Episode 42: June 30, 2024
Liam Stewart: LW ADRENALINE IS BACK ON THE AIR, FOLKS! The long drought is over, and just one week after The Return, we’re back in Fort Limitless for the first of two back-to-back shows!
Riley Rouse: Stay tuned after this show for BWF Shockwave, which has NOT been cancelled, but for now, let’s kick off Episode 42 of Adrenaline with a big Non-Title Match featuring the debut of the woman who calls herself ‘Lady Limitless’, Alex Andrews!
Liam Stewart: Let’s head to the ring for our opening contest!
Cara Carnage's entrance theme, "Valley of Disease" by Avatar, blasts through the arena speakers as she makes her way to the ring with an intense look in her eyes. The crowd gives a mixed reaction, knowing her reputation for bending the rules inside the ring.
Liam Stewart: Here she is, folks! The Vanguard Champion, Cara Carnage! And she looks ready to dish out some punishment tonight.
Riley Rouse: You know Liam, Cara might seem like a maniac between the ropes, but outside of them, she's just your everyday chill person... with a penchant for violence.
"I Want It All" by Queen hits next, and the crowd erupts in cheers as Alex Andrews makes her debut entrance. She high-fives fans on her way to the ring, clearly pumped up for her first match in Limitless Wrestling.
Liam Stewart: And here comes 'Lady Limitless' Alex Andrews! Making her debut tonight, and what a debut it could be against Cara Carnage.
Riley Rouse: She's got a lot to prove, Liam. Let’s see if she can back up all that hype.
The bell rings and the two women circle each other, feeling out their opponent. Cara moves in first with a flurry of strikes, trying to overwhelm Alex early. Alex manages to duck under a discus forearm and counters with a leg lariat that sends Cara to the mat. Alex follows up with a quick senton, keeping the momentum in her favor.
Liam Stewart: Look at that agility! Alex Andrews is not here to play around.
Riley Rouse: She's here to make a statement, and Cara might just be the perfect canvas.
Cara fights back with a step-up enziguri, stunning Alex. She then hits a corner cannonball senton, followed by a diving seated senton from the top rope for a near fall.
Liam Stewart: Cara Carnage turning the tide with that brutal senton!
Riley Rouse: Alex better find a way to handle this pain junkie, or it’s lights out for her debut.
Alex rallies with a series of suplexes, showcasing her strength and versatility. She hits a backdrop driver, and as Cara gets to her feet, Alex nails her with the Elysium (Running Bicycle Kick), earning a close two-count.
Liam Stewart: Elysium! That could have been it!
Riley Rouse: Cara's not done yet, but she's definitely feeling it now.
Cara attempts to hit the Midnight Sun (Kai-ropractor), but Alex wriggles free and counters with a spear. The crowd is on their feet as both women lie on the mat, exhausted.
Liam Stewart: What a counter! Alex Andrews showing incredible resilience.
Riley Rouse: Both of these women are giving it their all, but who's got enough left in the tank?
Cara goes for a Cara-Less (Curb Stomp), but Alex dodges it at the last second and hits Broken Wings (Backstabber). With Cara down, Alex signals for the end and lifts Cara into position for Helps Rough (Unprettier/Killswitch).
Alex executes the move perfectly, driving Cara's face into the mat. She quickly covers for the pin. 1... 2... 3!
WINNER: Alex Andrews, via Pinfall
The bell rings and Alex Andrews is declared the winner. The crowd erupts in cheers as Alex stands tall, celebrating her debut victory.
Liam Stewart: She did it! Alex Andrews has won her debut match in an incredible upset!
Riley Rouse: What a performance! Alex just put the entire Limitless Wrestling roster on notice.
Liam Stewart: Not to mention, she’s gotta be on the shortlist for a shot at Cara’s title now!
EARLIER TODAY
The room is dimly lit. A light that has clearly been in use for a very long time shines overhead, the dull white light shining through a scuffed and dirty shade. Sitting underneath, hunched over in a chair with his hands folded in his lap.
Derrick Vayden: It’s beginning again… Can you feel it?
A scene flashes on screen. A man and a woman making their entrance. He wears red with face Lipaint on his mouth and eyes. She wears green, a beanie partially covering her eyes.
Derrick Vayden: October 31st, 2022… Blazenwing Wrestling Federation presents Havok. The Kingdom, myself and my wife Geri take on Biocyde and Phoenix of Phoenicyde.
