Episode 198 - May 22, 2015
Nick Webb: Welcome to episode 198 of BWF’s flagship program, Friday Night Havok! We are one week away Tainted Twilight.
Rayne: And what a show it’s already lining up to be.
Nick Webb: We also learned during our week off that Danny Hall has been added to the number one contenders match between Allen Chaney and AJ Adams.
Rayne: I think the Wyatts are on crack. I don’t understand how that decision was made. Instead of one funeral we now have two to plan.
Nick Webb: Tonight we’ll also learn who will face off against Kurt Hullum for the Sovereign Championship. That match will start off our night but lets look at the main event of tonight and Tainted Twilight. Tonight’s match between Brianna Park and Allen Chaney is going to be meaningful for both as they look to have momentum going into next week’s event. We touched on Allen’s match at Tainted Twilight but how about Brianna?
Rayne: She will be competing against X as he defends the BWF World Championship. A match that seems to have respect between the two of the competitors. We’re still learning a lot about Brianna Park as time goes on. She seems like she’s ready to step up into the spotlight.
The ring was filled with the 18 competitors all trying to become the number one contender to the Sovereign Championship. Kash and Cooke tried to work together and attacked Triad. Elsewhere Brian Camden quickly found himself getting tossed out by Perez and Torres and sent to the floor.
ELIMINATED: Brian Camden
Figgins and James worked together and started to brawl with the 323 as Lightening and Radar fought. Biafra was tearing through the competitors with rage. He hit the Quickiller (Spinning Backfist) on Cavalry before clotheslining him over the top rope.
ELIMINATED: Chris Cavalry
Brian Camden was struggling to not get tossed out of the ring by Blazenwing on one side of the ring. Spykeman saved James from getting tossed out of the ring by Perez. Spykeman tossed him over the top ropes and he landed on the apron. Torres grabbed Spykeman and whipped him across the ring and into the ropes, Perez dropped down and pulled the top ropes and Spykeman went flying out of the ring.
ELIMINATED: Spykeman
Perez stood on the apron and Figgins came charging and dropkicked him out of the ring.
ELIMINATED: Miguel Perez
Blazenwing turned and hit Lightening with the Full Effect (Superkick) and he went flying over the top ropes.
ELIMINATED: James Lightening
Kash and Cooke are seen grabbing Whiplash and sending him over the ropes.
ELIMINATED: J.T. Whiplash
Ryan Lewis dropkicks Radar to send him over the ropes.
ELIMINATED: Radar
Lewis is grabbed and pushed over the top by James.
ELIMINATED: "Kumquat Kid" Ryan Lewis
Figgins and James are clotheslined over the top rope by Torres.
ELIMINATED: Destiny Figgins and Allison James
Quinn gets clotheslined by Biafra over the top rope.
ELIMINATED: Brayden Quinn
Biafra has Kash and Cooke sneak up from behind and dump him over the top ropes.
ELIMINATED: Van Biafra
Blazenwing hits another Full Effect and connects to Torres to knock him out.
ELIMINATED: Alejandro Torres
Triad knocks Blazenwing out of the ring soon after.
ELIMINATED: Jay Blazenwing
We were down to the final four of Triad, Kash, Cooke and Maverick. Maverick had been knocked into the corner and sat against the turnbuckles. Cooke and Kash try to dump Triad and he’s able to fight out. He puts one on each shoulder and backdrops them over the top.
ELIMINATED: Jayson Cooke and Angel Kash
Triad falls to a knee to catch his breath and Maverick jumps to his feet as if nothing was wrong and rushed Triad, clotheslining him over the ropes to pick up the win.
WINNER: Johnny Maverick, via elimination [10:33]
As Maverick celebrates his win, Kurt Hullum walks out to the stage and holds up the Sovereign Championship. Maverick motions for the title around his waist as Hullum just smiles.
Rattling the Cage
Fenryr stands in the back, Karli on one side and Rune on the other. They appear to be talking to him, first one then the other, in a manner that seems to keep him from getting a word in edgewise.
Rune Sigidottir: I mean, I just don't think it's fair. Eighteen people in a match for the number one contender for my belt, and you're not even on the list? What about your rematch clause? You should have a rematch. Kaito cheated. You don't cheat. I've never cheated. Karli doesn't cheat.
