Happenstance - March 27, 2015
Nick Webb: Welcome ladies and gentlemen! We’re live and coming to you from the Staples Center in Los Angeles! Tonight we crown the 9th Happenstance Monarch as we’re down to just two. Van Biafra and Brianna Park will compete to be crowned the winner and earn a shot at the BWF World Championship.
Rayne: Along with a fancy crown and throne! Just look at that throne at the top of the stage, just ready for one of them.
Nick Webb: That’s just the beginning, Rayne. Tonight we will see a Tag Team Championship bout between two teams that really seem to dislike each other. We have Zoe Cooper looking to get back on the winning side, Sabrina Scott trying to make the third time a charm, and the main event pits Allen Chaney against both Elena Simonova and Gabe Shelley in a triple threat battle for the BWF World Championship!
Rayne: And X is back!
Nick Webb: Plus the EWS World Triple Crown Title is up for grabs as we’ll see the current champion, DJ Cassidy, defend against BWF’s own Johnny Maverick.
Rayne: Come on, Johnny!
Nick Webb: First things first however we have a match that’s full of hate for each other as Rune Sigidottir and Karli Frost square off.
Rayne: Karli lit Rune’s dry cleaning on fire! There’s no coming back from burning a woman’s dress.
The fans began cheering as “Toxic” by Britney Spears began playing over the loudspeakers as Karli Frost cheerfully made her way to the stage to the delight of the fans. She played to each side once she entered the ring to loud cheers. The noise in the arena falls to tolerable levels before Rune begins her entrance. Compared to Karli's high intensity, well choreographed sequence, there is nothing special about Rune's entrance. Just the song Scarborough Fair by Nox Arcana and a simple black and white image on the Blazentron of a raven sitting on the post of a barbed wire fence. Superimposed over the image is the word “RUNE”. Only the first and fourth verses of the song play.
Are you going to Scarborough Fair?
Yesterday holds memories in time —
Remember me to the one who lives there
She once was a true love of mine —
Tell her to come to the old willow tree
Yesterday holds memories in time —
Where spirits of lost love yet whisper to thee
Thou art still a true love of mine —
The match started typically for these two. Rune showed little respect for her opponent while Karli wore a mask of determination. The two tied up in the center of the ring and Karli overpowers Rune and backed her into a corner. Karli backed away and Rune launched a brutal front kick into Karli's abdomen. Rune throws a pair of withering European uppercuts into Karli's face, driving her to the ropes. She whipped her to the other side, lifting her up and dropping her across the top rope on the return trip. Karli held her neck on the mat while Rune blows off the referee's admonition. Rune lifted Karli by the hair and slammed her into the turnbuckle before rolling her up for the pin but only getting two.
Nick Webb:: Rune going for a quick pin there, but Karli's not going down that easy.
Rayne:: Bummer. Oh, that's true, Webb. Karli has shown that she does have spirit lately.
Rune said something about counting faster and sticks her finger in the official's face before returning her attention to Karli, who has risen to her knees. Rune dropkicks her in the back, sending her face first to the mat again. Rune lifted Karli to her feet and scoop slammed her before climbing to the top rope. She launched an aerial attack of her own, driving her knee into Karli's forehead. She rolled to her feet quickly, unleashing a buzzsaw kick, also to Karli's head. Karli's down, and Rune covers and Karli kicks out at two and a half. Rune looked up at the ref, shock on her face as she held up three fingers. Rune shook her head as she stood, throwing Karli out of the ring. She hits the floor hard and Rune climbs out after her. The referee begins to count. Rune begins a brutal “around the world” outside of the ring assault, slamming Karli into the ring post, the steps, a guard barrier, and finally, performing Fenryr's move, the Gravedigger (Full Nelson legsweep faceplant), in front of the announcer's table. She turns her attention to Webb, grabbing his jacket and drawing her fist back.
Rune: You gonna say something about this cheating, slow counting referee?
Nick Webb:: Alright, the referee is cheating and counting slow!
Rayne:: Change of heart, Webb?
Nick Webb:: A temporary one.
Rune rolled Karli into the ring and followed when the official reaches a count of nine and pulls a mostly limp Karli to her feet. Karli, out of desperation, grabbed Rune by the hair and executes a front jawbreaker on her. Karli stepped up and connected with a neckbreaker, dropping Rune. Karli climbed to the top rope and steadied herself. She raises both hands and holds for a moment before trying for the You’re Drunk (Corkscrew 630 Senton). She immediately hooks the leg and the referee count the three count.
WINNER: Karli Frost, via pinfall 14:22
Nick Webb:: Yes! Yes! Karli's beaten her!
Rayne:: No! I'm down a thousand bucks!
Karli springs up, celebrating. The auditorium joined in as her music begins to play. When the lights come on, though, Jenni Flynt is running to the ring. She dives under the ropes and talks to the referee. The music stops. She points back at Rune, hits her hands together twice, holds up two fingers, and the presiding referee nods. Karli returns to the pair, where all are shown that Rune managed to get her leg under the ropes, which should have broken the count.
