Danger Zone - April 24, 2015
We’re treated to an opening video to the tune of “Danger Zone” by Kenny Loggins that highlighted Chris Stevens taking out Logan Havoc and Angel Kash before transitioning to the debut of Kaito Hirano and his attack of Fenryr Wulfsson that switches to the feud of Karli Frost and her battles with Rune Sigidottir. We then saw the set-up of how we got to the Zoe Cooper and Elena Simonova match and their encounter at Happenstance. Shots of the 27 Club and their emergence at Happenstance and the fight with Brianna Park and her team. The dominance of Allen Chaney is shown as a clip of him hitting Heckler Control’s and Punchline’s to various opponents. The video ends as a face off of X and Chaney is shown before switching to the arena, pyro going off for a few moments.
Nick Webb: Welcome to Danger Zone! We are live from Tampa, Florida for tonight’s action.
Rayne: The ride is over!
Nick Webb: What a night we have in store for you folks and it’s full of personal vendettas. Zoe Cooper taking on Elena Simonova. Karli Frost taking on Fenryr Wulfsson and Rune as she teams with Kaito Hirano to get her hands on Rune and Kaito is ready to get his hands on Fenryr as well. Top that all off with the 27 Club teaming with the Forgotten to take on Brianna Park, Jay Blazenwing, Sabrina Scott, and the Justicars.
Rayne: I’m excited about the main event. Allen Chaney looks to continue his dominant reign as World Champion. X is stepping up to the plate and will try to topple the champ.
The triple cage comes down, filled with all manner of weapons, ladders and what not as Chris, Logan and Angel all stare at one another. Angel seems to be contemplating just darting out of the path of the descending cage as she clearly values her looks over a title belt, but Logan telling her to "Run along, Princess, and let the men compete" seems to be enough to offend her enough to stay put. The cage lowers into place and the bell rings; this match is underway! In the first few minutes of the match, all of the action takes place on the lowest tier, as Chris, Logan and Angel batter one another with light tubes while trying to set the ladder up in order to ascend to the second tier of the cage. Angel in particular surprises the Tampa fans as she proves herself to be unexpectedly skilled at utilizing weapons to her advantage, eventually becoming the first individual to ascend to the second tier of the cage after cracking a handful of light tubes over Logan's head, busting him open.
Nick Webb: Angel Kash showing the world that she has a serious mean streak here. Winning this Insanity Cage Match would go a long way to legitimize Kash in the minds of those who root against her.
Soon, Chris makes his way up to the second tier of the cage behind Angel before she can set the second ladder up in order to make her way to the top tier of the cage and the Chaos Theory Title. Chris grabs a kendo stick and, in Icetank-like fashion, chucks it at Angel like a javelin, hitting her square in the back and stunning her. He jumps into position and powerbombs her, sending her through a tear in the roof of the first cage - where she lands on a waiting Logan's shoulders as he throws her over the top rope and to the outside of the bottom tier with a death valley driver right onto a pile of light tubes! The crowd chants "What a catch!" to the amusement of Rayne and Webb as Logan, bloody and battered, begins climbing to the second level even as Chris begins climbing up to the third level of the cage.
Rayne: What in the hell just happened!?
Nick Webb: I don't think I've ever seen that before! I'd say Angel should be grateful that Logan was there to catch her... but hell, he made it ten times worse by tossing her into that pile of light tubes!
Rayne: Her beautiful face might be scarred, Nick! I need to go check on her!
Nick Webb: Sit down, Rayne!
Logan reaches the second level of the cage and manages to reach Chris before he's made it to the top level; he grabs him by the leg and pulls him back down to the second level. They start brawling, Chris grabbing a cookie sheet and Logan grabbing a stop sign as they repeatedly batter one another with the items in the head, trying to knock one another out. Chris gets Logan closer and closer to the hole Angel fell through a few minutes before, finally going for a killshot with the cookie sheet that would send him tumbling backwards - but at the last second, Logan ducks the shot, drops the stop sign and grapples Chris, lifting him up and over his head and sending him through the hole in the roof with a release snap suplex! The crowd can't believe it, marking for the mayhem, as Chris flops off of the canvas of the ring, barely moving!
Rayne: Holy shit!
Nick Webb: Nobody there to catch Chris Stevens, unfortunately.
Rayne: This one has to be over!
Seeing both Angel and Chris stirring weakly, Logan quickly scrambles the ladder in place and climbs to the top tier of the triple cage. With blood pouring down his face, Logan reaches the top tier and wraps a hand around the Chaos Theory Title, drinking in the moment even as Angel is pulling herself into the ring and Chris is starting to climb the ladder to the second tier of the cage. He looks down, shouts to his former best friend to get his attention, and when Chris looks up, Logan flips him off with one hand before pulling down the Chaos Theory Title with the other.
WINNER AND NEW BWF CHAOS THEORY CHAMPION: Logan Havoc [18:11]
"Bad Things" by Wednesday 13 kicks into the arena as Logan Havoc leans against the wall of the top tier of the cage, blood still running down his face. He drapes the Chaos Theory Title over his shoulder, and then wipes his face with his free hand before dragging it across the Chaos Theory Title, caking it in his own blood and sweat.
Nick Webb: After nearly a year of close calls and missed opportunities, tonight, Logan Havoc can finally call himself a Champion in the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation!
Rayne: What a match! And what a kickoff for the 2015 edition of Danger Zone!
Nick Webb: And we're just getting things started! I can't wait to see how the rest of tonight plays out!
Team Meeting
The camera pans backstage, where we see Alison James preparing for tonight's huge Ten-Man Tag Team Match. She laces her boots and gives her fellow Justicar Destiny a curt nod before standing up and turning... right into a giant hug from International Champion Sabrina Scott.
Sabrina Scott: Hiiii! ♥
Alison James: Oh goodness. Destiny, why is this happening?
