Episode 199 - June 5, 2015
Nick Webb: Welcome to Havok #199! Last week were live in Dallas for Tainted Twilight and what an event it was. If you haven’t seen it then go to the BWF Network and watch it.
Rayne: I’d argue that it was the best event of the year.
The two recap parts of the event before settling in for the night. We got a recap of the reveal of the brand new Trios Championship that will be awarded to one of four teams tonight.
Hirano and Lewis are going to start for their teams. Lewis came out quick with forearms to Hirano but was hit with a hard kick to the gut. Hirano hit Lewis with hard, calculated kicks. Kash snuck around the ring and grabbed the leg of Scott and pulled her off the apron. Scott’s head bounced off the apron and she collapsed on the floor. Linette jumped down and chased off Kash as she and the referee checked on Scott. Hirano was now fighting back and forth with Maverick and Maverick started to get the upperhand after locking in a rear naked chokehold. Trainers came down and carry Scott to the backstage. Hirano is able to tag out to Linette and she comes in hot and hits a few arm drags on Maverick. She hit a big belly to back suplex on Maverick. Maverick tagged out to Kash and she was able to take Linette down with a kick and Buyout (Implant DDT). The numbers game started to become too much as Maverick, Kash, and Lewis began to frequently tag in and out and work over Linette. Maverick was in again and missed a clothesline and Linette hit the ropes and caught him with the Rain-BOOM (Busaiku Knee). Linette tagged out to Hirano and he started to lift Maverick up. Lewis and Kash jumped into the ring and Linette came charging and hit them with a double dropkick and they went tumbling through the ropes. Hirano hit the Oyasumi [Goodnight](Fireman’s Carry into Overhead Kick). Hirano tagged to Linette and went to the top. Hirano took Kash and Lewis out with a suicide dive as Linette hit the Fallen Angel (Top-Rope 360 Double Footstomp) and covered for the win.
WINNERS: Xaria Linette, Kaito Hirano, and Sabrina Scott, via pinfall 11:31
Kash and Lewis roll into the ring and start to argue after the match. Kash turns to Maverick and starts to scream at him and Maverick lifts her and hits the Welcome to D.C. (Reverse GTS). Lewis leans over to look at Kash and gets hit with the Tony Jaa (Muay Thai Jumping Knee).
Hungry, Hungry Talents
The cameras of Havok go backstage as a still unfamiliar face, but familiar name, sits in the empty locker room, wrapping up his wrists in black tape, Triad slaps his wrist a few times against his hand and turns to the camera.
Triad: The Trios Title... Seems almost like a title made for me. Not like that Dragonzord title... no this one has an even better gimmick... three talents come together to form an unlikely alliance. My team just happens to have the resident superhero himself, Spykeman... and The fierce and deadly Zoe Cooper, and all of us with a piece of gold if we're willing to work together for it...
Triad sighed a little and shook his head.
Triad: My previous run in the BWF was all about working with a team to make one face seem good, there were five of us all without a real identity in the ring, we were all Triad... so I guess you could say I'm used to working with unfamiliar talents... but I'm not here as a faceless man to shine as a gimmick shared by three other guys. I am here to remove the tarnish the name Triad had when he was here last, and to make him the face of honor, integrity and respect in this company... but I don't see why that doesn't mean I can't work with the two of my teammates to achieve something great... and what better way than to start the name Triad off right than with the achievement of the First Trios Champion? An achievement I'll have to share with Spykeman and Zoe Cooper, but I'm used to that by now... it'll only be temporary I'm sure, title runs rarely last forever in the wrestling world.
He chuckled a little and started to wrap up his other wrist.
Triad: But of course, we'll have to go through two other teams to do it, I won't bother listing them all off here, I'm sure everyone watching already knows, and I don't think we need to address the fact that some of the people on these teams are not only former world champions, but hall of famers and their list of achievements go on... I can't begin to think of the hunger that these competitors might have when it comes to the chance at gold, but in the end, it will be only one team... and looking at my teammates... and looking at myself... we're not just hungry, we're starving for shinies...
He finished wrapping up his wrist and slapped it against his open palm again.
Triad: Just remember, anything goes.
