There’s a short video to open the show as we see various items that range from Brianna Park causing Kaito Hirano to lose to Leonard Luv, to Xaria Linette becoming the top contender for the International Championship. We flash over to see Martin Karloff brawling with Omen IV before being shown brawls between The 323 and the Justicars of Illium. We’re then shown Jonathan Fhenix taking out Elena Simonova and then him fighting with Dave Slayton. Finally we see Allen Chaney curbstomping Sabrina Scott as AJ Adams is handcuffed to the ropes. The last shot focuses in on AJ Adams starring down Allen Chaney before we get taken live to the arena and a small fireworks display.
Nick Webb: Hello everyone! Welcome to BWF Retribution! We’re live here in Tokyo, Japan and we have a tremendous show for you here today.
Rayne: Whose idea was it to have a show in Japan? It’s 9 in the morning!
Nick Webb: It’s fun! It’s exciting!
Rayne: It’s early!
Nick Webb: It’s bound to be a great event as these fans are excited. First I’d like to take a brief moment to send out congratulations on behalf of BWF to Hall of Famers Katie James and Gabe Shelley as they tied the knot over the weekend.
Rayne: Seems like only yesterday Katie was pinning Gabe in the ring for the United States Championship by attacking him with a kiss. Ah, young love.
Nick Webb: With that said let’s enjoy the show!
Frost and Blazenwing were all set to start things off for their teams as the match is announced. Blazenwing locked up with Frost to get things going. Blazenwing flipped Frost over with a hip toss and locked in an armbar as he puts his knee into her shoulder. Frost was able to roll away from Blazenwing. She quickly popped up and caught Blazenwing with a dropkick. Blazenwing rolled to his feet and was speared into the corner. Frost jumped up to the second ropes and started land a series of right hands on Blazenwing. She reached six before Blazenwing pushed her off. Frost stumbled backwards and got her footing and ducked a clothesline. Frost looked for a springboard crossbody but Blazenwing reversed it into a powerslam. He made a tag to Jackson and she jumped into the ring. Jackson pulled Frost up but was hit with hard right hands. Frost hit a back elbow before dropping Jackson with a Russian legsweep. Frost made a tag to Fenryr who climbed into the ring slowly. Jackson climbed to her feet and landed a few kicks to Fenryr before he locked up with her and locked in a bearhug.
Rayne: Odd seeing Kristy out here for tag team action without her long time partner, Omen IV.
Nick Webb: I wonder who will have the most success here tonight!
Jackson clubbed on Fenryr and eventually broke the hold. Fenryr quickly dropped Jackson to her feet and then clotheslined her to the mat. Jackson used the ropes to get to her feet and leaned against them. Fenryr charged at Jackson and she caught him with a big boot to the face. Jackson whipped Fenryr into the ropes and jumped up and took him to the mat with a headscissors takedown. She popped to her feet and made a tag to Lewis. Lewis jumped into the ring and hit a running dropkick to Fenryr. Fenryr climbed to his feet and was shoulder blocked by Lewis but didn’t budge. Fenryr lifted Lewis and dropped him with the 9-9-9 (Gorilla Press Slam). Lewis crawled to his corner and made the tag to Blazenwing. Blazenwing climbed into the ring and locked up with Fenryr. Fenryr sent Blazenwing into the ropes and looked for Maul (Double Axe Handle) but Blazenwing ducked it. Blazenwing hit the ropes and hit a big running forearm to Fenryr. Fenryr staggered and was sent into the ropes where Ingvar tagged himself in. Blazenwing hit the Full Effect (Superkick). Ingvar grabbed Blazenwing from behind and connected with the Winds of War (Pumphandle Fallaway Slam). Jackson reached over the ropes and tagged in from the fallen Blazenwing. Jackson jumped to the top ropes and looked for a crossbody and connected. She looked for a cover… one… two.. but Frost was there to pull her off at two. Lewis and Blazenwing were back into the ring to fend Frost off. Both Jackson and Ingvar were up and Ingvar looked for the Strictly Business (Jumping Cutter) but Jackson pushed him away. Ingvar made a tag to Fenryr just as she looked for a school boy roll up. The referee informed her of the tag as she was telling him to count it. She got up and turned right into a kick to the gut from Fenryr before he dropped her with Hel Road (Double Underhook Powerbomb) and covered. One… two… three.
WINNERS AND STILL BWF TRIOS CHAMPIONS: Ragnarok, via Pinfall [12:31]
Nick Webb: Ragnarok is once again showing that they’re a great team as Ingvar and Fenryr made the ending happen perfectly.
Rayne: Looks like Omen will have to look to do better later on!
Ragnarok is handed their titles as they exit the ring and head backstage. A small video plays highlighting how we got to our next match as Danny Hall defeated both Chris Stevens and Da Bomb. We’re informed that the Chaos Theory Championship will be defended in a tables match.
Johnny Maverick and Danny Hall are both in the ring as the match is announced for the fans. Hall tried to attack quickly as the bell sounded but it quickly backfired. He charged at Maverick and was hit with a hard open palm strike to the face. Hall stumbled and Maverick hit the ropes and came back with the Tony Jaa (Jumping Knee Strike). Maverick pulled the fall Hall to his feet and delivered a big German suplex. Maverick stood and walked around the ring with a smug look on his face as Hall staggered back to his feet. Maverick grabbed him from behind and delivered another German suplex. Maverick pulled Hall up by his hair and finished up the Maverick Special with a dragon suplex. Maverick rolled out of the ring and grabbed a table set against the barricade and slid it into the ring. Maverick climbed into the ring and drove a knee into the head of Hall as he tried to stand. Maverick set up the table near the corner of the ring and went back for Hall.
Rayne: This has not been good for Danny.
Nick Webb: I think the best thing for Danny is to just hurry and lose the match before he gets seriously hurt.