Destiny looks over and chuckles.
Destiny Figgins: I think you made a friend, Ali.
Alison gently pushes Sabrina away and forces a smile as the energetic ball of bubbles and fluff grins like a hyena. Alison pats her on the head gently.
Alison James: There. Sufficient?
Sabrina looks at her quizzically.
Alison James: Oh, sorry. Have to speak plebe. Have you received enough attention? Can you go now?
Sabrina leans in closer to Alison, who cringes, quietly mumbling something that sounds like "personal bubble" as Sabrina talks.
Sabrina Scott: No, silly! We're partners tonight! You and me and Destiny and Jay and Brianna! We're Team Park! The Queen's Men! Or rather The Queen's Man and Lots of Women! OR OH OH OH! PARK'S RANGERS!!!
She jumps back from Alison and does a few karate-esque moves before turning her attention back to Alison.
Alison James: Right. Okay, this was great, but Des and I have things to talk about, so -
Sabrina Scott: Hey! C'mon! We're PARTNERS! Remember? That thing I just said like ten seconds ago!? You can totes let me in on anything and I'll really keep it a secret! I promise! It'll be a TEAM MEETING! Yay!
Alison holds her head for a moment and sighs.
Alison James: Okay. Destiny and I were discussing the disadvantage we're walking into tonight and how we can possibly counter it.
Sabrina Scott: Oh?
Destiny Figgins: There's more of them then there are of us. We need a way to counter that.
Brianna Park walks up, still carrying the charred remains of her Happenstance crown.
Brianna Park: I'm up for sending as many of them out on a stretcher as we can.
Alison shakes her head.
Alison James: No. We won't win by sinking down to their level. Let me handle this.
Brianna looks Alison up and down for a moment before nodding.
Brianna Park: Alright, brainiac. You've got point on this one. Just don't wait too long to do... whatever it is you plan on doing. The match isn't that far from now.
Alison James: Fret not. The seeds were planted well before tonight. All that we require now is to do a little gardening.
Jay Blazenwing: (muffled) Wait, what does gardening have to do with our big match tonight?
All four of the women talking turn their attention to the pile of clothes in the corner that just talked. Realizing he just gave himself away, Jay Blazenwing stands up from the pile. He kicks a sock away from his boot as the women stare at him in shock.
Jay Blazenwing: What? I heard "team meeting"!
All four of the women begin to loudly protest as they grab Jay and throw him out of the women's locker room before slamming the door shut on him hard.
Jay Blazenwing: (shouting) If you didn't want me in there, don't call for a team meeting within talking distance of the guy listening in through the door with an empty glass!
He sighs.
Jay Blazenwing: I mean, c'mon. Common courtesy, right?
He shakes his head and walks off as the crowd laughs and the camera shifts back to the ring.
Tailor and Camden were up next and Tailor offered a handshake to start things off but Camden used it to just lock up with his opponent. Camden hit a reverse atomic drop and followed it up with a STO. Tailor rolled to his feet and was met with a dropkick to the knee from Camden. Tailor seemed to be in a lot of pain as he used the ropes to get to his feet. He took a few steps forward and fell to a knee and Camden used the opening to hit Damage Control (Shining Black). The referee checked on Tailor but Tailor gets to his feet and was taken right back down with a kick to the back of the knee from Camden. Camden pulled his opponent to his feet and grabbed the injured leg of Tailor and hit a dragon screw.
Rayne: Things aren’t looking good for Tailor.
Nick Webb: He really tweeked that knee early on.
Camden started to pull Tailor up again but Tailor grabbed him and rolled him up with a small package and got a two count that shocked Camden. They both got to their feet and Tailor hit a leaping DDT that spiked Camden to the mat. Tailor started to climb the turnbuckle and steadied himself before diving and looking for the Jawdropper (Elbow Drop) but Camden rolled out of the way. Both men were slow to get up and Tailor leaned on the ropes. Camden was up and Tailor looked for the Tailor Made (Sweet Chin Music) but his knee gave out and he fell to one knee. Camden drove his knee into the head of Tailor and got him set up. Camden hit the Detonator (Phoenix-Plex) and picked up the pinfall.
WINNER: Brian Camden, via pinfall [8:42]
The Princess is Here
Don McMichael stands backstage with Omen IV.
Don McMichael: I'm here with former tag champ Omen IV, a man who has a chance to receive a shot at regaining that title should he and Kristy Jackson defeat 323 and the Ultimates tonight. Now Omen, you and the 323 guys have exchanged wins in the last few weeks. What makes you think you can pull off the victory this time?
Omen IV: Well Don, I give these guys a lot of credit. They've come in and have already made a big impact. Honestly, I'd say we're about evenly matched. The only thing I can say in our favor is that the first time we met, Kristy and I weren't familiar with their ringwork. And now we know how they operate. So I guess we're a little wiser or something. And let's not overlook the Ultimates. Sure they're on a bit of a losing streak, but it only takes one match. If we're too preoccupied with the 323, they just might be able to sneak up on us and get the upset.
Don McMichael: Alright, now I understand you have decided to take on a manager. You think this person can improve your career?
Omen IV: Well you know, I've fought my share of battles. I've lived most of my life in a dangerous third-world country where drug cartels basically run shit. I've been on a boat that was blown up by Simon Kalis and trapped on an island run by Puppet Lisa. Still don't know how I escaped. In fact I have a horrible fear that I'm still there and this is just some hallucination or dying dream. Makes it hard to sleep sometimes. The pills help a little, but tolerance builds up and…
Don McMichael: Um so about your manager?
Omen IV: Yeah so anyway, my battles pale in comparison to what my manager is going through. She's ten years old and she has to face cancer head on. And she's not giving up, she's fighting back with every ounce of strength she has. She's one of the bravest people I know and I'm honored to have her in my corner. So without further ado, let me introduce to the BWF universe: Princess Ashley!
