Episode 214 - December 7, 2015
Nick Webb: Welcome to episode 214 of BWF’s flagship show! Last week we were live in New York City for Gauntlet Run and it was a fantastic show.
Rayne: Yes it was. AJ Adams successfully defended the BWF World Championship against an EW superstar that seemingly had his number because of the numbers game. But that’s not even the biggest news involving AJ.
Nick Webb: AJ Adams single handedly determined the main event of WrestleFest IX later this month in San Francisco. He defended the championship and then he ensured Sabrina Scott was the Sole Survivor as he attacked Fenryr Wulfsson and eliminated him from the match.
Rayne: You know that AJ, in his own messed up way, was trying to do what he thought Sabrina would want. The two have been at odds for a couple months now and he was just trying to smooth things over but just made them worse! I don’t get it! AJ is a hero!
Nick Webb: And over on the BWF Network’s Aftershock for the event we saw how pissed off Fenryr is.
Rayne: I would NOT want to be AJ right now.
Nick Webb: That’s just one of many amazing things to have happened at Gauntlet Run. If you haven’t seen it all you can check it out on the BWF Network. Tonight we have the first three qualifying matches for the Money in the Bank match that’s set to make its return at WrestleFest.
Heart
"Lights Out" by P.O.D. starts playing as AJ Adams makes his way out onto the stage. The crowd cheers - though it is, admittedly, at least somewhat mixed after his actions at Gauntlet Run, leaving Adams to shake his head and chuckle as he holds the BWF World Championship high in the air before making his way down the ramp.
Nick Webb: AJ Adams not letting the jeers of some of the Chicago faithful get to him.
Rayne: And why should he? He's the BWF World Champ! He's going to be main-eventing WrestleFest IX in a matter of weeks!
The music cuts out as AJ enters the ring and grabs a mic.
AJ Adams: I'm sorry, are some of you booing me?
The boos come through a little louder this time, though the cheers still try to drown them out.
AJ Adams: Boo me for what? For successfully retaining my World Title against one of EW's toughest teams? For being a good boyfriend and helping a damsel in distress? Yeah, I'm a real jerk.
AJ says the last line with a genuine twist of disdain. Before he can continue, however, "Had Enough" by Breaking Benjamin hits the BlazenTron and AJ turns his attention to the stage. A few moments later, AJ's girlfriend, Sabrina Scott, walks out onto the stage, looking as serious as she can muster.
Nick Webb: Sabrina Scott, the 2015 Gauntlet Run Sole Survivor, has arrived! And as promised earlier via Twitter, there are no bubbles and no hugs, not to mention a new entrance theme. Tonight, Miss Scott is all business.
Rayne: Please, the only BUSINESS she has out here is to get down on her hands and knees and beg AJ for forgiveness after she had the nerve to be mad that he helped her win one of the toughest matches in BWF! I tell ya, these Latin chicks are loco, man!
Nick Webb: Folks, send all of your hate mail to RayneIsAJerk at Gmail.com!
AJ Adams: Sabrina. Go back to the locker room. Stop ducking my calls and talk to me in person, but not out here. This isn't the place or the time for it.
Sabrina Scott: Actually, AJ, this is the perfect time for it. How DARE you?
AJ pauses before he responds, sighing.
AJ Adams: Look, Muffin -
Sabrina Scott: No no no! Don't even try to "Muffin" me. What in the hell were you thinking getting involved in my match?
AJ Adams: Are you… are you for real right now?
He shakes his head, laughing.
AJ Adams: "Thanks for helping me win the biggest match of my career, AJ!" "You're the best boyfriend ever, AJ!" "You and I are gonna tear down the stadium at WrestleFest, AJ!" That's what you SHOULD be saying right now. But how about instead, I play your game. How dare I get involved in your match? How dare you get involved in mine?
Sabrina seems momentarily confused.
Sabrina Scott: I didn't -
AJ Adams: I'm not talking about Gauntlet Run. I'm talking about Retribution. Remember, me and Allen, and SOMEONE got me disqualified. Chaney stole and destroyed my title because YOU got involved in that match.
Sabrina Scott: And I APOLOGIZED for that! Forgive me for caring! In case you don't remember, I was by your side after Allen nearly ended your career earlier this year. I took care of you, I nursed you back to health and I damn sure wasn't about to see you back in intensive care!
AJ Adams: Intensive care? Are you… do you honestly believe a word of that? The ONLY reason you got involved at Retribution was because YOU wanted revenge on Allen for hurting YOU. Yeah, folks, that's right - Little Miss Sunshine has a nasty streak. She's all Care Bears and Pokémon now, sure, but what she doesn't tell you is that she's a goddamn snake in the grass, and she'll bite you if you let your guard down!