Maverick pulled Hall to his feet and started to set him up for a powerbomb. Hall dug deep and started to lift Maverick backwards but Maverick put his hands on the table to stop the momentum. Hall was standing and took a step forward before hitting Maverick with an Alabama Slam in the middle of the ring. Hall pulled Maverick to his feet and hit him with a few quick right hands before hitting a throat chop. Hall followed it with a discus clothesline and rested on his knees for a few moments. Hall pulled Maverick up and tried to suplex him through the table but Maverick hooked his leg on Hall’s to block him from being lifted. Maverick headbutted Hall and spun him around as they turned together. Maverick looked for a German suplex through the table but Hall flipped backwards and landed on his feet right in front of the table. Maverick lifted him and hit the Welcome to DC (Reverse GTS). Hall stumbled around the ring and into the corner. Maverick lifted Hall to the top rope and followed him. He looked for a suplex but Hall was able to block it. Hall stood on the top ropes and Maverick hit him with a few shots to the gut and climbed to the top ropes. Both men stood on the top turnbuckle as Maverick hooked Hall’s arm again for the suplex and started to lift him. The ropes started to shake and Hall fell to the outside hard as Maverick fell to the mat and through the table!
WINNER AND NEW CHAOS THEORY CHAMPION: Danny Hall, via TKO [10:42]
Nick Webb: I don’t believe what I just witnessed!
Rayne: What? The fact that Danny Hall just fluked his way to a win because Maverick fell from the top rope looking for a top rope superplex?
Nick Webb: I’m not sure Danny even realizes it yet.
The referee retrieved the Chaos Theory Championship and handed it to Hall on the outside as he came to and he began to celebrate as it was the greatest moment of his life. Maverick crawled from the rubble and disputed the match with the referee, saying he put himself through the table. Hall ran to the back as we went to a backstage shot.
The Phantom and the Angel
Outside of the men’s locker room, the camera discovered Xaria Linette with a small paintbrush in one hand and a painter’s pallette in the other. The only colors consist of black and white. Standing completely still before her is Martin Karloff, or rather the Phantom. She takes some of the white paint on the small brush and gently creases it along his left cheek bone, then his right. Once the canvas of his body is covered, she steps back and allows the body paint to settle. It’s such a strange sight to the fans, but they’re fascinated by their relationship.
Xaria Linette: Mon Beau, you can open your eyes now.
Slowly the Phantom opens his dark eyes and observes the work done by the Rainbow Angel. He looks at her and nods with approval.
The Phantom: As always, nothing short of perfection. Thank you Angel.
Xaria Linette: De rien, mon Fantôme.
She sets the art supplies aside on a table and smiles. Xaria moves forward and carefully brushes some of the excess white paint from the Phantom’s face with her thumb. She leans in and gives him a sweet kiss.
Xaria Linette: Bon chance. Good luck.
He regards her in a curious, peculiar manner. The public display of affection is foreign to the Phantom. But that doesn’t stop him from pulling her closer to him and kissing her passionately. She lulls her eyes shut and deepens the kiss with him. While the fans are stirring with confusion, some of them decide to cheer for this unique couple. Finally the kiss breaks and Xaria’s left with black and white paint on her lips.
The Phantom: Good luck to you as well, my Angel.
He smirks and heads towards the ring. She blushes softly and yet her smile widens. The view shifts back to ringside and Rayne’s expression is completely flabbergasted.
Nick Webb: Ah… Love is in the air, ladies and gentlemen. It was expressed on Twitter, but it looks like their relationship is official.
Rayne: ...Xaria Linette… and... MARTIN KARLOFF!?! You have GOT to be kidding me! The guy’s a freak! He belongs in an asylum!
Nick Webb: Well she’s in love with a monster. A monster only she can control from the look of things… That may be bad news for Omen IV.
Omen extended his hand out towards the Phantom in a show of respect. However, the Phantom ignored his hand and simply smirked. The Phantom began to circle around Omen, looking for an opening. Suddenly he moved in for a strike but Omen blocked with his forearm and countered with a couple kicks to the abdomen. He went for a double axehandle and the Phantom moved out of the way, hitting three knife edge chops straight to the chest. Omen hissed through his teeth and retaliated with knife edge chops of his own, causing the Phantom to grimace. Omen grabbed ahold of his wrist and tied him into a well-placed wristlock. The Phantom clenched his teeth and launched Omen with an armdrag takedown. The two men quickened the pace of the action as they exchanged blows and attacks, leading to the Phantom sending Omen to the ropes with an Irish whip. He raised his right arm for a clothesline attempt, but Omen ducked under it. Omen evaded another clothesline attempt, bounced off the second rope, turned his body midair and floored the Phantom with a flying thrust kick. Quick to his feet, Omen looked for a standing leg drop but the Phantom rolled out of the way, got to his feet and hit Omen with a falling dropkick to the chest. Omen rolled backwards but recovered, running past the Phantom and bouncing off the second rope. Omen connected with his signature springboard backflip into the inverted DDT! He moved in for the pin… One… two but a kickout right after.
Nick Webb: Only a two-count, but that was a pretty sweet springboard inverted DDT by Omen IV!
Rayne: And to think… This whole thing started with a stupid comment on BlazenBook. He should’ve paid attention to what he was writing!
The Phantom stared blankly towards the lights, as if he was unaware of his surroundings. Omen pulled him to his feet, launched him towards the ropes with an Irish whip and pursued him, knocking him over the top rope with a clothesline. The Phantom hit the floor and shook his head, starting to gather himself. He took a quick glance from the corner of his eye before he rose to his feet. Omen took off with a springboard shooting star press, but the Phantom calculated this and countered with a well-aimed Sine Oculus (Pele Kick)! Omen crumbled onto the outside and the Phantom stumbled away. The fans applauded the technique of the move and watched as the Phantom stalked after Omen with a devious smile. Lifting him onto his feet, the Phantom quickly sent Omen IV colliding into the steel steps. The referee didn’t disqualify him for use of the steps as he observed from a safe distance. The Phantom mused at his work before he picked Omen up and launched him towards the steel barricade, watching him collapse onto the floor. He continued this legal onslaught a little longer before he finally rolled Omen into the ring. The Phantom covered him and hooked the leg, but Omen managed to kick out at two. Intrigued, the Phantom brought his opponent to his feet and brought him towards one of the turnbuckles. He stepped back to gather some room before he ran forward, looking to connect with the Sine Gloria (Running Big Boot to cornered opponent), but Omen moved out of the way just in time and retaliated with a spinning heel kick to the back of his head! Phantom staggered away from the corner and fell to the mat as Omen climbed to the top ropes. Omen measured up the Phantom and jumped high, crashing down onto him with the El Mal Presagio (450 Backflip Corkscrew to Senton) and reached back to hook a leg. One… two… three!
