Verizon Center, Washington DC - May 2, 2016
There’s a small video package that highlights many of the current BWF matches set for tonight’s event. Flashes of Kaito Hirano and Austin Scott going back in forth in blows turns into Jay Blazenwing in battle with Destiny Figgins. We see Allen Chaney hitting a Punchline that then turns into Da Bomb making someone submit. Flashes of Fenryr winning the Happenstance Tournament are shows before we see Sabrina Scott defeating AJ Adams to become the BWF World Champion.
Nick Webb: Welcome to the Verizon Center in Washington DC. We’re here tonight for eighth BWF Danger Zone!
Rayne: We should be in for a great night, Nick.
Nick Webb: The Happenstance King Fenryr Wulfsson gets his championship shot as he goes one on one with the BWF World Champion Sabrina Scott. Add a steel cage and you have our main event of the night.
Rayne: Tonight is also a night full of bad blood. Kaito taking on Austin Scott, Jay Blazenwing taking on Destiny Figgins, Danny Hall taking on Nessa Wall, what a night!
Nick Webb: Speaking of Hall and Wall, they’ll be kicking things off for us tonight in a “Green with Envy” match. A first of it’s kind match, for sure. The Chaos Title has been placed inside a lockbox and is sitting on top of a pole that’s set up in the turnbuckle. There’s boards around the ring, up to the bottom ropes, and the ring is filled with… green Jell-O. Yes. Green Jell-O.
Rayne: Oy vey.
Nick Webb: Somewhere in the Jell-O is the key to the lockbox and you must use it to retrieve the title.
Hall and Wall walk towards each other as the bell sounded to start the match and they both started to slip in the Jell-O. They two lock up and they quickly exchange left and rights. Hall started to slip and gets pushed on his back by Wall and he hits hard, Jell-O flew. Hall started to stand a slipped once again as Wall started to walk around slowly, looking for the key. Hall pulled the leg of Wall and she fell into the Jell-O and they rolled around as the fans laughed. They climbed to their feet and Hall lifted Wall up and dropped her with a scoop slam. Hall ran his hands through the mess of Jell-O and got the key. He turned towards the lockbox but was hit with a jumping clothesline from Wall and he dropped the key. . Hall climbed to his feet and was hit with an European uppercut and then kicked in the knee. He dropped to a knee and hit with a superkick to the jaw. Wall started looking for the key and the fans began to buzz as Karli Frost walked to the ring with Eric Ingvar behind her. Ingvar jumped onto the apron and had Wall distracted from making her way to the lockbox with the key. Frost came flying off the top ropes with the AMRAAM (Missile Dropkick) and hit Wall. Frost pulled Wall up and Wall speared her to the mat and the two ladies began to roll around in the Jell-O. Hall grabbed the key and scurried to the corner while Wall was preoccupied. He jumped to the second ropes and unlocked the lockbox and snatched the Chaos Title.
WINNER AND NEW BWF CHAOS THEORY CHAMPION: Danny Hall, via retrieval [9:09]
Nick Webb: Karli Frost sending some sort of message here tonight and Danny Hall is now a two time Chaos Theory Champion because of it.
Rayne: Let’s see if he can hold it for more than 25 minutes, HA! RUN, Danny! RUN!
Frost got to her feet and jumped through the second ropes as she brushed off a bunch of Jell-O and Wall looked around in shock. Hall jumped up and down in celebration and almost fell into the Jell-O.
Rayne: Can we get more of Nessa and Karli rolling around the Jell-O? Who do I talk to about getting that replay sent to my trailer?
There’s a brief shot backstage of Kaito Hirano talking to Mio Sakai and she appears to be giving him words of encouragement and possibly a few pointers before we go back ringside where the Jell-O mess had been cleaned up and Austin Scott made his way to the ring.
Nick Webb: Austin has a couple of wins over Kaito already but there’s a different look about Kaito tonight. Maybe a pep talk from Mio is just what he needed going into this match.
