chants “Let’s Go Farah”. The two women look out at the audience.
Rayne: I'm surprised some fans are chanting for Khan, but I guess there are bound to be some UX fans in attendance who support Norton.
Farah looks back at Vespertine who is giving her a smirk. Vespertine makes a grand sweeping flourish of a bow before coming back up. Farah scoffs at her and then charges. She tries a new tactic and attempts clothesline from hell. Vespertine falls backwards and does the matrix back bend move. Farah stops short, turns around, and attempts to stomp on Vespertine’s belly. Vespertine lays flat on the mat and catches her foot. Farah tries to detach her foot but to no avail. Vespertine slowly gets up all the while holding on to Farah’s foot. Slowly, hand over hand, she pulls Farah closer to her. When she gets within arm's reach, Farah tries to strike her in the face but Vespertine dodges it. She then flies forward and headbutts Farah in the face. Farah goes down and Vespertine comes back holding her forehead.
Nick Webb: Oh! What a nasty shot there from Vespertine!
Farah recovers quickly and slowly gets up. She stalks over and behind Vespertine and grabs her neck and falls back to attempt a rear naked choke hold. Vespertine desperately grabs at the air but to no avail. Farah calls to the referee to ask her and he asks Vespertine if she wants to quit. Vespertine says no. She stops struggling. The referee holds up an arm and she keeps it up. Suddenly, slowly, inch by inch, she moves her way towards the ropes. Farah tries to apply more pressure and move her back towards the center, but Vespertine being the heavier of the two, she finally makes it and latches on to the bottom rope.
Rayne: Vespertine survives the submission!
The referee goes over to Farah and tells her to get off. Farah detaches herself but keeps a hand on Vespertine. She gets up, picks Vespertine up and Irish whips her towards the post. Vespertine’s back hits the post and Farah follows up but charging her and jumping at the last minute, clamping on and monkey flipping her towards the center of the ring. As Farah gets up quickly, Vespertine kips up.
Nick Webb: Vespertine showing her athletic skills in this match! Very impressed!
Suddenly, without warning, Vespertine charges, jumps the ropes at the last second and executes a perfect tornado hurricanrana and Farah goes landing in a heap in the corner. Jake Norton shouts at the referee that that is an illegal move. The referee ignores him. Giving Farah no time to get up, Vespertine charges, does a few flips and executes a Jillian Hall elbow drop which lands right on Farah’s sternum. Farah writhes in pain on the mat.
Rayne: She might have damaged Farah's goods with that shot!
Vespertine gets up, picks Farah up and Irish whips her towards the ropes. Vespertine attempts a clothesline but Farah ducks under it and runs the ropes herself and when she rebounds, she executes a perfect flying cross body block which when she goes down, she attempts to pin Vespertine. But Vespertine rolls through and somehow finds herself on top of Farah. The referee starts the three count.
1!
2!
Kickout!
Nope, at 2 and a half, Farah kicks out. Vespertine gets on her knees and blows a stray hair out of her face. Farah rolls a few feet then gets up. She stalks over to Vespertine who has gotten up to her feet and the two of them start punching each other back and forth. Finally, Vespertine has had enough and kicks her in the midsection. Farah doubles over and Vespertine runs the ropes and executes a perfect cartwheel bomb. She again attempts to pin Farah.
1!
2!
3-kickout!
At two and a half, Farah kicks out again. Both women get up, but Vespertine is up first. She grabs Farah and Irish whips her towards the corner post then backs up and charges her. She attempts a shining wizard but Farah moves at the last second and Vespertine hits the ring post with her knee. She falls backwards and cradles her knee in pain. Farah sees this opportunity and with Jake directing her, she goes to the outside, grabs Vespertine’s legs, goes over to the ring post and goes way out and smashes her knee against the ring post. Vespertine cries out in pain. Farah does it again. She does it a third time. Then at the referee’s count of 6, she rolls back into the ring and picks Vespertine up by the hair. When the referee admonishes her, she pushes him out of the way and grabs Vespertine. In a whirl of motion, Vespertine grabs Farah’s head, puts her head under her jaw, and then drops in a modified jaw breaker. Farah straightens back up and then falls back on the mat. Vespertine tries to get up but her knee is bad so she nurses it while she has time. She circles around the ring to be behind Farah.