WINNER: Omen IV, via Pinfall [11:42]
Omen rolled to the outside of the ring and leaned against the apron as he raised his fist in celebration.
Bragadocious
Nick Webb: Alright, folks, coming up next we have a huge... huh?
Rayne: What in the world is this about?
Indeed, Nick Webb and Rayne are cut off as "We Are the Champions" by Queen starts playing over the BlazenTron. The crowd isn't sure what to make of it, until new Chaos Theory Champion Danny Hall walks out, holding the belt high above his head. The crowd boos loudly as Danny walks down the ramp, wiping fake tears from his eyes and pointing at the crowd, loudly saying "This was for you, Tokyo!"
Nick Webb: I have no idea why we're being re-joined by Danny Hall, the new BWF Chaos Theory Champ.
Rayne: Or why he's acting like he just won the main event of WrestleFest.
Danny hops into the ring and grabs a mic as the music stops. A "You Got Lucky" chant breaks out amongst the usually very respectful Tokyo crowd. Clearly, they respect Johnny Maverick a lot, despite his recent change of attitude.
Danny Hall: Thank you, Japan! Thank you! You're too kind! Thank you!
The crowd boos louder as Danny continues, ignorant of their reaction.
Danny Hall: Tonight, I made good on the promise I made when I walked into BWF earlier this year. I became a Champion, and I defeated a BWF Hall of Famer to do it!
Nick Webb: The "defeat" might be debatable, but he's not wrong about Maverick being a Hall of Famer.
Rayne: Don't encourage this rube.
Danny Hall: And Tokyo, while I won this title for you, for all of my Hall-caholics... you like that one? I won this one for someone even more important than any of you.
A short pause.
Danny Hall: ME!
The boos grow louder.
Danny Hall: I might be the Most Hated Man in BWF, dammit, but now I'm also the Most Hated CHAMPION in BWF! Which is why it genuinely hurts my heart when I hear the whispers backstage that somehow, someway, my win tonight is considered a fluke.
The first cheers from the Tokyo crowd filter in.
Nick Webb: I'd say the fans here in Tokyo think so.
Rayne: I'd say anybody with at least one functioning brain cell thinks so. HA!
Danny Hall: Now, that hurts. I busted my ass for a LONG time in this company, and I think I deserve some respect, dammit! I beat some of BWF's greatest competitors. Guys like Johnny Maverick...
Danny pauses, trying to think of other names.
Danny Hall: ...um, that Bomb chick... oh, that stupid fucking skunk thing!
Rayne: Oh, please, let's remind people that the stuffed skunk happened. WrestleCrap, here we come!
Danny Hall: Look, I'm sick and tired of you idiots not recognizing the greatness that is DANNY F'N HALL! That's why I'm going to PROVE to every last one of you dumbasses that my winning the title tonight was always meant to be... right now... with the first ever Danny Hall Chaos Theory Title Open Challenge!!!
Not much of a reaction, to be honest.
Danny Hall: Come on! An Open Challenge! For this title! Wake up, Tokyo! You're getting twice the Danny Hall in one night, you lucky bastards! Bet your fortune cookies didn't tell you that!
Nick Webb: Racism! The best way to make new fans!
Rayne: Honestly, I'm just happy he knows what part of the world he's in. I'd have expected a tea time joke.
Danny Hall: Anybody, anywhere, you want a shot at my title, you can have it! I'll even sweeten the pot - you don't have to pin me to win! This match will be a Finishers First Match; the first person to hit a finishing move wins! So come on! Who wants to take a trip down the Hallway to Hell? I'll make you famous!
Hall seems perturbed that nobody's answering his open challenge. That is, until he turns his attention to the announcer's table and spots "Kumquat Kid" Ryan Lewis talking to Webb and Rayne, apparently asking them if he left something at ringside earlier. Webb and Rayne shrug; whatever it is Lewis lost, they haven't seen it.
Danny Hall: Good enough!
Hall quickly slides out of the ring, grabs Lewis from behind, and slams him head first into the announcer's table. The crowd starts booing loudly.
Nick Webb: Come on! That was entirely unnecessary!
Danny lifts the mic up as he rams Lewis' head into the table again.
Danny Hall: Orange Boy, you're the first challenger of the Danny Hall Chaos Theory Title Open Challenge!
Rayne: Orange Boy? I think you mean Kumquat Kid, good sir!
Nick Webb: Really?
Rayne: At this point, I'd back the damn skunk over Hall.
Danny whips Lewis into the apron, and then hits a running knee against the apron before picking Lewis back up and rolling him into the ring.
Danny Hall: Get me a referee out here! Let's kick this Open Challenge off with a bang!
Hall slides into the ring and immediately lifts Kumquat Kid onto his shoulders, ready to hit the Hallway to Hell. He starts to grow impatient when a referee doesn't immediately show up, though, and drops Lewis back to the mat before yelling again into the mic.
Danny Hall: I AM THE CHAOS THEORY CHAMPION! GET ME A DAMN REFEREE DOWN HERE NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!!
As Hall stands seething, a referee finally appears on the stage and runs down to the ring. The ref slides into the ring and calls for the bell.
Hall takes a moment to berate the referee, shaking with anger that he isn't being taken more seriously. He shakes his head and turns to Lewis, lifting him back over his shoulders to hit the Hallway to Hell. As Hall shouts "I am the greatest Champion in BWF history!", Lewis suddenly shifts his weight, sliding off of Hall's back and onto his feet. Perhaps on instinct, Lewis hooks Hall's head on the way down and, after landing, spins, hitting Hall with The Pez Dispenser (Cross Rhodes)! The bell rings - and we have a new Chaos Theory Champion!
WINNER AND NEW BWF CHAOS THEORY CHAMPION: "Kumquat Kid" Ryan Lewis, via Finisher [0:07]
"Sell Out" by Reel Big Fish starts playing as Ryan Lewis, still shaken from the surprise attack, pulls himself to his feet using the ropes. The referee hands him the Chaos Theory Title and, at first, Lewis tries to hand it back, saying "I didn't do anything!" The referee takes a moment to explain what just went down, at which point Lewis still seems taken aback, but he holds the title up nevertheless.
Rayne: That's it? I mean, holy hell, I'm not complaining one bit, but that's it?!
