Episode 202 - July 10, 2015
Nick Webb: Welcome to episode 202 of BWF’s flagship program. This is Havok! We’ve had a night full of rivals going head to head and Havok will continue with that. Spykeman and Triad will step into the ring with Johnny Maverick as he teams with Fenryr Wulfsson. Allen Chaney and AJ Adams go one on one as they extend their rivalry.
Rayne: And we’re main evented by a Sovereign Championship match!
Silence the Doubters
"I'm the Best"(Naega Jeil Jal Naga) by 2ne1 blares out from the PA system as BWF World Champion Brianna Park comes out to a huge pop from the Chicago fans. Brianna is holding on to the world championship while she is also wearing the burnt Happenstance crown proudly. Brianna takes her time walking towards the ring while smiling for the cameras and posing for the fans. Once Brianna enters the ring, she receives a microphone from the Scott Benjamin before addressing the audience
Brianna Park: What's Up, Chicago!? It's great being here and it's even better being here as your RETAINING BWF WORLD CHAMPION!
Brianna raises her championship up high for the world to see as the crowd gives her a huge ovation.
Brianna Park: Once again I proved the critics and the doubters wrong and "shocked the world" by retaining this shiny belt and becoming the tenth conqueror of the Hellbound match. Then again, ladies and gentlemen, by now you shouldn't be surprised. Day one, I told you what my theme song suggested, Naega Jeil Jal Naga...I'm the best. Day one, I told you all that I came to BWF for one reason and that reason is to be at the very top of the ladder and carry BWF to new heights. I told you all that I strive on being the "underdog," the one nobody expects to make it big. Back in EWS, they said that I had so much potential in the world, but I can never be a world champion. The same people that saw how my time in EWS went came to BWF and criticized a wrestler like me and claimed that I will be a failure in this company just like I was in my last company. The same people that said that I won't beat Van Biafra for the Happenstance Crown that I'm wearing today. The same people that said that I won't win the world championship. The same damn people that said I won't retained my championship against the Hall of Famer and Legend, X. Those are the same people that didn't believe that I will survive the Hellbound match and even thought that I will be the first one out of the match.
Brianna Park does a dramatic pause.
Brianna Park:: You'd think that after everything I have accomplished here in BWF, that those people would shut up. Alas, they didn't. Now I know what you are all saying, "Brianna, why don't you let it go? Why can't you stop talking about the doubters and focus on your championship reign?" The thing is... I'm the type of person that likes to prove a point and that point is that I'm hands down the best wrestler, man and woman, that BWF has to offer! I had not one, but two pinfall eliminations during the Hellbound match. I took out AJ Adams and climbed up the ladder that was on top of the cage and snatched the title that was dangling high above me. At the Hellbound match, now only did I survived..but I CONQUERED it. All four wrestlers, as much as I respect them and acknowledge them as great competitor, were nothing to yours truly as I did what I do best and that is "shocked the world"
Brianna Park smirks as the fans are not sure how to make of Park's attitude.
Brianna Park:: Now I know you're all sadden of the fact that Queen B isn't wrestling tonight. I'm sorry about that. I'm truly am. I mean, you all pay your hard earned money to see me in action. To be honest, I actually asked the Wyatts for a nights off. My back is still sore from the hellacious Hellbound match and quite frankly I've worked my damn butt off for the past few months. I deserve a break and rest some of my nagging injuries I have suffered. As your world champion, I want to be at the top of my game and in great shape so that I can give you all the best damn matches you deserve. After all, It's not easy carrying BWF and as your world champion, I need to be at my very best and if it means having a night off, well..that is best for business. So I hope you all enjoy the show and try not to miss me too much. And remember, "naega jeil jal naga"... I'm the best.
Hirano and Silver shared a couple words before the match started. The two strikers moved around the ring to start and exchanged hard shots and kicks. Silver had hit a hard chop to the chest and followed with a neckbreaker. Once Silver got Hirano on the mat he was able to lock in various neck holds. Hirano was locked into a sleeper but started to battle out and fought to his feet. Hirano slipped under Silver and hit the Blue Thunder Bomb and covered for two. Hirano rocked Silver with a kick to the chest before he could stand. Silver caught an incoming second kick and hit a dragon screw. Silver pulled Hirano up but was whipped into the corner. Silver ran up the posts and caught Hirano with the Silver Screen Highlight (Whisper in the Wind). Silver slowly started to climb the ropes and and was looking for the O.P.N. (Corkscrew Senton Bomb) but Hirano knocked the ropes to rack up Silver. Silver flipped onto the mat and started to crawl to his feet. Hirano looked for the Yoi Yume O (Running knee to knelt opponent) but Silver ducked it and rolled Hirano up for two. They both rolled to their feet and Silver lifted Hirano for the Silver Rush (Fireman’s Carry into Cutter) but Hirano slipped behind him. Silver turned and was lifted into the Oyasumi (Fireman’s Carry Overhead Kick) but Silver slipped behind Hirano. Hirano turned and kicked Silver in the gut and caught him with the Osaka Bomb (Code Red) and picked up the big win.