Hirano struck first as he hit Scott with a spinning back kick and followed it with a kick to the chest as Scott doubled over. Scott backed into the ropes and hit a charging Hirano with a back elbow to the face. Scott exploded off the ropes with the Straight Whiskey (Running lariat). Scott pulled Hirano up to his feet and tossed him into the corner. Scott unloaded with left and right punches to the sides of Hirano. Scott connected with a hard clothesline that dropped Hirano to the mat in a seated position. Scott looked for Goin' Muddin' (Opponent is seated in the corner, charges and connects with a running knee to the skull) but Hirano rolled under the ropes and Scott hit the corner hard. Scott staggered to the middle of the ring and Hirano springboarded and hit a DDT. Hirano pulled Scott up and landed a few kicks to Scott before delivering a blue thunder bomb and looked for a pin, getting little more than one. Both men got to their feet and Scott hit a big spinebuster. Scott slowly pulled Hirano up and looked for a powerbomb but Hirano landed punches as he was lifted up. He flipped backwards and landed on his feet and had to duck a clothesline. Hirano turned and hit Scott with a dropkick to the back and sent him into the corner. Scott charged and Hirano hit him with a running dropkick to the knees that planted him face first on the mat. Hirano rolled to the corner and grabbed the top ropes and shouted as he was ready. Scott got to his knees and Hirano looked for the Yoi Yume O (Running Knee to knelt opponent) but Scott ducked it and looked for a school boy roll up and got two. Both popped up and Scott lifted Hirano to his shoulders as he was set up for Ace in the Hole (Rikishi Driver) but Hirano fought out and to his feet. Hirano hit Scott with a kick to the knee and then hit Yoi Yume O as Scott dropped to a knee. Hirano pounded his chest and pulled Scott up before delivering Oyasumi (Fireman's Carry Overhead Kick) and covered, picking up the win.
WINNER: Kaito Hirano, via pinfall [9:44]
Nick Webb: Good for Kaito! It must feel good to get the monkey off his back and pick up a win after such a bad stretch.
Kaito rolled out of the ring and fell into the barricade and put his arms up in celebration before heading towards the back.
If Kurt wasn’t at nerves end over the result of his last two matches against Figgins. The laid back confidence of Figgins was certainly enough to set him off. Kurt Hullum was going to be the leading player in BWF, this Figgins guy was just a cocky nuisance. The best way to put a nuisance in their place was a forearm straight to the face once the bell rang. The pre-emptive strike gave Kurt an advantage at the opening of the match. Kurt managed to push Figgins into the ropes. A fluid-like headlock should help dictate things further. And it did, only for a moment. Kurt’s fleeting dominance soon became a showcase of styles. Hold for hold, Figgins and Kurt showcased their technical skills. Kurt with the various Greco-Roman holds, and Figgins with his european influenced joint holds. Two similar styles displaying twists that made them unique from one another. Of course, there was something on the line, and this fun little exchange of holds came to an end. Figgins ended off the european style grappling with a very strong style knee and quickly followed with a straight jacket suplex.
Figgins motioned to the crowd and turned his green elbow pad inside out to reveal the pink, hello kitty brand. He waited for Kurt to rise before attempting the Hello Kitty Doom Doom Train. Kurt ducked the attack. Kurt took to the ropes for his own springboard back elbow. Figgins also ducked and leaped to the second rope to hit the Leveler ( Flying reverse leg lariat). Another miss, Kurt came back with a leg lariat of his own, this one connected. The exchange of signatures got the crowd roaring. This only fueled the battle of one ups between the two. Figgins seemed to be on the way of winning it. Until he got a little too flashy when he pulled Kurt to the corner. A handspring gave Hullum enough time to get out of the way to give Figgins a shoulder full of ringpost. Of course jamming the shoulder that nearly ended his career into a steel post made this fun match take an ugly turn.