Fenryr Wulfsson: I don't care about that belt right now.
Rune Sigidottir: That hurts my feelings. You know how much I love that belt. You know how much money I spent on clothes to match it.
Fenryr Wulfsson: I do know. For some reason, it came out of my bank account and not yours.
Rune Sigidottir: That's irrelevant. I just think you should... try to get it back for me.
Karli Frost: Yeah, Fenryr. It's the Sovereign Title. It's kind of a big deal. You should totally do something about that. It's not right. None of those people can be the number one contender for the title, you already are.
Fenryr shakes his head, staring at the ground.
Fenryr Wulfsson: Now I know why Van Gogh cut an ear off. He probably had two women trying to tell him what to do. I curse the fact that I still have both of mine.
Karli Frost: Van Gogh was a play writer or something. You're a wrestler. You're supposed to want titles...
Fenryr Wulfsson: What I want is nobody's concern...
Rune Sigidottir: You have to prove your dominance...
Fenryr Wulfsson: Don't worry about...
Karli Frost: Come on, Fenryr. Be a man.
Fenryr stares at Karli before squaring up on her. Rune looks at her, her eyes wide. Karli looks like a deer in the headlights. Fenryr looks her first down, then up, before walking away. When he is out of earshot, Rune bursts out laughing. Karli still looks stupefied. After a few moments, Rune regains some control over herself and looks at Karli.
Rune Sigidottir: You have no idea how close you were to being killed right there!
Karli Frost: Do you think it worked?
Rune Sigidottir: Yeah. It worked. Almost too well. And Van Gogh was a painter. This is why I'm the strategist and you're a cute girl with a good butt.
Karli Frost: Hey! I can strategize!
Rune Sigidottir: Clearly. Let's go. We have a match.
Karli and Rune enter the ring and wait in their corner for Kaito to make his entrance. The bell sounds and the match is underway. Rune and Karli do “rock, paper, scissors” to determine who starts the match. They both pick scissors and shrug at each other before charging at Kaito and driving him back into his corner with hard forearm shots that turn to kicks to his midsection. The referee counts and immediately before being disqualified, Karli slowly backs towards her corner. Rune puts her boot into Kaito's throat, choking him. She holds the move for nearly a full count and breaks. Rune pulls him to his feet and whips him to her corner. She is right behind him and as soon as he hits the corner she nails a Yakuza kick. Rune tags in Karli after kneeing Kaito in the gut. The pair resume kicking him, using up the referee's count. Karli whips him into the ropes, where he holds on. Karli charges after him, looking for a clothesline, but Kaito sits down, pulling the rope with him, and Karli goes over the top to the floor. Rune moves to come in, but as she's climbing through the ropes Kaito hits her with a single leg dropkick and sends her to the floor as well. Kaito stays in the ring.
Nick Webb: Rune and Karli very aggressive tonight. This is a smart move by Kaito. Get some space from these two and take a breather.
Rayne:Yeah, it's a smart move, but there are plenty of things outside of the ring that could be used to make this match more even. He needs to get out there and take one of these girls out.
Kaito let's Karli climb back in, and Rune takes her position back in the corner. The match resumes, with Kaito gaining early momentum through a series of shoot kicks targeting Karli's legs. His attacks continue, leading to him hitting a Blue Thunder Bomb on Karli for a two count before Rune charges in with a stomp to the back of his head. Rune is pushed out by the official and Kaito keeps the pressure on Karli, but she is able to escape a suplex with a spinebuster and make a desperation tag to Rune. Rune gains some momentum in the match by landing a shining wizard on Kaito as he gets to his feet. Rune lands a few kicks on Kaito, then a curb stomp, and stalks him before taking his head off with the Gleipnir (Ambush Clothesline). She covers for a very close two count before Kaito gets the shoulder up. Rune tags in Karli, who climbs the top rope and lands the Tomkitty (Long-range Diving Frog Splash Double Elbow Drop). Karli covers, but Kaito powers out again. The crowd cheers loudly for Kaito, willing him back to life. Karli can't believe it and she goes back to her corner, talking to Rune and coming up with a plan. She tags in Rune, who pulls Kaito to his feet. Karli climbs up to the top rope as Rune pulls Kaito to his feet. Kaito hits a jumping DDT on Rune. Karli steadies herself as Kaito adjusts Rune's body in the ring. Karli looks for the Phoenix Splash and hits Rune perfectly. Karli finds her feet only to find Kaito ready for her, and she falls into a neutral corner begging for mercy. Her pleas fall on deaf ears as he pulls her to her feet. She hits him with a right hand, but the crowd pops when he, unfazed, lifts her up as if going for a suplex and dumps her over the top rope, landing with both knees on the apron. She falls further, landing on the floor. She holds both knees, rolling around in pain for a moment before finding her feet. Rune is laid out in the ring, and Karli is standing on the outside, leaning against the apron and favoring her right knee.