WINNER: Kaito Hirano, via pinfall 11:29
Hirano helped pull Silver to his feet and raised his hand out of respect as Rayne and Webb put over that these two men could be future BWF World Champions and tonight could one day be a WrestleFest main event.
Triad and Spykeman came out second and talked a bit of strategy before the match. The slid into the ring and were quickly attacked by Fenryr and Maverick. Fenryr tossed Spykeman around the ring with power as Maverick and Triad exchanged hard shots. Triad looked for the Elephant Gun (Mafia Kick) but Maverick moved out of the way. Spykeman hit Fenryr with Sweet Christmas (Shining Wizard). He turned into Maverick who hit him with the OF!MF! (Running Shotei). Maverick turned back to Triad and Triad hit a few hard kicks onto Maverick and tried to pull him down for the Serpent (Koji Clutch). Maverick fought but Triad locked in the move briefly before Fenryr was there to pull him off. Fenryr drove a knee into Triad’s gut and hit the 9-9-9 (Gorilla Press Slam). Spykeman was back up and went to attack Fenryr and Fenryr hit Hel Road (Double Underhook Powerbomb). Maverick slipped in and covered Spykeman for the victory.
WINNERS: Johnny Maverick and Fenryr Wulfsson, via pinfall 7:51
After the match Fenryr had a few words for Maverick going to the cover. Fenryr says it was his but Maverick blew him off and rolled out of the ring.
The Forgotten took instruction from Nael at ringside as she held the Tag Team Titles. The 323 are ready for their second match of the night. Perez started things off once again as Phantom was going for his team. Phantom took his time with hitting Perez with hard shots before locking him into an abdominal stretch. Phantom would throw an elbow into the exposed ribs of Perez every so often. Perez finally was able to get free and hit a hip toss on Phantom. Perez caught Phantom with a Green-Lighted (Jumping Complete Shot). Both men were down and Phantom made it to the corner first to tag in Dagger. Dagger came in and looked for the Beyond the Wall of Sleep (Asai DDT into Double Knee Backbreaker) but Perez was able to get free and tag into Torres. Torres came in and hit the Chimuelo (Superman Punch) and was fired up. Dagger got to her feet caught Torres with a sidekick to the gut and a DDT. She tried to lock in an armbar but Torres fought out and got to his feet. Dagger went into the ropes and took a knee to the back from Perez on the apron. Torres hit another Chimuelo and then tagged out to Perez. Torres went to the outside and started to brawl with Phantom. Perez rolled Dagger up and put a foot on the ropes to assist and picked up the win.
WINNERS: The 323, via pinfall 10:42
Nael jumped on the apron and shouted Perez used the ropes but the referee didn’t see it. Perez and Torres jumped into the crowd and slipped away. The camera shifted ringside where Nick Webb announced that after the show was over we’d find out the full Beta Test card. They put over Beta Test where each match for Beta Test will have some sort of voting process for the fans to determine what they want to see. We learn that the stipulation for the BWF World Championship match would be picking Brianna Park’s opponent and Rayne gave us the four choices. Elena Simonova, X, Allen Chaney, and AJ Adams.
Unfinished Business
We got a small backstage segment with AJ Adams as he was asked by Don McMichael his mindframe going into his match with Allen Chaney tonight. Adams showed off his taped fists and explained that he was livid after the Hellbound match at Vertigo. He went on to say he considers himself to be the number one contender to the BWF World Championship and the he knows the fans will back him. Adams says that he should be standing there with the World Title over his shoulder but Chaney caused him to be standing there with bloody fists instead. He promised that no matter what, he would find a way to become the BWF World Champion once again.
In the first of two matches were two potential World Champion contenders collide X and Elena were ready to go. X quickly locked in a bearhug to try and wear down Elena. X speared Elena into the corner and started to land a few hard shots. He backed up and went for a corner splash but came down onto Elena’s boot as she lifted it up. Elena hit a staggered X with a running axe handle smash. X hit the mat and rolled to his knees and into the buzzsaw kick for the Hammer and Sickle. Elena went for a cover but only picked up two. X fought to his feet and hit a charging Elena with a spinning spinebuster. He pulled her right back up and looked for a powerbomb but she turned it into a headscissors takedown. X rolled to his feet and was hit with a running crossbody. X used the momentum to roll and land on top of Elena and hooked a leg but only got two. He pulled Elena to her feet and grabbed her by the throat and proceeded to hit a sit-down chokeslam. He rolled into a cover but only picked up two. X looked around and started to pull Elena to her feet as she tried to fight back. She drove a knee into X’s gut and looked for a Russian legsweep but X fought out. He grabbed her and started to lock in the Straight Jacket (Half chickenwing, half nelson) but Elena dropped to her knees and rolled X over her shoulder. X got to his feet and walked right into the Reverse Psychology (C4) and Elena picked up a win after the cover.
