Episode 192 - March 20, 2015
Nick Webb: Welcome everyone to episode 191! We’re one week away from Happenstance where we will crown the 2015 Happenstance Monarch and so much more.
Rayne: We have the four quarterfinal matches set for Havok tonight and we also see the BWF World Champion in action once again as he faces the other third of the BWF World Championship match at Happenstance. Allen Chaney lost to Gabe Shelley last week and will look to go into Happenstance with some momentum as he takes on Elena Simonova.
Nick Webb: Let’s get the night started!
Nick Webb: We are joined at ringside by a guest, the manager of the Sovereign Champion, Rune Sigidotir.
Rune: Thank you Webb, and thank you to all of my fans for tuning in. It is an honor...for all of you.
Both competitors enter the ring and the fans are behind both of them. Rune mentions that all of the idiots that like Karli should be caned, Webb plays up the abilities of both wrestlers, and Rayne mentions Tailor's great experience advantage but that Karli's...assets may be a distraction.
The match begins with Sebastian immediately gaining the upper hand against the less experienced Karli. He powers her back into the corner before unleashing a series of open hand chest slaps before sending her to the ropes. Tailor hits a powerslam and covers for a quick two count. Tailor continues the assault with a scoop slam and a Russian leg sweep before climbing to the top turnbuckle.
Nick Webb: Tailor looking good tonight against Frost.
Rayne: Nobody looks good against Frost...except maybe you, Rune.
Nick Webb: You're only saying that because she's sitting right there. The Happenstance crown is not something to take lightly, and I think Tailor knows that more than Frost tonight. The rookie needs to get her head back in the game if she has a hope at this thing.
Rune: I agree...with Webb.
Rayne: Oh, come on!
Karli is slow to get to her feet and Tailor leaps off of the top with a missile dropkick, but Karli moves out of the way. Tailor hits the mat hard and is struggling to find his feet again. Karli is up first and lifts Sebastian with a side suplex, sending him to the ropes after to hit a clothesline. She immediately hits the ropes herself and attacks with a springboard senton. She hooks the leg and gets a two count. She locks in a headlock and Sebastian lifts her up into an atomic drop. She staggers forward slightly and he rolls her up into a pin. Karli kicks out at two and a half and both are on their feet at nearly the same time. Karli goes for a springboard cross body, but through some miracle of modern physics Sebastian reverses the move and spins her into a black hole slam as he's falling back, and both hit the mat hard. Sebastian is slightly faster to his feet and looks for the Tailor Made (Sweet Chin Music), but Karli rolls forward under the kick, which catches the referee instead. The official is knocked back, through the ropes, and down to the floor. Sebastian turns around into a kick to the midsection, followed by Karli nailing the Afterglow (Gory Neckbreaker) and going for the cover. There is no referee, and the audience begins counting.
Rayne: The referee is out on the floor over there. Karli's won this match twice!
Nick Webb: You're right, Rayne, but...
Rune: Oh my god, you've got to be kidding me. These officials are the worst. Ever.
Rune drops her headset, stands up from the announcers table and runs to where the referee is lying outside of the ring. She starts trying to wake him up when Karli sees her and moves to the ropes, screaming for Rune to mind her own business. Rune gives Karli the “You're number one” salute and starts checking on the referee. When Karli turns her back though, Rune dives under the ropes and spins Karli around into a Slap Shot (Complete Shot). Karli is out on the mat and Rune pulls Sebastian on top of her. The referee is coming to on the outside of the ring. Rune rolls him in after checking on him, and he sees the pinning predicament, counting the 1, 2, 3 and awarding the match to Tailor.
WINNER: Sebastian Tailor, via pinfall (7:13)
Sebastian Tailor looks a little shocked when he comes to with his arm in the air. He looks around and sees Rune on the outside of the ring and the looks down at Karli. He stands up and begins yelling at Rune before checking on Karli with the referee. Rune walks around the ring, never taking her eyes off of Karli as she backs up the ramp. Sebastian is talking to Karli and after a few minutes she hugs him. The crowd pops when he raises his arm and hers at the same time.
Nick Webb: There you have it, folks. Sebastian Tailor advances to the semi-finals at Happenstance. We wish him the best of luck in this event.
Rayne: You're right, and by the looks of how this tournament is shaping up so far, he's going to need it. There is still a long way to go after this match tonight!
Nick Webb: It's just a pity that Rune felt the need to interfere. There are no words to describe that woman. She's evil.
