An Artistic Perspective
Backstage of the Allstate Arena, the camera turns the corner and captures visual of Xaria Linette with a small paintbrush in her right hand. She's looking at something the camera doesn't quite see, as if studying a painting or a sculpture.
Xaria Linette: Just a little more...
She uses the brush to extract a tiny amount of black paint and applies it to the subject at hand. As the cameraman draws closer, the camera pans out... and reveals none other than Martin Karloff. She draws the fine brush along his jawline and smiles softly.
Xaria Linette: Well, I'm not Leonardo Da Vinci, but I think I'm done.
Martin Karloff:You've done fine work...thank you very much, Angel. I...
Martin looks over and sees Spykeman! standing there with his arms folded. He doesn't look pleased.
Spykeman!: We need to talk. Serious talk. I'm making my serious face.
Xaria glances over and sees not only Spykeman!, but the cameraman as well. She scratches the back of her head with her free hand and smiles softly.
Xaria Linette: What can we do for you, Monsieur Spykeman?
Spykeman! points an accusing finger at Xaria and Martin.
Spykeman!: Don't play dumb! I've been keeping an eye on you two... All the secrecy, the whispering, the secret meetings in closets and such... I know what you two are really up to!
Xaria blinks, taken aback by his attentiveness. She looks over at Martin in his Manticore colors and tries to read his eyes. He looks back at her and watches as she regards the superhero again.
Xaria Linette: Monsieur, I'm so sorry. Martin and I weren't ready to make the announcement...
Spykeman!: Well you SHOULD be sorry! It's downright RUDE of the two of you to start a Superhero team and not invite me!
Martin facepalms. Xaria tilts her head slowly, trying to comprehend the conclusion Spykeman! reached. She notices Martin's reaction and giggles softly.
Xaria Linette: Désole... We didn't mean to hurt your feelings. We wanted to take baby steps into creating the ultimate superhero faction. We were going to inform you and the Jew Blazer about it as soon as possible.
Spykeman!: I'm the first person you should have told! I already have a Spykecave! Just let me know when things are official. Light the Spykesignal! and I'll be there.
Spykeman! bolts away but trips on his own cape. He stands and runs away, trying to play it off.
Martin Karloff: Is he... I can't tell if he's pretending to be dumb anymore.
Xaria Linette: Just play along, mon beau. If it makes him happy, why not?
She pokes his nose with her forefinger and smiles. She glances down at her paint splotched clothes.
Xaria Linette: I better change into my ring attire. I have a tag-team match to contend with. Surprise, surprise...
Martin Karloff: I think it's a good look on you.
Martin actually smiles. It's an odd sight for BWF viewers. Xaria gladly returns the smile. She looks over his fresh body paint and nods.
Xaria Linette: Perhaps you would like to return the favor later on...?
Martin Karloff: Just try and stop me. Good luck, Angel.
Xaria Linette: I wouldn't dare. See you soon, Martin.
She playfully winks and makes her way towards the women's locker room to get changed. Back at ringside, Rayne looks flabbergasted and Nick Webb is simply curious.
Nick Webb: Well that was... Strange. Stranger than usual.
Rayne: Is she...? Are they...? Did he just... SMILE?!
Nick Webb: ...yes? There's no point in stirring about it. Right now, we've got some more Havok action!
Brianna Park Vs. Angel Kash
Coming off an upsetting defeat at the hands of Allen Chaney, Brianna Park furiously began wailing at Angel Kash right after the bell rang. The referee tried to pull her off but she was set on hurting Angel as much as possible. Brianna landed multiple chops across Angel’s chest and took her down with a vicious lariat. The fans weren’t sure what to make of this new demeanor of Brianna’s. Angel started to recover as she got on her hands and knees, but Brianna was quick to bounce against the ropes and connected with a running dropkick, sending Angel flying under the bottom rope. The referee looked to the outside at Angel as Brianna grabbed ahold of the top rope. She launched herself upward and landed on Angel with a springboard crossbody! Park’s quick on her feet and she dragged Kash towards the ring by her hair. She rolled her into the ring, but she grabbed ahold of her left leg and brought her over to the nearest ring post. Without hesitation she drove Kash’s left knee against the ring post. Kash cried out in pain and clutched her left knee as Park rolled back into the ring. She dismissed the scolding from the referee and forced Kash up on her feet. Park delivered a kick to the midsection and picked her up, setting her up on the turnbuckle in a tree-of-woe position. Backpedaling away from Kash, Park stood on the opposite corner of the ring and ran full speed towards Kash, smashing her with the God Bless Korea (Dropkick to an opponent in a tree of woe position)! Kash is finally free from the tree of woe position with the referee’s assistance. She slumps down on the mat and Park moves in, but stopped as Kash lunged and gouged the eyes of Park. Kash grabbed Park and connected with the Buyout (Implant DDT) and covered but only got two. Kash pulled Park to her feet and started to scream “I’m the best” at Park. Park hit her with a jawbreaker that caused her to stagger. She moved swiftly and nailed her with the Seoul Food (Eat Defeat)! Brianna made the cover with the hook of the leg and received the three-count!
WINNER: Brianna Park, via pinfall 9:41
Park got up to her feet and pushed Kash out of the ring with the bottom of her boot and proclaimed that Kash didn’t deserve to be in “her ring”.
Rayne: Big statement win here tonight from Brianna.
Nick Webb: Things haven’t gone as planned for Brianna lately so I’m sure this is a nice turn of events for her.
F.M. Young/Xaria Linette Vs. T.K.O.