Nick Webb: It looks like Farah Khan's ready to end this match... Norton's beside himself on the outside!
When Farah comes to, she struggles to get up and looks around for Vespertine. Vespertine charges and clips her knee with her shoulder. Farah falls down to one knee. Vespertine gets up, turns around and grabs Farah by the hair and starts wailing away on her. She picks Farah up and then jumps to attempt a Codebreaker but Farah sees it coming and pushes her off which sends Vespertine flying and lands in a heap in the ring.
Rayne: A veteran-esque counter there from Norton's protégé!
Farah stalks over to Vespertine, grabs her legs and executes a one legged Boston Crab with most of the focus being on the knee she smashed earlier. Vespertine cries out in pain but sees she near the ropes so she grabs on to it. The referee sees this and tells Farah to get off. Farah then gets in the referees face and admonishes him to the boos of the crowd. This gives Vespertine time to recover and slowly get up.
Nick Webb: This is gonna cost her the match if she's not careful!
Farah pushes the referee out of the way and stalks over to Vespertine. Vespertine lunges into action, pulls on Farah’s shorts and puts her in a schoolboy rollup. The referee gets into position.
1!
2!
Th-No!
Right before three, Farah kicks out. Jake Norton yells at the referee for counting too fast. Vespertine gets up first and as Farah gets up, Vespertine lets go with a huge roundhouse kick which connects with Farah’s temple. Farah goes down hard. Vespertine runs to the corner post, climbs up, looks around, smirks, which gets a huge pop from the crowd as they know what is coming and then gets ready to fly.
Rayne: The crowd here in the O2 is electric!
Vespertine takes a last measuring look, then flies into space and hangs suspended in midair for what seems like eternity and then on the way down, executes a perfect 670 Senton. She bounces off and while Farah coughs, she rolls around in pain on the mat. Vespertine comes to as Farah slowly rises to a knee, but her opponent wastes no time and immediately grabs her before hitting and locking in her Breaking the Bank (Japanese Stranglehold Lungblower/Submission Combo)! Norton rages on the outside, screaming at Farah to hold on, but it's no use, and she taps out moments later.
WINNER: Vespertine, via Submission
The referee raises Vespertine’s hand in victory as she celebrates her win. Farah Khan rolls to the outside and Norton pulls her up before they quickly make their way up the ramp.
Nick Webb: And thus ends the epic saga of Jake Norton in the BWF. See ya, Nortz!
Stone Cold Emergency
We come backstage to see Elizabeth Davis, BWF megastar (ha, right?) on her cell phone. She’s standing near catering, but the camera is able to come close enough to her to hear what she’s saying.
Elizabeth Davis: Yeah, I told you I would win. It wasn’t very hard, you’ve seen Gabe in the ring, he’s nothing to worry about and neither is his bimbo. I’ll give you three guesses as to why she was signed and talent isn’t it....
Liz laughs, hearing the voice on the other line just as Katrina comes rushing up to her. She raises an eyebrow at her/
Elizabeth Davis: Hang on, Katrina’s here...
Liz looks at her friend as if expecting her to just blurt out what she seems so agitated about.
Katrina Evans: It’s Matt... there’s been an accident, come!
Katrina starts off down the hall again and Liz looks worried.
Elizabeth Davis: Gotta go, I’ll call you later.
She hangs up and sees that Katrina is already on the other side of the hall, so she takes off to try and catch up.
Elizabeth Davis: What happened?
Rayne: What do you suppose that was all about?
Nick Webb: Who cares? Matt’s not part of our roster, he walked out on us, remember?