A little red-haired girl with a pink dress, tiara, and golden scepter, steps into view with her mom.
Don McMichael: Well hello there Princess Ashley, or should I say your highness. It's a pleasure to meet you.
Princess Ashley: Thank you. I'm happy to be here.
Don McMichael: So you're going to be a manager, huh? Do you think you can handle the responsibility of the position?
Princess Ashley: Yeah sure. If anyone tries to cheat my client out of victory, I wack them with my royal scepter. Easy as pie.
Don McMichael: Well it sounds like you've got it down. So I guess we'll be seeing you in the front row or something, right?
Princess Ashley: What? No, I'm gonna be in his corner helping him kick butt!
Don looks at the other adults.
Omen IV: Yes, the princess will be in my corner, as will her royal security force. Though I can't imagine her being in too much danger, seeing as I've gotten word from the Wyatts that any BWF employee that lays a finger on my manager will be immediately fired.
Don McMichael: Well I hope for the best. And this lovely lady must be the mother of our Princess; the queen. What are your thoughts about your daughter's new career?
Mother: Well, I kinda wish she'd have chosen something safer. But... I love my baby and want her to be happy.
She starts sobbing as Omen tries to comfort her.
Princess Ashley: I am happy mommy. And I'm gonna really be happy when I lead Omen to victory tonight!
Omen IV: And you will. Now let's go get ready.
They all walk off, leaving McMichael alone.
Don McMichael: Well this should be interesting. Back to you Nick and Rayne.
Hardcore Mike and Stone awaited their competition in the ring as Omen and Kristy Jackson made their way down the ramp. Before they could reach the ring they were attacked from behind by Alejandro Torres and Miguel Perez. Perez wildly threw punches at Jackson and we saw Torres whip Omen hard into the steel steps. Perez set Jackson up in a wheelbarrow and hit a wheelbarrow suplex onto the ramp as the crowd booed. Torres grabbed Omen and lifted him with ease. Torres hit Omen with a fallaway slam that sent Omen back first into the barricade. The 323 rolled into the ring and stared down the Ultimates as the referee signaled for the bell to start the match. Torres and Stone are going to start for their teams. Rayne asks if anyone has ever noticed how fat Stone is for his height and one can assume that Webb nudged his arm as he quickly quieted up. Torres charged and hit a hard clothesline on Stone. Stone rolled to his feet but was locked up with before Torres hit a gutbuster. Torres tagged out to Perez and Torres grabbed Stone and started to powerbomb him. Perez jumped off the top top and caught Stone with a neckbreaker. Perez popped up to his feet and pulled Stone up with him. Stone started to fight back before pushing off Perez to make a tag to Hardcore Mike. On the outside of the ring we saw Omen IV coming to and crawling towards the apron. Perez was hit with a forearm by Hardcore Mike before getting taken down with a backbreaker. The two men locked up after Perez got to his feet but were taken down by Omen IV diving in from the apron with a dropkick.
Nick Webb: Omen is back in this thing for his team. It looks like Kristy is starting to stir on the outside too.
Rayne: Still anyone’s match to win.
Omen IV started to land a few kicks to Hardcore Mike before turning to Perez. He jumped up and caught him with a headscissors takedown. Omen IV is on a roll as he charges Hardcore Mike waiting in the corner and caught him with a monkey flip. Perez was waiting for Omen IV to stand and caught him with the Rodeo Drive (Jumping DDT From Second Ropes) as he turned towards him. Perez made it to his corner and made the tag to Torres as Hardcore Mike made it to Stone for a tag as well. Jackson had made her way to the apron and was waiting for a tag from Omen IV. Torres charged into the ring and hit Stone with a running big boot that send him into the corner. He charged him and hit a big running splash to Stone before pulling him to the center of the ring. Torres grabbed Stone and hit the Gravedigger (Uranage [Bray Wyatt]). Omen IV caught Torres with a wheel kick to the face and then rolled to his feet and tagged in Jackson. Jackson came diving in with the Suicide Dive (Swanton Bomb) and connected on Stone. She hooked a leg as Omen IV dropkicked Perez off the apron and speared Hardcore Mike as he entered the ring. Jackson picked up the three count fall before Torres could break it up.
WINNERS: Kristy Jackson and Omen IV, via pinfall [11:15]
Torres grabbed Jackson and tossed her into the corner and hit a charging splash. Omen IV tried to fight off Torres and hit an uppercut before rolling out of the ring and pulling Jackson out under the bottom rope. The 323 watch on as Jackson and Omen IV celebrate up the ramp with Princess Ashley.
Johnny Maverick stood in the ring throwing air punches and kicks to stretch as Kurt Hullum entered the ring. The bell sounded as Maverick and Hullum quickly locked up as Hullum tired to keep him close to avoid those hard strikes. Maverick was able to land a few close forearms to Hullum before Hullum ducked under the arm of Maverick and hit a neckbreaker. Both men rolled to their feet and Maverick rocked Hullum with a hard kick to the thigh before landing a hard elbow to the jaw. Hullum quickly locked back up with Maverick and drove a knee into his gut. Hullum hit a European uppercut before flowing into a scoop slam. Hullum delivered an elbow across the chest of Maverick and pulled him back to his feet. Hullum hit another uppercut and set up for a suplex. Maverick countered into a suplex of his own. Maverick got on a roll as he landed a few mounted punches before rolling into an armlock. Hullum struggled to get free or reach the ropes but refused to submit to Maverick’s hold. Maverick released the hold and rolled Hullum into a sleeper hold. Hullum got his feet under him and was able to stand and turn his body. He lifted Maverick and hit him with a backdrop.
Nick Webb: Kurt is trying to stay in it here and so far things have been pretty even.
Rayne: Johnny is slowing things down a bit more tonight and looking to wear down Kurt.