Rayne: She's not evil. It's just...typical hot chick rivalry. They just need to have a lingerie pillow fight and settle their differences.
Nick Webb: Rune would put a three foot chain in her pillowcase, you know that. Don't go anywhere folks, we'll be back after Rayne takes a cold shower and this message from backstage.
Marked Man
The camera moves backstage where Kim Cranston is standing by with the man who will face the returning BWF Hall of Famer X in a Hardcore Match at Happenstance in one week, Danny Hall. Kim asks Danny what made him call out X in the first place; Danny explains that he's tired of seeing all of these "old dogs" coming back to companies they were in a decade ago, taking away the paychecks from the "next generation" because they weren't smart enough to invest in AARP like a normal senior citizen. Kim goes on to state that X is the only man to win the Gauntlet Run twice, is a two-time BWF World Champion, and the list goes on and on. "Sure," Danny interrupts, "he was a big deal back when you had guys dressing up like Power Rangers and ICP in BWF. Yeah, I did my homework, old man. If I was around back in 'your day', you never would have made it past your debut match."
Kim then asks Danny how much of X he's actually seen in action. "Enough to know I have nothing to be worried about," answers Hall. Kim then asks Danny to turn his attention to the nearby monitor, where a special video package for the returning X is waiting to play.
The video ends and Kim starts to ask Danny another question, but he rips the mic out of her hand and says "Whatever. I'm not scared of some wannabe jester with face paint and a halfway decent record from the days of BWF that were so incredible, the warehouse containing all of the archived footage burned down just to prevent anybody from ever having to relive years of wrestlecrap." The fans boo loudly as Danny continues; "X is the past. Danny Hall is the future. Next week at Happenstance, I'm going to beat down X so bad, his grandkids sitting at ringside are going to need therapy after. The big BWF return of Goth Ronald McDonald begins and ends with Danny... Hall. At Happenstance, I'm sending you down the Hallway... to Hell. Mark THAT - bitch."
Hall drops the mic and glares at Kim for a moment before walking off, leaving the scene to fade to commercial.
Karloff came to the ring in his Phantom get up with Nael flanking him. She stood at ringside as Spykeman made his way to the ring and we were set for the next match. The two men are ready to go as Spykeman offers a handshake but Karloff just stares him down. Karloff drove a knee into the gut of Spykeman before hitting a bulldog. Karloff pulled Spykeman back to his feet and attempted to lift him up and over for a suplex but Spykeman twisted and landed on his feet before kicking Karloff in the back of the knee to force him down to just one. Spykeman went off the ropes and hit the Sweet Christmas (Shining Wizard) and tried to cover but only got one. Spykeman looked and pointed to the ropes as the fans cheered. He springboarded off them and looked for an axe handle smash but was rocked with the Sine Oculus (Pele Kick). Karloff pulled Spykeman back up and hit the Sine Pax (Straight Jacket Suplex Bridged into Pin) and picked up a two fall. Spykeman battled back to his feet and started to throw wild blows that seemed to catch Karloff off guard and hit a scoop slam. Spykeman jumped to the top ropes and locked in on Karloff as he stood and connected with the Oh My Stars and Garters (Shooting Star Dropkick). Spykeman was feeling it and called for the end as Karloff started to stand and looked for the Clobberin’ Time (Roundhouse Kick) but Karloff ducked. Spykeman spun all the way around and Karloff locked in the Sine Bucca (Mandible Claw STO) and Spykeman had to tap.
WINNER: Martin Karloff, via pinfall 9:54
Karloff released the hold and rolled out of the ring, looking at Nael before both made their way to the back.
Feel the Burn
Rune is backstage on the phone. As the camera gets closer to her, we can make out what she's saying.
Rune: No, when I said hand deliver, I meant deliver it to my hand. Who did you give it to so that I can go find it.
Voice on phone: I don't understand what could have happened. The woman that we gave it to said she was you, even signed your name. You're the blonde one, right?
Rune: No. I'm not. But I know what you've done, you idiot. How could you have given my dress to that BITCH!
Rune hangs up the phone, storming out of the back. She grabs a mic from the announcers table and climbs into the ring.
Rune: Karli! Karli, I know you can hear me! I know you have my dress, so bring it out here and hand it over, and nobody else will get hurt. Well, nobody else but you!
A moment passes before Rune moves to speak again and the Blazentron comes to life. Karli appears there, holding a black garment bag.
Karli: Hello, Rune. It's nice to see you again. I was beginning to think that we weren't friends anymore.
Rune: Shut up! Get out here, bring me my dress, and I promise you that I will let you leave this arena alive.
