Episode 229 - February 10, 2017
Nick Webb: Welcome to the new era of BWF Havok as we are over a week removed from the BWF Draft and a week has passed since the Havok/Mayhem Supershow. Tonight I’m joined by two, that’s right, two new colleagues after my former partner Rayne was assigned to Mayhem. Please welcome from Empire Wrestling and now members of Havok, Scott Parker and Gemma Foster.
Scott Parker: Thank you, Nick. It’s a pleasure to be here on Havok and it’s an honor to be working with you.
Gemma Foster: Couldn’t have said it better myself, Scott. And what a night we have to kick off this new era of Havok. In the main event we’re going to see the undefeated Ben Macbeth team up with the powerhouse Fenryr Wulfsson as they’ll take on Martin Karloff and Sabrina Scott. The “Monster Messiah” showed up last week at the Supershow after Macbeth addressed the crowd and it seems he’s ready to toss his name into the hat for a championship opportunity.
Nick Webb: Ben Macbeth has been carrying around the EW Heavyweight Championship all night backstage and it’s expected that he’s set to be crowned Havok’s first ever World Champion.
Scott Parker: I would think that’s why Gabe Shelley drafted him. After Havok failed to leave the Supershow without the BWF World Championship it only makes sense that Macbeth is the top guy. He’s the EW Heavyweight Champion and he’s undefeated as you pointed out Gemma.
Grey made her way to the ring with the Primetime Championship around her waist as she stopped to show it off briefly before making it to the ring. Young and Grey were ready to compete as the bell sounded and they quickly locked up. The striker, Young, began to blast Grey with hard right hands and a chop across the chest. She followed it up with another chop before sending Grey into the corner. Grey hit hard and staggered out and had to duck a clothesline. Grey spun Young around and connected with a swinging neckbreaker. Grey lifted Young into a seated position and applied a sleeper hold. Young slowly was able to power to her feet and push away. Grey stepped up and was lifted for the Young Gun (Double A Spinebuster) but Grey countered into a kimura lock. Young had dig down and just make it to the ropes to cause a break. Grey pulled Young to her feet and send her into the ropes. Young ducked a forearm to the face and spun Grey around before hitting the Gorizia (Scoop Slam). Young was getting herself pumped up as she hit the top turnbuckle a few times and got set. She charged at a staggered Grey for the Caught Up (Spear) but Grey countered into Your Fear (Black Hole Slam). Young staggered to her feet and Grey lifted her up into the Racklash (Rack Attack). Grey dropped her and covered to pick up a three count victory.
WINNER: Casey Grey, via pinfall 8:13
Earlier Today:
A Hard Lesson
"The Tomorrow Man" Ben Macbeth is spotted outside of the arena, walking through the parking lot with his luggage in tow. Over his shoulder is the (EW) Heavyweight Championship. Just then a man and his young son approach Macbeth.
Man: Excuse me Mr. Macbeth, could my son please have your autograph?
Ben Macbeth: Of course. It is not every day that a young boy gets to meet a Heavyweight Champion. It is a wise idea to mark the occasion.
Man: Well, I mean you were a Heavyweight Champion. Empire Wrestling isn't a thing anymore. You're in the BWF now, there is no Heavyweight Champion on Havok.
Macbeth smirks and kneels down in front of the little boy.
Ben Macbeth: What is your name lad?
Boy: Tommy.
Ben Macbeth: Tommy. How old are you Tommy?
Tommy: Nine.
Ben Macbeth: A tender age. A tough age to learn the lesson that I am about to teach you. Tommy, I'm afraid that your father is retarded.
Man: Hey...
Macbeth shoots the Man a glare that would stop an avalanche dead in it's tracks. The Man stops talking mid-sentence and Macbeth turns back to Tommy.
Ben Macbeth: It is true. You see, children often look at their parents as Gods. As infalliable entities that are completely incapable of folly. This is not true Tommy. Some people are born to great parents. I had great parents. Unfortunately for you, your father is retarded. He is a dolt, a dunce, a moron. I cannot speak on your mother's intellectual ability but I assume that she is at the very least half imbecile.
Tommy: W-w-w-what?
Ben Macbeth: It is alright Tommy. You need not fear because you do not have to go down their path. You need not become a grown man who approaches his betters and spouts falsehoods like your father here. All you must do is reject literally every thing that your dear old dad has, or will try to teach you. Do you understand me Tommy?