Footage of Vayden taking Biocyde down with a slingblade followed by him and his wife hitting the masked man with a tag team move.
Derrick Vayden: Little did I know it, but that would be the last time I would compete in a BWF ring. Soon later the company would close and I would be out of a job.
Footage of Derrick hitting the smaller of their two large opponents with a suplex and quickly going for a pinfall.
Derrick Vayden: I didn’t realize it at the time, but… Something changed after that. Discouragement hampered me from reaching my full potential again. Sure, I kept going but it just wasn’t the same.
Vayden blasts his opponent with a big knee strike before he and his wife hit another move in tandem.
Derrick Vayden: But… the truth is… I don’t think it started when the company closed. No, it was sometime before that.
Finally, footage of Vayden attempting his Journey to Nowhere finishing move, but it is dodged. And then he is being pinned and his team’s opponents celebrating over him. When the shot cuts back to Vayden, the light overhead flickers before eventually stabilizing.
Derrick Vayden: I don’t know what was wrong with me. It’s like the aggression that brought me to the dance in the first place had just… left. Now, that sounds like a good thing, being a calmer person. But when your entire job revolves around fighting, you need that aggression. That will to win.
Vayden sighs.
Derrick Vayden: And I just didn’t have it.
He runs a hand through his hair before straightening back out again. To this point, he still has not lifted his head.
Derrick Vayden: And so… after joining a new company, only for them to go quiet… another company closing its doors soon after joining them… I was ready to just give it up for good. I even established a women’s football team just to have something to focus on.
Vayden’s hand, a little shaky, rests on top of his head.
Derrick Vayden: But… then I started dreaming about it. Every single night, the same thing.
He begins patting his head somewhat roughly.
Derrick Vayden: I run from it but it keeps following me. No matter what I dream about, it finds its way to me.
A small chuckle escapes him.
Derrick Vayden: Even during the dreams about those cartoon dogs my daughter makes me watch with her… It’s always there somehow…
His whole body heaves with a heavy, shaky breath.
Derrick Vayden: It took a long time, but I finally figured out what it wants. It wants this. It needs to stretch its legs, so to speak. Spending my days playing dad and husband isn’t what makes it feel alive. No, no all that satiates it is driving my knee through someone’s head.
Vayden’s body relaxes somewhat as he seems to come to a realization.
Derrick Vayden: And so… Here we are. Limitless Wrestling, the spiritual successor to BWF, is now open to male wrestlers. That means finally… finally… it gets to feed again…
Vayden finally lifts his head and looks down the camera lens. As he does, some kind of static fills the image almost like it were some kind of mask over Vayden’s face.
Derrick Vayden: It’s coming… Can you feel it?
"Hello" by Karmin plays through the speakers as Krista May Williams makes her entrance. The crowd cheers for the former LW Tag Team Champion, who high-fives fans on her way to the ring, radiating confidence and charisma.
Liam Stewart: Here comes 'The Notorious KMW' Krista May Williams, a former Tag Team Champion, and a fan favorite.
Riley Rouse: Krista's got the skills and the showmanship, but she's up against a tough opponent tonight.
"The Box" by Ice Nine Kills hits next, and Derrick Vayden makes his debut entrance. He walks to the ring with a determined look, acknowledging the fans with a nod but keeping his focus on the task ahead.
Liam Stewart: And here we have 'The Wanderer' Derrick Vayden, making his Limitless Wrestling debut. A family man outside the ring, but once that bell rings, it's all business.
Riley Rouse: He’s here to make an impact, and with his arsenal of heavy strikes, Krista better be ready.
The bell rings, and the match begins with a respectful handshake between the two competitors. They circle each other before locking up in the center of the ring. Krista uses her speed to evade Derrick’s initial strikes, hitting a quick dropkick that sends him stumbling. She follows up with a tilt-a-whirl armbar, showing off her technical prowess.
Liam Stewart: Krista starting strong with that armbar! She's not letting Vayden get comfortable.
Riley Rouse: Smart strategy. She needs to keep him off balance if she wants to win.
Derrick powers out of the armbar and counters with a big boot that nearly takes Krista's head off. He then hits a gutwrench sit-out powerbomb for a near fall.