Simonova and Cooper are set to start the match and Cooper’s knee is heavily bandaged as we get a recap from Tainted Twilight as to why. Cooper speared Simonova to the mat and they rolled around and fought with left and rights. Simonova pushed off and hit a snapmare on Cooper before tagging out to Triad. Triad came in and Cooper knocked Simonova off the apron and turned right into a running forearm. Rayne pointed out the mistake by Cooper as Triad and Cooper started to battle. Every time Simonova got to the apron she’d be knocked off by Cooper. Blazenwing called for a tag but Cooper refused. Finally Simonova pulled the ropes down when Cooper charged and she went over the top. Simonova jumped down and started to assault Cooper and stomped on her knee. They fought onto the announcer table and to their feet. Simonova hit a belly to back suplex as they crashed through it. They crawled to the ring and slid in. Stevens reached in over the ropes and tagged himself in and grabbed Cooper. He tried to roll her up but only got a two count. She got to her feet and stumbled backwards and Spykeman tagged himself in. Spykeman came in quick and hit a series of clotheslines and dropkicks to Stevens. Stevens tried to fight back with hard headbutts that also caused him to become dazed. Spykeman fell backwards and Triad tagged himself in. Triad and Spykeman hit a double flapjack onto Stevens and Triad rolled into a cover and picked up the win.
WINNERS: Triad, Spykeman, and Zoe Cooper, via pinfall 12:31
Cooper climbed back into the ring and told her partners to “not pull that stunt again” in reference to tagging themselves in and starts to gloat about eliminating Elena Simonova from the tournament. Jay Blazenwing checks on Elena and the table wreckage.
The Mouthpiece
Standing in the ring is Will Irwin. Suddenly, Karli Frost's music hits the sound system and she walks out from the back to a mixed reaction from the crowd in attendance. She walks to the ring quickly, climbs in, and Will begins his interview.
Will: Karli, Karli, Karli. This is actually the first time that we've had a chance to talk since you turned your back on everything that you once stood for.
Karli: Will, get on with it. I don't need you or anyone else wasting my time. You got something you want to say, then say it. You got questions, ask them. Otherwise, this interview is over.
Will: Okay, fair enough. My first question is how long did you think about it before you stabbed everyone in the back that ever cared about you?
Karli: Please, Will. I'm the victim in this scenario. Not you, the fans, and no other wrestlers. Me! I was the one that was betrayed at every turn.
Will: You're crazy to believe that, Karli. But go ahead and keep your delusions going, if that's what makes you happy. You stabbed all of your fans in the back. You betrayed Kaito just to expose him as a threat to Fenryr. And, of course, there's always me...
Karli: Don't even mention yourself, Will. I know what you did!
Will: I know. You think I actually slept with another woman, a "Craigslist skank", I think you said. But you're worse. I mean, I would tell everyone here what you do for a dozen White Castle burgers, but there are kids in the audience that wouldn't understand what I'd be saying.
The fans go crazy, and a "You're a slut" chant begins. Karli starts to lose it, and Will just laughs.
Karli: Who are you to judge me?
The chants continue, and the fans begin stomping their feet to accentuate their words.
Will: Decent crowd tonight, I'd say. What about you, Karli?
The fans cheer louder until suddenly the sound of a war horn blasts through the arena. Will flinches slightly as Karli paces slightly, her hands on her head as if she's about to tear her hair out. A man walks out of the back, wearing a black trenchcoat and carrying a microphone. It's a man that nobody has ever seen before.
Eric Ingvar: Will Irwin. BWF interviewer extraordinaire.
Eric begins walking to the ring.
Will: Who are you?
Eric: Nobody. Well, I'm not nobody, but as far as you need to know right now, I'm just a guy. Karli, why don't you go to the back and hit the catering table or take an early night.
Karli says something to Eric, who simply climbs the steps and looks at her. Karli falls silent and leaves the ring, walking to the back to the jeers of the crowd.
Will: Okay, then, "just a guy", this is my time slot and I was in the middle of my interview so...
Eric: Interview me. Actually, that's a great idea. Any time you feel the need to stick your nose into my business anymore, interview me. Leave Fenryr, Rune, and Karli alone. I will make Ragnarok's statements and take their questions. You will be speaking only to me in the future. I know you're going to protest, but Fenryr and I have already spoken to Mr. McMichael about this and he's solidly on board. Right now, I'm cutting this short. I have nothing to say to you.
Eric climbs out of the ring and walks up the ramp to the backstage area, leaving Will behind in the ring.