Nick Webb:: Fans, it appears that the count should have been broken, but wasn't.
Rayne:: Yes! I just got my thousand dollars back!
Rune begins to stir as the referee calls for the bell to restart the match. Jenni moves back towards the ramp but stays behind to watch. Karli takes Rune, lifts her to her feet, and smashes her head into the turnbuckle a few times before suplexing her out of the corner. She climbs the corner again, but when she reaches the top, Rune gets to her feet and bounces off of the ropes, falling back towards the center of the ring. Karli is knocked off balance and she falls to the apron and then to the floor. She rolls twice and comes to a stop. Rune and Karli stand at about the same time, each slow to get to their feet. Karli tries to climb up, but when she gets onto the apron, Rune runs forward and knees her in the midsection, grabbing her hair. She applies a front face lock, and lifts Karli up to suplex her back into the ring. Karli kicks her legs during the lift, and Rune staggers back a step and is forced to set Karli down. Karli lands with both feet on the second rope. She springs off and up, wrapping Rune’s head and twisting her body slightly in midair to nail the Hookup (Flying Neck Breaker). Both are down and the referee starts to count. Karli stirs first, laying her upper body across Rune’s and the ref drops and counts the three count pin.
WINNER: Karli Frost, via pinfall 18:36
The lights come on and Karli's music begins again. Karli leans against the turnbuckle for a moment, then stands, holding her arms up as the fans loudly cheer for Karli's first victory over the Shewolf. Jenni Flynt is shown at the ramp. She smiles, then nods slightly at Karli before returning to the back.
Nick Webb:: She's done it! Again!
Rayne:: Again? She didn't do it the first time!
Nick Webb:: You're just bitter because you're poorer than you were three seconds ago.
Rayne:: It's a valid reason to be bitter. The referee should have been counting faster, now that I think about it. Rune was right.
The fans were eager for the next match-up as tension between the two teams was high. Rayne and Webb ran down how we got to this point which highlighted Omen IV and Kristy Jackson pinning Static Age back at Hearts on Fire. Then how the Justicars of Illium defeated Omen and Jackson before Static Age beat Omen and Jackson to become the number one contenders. Figgins and Morgan were going to start the match for their respective teams as everyone was introduced and the titles were held high. The bell sounded and we were off. Morgan and Figgins were quick to exchange blows before locking up. Morgan locks in a hammerlock on Figgins and applies pressure as he twists her arm. He clubs her in the back of the head with multiple shots before locking up for a German suplex. Figgins tries to battle out but Morgan hits a back to belly takedown. Morgan locked in a side headlock on the downed Figgins but she was able to wiggle free and got to her feet. Figgins stepped up and cracked a forearm against the jaw of Morgan before sending him into her corner to make the tag. After the tag Figgins pulled Morgan to the center of the ring and James joins her as they double suplex Morgan to the mat. James pulls Morgan back to his feet and continues the assault with a few kicks to the side. Morgan staggered away from James and came back and was able to force her against the ropes. He landed a few shots before the referee forces the break away from the ropes. James and Morgan lock up and he’s able to overpower her and bring her up and down with a spinebuster.
Nick Webb: Lots of back and forth action so far between these two teams, Rayne.
Rayne: Neither team wanting to break.
Morgan makes the tag to Scene as she entered for the first time. Scene went for a leg drop across the face of James but James was able to roll out of the way. James rolled to her corner and made the tag to an awaiting Figgins who entered the ring with some energy. She met Scene with a quick clothesline to take her to the mat. Scene was right back up and ran right into a shoulder block from Figgins. Figgins pulled Scene to her feet and tried to whip Scene into the corner but Scene reversed. Figgins ran up the turnbuckles and turned mid air as she jumped backwards, connecting with a leg lariat. Figgins rolled into a cover, hooked a leg, but Scene kicked out after two. Scene fought to her feet and hit a step up enziguri on Figgins to take her down. Scene watched Figgins start to get to her feet before grabbing her by the head and used the second ropes to help execute a tornado DDT. Scene makes the tag to Morgan and he starts to stomp on Figgins as she enters the ring. She stands and is immediately taken down with a German suplex. Morgan drops an elbow on Figgins before pulling her to her feet. He picked her up for a fisherman’s suplex and turned it into a double knee gutbuster. He covered and was able to pick up a two count before Figgins kicked out. Figgins used the ropes to help her get to her feet and found herself being set up for another German suplex. Morgan went for the German but Figgins was able to flip backwards and landed on her feet. She dove and made the hot tag to James. James waited for Morgan to turn around and connects with the Zero Matrix (Slingshot Dragonrana) from the apron. James hooked Morgan’s legs but only gets a two fall.
Nick Webb: Both teams bending but not breaking.