Sabrina and the fans seem taken aback. AJ closes his eyes and takes a breath, seemingly already regretting his last statement.
AJ Adams: …okay, stop. Let's both of us calm down, take a breather, go backstage and hash this out like reasonable adults.
Sabrina Scott: No. We're WAY past calm. Rationalize things in your head however you want. The bottom line is, I interfered at Retribution to save you, whether you believe it or not. You didn't interfere in the Gauntlet Run because you wanted to save me. You did it because you didn't think I could win it on my own.
She bites her lower lip, fighting back tears.
Sabrina Scott: When you realize that the person you love, the person you're sworn to, has no faith in you… it's the worst feeling in the universe. I'd rather DIE than feel this way. I sure as hell can't be in a relationship with someone who doesn't believe in me.
An eerie silence has fallen over the crowd in attendance.
AJ Adams: …Sabrina…
Sabrina Scott: I thought you were the ONE. I… we… I gave myself to you, and this is what I get in return?
A pause.
Sabrina Scott: I didn't want it to come to this, but now, I don't see any way around it. And so we're clear, this is not Gauntlet Run Winner Sabrina Scott talking to BWF World Champion AJ Adams. This is Sabrina Delgado speaking to her boyfriend, Andrew Adams. I can't do this anymore, Andrew. I'm sorry.
Sabrina hangs her head and turns to leave the stage.
AJ Adams: Sabrina! Are you seriously dumping me because I helped you win a match? Do you not realize how insane that is?!
Sabrina, without turning around, lifts the mic.
Sabrina Scott: If you knew me, Andrew… if you GENUINELY knew me the way I thought I knew you… you would realize exactly why it isn't insane. This career, this lifestyle means more to me than you can ever understand. Since day one, I've been told I can't succeed by everybody. My parents. My friends. My co-workers. But you…
She turns to face AJ, tears streaming down her face.
Sabrina Scott: …are the only one who ever caused me to doubt myself. You were my heart, Andrew. When your own heart tells you that you can't be successful… that's it. It's over.
A pause.
Sabrina Scott: I had two options. Realize you and everyone else were right all along, give up and go back to a life I never wanted to live. Or cut my own heart out, painful as it might be, and keep soldiering on because I made a promise that I would never stop until I made it to the top of this business.
Her eyes narrow as her next words come out, cold and calculating.
Sabrina Scott: I took option two.
She pulls the collar of her shirt down, revealing a new tattoo of stitches right above her left breast.
Sabrina Scott: A reminder. Never let yourself love. They only die in the end.
She pauses.
Sabrina Scott: Or worse.
With that, Sabrina finally heads back through the curtain, leaving AJ, the Chicago crowd and the announcers stunned silent as Havok heads to commercial.
The former Tag Team Champions squared off in the ring and locked up as soon as the bell sounded. Phantom hit Dagger with a headbutt but she quickly returned with two of her own and then sent him into the ropes. Phantom ducked under a clothesline and hit the far ropes and hit a shoulder block. Dagger rolled up to her feet and hit a running dropkick that sent Phantom through the second ropes to the floor. Dagger waited for Phantom to stand and looked for a baseball slide but Phantom pulled her out to the floor and dropped her with a clothesline. He pulled her up and rolled her into the ring and followed after her. Dagger got to her feet as Phantom climbed in and she hit him with a hard uppercut. She looked for the Beyond the Wall of Sleep (Asai DDT into Double Knee Backbreaker) but Phantom pushed her away. She turned and hit another uppercut. Phantom staggered but grabbed Dagger and sent her into the corner. Phantom charged at her and connected with the Sine Gloria (Running big boot to cornered opponent). Phantom let Dagger stagger forward and fall to the mat as he started to climb the turnbuckle. He stood and looked for the Psychlotrode X (Corkscrew 630 Splash) but Dagger rolled out of the way. Dagger saw an opening and rolled Phantom up with an Oklahoma roll and picked up the win.
WINNER: Dagger, via pinfall [8:04]
Nick Webb: These two former partners each had the other’s finisher scouted perfectly but it’s Dagger that moves on to the Money in the Bank match.
Rayne: Who’s next? Can Kumquat Kid continue his singles winning ways?
Nick Webb: He sure showed last week that he’s tough as nails. So did his opponent though. Kurt Hullum entered the Gauntlet Run match at number 1 and lasted 50 minutes, making it through all competitors entering the match. We’ll find out shortly!