Nick Webb: Remember, the Chaos Theory Champion picks the stipulation match that their title is defended in. Hall selected a Finishers First Match, and since Kumquat Kid hit the Pez Dispenser first, he's the new Chaos Theory Champion!
Rayne: Wow. What a super shitty night for Danny Hall. Though Johnny Maverick might still have it worse for being the guy who lost a Championship title to Danny Hall. HA!
Nick Webb: Well, congratulations to the new Chaos Theory Champion, "Kumquat Kid" Ryan Lewis! Folks, don't go anywhere, we've still got a fantastic main event and more to come here at Retribution!
A video airs before the match detailing Jonathan Fhenix’s journey in the BWF, calling out Dave Slayon at every chance and even going as far as attacking Elena Simonova. Fhenix and Slayton are in the ring across from each other and stare each other down. The bell sounded and neither man moved as they waited for the other to attack first. Fhenix made mention of Elena Simonova and Slayton was fired up as he dropped Fhenix with a hard right hand. Fhenix rolled to his feet and the two men locked up and wrestled into the corner. They exchanged lefts and rights as the referee tried to break it away from the turnbuckle. Fhenix grabbed Slayton by his head and smashed it into the top turnbuckle and pushed him back first into the corner. He pulled him out of the corner and turned as they locked up. Fhenix hit a releasing belly to belly to Slayton that drove him back first into the corner. Fhenix started to pull Slayton to the center of the ring slowly but Slayton started to pull him down for the Firehawk Lock (Crossface) and Fhenix scurried away and out of the ring. He walked around the ring and collected himself but was interrupted by Slayon diving through the middle and top rope with a suicide forearm smash. The two men were slow to get up and Slayton was up first, pulling Fhenix up. He rolled Fhenix into the ring and looked for a cover… one… two and Fhenix kicked out. Fhenix climbed up to his feet and hit a hip toss on a charging Slayton. Slayton rolled right to his feet and was doubled over by a kick from Fhenix. Fhenix followed that up with a snap side kick to the side of Slayton’s head. Slayton fell to a knee before getting driven to the mat with a DDT.
Rayne: Lots of back and forth.
Nick Webb: It’s clear that these two men do not like each other in the slightest. There’s no respect, there’s no handshake waiting for them after the match is over.
Fhenix tried rolling Slayton into a cover. One… two and Slayton was able to kickout right at two. Fhenix pulled Slayton up to his feet slowly before hitting a hard right hand. He then lifted Slayton up as he looked for his stalling brainbuster and connected in the middle of the ring. Fhenix stood and leaned into the corner as Slayton started to stagger up to his knees. Fhenix charged and looked for the Sudden Reality (Running Knee Trembler) but Slayton was able to dodge it. He got to his feet and Fhenix turned and Slayton looked for the Full Effect (Superkick) but Fhenix caught his foot. Fhenix spun Slayton around and looked for the Tragic Hero (RKO) but was pulled down to the mat and Slayton locked in the Firehawk Lock! Fhenix tried to inch his way to the ropes and Slayton told him to tap out. The referee checked on Fhenix and Fhenix refused to submit and reached out, just able to get his fingers wrapped around the bottom rope. Slayton broke the hold at four and crawled to his feet. Fhenix slowly got to his feet and Slayton looked for a spear but Fhenix hit him with the Stock Market Crash (Sky High). Both men were down and Fhenix had to crawl over to Slayton as he had rolled away. Slayton started to get up, stunned, and Fhenix used the ropes to get to his feet. Fhenix lifted Slayton and flapjacked him onto the top ropes, throat first. Fhenix looked for the Try to Breathe (Flapjack into a kick to throat) as he hit the ropes and looked for the kick but Slayton ducked it. Fhenix turned around and was rocked with the Full Effect. Slayton fell on top of Fhenix and picked up a win.
WINNER: David Slayton, via Pinfall [17:29]
Nick Webb: Dave has done it!
Rayne: I hate to say it but I think that Dave would have been better off just taking a loss here. Fhenix isn’t going to stop until he defeats Dave. Dave just put anyone he cares about, like Elena, in harm's way.
Slayton rolled out of the ring and leaned against the barricade as he celebrated his victory before going to a quick commercial.

AXW ANARCHY!
Epiphany
The crowd is buzzing for the next match, and a few clap excitedly as Scott Benjamin hops into the ring to begin introducing the following contest. The buzzing gets louder as a ringside tech suddenly jumps onto the ring apron and motions Scott over. She whispers something in Scott's ear which makes his eyes widen. Scott turns to the tech, honestly surprised.
Scott Benjamin: For real? You're sure?
The tech nods, to which Scott says "Alright, then." and heads into the center of the ring.
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest will begin in just a moment. Right now, however, please welcome...
"The Look" by Roxette starts playing and the crowd's excitement grows.
Nick Webb: What!?
Rayne: Are you kidding me?!
Scott Benjamin: ...EMILY CORLEN!!!
The Tokyo crowd pops loudly as Emily Corlen steps onto the stage, beaming proudly. She takes a look around and grins, nodding happily as she starts to make her way down the ramp.
Nick Webb: I'm in shock! Did you know about this, Rayne?
Rayne: Know about this? I wouldn't have called this in a million years! This crazy broad just popped out a kid on THURSDAY! Four days later and she's walking down the ramp live on the BWF Network?! No, I definitely didn't know about this, Nick.
Emily slaps hands with a few fans at ringside and heads up the steps, making her way inside the ring. She motions for a mic as the music fades.
Nick Webb: The fans in Tokyo here giving Emily a great reception.
Rayne: Love her or hate her, you gotta respect her.
A "welcome back" chant kicks up amongst the crowd as Emily laughs.
Emily Corlen: And to think I was worried you might not remember me when I came back.
She winks.
Emily Corlen: I've been known as a lot of things during my career. The Emerald Phoenix. The Crimson Wolf. The Last Heroine. The Last Pioneer. And my personal favorite, the Queen of Professional Wrestling. But tonight, I'm here as simply... me. Emily Corlen.
A pause.
Emily Corlen: Earlier tonight, I watched my mentor, David Slayton, defeat Jonathan Fhenix and regain his family's honor. The man taught me everything I know, including the inability to forge any real alliances by stabbing your friends in the back - and the front - before they can do the same to you. But, over the last nine months, I've been watching him kick all sorts of ass in AXW with one promise - his backstabbing days are done. He's doing the right thing, wrestling the right way for the first time in his career and I can see how rejuvenated he's become.