Morgan was pulled to his feet and James locked up with him. She looked for the Surface of Revolution (Corkscrew Neckbreaker) but Morgan spins her around and breaks free. Morgan rocks James with a hard kick to the gut and lifts her up, bringing her down with a brainbuster. Both competitors as slow to their feet as they each make a tag to their partners. Scene is in first and ducks Figgins running and looking for a clothesline. Figgins turns and is dropped with a 3/4 cutter out of nowhere. Scene looks for a cover but James enters the ring to break it up. Morgan enters the ring to even the odds. Scene kicks James in the gut and Morgan comes charging with the Hybrid Moment (Boma Ye Knee) that rocked James as she rolled out of the ring. Figgins had gotten to her feet and she ran at the turnbuckle, springing back for another leg lariat but Morgan caught her mid air as they executed the Sincere Apology (Powerbomb [Morgan], Backstabber [Scene]). Scene hooked the leg of Figgins and picked up the pinfall.
WINNERS AND NEW BWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: Kara Scene and Leland Morgan 15:22
Nick Webb: New champions!
Rayne: Static Age has captured the Tag Team Titles from the Justicars after a fantastic match.
Nick Webb: They’ve been gunning for the belts since stepping foot in the BWF and have finally knocked off their tag team rivals.
Welcome Back
We pan to the backstage area as the fans cheer as we’re treated with a BWF Hall of Famer, X, walking through the hallways on his way to his match. A serious look covers the face of the returning X as he starts to slow down before someone else walks into view to cut him off. The crowd pops once again as they see Gabe Shelley standing in front of X with his arms crossed. He looks X over once and nods before smiling, extending his hand.
Gabe Shelley: Welcome back.
X looks at Gabe before extending his hand with a smile back and the two men shake hands.
X: It feels good to be home.
The crowd loves what they’re seeing as they cheer once again.
Gabe Shelley: They’re ready for you out there, X. I have no doubt that those fans are in for a treat. Just like I know you wouldn’t be going out there if you weren’t ready for this match. I have to admit that you look in better shape now than you did for Legacy X a couple years ago.
X smirks and nods.
X: Yeah, I’m ready. This isn’t a one night sort of thing like Legacy X was, Gabe. I’m here for a reason and tonight is just the start.
Gabe Shelley: Good. Get out there and kick some ass. Oh, and I brought you this.
The fans pop as Shelley holds up a beat up duffel bag but X looks confused. He grabs it and takes a look inside and pulls out a Singapore cane. X starts to chuckle and smiles.
X: You do the same. Good luck out there tonight. Win that title and maybe we’ll be able to give the fans something special soon.
The two men bump fists as X heads towards the ring with the duffel bag full of Singapore canes in hand.
X entered the ring first and tossed the duffel bag to the apron against the ring post and watched Hall make his entrance. X leaned against the ropes and looked unimpressed. Hall went searching under the ring before the match started and started tossing things into the ring. Flying in the ring were multiple chairs, some sort of long box, and a trash can. The referee yelled at Hall to get into the ring and he rolled under the ropes. Hall yelled something at X and as the bell sounded attacked. X blocked a lot of the blows incoming from Hall and started to battle back with his own lefts and rights. Hall pushed X into the corner and went to grab the trash can. X stepped forward and drove his boot into the trash can and it went face first into Hall’s face. X pulled Hall to his feet and locked him in a bearhug before lifting him, spinning him, and dropping him back first into the trash can. X stood and walked around the ring slowly as the fans cheered him on. Hall pulled himself up and threw a chair into the face of X as he approached. X staggered away and spun back around into Hall coming hard with a clothesline. Hall grabbed a chair and drove it end first into the gut of X. Hall looked around and smiled before driving the chair into the gut of X again. Hall walked over and grabbed the long box and started to open it, revealing a bunch of fluorescent light bulbs.
Nick Webb: What is Hall thinking here?
Rayne: Whatever it is I’m not liking it.
Hall grabs the chair and cracks X over the skull as he starts to stand before setting X up between two chairs, placing light bulbs under the chairs and body. Hall rushed to the top rope and dove, connecting with a 450 splash and crashed through X and into the light bulbs. He covered as he hooked the leg but X kicked out at two. The fans started to rally behind X and urged him to his feet. Hall was slow to his feet as well and pulled X the rest of the way up. X blasted Hall with a hard headbutts. Once, twice, and a third. X lifted Hall and spun him, dropping him with a spinebuster on one of the still opened chairs as it collapsed. X rolled out of the ring to catch his breath and grabbed the duffel bag and went to a knee. He opened it up and pulled out a black and white painted Singapore cane. X smiled as he rolled back into the ring and Hall pulled himself to his feet. Hall tried to springboard off the ropes but was hit in the head as he turned in mid air. Hall fell to the mat hard and X began to crack the cane across the back of Hall. X rolled back out of the ring and looked under the ring and pulled out another trash can before tossing it in the ring. X rolled in after it and Hall was up and tried to start fighting back with kicks. X grabbed one of the kicks and spun Hall around. X grabbed Hall and took him down with a two handed sit down chokeslam onto the trash can. X started to cover but pulled Hall up instead and pushed him into the corner. Hall hit the corner and staggered forward, spun, and hit a clothesline that sent X into the ropes. Hall charged and X flipped him over his back and Hall landed on the apron. X grabbed the cane and cracked it over the head of Hall as he tried to dive over the ropes with a shoulder block. Hall fell to the mat hard and seemed out before X grabbed him and locked in the Straight Jacket (Half Nelson, Half Chicken Wing with hands locked) and shook Hall around. Hall had no choice but to tap out in the middle of the ring.