Wrestling Classic
Da Bomb's usual countdown intro starts briefly before seemingly 'crashing' and suddenly a new music track hits, “Witness” by Mindless Self Indulgence. Da Bomb strolls out toward the ring with a satisfied smile on her face as the music plays and just as the beat drops she jumps up on the apron and with the loud 'ooooooh' in the music she holds the International Title above her head and pyro blasts off the entrance ramp framing her in a rather large explosion. She then strolls around the ring for a few moments letting things sink in before gesturing to someone and taking a microphone as the music fades out.
Da Bomb: I'm not going to lie. Up until about now I've not been having a great month. After I put my feud with Chris to bed it was looking like things were going to go lousy. I lost to Hullum to give him a title shot for this baby.
Da Bomb pats the title on her shoulder
Da Bomb: Then I was pretty much only even on the Gauntlet Run card as a booking fluke. One of three people to get shoehorned into Kurt's match with the champ because the Wyatt's had a fun gimmick for the title. You see, folks. This is the kind of shit you have to deal with before you get established. You have to take every chance you can get. Just keep plugging away and scrambling.
Da Bomb wanders into the far left hand corner of the ring, leaning on the top turnbuckle and waiting for a few seconds with a smirk on her face as the crowd mills around restlessly, not sure where this is going.
Da Bomb: Hold on a sec everyone. I'm not playing to the hard camera so they are having to run someone around to get a good shot of my face. Best get used to following my lead.
Da Bomb looks to the camera that is eventually cut to that gives a good shot of her leaning on the corner facing out to the crowd and continues.
Da Bomb: I had to do everything I possibly could to get where I am now. I only got into the BWF because of a grassroots movement I orchestrated. I only got noticed when I came in by setting up an elaborate farce. I had to make Danny Hall entertaining to even get established around here. Do you have any idea how hard that was?
The crowd starts to key in that Da Bomb is admitting that her strange affectations that they were so fond of were a manipulative put on and boos begin to swell.
Da Bomb: Oh I'm sorry....what is that?
Da Bomb chuckles to herself and leans harder into the corner.
Da Bomb: Oh you're right. Absolutely. The skunk was really a 1000 year old luchador that fought demons in cage matches....I bought that thing on the internet. I have a bunch of spare skunks and use one as a pillow. You people act as if everything entertaining has to be in earnest. Don't you watch fictional shows?....Look I knew after my first run in the indies that no one was going to take me seriously. I'm not a bruiser. I don't fly high. I'm the best in the world at what I do, but what I do isn't high spots.
Da Bomb cracks herself up a little and then composes herself.
Da Bomb: The Wyatts should make a shirt out of that last bit...As I was saying I wasn't going to get anywhere just being a technician so I had to get popular. I made sure I got popular in a way that made me easy to underestimate. I did my best. I bided my time....
Da Bomb puts the International Title resting on the corner facing the camera.
Da Bomb: ....and that little bomb that nobody was scared of surprised everyone. Now, I have all of your fucking attention. I don't have to wait for fluke opportunities. I sniped the biggest prize in this company that isn't held by someone who ruins main events with his lover's spats. I'm the biggest legitimate wrestling threat going. I'm the second coming of mat wrestling. REAL wrestling. All I have to do is pin, submit, and laugh my way to the goddamn bank. So let's get ready for some wrestling classics.
Da Bomb tosses the mic casually over her shoulder and walks out of the ring. As expected the crowd seems less than enthused but this doesn't seem to bother her too much as we get went to commercial.
Anger Leads to Hate...
"Tattered Banners and Bloody Flags" begins to play over the sound system as Rune, Karli, Fenryr and Eric step out of the back. The four make their way to the ring with an intense air. Eric and Fenryr hold the ropes apart, allowing Karli and Rune to enter the ring. Rune makes a beeline for Scott Benjamin, holding her hand out for the microphone. Karli is inches behind her. Scott slowly backs into a corner, pressed by the pair when Eric and Fenryr join the women. Scott relents to peer pressure and relinquishes the microphone. He then gets out of the ring in a hurry. The four walk from the corner to the center of the ring, Fenryr paces behind the other three, looking more agitated and on edge than normal.