Rayne: You're a real humanitarian, you know that?
In a Triple Threat Match to determine the next #1 Contender to Johnny Maverick's Sovereign Championship, The Minstrel showcases just why he is so terrifying as he manhandles not one, but two men throughout the match. Neither Daze nor Rudo is ever able to get out of the gate, and after a miscommunication sends Daze tumbling to the outside, Minstrel catches Rudo with his Knock 'Em Dead (Second Rope Springboard Enziguri) before heading to the top and hitting him with the No Laughing Matter (Houston Hangover [Flying, Flipping Legdrop]) for the win.
WINNER: The Minstrel, via Pinfall
As Minstrel celebrates in the ring, Rayne and Webb announce that he will receive his Championship shot against Maverick on the next episode of Havok on August 26, and comment that Minstrel is likely to be very excited to get the chance to avenge his only loss so far in BWF.
Coming Soon on Pay-Per-View
This is a Bad Night for Phone Calls
Camera cuts to shot of Vespertine walking down the hall. She gets to the door of her dressing room when she is interrupted by Akoda Yang, the backstage interviewer. He rushes up to her.
Akoda Yang: Ms. Vespertine. You win match against Farah Kahn. How you feel?
Vespertine: Ahhhhhh…Soda. You’re back. I thought you were supposed to be in the audience. All right, I’ll bite. I feel good. But then it always feels good to win, don’t you think?
Akoda Yang: I not sure, never wrestle in entire life.
Vespertine: We have to remedy that?
Akoda Yang: How you say, rem-e-die-
Vespertine: Ah… never mind. Next question.
Akoda Yang: It was a well fought and hard match. What are you going to do now?
Vespertine: Go in my room, shower, change and celebrate.
Akoda Yang: No. No. I mean to say what direction you want to take next.
Vespertine: Well you saw my earlier segment or you should have if you had been watching. I want to try for the Chaos Theory Title and see where that gets me. I also-
Her Droid Razr rings, she gets it out of her pocket and looks at it. She tilts her head in confusion then looks up at Akoda.
Vespertine: Uh…. Do you mind if I get this a second?
Akoda Yang: Sure. We be right here.
The camera follows her as she turns her back and moves down the hall. She punches a button and it goes to speaker.
Vespertine: Kimmora, long time no hear, sweetie. I thought you were in New York this week pitching a new clothing line. What’s up?
Kimmora: Oh my god, Vesey, I’m so sorry. I just heard the news and I want to give my condolences.
Vespertine: Kim, you are scaring me now. I’m fine. I just won my match.
Kimmora: No. Not that. It’s your mother. DIdn’t you hear?
Vespertine: Uh…. No. Daddy hasn’t called me yet.
Kimmora: She’s at the hospital. Her tumor grew and she went into a coma, could be very fatal this time.
Vespertine: How do you know this before I do?
Kimmora: You know our dads are good friends. I’m pretty sure he would tell me and my dad right after he talked to you.
Vespertine: Oh my god. That bastard of a father of mine. He called you first?!?!?!?! I haven’t gotten anything yet…. Oh wait… there is another call coming in. I’ll sign off and call you back. This is him.
Kimmora: Ok.
She takes the Droid from her ear, pushes a couple of buttons, changes calls.
Vespertine: Daddy, good to hear from you. Or not as the case may be. You bastard. You called Kimmora and Lucas before you told me the news about mom.
There is a long silence on her part as she rolls her eyes and sighs. On the other end, we can hear his voice rise.
Vespertine: I’m sorry father. I won’t say that again to you. Now, what’s happened to mom.
There is another long silence, she gasps and puts a light hand over her mouth and tears well up in her eyes.
Vespertine: Are you sure?
pause
Vespertine: I’m in London now. Just had a match. I’ll get on the next plane out and be there as soon as I can.
Pause, a few tears roll down her cheeks.
Vespertine: I’m sorry. I’m on my way.