The Sovereign Champion Kurt Hullum is sitting ringside with Rayne and Webb, the wreckage of the table picked up for the most part. Hullum holds the title in his lap as he’s ready to watch the next match. Fenryr and Park are set and the bell sounded. Fenryr powered Park into the corner and started to hit hard elbows to the head. Park tried to fight out with kicks and landed one in the gut of Fenryr. She then caught him with a boot to the face and jumped to the second ropes. She dove and connected with a front dropkick and kipped up. She got the fans behind her and looked for a springboard crossbody but Fenryr caught her and turned it into the 9-9-9 (Gorilla Press Slam). Fenryr climbed to the second rope and looked for the Maul (Double Axe Handle) but Park turned it into a modified Seoul Food (Eat Defeat). She covered but Fenryr shocked as he kicked out at two. He started to battle back and hit a few scoop slams and slowed the match down. He turned to Hullum and made a motion towards his Sovereign Title as Hullum didn’t budge. Fenryr pulled Park to her feet and hit a belly to belly suplex. He pulled her back up and hit a belly to back suplex. He popped up and pulled her back up again and hit a gutwrench suplex. He motioned for the end and pulled Park up and set up for Hel Road (Double Underhook Powerbomb) but Park turned it into a headscissors takedown as the crowd popped. Fenryr staggered to his feet and Park hit him with another Seoul Food and covered for the win.
WINNER: Brianna Park, via pinfall 11:52
Park jumped to her feet in celebration as Webb put over the impressive match. She pointed out to Hullum before ducking out of the ring as Fenryr started to rise.
Nael held onto both of the Tag Team Titles as the match started. Phantom and Jackson start things off in a fast paced match. They exchange lefts and rights and Jackson hits an arm drag. Phantom comes right at her with a running dropkick. Jackson hits the corner and hits him with a lifting big boot. Phantom staggered backwards and was hit with a spear. Jackson tagged out to Omen and he came in quick with a headscissors. Phantom rolled to his corner and tagged out to Dagger. Dagger came in and hit a running headbutt to Omen. She hit the ropes and came back with a jumping heel kick. Omen hit the ropes as he fell backwards and was clotheslined over the top rope by Dagger. Dagger tagged out to Phantom and he jumped from the apron to hit a axe handle smash on Omen. He rolled Omen into the ring and covered and got a two. Omen got to his corner to Jackson and Phantom tagged to Dagger. Dagger ducked a clothesline and looked for a DDT. Jackson spun away and looked for a neckbreaker but Dagger spun Jackson. She turned and looked for the Beyond the Wall of Sleep (Asai DDT into Double Knee Backbreaker) but Jackson pushed her away. Jackson tripped Dagger for the Bloodline (619) and then rolled her up as she bounced off the ropes. Omen speared Phantom as he entered the ring and Jackson picked up the pinfall.
WINNERS: T.K.O., via pinfall 9:09
Assertive Negotiations
Will Irwin storms through the back and marches up to Don McMichael's office. The door is open and the room is in shambles.
Will: What the hell happened, Don?
Don: I had a meeting with this Eric and Fenryr. Eric calmly stated that he was to be interviewed for all of Ragnarok instead of taking individual interviews, which I refused. This is the end result. They completely destroyed my office.
Will: I can see that. What are we going to do?
Don: Nothing. Interview Eric for Ragnarok until I can get all of this figured out. I don't like it, but if it'll keep my desk organized while I determine exactly what we can do, we'll do it.
Will: This guy dangerous?
Don: Look around, Will. I will admit that this is mostly Fenryr, though. Eric seems like a male version of Rune, but less...spaced out.
Will: Great. Grounded insanity.
Don chuckles as the two men begin to reorganize his office. The scene fades to black.
Coming Soon to PPV
Friday, June 26, 2015
The crowd is treated to BWF World Champion X sitting ringside as Chaney and Adams are ready to compete. Chaney and Adams mouth off to each other as the bell sounds. Chaney smacks Adams in the side of the head and hits a hard bionic elbow before rushing him into the corner. Chaney unloads with hard lefts and rights on Adams and kicks him to the mat. Chaney took a few steps back and ran, jumping and flipping as he cannonballed into Adams in the corner. Chaney pulled Adams to his feet and into the middle of the ring. Adams fought back with elbows and a kick to the gut. He caught Chaney with the Eat It (Fame Asser) and rolled into a cover for a quick two. Adams pulled Chaney up and hit a suplex. He hooked the tights and looked for a second suplex but Chaney reversed into a falcon arrow. He pulled Adams back up and started to set up for the Set Up (Double Arm DDT) but Adams reversed into a northern lights suplex. Adams was fired up and pulled Chaney up and started to set up for the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail) but Chaney pushed him away and hit the cactus clothesline as they both went over the top ropes. Both were slow to get up and Adams pushed Chaney into the apron back first and then hit him with a suplex on the floor. Adams rolled in and out of the ring and started to grab Chaney again. Chaney hit a bionic elbow and tossed Adams into X at ringside! Adams crashed into X sitting in the chair as the crowd buzzed. Chaney hit X and then Adams and started to pull him back up. X jumped on Chaney and the referee threw out the match.