Rune Sigidottir: Good evening, Chicago. Look, I know what everyone is thinking. You're all thinking “What is that crazy woman going to do this time? What kind of plot has she masterminded in revenge for Gauntlet Run. She's already kicked a referee in the mouth once, and Fenryr has threatened to throw Don out the window of the Bellagio, what's left? Well, I'm going to do all of you a favor, I'm going to tell you exactly what my plan is. Nothing. There is no plan. At least not one of mine. Someone had a plan, and it seems to have worked. It's a little extreme, not something I would have done, but...Karli?
Karli Frost: Yeah. I think it's worked.
Rune Sigidottir: Would you like to elaborate for the fans?
Karli Frost: Nope.
Rune Sigidottir: Fair enough. So, about the main event tonight...
Fenryr rushes forward, shouldering his way past Eric and snatching the microphone out of Rune's hand.
Fenryr Wulfsson: I'll tell you everything you need to know about the main event tonight. You cheated me, Adams. You cheated me out of my shot at that belt, and tonight's match is just a gentle reminder from the Wyatt's that I don't have a shot at your title. Yeah, gentle, like getting hit in the head with a sledgehammer. Now, I don't have a problem with you Miss Scott, but there's three people behind me that would probably like nothing more than find you in a dark place with no witnesses. They don't have anything against you either, you're just the wrong person at the wrong time. Truth be told I would have just taken her apart and threw her out of the ring as violently as is allowed, but because she was actually in the match I would have at least had some respect about it. Now, I hope this thing you have going on with Adams is indeed over, because not only am I going to pop his spleen tonight, I'm also going to keep the paramedics from reaching him in time. I would just hate to hurt your feelings. Speaking of feelings...
Fenryr throws the microphone into the crowd, grabs Karli by the neck, and kisses her forcefully. The crowd flips out and, after a moment, Fenryr pushes her away and leaves the ring. Their song begins to play and Karli follows him a moment later. Then Rune and Eric, talking to each other, also exit the ring.
Scott Benjamin stands at the guard rail, waiting for the microphone to get back to him. He finally gets his hands on it and resumes his position in the ring to announce the next match.
Hullum and Lewis locked up and Lewis tried to catch Hullum off guard with quick lefts and rights before sending him into the ropes. Lewis hit Hullum with a drop toe hold and rolled right into a Boston crab. Hullum pushed off his hands and was able to roll through and land on top of Lewis for a pin attempt but only got one. Lewis climbed to his feet and charged, connected with a swinging neckbreaker. Both competitors rolled back up to their feet and Hullum caught Lewis with a back elbow that was followed by a STO. Hullum drove Lewis down with the move and locked in an armlock. Lewis was able to slip free and to his feet and hit a leaping flying forearm. He jumped to his feet and ran off the far ropes and looked for Rolling Kumquats (Rolling Thunder) and connected. Hullum staggered up to his feet where Lewis started to set up for the Pez Dispenser (Cross Rhodes) but Hullum spun away. Hullum connected with hard forearms to the face of Lewis before hitting the Crash Landing (Snapmare Driver). Lewis staggered up to his feet and Hullum locked in a sleeper hold. Lewis started to fade in front of the referee and he was checked on. Lewis was alert enough for the match to continue and rolled forward into a modified small package for a cover but Hullum kicked out just before three. They both climbed to their feet and Hullum grabbed Lewis and delivered California Dreaming (Omega Driver)! He covered and picked up a win.
WINNER: Kurt Hullum, via pinfall [9:44]
Nick Webb: I guess you can say Kurt is California Dreaming about going to San Fran. He’s going to be in the Money in the Bank match!
Rayne: HA! Another impressive showing by Kurt here tonight. You feel like he’s on the verge of really breaking out. Lewis also looked great as the Chaos Theory Champion will look to regroup next week.
Target Locked
'Move' By Thousand Foot Krutch hits and the crowd is slightly puzzled, sitting in silent anticipation. A bout twenty seconds in, F.M. Young steps out from behind the banners to a big pop. She takes some moments to flex and pose for the crowd, stopping to shake hands with a few fans. She moves up the entrance ramp rapidly. Sliding into the ring as she accepts a mic from Scott Benjamin as she finds her usual ring rope to lean on, with a sort of relaxed demeanor.
F.M. Young: Now, you all may be wondering, why I took a the time, just before a big match. To come out here solo and have a chat with you all? Showing off the new theme tune is one. Cool ain't it? Thought it fit just a tiny bit better. Enough about that though, I came out here, to discuss some things with you all and by discuss I mean I'm gonna yak into this microphone for a little while, and maybe you'll all shout back at me.
She holds up the mic from where she's leaned in the ring corner, letting the fans shout and pop for a moment.