Nick Webb: This isn’t looking good for Jacob as that’s his bad shoulder.
Rayne: And Kurt knew it! He saw his opening and took it!
Kurt saw the huge target and began attacking that shoulder. Arm holds, precision elbow strikes. Figgins seemed too stunned by the pain to fight back. A snap belly to back suplex put Figgins in prime position for Hullum to lock in the World of Kurt (Gogoplata) and the bell soon rang. Kurt assured of victory until Figgins is announced the winner, and is handed the MITB briefcase. A quick replay clearing the controversy showing Kurt being pushed onto his shoulders for the three count while he applied the hold.
WINNER: Jacob Figgins, via pinfall [14:35]
Kurt looked ready to clobber Figgins for somehow stealing the win until he found the briefcase being handed back to him.
Jacob Figgins: Didn’t want it. Just wanted to see you sweat.
Kurt’s face a mixture of confusion and anger. As soon as Figgins turned his back, Kurt blasted him with the briefcase.
Nick Webb: Jacob won the match but is letting Kurt keep the briefcase and this is what Figgins gets for it?
Rayne: Kurt doesn’t like being toyed with. Also, this just in, Danny Hall has in fact passed his first reign as Chaos Theory Champion. If he is smart he won't come out challenging anyone right now and make it even longer.
Nick Webb: Leave Danny alone.
Great Advice
The camera opened up to the backstage area as we could see Kaito Hirano in the locker room, having just showered and changed into a suit. He had a smile on his face for the first time in ages as there was a knock on the door. There was a nice little cheer as Mio Sakai poked her head through the door with her hands over her eyes.
Mio Sakai: Kaito-san, can I come in?
Kaito Hirano: Hai. Of course.
Sakai removed her hand and smiled as she pushed the door open and started to jump up and down.
Mio Sakai: I told you that you could do it, Kaito-san! You got out of your head and into your match and you beat Austin Scott just like I told you that you would.
Hirano nodded and gave her a small bow.
Kaito Hirano: Arigatou gozaimasu. You gave great advice and I owe you many thanks.
Mio Sakai: Nah! Not at all! Just glad I could help. Dad and I are going to grab a bite to eat. Want to come?
Kaito thought for a moment and gave a nod.
Kaito Hirano: That sounds nice.
Sakai gave Hirano a high-five and the two walked off.
Nael joined Blazenwing at ringside for the next match as Figgins made her way to the ring. Blazenwing said something to Figgins and then hit her with a right jab before sending her into the ropes. Figgins charged back and hit a jumping clothesline. Blazenwing rolled to his feet and Figgins charged right into a forearm to the face. Blazenwing spun around and hit Figgins with a hard discus clothesline. He pulled her back to her feet and pulled her into a suplex. Blazenwing lifted her and Figgins was able to pull herself down into a small package but only got one. Blazenwing rolled out of the ring as he and Nael talked shortly and he climbed back into the ring.
Nick Webb: Looks like Nael is giving her client some advice.
The two locked back up and Blazenwing hit a quick European uppercut and followed it up by lifting Figgins to his shoulders and delivered a fireman’s carry gutbuster. Blazenwing stood over Figgins and dropped an elbow onto her. Blazenwing pulled Figgins back up to her feet and she started to land a few quick punches and kicks. He ducked behind her and looked for a German suplex but she flipped behind him and landed on her feet. Blazenwing didn’t know she landed on her feet and turned right into the a leg lariat as she ran off the turnbuckles and turned at him. They both rolled to their feet and Figgins hit a spinning backfirst that rocked Blazenwing into the corner. She charged and hit a corner dropkick on Blazenwing. He staggered out of the corner and she started to climb to the top ropes and Nael shouted at her. Figgins paused before turning back to Blazenwing. She dove and looked for the Fiery Illusion (Swandive Elbowdrop) but he rolled out of the way. Blazenwing pulled Figgins to her feet and drove his knee into her gut multiple times. He pulled her in and delivered a wrist-exploder suplex. He pulled her back up had her locked up as he looked out to Nael and they nodded to each other. Blazenwing lifted Figgins up and delivered a brainbuster. He climbed to the top ropes and jumped, hitting the Flight of the Phoenix (Top Rope Double Stomp). Blazenwing dropped onto a cover and picked up the win.