She hangs up the phone and slowly goes back to her dressing room. Akoda comes back up.
Akoda Yang: You ok?
Vespertine: I was. Oh it’s not you my sweet. My father just told me that my mother’s cancer in her breast has now enlarged a tumor in her brain that doctors didn’t find earlier. She slipped into a coma. Doctors don’t know if she’ll make it.
She looks around tearfully.
Vespertine: I hate to cut this short on you but I need to pack up and get on the next plane back to Vegas.
Akoda Yang: Will do. Good luck, Ms. Vespertine.
She closes the door and Akoda walks down the hall. Camera cuts shot.
As alluded to in Team Ian's pre-match promo aired earlier this week, Emperor Ian was indeed absent from the proceedings, utilizing Funk Dogg in his place alongside Kelly Keagan, who did not look amused. The former RXW competitor starts the match off against Apollo, who takes Funk down a peg with his offense. As Veyron and Kelly watch on, Apollo keeps control over Funk Dogg before finally hitting him with his Nighthawk Cyclone (Tilt-a-whirl Powerbomb). Kelly considers stepping into the ring to break up the pin, but thinks again after taking his size into account. A quick three count later, and the match is over.
WINNERS: Apollo Nighthawk & Veyron, via Pinfall
Following the match, Apollo and his wife, Maria, celebrate in the ring along with Veyron. Funk Dogg rolls out of the ring and Kelly halfheartedly checks on him before taking her Tag Title and heading up the ramp.
Hearts on Fire
Backstage – the cameraman is entering an unmarked door and immediately is met by a wall of sound. Hearts on Fire by John Cafferty rings out throughout the room from an oversized and out of date boombox in the corner of the room. In the middle of the room, fresh off his victory, the Minstrel is jumping rope at a quick, but steady pace. As a heavy synthesizer kicks in – he picks up the pace rapidly – finishing just as the words kick in.
Silent darkness creeps into your soul
and removes the light of self-control
the cave that holds you captive has no doors
burnin' with determination
to even up the score
The Minstrel slams the jump rope down against the ground and begins mock kick boxing with an invisible opponent. A set of swift jabs is followed up by a punching combination. As he throws the punches he laughs to himself psychotically.
Hearts on fire
strong desire
rages deep within
hearts on fire
fever's rising high
the moment of truth draws near
As the chorus finishes, he promptly falls to the ground catching himself inches before he smacks the ground and lifts himself up in rigid push-up form. He continues for a set of approximately twenty-to-thirty in rapid, but mostly perfect form.
Time will not allow you to stand still, no
silence breaks the heart and bends the will
and things that give deep passions are your sword
rules and regulations have no meaning anymore
The Minstrel rises to his feet and pushes his sweaty, dark hair back behind his mask. He approaches a mirror, where a picture of Johnny Maverick is taped.
Hearts on fire
strong desire
rages deep within
hearts on fire
fever's rising high
the moment of truth is here
is here
The Minstrel tilts his head and lets out a heavy breath and another. He reaches out and grabs the picture, crumpling it as he does so. He then lifts his hands over his head and yells as the song fades in the background...
The Minstrel: MAVERRRIICCCKKKKK!!! MAAAAAAVVVVEERRRRRRIIIIICCCCKKKKKKK!!!
Hearts on fire
strong desire
rages deep within
hearts on fire
fever's rising high
hearts on fire
strong desire
rages deep within
The camera cuts back to ringside as the Minstrel throws the picture back against the glass and it falls to the ground.
The match begins with Elena and Casey putting each other to the test. Despite Campbell's best efforts, he can't seem to keep the former World/Sovereign Champion down, and when he places her in a Campbell Clutch (Crouching Cobra Clutch), everybody heads into the ring to start a brawl. After things die down, Casey tags out to Toco and Elena to Johnny. The new Sovereign Champion begins dominating the Hall of Famer, taking him off his feet with an impressive series of moves before hitting his Tony Jaa (Muay Thai Jumping Knee Strike to the Opponent's Face or Throat). Before he can cover, Outlaw and Casey jump him, and again, Elena and AJ enter the fray.