Hullum rose to his feet and Maverick was soon up to his. Hullum landed a kick to the gut and looked to connect with the Crash Landing (Snapmare Driver) but Maverick pushed him off and into the ropes. Hullum came back at Maverick and ducked a clothesline and hit the ropes again. Hullum looked for a clothesline of his own but Maverick ducked it. Hullum hit the ropes once again and was rocked but Maverick jumping at him with the OF!MF! (Running Shotei). Maverick pulled Hullum to his feet and started to position him for a German suplex but Hullum reached back with a few hard elbows. He spun around behind Maverick and looked for the California Dreaming (Omega Driver) but as he lifted Maverick he was able to flip behind him. Maverick landed a big German suplex on Hullum before pulling him to his feet. Maverick pulled him to the center of the ring and hit another German suplex. They rolled to their feet again and Maverick finished off the Maverick Special (Two Germans, Bridging Dragon Suplex). Maverick bridged but only picked up a two count as Hullum kicked out at the last moment. Both men got to their feet and Maverick looked for the Tony Jaa (Muay Thai Jumping Knee) but Hullum rolled and dodged. He popped to his feet and caught Maverick with an elbow to the jaw. Hullum grabbed Maverick and connected with the Kurtain Kall (Hangman’s Neckbreaker) before hooking the leg for the win.
WINNER: Kurt Hullum, via pinfall [10:42]
Year of the Comedian
In the backstage area we were joined by Don McMichael and the BWF World Champion Allen Chaney as he took a moment away from getting ready for his match. Don asked Allen if he was ready for his match. Allen laughed him off and said yes. “2015 is the year of the comedian and it all kicked off when I retired AJ Adams from wrestling. That moment was the set-up and beating guys like Gabe Shelley and Dave Slayton was the punchline. Tonight, X becomes another to fall and finally understand the joke. I pinned him last week and I’ll do it again this week.” Chaney looked at Don and shouldered past him to go get ready for his match we we went back to ringside.
Nick Webb reminded fans of the rules regarding the “End of the Line” match while Webb commented that Karli must be very upset to put her career on the line against a pair that she had not fared well against in singles competition. Webb reminded Rayne that Kaito was obviously unafraid of Fenryr and would certainly not be backing down from the Sovereign Champion since he still had a score to settle.
The competitors have all made their way to the ring and the bell sounds to start the match. The match begins with Fenryr starting for his team and Karli starting off on her side. Fenryr discusses strategy for a moment with Rune when Karli runs towards them. Fenryr barely dodges out of the way but Karli catches Rune with an elbow to the face and sends her to the floor. Fenryr turns around into a dropkick from Karli which sends him towards the neutral corner. When Karli gets to her feet though, Fenryr grabs her head in his hand before shoving her across the ring to her corner, where she tags in Kaito. Rune slowly climbs back up to the corner as Kaito and Fenryr tie up in the center of the ring. Fenryr tries to whip him to the ropes but Kaito reverses, landing a spinning heel kick on Fenryr's return trip. Fenryr is staggered and Kaito hits the ropes and returns with a running Frankensteiner. Fenryr lands close to the ropes and slides out onto the floor. There he shakes the cobwebs loose as Rune screams at him from their corner. Fenryr climbs back up the apron and into the ring. Kaito waits until he is back in and they lock up again. Fenryr pulls him to the ropes, and Kaito tags Karli before Fenryr sends him to the opposite side of the ring. Fenryr runs forward as Kaito returns, connecting with a shoulder block and putting Kaito onto the mat. Karli is the legal competitor, and she has climbed up to the top rope and connects with an AMRAAM as Fenryr stands over the downed Kaito. Fenryr falls into his corner and Kaito is quick to his feet to stand with Karli in the center of the ring. Fenryr tags in Rune. She looks a little upset for a moment, and Fenryr can be heard saying something that sounds like “I'm not wrestling her” as he takes his position in the corner. Kaito returns to his corner.
Nick Webb: Sounds like Fenryr doesn't want anything to do with Karli tonight.
Rayne: He's an idiot. It's always better to beat up on weaker people.
Nick Webb: It's just strange, what with his lack of enthusiasm for her torment. He's usually so...mean to people. For the record I don't share that sentiment, in case Fenryr watches this match later. And stop trying to tell kids that bullying is okay, Rayne.
Karli and Rune perform as typical of late with the two moving to tie up in the center of the ring. Karli quickly gains the upper hand, lifting Rune up and over with a fireman's carry slam. She holds on, holding Rune down on her back with a reverse facelock on the mat. She pulls her legs forward before standing and pulling Rune with her to hit a reverse DDT. Karli goes for the pin and barely gets a two count before Rune kicks out. Karli keeps calm and hits a dragon suplex when Rune gets back to her feet. Karli is up almost immediately, and she stalks the slower Rune. When Rune gets to her feet, Karli hooks her up with a T-bone suplex and Rune is laid out. Karli goes for the cover but Rune kicks out at two again. The frustration begins to show on Karli's face as she lifts Rune to her feet again but Rune pushes her back towards Fenryr. She gets close enough to the corner so that he can grab her by the hair and pull her back over the top rope before smashing her across the chest with his forearm. She goes to a knee and he kicks her in the side of the head. Karli leans on the ropes as Rune runs forward and knees her in the face. Rune pulls Karli to her feet and tags Fenryr before climbing up to the second turnbuckle and using The Nine Days (Hangman's choke from second turnbuckle) on Karli. Rune uses every bit of the referee's count before breaking the move, and Karli falls into a spinebuster by Fenryr. Rune tagged herself in halfway through the move and Fenryr moves out of the way just in time for Rune to land a diving elbow drop on Karli. She stands, tags Fenryr in again who lifts Karli into a delayed double underhook suplex position as Rune bounces off of the ropes and dropkicks her in the abdomen as Fenryr slams her to the mat. Rune argues with the referee for a moment before leaving the ring. Fenryr turns his attention to Kaito and can be heard saying that he's about to put Karli through the announcer's table too, and Kaito charges into the ring. The referee moves to block him, trying to get him out, when Rune climbs in and starts choking Karli. Fenryr moves back to his corner, claps his hands once, and exits the ring. Rune uses all of the referee's count to break the hold, but she had a big headstart and it shows in how feebly Karli seems to be moving around and struggling to move towards her corner. Rune stands over Karli, smiling at her.