WINNER: X, via submission 12:11
X tossed Hall to the ground as the fans cheered his return and win.
Nick Webb: I think it’s safe to say that X is back.
Sabrina Scott and Jay Blazenwing were next after a few minutes and the ring was cleared from the previous bout. Before the match could begin out walked Dagger and Nael. They made their way to ringside and stood at the bottom of the ramp. Both competitors were introduced and the fans gave both a good reception as the International Title is held high and the bell sounded. Scott and Blazenwing shared a few words and we were ready to go. They locked up and Blazenwing twisted Scott’s arm and applied pressure on her shoulder. Scott flipped over and hit Blazenwing with an arm drag. He popped up and Scott dropped to the mat as he charged and he jumped over her. Scott jumped up and grabbed Blazenwing as he came back at her and she flipped him over with a monkey flip. Blazenwing landed on his feet and as he turned around he was hit with a running dropkick. Blazenwing went flying backwards and the back of his head hit the second turnbuckle as he fell. Blazenwing sat against the turnbuckles and grabbed at the back of head his as Scott came over and pulled him to his feet. Scott hit a snap suplex on Blazenwing in the center of the ring before jumping to the second rope. Blazenwing rolled to his feet and Scott looked for a jumping DDT but Blazenwing catches her and hits a northern lights suplex. Blazenwing pulled Scott to her feet and connected with an exploder suplex before popping to his feet. Dagger and Nael conversed with each other on the outside. Blazenwing connected with a kick to Scott’s back as she stood up that seemed to take the air right out of her. Blazenwing followed it with a second kick, a third, a fourth, and then hit a float over neckbreaker.
Nick Webb: The champion is in control right now. He has Sabrina on the ropes.
Rayne: He’s already beat her twice. I think we can safely say that Blazenwing has Scott’s number.
Blazenwing pulled Scott to her feet tripped her up with the Tap or Snap (Rolling Heel Hook with Grapevine) and had it locked in tight. Scott was in pain but refused to submit. Nael smiled as she watched on. Blazenwing yelled at Scott to tap but she kept screaming no. Scott slowly pulled herself to the ropes as Blazenwing kept the pressure on. Scott fought and finally made it to the ropes to break the hold. She crawled all the way out of the ring and some damage had been done to her ankle as she tried to walk it off. She used the steps to climb up to the apron and back into the ring. Blazenwing locked up with Scott as she entered back into the ring and tried to lock in the Tap or Snap again but this time Scott was able to roll away and to her feet. Both competitors were back to their feet and Scott ducked an incoming jumping forearm. She grabbed Blazenwing from behind and locked in the Lights Out (Tazzmission).
Nick Webb: Sabrina’s got AJ Adams’ move locked in on Jay right in the middle of the ring.
Rayne: Looks like she’s been taking lessons.
Blazenwing fell to a knee but wouldn’t give up and told the referee no by waving him off. He flipped Scott over his shoulders before she could lock in a grapevine and got her to break the hold. Scott rolled to her feet and was rocked with a jumping side kick. He pulled Scott up and looked for a backdrop but Scott landed on her feet but seemed to land hard on her hurt ankle. Blazenwing charged and was taken down with a drop toe hold that hung him up on the top rope. Scott connected with the Blue Light Special (619) that popped Blazenwing in the face as he rolled backwards. Scott springboarded and looked like she was looking for the Seeing Stars (Springboard Colliding Headbutt), Blazenwing looked for the Legacy Effect (Sweet Chin Music) but Scott avoided it and landed beside him. Scott popped up and hit Blazenwing with the Pocketful of Sunshine (Lungblower Backbreaker to opponent’s head) and dove into a cover and picked up the win.
WINNER AND NEW BWF INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION: Sabrina Scott, via pinfall 15:33
Sabrina jumped to her feet after the win and was handed the International Title. She turned as she noticed Dagger taking a few steps forward but Nael put her hand on Dagger’s shoulders and the two stopped and started to back up. Nael mouthed “not tonight” to Dagger as they made their way to the back. Blazenwing was to his feet and looked around as Scott offered a handshake. After a moment he accepted and the crowd cheered.