Liam Stewart: What a counter by Vayden! That powerbomb could've ended it right there.
Riley Rouse: Krista's gotta dig deep if she wants to stay in this!
Krista fights back with a series of high-flying moves, including a slingblade followed by a diving knee strike from the top rope. She goes for the cover, but Derrick kicks out at two.
Liam Stewart: Krista May Williams is showing why she's a former champion! What a combination!
Riley Rouse: But Vayden's resilience is impressive. This match could go either way.
Derrick regains control with a powerful buckle bomb, followed by a razor's edge. The crowd is on their feet as he signals for one of his signature moves.
Liam Stewart: Vayden's setting up for something big here!
Riley Rouse: Krista had better watch out!
He lifts Krista for the Vicious Cycle (Spinning Brainbuster), but she manages to slip out and hits the Season Ender (Shining Wizard) out of nowhere! She covers Vayden, but he kicks out just before three.
Liam Stewart: SEASON ENDER! This could be it—no! Vayden kicks out!
Riley Rouse: That was close! Williams almost had it!
Krista goes for Better Than You (Cattle Mutilation), but Derrick fights out of the hold and nails her with a superkick. He follows up with a spinning heel kick, dazing Krista.
Liam Stewart: What a series of strikes! Vayden's got the momentum now!
Riley Rouse: He's not done yet!
Derrick lifts Krista and hits Our Last Light (Lightning Spiral), leaving her stunned on the mat. He then signals for the end and delivers Journey To Nowhere (V-Trigger knee strike), knocking Krista out cold. He covers for the pin. 1... 2... 3!
WINNER: Derrick Vayden, via Pinfall
The bell rings, and Derrick Vayden is declared the winner. The crowd gives a mixed but mostly positive reaction, impressed by his debut performance.
Liam Stewart: Derrick Vayden wins his debut match! What an impressive showing!
Riley Rouse: He just made a huge statement. Krista May put up a hell of a fight, but Vayden was unstoppable tonight.
Krista May Williams, showing sportsmanship, shakes Derrick's hand after the match, congratulating him on his victory before exiting the ring.
Liam Stewart: Another debut victory tonight! This is shaping up to be a memorable event.
Riley Rouse: Indeed, Liam. Vayden just showed everyone that he's here to stay and make a name for himself.
Vayden begins to exit the ring, but suddenly, the lights flicker in the arena and the Tron pops to life with a series of garbled images and sounds. The only thing clearly visible is a repeating “V” on the Tron - or, more likely, the Roman numeral five. After a few moments, everything returns to normal, but Vayden’s eyes don’t leave the Tron as the show fades to commercial.
"Radio Gaga" by Queen plays as Azurine Vebbins makes her entrance, dancing and high-fiving fans along the way. Beatrix Decker follows, her entrance theme "Wolf Like Me" by Local H blaring through the speakers. The duo receives a mixed but enthusiastic reaction from the crowd.
Liam Stewart: Here comes AzzTrix! Azurine Vebbins and Beatrix Decker, an unlikely but formidable team.
Riley Rouse: They’ve got a chance to earn a future shot at the Tag Team Titles tonight. Let’s see if they can pull it off.
"Despacito" heralds the arrival of Sabrina Scott, who dances her way to the ring, followed by Akemi Hayashi with "Ignite" by Wagakki Band. The crowd cheers loudly for the reigning LW Tag Team Champions.
Liam Stewart: And here come the champions! Sabrina Scott and Akemi Hayashi, ready to defend their honor in this Eliminator Match.
Riley Rouse: The titles aren’t on the line, but pride and future opportunities definitely are.
The match starts with Azurine Vebbins and Sabrina Scott in the ring. They exchange holds and counters, showcasing their technical prowess. Azurine takes control with a series of snap suplexes and a running DDT. She tags in Beatrix, who continues the assault with a diving clothesline and a gutwrench suplex.
Liam Stewart: AzzTrix off to a strong start! They’re showing great teamwork.
Riley Rouse: They’ve got to stay on top of the champions if they want to win this.
Sabrina manages to tag in Akemi, who comes in like a house of fire, hitting Beatrix with a Third Eye Closer (feigned clothesline into a back elbow) and a SQUIRT!! (Complete Shot into turnbuckle).
Liam Stewart: Akemi turning the tide with those powerful moves!
Riley Rouse: She’s a force to be reckoned with. AzzTrix better be careful.