WINNER: Jay Blazenwing, via pinfall [10:09]
Nael clapped as Blazenwing stood over Figgins briefly and climbed out of the ring and they made their way to the back.
Da Bomb circled around Chaney as the bell sounded and the match got started. The two locked up and Chaney quickly locked in a headlock. Da Bomb was able to slip out of the hold and take Chaney down with a chop block. She climbed to her feet and Chaney started to stand but took a running kick to the back of his leg that caused him to stumble. Da Bomb jumped up and took Chaney down with a neckbreaker. Da Bomb covered Chaney with a cover but he kicked out just after one. He climbed to his feet and hit Da Bomb with a hard bionic elbow. Chaney pulled Da Bomb into position and delivered a gutwrench powerbomb. Chaney pulled Da Bomb back up to her feet and sent her into the corner. He charged at her but ran into a boot to the face. Da Bomb drove Chaney to the mat with a running bulldog. Da Bomb pulled Chaney to his feet and looked for a tornado DDT but Chaney countered into a powerslam. He pulled her up to her feet and set up for the Set-Up (Double Arm DDT) but Da Bomb pushed Chaney into the corner. She jumped up and hit Chaney with a hard knee to the face. She pulled him out of the corner and looked for Bewm (Reverse Stunner) but Chaney got away.
Nick Webb: Nice back and forth action so far. Allen is really bringing it to Da Bomb.
Rayne: Da Bomb isn’t going to just let Allen walk out of here with her championship.
He hit another bionic elbow and then delivered the Set-Up. Chaney stalked around Da Bomb as he was going to look for the Punchline (Package Piledriver) but Da Bomb got free and rolled out of the ring. She took a few moments to regroup and Chaney went after her. Da Bomb turned and hit Chaney with a kick to the gut. Da Bomb bounced his head off the apron and rolled him into the ring. Da Bomb looked for a cover but only got two as Chaney kicked out. Da Bomb pulled Chaney up and hit a few hard strikes and another kick to the gut. Da Bomb jumped up and looked for a DDT but Chaney countered into a powerslam. Da Bomb staggered to her feet and Chaney had her set up for the Punchline again but the match came to an abrupt end as he was hit with a chair to the back. The fans began to boo as EW’s Christopher Vector unloaded chair shots on Chaney as the bell sounded multiple times.
WINNER: Allen Chaney, via disqualification [9:13]
STILL BWF INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION: Da Bomb
Rayne: What in the world is going on!?
Nick Webb: That’s EW superstar Chris Vector! What’s he doing here?
Vector continued to unload chair shots as the referee shouted at him. Da Bomb rolled away, shaking her head, and left with her championship. Security rushed the ring and got between Vector and Chaney as Vector laughed and jumped into the crowd. Replays aired as we saw Vector jump the barricade from the crowd and snuck into the ring.
Nick Webb: Da Bomb walking out with her championship but she looked just as confused as we are.