Tommy: Yes sir.
Ben Macbeth: The first falsehood you need to recognize is what he just tried to say to me. I am the Heavyweight Champion of this brand until someone can prove otherwise. I am the new parable that will teach this brand, this company, and this planet that I am inevitable. I am constant. I am today, tomorrow, and forever.
Tommy: Okay Mr. Macbeth. I understand.
Macbeth stands and stares into the Man's eyes.
Man: You're a terrible human being.
Ben Macbeth: No urchin, I am a champion.
Man: Can he at least have the autograph?
Ben Macbeth: No. He got something better. He got a healthy dose of reality. He will forever remember the day that he was taught the new parable. What better way to mark the occasion of when he met a Heavyweight Champion? Every time you say something ignorant he will remember the day that he met The Tomorrow Man.
Macbeth pats the man on the shoulder.
Ben Macbeth: Deepest condolences.
The Learning Curve
Cameras cut backstage where Will Irwin has caught up with Bailey Mayhew.
Will Irwin: Ladies and gentlemen as you can see, I'm here with a former EW star, Bailey Mayhew. Bailey, you were one of EW's brightest stars, and you now find yourself here on BWF Havok. Can you explain to us the transition from the EW Warehouse to now full fledged arenas?
Bailey Mayhew: I've faced a similar transition in the past, and I feel this one is kind of similar.
Will Irwin: And what was that transition?
Bailey Mayhew: Minecraft.
Will Irwin: ...Minecraft?
Bailey Mayhew: That's right, Will, Minecraft. There I was, sitting in my room, playing Minecraft on Xbox 360. Hours upon hours of building, mining, exploring, cursing at creepers. A lot of time spent learning the game and figuring out how it works. And that's when I discover... the PC version of Minecraft. The PC version has sooooo much more content than the console version. I took the leap to the PC version and was blown away by it. So many more possibilities. Of course, there's also a bit of a learning curve, for example having to manually craft items rather than them being auto-crafted. The point I'm trying to make is, EW is like the console version of Minecraft. It was a lot of fun and I have many fond memories and it will always hold a place in my heart, but BWF is like the PC version in the sense that there's more opportunities for me here. Granted, these days the console version is almost on par with the PC version, but I'm of course referring back to when it was further behind. That's in terms of in-game content though, PC version still has infinite worlds and mods and more customizable resource packs and skins and all that which console doesn't have. You get what I'm saying, right Will?
Will Irwin: I have no idea what you're talking about.
Bailey Mayhew: You're an alright guy, Will. Let me know if you ever wanna play together, I'll whitelist you to my server and I'll let you stay in my house until you get your own built. Just don't be a griefer. I might even let you borrow my elytra from time to time, but if anything happens to it, I'll swear I'll never play with you again. In fact, maybe I'll just keep it in my Ender Chest where I'll know it's safe. Catch you later, Will.
Bailey skips away, leaving a somewhat confused Will Irwin behind.
Masterson stood in the ring and shouted about the Pain Train before Chaney came to the ring. Chaney slowly made his way down as he just shook his head at Masterson. He climbed through the ropes and Masterson attacked before the bell sounded. He landed quick right hands to the head of Chaney and pulled him through the ropes. Masterson hit the ropes and came back with a dropkick as the bell sounded to start the match. Chaney got to his feet and took a forearm to the face.
Scott Parker: Caleb Masterson is trying to attack Allen Chaney with a fury to that Allen CAN’T attack him.
Gemma Foster: Bold strategy, Scott. Let’s see if it pays off.
Nick Webb: Caleb better hope it does or Allen might destroy him.
Chaney was set up for a suplex but blocked it. Masterson tried again but Chaney countered into a suplex of his own. Masterson stood up and walked into a kick to the gut that allowed Chaney to deliver the Set Up (Double Arm DDT). Chaney screamed as he pulled Masterson to his feet and delivered the Punchline (Package Piledriver) and covered for the win.
WINNER: Allen Chaney, via pinfall 4:24
Chaney teased an attack after the match was over but rolled out of the ring as the referee stood between he and Masterson.
Greatest. Ever.
The scene fades into the interview set, where we see a close up of Will Irwin.
Will Irwin: Hello Havok fans, my guest at this ti--
Voice: Ugh, you're already boring me.
