Nick Webb: Young becoming the new International Champion and we’ll find out her opponent for Heatwave a little later tonight. There was also Elena Simonova becoming the first ever four time BWF World Champion in a match of the year candidate against Brianna Park. We’ll also find out Elena’s Heatwave opponent tonight.
Rayne: Plus, a match already signed for Heatwave!
Nick Webb: That’s right! For the first time ever two industry icons will face off as Jacob Figgins goes one on one with the Hall of Famer Gabe Shelley.
Martin Karloff Vs. Alison James Vs. Miguel Perez
The first match of the evening was set and all three competitors quickly came to blows. Perez pushed Phantom out of the way and started to attack James with hard forearms. Phantom pulled Perez off and popped him with a European uppercut and then a snapmare. James sent Phantom into the ropes and hit him with a jumping clothesline. Phantom rolled to his feet and was taken down by James with a neckbreaker. James got to her feet quickly and Perez drove his knee into her gut before following it up with a snap suplex. Perez climbed to the second ropes and came leaping off, connecting with a leg drop on James. James and Phantom locked up quickly and try to Irish whip each other but they take turns blocking it by holding their ground. Phantom connected with a back elbow and followed it up with a Russian legsweep. Phantom started to pull Perez back to his feet and but James was there with a hard kick to Phantom. She springboarded off the ropes and caught both men with a cross body. James popped back up and was getting fired up. She hit the ropes and jumped as Phantom stood and took him down with the Axis of Rotation (Double Tilt-a-whirl Headscissors Takedown). She dove into a cover but only picked up two as Phantom kicked out. Phantom powered to his feet and ducked under a clothesline before flipping back and catching James with the Sine Oculus (Pele Kick). INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDERSHIP
Alex Silver Vs. Angel Kash
Webb and Rayne talk about how at Beta Test we saw a close contest that saw F.M. Young walk out of the event as the new International Champion. Silver came out determined and was ready for the fight. Kash started with a lot of trash talk and slapped Silver across the face as the bell sounded. Silver responded with a hard right hand that dropped her hard to the mat. Kash rolled to her feet and was flipped with a backdrop. Kash climbed back to her feet and ducked under a clothesline and took Silver down with a neckbreaker. Kash pulled Silver to his feet and connected with the Kash Out (Backstabber) and went for a cover but only picked up two. Silver staggered to his feet and Kash charged at him but ran into a stiff superkick. Kash hit the mat and Silver covered for a two count. Kash got back to her feet and looked to Irish whip Silver into the corner but he ran up the ropes and flipped back with the Silver Screen Highlight (Whisper in the Wind). He looked for a cover but Kash once again kicked out. Kash grabbed Silver and looked for the Buyout (Implant DDT) but Silver dropped down and rolled her up in a small package and Kash kicked out. Kash drove a knee into Silver as she stood. Kash looked for the Buyout again but Silver lifted her onto his shoulders and delivered the Silver Rush (Fireman’s Carry into Cutter) and covered for the win.
WINNER: Alex Silver, via pinfall 8:39
Ultimate Test
“White Flag Riot” by Odonis Odonis started to play as the fans began to boo and we saw Van Biafra walk out onto the stage and it was clear he wasn’t it in good mood. He walked to the ring and rolled in, grabbing the microphone from Scott Benjamin.
Van Biafra: Back at Beta Test, Kurt Hullum got lucky. Plain and simple. I’m not going to sit here and say otherwise but I’m here to say that at Heatwave I’m taking the title away from him. I’ve let him hold it long enough. I’m tired of getting shifted around by the Wyatts and I’m ready to take what is mine.
The opening of “Fenrir” by Fferyllt played briefly as Fenryr Wulfsson walked out to the stage. He started talking as his music cut and he continued walking to the stage.
Fenryr: Get in the back of the line, Van. You had your chance, you lost. The only thing you’re going to take is a number as you wait for your turn to come back around.
Fenryr has entered the ring and is a few feet away from Biafra as they stare each other down.
“Hero” by Nas kicked up and the fans cheered as Kaito Hirano walked out to the stage with a microphone in hand. He started to talk over his music and it quickly died down.
Kaito Hirano: And you lost to me, Fenryr. I beat you in the ring at Beta Test and am ready for challenge of the Sovereign Championship. I am here to challenge Kurt Hullum to a match.
The fans cheer as Kaito stands at the bottom of the ramp. The cheers quickly die down as the first few seconds of “Mz. Hyde” by Halestorm plays and Karli Frost made her way to the stage and walked down about halfway, looking at the three guys.
Karli: Excuse me but you’re all wrong. I was voted into the match at Beta Test and I wasn’t pinned or made to submit so clearly, I’m the number one contender. Kurt didn’t beat me and now I’m going to beat him.
"Ressha Sentai ToQger" by Daiki Ise quickly played for a few moments and the fans gave a cheer for Sabrina Scott.
Sabrina Scott: Don’t forget about me! I was in that match too and Kurt didn’t pin me.
We get a shot in the ring of Van Biafra getting frustrated.
Van Biafra:Everyone just shut up.
He’s cut off by “Crocodile Rock” and Jackson Wyatt coming out to the stage. He stands beside Sabrina Scott and looks around at everyone out on the ramps and stage.