Zoe Cooper and Fenryr Wulfsson were set to compete as Cooper had a very determined look on her face, Fenryr ready to fight. They were both introduced and Fenryr handed the belt off to Rune as the bell sounded. Cooper came out with something to prove as she attacked as soon as the bell sounded. Hard left hands from Cooper which were followed up with a hard European uppercut. Fenryr fell into the ropes and staggered back and connected with a hard forearm. Fenryr wrapped his arms around Cooper and exploded with a belly to belly suplex. Cooper rolled right to her feet and Fenryr turned right into the Face Replacer (Running Bryan-Style Knee) as the fans popped! Cooper dove into a cover and Fenryr kicked out at two and rolled out of the ring.
Nick Webb: Zoe Cooper almost pulled off a quick upset there and Fenryr is shocked.
Rayne: Zoe is really looking to recover from a bad couple of weeks and a win here tonight would surely do that.
Fenryr regathered himself on the outside of the ring and looked back towards Cooper just as she came diving through the second rope with a suicide elbow. Cooper and Fenryr crash to the floor as Rune watched on nearby. Cooper was up first and rolled Fenryr into the ring and followed in after him. She pulled him to his feet drove an elbow to the back of the neck. Cooper followed it up with backdrop. Fenryr got to his feet after fending of Cooper trying to pull him up again and drove a knee into her gut. Fenryr grabbed Cooper and connected with a release gutwrench powerbomb and rolled into a cover for two. Fenryr pulled Cooper back up and sent her off the ropes and looked for a tilt-a-whirl but Cooper reversed it into a DDT. Cooper jumped back to her feet and climbed to the second rope and came flying at Fenryr with a diving splash. She hooked the leg and covered for another two count. Cooper looked around before pulling Fenryr back to his feet. Fenryr ducked under Cooper and locked in a full nelson before delivering a dragon suplex. Fenryr started walking over to Cooper and begun to pull her up but Cooper pulled him down into a small package but only got two once again. Both competitors were up and Cooper charged, looking for a crossbody but was caught. Fenryr showed off his strength as he lifted Cooper up and dropped her with the 9-9-9 (Gorilla Press Slam). Fenryr pulled Cooper up and started to set her up for the Hel Road (Double Underhook Powerbomb) but Cooper reversed into a headscissors takedown. Cooper was to her feet and rocked Fenryr with a shining wizard as he got to his knees. Cooper was feeling the momentum and caught Fenryr with the Roundabout (Spinning Heel Kick) as he got to his feet. She followed it up by climbing to the top ropes as Fenryr got to his feet. Cooper dove and looked for what was going to be a flipping neckbreaker but she was caught. Fenryr had her in a suplex position and held her high before driving her into the mat with the Oathbreaker (Vertical Suplex Piledriver) and covered, picking up the three count win.
WINNER AND STILL BWF SOVEREIGN CHAMPION: Fenryr Wulfsson, via pinfall 13:11
Fenryr rolled out of the ring and was handed the Sovereign Title by Rune as he smirked. The couple started making their way to the back as Cooper started to come to. She sat in the middle of the ring and began to cry.
Nick Webb: Another tough loss for Zoe.
Rayne: She’s leaking.
Nick Webb: She’s crying, Rayne.
Rayne: Where does she go from here? Zoe’s as down as she’s ever been. She can’t win, her boyfriend is in another company.
Coming Soon to PPV

The next contest was coming up as Maverick watched DJ Cassidy come to the ring with his protege Tyler Zane flanked behind him, waving a flag that said “Sin City Shooters Club”. The fans were clearly behind Maverick as the match was about to start. “Let’s go Johnny” filled the arena as the bell sounded to start things off. The two men locked up and Cassidy opened with a few stiff uppercuts on Maverick before driving an elbow to the side of his head. Maverick staggered backwards but came back with a hard clothesline. Cassidy rolled to his feet and ducked another incoming clothesline and caught Maverick with a neckbreaker. Cassidy hit the ropes and hit Maverick with a running big boot as he sat up. Cassidy followed it up with a jumping elbow drop and then locked in a side headlock with Maverick downed on the mat. Maverick propped up to a knee and slid out of the hold and locked in a sleeper hold on his own. Cassidy was able to pull Maverick up and reversed into a backdrop. Maverick was up right after Cassidy and caught him with a hard kick to the side and followed it with a spinning elbow to the side of the head. Maverick grabbed Cassidy and connected with a side slam. As Cassidy started to sit up and was rocked with a hard kick to the face. Maverick looked for a cover but only got a two count. Maverick popped up and hit the ropes and came back with the OF!MF! (Running Shotei) as Cassidy stood and the fans loved it. Maverick went for another quick cover but was pulled out of the ring by Tyler Zane. Maverick and the referee yelled at Zane as he walked around the ring. Maverick rolled back into the ring and had an elbow meet his back as he did.