The camera zooms out to see a brunette woman who many fans would recognize to be Caitlin Shay.
Caitlin Shay: I know you're about to ask me a bunch of stupid questions, which is why your service isn't needed. That's right, in case you didn't know, I was once an interviewer and I assure you, I'm far more superior at this job than you are so, I'll take this...
Caitlin grabs the microphone from Will. She starts to push him off frame as she continues to speak.
Caitlin Shay: ...and you can hit the bricks.
Once Caitlin fully removes Will from the frame, she stands on the camera left side, makes sure her hair is alright, and begins to speak again.
Caitlin Shay: Hello ladies and gentlemen, I am the great Caitlin Shay, and I have a very special interview lined up for you. That's right, I was able to secure the greatest guest in BWF interviewing history, ladies and gentlemen please welcome the often imitated but never duplicated, the incomparable, the most talented person in the entire BWF, CAITLIN SHAY!
Caitlin takes a step to her left, now standing on camera right.
Caitlin Shay: Thank you, Caitlin, it's a real honor to be your first guest on Havok. Might I add, your make-up is soo cute.
Caitlin steps to her right.
Caitlin Shay: Thanks Caitlin, but enough about me, let's talk about you. Now, anybody with half a brain knows who you are, but of course, you aren't in AXW anymore. You're in BWF, a lot of new eyes are on you, so would you care to explain who you are to any loser waste of space morons who don't know you?
Caitlin steps to her left.
Caitlin Shay: I suppose I could. My name is Caitlin Shay, which if you didn't know by now, maybe you should clean your ears out. No, not with q-tips, those can rupture your ear drums. My career started in Alternative Xperience Wrestling, where I was bland ol' interviewer like whoever that guy was that was boring me to death moments ago. AXW went on hiatus and I spent a few months in a dreary craphole people call England, where I was bland ol' wrestler just like everyone on this roster not named Caitlin Shay. I went back to AXW when it re-opened, and that's when the true Caitlin Shay that you've all come to know and love came to be.
Caitlin takes a step to her right.
Caitlin Shay: Pardon me, but if I could interject for a moment, it was then that you became the Greatest AXW Women's Champion Ever. Of All Time.
Caitlin takes a step to her left.
Caitlin Shay: Indeed, but I understand that I can't really use that phrase here anymore. I'll always be the Greatest AXW Women's Champion Ever. Of All Time. But now that I'm here in BWF, I am officially the Greatest BWF Wrestler Ever. Of All Time.
Caitlin takes a step to her right.
Caitlin Shay: That's an unarguable fact, you are the greatest competitor in all of BWF. Your first taste of BWF was when you spent a hot minute in the now defunct Empire Wrestling, and when this whole draft came around, BWF recognized that you are truly their biggest star, and thus granted you your choice of brand. So here you are, on Havok, do you care to explain why you selected the orange brand?
Caitlin takes a step to her left.
Caitlin Shay: Well, it's simple, as I stated I am the best wrestler in all of BWF history, and therefore the face of BWF, and where would the face of BWF be other than on the flagship show? On January 30, I was sitting in a Starbucks in Florida--the only place in the world worth being in--drinking my venti iced skinny hazelnut macchiato with sugar-free syrup, extra shot, light ice and no whip, watching as Havok picked 24 Caitlin Shay wannabes. It's only fitting that the real Caitlin Shay come to Havok and carry this brand on her back.
Caitlin takes a step to her right.
Caitlin Shay: Thank you for allowing me your time, Caitlin, I know you're a very busy woman, so I'll let you be on your way.
Caitlin takes a step to her left.
Caitlin Shay: Thanks, Caitlin, it was our pleasure.
Crowning a Champion
Nick Webb: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Havok Commissioner, Gabe Shelley!
The fans rise to their feet in cheers as “In Fate’s Hands” by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus kicks up and a suited Gabe Shelley makes his way to the ring. He shook hands with the crowd along the ramp as he made it down to ringside.
Scott Parker: Gabe Shelley making his BWF return as the Havok Commissioner here tonight. He has experience running BWF, most notably during its AoWF days.
Nick Webb: Director Slayton has faith in Gabe to help return BWF to its prime.
Shelley stands in the ring where a table is set up, something under a sheet which one can guess it’s a championship.