After the second brawl settles down, both teams tag out again, leaving us with AJ and Outlaw as the legal men. They put up a hell of a fight, going back and forth, laying into each other, but the turning point comes when Toco drops off the apron and runs to the other side of the ring, pulling Elena off of the ring apron. Johnny leaps off with a diving knee to Toco's head, and while the referee tries to get things together, Casey sneaks into the ring and cracks Adams hard on the back with a steel chair. Before the referee can turn back around, Casey quickly slides out of the ring and hides the chair, leaving Outlaw to hit a dazed AJ with the Breaking the Law (Canadian Destroyer) and get the pin.
WINNERS: Outlaw, Casey Campbell & Toco, via Pinfall
Following the match, Johnny and Elena slide back into the ring to try and defend Adams from the two on one assault that has begun, pitting Casey and Outlaw on AJ, but "Pain" by Jimmy Eats World hits the BlazenTron and both David Blazenwing and X run down to the ring to un-even the odds. Soon, the five man team of Blazenwing, Outlaw, Casey, Toco and X are in complete control of Elena, Johnny and Adams, beating them down as the London crowd boos vociferously.
The Next Level
"Radioactive" by Within Temptation hits the BlazenTron and the crowd starts cheering loudly as former BWF Owner Emily Corlen walks out onto the stage alongside the father of her unborn child (and Elena's brother) Nikolai Simonova.
Nick Webb: IT'S EMILY CORLEN!
Rayne: Well, the fighting stopped for a moment, but what can she do? She's pregnant! And Elena's brother, sure, but he's not a wrestler, and even if he was... against five guys? What do you think their odds are?
Blazenwing holds Outlaw and co. back even as he motions for a mic.
David Blazenwing: Y'know, I already tossed Gabe Shelley out of here tonight, I have no problem throwing another non-contracted individual out. Not like you can do much anyways, right, preggo? Huh? Come on! Make a move, then! Or are you just gonna stand there while we end the careers of your best friend, your ex-husband and whatever the hell AJ Adams is to you? Huh? What's it gonna be, Em? What's it gonna -
HOLD ON TIGHT, YOU KNOW SHE'S A LITTLE BIT DANGEROUS
David is interrupted mid-sentence as "Dangerous" by Roxette hits the BlazenTron. He looks back at his crew, confused, and the crowd mumbles confusedly as well.
Nick Webb: I don't recognize this music, do you, Rayne?
Rayne: Not a clue. I guess Emily and Nikolai brought backup?
Everybody's questions are answered a moment later when a familiar looking brunette walks out onto the stage, mic in hand. The London crowd comes unglued as Blazenwing drops to his knees in shock, shaking his head, screaming "Anybody but HER!"
Rayne: Are you fucking kidding me right now!?
Nick Webb: (Laughing) JEN CORLEN! Emily's big sister... and David Blazenwing's ex-wife! Ha ha ha!
The music dies down and a loud "YES! YES! YES!" chant fills The O2 Arena. Jen smirks.
Jen Corlen: I'll just pretend that chant is for me. Although for the record, I'm sure as hell hoping he walks away with the gold this Sunday night.
Jen winks to the fans, who cheer louder.
Jen Corlen: Now, onto business. David, dear, please stand up when I'm addressing you. It looks rather unprofessional, don't you think?
David stands up, fuming.
David Blazenwing: NO! NO! NOT OKAY! WHAT... THE HELL... ARE YOU DOING HERE!? WHO GAVE YOU PER...
The rest of Blazenwing's rant goes practically unheard as his mic cuts out halfway through. The crowd cheers again as Jen smiles.
Jen Corlen: A big thank you to my good friend Andrew in the production truck for doing us all a favor and shutting you the HELL up.