Dagger and Mathews stood in opposite corners as the bell sounded. They slowly met in the middle of the ring and Mathews locked her into a wristlock. Dagger tried to get free but Mathews applied a sleeper hold. After a few moments, Dagger slipped out and dropkicked Mathews in the back and he went hard into the corner. Dagger drove her knee into the back of Mathews and turned him around. Dagger put Mathews’ right leg through the second ropes and kicked his thigh hard. She started to unload with hard kicks and the referee gave her to the count of five to get him off the ropes and she broke off. Mathews came out of the corner with a slight hobble and the two locked back up. Dagger connected with another kick to the leg of Mathews but he quickly delivered a powerslam. They both climbed to their feet and Dagger hit a few more quick strikes to the leg. Mathews grabbed her and locked in a full nelson and had her in place in the middle of the ring. She started to struggle free and he delivered a full nelson slam. Mathews dropped onto Dagger for a cover but only just got two as she kicked out. Dagger climbed to her feet and looked for a DDT but Mathews reversed into a northern lights suplex. He proceeded to pull her up and delivered the Northern Trio (3 Northern Lights Suplexes) and bridged into a cover for two. They both got to their feet and Dagger quickly jumped and hit a dropkick to the leg of Mathews that then planted him on the mat. She grabbed his leg and lifted it up and drove his knee into the mat before dropping her knee into his thigh. Mathews staggered to his feet and Dagger charged and was grabbed by the throat before Mathews looked for the the Chokebuster (Chokeslam into Spinebuster) but Dagger countered into a small package and picked up a pinfall.
Dagger leads 1-0
Mathews sat up and couldn’t believe he was just pinned and climbed to his feet as Dagger got to hers. He backed into the corner and Dagger looked for a corner splash but he dodged. He ran the ropes as quick as he could and leveled her with the Tower of Power (Clothesline From Hell). He dropped into a cover and picked up the tying pinfall.
Match tied 1-1
Dagger staggered up as Mathews stood over he and he grabbed her by the throat and delivered the Chokebuster. He dropped to his knees and covered her but she put her leg on the ropes and got a cheer from the fans for her resiliency. Mathews started to pull her up to her feet and she hit a hard kick to the leg. Dagger grabbed Mathews and delivered the Beyond the Wall of Sleep (Asai DDT Set-Up into a Double Knee Backbreaker). She crawled back over to Mathews and looked for a cover and almost had three but Mathews kicked out at the last moment. Both competitors slowly got to their feet and Mathews looked for a kick but Dagger caught his leg. She kicked the back of his leg and flipped him on his stomach before locking in a STF. Mathews reached for the ropes but was too far away and finally tapped out!
WINNER IN TWO FALLS TO ONE: Dagger [17:03]
Nick Webb: What a win for Dagger!
She climbed to her feet and fell into the ropes as she watched Mathews roll out of the ring and get checked on by trainers. She put an arm up in the air as we cut away.
Your Own Good
There is a black birthday cake on a table in Fenryr’s dressing room. There is a single white candle. After a few moments, the door opens and Fenryr and Karli walk in.
Rune Sigidottir: Surprise!
Fenryr Wulfsson: What the hell is going on in here?
Rune Sigidottir: Happy Birthday, sweetie!
Rune hugs Karli, who looks at Fenryr with a very confused look on her face. Fenryr shrugs.
Eric Ingvar: Fenryr, you know Rune. She likes weird things and doing stuff that doesn’t really make sense outside of her own mind.
Fenryr nods.
Rune Sigidottir: Karli, I know it’s a little bit late on the real calendar, but your birthday is today according to the BWF calendar, so here we are!
The cake is a rectangle, with a printed design depicting the events of last year’s Danger Zone.
Karli Frost: Well, that’s a little weird but…
Rune Sigidottir: It’s not really! See, at the last Danger Zone you…
Karli Frost: No, I get it. I really do. Thanks.
Karli looks over her shoulder at Fenryr and jerks her head towards the door. Fenryr smiles and shakes his head, prompting Karli to look at him with a more pleading look on her face.
Fenryr Wulfsson: Okay. Well, I’m going to get some cups and a couple of drinks for this…party. You guys wait here and I’ll be right back. Karli?
Karli Frost: Yeah. Um, I’ll help you.
Karli follows Fenryr out of the dressing room, where Fenryr pulls a key from his pocket. He locks the deadbolt to the door from the outside. He holds the key out to Karli.
Fenryr Wulfsson: I am trusting you because you want me to get this title more than I do. Do not let me down.