A brief smile as the crowd cheers.
Emily Corlen: A few months ago, I was planning on heading out to this ring and announcing my retirement from in-ring competition. After all, I've done it all. BWF Hall of Famer, five time World Champion, Grizzly Beer Champion, Tag Team Champion, and so on and so on. I assumed I had nothing left to prove. And then I saw Dave and I realized I haven't really accomplished anything, because every belt I've won, every match I've dominated, every record I've broken... I haven't done it the right way.
More cheers.
Emily Corlen: That's why, tonight, I am not out here to announce my retirement. I am standing here, in the heart of Tokyo, Japan, just four short days after giving birth to a beautiful baby girl named Valerie (crowd cheers) to officially announce that, as of right now, I am once again a competing member of the BWF roster!
Nick Webb: Wow!
Rayne: I think Tokyo approves!
Emily Corlen: Now, I'm not competing tonight. Or for the next few weeks. I still need just a small amount of time to get back into prime fighting shape.
The crowd boos at this.
Emily Corlen: BUT, I think I should be ready to go, oh, around... October 26 or so?
A mischievous grin stretches across Emily's face.
Emily Corlen: Now, one of the perks of signing my new contract back at Survival of the Sickest in January was the ability to choose any match I wanted for my return match. I could even request a title match if I so wished. After all, I never DID get my rematch for the BWF World Title after losing the belt to Elena Simonova at WrestleFest. Who wants to see me facing AJ Adams or Allen Chaney next month in the main event of Wreckless?
The crowd cheers.
Emily Corlen: I thought about it, trust me. It's tempting, the thought of becoming a six-time World Champion. But, I have a slightly different match in mind. I am returning to the ring at Wreckless, and I will be facing... OMEN IV.
Rayne: Wait, what? Omen!?
Nick Webb: He's a fantastic talent, no doubt, but I'm not sure I would have predicted that for Emily Corlen's big return match.
Emily Corlen: Omen, I haven't forgotten about how you called me out on BlazenBook months and months ago. Don't mistake this for some misguided attempt at - pardon the pun - retribution, though. You had every right to say what you did to me on Angel Kash's BlazenBook page, and the truth is, you were right. You were one of the first catalysts in making me realize that going through life being a bitch and screwing everybody over isn't how I want to be remembered. I want to face you, not out of anger, but out of respect. I want to show you that I'm not just a big rack and a pretty face. I'm one of the greatest wrestlers in BWF history, and I hope that after I've defeated you, I'll have earned a little bit of your respect as well. See you in Boston, Omen. And good luck... you're gonna need it.
Emily winks playfully to the camera as "The Look" starts playing again and Emily drops the mic. She heads out of the ring and makes her way up the ramp, high fiving fans as she goes.
Nick Webb: We have our first official match for Wreckless! Emily Corlen vs. Omen IV! I have to admit, if you'd asked at the beginning of the night what next month's pay-per-view card would include, that match wouldn't have been in my first one hundred guesses.
Rayne: It's gonna be a damn good one, though! Let's just hope Emily doesn't mistake him for a bean burrito and try eating him! HA!
Nick Webb: Oh, good lord.
The Tag Team Championship belts were held up high as we prepared for the next match. Perez and James were already solo in the ring, wasting no time. Perez looked to whip James into the ropes but she quickly reversed it. He rushed back and ducked a clothesline and dropped James with a neckbreaker. Perez pulled James up and applied a side headlock and wrenched her neck. Perez started to talk over to Figgins and James dug down and lifted Perez up and dropped him backwards with a belly to back suplex. James tagged out to Figgins and Figgins jumped to the top ropes. She came flying off at Perez and caught him on the jaw with a flying sidekick. Perez rolled backwards and to his feet and was hit with a running forearm smash from Figgins. Perez fell into the corner and Figgins started to whip him across the ring but Perez reversed it and dropped her with a tilt-a-whirl slam. Perez tagged out to Torres and he climbed into the ring as Perez pulled Figgins up. Perez tossed Figgins at Torres and he lifted her up and dropped her to the mat with a backdrop. Torres pulled Figgins up once again and locked in a full nelson and tossed her around the ring a bit. He lifted her up and drove her hard into the mat with a full nelson slam.
Rayne: Torres is definitely the power of The 323 and is a perfect compliment to Perez’s style. They’re giving the champions a run for their money and already have a win over them.
Nick Webb: The 323 are chasing their first championship here tonight. Don’t count the multiple time champs out just yet.
Figgins had climbed back to her feet and was able to hit a back elbow to the side of the head of Torres as he charged. She hit the ropes quickly and came back with the Tony Jaa (Flying Knee Strike) as she springboarded off them. Torres staggered and fell into the ropes. Figgins kicked him in the gut and pulled him to the center of the ring. She took a few steps back and looked for the Destiny Hammer (Corkscrew Scissor Kick) but Torres dodged as he moved out of the way. Torres grabbed Figgins and drove her to the mat with Gravedigger (Uranage). Torres looked for a cover. One… two and Figgins kicked out. Torres tagged out to Perez. Torres pulled Figgins up and sent her at Perez and she ducked a forearm and ran up the turnbuckle. She pushed herself off and turned mid-air and hit Perez with the leg lariat. Figgins rolled over to her corner and made a tag to James. James entered the ring and ran over to Perez and pulled him to his feet. She set him up and delivered the Bleeding Rose (Sliced Bread #2). James started to climb to the top ropes and Torres ran down the apron and connected with the Chimuelo (Superman Punch) and dropped James back to the mat. Torres ran back over to his corner and Perez crawled to his corner and made the tag. Torres entered the ring and Figgins came flying off the top with a crossbody. Torres rolled to his feet and Figgins looked for another crossbody as she charged him but he caught her. Torres dumped her to the outside of the ring as James had gotten back to her feet. James looked for the Bleeding Rose but Torres was able to toss her away. He tagged to Perez and Perez set James up in the wheelbarrow. Torres came running at James and they hit the Gun Shot (Wheelbarrow by Perez, Running kick to head by Torres, followed by sit-down facebuster). Perez rolled on top of James and sat on her chest as he looked for a cover. One… two… three!