Gabe Shelley: It sure feels great to be standing in this ring tonight. It’s been almost a year since I’ve last stepped foot in a BWF ring and while it might be in a different suit, I’m proud to be doing what I’m doing. When Slayton approached me to do this I jumped at the opportunity. I looked over the members of the BWF, EW, and Mystic rosters and knew exactly who I wanted to lead this show. Admittedly there are a few that got away from me but our core is solid. Picking Fenryr first was no mistake. Despite our past I know he is one of the best in the business today. Picking a talent like Sabrina Scott had purpose. Picking a champion like the EW Heavyweight Champion Ben Macbeth was purposeful. People like Karloff, Grey, Sato, and Mayhew are young talents in BWF and have such a bright future.
The fans cheer in agreement.
Gabe Shelley: There’s a man walking around backstage with a Heavyweight Championship and this show needs a champion to represent it. I sat and thought about this Havok World Championship and there is a man deserving of it. He’s defeated all comers, he’s held Empire Wrestling’s Heavyweight Championship with a tight grasp.
Before he could say another word, Ben Macbeth made his entrance to the stage to a loud reaction. There was some mixed cheers as he held the EW Heavyweight Championship on his shoulder. He made his way to the ring and rolled in and walked around. He stopped near Shelley and looked over at the covered championship.
Gabe Shelley: Mr. Macbeth. The man that I was speaking of. Now, you’re definitely deserving of this new championship.
Macbeth starts to walk over to the covered belt but is stopped.
Gabe Shelley: You didn’t let me finish though. After the draft I had considered making you the guy, making you the champ. I know you have the ability to carry this brand. I have no doubt about that. At the same time though I think you’d love a chance to prove yourself and I know these fans would love to see a champion earn it. A brand new championship that’s crowned in an amazing five star match.
The fans start to cheer, wanting a match. The lights went out for a few moments and when they came back up, Martin Karloff was standing in the ring behind Macbeth. The fans roared as Macbeth smiled and turned to face Karloff. He dropped the EW Heavyweight Championship and the two started to brawl. Macbeth pulled Karloff into position for a German suplex but Karloff spun away and tackled Macbeth through the ropes. Trainers pulled the two men apart as Shelley watched on.
Gemma Foster: Macbeth versus Karloff at Hearts on Fire? What a main event!
We got another look at Macbeth smiling as Karloff was pulled away.
I belong.
The camera fades in. We are immediately treated to a shot of Misha LeCavalier’s face. She turns a bit and looks directly into the camera.
Misha LeCavalier: Last May, I picked up my career, my life, and traveled to New York in order to work for Empire Wrestling. At the time, that was the best way to into Blazenwing. My family and friends told me to reconsider my decision. I had dominated in Inferno Wrestling before it closed; so some people saw Empire as a bit of a step backwards. Nonetheless, Blazenwing was where I wanted to be; and so, I made the jump.
She ran her fingers through her hair.
Misha LeCavalier: Throughout my tenure in Empire, I went undefeated. Some people might put a lot of stock into that fact, and it might not mean a damn thing to some. However, the fact of the matter is I walked out each and every night with the intent to kick ass and prove that I belonged on the main roster.
Misha pauses for a second.
Misha LeCavalier: And here I am as we speak, a member of the Blazenwing’s Havok brand…
Her voice trails off as a look of disdain crosses her face.
Misha LeCavalier: You know it’s funny how you can one can defeat everyone that’s thrown at them, and still be picked number eighteen. It’s funny how one can bust their as night in and night out, only to not be included on the supershow or the following Havok.
She shakes her head.
Misha LeCavalier: I certainly see how this is going to have to be. Very well.
Misha nods her head.
Misha LeCavalier: There is a reason why I’m a nine year veteran. There is a reason why I’ve torn it up in various promotion all across the U.S. and the U.K. And there is a reason why Empire Wrestling hired me in the first place. I have a desire and hunger that’s unmatched—and I suppose I’m just going to have to introduce both aspect of my nature to this roster.
The camera fades out.