WINNER: Elena Simonova, via pinfall 12:42
X popped to his feet and couldn’t believe Elena got all three and talked to the referee but just shook his head and shrugged. He pointed to Elena and gave her a small clap before rolling out of the ring as she celebrated.
As soon as the bell rang Adams and Chaney were all over each other in an old fashion brawl. Webb made note that Adams’ chance at the BWF World Title was taken away by Chaney literally holding him back at Vertigo. Adams’ fists are tapped up after busting them open on the cell at Vertigo and as he fights with Chaney we can see the bandage on his right hand showing a little blood. Chaney hit a vertical suplex on Adams and rolled into barely a two count. Adams got to his feet and walked into a belly to belly suplex. Chaney caught Adams with a bionic elbow as he stood again and looked for the Set-Up (Double Arm DDT) but Adams turned it into a northern lights suplex. Adams rolled to his feet and quickly pulled Chaney up and powered him to his shoulders. Adams hit a death valley driver and rolled Chaney into a pinfall but only picked up two. Adams climbed to the top of the ropes and dove, looking for the Truly Awesome (Shooting Star Press) but Chaney rolled out of the way. Adams staggered to his feet and walked into a discus clothesline by Chaney. Chaney pulled Adams back up and scooped slammed him near the corner. Chaney steadied himself and hit the WTFFFF (Moonsault) and landed on Adams and hooked a leg but Adams barely kicked out before three. Chaney started to pull Adams back to his feet but Adams pushed him into the corner and charged with a hard running forearm. Adams pulled him out and hit a running bulldog. Chaney staggered to his feet and Adams looked for the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail) but Chaney fought out. Chaney grabbed Adams and hit the Punchline (Package Piledriver) and covered for the win.
WINNER: Allen Chaney, via pinfall 13:44
Chaney climbed to his feet and leaned into the corner with a smile on his face. He saw Adams on all fours as Webb and Rayne yelled for someone to stop Chaney as we were reminded of Hearts on Fire where Chaney tried to end Adams’ career. Chaney took a step as if he were going to hit the Heckler Control (Curbstomp) but decided to just rub his boot on the face of Adams in disrespect as the fans booed. He left the ring as Adams got back to his feet. Chaney can be heard saying “not worth it. I’ll save it for Park”.

We got the big announcement of the title match as Scott and Hullum are in the ring ready to go. Rayne and Webb make mention of their AXW match from last week (CURRENTLY AVAILABLE ON DEMAND ON THE BWF NETWORK!) where Hullum was able to defeat Scott. Scott came out looking for some redemption and impressed early on with a few rest holds that Hullum would get locked into everytime he’d try to get free. Scott tripped up Hullum up and looked for an Oklahoma roll and Hullum kicked out at two. He got to his feet and rocked Scott with a hard forearm smash. He grabbed Scott from behind and hit a lifting reverse DDT before locking in a sleeper hold. The fans tried to will Scott to her feet with cheers and they seemed to help power her to a knee. She was able to hit a belly to back suplex on Hullum. She crawled out to the apron and pulled herself to her feet. She springboarded in and hit the Seeing Stars (Colliding Headbutt). Hullum and Scott staggered around before Scott looked for a small package. Hullum was able to kick out at two and hit a hard short-arm clothesline on Scott as he got to his feet. Scott staggered to her feet and Hullum caught her with the Crash Landing (Snapmare Driver). He rolled her into a cover but only picked up two. Hullum waited for Scott to get to her feet but was soon distracted as Fenryr Wulfsson started to make his way down to the ring. He climbed in through the ropes and stood between Scott and Hullum and looked back and forth between them. He drove a big boot into Scott’s head as the referee called for the bell!
WINNER: Sabrina Scott, via DQ 14:42
Kullum slipped out of the ring and grabbed the Sovereign Title and got out of dodge, realizing his luck. Fenryr slapped the head of Scott as the fans booed saying Kurt was his to beat. He started to stomp on Scott briefly before starting to pull her to her feet. He set up for Hel Road and the fans popped with cheers as the rest of Honor Club charged the ring. Hirano and Linette made the save as Hirano attacked Fenryr and Linette tried to pull Scott out of the way. Hirano started landing hard strikes but was hit from behind as Rune, Karli Frost, and their manager Eric Ingvar made their way to the ring. Linette jumped back into the ring but the numbers game was too much as Rune and Frost were able to hit a double DDT to her. Fenryr turned the tide on Hirano. Fenryr set up Hel Road as Frost came jumping up and they hit the Bifrost is Falling Down (Double Underhook Powerbomb/Neckbreaker Combo). Linette was pulled to her feet and Fenryr lifted her for an electric chair drop and Rune came off the top to hit the End of All Things (Electric Chair Drop/Flying Clothesline). The show ended with Ragnarök standing tall.