Beatrix fights back with a Pele Kick, tagging Azurine back in. Azurine hits a rolling fireman’s carry slam followed by a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall.
Liam Stewart: Azurine nearly had it there! This match is intense.
Riley Rouse: They need to keep up the pressure. The new champs won’t go down easy.
Sabrina and Azurine have another exchange, with Sabrina hitting the Triple S (Suplex Backbreaker) and going for the Sonic BOOM (Shooting Star Press), but Azurine rolls out of the way at the last second.
Liam Stewart: Sonic BOOM missed! Azurine with great ring awareness.
Riley Rouse: That could have been it for AzzTrix. They need to capitalize now!
Azurine tags Beatrix back in. Beatrix hits a series of moves, including the Chaos Theory and a double knee facebreaker. Akemi tries to intervene, but Azurine takes her out with a springboard double axe handle.
Liam Stewart: AzzTrix working together perfectly! They’re on fire!
Riley Rouse: This is their moment! Can they seal the deal?
With Sabrina stunned, Beatrix locks in the Get Jinxed (Black Widow Submission). Sabrina struggles, but with Azurine preventing Akemi from breaking the hold, Sabrina has no choice but to tap out.
WINNERS: AzzTrix, via Submission
The bell rings, and AzzTrix is declared the winner, earning a future shot at the LW Tag Team Titles. The crowd erupts in mostly cheers and applause for the victory.
Liam Stewart: AzzTrix wins! They’ve earned a future shot at the Tag Team Titles!
Riley Rouse: What an incredible match! AzzTrix just showed everyone that they’re ready to take on the champions anytime, anywhere. And if they win the next time these two teams meet… we’ll have new LW Tag Team Champions!
BACKSTAGE
The camera cuts to a view of Samara Starling’s office backstage. The LW Owner is seated at her desk, going over paperwork when there’s a knock at the door.
Samara Starling: Come in!
Melody Slayton walks in, the Money in the Bank briefcase clutched in her hand. She looks determined yet slightly frustrated.
Samara Starling: Melody, good to see you. What can I do for you?
Melody Slayton: Samara, I need to talk to you about what happened last week at The Return. I get why you felt the need to get one up on Julianna after she laid her hands on you, but… your actions affected me too. I had a real shot at winning that title, and you took that away from me.
Samara leans back in her chair, a thoughtful expression on her face. Finally, she sighs.
Samara Starling: You’re right, Melody. I did what I felt was necessary at the moment, but I understand it impacted you as well. How about this: You want another crack at the Emerald City Championship, right?
Melody Slayton: Absolutely.
Samara Starling: Alright. Next week, in the main event of LW Adrenaline, you’ll get your shot... but there’s a catch. After all, you DID get pinned in the title match last week, did you not?
Melody’s brow furrows. She slowly nods.
Samara Starling: Well, if you want another shot, it’s only fair that you put something on the line as well. Something like… your Money in the Bank briefcase.
The crowd pops in surprise as Melody looks taken aback, contemplating the high stakes of Samara’s proposal.
Melody Slayton: That’s... a lot to consider.
Before Melody can continue, the door bursts open, and Julianna DiMaria storms in, fury etched on her face. She lunges toward Samara, but Melody steps between them.
Julianna DiMaria: You cost me my title, Starling! This isn’t over!
Samara, maintaining her composure, calls out for security.
Samara Starling: SECURITY! Get her out of here!
Two security guards quickly enter the office and restrain Julianna, dragging her out as she continues to scream threats and insults.
Julianna DiMaria: You haven’t seen the last of me, Starling! I’ll get my revenge!
As the commotion dies down, Melody turns back to Samara, determination replacing her earlier hesitation.
Melody Slayton: Alright, Samara. You’re on. Next week, I’ll put my Money in the Bank briefcase on the line for a shot at the Emerald City Championship.
Samara smiles, nodding approvingly.
Samara Starling: That’s what I like to hear. Good luck, Melody. You’re going to need it.
The segment ends with Melody leaving the office, a look of resolve on her face as she heads into next week’s high-stakes match.

"Go Beyond!" by Danny Weissner hits, and Katie Shelley makes her entrance to a roaring crowd. She high-fives fans and radiates determination as she heads to the ring.