The two makeshift tag teams were set for action after things cleared out after the last segment. Hayashi and Knight started things off in back and forth action. Knight and Hayashi exchange a few arm locks and arm drags to some cheers from the fans. Hayashi charged right into a hard chop across the chest that dropped her to the mat. Knight pulled her to her feet and connected with a swinging neckbreaker. Knight rolled away and made the tag to Mayhew. Mayhew jumped into the ring and caught Hayashi with a snapmare and followed it with a dropkick to the back as Hayashi sat up. Mayhew locked in a dragon sleeper on Hayashi and lifted her to her feet. Mayhew looked for a reverse suplex but Hayashi flipped behind Mayhew and landed on her feet. She turned and made a tag to Destiny Maverick. Maverick jumped off the top ropes and caught Mayhew with a flying side kick and was fired up. Mayhew rolled to her feet and sent Maverick into the corner. Maverick ran up the corner and looked for a flying leg lariat but Mayhew rolled forward and out of the way. Mayhew tagged to Knight who jumped into the ring. Mayhew grabbed Maverick and looked for the Into the Sunset (Asai DDT) but Maverick reversed into a German suplex. Maverick tagged out to Hayashi. Hayashi hit Mayhew with the Grapey Marshmallow Fizz (Shining Heel Kick). Knight lifted her up and hit Hayashi with the Knightfall (Go To Sleep). Knight went for a cover but was pulled out of the ring by Maverick.
Maverick landed a blow to Knight but was then pushed backwards into the announce table. The referee yelled at Knight to get back into the ring but she landed a series of hard right hands to Maverick as she fell to the ground, her back pinned against the table. The referee left the ring and tried to get Knight to stop but she wouldn’t relent and he called for the bell.
WINNERS: Destiny Maverick & Akemi Hayashi, via DQ 8:04
Gemma Foster: Looks like the referee is throwing the match out.
Nick Webb: Kira Knight is fired up right now. She is still pounding away at Destiny!
The referee pulled Knight off Maverick and Hayashi came to check on her partner. Mayhew stood in the ring and couldn’t believe Knight cost her the match.
Tryout and a Test
We’re backstage in the office set up for Gabe Shelley. He’s flying through signing paperwork and looking over contracts as there’s a knock on the door. A young woman pops her head in the door and looks at Shelley.
Aide: Mr. Shelley, there’s someone here for you.
Gabe Shelley: AJ! Come on in!
The fans cheer as they expect AJ Adams to walk into the room but Shelley looks puzzled as EW’s senior interviewer Kevin Olson walks in instead.
Kevin Olson: Mr. Shelley, I know I didn’t have any sort of appointment but I was hoping for a moment of your time.
Gabe Shelley: Shoot. What can I do for you?
Kevin Olson: An opportunity. I didn’t bring a resume or anything but I’m really hoping to be able to provide my services to BWF now. I know Don McMichael has gone to Mayhem to work and I figured you could use a hand.
Shelley takes just a moment to think it over and nods.
Gabe Shelley: How about a tryout? I need someone to go talk to Sabrina Scott here in a bit. Take it and we’ll play it by ear.
Olson steps up to the desk and shakes Shelley’s hand.
Kevin Olson: I won’t let you down, sir.
He exits the room and just as the door starts to close it swings open and in walks Emily Corlen. He lets herself in and leans onto Shelley’s desk.
Gabe Shelley: What’s up, Em?
Emily Corlen: What in the heck is this match I’m in tonight? It’s bad enough I had to wait until when I did to be drafted but come on. A handicap match against Queens Nobodies?
Gabe Shelley: Consider it a test. I know damn well you are upset about when you got drafted. So take this match and show everyone you should’ve been drafted sooner, right?
She rolls her eyes and stands up.
Emily Corlen: I’m being tested now?
Shelley goes to speak and Corlen walks out of the room as we cut away.
Warn on Mayhem
Open to the Havok interview area where Will Irwin stands besides a tall Japanese man, his eyes intense, dressed in a black sleeveless jacket. Beside him stands a shorter man, face covered in a black mask. Despite his stature, he exuded an aura of confidence.
Will Irwin: I am standing here with have the newest signee of Havok. All the way from Osaka, Japan, Ryuu Nozaki and….
Before the sentence could be finished the masked man seize the microphone from the staffer.
Kumo: Actually, if you don't mind, I am Kumo.
Contrary to his prior statements he cared little just a fair-minded. His posture made it clear that the fans and the staff we're on his time. And he was not going to waste it which flowery introductions.