F.M. Young: I've made it no secret that I've got a new girlfriend. *The fans briefly 'Awwww.'* With such big life changes, comes a re-evaluating, not ganna lie. I was struggling a little bit and then it hit me. You know, ton of bricks type moment. I've always been in this for the challenge, yeah sure. I've been a kick, collecting Championships, which is fun. But that's never what's it's really been about for me. Sure I fight for championships a lot, because that's where the challenge is. Most of the time anyway. I care about putting on good matches, more than I do winning. So win or lose tonight, it's not a big deal. So long as it was a good and challenging match.
She takes a moment and sort of looks out to the crowd, grinning, as she pats her Trios title for emphasis.
F.M. Young: Not that I won’t miss it if I lose, just that there are other titles to collect and more challenges to be had. I've still got this notion, to the be first person in this company to have held all the titles at some point. It's just not a main goal. Not everybody looks at that way though and I've kind of cut my teeth on getting into scraps with those people. Angel Kash for instance, walked on our first match, she thought she was better than me and that match wasn't worth her time. History notes what happened to her, I edged my way into her title opportunity and then took it away from her entirely. Karli Frost, went about the same way, she kept thinking that any win was a win. Regardless if the match sucked, because you had to bend or break the rules to win. History, noted.
She let the cheers get louder for a moment, preening for the crowd before calling for it to calm down.
F.M. Young: There's been another person I've been in a tiny bit of a hissing contest with this, over this philosophy. Brianna Park, you see, you and me. We've sort of hit the same stride, we won, we lost. We won again. More good matches, more gold for us. Except, Lil Himiko, for the fact that you seem to think your title's define you. All those world titles opportunities you had, when you finally won? When you lost? Those are all instant classic matches, you seem to think that without the belts. None of it's worth it, you couldn't get the top prize anymore. So you whined, bitched, moaned and bullied your way into the Sovereign title scene. Guess you figure if you can't have the top prize, the second prize will do? Now your waving it around, screeching from the rafters like a damn howler monkey about haters and heroes. I hate bullies, I dislike screeching and I really hate those who feel the need to lord their success, while they lose sight of what a loss can teach them. It's true, you and I are a lot a like, we're both not without gold long it seems and we're both capable of putting on instant classics. But me? I'm not about to lose sight of what that all means and I aim to shut you up in the process.
F.M. Turns looking at the WrestleFest banner and then out to the audience, and over at the Havoc Banner thoughtfully.
F.M. Young: It seems now like, Brianna Park, that you and I need to have some words. Sooner or Later. With fists. What do you say? Can you still put on an Instant Classic? Or your blind spot gotten to big? Me, I think it's the latter and if history somehow repeats itself and I end up with your gold? Well, it was on my list.
Young leaves the ring as we cut ringside.
Nick Webb: Strong words by F,M. Young. She has Brianna Park in her sights.
Rayne: Stupid if you ask me.
Nick Webb: Good thing I didn’t. This next match is a big one simply because it showcases two superstars in need of a bounce back win. Allen Chaney could not defeat Sabrina Scott, he lost to AJ Adams last month, and could really use an opportunity to get back on track. Same can be said for his opponent as Kaito Hirano comes off a chance to recapture the Sovereign Championship and could not do so.
Hirano kept his distance from Chaney and threw a few hard kicks his way that connected on the legs. Chaney grabbed one of the kicks and lifted Hirano into the corner and started to drive his knee into his gut. Chaney finished it off with a hard bionic elbow before hip tossing him to the center of the ring. Hirano rolled to his feet and dropkicked Chaney into the ropes and he fell through them and onto the apron. Hirano charged the corner and hit a triangle dropkick that sent Chaney flying to the floor. Hirano pulled himself up and hit the far ropes before flying over and crashing onto Chaney with a crossbody. Both competitors were slow but Hirano was up first and rolled Chaney to his feet. Hirano jumped to the apron and waited for Chaney to stand. He springboarded into the ring but was dropped with a powerbomb that shook the ring. Hirano staggered up slowly to his feet and was hit a bionic elbow. Chaney hit the ropes and drove his knee into the gut of Hirano that caused him to flip over Chaney’s knee. Hirano climbed to his feet and was grabbed by Chaney. Chaney looked for another powerbomb but Hirano reversed it into a headscissors takedown. Chaney rolled to his feet and took a spinning kick to the gut before Hirano jumped up and dropped him with a DDT. Hirano pulled Chaney up to his feet and hit a cross arm neckbreaker and looked for a cover for two. Chaney got to his feet and Hirano dodged a bionic elbow. Hirano looked for the blue thunder bomb but Chaney threw his elbow backwards to break away. Hirano stumbled backwards but quickly recovered and caught Chaney with a tornado DDT. Hirano fell into the corner as Chaney slowly started to come to. Chaney got to his knees as Hirano charged and hit the Yoi Yume O (Knee to Knelt Opponent). Hirano fell to his knees and covered Chaney but Chaney kicked out. Hirano started to pull Chaney up and tried to lift him to his shoulders but Chaney fought out and drove his knee into the gut and head of Hirano. Chaney hit the Set Up (Double Arm DDT) and Hirano stumbled back to his feet, Chaney following it up with the Punchline (Package Piledriver). Chaney covered and picked up the victory.