Nick Webb: Karli could be hurt.
Rayne: Yeah. Could be her leg. I should go check on her.
Nick Webb: Will you sit down and pay attention?!
Kaito slides under the bottom rope and runs around the ring, delivering a clothesline on the seemingly hurt Karli Frost, sending her to the floor. She too is out. Kaito dives back into the ring where Rune has only just begun to stir and rise to her feet. Kaito is quick to capitalize on the situation, lifting Rune into a fireman's carry to hit the Oyasumi [Goodnight] (Fireman's Carry Overhead Kick) and cover for the pinfall victory.
WINNER: Kaito Hirano, via pinfall [8:42]
The referee raises Kaito's arm as Rune rolls out of the ring. The crowd suddenly starts to buzz, and Fenryr dives under the bottom rope. He barrels through the referee, sending him through the ropes and he grabs Kaito and German Suplexes him. Kaito holds his back as Fenryr stands over him, his eyes wild, teeth clenched and breathing heavy. Fenryr doesn't miss a beat before pulling Kaito back to his feet and hitting him with the Hel Road (Double Underhook Powerbomb). Fenryr rolls out of the ring, standing near Karli who is hopping on one leg. Fenryr talks to her for a moment before he and Rune help her to the back.
Kash Money
In the backstage area we see Triad getting interviewed by Kim Cranston. She asks him about coming so close to winning the battle royal and he says that it was a bummer but will keep on fighting. He's here to prove something and that it was just one match out of many to come. He's attacked from behind as Angel Kash and Jayson Cooke push him against the wall and start to lay into him with hard stomps. Xaria Ford comes rushing in for the save and causes Kash and Cooke to get out of dodge. Ford bends down to check on Triad as Cranston calls someone over to help. Ford starts to turn her head and gets kicked hard in the skull by Kash, who had come running back for another sneak attack. Ford and Triad are down as Kash laughs, leaving the scene as trainers come to check on the fallen superstars.
Supreme Reign
Somehow, in the middle of the backstage area, there sits a throne. Atop it sits Dagger, legs crossed as she hummed softly, contemplating. A silver cup resting in her hands.
Dagger: Justice has fallen. We thought it would rule forever. But that’s folly. Order never lasts. It is born from entropy. The Club fails to realize this. The Club thinks they have order. They think they control things. But they learned quickly that all it takes is a variable to show control is ever so fleeting. Static Age. Static. Stasis. To suspend movement. To halt progress. An age of zero progress. HOW INFURIATINGLY DULL.
In the flash, the cup flew from her hand and clattered off into the distance. One breath. Two Breaths. Calm.
Dagger: Scared simpering fools. Afraid of change. Afraid of the fact that it takes so very little to change everything. As the vocal Justicar may say. Your downfall is simply mathematical. Especially now especially with me. The variable. 2 +2 is always four. But what happens when you throw X into the equation. You don’t know. You tend to fail when you dont know. Your control is but a fantasy , just like the aspirations of TKO. You wish to be at the top of the mountain. It’s so wondrous and triumphant in your mind. But when it came to reality. Well, it became forgettable fast. I still have an obstacle, but they are no trouble. Against an opponent who would let obstacles be obstacles, and another who tries to avoid them entirely. I should have no problem with either of you. Tonight, and at the taint of twilight entropy shall reign supreme.
She rose to her feet, exiting stage left.
Dagger: Do try not boring me.
