The New GM - and a Major Announcement
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, at this time, please allow me to introduce you to the new BWF General Manager...
There is a decent-length pause; fifteen to twenty seconds, awaiting the reveal of the new General Manager. Finally, music hits the BlazenTron -
- and after the music reaches the :34 mark, the words "KATIE SHELLEY" explode onto the BlazenTron and the Cape Town crowd starts cheering loudly as the former AXW Champion walks out onto the stage, her famously pink hair dyed back it's natural shade of brown.
Nick Webb: Look, Rayne! It's Katie James! Er, Katie Shelley! Man, that's tough getting used to.
Rayne: I still think of her as Starla Gardevoir. Also, is she coming down to the ring with The Lonely Island playing? FINALLY, an authority figure with taste! HA!
Katie makes her way to the ring, high fiving a few fans before entering. She is handed a microphone as the music fades.
Katie Shelley: Cape Town! How the fuck are ya?
Cheap pop.
Katie Shelley: In case you don't know me, allow me to introduce myself. I am Katie Shelley; middle sister of the James family. BWF Hall of Famer. 2006 Gauntlet Run Sole Survivor. 2011 Happenstance Queen. Former AXW World Champion. Gabe Shelley's wife... and as of, oh, a month or so ago? His baby mama.
She smiles happily.
Katie Shelley: So, obviously, I'm not wrestling for a while. But, when the Wyatts called me personally to offer me this position, I... well, I was kinda looking forward to relaxing at home for the next year, but Gabe was all "sweet, more income for the household!" So, y'know.
She chuckles.
Katie Shelley: I'm kidding, I'm kidding. BWF is where I made my professional in-ring debut waaaaaay back in 2005. It will always be home to me, and if there's anything I can do to help the company out, I'm on it like Sonic on a chili dog.
She smirks.
Katie Shelley: SO. The Wyatts are not here tonight, but they send their regards. They're still healing up after AJ Adams went all postal on them a ways back, so I'm not sure if this position is permanent or just until Jacky W. can walk again, and frankly, I didn't ask. I'm just gonna enjoy it while it lasts, and with that, there's a HUGE announcement that I'm SUPER excited to get to reveal to all of you. First, Mr. Mathews, would you join me out here?
"Still Counting" by Volbeat hits the BlazenTron and after a pause, Luke Mathews walks out, still in his ring gear after competing on Breakthrough, and carrying his new BWF Trios Title with him. He enters the ring and shakes Katie's hand, still smiling after his win.
Luke Mathews: Your hair isn't pink anymore. Are we getting crazy Katie James from EWS again?
Katie Shelley: Well, hey, pregnancy hormones... so yeah, probably.
She laughs.
Katie Shelley: For those of you unaware, Luke Mathews, in addition to being a phenomenal BWF Superstar and one-third of the NNNEEEWWW Trios Champions - grats, bee tee dub - runs things over in AXW where I was just World Champion. It's a fantastic company, you can see all of the events on the BWF Network, and I highly recommend them. Especially because if you DON'T watch AXW, the next month is going to be a bit confusing to follow.
Luke Mathews: Last year, when EWS closed, AXW split off on its own once again, but we might not have lasted without the funding of the Wyatts and the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation. Ours is a mutually beneficial relationship - BWF helps make AXW better, and AXW helps make BWF better. But the fans keep asking... which federation is better? After deliberation with the Wyatts and Miss Shelley here, I believe we're ready to find out.
Katie Shelley: Please, call me Katie!
She smiles at Luke.
Katie Shelley: On Monday, June 27, BWF is dropping Vertigo from the yearly calendar and, instead, hosting a special event to find out which company reigns supreme - AXW or BWF. The event will be called AXW vs. BWF: Domination, and it represents the pinnacle of the working relationship between the two companies.
Katie motions to the BlazenTron, where the poster for the event pops up.
Luke Mathews: The main event of the evening will see two teams of five, one hand-picked by myself to represent Team AXW, and the other, hand-picked by Katie to represent Team BWF, as they face off in a BWF elimination Survival of the Sickest Match. The winning company will receive bragging rights as the best of the two companies for 2016.
Katie Shelley: In addition, the rest of the card will feature BWF and AXW superstars clashing in a number of competitive contests, including - and I am SUPER excited about this - both the BWF World Title on the line against an AXW superstar, and the AXW Championship on the line against a BWF superstar!
Luke Mathews: As for who those challengers will be, stay tuned to AXW and BWF programming as we get closer to the big event for more!
Katie Shelley: Thank you everyone, I hope you enjoy the show tonight, and on June 27, things are gonna explode!
"I'm So Humble" by The Lonely Island feat. Adam Levine hits the BlazenTron as Luke Mathews and Katie Shelley both exit the ring.
Nick Webb: What a huge way to kick off Tainted Twilight! We've got a new General Manager in Katie Ja-sorry, Shelley, and we're going to have a HUGE June pay-per-view pitting Alternative Xperience Wrestling against the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation!
Rayne: That's gonna be great! But... what happens if an AXW superstar wins the BWF World Title?
Nick Webb: Better - what if a BWF superstar wins the AXW Championship?!
Rayne: Ooh, I like that one a lot more. Let's do that one!

