Episode 124 - October 15, 2007
Just seven days removed from the relaunch of BWF, Havok rolled into Mobile, Alabama. The fans wondered if we would find out just why the show ended with Mark McNasty being carted away by the police. Was he really behind the disappearance of Gabe Shelley?
As BWF Havok came on the air, we were joined by the mystery man who had McNasty arrested, already in the ring. The man revealed himself to be none other than Gabe Shelley’s brother, Jason Clark - JC - Shelley. He explains to the fans that, while he and his younger brother Gabe were never really close, he couldn’t sit idly by while his own flesh and blood was missing, and in finding the clues he did, he was able to link Mark McNasty to the crime.
Suddenly, the BlazenTron came to life with the visage of Blazenwing’s Executive Assistant Ryan Maanya. He interrupted Shelley and said “I’ll get to you in a minute”, then announced that he had big news regarding the main event of Wreckless - the match’s official stipulation! Before Ryan Maanya could reveal the stipulation, however, Shelley cut him off and started ranting about how he was sickened that Maanya didn’t care about his missing brother, who was a member of the BWF active roster.
Maanya sighed and told Shelley that everyone in BWF was doing all that they could… except one man, who found it hard to do much of anything while behind bars. Shelley started responding with “Oh, you mean McNasty, the culprit?” But before he could finish, the lights in the arena went out… and when they came back on, Mark McNasty was standing behind Shelley. JC turned around and the two got into a huge brawl before being pulled away by arena security. As the two men were standing there being held apart by security, Maanya chimed in with “Oh, I almost forgot… the main event stipulation at Wreckless… 60 Minute Ironman Match! Good luck Mark, you’re gonna need it.” Mark doesn’t seem to hear the announcement, staring down JC Shelley with a returned look of loathing as the show cuts to commercial.
Havok returned to the ring with it’s first International/U.S. Title Tourney Match of the evening, Fire vs. Michelle Richards. It was a fairly quick match - ending at a little over five minutes - but it was fast paced and high flying. The final moments came when Michelle tried to lift Fire up for her Kiss of Death (Alley Oop), only for Fire to counter out of it with a hurricanrana. Michelle stumbled to her feet and turned around, right into Fire’s Season Ender (Sweet Chin Music), allowing Fire to get the three and move on.
WINNER: Fire, via Pinfall
Backstage, Alli Taylor was getting ready for her match as JC Shelley approached her from behind. JC stopped her and said that she made him sick. Instead of being out there, looking for Gabe, she was here. Alli told him that she knew Gabe was safe somewhere. She wasn’t out spending her days because it broke her heart thinking about him every minute. JC scoffed at her as he walked away.
The action returned to the ring for the second International/U.S. Title Tourney Match, putting Alex Wilkie against Alli Taylor. This match was shockingly short, given the talent that was in the ring… perhaps fueled by his loss against McNasty last week, Wilkie was a man on fire inside the ring, and with Taylor still visibly distracted by thoughts of both Gabe Shelley and what had gone down moments before with his brother JC, Wilkue was able to take advantage of Taylor and nailed his A+ Knock Out (Fireman’s Carry into a Spin-out Cutter) for the pinfall victory.
WINNER: Alex Wilkie, via Pinfall
Backstage again, JC Shelley walked up to BWF Owner David Blazenwing and told him that he knows he is right about Mark McNasty. JC promised that he will take matters into his own hands and that Blazenwing should be helping him by firing Mark. David shook his head and told JC that next week, he’ll get his own shot at McNasty - as he faces him in the main event of Havok! JC told him that it'll be the last time that anyone sees Mark in a ring, because unless McNasty comes across a miracle, he's going to be put away for a long time. Shelley then started to walk away when, out of nowhere, a forearm came across the back of his head, knocking him to the ground! The camera panned over to an angry McNasty, who looked down and shouted “LIGHTS OUT, BITCH!” to the fallen JC Shelley. Mark looked over at Blazenwing, who merely shrugged and said “I didn’t see a damn thing…” then walked away.
The fans came to their feet as the Steel Cage descended from the rafters and the main event came into place. Jester the Clown (sans Mr. J) and Xameneoh entered the unforgiving steel structure and the bell rang as the two immediately went at it. Despite showing some technical prowess last week, Jester seemed dedicated to a brawling regiment here, opting to beat Xameneoh into submission, then attempting to escape the cage. For about the first five minutes or so, an enraged Jester had Xameneoh on the ropes, but Xame kept coming back, refusing to let Jester escape the cage. Finally, Jester DDT’d Xameneoh into the mat hard, then started climbing the side of the cage… but Xame used all his adrenaline to force himself to his feet and slam himself into the side of the cage, causing Jester to fall off, crotch himself on the ring ropes and collapse to the mat. As both men laid on the mat, the crowd started booing as Mr. J came down the ramp, looking angry. He went straight for the ref outside the cage by the door and slammed him into the cage, then bent over and grabbed the key off him. Mr. J opened the cage door quickly and screamed for Jester to hurry. As Xameneoh started pulling himself to his feet, Jester slowly started inching close to the door, but as he does, an unfamiliar man is seen running down the ramp - sporting white pants and a white and gold mask. Mr. J, however, did not see the man until it was too late, and turned in time get slammed by a huge Clothesline from Hell. The mysterious masked man was instantly back on his feet, and as Jester used the last of his strength to lunge for the cage door, the masked man slammed the door as hard as he could, causing Jester to hit it square with his face. The force sent Jester reeling back towards the middle of the ring, flipping over himself. Meanwhile, as the crowd cheers, Xameneoh had managed to start climbing the cage during all the ruckus and as Jester flipped back into the ring, Xame lowered himself and dropped to the arena floor to win the match.
WINNER: Xameneoh, via Cage Escape
After the match, Xameneoh shook the hand of the golden masked man - perhaps backup? The two then headed up the ramp as Jester, angry and bleeding from the cage door shot, yelled at the duo as the cameras faded to the BWF logo, then to black.