Jackson Wyatt: I’m really enjoying how coveted the Sovereign Championship is right now. We have five great competitors all chasing the title and this is actually something I’ve given some thought over the past week. In two weeks we have BWF’s brand new summer spectacular, Heatwave! We already have a match made that’s a first time ever in Gabe Shelley and Jacob Figgins, so why not keep that going? The five of you want a shot at the Sovereign Championship? You got it. We’ve already announced on Twitter that Danny Hall will get his Sovereign Championship match next week against Kurt Hullum. The winner of that match will defend the title at Heatwave against the five of you in a, for the first time ever in a BWF ring, Ultimate X match!
The fans cheer as the competitors all look around at each other and we fade away.
CHAOS THEORY CHAMPIONSHIP
Johnny Maverick (c) Vs. Triad
We learn that the title is set to be defended in a hardcore match and there are trash cans sitting in each corner of the ring that are filled with various items. The bell sounded to start things off and the two men each ran to a trash can. Maverick grabs a trash can lid from two trash cans and Triad was readied with a kendo stick. Triad swung and Maverick blocked it with a lid. Maverick cracked the other lid over the skull of Triad. Triad staggered into the corner and Maverick smashed another lid off his head. Maverick dropped the lids and charged, connecting with a hard clothesline. Triad staggered out of the corner and Maverick looked for a suplex but Triad twisted and landed behind Maverick. Triad locked in a sleeper hold and tried to bring Maverick to a knee. Maverick threw an elbow back and broke the hold. Maverick spun around and took a hard kick to the knee. Triad sent Maverick into the corner and charged, delivering the Elephant Gun (Mafia Kick). Triad covered but only picked up two. Triad looked through the trash can and dumped it, not finding anything he liked. He smashed it over the head of Maverick and Maverick staggered and fell to his knees. Triad put the trash can down and hit the ropes, coming back, and hitting a bulldog into the trash can. Triad pulled Maverick to his feet and started to land hard kicks to the sides. Maverick caught the third kick and hit a dragon screw. He rolled out of the ring and found a stop sign under the ring and rolled back in. He placed it on the mat and grabbed Triad as he stood and delivered a belly to back suplex on the sign. Triad staggered to his feet and grabbed Maverick and looked for a small package but Maverick kicked out at two. Maverick got to his feet and drove his knee into Triad’s gut. He lifted him up and delivered the Welcome to DC (Reverse GTS) before rolling him into a cover and retained the title.

Rightful Contender
The camera panned backstage near the offices of Jackson and Elise Wyatt and loud arguing can be heard. The cameraman opens the door and steps in as we can see Brianna Park screaming at the Wyatts.
Brianna Park: How is this even a match? I should be getting a rematch at Heatwave.
Elise Wyatt: We talked that over and just want to ensure the very best event possible. This is the first year for Heatwave and we really want to take the right steps in giving it the main event that it deserves and knowing that Elena Simonova’s challenger beat three other competitors would make the match that much bigger.
Park throws her hands up in the air as she scoffs.
Brianna Park: Bull. I’m going to Heatwave as the contender. I demand my rematch.
Elise Wyatt: Then we wish you the very best of luck in tonight’s main event. If you win, you’ll be the number one contender.
Park looks at Elise Wyatt for a moment before slapping her across the face.
Brianna Park: Do I look like I need luck!?
Park goes to leap over the desk at Elise but security holds her back as she’s pulled out of the office kicking and screaming.
Jackson Wyatt: Throw her out of the building!
The fans are in shock as we go back to ringside.
TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIP
Honor Club (c) Vs. Ragnarok
The fans were buzzing as Rayne and Webb talked about the history between the competitors in the ring and tried to give us what insight they had to Ragnarok’s Eric Ingvar, who was wrestling alongside Fenryr and Frost while Rune watched ringside. Linette and Ingvar were going to start things off and locked up to start things off. Ingvar started things off with a shinbreaker on Linette. Ingvar viciously stomped on the shin and ankle of Linette. He grabbed her foot and delivered a foot DDT. Linette appeared to be in a lot of pain as she tried to crawl to her corner and Frost was tagged in. Frost pulled Linette to the center of the ring and applied a grapevine ankle lock. They both got to their feet and Fenryr delivered the Maul (Double Axe Handle) to Kaito to take him down. He pulled Kaito to his feet and lifted him up before dropping him with the 9-9-9 (Gorilla Press Slam). Fenryr covered but picked up two. Kaito crawled to his corner and looked to tag Scott but she was pulled off the apron by Frost on the outside. Kaito made the tag to Linette and she climbed the turnbuckle to the top ropes. She looked for a hurricanrana but Fenryr reversed into a powerbomb. Ingvar wanted the tag and Fenryr tagged him in. Ingbar grabbed Linette as she started to stand and locked her into the Wheel Breaker (Lighting Lock Beta). Fenryr fended off Kaito and Scott couldn’t get back into the ring before Linette tapped out.

X turned the move into a full nelson drop that drove Adams hard into the mat. X turned to Chaney starting to stand and delivered the Lobotomy (Double Legged Fame-Asser). X started to go for the cover when Jonathan Fhenix ran down the ramp and jumped onto the apron and started to say something to X. X turned his attention to Fhenix and tried to swing at him but missed wildly as Fhenix jumped off the apron. The force caused X to spin towards the center of the ring and right into Adams catching him with the Last Call (Codebreaker). The fans cheered as he dove onto X with both legs covered, counted along, and picked up the pinfall.
WINNER: AJ Adams, via pinfall 15:33
We got a shot of Adams celebrating as Chaney rolled out of the ring, realizing he lost the match. Adams checked on X as Fhenix laughed on the ramp. The final shot of the night was X and Adams standing in the middle of the ring with Adams patting X on the back.