Destiny Figgins: ...hey! Ali!
The crowd cheers as Alison walks into frame - though, not as loudly as they did when Destiny appeared moments before. Alison looks around uncomfortably as Des shifts, trying to remain in Alison's line of vision.
Destiny Figgins: Ali, hey. I've been trying to talk to you for weeks. You won't return my phone calls, my texts... heck, you won't even tweet me back. Is everything alright?
Alison, still refusing to make eye contact, grunts softly.
Destiny Figgins: Is this about earlier tonight? Hey, so you lost a match. No big deal, really! You'll get another shot at Danny, I'm sure of it, and when you do -

Alison James: Do yourself a favor, Miss Figgins. Keep your eyes facing forward and worry about yourself. It is what you excel at, after all.
Before Des can reply, Alison pushes herself past her former partner, walking out of frame. Destiny watches her go, furrowing her brow.
Destiny Figgins: ...Alison...

Gein went into a cover and almost had three before Nael put Blazenwing’s foot on the bottom rope to break the pin. Gein got up and was distracted as he shouted at Nael. Blazenwing used the distraction and rolled Gein up from behind with a school boy pin and got a two count. Gein rolled backwards to his feet and blasted Blazenwing with 360 No-Scope! (Jumping corkscrew roundhouse kick to the face). Blazenwing fell to the mat and Gein covered to retain the championship.
WINNER AND STIL BWF SOVEREIGN CHAMPION: Spyke Gein, via pinfall 14:21
Hullum and Figgins were set to go next and neither man made it to the ring. The camera showed the backstage area and we could see Hullum and Figgins going at it. The two were exchanging blows until Figgins hit Hullum with a hard forearm to the face. Hullum fell backwards and grabbed the Money in the Bank briefcase that was on the ground. Hullum stood and leveled Figgins with the case and began to stomp on him until referees broke it up.
Fenryr and Scott stood in the ring as the BWF World Championship was shown off to the fans in attendance. As soon as the bell sounded, Scott attacked to try and get the upper hand. She connected with a step up enziguri but Fenryr rolled right back up to his feet. Scott connected with a kick to the gut and followed it up with a swinging neckbreaker. Scott pulled Fenryr to his feet and was immediately hit with an overhead belly to belly suplex. Fenryr pulled Scott up and delivered a German suplex. He slowed the match down as he delivered a few hard, clubbing blows to her back as she tried to stand. Fenryr tossed Scott into the corner. He charged and missed a corner splash as Scott dodged. She tripped him up onto the second ropes with a drop toe hold and jumped to her feet. She ran the ropes and connected with Blue Light Special (619). She waited for Fenryr to get to his feet and she jumped for the Seeing Stars (Springboard Colliding Headbutt) but he caught her with a powerbomb. He pulled Scott to her feet and she quickly pulled him down into a small package and got a two count that seemed to surprise Fenryr as he kicked out. She ducked under him and caught him with the Pocketful of Sunshine (Codebreaker to back of opponent's head). Scott rolled him into a cover and hooked a leg and picked up a two count fall before Fenryr kicked out. Scott started to pull Fenryr back to his feet and he drove his knee into her gut. Fenryr drove Scott to the mat with the Gravedigger (Full Nelson Legsweep Faceplant) and covered but only got two as she kicked out. Both were slow to get up and Fenryr was up first. Scott was right behind him and she looked for a tornado DDT but he just pushed her off. She rolled to her feet and he hit the Oathbreaker (Vertical Suplex Piledriver) and covered to pick up the victory.
WINNER AND STILL BWF WORLD CHAMPION: Fenryr Wulfsson, via pinfall 18:44