WINNER: Allen Chaney, via pinfall [13:09]
Nick Webb: And it’s Allen Chaney that will move onto the Money in the Bank match.
Rayne: And Kaito continues to slip! It has not been a few good months for Kaito. Both of his former tag partners have moved on, one isn’t even employed here now, he lost his championship, and now he’s lost a chance to be in the Money in the Bank match.
Bad Meets Worse
The camera moves backstage, where we see AJ Adams walking in a huff, obviously still upset over what transpired earlier. He turns a corner and suddenly finds himself face to face with Kim Cranston.
Kim Cranston: AJ! Please, a moment -
AJ Adams: WHAT?
Kim jumps just a bit as AJ's nostrils flare.
Kim Cranston: Sorry, I was just hoping to get your reaction to what happened out there earlier tonight with Sabrina Scott, and more recently, with Fenryr Wulfsson.
AJ's eyes narrow.
AJ Adams: You want my reaction?
Without warning, AJ grabs the mic out of Kim's hands and throws it as hard as he can in the other direction.
AJ Adams: THERE'S MY GODDAMN REACTION!
AJ shoves his way past Kim, muttering under his breath, but almost immediately stops in his tracks. The camera pans over and the fans cheer as we see Jackson and Elise Wyatt standing in AJ's way.
AJ Adams: Now's REALLY not a good time.
Jackson Wyatt: AJ, you're a BWF employee, and we, your bosses. Anytime we say is a good time, capiche?
Elise Wyatt: Jackson… don't rile him up any more than he already is.
AJ Adams: Smart lady. You should listen to her.
AJ turns to leave, but Jackson reaches out and grabs his arm. The fans "ooh" as AJ turns, gritting his teeth.
AJ Adams: (strained) What?
Jackson Wyatt: I'll keep this short. Due to your actions in the Gauntlet Run, we'll never know if Sabrina Scott was the superstar destined to win the match. As such, my wife and I decided that it was only fair if the man you eliminated, Fenryr Wulfsson, got an opportunity to earn a shot of his own.
AJ Adams: The hell are you talking about?
Elise Wyatt: Tonight, Fenryr faces you, AJ, in the main event. If Fenryr wins this match… he will be officially added to the main event of WrestleFest IX alongside yourself and Miss Scott.
The fans give a mixed reaction as AJ seems almost beside himself.
AJ Adams: Are you kidding me?
Jackson Wyatt: Not at all. And consider yourself lucky. We almost made tonight's match a straight-up title match. Good luck tonight, Champ.
Jackson slaps AJ on the shoulder, smirking.
Jackson Wyatt: You're gonna need it.
The Wyatts walk away as AJ tries to process what he's just been told. After a few moments, he flies into a rage, grabbing anything nearby that isn't nailed down and throwing it.
Nick Webb: AJ Adams' night continues to go from bad to worse.
AJ finally storms off as Havok fades to commercial.

AXW Episode #28!
Nick Webb: And we’re back, folks. Up next is the Trios Championship match as Young, Spykeman, and King will defend the titles.