Nick Webb: I think Johnny might have had it there if it weren’t for Zane.
Rayne: I’m not sure. Cassidy isn’t the Triple Crown champion for nothing. I think Zane was playing it safe but Cassidy still might have kicked out.
Nick Webb: Whose side are you on?
Cassidy pulled Maverick to his feet and locked in a hammerlock as they locked back up. Cassidy applied pressure before clotheslining Maverick in the back of the head. He mounted Maverick as he was face down and pulled back on Maverick’s head, putting pressure on his back, before landing a few clubbing blows to the head. Maverick slipped free and was able to roll Cassidy off and got to his feet. He charged but Cassidy caught him with a snap powerslam and into a cover, only picking up a two fall. Both men were to their feet once again and Maverick caught Cassidy with another hard snap kick. Maverick measured him up and looked for another kick but Cassidy blocked it and flipped Maverick to his back. Cassidy grabbed his other leg and started to swing him around with a big swing. After a few full turns Cassidy dropped Maverick and staggered backwards, slightly dizzy as well. He pulled Maverick up and started to set up a DDT but Maverick spun him around and hit a big German suplex. Maverick held onto Cassidy and pulled him back up to connect with a second German. He pulled Cassidy right back up and looked to complete the Maverick Special (Two Germans, Bridged Dragon Suplex) but Zane jumped onto the apron to distract him.
Nick Webb: Zane distracting Maverick.
The referee turns to Zane and tells him to get down as he waves the Sin City Shooters Club flag. Out from the back ran down BWF’s Spykeman as the fans popped. Spykeman pulled Zane off the apron and the two stared down but didn’t come to blows. Maverick turned back to Cassidy and ducked an incoming clothesline. He lifted Cassidy up for the Welcome to DC (Reverse GTS) but Cassidy battled out from Maverick’s shoulders and got to his feet. He connected with a knee to the gut, an elbow to the head, and hit a butterfly suplex. Cassidy started pulling Maverick back up and was pushed away. Maverick looked for another OF!MF! but Cassidy side stepped him. Maverick turned and took a kick to the gut and Cassidy exploded with the Adrenaline Spike III (DR Driver II). He dove onto Maverick and picked up the win.
WINNER AND STILL EWS WORLD TRIPLE CROWN CHAMPION: DJ Cassidy, via pinfall 14:41
Nick Webb: So close! Johnny Maverick almost had DJ Cassidy’s number a few times there.
Cassidy rolled out of the ring as he and Zane went up the ramp with the titles in hand as we cut to a quick video package highlighting the Happenstance Tournament.
Rayne: This is it, Nick!
Nick Webb: How much money do you have riding on this match?
Rayne: I’m not saying. I don’t want to jinx it.
The two competitors each made their way to the ring and looked at the awaiting throne at the top of the ramp on their way out, Ellis Straker joining Biafra at ringside for the bout. The crowd seemed almost split for the two competitors as the bell sounded to start things. The started off slow by locking up and each trying to wrench the arm of the other. Park flowed behind Biafra and locked in a hammerlock but Biafra flipped her over with a snapmare and locked in a sleeper. Park slipped away and got to her feet before dropping Biafra with a shoulder block. He popped right back up and they locked right back up before he landed a jumping side slam. Biafra rolled to his feet and quickly jumped back up and dropped an elbow across Park and covered, getting a one count. Biafra pulled Park to her feet as she started to strike back with hard chops to the chest. After three hard chops she rocked Biafra with a headbutt that staggered both of them. Biafra stepped forward and was taken down with a drop toe hold. Park flipped Biafra over and started to lock in the Cry for Kim Il (Figure Four Leg Lock) but he kicked her off as she spun over his leg. Biafra rolled to his feet and caught Park with the Quickiller (Spinning Backfist). Biafra went for a cover and picked up two before Park kicked out. Biafra grabbed Park by the hair and pulled her to her feet and drove a boot into her gut. Biafra delivered an implant DDT. He rolled to his feet before climbing to the second ropes. Biafra jumps and connects with a second drop leg drop across the chest. He hooked the leg and got another two count before Park kicked out.
Rayne: Biafra staying on Park and pulling out all the stops.
Nick Webb: Park not quitting though but you can tell she’s started to wear down.
Park is slow to her feet but catches Biafra with a knee to the gut as he steps forward. She sent Biafra into the far corner before charging after him and hits a big splash. Biafra staggered out of the corner and Park catches him with a running crossbody and hooks the leg for two. Biafra kicks out and powered to his feet. Park jumped and hit an overhead chop that stunned Biafra. She springboarded and looked for another crossbody but Biafra turned it into fallaway slam as he caught her. Park rolled to her knees and Biafra hit a running knee to the side of her head. Biafra grabbed the leg of Park and locked in a single leg crab. Park tried to roll under Biafra to release the pressure but he dropped down to add more pressure. Park started to crawl to the ropes but Biafra pulled her back to the center of the ring when she was close to grabbing them. Park looked like she was about to tap out but she gave one last lunge towards the ropes and got her hand around the bottom rope. Park grabbed at her knee and pulled herself to her feet. Biafra charged at Park but she caught him with a front dropkick. She kipped up to her feet but you could tell her knee was bothering her. She jumped up as Biafra stood and caught him with a headscissors takedown. She climbed to the second rope as the fans cheered. Park looked around and pulled herself all the way to the top rope.