At ringside we see Van Biafra, Ellis Straker, and Kara Scene ready to cheer on Morgan. On the other side of the ring we see Omen IV there to cheer on his partner. Morgan looks at his teammates on the outside of the ring and starts to say a few things to them as he’s attacked by Jackson. She started to land hard lefts and rights that knock him into the corner. Dagger pulls Jackson off and hits an uppercut. Dagger hit a snapmare on Jackson and rocked a kick into her back. Morgan grabbed Dagger and delivered a high arching German suplex. He bridged into a pin but Dagger quickly kicked out after one. She rolled to her feet and ducked an incoming clothesline. Jackson caught her by surprise and hit a jumping neckbreaker. Jackson rolled to her feet but was hit with a kick to the gut by Morgan. Morgan lifted Jackson up and stalled her in the air. He brought Jackson crashing down to the mat with a brainbuster and rolled into a cover. Dagger pulled Morgan off Jackson at two and dove into her own cover. Morgan pulled Dagger off at two and pulled her to her feet. Morgan started to lift Dagger up for a fireman’s carry but she was able to roll him down into a small package that only got one as Jackson broke it up. Jackson charged and hit a dropkick, one foot each hitting Dagger and Morgan. She started to climb to the ropes but Dagger got to her feet and ran up the ropes and hit a hip toss that took her hard into the mat. Morgan grabbed Dagger and looked for a belly to back suplex but Dagger flipped behind him. She whipped Morgan into the corner and charged, hitting the Hither Whirling (When opponent is cornered, Dagger charges and leaps into a front flip [much like one would for a senton] and plants both feet firmly into their chest with a dropkick). Biafra and Scene jump onto the apron and all hell starts to break loose.
Nick Webb: I think the numbers game is about to come into play.
Rayne: Thugs!
Scene distracts Dagger just long enough for Biafra to get in the ring and rock Dagger with the Quickiller (Spinning Backfist). Omen IV jumps into the ring but the numbers game quickly rules him out as Scene takes him out with the Rules of Attraction (Corkscrew Roundhouse Kick).
Suddenly, Phantom comes out of nowhere and levels Ellis with a clothesline, and then drags him quickly up to the stage. Van, Scene and Morgan all exit the ring but Nael quickly yells at them to not take another step as Phantom lines Ellis up for a piledriver on the steel stage. Nael is hurt from the attack two weeks ago, yet somehow seems to be relishing the pain, as if feeling it makes her feel complete. She lifts a mic to her lips and speaks, her eyes never leaving those of the 27 Club.
Nael: Don't mistake this for vengeance, Van. Your attack to me hurt, but I understand it. I send a message by fiddling with your cute team's title belts. You send one by hurting me. This is the language our kind naturally operates in.
As Van, Scene and Morgan are distracted on the outside, Dagger crawls over and drapes an arm on top of Kristy - and as the match is still on, the referee counts 1, 2, 3, awarding Dagger the win.
WINNER: Dagger, via pinfall [9:31]
As the 27 Club protests, Biafra finally says "Enough!" and charges up the ramp. He stops in his tracks as Nael smiles sadistically, snaps her fingers and Ellis is dropped on his head onto the stage to a pop from the Chicago crowd. As Van Biafra yells "You're all DEAD!" from the ramp, Nael lifts the mic back up.
Nael: So, by all means, reply at your leisure. Let me know what else you would like to lose.
With that, the lights go out - when they come back on, Nael, Phantom and Dagger are all gone. As Van and the 27 Club check on Ellis, Rayne and Webb discuss what we just saw - and the fact that, by the rules of this three way, The Forgotten are now a part of the BWF Tag Team Title Match at Tainted Twilight, while subsequently wondering if The Forgotten may have gone too far and bitten off more than they can chew with the 27 Club.
Expert Opinion
The cameras go to the backstage area as a trainer looks at Karli's knee, while Fenryr stands behind him. Rune stands on the opposite side. The trainer stops examining her.
Trainer: I'm not seeing anything wrong. There is some swelling, but that's probably just from landing on the apron.
Fenryr Wulfsson: Check her again. Be certain.
Karli Frost: I'm fine, he already said twice...
Fenryr Wulfsson: Check her. You can't trust her judgement. She just Phoenix Splashed her own partner.
The trainer shakes his head and begins checking Karli's knee again. While this is going on, Will Irwin walks up with a microphone.
