Episode 225 - May 16, 2016
Nick Webb: We are one week removed from Danger Zone and there’s a new BWF World Champion. Fenryr Wulfsson walked into Danger Zone and dismantled Sabrina Scott and walked out the the arena with the championship around his waist.
Rayne: Fenryr was a beast!
Nick Webb: Sabrina is getting a rematch tomorrow night over on the EW Animosity Supershow.
Rayne: Sabrina should turn down the match for her own health.
Nick Webb: I don’t think she’s wired that way, Rayne. She’s going to show up ready for a fight.
Nick Webb: We also have a Sovereign Championship rematch tonight as F.M. Young will go up against the new Sovereign Champion Spyke Gein.
Turn! Turn! Turn!
Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags hits the sound system, immediately followed by the booing of the crowd. The four members of Ragnarok walk onto the stage and make their way to the ring. Eric and Fenryr hold the top and middle ropes apart for Rune and Karli, and then enter the ring themselves. Rune takes the microphone from Scott Benjamin, and Eric Ingvar stares at him with a menacing look on his face. Benjamin relents to peer pressure and exits the ring.
Rune Sigidottir: Hello everyone, and thank you for showing up tonight to see us.
The crowd boos louder.
Rune Sigidottir: I was listening to the radio in the back and a song came on the radio. It made me think of something and I just had to come out and interrupt the program to tell you all about it. It was about time, purpose, and a time for every purpose. Now it sort of got me thinking, which is what those of us with superior brains do. None of you fans would understand, and that’s okay. I’m actually not in the mood to hold it against you.
The fans get more upset. Someone throws a half-full container of popcorn into the ring.
Rune Sigidotttir: Now, as the song was saying, there is a time to gain, as Fenryr has, and a time to lose, as Sabrina has.
The crowd isn’t getting quieter.
Rune Sigidottir: I know! Don’t you just love to hate that fact? Also in the song, by the way. A time to love and a time to hate. Which brings us to tonight. Fenryr will be facing a young man named Alexander King. This is done purely out of the goodness of his heart as a welcoming gesture for this newcomer to the BWF. I hope you’re ready, King. This is a time of war, not peace. You’re stuck in the middle of it. You couldn’t have picked a worse debut match…
Eric leans over to Rune and whispers in her ear. She looks confused for a moment before speaking again.
Rune Sigidottir: Are you sure? I don’t remember that.
Eric turns away and shrugs.
Rune Sigidottir: As my…colleague has told me, apparently this is not Alexander King’s debut match. He was one of three people that stole our Trios titles at Wreckless last year, along with F.M. Young and Spykeman!.
The crowd finally cheers.
Rune Sigidottir: Why do you people love crime so much?! You’re all crazy!
The crowd begins to cheer and laugh at how easy it was to spin Rune up. She continues on through her seeming distress.
Rune Sigidottir: I did have one thing left to say before I was so rudely interrupted by all of you morons. It is time. The hour of the wolf is upon all of you.
She turns to look at Fenryr.
Rune Sigidottir: So, Fenryr, it is not time to laugh, or love, or embrace. It is time to kill.
Rune looks back to the camera, one side of her mouth rising in a smile.
Rune Sigidottir: And Alexander King…it is time to die.
Ragnarok leaves the ring as Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags plays over the system.
Archer locked up with Perez and was able to connect a few back and forth blows. Perez lifted Archer and hit a fallaway slam. Perez took control of the match and kept the rookie grounded for most of the match. Archer hit Perez with a superkick and turned things around. Archer popped up to her feet but was blindsided from behind by Alejandro Torres. Perez joined in and The 323 continued to attack Archer. Corlen charged to the ring and slid through the ropes and tried to break up the attack. Corlen knocked Perez off Archer but was hit with the Chimuelo (Superman Punch) by Torres. The fans roared with cheers as EW’s former Tag Team Champions Riley Rouse and Mighty Jo Young rushed down the ramp and into the ring. Rouse hit Torres with The Force (Flapjack) and he staggered to his feet to then be hit by Young’s Caught Up (Spear) before rolling out of the ring. Archer and Corlen were both back up and hit a double spinebuster on Perez and kicked him out of the ring. The Tag Team Champions Corlen and Archer stood tall alongside The Spectres as the fans cheered.

Hirano started to take over the match after ducking a clothesline and hit a crossarm neckbreaker. Hirano cranked the neck of Wall and tried to get a submission victory as he locked in a triangle choke but Wall made it to the ropes. The match came to an abrupt end as both Wall and Hirano were attacked by Ragnarok’s Frost and Ingvar. Frost hit Wall with the Afterglow (Gory Neckbreaker) as Ingvar hit Hirano with Strictly Business (Jumping Cutter).
DRAW 8:34
Da Bomb seemed highly motivated going into the match up. Corlen tried to overpower Da Bomb into the corner but was tripped up with a drop toe hold. Da Bomb rolled onto Corlen and locked in a single leg crab. Corlen was able to power herself to the ropes and got a break. The fans booed Fenryr as he made his way to the ring, holding up the BWF World Championship as he entered through the ropes. King attacked Fenryr as the bell rang and started to land kicks to the legs. Fenryr grabbed one of the legs of King and lifted him up and drove him to the mat with a spinebuster. Fenryr deadlifted King and powerslammed him back to the mat. King staggered to his feet and was hit with a big German suplex and pulled back up to his feet. Fenryr delivered a belly to belly overhead suplex on King and then walked around him. King staggered up and was lifted over the head of Fenryr with the 9-9-9 (Gorilla Press Slam). Fenryr pulled King up slowly and delivered the Oathbreaker (Vertical Suplex Piledriver) before covering in an easy win.
WINNER: Fenryr Wulfsson. Via pinfall 3:51
Fenryr pulled King up and delivered the Hel Road (Double Underhook Powerbomb) for good measure before leaving the ring with the BWF World Championship.
The fans were buzzing for the main event as Spyke Gein was set to defend his newly won Sovereign Championship against the former champ, F. M. Young. Gein hit a kick to the leg of Young before she returned the favor with a hard back elbow to the face. She jumped up and caught him with a spinning heel kick. She tried to end things early with the Dead End (Gogoplata) but Gein was able to slip free and held onto the ropes for a few moments. The two locked up and exchanged a few arm drags before Young hit Gein with a leaping DDT. Gein staggered up to his feet and moved out of the way just as Young came off the top ropes looking for a diving bulldog. She stood and held her lower back just before Gein hit Fitzsimmons Pride (Muay Thai jumping knee strike to the face). He looked for a cover but could only get two as Young kicked out. She powered to her feet and looked to lift him for a suplex but he countered and blocked it. (Cross-legged Reverse Piledriver) as she staggered to her feet but she backdropped him and fell to a knee. Gein and Young got to their feet and Young turned right into the 360 No-Scope! (Jumping corkscrew roundhouse kick to the face) and Young dropped. Gein covered and retained his championship.
WINNER AND STILL BWF SOVEREIGN CHAMPION: Spyke Gein, via pinfall 18:19