Rayne: What is she doing!?
Nick Webb: Pulling out all the stops!
Park dove, looking for a leg drop, but Biafra rolled out of the way as Park landed hard. Both competitors were down and slow to get to their feet but Biafra was up first. Park was up and hit a forearm that staggered Biafra against the ropes. He exploded back at Park with the Instant Karma (Rebound Lariat) that took Park down. Biafra pulled Park up and positioned himself behind her before hitting a blue thunder bomb. Biafra started to pull Park up and took a hard headbutt from Park again. Park flipped behind Biafra and rolled him up with a school boy pin but only got two. Park thought she had Biafra as did a handful of fans. She looked around and pulled Biafra to his feet. Biafra pulled back and delivered a hard right hand. Park came back with her own. The two competitors going back and forth with shots. Biafra tried to position Park for the Full Moon Special (Jumping Package Piledriver) but Park spun away and dropkicked Biafra. Biafra hit the turnbuckle and quickly jumped to the second rope. He looked for a axe handle smash and Park caught him with a modified Seoul Food (Eat Defeat) and surprised everyone as she covered for the win.
WINNER AND THE 2015 HAPPENSTANCE MONARCH: Brianna Park, via pinfall 16:44
Nick Webb: Brianna Park has done it! Against all odds, Park is the 2015 Happenstance Queen! That means she'll be moving on to next month's Danger Zone to compete for the BWF World Championship! What a victory for this young woman!
Park looked around, shocked, as her named was announced. She stands and jumps up and down in excitement as Biafra slowly stands in disbelief. Biafra reaches his hand out to Park and she goes to accept but is rocked with a hard left hand as the crowd is stunned. Biafra stands over Park as Ellis Straker rolled into the ring and yells at Biafra saying that she took Van’s destiny.
Rayne: What!?
Nick Webb: Van Biafra just rocked Park with that shot. Now he’s attacking her! Someone stop this!
Biafra stomps on the fallen Park as Straker urges him on. The fans booing as Biafra chokes her with his boot in the corner. They start to cheer as we see Tag Team Champions Static Age charging the ring for the save. Morgan hits the ring first and pulls Biafra off Park as Scene checks on her, Biafra and Morgan having a stand off. Scene starts to help Park up as Morgan turns and hits the Hybrid Moment (Boma Ye Knee) as the crowd starts to boo. Static Age smile as Biafra claps and gives them instruction. Morgan pulls Park to her feet and they deliver the Sincere Apology (Powerbomb [Morgan], Backstabber [Scene]). The crowd boos the four as they roll out of the ring.
Rayne: Park has been decimated.
Nick Webb: Now who’s that!?
A hooded figure steps out onto the stage to meet Biafra, Straker, and Static Age. The hood is pulled down to reveal former BWF competitor Ramona Holiday and she says something to the group.
Nick Webb: Ramona Holiday!?
She hands small containers that were sitting at her feet to Static Age and follows them with her own as they walk over to the throne and crown at the top of the stage. They start to pour a liquid over everything and Holiday takes a step back before handing something to Biafra. He strikes the lighter and looks at the flame. Straker says something to him and he tosses the lighter on the throne as it goes up in flames.
Rayne: Biafra is burning the accomplishment of Park. I’ve never seen anything like this.
Park has come to and is looking on in shock as the fans boo loudly, the group leaving. As it burns we get a video package of Allen Chaney’s rise to the top to become BWF World Champion to set us up for the main event.
Gabe Shelley hit the ring first to the one of the biggest pops of the night from the crowd. He looked ready as he entered the ring. He chatted up the referee as Elena Simonova made her way down with many cheers. She sat against the corner and stretched before the match started. Allen Chaney came to the ring with lots of boos as an animated video played on the screen depicting David Slayton and AJ Adams as pinatas getting beat up and exploding. Chaney handed off the BWF World Title to the referee as all competitors were introduced. The bell sounded and Elena and Shelley charged Chaney and pushed him into the corner and started to land hard lefts and rights. Chaney explodes out of the corner with a double clothesline to take down Shelley and Elena. Shelley is up first and walks into a hard spinebuster from Chaney. Elena is up and she’s taken down with a powerslam in the middle of the ring and Chaney covers but only gets a one. Shelley pulled Chaney to his feet and dropped him back down with a suplex. Elena met Shelley as he stood and she connected with a superkick! She covered but only got two. Chaney pulled Elena up and threw her into the corner and followed with a hard corner clothesline. Chaney turned and rocked Shelley with a bionic elbow. Elena came jumping from the corner and Chaney caught her with a powerbomb.