Will Irwin: Excuse me, I need a word...
Fenryr Wulfsson: What the hell do you want? Can't you see she's hurt here?
Will Irwin: I don't want to talk to her. I want to talk to you.
Fenryr Wulfsson: This better be fast Will, and it better not be anything that pisses me off.
Will Irwin: Just a reaction to what happened tonight? Nothing extravagant.
Fenryr Wulfsson: Reaction? I'll tell you my reaction. What happened tonight means nothing. He beat up a couple of green girls that still don't understand how to work together. Two girls that, for some reason, the BWF and Kaito think I need at ringside to beat him next week. I don't need any help to beat up that guy which I just proved out there. Besides, I have a week to rest. He has a week to recover. Let him and his idiot fans chew on that.
Fenryr turns back to the trainer and Will Irwin walks away. The trainer walks away as well. Fenryr looks to the two girls.
Fenryr Wulfsson: I'm not going to look like an idiot every time you two are involved in any aspect of my career. Rune, the next time the phone rings you better answer it. I don't like the guy but he can at least get the two of you on the same page.
Rune nods and the scene fades to black.
Scott came down to the ring and watched Cooper closely. She went to roll into the ring and Cooper quickly ambushed her with stomps. She pulled her to her feet and started to land hard lefts and right onto the International Champion. Cooper was pushed away by Scott and hit with a step-up enziguri. Scott tried to regain her composure and pulled Cooper to her feet. Scott drove a knee into Cooper’s gut and measured her up. She looked for a clothesline as she came off the ropes but Cooper ducked it. Cooper turned and looked for the Roundabout (Spinning Heel Kick) but Scott ducked it. Cooper was sent into the corner and Scott charged after her but was hit with a back elbow to the head. It stunned Scott and she was tossed into the corner as Cooper started to land vicious kicks and punches. The referee tried to force Cooper off as Scott fell to the mat and Cooper continued with vicious kicks. The referee is forced to call the match as Cooper refuses to break.
WINNER: Sabrina Scott, via disqualification [3:13]
After the match, the beating continues until Elena Simonova charges the ring, chasing Zoe off. She checks on Sabrina, who fangirls out, despite all the pain she's in, as Havok cuts to commercial.
Too Far Gone
The camera shifts backstage, where Elena Simonova is helping Sabrina Scott. Sabrina is bleeding from her forehead, and officials soon arrive to help Sabrina as Don McMichael appears.
Don McMichael: Elena, please, a word.
Officials walk Sabrina off-screen as a visibly angered Elena Simonova turns to Don.
Don McMichael: Elena, the -
Elena grabs the mic from Don and turns her attention to the camera.
Elena Simonova: Zoe. Take your anger out on me all you want. But this... thing you've created? It's between ME and YOU. How - dare - you lay your hands on a sweet, innocent girl like Sabrina? And for what? What purpose? Because you can?
She pauses, fuming.
Elena Simonova: Blame me for your shortcomings all you want. It's obvious I'm not going to be able to convince you that your failings are your own. But when you begin lashing out against others who have done nothing wrong - a girl whose only crime is that she is a fan of mine?
Another pause.
Elena Simonova: Until now, I held out hope that the young enterprising blonde I first took under my wing two years ago was still in there somewhere. I even halfheartedly hoped that you beating me at Danger Zone might finally quell your anger and start you back on a more righteous path. Now, I know the disheartening truth; Zoe Cooper is too far gone to be saved. And that means there's only one option that remains. You need to be euthanized - and I'm the one who has to do it.
Elena motions off-screen, in the direction that Sabrina was taken.
Elena Simonova: Because I'm NEVER going to let that happen again.
Elena thrusts the mic into Don's chest, and then walks off towards the medical area as the scene fades to the ring.
X, AJ and Danny are in the ring. Kurt comes out, mic in hand, and explains that he thought this match was a joke; that he was going to team up with Da Bomb's manager, Danny Hall, not this "freakish looking guy with a nail in his mouth". Kurt shakes his head and says he has a title match at Tainted Twilight to get ready for, so unless a purple skunk is produced, he's leaving. As Danny protests, Kurt says "No? Alright then. See you all next week, and don't forget to pick up your #WorldOfKurt T-Shirt and Kurt Hullum action figure at merchandise stands all around the arena!"