Young and Omen were set to start things off for us in the next match as each team talked a bit of strategy before the bell sounded. Young offered a hand to Omen for a test of strength but Omen jumped with a spinning kick and kicked the hand of Young. She locked up with him but he hit a snapmare and kicked her hard in the back. Omen pulled Young up and started to look for a DDT but Young countered into a fisherman’s suplex. She then went over and made the tag to Linette as Omen tagged out to Jackson. Jackson jumped into the ring and hit Linette with a clothesline but Xaria was right back to her feet. She popped Jackson in the jaw with a forearm and then a European uppercut. She took Jackson down with a spinning heel kick. Jackson rolled to her feet and was sent hard into the corner after being dropkicked by Linette. Jackson exploded out of the corner but Linette ducked a running elbow and grabbed Jackson from behind before delivering a reverse DDT. Linette tagged out to Young and the duo hit Jackson with a double suplex. Omen wanted the tag but Jackson was pulled to the center of the ring. She tried to lift Jackson up for the Boom Pow (GTS) but Jackson rolled off Young’s shoulders. Jackson tried to take back to Omen but Young grabbed her by the foot and tripped her to the mat. She pulled Jackson over to Linette and made the tag. Linette jumped in the ring and dropped an elbow on Jackson. Jackson staggered to her feet and Young lifted her and connected with the Boom Pow. Jackson stumbled around the ring before Linette came at her and delivered Super Blinding Colors (Tilt-a-Whirl DDT). She covered as Young guarded, making sure Omen couldn’t reach his partner, and picked up the win.
WINNERS: F.M. Young and Xaria Linette, via pinfall 8:10
Kaito Hirano Vs. Leonard Luv
As the match got underway the fan were buzzing as Brianna Park slowly started to make her way to the ring. Hirano and Luv locked up and Hirano pushed him back and started to connect with hard chops before landing a series of kicks. Luv stepped up and returned the favor with a hard chop across Kaito’s chest. Luv followed it with an elbow strike and set up for a suplex. Kaito twisted and landed behind Luv and delivered a blue thunder bomb. He rolled to his feet instead of looking for a cover and Park jumped up to the apron. She told Kaito that she was coming for his title and Kaito turned for her. He started to approach but was rolled up from behind with a backslide pin and Luv shocked the fans with a win.
WINNER: Leonard Luv, via pinfall 3:55
Luv jumped up and slipped out of the ring and shuffled up the ramp. Park jumped off the apron and just smiled as Hirano looked around.
Sabrina Scott Vs. Allen Chaney
It was time for the main event as Scott attempted to offer Chaney a smile and a handshake but he was having none of it, electing to just lock up as the bell sounded. Chaney powered Scott into the corner and unloaded a series of lefts and rights before hip tossing her into the center of the ring. Scott rolled to her feet and hit Chaney with a step up enziguri as he charged at her. Chaney staggered up and shook his head to clear it and Scott grabbed Chaney. She looked for a tornado DDT but Chaney pushed her off and she landed on the mat. He ran over and grabbed her and delivered a big gutwrench suplex. He rolled to his feet and held onto her by the gut and lifted her with ease and delivered a gutwrench powerbomb. Chaney took his time walking around the ring as Scott started to get to her feet. Chaney locked up with Scott and delivered a hard bionic elbow. This caused Scott to fall to a knee and allowed Chaney to look for another gutwrench powerbomb. Scott was able to reverse it into a big headscissors takedown and got the crowd to pop. She hit Chaney with a clothesline as he rose to his feet. Chaney got back to his feet and Scott was there looking for a small package but only got two. Chaney stumbled up to his feet and Scott hit him with a drop toe hold and hung him up on the second ropes. She looked around the ring and hit the far ropes, coming back and looked for the Blue Light Special (619) and connected. She stayed on the apron and jumped to the top ropes at the nearest turnbuckle. She measured Chaney up but he rolled and lunged at the ropes and knocked her off. Scott hit the mat and got to her feet slowly. Chaney was there and connected with a kick to the gut that was followed with the Set Up (Double Arm DDT). Chaney grabbed Scott by her hair and pulled her up slowly and said a few things to her. He delivered the Punchline (Package Piledriver) in the middle of the ring. Chaney didn’t go for the pin at first and pointed down at Scott and screamed towards the back and said “this is you, AJ”. Chaney ran off the ropes and hit a running senton and then covered Scott for the three count pinfall.
WINNER: Allen Chaney, via pinfall 10:55
Chaney got back to his feet and started to slowly stomp on the fallen Scott as the fans booed. It wasn’t long until they had something to cheer for as AJ Adams rushed to the ring for the save. He slid under the ropes and started to brawl with Chaney. He rocked Chaney with a spear and popped to his feet fired up. Chaney climbed to his feet and turned towards Adams. Adams charged and ran right into a right hand that seemed to knock him out.
Rayne: Did Allen just knock AJ out with a punch?
Nick Webb: Handcuffs!
Chaney had used handcuffs on his fist to rock Adams with a hard shot. He quickly cuffed the hand of Adams, put Adams hands tangled in the ropes and then cuffed the other. Adams started to come to as Scott staggered up slowly. Chaney rocked her with another Set Up as Adams struggled. Chaney took a few steps back and taunted Adams. He looked at Scott and delivered a vicious kick to the ribs. Adams was livid and thrashed around as Chaney just laughed and rolled out of the ring. He grabbed a chair from ringside and rolled back into the ring and placed it under the head of Scott. Adams shook his head and screamed at Chaney to not do it. Chaney smirked before crushing Scott’s head down onto the chair with the Heckler Control (Curbstomp) as Adams tried with all his might to get free. Chaney just laughed as he left the ring and trainers rushed down. We got a shot of them trying to free Adams and checking on Scott as we went off air.