Karli takes the key and slips it into her pocket. She nods.
Fenryr Wulfsson: Good. Now, go watch the match somewhere. Don’t open this door until the match is over. And do not interfere.
Karli Frost: Okay. I will…wait...and I’ll be here for you when you get back.
Karli nods again, and she and Fenryr part ways in the back.
Nick Webb: Spyke has been looking forward to this match for a couple weeks now as he was able to hand pick the match.
Rayne: Yeah, but look at F.M., she’s ready!
The two circle each other and finally lock up. Young powers Gein into a headlock and dropped to a knee as she pulled him down. She flipped Gein over onto his back and landed with hard right hands to the head. Young pulled Gein up to his feet and flipped him back to the mat with a hip toss as she let go of the headlock. Gein rolled to his feet and was hit with a running dropkick that launched him into the corner hard. He fell to the mat and slowly climbed back to his feet. Young looked for a leaping corner splash but Gein moved out of the way. He grabbed Young from behind and delivered a reverse DDT. Gein looked for a cover but Young kicked out with ease after one. They climbed to their feet and locked back up. Gein drove his knee into the gut of Young and then one to her knee. She took a knee and he landed a kick to her back before pulling her back up to her feet. Gein sent her into the ropes and Young ducked a clothesline and kept running the ropes. Gein turned and was hit with a big spear. Young looked for a cover but only got two before he kicked out. Young pulled Gein back up to his feet and she lifted him up onto her shoulders. Gein started throwing hard punches to her head and she put him back down. She seemed dazed and Gein hit a sit-out facebuster. Gein climbed to the second ropes and looked for a leg drop but Young rolled out of the way. Gein staggered to his feet as Young lifted him up and hit Boom Bow (GTS).
Rayne: That has to be it!
Young hooked a leg as she looked for a cover and Gein kicked out at two. Young made her way to the corner and climbed up to the top as Gein climbed to his feet. Young dove and looked for a crossbody but Gein rolled out of the way and Young landed on the mat hard. Gein stood beside Young as she got to her knees and landed a series of hard kicks to her back before flipping over her with a blockbuster faceplant. Gein looked for a cover and Young kicked out after two. They climbed to their feet and Young popped Gein in the jaw with an uppercut. She lifted him to one shoulder and drove him back first into the turnbuckles and then powerslammed him to the mat. Gein was pulled up to his feet and he connected with a couple punches to her gut. He started to set up for the but she fought out. She hit Gein with a hard elbow to the face and planted him with a jumping cutter. Young pulled Gein back up slowly and connected with a suplex near the corner. Young slowly climbed to the top ropes again and was ready. She was set for the Midnight Overdrive (Shooting Star Senton) but Gein was to his feet. He charged at the corner and Young jumped over him and rolled forward and back to her feet. She turned and Gein blasted her with the 360 No-Scope (Jumping corkscrew roundhouse kick to the face)! Young dropped hard to the mat and Gein dove onto her with a dove and picked up the victory.
WINNER AND NEW SOVEREIGN CHAMPION: Spyke Gein, via pinfall [19:53]
Nick Webb: Spyke did it! He just captured his first singles championship in his career!
Rayne: Young had a hard fought match and this match could’ve easily gone the other way.
Gein was handed the Sovereign Championship and he just stared at it in disbelief. He held it up with both hands and jumped up and down a couple of times. Young slowly came to and climbed to her feet. Gein and Young shared a few words before a quick handshake and she rolled out of the ring.