Danny Hall can’t believe what’s happening as he screams at Hullum as he leaves. He turns around slowly as it sets in what’s about to happen. AJ Adams leans against the ropes and just smirks as X looks at AJ and then Danny. Adams motions for X politely to “have at it” as Hall tries to attack. He lands a few right hands before X drove a knee into his gut. Hall was doubled over before trying to tackle X into the corner. He looked for a discus clothesline but as he spun around was hit with a big jumping clothesline by Adams. Adams pulled Hall to his feet and tossed him to X who took him down with a big spinebuster. X pulled Hall to his feet and X and Adams took turns landing shots on Hall, like a pinball between the two. X finally drove another knee into the gut of Hall and spun him around before Adams hit him with the Last Call (Codebreaker). X and Adams talked for a few moments and Adams pulled Hall back to his feet. He set him up and planted Hall with the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail). Adams pulled Hall up by his hair and held him in place as X jumped and hit the Lobotomy (Double Leg Fame-asser). Both men shrug and kneel down and cover Hall to pick up the win.
WINNERS: AJ Adams and X, via pinfall [3:52]
X is handed the BWF World Title after the match is over and Adams walks back over to him and says a few words before pointing at the belt. X holds it up and smiles before placing it on his shoulder. Adams nods and smirks as he touches the belt a few times with his finger and then to himself. Webb asks if we’re seeing a future main event staredown and Rayne says maybe but that they have to get through the next two people in action.
Coming Soon to PPV

Park and Chaney stood across from each other as the bell sounded. Park backed up into the ropes as Chaney rushed her with lefts and rights. Park is able to block most of the shots before getting hit with a hard bionic elbow. Chaney pulled Park to the center of the ring and hit a powerbomb. He dropped to a knee and hooked a leg for a cover but Park kicked out. Park was pulled to her feet and sent into a corner. Chaney charged but Park caught him with a boot to the chest. Park jumped to the top rope and came diving and hit Chaney with a dropkick. Park kipped up to her feet and the crowd was behind her. She hit off the ropes and hit a quick leg drop onto Chaney. Chaney slowly started to get to his feet and Park tried to springboard and connect with a crossbody but Chaney caught her. Chaney drove Park into the mat with a hard powerslam and got to his feet and stood over her. He grabbed her by her hair and pulled her to her feet. Chaney rocked her with another bionic elbow. Chaney toyed with Park as he slapped her around a little bit before delivering a gutwrench suplex. Park grabbed the ropes and started to pull herself up. Chaney charged but Park pulled down the ropes and he went flying over the top ropes. Park looked at Chaney on the outside of the ring and looked around as the crowd cheered.
Nick Webb: You don’t think she’s going to try anything crazy here, do you?
Rayne: I think Park is going to look to make a statement before Tainted Twilight.
Park hits the far ropes and hits a plancha on the return, taking out Chaney. The crowd eats it up as the referee starts the ten count. Park and Chaney are slow to get to their feet but she used the barricade to pull herself up and dives into the ring. Chaney is up and is able to get back into the ring at the count of eight. Park pulled Chaney to his feet and started hitting him with hard lefts and rights and then delivers a hard kick to the knee that caused Chaney to fall to one knee. Park continues with hard left and right kicks to the chest and looks for one final hard kick to head but Chaney ducked it. He popped up and kicked Park in the gut and hit the Set Up (Double Arm DDT). Chaney and Park were both down but Chaney started to stir and get to his feet. He started to lift Park up and she pushed him away. Park charged and started to lock in the Mental Breakdown (Flying Dragon). Chaney overpowered her and dropped her on her back. Both got to their feet and she came charging again but this time Chaney spun behind her and rolled her up with a school boy pin as he reached up and grabbed a rope and picked up a win as the referee didn’t see the rope grab.
WINNER: Allen Chaney, via pinfall [12:33]
After the match, Brianna can't believe she lost, and Rayne and Webb discuss what a big loss this close to her title match at Tainted Twilight is going to do to her confidence level just one week before facing X. Brianna looks unsure of herself and somewhat worried about what just happened as Havok fades to the BWF logo, then to black.