Kumo: Let me tell you about the enigma that serves as commissioner of Mayhem. For she is not a mystery to me. And to the man beside me, he knows her most. The man who stands beside me is the twin brother to Momo. Ryuu is a good brother. Simply trying to teach his sister a lesson. Ryuu was born with a massive weights of responsibility on his shoulders. Momo, however, has not. Whether she was to pursue a career in wrestling, or being an international pop star. She never once knew the burden of failure. She never knew the pain of consequence. Ryuu and I sought to teach her that lesson. But at that moment she fled.
Ryuu silently stared into the camera arm stuck behind his back.
Kumo: Ryuu has been disciplined always life. Whether it be countless hours of martial arts. Tyrannical scrutiny of his education. All with the future leering over his shoulders. One day it will be his time to maintain and expand the family's empire. So Ryuu has decided that he shall let Momo sample the pressure. We are going to destroy Mayhem. Destroy Momo’s domain. In the ratings, in talent, we of the Akuma clan will utterly defeat whatever she tries to muster. You fellow members of Havok are cordially invited to join us. Hinder us, and you shall be destroyed as well. Have a splendid day.
Kumo tossed the mic back to Will as he exited the stage with Ryuu.
Corlen stood at the top of the ramp as Queens Soldiers stood in the ring. She looked down at them and started saying something to herself and turned away.
Nick Webb: I think Emily is saying this is a waste of her time.
Gemma Foster: She’s a former World Champion. She probably thinks she should have better competition.
Erwin climbed out of the ring and went for Corlen but she turned around and clocked him with a right hand. She grabbed him and delivered the Foregone Conclusion (Skull Crushing Finale) on the ramp. Damian jumped out after his brother and began to brawl with Corlen. She was tossed into the ring and he went after her. Damian lifted her up and delivered a suplex. Corlen rolled out and grabbed a chair and tossed it into the ring. Damian picked up the chair and was ready for a fight. The referee tried to take it away and Damian accidently pushed him away and the bell sounded to end the match.
NO CONTEST
Scott Parker: The referee is throwing this one out before it gets out of control.
Corlen laughed and walked up the ramp and into the back.
The Bubbliest Elephant in the Room
The camera shifts backstage, where we join new Havok interviewer Kevin Olson.
Kevin Olson: Ladies and gentlemen, at this time, please welcome my guest... Sabrina Scott.
The camera pans over to the left, where Sabrina Scott bounces into the frame. The crowd pops as Sabrina grabs Kevin in a huge hug, and then takes a step back, grinning.
Kevin Olson: Sabrina, you seem to be in high spirits tonight!
Sabrina Scott: Heck yeah, I am, Kev! Oh, uh, sorry for the language. And can I call you Kev?
Kevin Olson: (laughs) Of course.
Sabrina Scott: Awesome! And going back to your question, you're darn tootin' I'm in great spirits tonight! BWF IS BACK! I got drafted to Havok at Number 2! And, AND, I'm competing in the main event tonight! Life is AMAZING, Kev!
Kevin Olson: Are you disappointed at all that you won't be involved in crowning what appears to be the first Havok World Champion in two weeks at Hearts on Fire?
Sabrina Scott: Naaahhhh. Let Benny and Marty fight over the new Championship at Hearts on Fire. I have my own unfinished business to attend to in Albany, but let's not dance around the issue, either - after I finally defeat Fenryr and put him in my rear-view mirror, I'm coming for whoever the Havok World Champion happens to be. In fact, after I win at Hearts on Fire, the first thing I'm doing after drinking some water and eating a handful of marshmallows is officially challenge the Champion for a title match at Happenstance.
Kevin Olson: Oh, is Happenstance coming after Hearts on Fire?
Sabrina Scott: Yeah, don't you read the memos, Kev? Or the e-mails?
Kevin Olson: I... I mean, I might not be CC'ed on those yet, I'm not sure.
Sabrina laughs, snorting softly.
Sabrina Scott: I'm just funnin' with you, Kev! Don't worry 'bout it. Anywhoozle, tonight's not about the Havok World Championship. Tonight's about one super awesome tag team main event that's going to blow the roof off of the arena! I get to team with the crazy ball of yarn that is Martin Karloff and take on the Dr. Evil to my Austin Powers, Fenryr Wulfsson and his partner, the final EW Heavyweight Champion, Ben Macbeth. This upcoming weekend, You, Me and Everyone We Know is playing their final show in Chicago, and I will so totes be there to see them off, but TONIGHT, you, me and everyone we know is gonna be tuning into Havok to see Sabrina Scott and Martin Karloff show the world that we run this show, not Mr. Clockwork Orange OR the frost giant from Thor!