WINNER: No Contest 10:44
X landed a few hard shots and backed Chaney into the barricade and clotheslined him into the crowd. X climbed the barricade and Chaney pushed him off and he hit the floor. Chaney pushed his way past the fans, shoving them out of his way, as he left through the crowd. Adams got to his feet and helped X to his feet and handed him the BWF World Championship to the delight of the fans as the two shared words.
Webb points out that Scott is not here for her team as she is still being looked at backstage by trainers and we’re looking at a two on three match. Rayne called it a miracle they won the last match and doesn’t think they have two in them. Webb pointed out that Cooper might need to rely more on her teammates or they could be in for a loss. Hirano and Spykeman started for their teams and Hirano was getting a lot of support from the fans. Spykeman hit a springboard clothesline after getting whipped into the ropes. Spykeman tagged out to Triad who came in quick and started to land hard shoot kicks to Hirano. Hirano fought back with a hard kick of his own and followed it with a jumping spin kick. Hirano hit a jumping DDT on Triad and tagged in Linette. Linette came in and hit a no hands momentum double foot spin kick that got the fans to pop. She tried to lock in a figure four but was kicked away. Triad rolled to his feet and Linette caught him with a running neckbreaker. She tagged back out to Hirano and he pulled Triad up. Triad hit a jawbreaker on Hirano and then followed with whipping him into the corner. Triad charged and rocked him with the Elephant Gun (Mafia Kick in Corner). Triad tagged out to Cooper. Cooper hit a suplex on Hirano and looked for a pin but only got two. She quickly pulled Hirano up and started to lock in the Z-Clamp (Dragon Sleeper) but before she could drop him into the scissors Hirano reversed into an Asai DDT. Both were slow to get up but Cooper was to her feet and pulled up Hirano. He pushed her backwards and she tripped over the referee and he hit the corner. Linette jumped into the ring as Spykeman and Triad jumped in to help Cooper and the match started to break down. In the chaos, Elena Simonova ran down the ramp and slid into the ring and hit Cooper with the Vodka Tonic (Canadian Destroyer) as the fans popped. Simonova clotheslined Spykeman over the top rope as Linette caught Triad with the Rain-BOOM (Busaiku Knee) and went back to the apron. The referee was coming to as Elena stood on the ramp and the fans popped as Sabrina Scott appeared from the back. Elena tells her to “go get it done” as Scott runs and jumps on the apron. Hirano reaches the corner and tags to Scott and the fans lose it. Scott jumps to the top rope and hits the Sonic Rainboom (Red Arrow) on Cooper. Hirano and Linette keep Triad and Spykeman at bay as the crowd counts and the referee is there to count the three.
WINNERS AND NEW BWF TRIOS CHAMPIONS: Sabrina Scott, Xaria Linette, and Kaito Hirano
As Elena stands on the stage and grins at her handiwork, Kaito and Xaria help Sabrina up and the trio celebrate with their new titles, hugging and high fiving one another (hugs probably from Sabrina mostly, lol). Confetti falls and the crowd is super hyped as Elena heads backstage and Havok starts to fade out as Rayne and Webb talk about the resiliency from Scott. The Trios Champions are on the stage as the picture fades to black but becomes clear again as they’re laid out from behind! Van Biafra, Kara Scene, and Leland Morgan are flanked by Ellis Straker attack the new champions. Straker barks orders as the 27 Club assaults the trio. The fans are nuclear as they boo the 27 Club and Hirano is rocked with the Hybrid Moment (Boma Ye Knee) by Morgan. Linette was suplexed on the stage and Scott was hit with a DDT by Biafra. The 27 Club stand over the new champs as we fade to black.