WINNERS AND NEW BWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: The 323, via Pinfall [11:19]
Perez and Torres are handed the championships as Perez pounded his chest. He rubbed the title into the face of James as the referee came and broke it up.
Nick Webb: Looks like Perez is a sore winner.
Rayne: I think he’s just saying “look. We did it” to anyone that didn’t think they could. They were always seen as hired muscle and thugs in TGW and even in the early relaunch times of BWF. Now they’re standing in the ring as Tag Team Champions.
Xaria Linette and F.M. Young meet in the middle of the ring and stood toe-to-toe. Like many women, Xaria had to look up to F.M., but she smiled doing so. She extended her right hand out and searched for a response in kind. The International Champion looked at her hand for a moment before she accepted it, giving it a firm shake. The referee for this championship match, Jenni Flynt, nodded approvingly and signaled for the bell. Once it sounded off, F.M. challenged Xaria to make the first move. Xaria raised her hands, looking to grapple with F.M., but she feigned out and connected with two quick jabs and a spinning kick. F.M. staggered back and Xaria spun around for a backfist, but F.M. caught her fist and collided with a short-arm clothesline. Xaria was quick to get up and backpedal, gaining some space between them. F.M. charged towards her but Xaria flew over her with a no-hands cartwheel and caught her with a double knee backbreaker. F.M. cringed in pain as Xaria flipped her over for a pin attempt, but the champion kicked out right at two. F.M. was able to roll forward and as Xaria chased after her, she suddenly reversed her momentum with a flying headscissors. Xaria went flying towards the corner of the ring and she stopped herself before she hit the turnbuckle. However, F.M. followed through with a running dropkick to the middle of Xaria’s back. The Rainbow Angel crashed into the corner and fell backward.
Nick Webb: Wow! That halted Linette’s momentum for sure.
Rayne: Hot damn, Young is brutal! I have a feeling this is just the beginning of the end for the Puffy Angel!
Nick Webb: Rainbow, Rayne… Rainbow Angel.
Rayne: Whatever!
Young didn’t relent, rather she picked Linette up and struck her with shin kicks before hitting her with a vicious short-arm elbow smash. Linette hit the mat and Young covered her, only to receive a two-count from the referee. Young smirked, delighted that her opponent was still in the match. She brought Linette back onto her feet and took her down with an armdrag takedown, fluidly going straight into an armbar. Being more of a submission specialist, however, Linette wisely maneuvered out of the hold and turned the tables on Young when she ensnared her in a Japanese stranglehold (straight jacket). Taken aback by the hold, Young struggled and managed to break the hold by grabbing the rope. Linette released her and attempted to go on the offense, but Young caught her in midair and dropped her with a spine buster in the center of the ring! The fans applauded to show their respect as Linette slumped onto the mat and Young hooked her leg for the cover, but Linette still kicked out at two. Young shook her head and paint brushed the back of Linette’s head with her hand, then she clocked her harshly with a forearm smash. Linette grimaced and rolled on her side, clutching her head in her hands. With her challenger in pain, Young brought her onto her feet and easily lifted her across her shoulders, displaying her physical strength. She nailed Linette with the Boom Pow (GTS with theatrics) and quickly covered her, but the Rainbow Angel still kicked out before the three! Young was beginning to show a bit of frustration as she collected Linette and yelled at her to give up. She sent Linette to the corner with an Irish whip and went for a spear, but Linette was able to evade on time and Young flew right against the ringpost. She grimaced in pain and clutched her shoulder, trying to pull herself back up. Linette was quick to connect with a corner backflip kick to Young and watched her stumble on her feet. As small as she was, Linette was able to wrap her arms around Young’s waist and take her off her feet with a bridging German suplex, but Young managed to break the pin before the three! Linette wasn’t finished, however, as she was quick to release Young, bounce against the ropes and execute Rain-BOOM! (KENTA’s Busaiku Knee Kick) Linette staggered for a moment, shaking her head and covering Young, but the champion kicked out at two!
Rayne: What the-- F.M. had the momentum on her side!
Nick Webb: Xaria’s gained that momentum with the Rain-BOOM! If she was a little faster on the cover, we might’ve seen a new International Champion!
Rayne: Not a chance! Once F.M. takes back control, it’s over!
Nick Webb: We’ll see. The action’s been pretty tight and the fans are loving it here in Tokyo!
The women were starting to slowly rise, clearly becoming gassed from the back and forth action. They were both able to stand and Young connected with a stiff boot to the gut as Linette began her approach. Young bent down and used what remaining energy she had left to pull Linette on to her shoulders and let out a primal scream. She was looking for the Boom Pow once again but as she began to execute, Linette was able to spin around and drop Young with the Super Blinding Colors (Tilt-A-Whirl DDT)! Linette pushed Young onto her back and was able to muster enough strength to drape her arm across Young’s chest and picked up a stunning victory.
WINNER AND NEW BWF INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION: Xaria Linette, via Pinfall [16:22]
Nick Webb: Xaria Linette has done it! She’s captured her first singles championship in the BWF!
Rayne: Hats off to F.M. Young. They both laid it all on the line here tonight and Xaria happened to get the best of her.
Nick Webb: I agree. Young is still one of the best young talents, no pun intended. I think it’s safe to say that she has many more championships to add to her resume. I can’t wait to see the rematch between these two.
Linette as started to come to as the referee tried to hand her the International Championship. She sat up to her knees and clutched it tightly as she leaned over to Young and helped pull her into a seated position. Linette could be seen saying “thank you for a great match” and Young just shook her head. Young rolled out of the ring to give Linette her moment to celebrate.
The fans were ecstatic as Kaito Hirano hit the stage for his title defense. He carried down a Flag of Japan to the ring with him. The crowd threw streamers towards the ring and Hirano was smiling ear to ear. The three competitors all circled each other as we got the match announcement. It wasn’t long after the bell sounded and Hirano started to put down his flag that Park began to attack him with hard right hands. The fans showered her in boos as she drove a knee into his gut. Park hit Hirano with a hard throat chop and kicked him into the corner. Park turned, fired up, but walked right into Hullum there with a scoop slam. Hullum pulled Park to her feet and hit two quick forearms before driving her to the mat with a powerslam. Hirano was there as Hullum got to his feet and they exchanged a few chops. Hirano caught him with a hard kick to the thigh that caused Hullum to stagger. Hirano landed another hard kick that forced Hullum to a knee. Hirano followed it up with a hard buzzsaw kick to the head of Hullum as the crowd popped. Hirano started to pull Hullum to his feet but was grabbed from behind by Park as she tried to roll him up with a backslide pin. One and a kickout. Hirano climbed to his feet but was hit with a standing dropkick from Park. Park kipped up to her feet and pulled Hirano back up. She locked in a hammerlock but Hirano reached back and snapmared her over. Hullum was up and blasted Hirano with a discus elbow smash. Hullum grabbed Hirano and spiked him into the mat with the Crash Landing (Snapmare Driver). Park grabbed Hullum as he stood and sent him into the corner. Park charged after him and connected with a cornered clothesline before following it up with a running bulldog. Park started to stalk Hirano as he was slowly getting to his feet.