Sabrina pauses for a moment.
Sabrina Scott: Was that too mean? I feel like maybe that was too mean.
Kevin Olson: I thought it was funny.
Sabrina Scott: Yay! You're alright, Kev. We're gonna be super friends!
Sabrina grabs Kevin in another hug.
Sabrina Scott: Alright, Kev, I'll see you later tonight... maybe you can interview me again after Marty and I win!
Kevin Olson: Oh, uh, hang on, I still have a question.
Sabrina, who has started to walk away, stops and spins back around.
Sabrina Scott: Oh! Oh gosh, I'm so sorry! I thought you were done! What's up?
Kevin Olson: At the culmination of last week's Havok/Mayhem Supershow, AJ Adams made a surprise return to the BWF. Your history with AJ is well known by the BWF fans, and in fact, we hadn't seen Adams since you defeated him for the BWF World Championship nearly one year ago at Hearts on Fire in 2016.
The climate of the interview changes almost immediately. Sabrina looks instantly uncomfortable and shifts uneasily.
Sabrina Scott: Um... yeah. T-that's not really a question, though. Can I go?
Kevin Olson: Oh, right, the question, sorry. Still getting used to the big leagues. Have you had a chance to talk to AJ since he returned? Rumor has it he's here tonight, and my sources tell me he may be signing with Havok, if he already hasn't.
Sabrina Scott: ...n-no... no, I haven't. I'm gonna... I have a match to get ready for. Thanks for the interview, Kevin.
Sabrina clears her throat and quickly exits the scene, looking a bit unsettled by the shift in questioning. Kevin watches her go and frowns softly, perhaps wondering if he went too far, as Havok fades to commercial.
We were at the part of the show where our main event was set to take place but things took a turn. Sabrina Scott made her way to the ring first to loud cheers as she awaited her partner and opponents. There was a buzz as Fenryr Wulfsson came through the crowd behind Scott and jumped her in the ring. He clubbed her with a double axe handle to the back of the head and kicked her as she was down. Fenryr pulled Scott to her feet and lifted her up for My Nine Days (Two-handed Suspended Choke Hold) and then turned it into a two handed chokeslam after Scott looked to be unconscious.
Scott Parker: Fenryr Wulfsson is taking out his aggression on Sabrina Scott.
Gemma Foster: No, Scott. I think he’s trying to get AJ out here. He’s hoping that AJ appears so he can get a swing at him.
The fans cheered as Martin Karloff rushed to the ring to make the save. Karloff and Fenryr started to exchange lefts and rights but Fenryr powered Karloff into the corner. Fenryr began to drive his shoulder into the cornered Karloff. The fans boo as Fenryr pulled Karloff out of the corner and hit him with a snap powerbomb. Fenryr turns back towards Scott as Macbeth has slowly made his way to the ring and has jumped up onto the apron in his corner. Fenryr got close to Scott and the fans roared as she was pulled out of the ring by AJ Adams.
Gemma Foster: It’s AJ Adams!
Nick Webb: He’s once again coming to the aid of Sabrina Scott.
Adams jumped into the ring and went toe to toe with Fenryr as the exchanged lefts and rights. Fenryr looked for his Maul (Double Axe Handle) as he ran at Adams but Adams ducked it. He spun Fenryr around and hit the Last Call (Codebreaker). Fenryr just staggered and didn’t fall. Karloff planted his feet and hit Fenryr with the Sine Oculus (Pele Kick) but he still wouldn’t go down. Adams grabbed Fenryr and hit him with the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail). Macbeth watched on and yawned as the two men finally took down Fenryr. Macbeth grabbed his EW Heavyweight Championship and pointed to Karloff as he left. Karloff covered Fenryr and Adams counted to three in a faux win.
Nick Webb: Fenryr is NOT going to be happy. First AJ gets involved here and then Macbeth left him high and dry.
Adams looked out to Scott who had gotten back to her feet and watched on as Adams stood in the corner. Fenryr rolled out of the ring and was met by Rune who shouted at the referee at ringside and then at Scott. The show ended on Karloff looking up the ramp at Macbeth holding the Heavyweight Championship in the air.
