Superstar History: Hayato lost his parents at a young age, and lived in the streets of Kyoto, doing whatever he had to in order to survive. He was found by the legendary Tiger Sagara, who adopted the young boy and was enrolled in the NAPW developmental school, trained in Japanese strong style with a special focus on pure power and strong mat tactics.
He always felt different though, like he didn’t fit in with the other students. It wasn’t until he was a teenager that he figured out why: He is a gay man, something frowned upon severely in Japanese culture, especially in the wrestling world. Hayato kept his feelings buried so as not to bring shame upon himself, his school, and his adoptive father.
Flash forward to his twentieth year, when he met two men who would be very important to not only his career, but also his life: Rain Nighthawk and Drake Connors. When Drake decided to return to the States to wrestle in Ana’s company, Hayato followed. He came out as gay and was immediately disowned by NAPW, though not Tiger Sagara, nor the Connors clan. In fact, Hayato found love in an unexpected place: with Drake’s stepson Ryan, and they were wed in a huge ceremony with many friends and family in attendance, including Tiger Sagara, who had left NAPW in protest of their treatment of his son and formed his own company where all who wished to learn the craft were welcome. Tiger gave Hayato away at the ceremony, cementing his approval of Hayato’s choice of mate. When NAPW threatened to revoke Hayato’s work visa, it was through the efforts of Drake, Analicia, and Tiger that he was granted citizenship in the U.S.
Hayato’s demeanor is that of a very kind and patient man, though when in the ring he is ruthless.