Liam Stewart: Here comes “Stutterfly” Katie Shelley, fresh off a heart-wrenching loss at LW The Return. She’s got a chance to earn a rematch tonight.
Riley Rouse: Katie’s got the skills and the heart, but she’s got a tough challenge ahead in Destiny Figgins, who after all these years in this business, is still looking for her World Championship moment.
The arena lights dim, and a mix of cheers and anticipation fills the air as Destiny Figgins makes her entrance, her high-energy presence evident as she makes her way to the ring.
Liam Stewart: And here’s Destiny Figgins! A longtime tag team partner of our new champion, Alison James, formerly known as Schism.
Riley Rouse: Destiny’s got something to prove tonight. She’s got history with both Katie and Alison, making this match even more intriguing.
The bell rings, and the two women start with a respectful handshake before circling each other. They lock up, and Katie takes the early advantage with a headlock takedown. Katie transitions into a wristlock, but Destiny counters with a series of quick arm drags, showcasing her agility. Katie rolls to her feet and responds with a dropkick, sending Destiny to the mat.
Liam Stewart: Shelley with the early control! She’s not wasting any time.
Riley Rouse: Destiny’s got to keep up her momentum. Both women are giving it their all.
Destiny gets back up and hits a running hurricanrana, followed by a springboard crossbody for a near fall. Katie kicks out and quickly rolls out of the ring to regroup.
Liam Stewart: Des with some high-flying moves! She’s showing why she’s a top contender.
Riley Rouse: Katie’s got to dig deep if she wants to stay in this and earn another title opportunity.
Back in the ring, Katie fights back with a series of quick strikes, hitting a Warp Whistle (Tornado DDT) for a near fall. Destiny kicks out at the last second.
Liam Stewart: Warp Whistle! Katie almost had it!
Riley Rouse: Destiny’s resilience is impressive. This match could go either way!
Destiny counters with a twist of fate, setting Katie up for a moonsault. She climbs to the top rope and hits a beautiful moonsault, but Katie rolls out of the way just in time.
Liam Stewart: Moonsault missed! Shelley with great ring awareness.
Riley Rouse: That could have been it for Katie. She’s got to capitalize now.
Katie gets back to her feet and hits a SHINRA Stomp (Moonsault into a Diving Double Foot Stomp), followed by a cover, but Destiny kicks out at two.
Liam Stewart: SHINRA Stomp! Katie’s pulling out all the stops!
Riley Rouse: Destiny Figgins is not backing down. What a match!
As the match reaches its climax, both women are exhausted but still fighting hard. Katie goes for the Limit Break (RKO), but Destiny counters with a backflip, landing on her feet and hitting a spear.
Liam Stewart: What a counter by Destiny! She’s still in this!
Riley Rouse: These two are giving us everything they’ve got. Who’s going to come out on top?
Destiny climbs to the top rope for another high-flying move, but the lights suddenly go out. The arena is plunged into darkness, and the crowd murmurs in confusion.
Liam Stewart: What’s happening? The lights are out!
Riley Rouse: This can’t be good...
After a few moments, the lights come back on, and standing in the middle of the ring is Alison James, the LW World Champion, holding her title. Katie and Destiny, both caught off guard, stand on opposite sides of the ring, staring at Alison.
Liam Stewart: It’s Alison James! The LW World Champion is here!
Riley Rouse: What’s she doing? She’s not scheduled to be here tonight!
The former Schism stands silently, her presence causing the match to screech to a halt. She doesn’t attack either woman but simply raises her title, making a statement. The confusion and tension in the air are palpable.
Liam Stewart: What does this mean? Why is Alison here?
Riley Rouse: She’s making a statement, Liam. She’s got everyone’s attention now.
Suddenly, without warning, Alison turns her attention to the referee nearby and spits bright red mist in his eyes! The crowd “OHHS” loudly as the referee recoils painfully on the mat and wildly begins motioning for the bell to ring, declaring the match a no-contest. The crowd boos, uncertain of what just transpired.
WINNER: No Contest
Liam Stewart: A no-contest! This is chaos! What does this mean for the number one contender spot?
Riley Rouse: I think it’s clear, Liam. There’s unfinished business here. This could be leading to something big at Independence Day of Reckoning.
As the show goes off the air, Alison James stands tall in the ring, her eerie presence leaving more questions than answers for Destiny, Katie and every fan in attendance.