The fans were excited as the cage slowly lowered down and was set in place. The crowd buzzed as both competitors were introduced and they roared for Scott as she walked out onto the stage, Fenryr was met with loud boos. Scott handed her championship off to the referee as it left the cage. The two circled each other and both took a moment to shake the cage and make sure it was sturdy. They locked up and Fenryr quickly drove his knee into the gut of Scott and pushed her backwards into the corner. He started to land hard forearms and knees as he attacked unrelentlessly. He pulled Scott out of the corner and delivered an overhead belly to belly suplex. Scott got to her feet and hit Fenryr with a hard right hand but he got behind her and delivered a German suplex. He pulled her back to her feet and delivered a gutwrench suplex. Fenryr stood over Scott as she shook her head to try and shake off the attacks and got to her feet and fell into the corner. Fenryr charged and ran into a boot to the face. Scott planted Fenryr on the mat with a DDT and covered. Fenryr wowed the fans as he kicked out with authority before the referee even hit one.
Rayne: Fenryr just launched Sabrina like three feet with that kickout!
Nick Webb: Here comes Sabrina!
Scott had quickly gotten to her feet and to the second ropes as she launched herself at Fenryr with a crossbody but he caught her mid-air and delivered a fallaway slam. Fenryr rolled to his feet and pulled Scott up to her feet. He looked at her and rolled behind her, delivering another German suplex. Fenryr rolled onto Scott and looked for a cover but she kicked out at two. Fenryr climbed to his feet and Scott was up soon after. Scott charged and hit Fenryr with her step-up enziguri and the kick echoed throughout the arena and Fenryr dropped to the mat. Scott covered and only got a one as Fenryr pushed her off him. Scott looked for a school boy attempt and he kicked out right after one. They both got to their feet and Fenryr got behind Scott and hit another German suplex. Fenryr pulled Scott up to her feet and had her set up for a suplex and suplexed her back first into the steel cage before letting her fall on his shoulder. He drove her face first into the steel cage and she seemed out of it. He got her to her feet and delivered a German suplex that sent her back first into the cage.
Nick Webb: Fenryr is just picking Sabrina apart.
Rayne: Is it possible for her to tap out without being in a submission hold? Just live to see another day, Sabrina! Don’t you remember what happened the last time Fenryr was locked in a cage with someone? He almost killed a man!
Fenryr went into a cover and Scott kicked out just before three. Fenryr pulled her up by her hair slowly. Scott landed a kick to the gut and hit another step up enziguri. She was slow to get back up and Fenryr was to his knees. Scott charged and hit the Grapey Marshmallow Fizz (Shining Axe Kick).
Nick Webb: That’s one of Akemi Hayashi’s finishers!
Scott crawled over to Fenryr for a cover and got two before Fenryr kicked out. He powered to his feet, angry, and leveled Scott with the Maul (Double Axe Handle). Scott staggered to her feet and Fenryr lifted her with a hip toss and sent her back first into the steel cage.
Rayne: How much more can Sabrina take?
Scott staggered to her feet and Fenryr approached. She jumped up and hit the Last Call (Codebreaker)!
Nick Webb: Last Call! That’s AJ Adams’ move!
Fenryr staggered backwards but didn’t drop as he fell into the corner. Scott charged and jumped up, wanting a hurricanrana, but Fenryr turned it into a modified Hel Road (Double Underhook Powerbomb). Fenryr quickly pulled Scott up to her feet and lifted her up, delivering a devastating Oathbreaker (Vertical Suplex Piledriver). He dropped into a pin and got the three count victory.
WINNER AND NEW BWF WORLD CHAMPION: Fenryr Wulfsson, via pinfall [17:19]
Nick Webb: New champion! Fenryr Wulfsson has gone from Happenstance King to BWF World Champion!
Rayne: And these fans are not happy!
The fans booed as Fenryr was announced as the winner and the referee checked on Scott. Fenryr stood and the cage started to rise and the championship was handed to him. He held it up with one hand before putting it on his shoulder to boos.
Rayne: That may have been the most dominate Fenryr has ever been.
Nick Webb: He was focused and just a powerhouse tonight. It may be hard to get the championship off him. What a year it has been for Ragnarok. It was one year ago at this event that Karli sided with them and as a team it has been their year.
Fenryr had made his way on the ramp and held the title up once more before we faded away.