Nick Webb: I’m having problems following everything!
Rayne: How’s anyone going to get the upper hand here in this match?
Chaney popped up and grabbed Shelley and hit another bionic elbow before tossing him out of the ring. Elena pulled herself up using the ropes and hit a forearm when Chaney approached. Elena whipped Chaney into the corner and charged, hitting the 200 Proof (Lifting corner knee to monkey flip). Elana quickly pulled Chaney back up and sent him over the top rope to the apron before dropkicking him off. Elena ran the far ropes, back towards Chaney, and dove over the top ropes and took out both Chaney and Shelley as the fans popped.
Nick Webb: A lot on the line so Elena pulling out the big guns.
Elena slowly got to her feet and Shelley and right behind her as they said something to each other and seemed to be in agreement. They pulled Chaney to his feet and Elena started to tell Webb and Rayne to clear the area as Shelley rolled Chaney onto the announce table. Elena climbed up with them and she joined Shelley as he started to powerbomb Chaney. Elena jumped up and hit a falling neckbreaker as Shelley powerbombed Chaney as they put him through the announce table.
Nick Webb: Elena and Gabe just took Allen out!
Elena and Shelley stirred as Chaney laid motionless. They crawled to the apron and both slid into the ring and got to their feet. Elena and Shelley started to exchange lefts and right before Shelley ducked one of the incoming shots. Shelley spun Elena around and connects with the Jersey Cutter (Twist of Fate). Shelley covered but Elena kicked out at two. Shelley was up and pulled Elena up to her feet and delivered a kick to the gut. The crowd started to cheer as Shelley set up for the Junk Yard Jam (Pedigree) but Elena flipped Shelley up and over her shoulders. Elena spun and kicked Shelley hard with a boot to the back. Shelley was back up and was taken down with a hard running axe handle smash. Elena finished up her Hammer and Sickle (Axe Handle into Buzzsaw kick) combo. Elena covered and picked up a two count fall before Shelley kicked out. Shelley was slow to his feet and Elena was to the top rope. Elena looked for the KGB (Top Rope Dragonrana) but Shelley rolled out of the way. Elena landed on her feet and Shelley spun her around and connected with the Junk Yard Jam. The crowd roared and Shelley covered for two before Elena kicked out.
Nick Webb: I thought Shelley had this thing won.
Rayne: So did the crowd!
On the outside of the ring trainers have begun to check on Chaney as they call for more trainers. Shelley pulled Elena to her feet and she strikes with a hard uppercut. She rocks Shelley with a roundhouse kick that staggers him into the corner. Elena charges and hits a hard clothesline and follows it up with a bulldog coming out of the corner. She pulls Shelley up and he pushes her away and starts to lift her for the reVolt (Cradle Shock) but Elena is able to slip off his shoulders and to her feet. She spins Shelley around and hits the Reverse Psychology (C4)! The crowd behind Elena is loud as dueling “Let’s go Elena” “Come on Shelley” chants fill the arena. Elena pumps her fist and calls for the Vodka Tonic (Canadian Destroyer). Out of nowhere comes Zoe Cooper and attacks Elena. She grabs her by the hair and tosses her over the top ropes and the fans are confused. Cooper rolls out of the ring and starts to throw hard shots as Elena is against the barricade, screaming at her “It’s all your fault”. Elena starts to defend herself and they spill into the crowd and continue fighting.
Nick Webb: Zoe is attacking her former partner and mentor!
Rayne: She’s snapped!
Shelley starts to stir and come to as he crawls on all fours. The crowd turns their attention back to the ring as we see a half-dead Chaney come jumping off the second rope, having snuck into the ring, and hit the Heckler Control (Curbstomp)! The crowd can’t believe it and both men are down in the ring. Chaney crawls slowly to Shelley and is able to drape his arm over his chest as the referee counts to three.
WINNER AND STILL BWF WORLD CHAMPION: Allen Chaney, via pinfall 23:27
Nick Webb: Chaney came out of nowhere and hit that Heckler Control.
Rayne: Where did he come from!? I thought Chaney was dead!
Chaney rolls into the corner as he’s handed the BWF World Title with a smile on his face, laughing. He holds the title closely against his chest.
Nick Webb: What a night, folks. Thanks for tuning in!
Rayne: Can anyone stop Allen?
Nick Webb: We’ll find out! Thanks for watching, everyone!
We’re left with Chaney in the ring as we fade to black, logo, black.
Rayne:: Change of heart, Webb?
Nick Webb:: A temporary one.

Chaney turned and rocked Shelley with a bionic elbow. Elena came jumping from the corner and Chaney caught her with a powerbomb.
