Superstar History:Akemi Hayashi may have better been known as PWA's Dagger. A girl formerly in the group known as the hoodie ninjas. The group was not known for their winning ways, but given that she was an under-aged, untrained, run away she knew that was her only way to actually get herself into the wrestling world. Years later the group scattered and faded from existence. Believing the group held her back she entered the wrestling world under the name of Dagger. The ring name of her father translated to English. Even with the pseudonym information about her personal life had been leaked. She was the daughter of a Japanese wrestling legend, but was adopted by a couple in San Francisco after her father's long career was cut short during an Exploding barbed wire match, though he suffered few burns, the shock of the explosion sent him into cardiac arrest. For a short time, at the age of eight she debuted in a serialized, theatrical variation of wrestling. Given the nature of the production it was heavily scripted
Dagger quickly became known for her unorthodox offense, bizarre fashion sense, and off the wall promos. But on top of all of those, she was known for winning. After several months of winning streaks in which she defeated most the of the mid card 3-4 times a piece she was finally granted a shot at the Grizzly Beer title. She won it easily. But her reign was cut short when she faced world champion Matt Stone. She angered the champion by coming at him with the unexpected. After months and months of unorthodox, high flying, spastic offense, she displayed a technical prowess that shocked everyone. But the crafty Stone goaded dagger into accidentally knocking the referee out and then having her ankle broken along with a concussion.
Originally coming to BWF as a valet for Elena Simonova, Dagger (under her birthname, Akemi Hayashi) soon found herself in BWF competition, fighting for several titles against some of the biggest names in the business. She won the BWF Chaos Theory Championship twice, but greater baubles seemed to constantly elude the young woman. After facing a bevy of disappointing close calls, Hayashi started to crack and, in March of 2015, she finally split in two; the vicious, almost soulless Dagger emerging from the wreckage like a deadly butterfly from a cocoon. Aligning herself with the dangerous Nael, Dagger's prospects are suddenly brighter than ever - even if her demeanor is the opposite. A tag team run and a run with the international Championship were the rewards of her more vicious streak. After two years it seemed the monster finally returned to slumber and Akemi was back to her old bubbly self. The brand split occured Akemi was drafted to Mayhem where she became their Inaugural world champion. After the closure of BWF, Akemi went on a sabbatical, returning to her home to train and take on a few acting roles
