Episode 221 - March 21, 2016
Nick Webb: Hello all to another BWF Havok! Tonight is a special night as we’re one week away from the 2016 Happenstance Tournament and there’s plenty of news to get to as we kick off the show. The last time we were on the air we were left with Sabrina Scott becoming the new BWF World Champion after she walked out of Hearts on Fire the winner.
Rayne: I still can’t believe she beat AJ Adams!
Nick Webb: AJ spent 199 days as champion. There was no doubt that if anyone deserved a rematch it would be him. The longest reigning champion in BWF history versus the new champion at Happenstance was all but booked. Until this was sent out about 24 hours ago.
Nick Webb: Outside of this one tweet no one has been able to contact AJ. The Wyatts have reached out multiple times via phone and have even sent people to his home in LA.
Rayne: Maybe he’s hiding from his bookie! I turned off my phone for a few days after AJ lost too.
Nick Webb: I don’t think that’s the same thing, Rayne. Anyway, with that being said, tonight the Wyatts have booked a battle royal to determine the next contender for the BWF World Championship!
Rayne: Big news!
Nick Webb: That’s just the beginning. Normally the Happenstance Tournament is stretched over multiple weeks. This year, for the first time ever, the entire tournament will happen next week!
Rayne: Bigger news!
Nick Webb: There will be 8 qualifying matches on Breakthrough next week and the final rounds will take place on the Happenstance event.
Rayne: What a way to crown a Happenstance monarch.
Nick Webb: The brackets will be released later in the week. Let’s get into tonight’s action!
Ragnarok [Karli Frost & Eric Ingvar] Vs. Brothers of Revolution [Neil Daniels & Darius Wilson]
Frost and Wilson were the first two in the ring. Wilson connected with a few quick forearms to Frost before locking up. He pulled her in for a DDT but she quickly pushed him into the corner. Frost jumped up and connected with a knee to the chest. Wilson flipped Frost over the top rope and she landed on her feet and jumped to the top ropes. Wilson turned and was hit with the AMRAAM (Missile Dropkick). Frost tagged out to Ingvar and he climbed into the ring. Ingvar and Wilson lock up and Ingvar lifted and dropped Wilson with a sidewalk slam. Ingvar pulled Wilson to his feet and onto his shoulders. He was looking for the Last Argument of Kings (GTS) but Daniels pulled Wilson off Ingvar’s shoulders. Daniels hit Ingvar with a belly to belly side slam. Frost jumped into the ring and hit Daniels with a crossbody. Wilson pulled Frost up and dumped her out of the ring. Wilson then grabbed Ingvar and positioned him for a DDT. Ingvar pushed Wilson away and hit Strictly Business (Jumping Cutter) and covered for the win.
WINNERS: Eric Ingvar & Karli Frost, via pinfall [8:33]