Nick Webb: This might be it for the champion!
Rayne: Park is looking to put Hirano away. She not only wants the title but she wants to take it from him. It’s always sweeter when you take the title from the champion.
Hirano was up and Park charged and looked for the Mental Breakdown (Flying Dragon). She started to lock it in but couldn’t get both arms of Hirano. Hullum came over and pulled her off and took her to the mat with a German suplex. Hullum got back to his feet and grabbed Hirano as he approached and flipped him over with a snap belly to belly suplex. Hullum grabbed Park and pulled her up and grappled with her before sending her to the mat with the devil-lock DDT. Hullum rolled Park into a cover. One… two.. and Hirano dove onto them to break the pin. All three were slow to get to their feet but Hullum was up first and hit Park with a hard right hand as she stood. He turned and hit Hirano before turning back to Park. He looked for another right hand but Park blocked it and reversed it into This is for Pyo (Cross Armbreaker). Park screamed at Hullum to submit but it Hirano pulled Hullum to the ropes and helped break the hold. Park eventually broke the hold and hit Hirano with a forearm as he approached. Hirano ducked another forearm and got behind Park before hitting the blue thunder bomb. All three were slowly getting to their feet and Hirano was up first. He pulled Park up to his shoulders but Hullum pulled her off. Hullum hit Hirano with the Kurtain Kall (Hangman’s Facebuster). Hullum slapped his chest a few times and walked around Park who was crawling to her feet.
Nick Webb: This could be it! Kurt could be ready to end this thing!
Hullum bent down to pull Park up but she pulled him down and looked for a small package. One… two and Hullum was able to turn the pin just enough to put Park’s shoulders on the mat! One… two and Park was able to kick out just in time. They both rolled to their feet and started to exchange lefts and rights. Park grabbed his arm and tried to lock it into an arm wrench but Hullum was able to spin away from her. He caught her with a few forearms that had her staggered. Hullum locked up with Park and delivered an overhead belly to belly suplex. Park rolled up to her feet and stumbled right into a big powerslam from Hullum. Hullum lifted Park up and started to look for the Kurtain Kall but Park spun away. She spun Hullum around and dropped him with the Seoul Food (Eat Defeat). Park started to roll to her knees for an attempt to cover and Hirano came charging at her and drove his knee into her skull with the Yoi Yume O (Running Knee to Knelt Opponent). Hirano stumbled and hurried to pull Hullum up and powered him to his shoulders. Hirano connected with the Oyasumi (Fireman’s Carry Overhead Kick) and dove onto Hullum. One… two… three!
WINNER AND STILL SOVEREIGN CHAMPION: Kaito Hirano, via Pinfall [18:35]
Park lunged at Hirano but the referee had hit the three count as the fans went crazy. Hirano rolled away and grabbed the Sovereign Championship from Scott Benjamin and jumped into the crowd to celebrate. They embraced him as Park looked on in disgust.
Rayne: Kaito did it!
Nick Webb: Just a moment more and Brianna could have very likely broken that up and the match would’ve continued. She was so close to pulling off the upset too.
Rayne: Where did Kaito come from?
Nick Webb: He dug down deep near the end of that match. I think Kurt just took too much time trying to get Brianna ready for the Kurtain Kall and it allowed Kaito some time.
We get another shot of Kaito Hirano making his way through the crowd as we cut to a BWF Network promo.
Coming Soon to PPV
Monday, October 26, 2015
The camera turns back to the arena as the fans know what’s coming up next. We pan down to ringside before we begin.
Nick Webb: We’re moments away from the BWF World Championship match as AJ Adams is set to defend against Allen Chaney in what has to be one of the biggest feuds of the year. These two have been going at it for months now and every time it seems like it can’t get any more heightened, someone takes it another level. We’ve seen Allen try to end AJ’s career back at Hearts on Fire. AJ came back and cost Allen the BWF World Championship at Danger Zone. Allen attacked AJ at Vertigo and likely cost him the title that night. Allen then put AJ’s girlfriend and BWF Superstar Sabrina Scott in the hospital a few weeks ago with a curbstomp while AJ was handcuffed to the ring ropes.
Rayne: So you’re saying these two will not be sending each other Christmas cards this year?
Scott Benjamin gives us the super introduction for the match and the crowd is clearly behind AJ Adams as he holds the title up when announced. Adams and Chaney stood chest to chest and exchanged words. The referee went over the standard rules of the match and the bell sounded to get things underway. To the surprise of no one it was quick that Chaney and Adams came to blows and went back and forth with lefts and rights all over the ring. Adams backed Allen into the corner and started to land blows but Chaney quickly spun Adams around and into the corner. Chaney hit a hard bionic elbow before hitting a headbutt. Chaney hit a second bionic elbow before tossing Adams across the ring with a hip toss. Adams rolled to his feet and charged at Chaney and connected with a corner spear. Adams drove his shoulder into the gut of Chaney a second time and pulled him to the center of the ring. He looked for a suplex but Chaney blocked and then drove his knee into the gut of Adams. Chaney connected with a gutwrench suplex and jumped to his feet. Adams climbed to his feet and hit Chaney with a European uppercut before starting to look for a Russian legsweep. Chaney battled out and grappled Adams and started to look for a STO. Adams hit a few hard elbows to Chaney and hit a jumping complete shot. Adams rolled Chaney into a cover. One and a kickout quickly. Adams pulled Chaney to his feet and quickly hit a suplex. He swung to his feet and pulled Chaney up and hit a second suplex. He started to pull Chaney up for the trifecta of suplexes but Chaney pushed Adams away. Adams charged Chaney and was lifted in the air and driven into the mat with a powerbomb! Chaney looked down at Adams and pulled him up to his feet and sent him back into the ropes and connected with a second big pop up powerbomb.