Nick Webb: To say Karli has hit a brick wall here would be an understatement.
Rayne: Yeah. She hit it and it fell on her.
For several minutes Rune and Fenryr dominate the match with quick tags and keeping Karli in their corner. This continues until Rune goes for a suplex but Karli digs deep and reverses it into a lungblower. Both are down, but Karli is closer to her corner and makes the tag to an eager Kaito. He charges into the ring, connecting with a Standing Star Press on Rune. He is on his feet in a hurry, and charges at Fenryr who is standing on the apron. He leaps over the top rope and hits a Tilt-a-whirl headscissors takedown on Fenryr, landing on the floor and sending Fenryr back first into the guard rail. The referee is counting Kaito out, and in this distraction Karli has climbed to the top rope, landing a Tomkitty (Long-range Diving Frog Splash Double Elbow Drop) on Rune. Rune is down in the center of the ring. Kaito makes it back into the ring as Fenryr is slow to his feet. He runs across the ring, jumps over Rune, and springboards off of the second rope with a moonsault. He goes for the cover, and gets a two count before Fenryr breaks up the pin with a Maul (double axe handle) attack. He then picks up Kaito and runs him across the ring, throwing him over the top rope. Karli runs up behind Fenryr and jumps onto him from behind, straddling his waist. She springboards off of the second rope, driving the back of Fenryr's skull into the mat with a reverse sitout facebuster. Fenryr and Karli both exit the ring as Kaito climbs back in. He starts to pull Rune to her feet but she attacks with a low blow, sending Kaito to the mat. Rune slowly crawls towards Fenryr and makes the tag. Fenryr gets in and starts to stomp on Kaito. He throws him back into the corner where Rune wraps an arm around his neck, choking him. Fenryr throws a few kicks before T-boning him out of the corner. Rune lands a double stomp from the top rope and pulls Kaito to the center of the ring. Fenryr hits a Hel Road (Double Underhook Powerbomb) on Kaito. The crowd gets quiet in anticiapation that this might be the end of Karli's career, but strangely Fenryr rolls out of the ring. Rune is legal, but she just stands next to Kaito and doesn't go for the pin. Fenryr has grabbed a chair from the audience and threatens to enter the ring with it and is being admonished by the referee. Karli goes back to the top rope, and Rune appears oblivious. Fenryr, outside, throws the chair to the side before diving under the bottom rope back into the ring. Rune charges and attacks the referee with a forearm smash to the back of the head, knocking him down. Karli jumps from the top rope, landing a Phoenix Splash on Kaito.
Nick Webb: What the hell?
Rayne: Holy Shit!
Fenryr throws the referee over the top rope. The bell rings, signalling the disqualification.
WINNERS: Karli Frost and Kaito Hirano, via disqualification [19:41]
For a split second, the only thing that can be heard in the arena is Rune's insane, maniacal laughter. Then the audience goes nuts with the booing and making their displeasure known. Karli looks at Fenryr and nods to the corner. Fenryr lifts Kaito up and sets him on the top rope, and Karli follows, nailing the Last Call (second rope double underhook facebuster). Rune has stopped laughing and when Karli stands up, Rune drags Kaito to his feet, locks him in an inverted facelock, and strikes with the Heartbreaker (reverse facelock hammerfist Heartpunch).
Nick Webb: Oh my god! She could have killed him! Get...someone out here and stop this!
Fenryr stomps on his limp body for a moment before the three of them entangle him in the ropes so that he is hanging there, upside down and immobilized. The fans are positively livid as Karli hugs Rune and then Fenryr. They talk amongst themselves for a moment.
Nick Webb: This is...sick! What in the world has happened here?
Rayne: I don't know, Webb, but I'll tell you this. The way Karli's hair kind of hangs over her face like that is sexy as hell.
Nick Webb: Are you even watching? Can you focus on something else instead of that Jezebel's hair?
Rayne: Her hips, then? Sure.
Rune Sigidottir: Look. I have all of the answers you're looking for if you would all just shut your stupid mouths for a few seconds.
The crowd gets only slightly quieter, and Rune holds the microphone as if she's about to say something, but then drops the microphone as the Ragnarok theme plays over the sound system, a loud, cinematic epic war horn sound effect followed by Amon Amarth's “Tattered Banners And Bloody Flags”. The three depart the ring, Rune first followed by Fenryr and Karli, and make their way to the back, leaving Kaito entangled in the ropes as trainers rush out to check on him.
Wrong Place, Wrong Time
The cameras switch to the backstage area where we see AJ Steel sitting on a trainers table getting checked out by one of the EMTs after suffering a loss on Breakthrough. They’re focused on his right knee as people walk around the backstage area working the event and moving a few items around. Perez and Torres of the 323 begin to walk by and Steel makes a comment.
AJ Steel: Losing sucks, huh?
Perez stops in his tracks and looks at Steel for just a few moments. Torres taps Perez on the shoulder and Perez is all over Steel and tackles him over the table. They crash on the floor and Perez starts to beat on Steel. He pulls Steel up and bounces his head off a crate used to carry equipment and Steel is busted open. Torres grabs Steel and drives him through a table with the Gravedigger (Uranage). Perez stands over Steel and kicks him with the end of his boot a few times.
Miguel Perez: Cállate la boca. Shut your mouth, esé.
The 323 walk away as trainers check on Steel.