It appeared that King and Figgins were the two that would start of the match after the referee showed off the Trios titles and handed them off. Before the match got underway it was pointed out that Nael was standing on the entrance ramp, dressed in a hoddie and a long shirt, and seemed to have her eyes locked on Jay Blazenwing. King and Figgins locked up as the bell sounded. King took her down with a headlock takeover and applied pressure before throwing a few punches. Figgins was able to slip away and threw a soccer style kick to the back of King. She pulled him up and hit him with a snap suplex. They both rolled to their feet and King caught her with an arm drag. Figgins made a tag to Blazenwing and it was confirmed that Nael was watching him as she looked in the ring for the first time. Blazenwing charged and hit a jumping clothesline to King. King rolled to his feet and took a jumping knee to the jaw. King crawled to his corner quickly and tagged to Young. Young met Blazenwing in the center of the ring as the two went back and forth with lefts and rights. Young hit a short arm elbow smash before dropping him with a DDT. Young pulled Blazenwing to his feet and he hit her with a jawbreaker. He caught her with a few quick kicks before he pulled her and delivered an overhead belly to belly suplex. He tagged out to James who jumped into the ring. She charged at Young and was rocked with a spear. James was pulled up by Young who them lifted her up to her shoulders. Young looked for Boom Pow (GTS) but James reversed into an arm drag. Spykeman tagged himself in and springboarded into the ring and dropped James with a clothesline. She rolled to her feet and Spykeman connected with Brightest Day/Blackest Night (STO Backbreaker into a Neckbreaker). Spykeman covered but Blazenwing was there to break it up at two.
Rayne: A match saving break up there by Jay.
King tried to enter the ring to go after Blazenwing but the referee pulled him back and told him to get out of the ring. Spykeman started to pull James to her feet and she hit a right jab before driving her knee into his gut. She followed it up with the Bleeding Rose (Sliced Bread #2) and they were both down. Young and Figgins were tagged in and Young wasted no time hitting her with Boom Pow. Figgins stumbled backwards and Blazenwing tagged himself in. Young dodged a clothesline from Blazenwing but was hit with the Full Effect (Sweet Chin Music) as she turned back around. She fell into her corner and King tagged himself in and charged. He looked for the running 540 back kick but Blazenwing dodged. King ducked the Full Effect and grabbed Blazenwing, locking in the 616 (Rolling Kneebar). Blazenwing was able to reach out far enough to tag in James. James came off the top ropes and hit King with a leg drop. He staggered to his feet and was hit with the Surface of Revolution (Corkscrew Neckbreaker) and covered for the win.
WINNERS AND NEW BWF TRIOS CHAMPIONS: Justicars of Illium & Jay Blazenwing, via pinfall [11:42]
Nick Webb: New champions! Jay and the Justicars have done it!
Rayne: Alexander King missed the tag Jay made and it gave Alison an opening.
We see Jay and Alison hug as Destiny comes and joins, the trio holding the titles. We see Nael give Jay another look before heading to the back as we go to commercial.
Coming Soon to BWF Network
Tuesday, December 22, 2015
Scott came into the match looking focused and came off intense as the bell sounded. Elena and Scott locked up and Scott exploded with lefts and rights that caught Elena off guard. Elena was pushed backwards into the ropes and Scott continued to throw right hands. The referee had to warn her to break off the ropes and she finally did so. Scott backed up and the two locked up. Elena flipped Scott to her back with a hip toss and Scott dusted herself off as she stood. They locked back up and Scott applied a headlock before flipping Elena over to her back. Elena pulled Scott away with a headscissors and Scott flipped into a bridged pin that got one. Scott and Elena rolled to their feet and both smirked at each other. They danced around each other and locked back up and this time Elena was the one that got Scott tangled up in the ropes and had to break. Elena pulled Scott away from the ropes and took her down with a Russian leg sweep and covered for one. Scott climbed to her feet and was hit with an uppercut that sent her into the corner. Elena charged and looked for the 200 Proof (Lifting Corner Knee into Monkey Flip) and hit the knee but Scott landed on her feet when flipped backwards. Elena rolled to her feet and Scott was right there to hit her with a drop toe hold that hung her up in the ropes. Scott hit the far ropes and came back with the Blue Light Special (619). Elena was sent flying across the ring and staggered up slowly. Scott springboarded in and hit Seeing Stars (Colliding Headbutt) and both were staggered.
Nick Webb: Great back and forth here between these two.
Rayne: Sabrina wants this one a lot.
Scott came to and hit Elena with a scoop slam. She looked for the Alley-Oop (Lionsault) but Elena rolled out of the way. Elena hit Scott with a running double axe handle as she stood and then finished off the Hammer and Sickle (Axehandle and buzzsaw kick combo). Elena started to pull Scott in for the Vodka Tonic (Canadian Destroyer) but Scott flipped her over her shoulders. Elena rose and ducked a clothesline from Scott. Elena looked for another Russian legsweep but took a hard elbow to the head that stunned her. It opened a chance for Scott to connect with the Pocketful of Sunshine (Codebreaker to back of opponent’s head). Scott covered and picked up the win.
WINNER: Sabrina Scott, via pinfall [11:29]
The two women climbed to their feet after the match and shared a quick handshake and hug to the delight of the fans.
Rayne: Sabrina just picked up a big time win.