Jen and Emily both grin. In the ensuing moments after Jen walked out, Johnny, Elena and AJ managed to escape the ring and join the three already standing on the stage. Nikolai checks on his little sister while AJ and Johnny watch on from behind Jen, pissed.
Jen Corlen: As I was saying, onto business. You see, it would seem that, in my absence, you somehow deemed yourself the 'Owner' of the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation. And I'm not referring to what happened at Legacy X. I'm talking about way back at the beginning of this year, when you sold the company and all of its rights to my sister, Emily. See, as it turns out, those rights were not yours to sell... because you never owned the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation. The C.E.O. of Slayton Brands Inc. owns the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation... and refresh my memory, who was that, again?
She pauses. The color drains from Blazenwing's face, because he already knows what's coming next.
Jen Corlen: Oh, that's right... I am. Which, by the by, makes me the C.E.O. of the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation - still. Just so we're clear.
The crowd cheers loudly.
Jen Corlen: David Lee Slayton, it is my solemn duty to inform you that you are NOT the Owner of the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation. Much like my dear sister was led to erroneously believe earlier this year, you hold no power here. The difference is, with her at the helm, BWF grew and thrived. I let her be, mostly because she was making us money. But you, David... you've always been in business for yourself and you alone. And that... will not fly with me or the Board of SBI.
David yells at Jen, his mic still cut.
Jen Corlen: Now, now... I didn't say you were going to be removed, did I? Just calm your lady bits for a moment and let me finish, will you?
David fumes, but stops.
Jen Corlen: I have been presented with a... unique situation, and what happened at Legacy X has given me the clairvoyance to know what needs to happen next. Ladies and gentlemen... it's time for the BWF action to pick up by two.
Jen grins.
Jen Corlen: Here's what's going to happen. In two weeks, on August 26, the BWF will hold it's second draft in company history. That's right, ladies and gentlemen... we're gonna have ourselves a good old-fashioned brand extension! Every Monday night, we will air BWF programming. The catch? It'll be a different show every other week. Monday Night Havok will remain in it's normal time slot on HBO, and will be headed by the man who created the brand, David Blazenwing. So congratulations, David, you are now once again employed by this company - officially - as the new General Manager of Monday Night Havok.
The crowd boos as Blazenwing glares, not sure how to react.
Jen Corlen: On alternating weeks starting on September 2, the brand new channel FXX will air the reborn version of one of BWF's classic programs, BWF Monday Night Crisis, helmed by my sister, Emily. And, don't worry, Nikolai... I'm making it official right now as the C.E.O. of the BWF; anybody who lays a finger on the mother of your child will be immediately terminated and legal action will be taken. Not that Emily can't take care of herself.
She winks to Emily, who shakes her head and chuckles.
Jen Corlen: As far as what's going to happen with the Championships and what not? That's up to the General Managers to decide when they draft their respective rosters in two weeks. Good night, London, and good luck to everybody in the BWF.
She pauses for a moment.
Jen Corlen: With these two in charge, you might need it.
She chuckles as "Dangerous" by Roxette hits the BlazenTron again. Jen turns and walks backstage as Emily steps forward on the stage, staring down Blazenwing. Each one of them is surrounded by several individuals who have no idea what the future holds for any of them.
Nick Webb: This is... wow... a draft? A brand extension? Does that mean we're going to have two World Champions again?
Rayne: I have no idea... but I have a feeling we'll find out soon enough!
Nick Webb: No kidding! Who's going to end up where? Who's going to be stuck working for a boss they hate?
Rayne: Who's going to be the first to claim that this is a horrible idea that will never work?
Nick Webb: (Laughing) Yeah, there's always one, isn't there? Alright folks! For Rayne, I'm Nick Webb... good night from London! We'll see you in two weeks for the BWF Draft! Never thought this night would end with me saying that! Wow!
"Dangerous" by Roxette is still playing as we see one more shot of everybody concerned for their futures, before the shot fades to the BWF logo, and finally to black.