Zoe Cooper stood in the ring and watched as Elena Simonova made her way to the ring. Elena was halfway down the ramp and Zoe slid out of the ring and charged at her and the two ladies started to brawl. They exchanged back and forth blows before Zoe tackled Elena to the ramp and started to throw more wild punches. Elena rolled Zoe over and started to bash her head against the ramp. Elena got to her feet and pulled Zoe up and led her to the ring before rolling her in under the ropes. Elena followed after her and the bell finally sounded to start things off. Zoe rolled to her feet and speared Elena into the corner and started to throw punches. Rayne made mention that things had boiled down to a fight between the two because Zoe wanted to tear Elena apart. Zoe speared her shoulder into the gut of Elena and pulled her to the center of the ring and hit a suplex. Zoe pulled Elena right back up and hit a scoop slam quickly. She kept the assault up and pulled Elena back to her feet and looked for another suplex but Elena floated behind Zoe and hit a backdrop. Elena pulled Zoe back to her feet and whipped her into the corner. Elena charged and hit the 200 Proof (Lifting Corner Knee to Money Flip). Elena hooked a leg for a cover but only got two.
Nick Webb: Elena knows Zoe SO well as these two were once tag team champions.
Rayne: I think that’s why Zoe has tried to rely more on striking because Elena knows all of her moves.
Zoe got to her feet and caught Elena with the Roundabout (Spinning Heel Kick) right in the jaw. Zoe tried to cover but only picked up a two count. Elena and Zoe both got to their feet and started to exchange blows again before Elena hit a kick to the gut. She followed it with a bridging northern lights suplex that got a two count on Zoe. Zoe got to her feet and caught Elena with a forearm smash. Elena hit the ropes and came back with a hard running double axe handle. She looked to follow it with the rest of Hammer and Sickle (Double Axe Handle and Buzzsaw Kick) but Zoe rolled away. She popped to her feet and hit the Revolutions Per Minute (Rolling Dodge into Spear). Both competitors were slow to move and get to their feet but Zoe was up and leaning on the ropes. Zoe hit Elena with a second spear as she stood and popped back to her feet. She climbed the turnbuckle and measured up Elena. Elena got to her feet and turned towards Zoe and was hit with the Pounce (Flying Bodypress) but Elena used the momentum to roll an extra time and hooked the leg of Zoe. Elena surprised Zoe with a pin attempt but only got two as Zoe kicked out at the last moment.
Nick Webb: Zoe went high-risk and it almost backfired on her, Rayne!
Rayne: She’s trying to pull out all the stops but Elena continues to stay one step ahead of her.
Elena quickly climbed the turnbuckle and waited for Zoe to stand. Elena dove and connected with the KGB (Dragonrana) but didn’t go for the pin attempt. Instead she told Zoe to get to her feet and pulled her by her hair. Elena set up for the Vodka Tonic (Canadian Destroyer) but Zoe lifted Elena up and over her shoulders. Elena got up and took a kick to the gut from Zoe. Zoe grabbed Elena and hit Elena’s own Reverse Psychology (C4) and dove into a pin to pick up the win.
WINNER: Zoe Cooper, via pinfall [13:24]
Nick Webb: Zoe just beat Elena with her own move!
Zoe rolled out of the ring and fell to the barricade and just smiled as Elena looked out of the ring at her.
April Fool, Part Two
Rune, Fenryr, and Karli walk through the back, apparently in good spirits, when suddenly Will's voice can be heard. The three stop and turn around. Will is walking up behind them, a look of concern on his face.
Will Irwin: Karli! Karli! What the hell are you doing? You're just going to turn your back on everyone that has supported you? Your fans? Me? You're signing on with these two? Karli, don't do this. Please!
Karli Frost: Don't do this? Don't do it?
She gets right into Will's face.
Karli Frost: It's done. And so are we. I know what you did when I was in the hospital with my injury, Will! I don't ever want to see or hear from you again!
Karli turns to walk away, but Will grabs her shoulder. Rune punches him in the side of the face before grabbing his arm. Fenryr grabs him from the other side and the two force him against the wall. Karli gets right in his face again.
Karli Frost: Don't ever touch me again, Will. I know you met with another woman when I was hurt.
Karli begins screaming at Will furiously.
Karli Frost: I trusted you! You betrayed me! You could have visited with me, but you didn't. You chose cheap thrills with some skanky Craigslist slut over me! I was hurt, you piece of shit!
She slaps him once, lets it sink in, and then slaps him three more times. Will looks like he doesn't know what the hell she's talking about. She stares him down for a moment before laughing at him.
Karli Frost: You...you don't even have the sense to try and deny it. You're worthless and pathetic, and I'm finished with you.
She kicks Will in the groin then, and Rune and Fenryr release him. They start kicking him while he's down, asking him "You gonna leave her alone" as they do so. After a few moments he squeaks out a "Yes" and they stop beating him.
Karli Frost: Next time won't be so pleasurable, Will. For you, at least. Don't call me, don't stop by, don't post on any of my social media, and don't ever speak to me again. I don't even want to hear from you about work.
Karli stands on Will's hand, grinding his fingers into the concrete.
Karli Frost: Leave. Me. Alone.
The three walk away from the scene, leaving Will struggling to his feet behind them.
Evening The Odds
After 27 Club and The Forgotten head to the ring, Team Park makes their entrance as a unit to "I Am The Best" by 2NE1. The team stops on the stage as the theme fades out. Brianna pulls out a microphone and hands it to the Justicars' Alison James.
Alison James: Thank you, Brianna. Now, as the resident math expert here in BWF, I can't help but notice that the numbers going into this match are a little... uneven. See, Team Beefsquatch doesn't have five members. They have eight.
The camera pans across Ellis Straker, Ramona Holiday and Nael on the outside of the ring.