Nick Webb: Things aren’t looking good right now for Adams. He’s going to need to mount some more offense.
Rayne: I think Chaney is looking for a third one of those powerbombs!
Chaney slowly pulled Adams back up and slapped him across the face. He sent Adams into the ropes and Adams exploded with a spear. Adams got to his feet and Chaney was up right after him. They locked up and Adams landed a kick to Chaney’s gut that was followed up with the Eat It (Fame-Asser). Adams rolled Chaney into a cover. One… two and a kickout. Chaney crawled to his feet and was hit with a clothesline from a charging Adams. Chaney rolled back up to his feet and had to quickly duck a second clothesline. Chaney spun Adams around and connected with a bionic elbow that caused Adams to stagger over to the ropes. Chaney charged and clotheslined Adams over the top and they both went crashing to the floor below.
Rayne: Chaney willing to put his body on the line to try and inflict damage to Adams.
Nick Webb: The referee is up the the count of four.
Chaney pulled Adams to his feet and smashed his head off the steel post on the outside before rolling him into the ring. Chaney climbed into the ring as Adams was slow to get to his knees. Chaney hit the ropes and delivered a hard running kick to the chest of Adams that forced him backwards and to his back. Chaney hit the ropes once again and hit a big running senton across the chest of Adams. Chaney rolled Adams into a cover. One… two and a kickout by Adams. Chaney laid into Adams with a few right hands before hitting the ropes once again. He looked for a second senton but Adams rolled away and Chaney hit the mat. Chaney and Adams were to their feet. Adams lifted Chaney up to his shoulders and let out a roar as he connected with a GTS. Chaney hit the mat and fell which allowed Adams to make his way over to the corner of the ring. He climbed up to the top ropes slowly and was set. Adams dove and connected with the Truly Awesome (Shooting Star Press) and hooked a leg for a cover. One… two.. and kickout by Chaney. Adams looked back at the ropes and started to make his way back up to the top. He steadied himself and jumped up, looking for the 450 Splash but Chaney got his knees up!
Nick Webb: That backfired on AJ!
Rayne: He dug down deep and looked for that desperation maneuver that he doesn’t pull out often and crashed and burned.
Chaney crawled over to the ropes and leaned out the second rope and pulled himself up. Adams was grabbing his ribcage as he had to catch his breath. Chaney grabbed Adams and pulled him to his feet. He was able to stand in the center of the ring and looked around before dropping Adams with the Set-Up (Double Arm DDT). Adams tried to crawl away but Chaney once again pulled him to his feet. He started to set up for the Punchline (Package Piledriver) but Adams lifted and connected with a backdrop. Chaney got to his feet and turned, Adams jumped up, and connected with the Last Call (Codebreaker)! Adams slowly was able to get to his knees and crawled over to Chaney before pulling him up. Adams had Chaney set up for the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail) but Chaney was able to fight out and get free. Chaney hit another bionic elbow and that dropped Adams to his hands and knees. Chaney ran to the corner and had Adams measured up. Chaney looked for the Heckler Control (Curbstomp) but Adams rolled out of the way. Adams spun Chaney around and connected with the Legacy Maker! Adams crawled over to Chaney and threw his arm over his shoulder. One… two.. kickout at the last moment!
Rayne: No way!
Nick Webb: Both men doing everything they can to win this match.
Adams sat up and couldn’t believe it as Chaney rolled away and sat in the corner. Adams slowly got to his feet and Chaney was now standing in the corner. Adams started to approach and took a boot to the face. Chaney hit a clothesline out of the corner that dropped Adams. Adams rolled to his feet and walked right into Chaney’s boot to the gut. Chaney grabbed Adams and connected with the Punchline! Chaney started to roll Adams over and Adams tried to roll away but was stomped on a few times. Chaney told Adams to stay down or he’d “end him”. Adams reached up and slapped Chaney across the face which enraged Chaney. Chaney pulled Adams up and drove him to the mat with another pop up powerbomb. Chaney stood in the corner and waited for Adams to start to roll over.
Nick Webb: I don’t think Allen will rest until AJ is unable to move an inch.
Chaney stomped his foot as the crowd booed him. Before Chaney could charge Adams for the Heckler Control someone slid into the ring and began to brawl with Chaney! The crowd roared when it was realised Sabrina Scott was laying into Chaney with lefts and rights. She spun Chaney around and hit the Pocketful of Sunshine (Reverse Codebreaker) as the referee called for the bell.
WINNER: Allen Chaney, via Disqualification [24:47]
Scott stood over Allen Chaney as the fans cheered her return. AJ Adams started to come to and pulled himself up in the corner and looked on at Scott, confused.
Nick Webb: I’m not sure that AJ had any idea that Sabrina was here. From the look on his face I’d say he is stunned at what just took place.
Adams walked over to Scott and asked her what she was doing. Adams said he “had things under control”. Scott and Adams had a quick argument but it quickly subsided as Adams smiled and told her it was okay. He went in for a hug but was dropped from behind as Chaney rocked him with a clothesline to the back of the head. Adams fell into Scott and she hit the mat but quickly got back up. She was grabbed right away from Chaney and hit with the Set-Up. Chaney grabbed Adams and delivered the Punchline and was fired up. He rolled out of the ring and grabbed the BWF World Championship from Scott Benjamin and stated he won the match and the title belonged to him. Scott tried to take the title away from Chaney but was pushed back into his chair. Chaney held the title up as the fans booed him.
Nick Webb: The title doesn’t change hands on a disqualification, Allen knows that.
Rayne: I’m sure he does but he doesn’t care. He had AJ beat!
Nick Webb: We don’t know that. AJ could have dodged the stomp, he could have reversed it, he could have won. You’ve just been an AJ hater since day one.
Rayne: That’s not the point.
Chaney pushed past the referee and carried the title over his shoulder as Adams leaned out from the middle rope and demanded his title back.
Nick Webb: What will the implications be? We’ll find out soon enough, I’m sure!
We get a final shot of Scott kneeling next to Adams as he shouts at Chaney, Chaney holding the title high.
© Blazenwing Wrestling Federation 2015