Nick Webb: I think that will help ease her mind just a bit. It sure put a smile on her face.
Elena raised Scott’s hand in victory as the fans cheered them and we went to commercial.
Coming Soon to the BWF Network
ON A SPECIAL NIGHT!
Thursday, December 31, 2015
Nick Webb: It’s main event time folks! This next match will determine what we see for the main event of WrestleFest IX next month. If Fenryr Wulfsson can pick up a victory then he’ll earn a spot in the World Championship match. If AJ wins then he’ll just be defending the title against Sabrina Scott.
Rayne: High stakes!
Adams watched Fenryr climb into the ring as AJ handed off his World Championship and Fenryr never took his eyes off Adams. The bell sounded and Fenryr dropped Adams with a clothesline and pounced on him with left and right hands. Fenryr hit Adams with a hard headbutt before pulling him to his feet. He tossed Adams into the corner and started to club him with hard clotheslines. The referee forced a break from the corner and Fenryr tossed Adams across the ring. Adams rose to his feet and ducked a clothesline and hit a few quick forearms to the back of Fenryr’s head. Adams hit a belly to back suplex to Fenryr and then rolled into the corner to catch his breath. Adams grabbed Fenryr from behind as he stood and delivered another belly to back suplex. Fenryr climbed to his feet and Adams took him to the mat with a sideslam. Adams pulled Fenryr up and Fenryr exploded with a hard uppercut. Fenryr followed it with an overhead belly to belly suplex. Adams staggered to his feet and was locked in a fell nelson. Fenryr followed it up with a dragon suplex that drove Adams to the mat hard. Adams rolled out of the ring and had to regroup. Fenryr went after Adams and Adams rolled into the ring and ran off the ropes. Adams hit Fenryr with a jumping shoulder block as he had rolled back into the ring and stood. Adams pulled Fenryr up and hit a scoop slam that was followed with a jumping leg drop. Adams hooked a leg for a cover and got two. Fenryr powered up to his feet and pushed Adams into the ropes. Adams came back with a running knee to the gut and delivered a suplex after that. Adams pulled Fenryr up and hit a second suplex. Fenryr staggered to his feet and Adams looked for the trifecta but Fenryr blocked it. Fenryr countered with a suplex of his own and both men staggered to their feet. Adams charged and was rocked with a spear from Fenryr.
Rayne: Fenryr just turned AJ’s insides to mush with that spear!
Fenryr pulled Adams to his feet and lifted him with ease before dropping him with the 9-9-9 (Gorilla Press Slam). Adams hit the mat hard and staggered up slowly before getting popped with Maul (Double Axe Handle) as Fenryr came off the second ropes. Adams was up to his feet as Fenryr grabbed him and looked for the Gravedigger (Full Nelson Leg sweep Faceplant) but Adams was able to slip away. Adams jumped up and caught Fenryr with the Last Call (Codebreaker) and covered, only picking up two. Adams took a few steps backwards after standing and waited for Fenryr to start to stand. Fenryr was still bent over some and Adams connected with the Eat It (Fame Asser) and covered and Fenryr once again kicked out. Adams started to grow a little frustrated and pulled Fenryr into position for the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail). Fenryr spun away and dropped Adams with the Maul. Adams rolled to his feet and jumped up, hitting a second Last Call! Adams pulled himself into the corner and started to climb, making sure Fenryr didn’t move. Adams dove off the top and looked for Truly Awesome (Shooting Star Press) but Fenryr rolled out of the way. Adams stumbled up to his feet and right into Fenryr waiting and hitting Hel Road (Double Underhook Powerbomb). Fenryr covered and Adams kicked out at the last moment possible. Fenryr couldn’t believe it as the fans popped with cheered. Adams slowly started to get to his feet and Fenryr wanted a second Hel Road but Adams flipped him over his back. Adams turned and set up for the Legacy Maker and Fenryr once again got away with hard right hands. Fenryr lifted Adams up for a suplex and delivered the Oathbreaker (Vertical Suplex Piledriver) and covered for a win!
WINNER: Fenryr Wulfsson, via pinfall [16:22]
Nick Webb: Fenryr is going to WrestleFest! Fenryr has just booked himself a ticket to the main event and a BWF World Championship opportunity!
Rayne: I can’t believe it! I thought AJ had him for sure!
Fenryr sat against the ropes and just smiled and laughed as Adams was checked on by the referee. He crawled over to Adams and took the BWF World Championship from the apron. Fenryr held the title in his hands, looking at it, as we faded to black.