Alison James: Since Happenstance, these two groups, 27 Club and The Forgotten, have been coming out on top through sheer numbers. So, I've taken it upon myself to rectify that situation. Luckily for my teammates, I am always thinking a step ahead. As such, I made a promise to my partners tonight that I would find a solution to this conundrum -
Alison motions to her partners standing to her side on the stage; Brianna Park, Jay Blazenwing, Sabrina Scott and Destiny Figgins.
Alison James: - and I have done just that. Understand that this is not simply a match; this is a war. When you go to war against a foe that isn't afraid of fighting dirty, you need more than just friends on your side. You need family. More than that... you need blood.
Nick Webb: Do you think she means...?
Indeed, the crowd pops loudly as Alison unbuttons her flannel overshirt, revealing a Bound by Blood t-shirt.
Rayne: No way! I can't believe it!
The crowd gets louder as "Scandalous" by Mis-Teeq hits the BlazenTron and former BWF C.E.O. Jen Corlen, in addition to Alison's older sisters Sarah "Kirlia Gardevoir" James and Katie "Starla Gardevoir" James, all walk out onto the stage, wearing matching Bound by Blood t-shirts and carrying matching black and red baseball bats.
Nick Webb: Bound by Blood was a team formed years ago in the AoWF between the three James sisters, Jen and Emily Corlen. The quintet saw the destruction of names like Matthew Engel, Jethro Hayes, Matt Stone and more!
Rayne: Plus, let's not forget that they held the PWA Tag Team, Grizzly Beer and World Titles as a unit at different points!
Team Park, now sufficiently hyped for this match (and flanked by Bound by Blood), charge the ring as a unit and a giant brawl breaks out on the outside as the match gets underway.
Things got out of hand early as all ten competitors were in the ring throwing punches at each other in what looked more like a ten man battle royal than a tag match. The referee tried to get control of things but was lost in the shuffle. Biafra could be seen rocking Figgins with the Instant Karma (Rebound Lariat) after getting pushed into the ropes. James came flying off the top ropes and took out a handful of people; including Static Age but also Blazenwing and Dagger. The ring started to clear and Karloff clotheslined Scott over the top ropes to the floor below. Park caught Karloff with a front dropkick and kipped up to her feet. Park looked out of the ring and saw Biafra and Morgan fighting with Figgins and Blazenwing. Park hit the far ropes and came diving over the top and took out all four competitors. The ring had been cleared of all competitors and eventually Scott rolled back into the ring. Dagger was next in the ring and the match started to resemble a match. Dagger and Scott exchanged a few forearms before Dagger hit a DDT. She crawled onto Scott and into the Feed Your Head (Series of mounted headbutts). Dagger staggered to her feet and tagged in Scene. Scene grabbed Scott and hit a perfectly executed exploder suplex. Scott rolled to her corner and tagged to Blazenwing. Blazenwing ducked an incoming clothesline from Scene and lifted her for a suplex but stalled her in the air before turning into a falling neckbreaker. Blazenwing pulled Scene up but was hit with a jawbreaker. Scene popped up and hit a headscissors and looked for the Go to Hell (Headscissors rolled into shining wizard) but Blazenwing rolled out of the way. He popped up and hit the Blazenwing (Running Discus Elbow).
Nick Webb: The action has been fast and furious tonight in this match. There’s a lot of tension between a lot of these competitors.
Rayne: Tension? More like hatred.
Blazenwing made the tag to Figgins and she jumped into the ring. She charged at Scene as she started to stand and looked for the Tony Jaa (Flying Knee Strike) but Scene dodged and tagged to Karloff. Karloff entered the ring and was hit with a few quick kicks from Figgins. Figgins looked to springboard off the ropes and she hit a crossbody on Karloff. Both got to their feet and Figgins looked for a running forearm but Karloff ducked and hit the Sine Oculus (Pele Kick). Karloff tagged out to Morgan as Figgins crawled to her corner and made a tag to Scott. Scott came jumping into the ring and hit Morgan with the Seeing Stars (Springboard Colliding Headbutt) and both were staggered. Scott jumped up at Morgan and brought him down with a small package. Morgan kicked out at two and rolled to his feet and rocked Scott with the Hybrid Moment (Boma Ye Knee). Morgan tried to cover Scott but it was broken up at two by James. James grabbed Morgan and hit the Bleeding Rose (Sliced Bread #2) and rolled out of the ring. Both Morgan and Scott crawled to their corners and made tags to Biafra and Park as the crowd popped. The two went back and forth with hard shots, lefts and rights being exchanged.
Nick Webb: There’s the hatred you were talking about Rayne. I think it’s safe to say that Park hates Biafra for a lot of things.
Rayne: That’s what we like to see!
Biafra hit a hard elbow to the side of the head of Park and then rocked her with the Quickiller (Spinning Backfist). Park tripped backwards and fell into a neutral corner. Biafra charged and Park spun through the ropes and kicked Biafra in the head. She climbed the turnbuckle and hit a diving crossbody on Biafra. They both rolled to their feet and Biafra hit Park with a kick to the gut and hit the Full Moon Special (Jumping Package Piledriver). He went for a pin attempt but Scott was in the ring to break it up. Scott pulled Biafra up and took him right back down with a step up enziguri. Scene jumped into the ring to attack Scott and things got out of hand quickly. Morgan joined Scene and that called for the Justicars of Illium to jump in to help Scott. Blazenwing wasn’t far behind and they brawled through the ropes and onto the floor. Biafra started to go for his corner for a tag to Karloff but Nael snapped her fingers and Karloff and Dagger jumped off the apron. Nael and the Forgotten start to head up the ramp as Biafra fumed. He called Nael a “rotten bitch” as he got to his feet. Biafra turned and was hit with the Seoul Food (Eat Defeat) by Park. Park dove into a cover and picked up the win for her team.
WINNER: Team Park, via pinfall [17:32]
Nick Webb: Nael and the Forgotten just screwed Biafra and the rest of the 27 Club.
Rayne: I don’t think she cares. It’s all about sending messages with Nael and this was a big one. Although I wouldn’t want to be on the bad side of the 27 Club. Biafra doesn’t seem like a person I would want to piss off.

Live from Dallas, Texas
X watched Chaney slowly make his way to the ring and neither man seemed intimidated in the slightest. Chaney entered the ring and handed the title off to the referee as Scott Benjamin introduced the match and competitors. Before he could finish X and Chaney started to trash talk each other and came to blows. The referee rang the bell to start the match as the fans cheered on X. Chaney hit a series of bionic elbows and a hip toss on X. X rolled to his feet and ducked a clothesline before hitting a backdrop. Chaney popped up and caught X as he charged and hit a spinebuster. The two started to brawl on the mat and Chaney hit hard rights as X put his arms up to block. Chaney pulled X to his feet and looked for a suplex but X hooked his leg on Chaney and pushed him away. X went to run off the ropes but was taken up and over the top as Chaney clotheslined him and went over with him. They both fell to the floor and the crowd ate it up. Chaney was up first and grabbed X and pulled him to his feet. Chaney lifted X up for a suplex and dropped him gut first into the barricade. Chaney took a few steps back and charged, driving a knee into the head of X.
Nick Webb: Chaney and X has been a brawl so far and that doesn’t bode well for X. Chaney is a man that loves to brawl.
Rayne: Tonight is about hatred! These two don’t like each other either. This makes for great TV.
X fell to the floor and started to climb to his feet. Chaney pulled him up and tried to send him into the steel post on the outside but X reversed it and Chaney’s head bounced off the post. Chaney stumbled around as the referee began a ten count and was at six. X rolled in the ring and right back out to restart the counting. X whipped Chaney into the apron as Chaney’s back hit hard. X grabbed him and hit a spinning spinebuster on the floor. X took his time and pulled Chaney to his feet and rolled him into the ring. X followed and covered but only got a one count on the pinfall attempt. Chaney got to his feet and hit X with a hard left jab that was followed by a bionic elbow. Chaney locked up with X and was able to connect with a gutwrench suplex. Chaney started to grab X and pull him to his feet and X tried to fight back. Chaney drove his knee into the gut of X and followed it up with a gutwrench powerbomb. X hit the mat and Chaney ran off the ropes and hit a jumping senton across the gut of X. Chaney rolled to his feet and then hit the ropes, coming back with another jumping senton.
Nick Webb: I think X is having trouble breathing.
Rayne: After the beating he’s taken to the midsection he might have a few broken ribs.
Chaney pulled X to his feet and sent him hard into the corner. Chaney charged and hit a hard spear to the gut. X staggered out of the corner and Chaney looked for a clothesline but X ducked. X grabbed Chaney from behind and hit a belly to back full nelson drop. He looked for a cover as he hooked a leg and got two. Chaney rolled to his feet kicked X in the gut before hitting him with a suplex driver. Chaney rolled onto X to cover but X kicked out at two. Both men started to get to their feet and X hit a hard right hand. Chaney came back with one of his own. X hit a hard headbutt to Chaney. X followed it with two quick right hands before ducking a left from Chaney. X spun Chaney around and hit a kick to the gut and tried to lock in a butterfly lock but Chaney fought back and lifted X up and over his shoulders. X rolled to his feet and ducked a clothesline from Chaney but Chaney connected with the referee and it sent him hard to the mat and out of the ring as he rolled.
Rayne: Ref down! Drink!
Chaney turned and kicked X in the gut and connected with the Set-Up (Double Arm DDT) as the fans booed. Chaney was fired up and started to pull X to his feet and X drove his knee into the gut of Chaney. X locked in the Straight Jacket (Half Nelson, Half Chicken Wing) but there was no referee to see if Chaney wanted to tap. Chaney started to fade but pushed off his feet and drove X back first into a turnbuckle and he gasped for air. Chaney drove him into the corner again and broke the hold. Chaney hit a desperation Punchline (Package Piledriver) to X and both men were down.
Nick Webb: Get a referee out here!
The fans buzzed and waited for something to happen and exploded in cheers as someone came running from the back. The cameras swung to the ramp and AJ Adams was in the arena! He slid into the ring as the fans were cheering.
Nick Webb: That’s AJ Adams!
Rayne: What is he doing!? I thought he was dead!
Adams was fired up as he stomped his feet and pumped his arms, begging Chaney to get up. Chaney crawled to his knees before Adams grabbed him and set him up, yelling something at him, and then hit the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail). Adams popped up and kept throwing his arms up to get the fans going. He grabbed X by the arm and pulled him onto Chaney and rolled out of the ring, smacking the referee in the face before rolling him into the ring. The crowd counted along as X picked up the three count.
WINNER AND NEW BWF WORLD CHAMPION: X, via pinfall [20:31]
X started to come to and get to his feet as the referee handed him the championship.
Rayne: AJ JUST SCREWED ALLEN!
Nick Webb: And X is now a three time BWF World Champion! He’s the fifth person to do so, but maybe the first in BWF history to win the title after such a long drought! Over eleven years between his last reign as BWF World Champion and now! I can't believe my eyes!
X threw the title over his shoulder and smiled as he rolled out of the ring and celebrated. Adams watched as Chaney started to come to and began to realize what happened. Adams grinned as they looked at each other and jumped into the crowd and was gone moments later. X fell to his knees on the ramp and held the BWF World Title high as his music played.
Nick Webb: Thank you for tuning in to Danger Zone! What will the fallout be next week on Havok!
Rayne: AJ Adams better keep running because Allen is going to murder him, that’s what.
We get one last shot of X on the ramp before we go to black, logo, and black.

X rolled to his feet and ducked a clothesline from Chaney but Chaney connected with the referee and it sent him hard to the mat and out of the ring as he rolled.