Karli: Well, you know, I've thought about it. The only problem is that I don't think that you would get anything out of it if I just brought it down to you. See, just tonight, you cost me my chance to win the Happenstance tournament. It was something very near and dear to my heart. Even if I didn't win, I was still hoping to at least be able to compete fairly. You stole that from me. So I stole this from you.
Rune: That's a four thousand dollar dress! You'd best be giving it back!
Karli: Oh...four thousand dollars. I'm sorry, I had no idea. Okay. I'll just leave it back here and you can come and get it when you're ready.
Karli walks through the back, as if looking for something.
Karli: Ah, here we are.
Karli rips open a first aid kit and pulls out a small bottle of alcohol. She steps outside to the parking lot.
Rune: Hey, what are you doing, you psycho?
Karli: Not a lot in here, but I think it'll work out. There isn't a lot of material.
Rune: No! No, stop please! I'm begging you! Don't...
Karli douses the dress with the alcohol, strikes a match, and lights Rune's dress on fire. Rune collapses in the ring, screaming in rage and pounding her fists on the mat as the dress continues to burn on the screen.
Rayne and Webb run down how both Park and Campbell have gotten here as we’re set to go. Campbell flexes in the ring as Park just rolls her eyes and tries to lock up with him. Campbell pushes her backwards that sends her hard to the mat. As she stood he met her with a hard short armed clothesline. Park bounced off the mat and rolled to her feet and came charging and ducked another clothesline from Campbell. She started to land forearms to the back of the head of Campbell before dropkicking him in the back. Park kipped up as Campbell stumbled into the corner. Park charged and jumped into Campbell and hit a corner splash before climbing to the second rope and started to land hard shots to the head as the crowd counted along with each blow. At 9, Campbell pushed himself out of the corner and landed a spinebuster on Park. He followed it up with a big boot as Park started to stand and started to feel some momentum. Campbell pulled Park to her feet and started to set up a pumphandle slam but as he lifted her to his shoulder she turned it into a reverse DDT. Park hooked a leg and got a two count as Campbell kicked out. Campbell powered his way to his feet and hit a kick to the gut and looked for another hard clothesline but Park reversed it into the Seoul Food (Eat Defeat) and dove into a cover to pick up the win.
WINNER: Brianna Park, via pinfall 10:54
Park celebrated in the ring as the fans cheered her on and Rayne and Webb couldn’t believe the upset over the Hall of Famer. Park went to the back as we went to commercial.

Elation/Deflation
The camera moves backstage, where Don McMichael is standing by with Sabrina Scott, who is in civilian attire.
Don McMichael: Sabrina, great to see you here tonight, especially after the events of last week's heinous assault by Akemi Hayashi - sorry, Dagger - and the woman who is apparently now her manager, the enigmatic Nael.
Sabrina Scott: Thanks for having me, Donnie. The Wyatts gave me tonight off just to be on the safe side, but I wasn't going to sit at home and let that meanyhead Dagger think she's "won". Besides, the Happenstance Tournament Quarterfinals are tonight! Like I'm not totes super psyched to see that!?
Don laughs.
Don McMichael: Indeed. At least one nice thing came out of last week's events; you're once again the #1 Contender for the BWF International Championship.
Sabrina Scott: Totes, and I'm even MORE super psyched for that! I've lost two straight matches to Jay. I can't let myself lose a third.
Don McMichael: Do you consider this something of a "last chance" for the International Title?
Sabrina Scott: Well, I certainly have to admit that I don't think I'll deserve another shot for some time if I had three straight matches against the guy just to lose. There's a long line of contenders and I'm proud to be at the top of that list, but I know I won't stay there if I can't get it done when it counts. I have nothing but respect for Jay, especially after how he helped me last week, but I won't let that stop me from regaining the International Championship in Los Angeles.
Don McMichael: Speaking of Los Angeles, many local fans readying themselves for Happenstance have been asking about the status of their homegrown hero, AJ Adams. Unfortunately, he's been on radio silence since his loss to Allen Chaney back at Hearts on Fire. I understand you and AJ have spent some time together outside of the ring... I don't suppose you might have an update for us? Might we see AJ Adams in a week come Happenstance?
Sabrina fidgets uncomfortably, unable to make eye contact with Don.
Sabrina Scott: I, um... y'know, I... I guess... probably not. I can't go into any detail, Donnie, I hope you understand, but... I don't know. I truly don't know.
Don McMichael: You don't know if he'll appear next week at Happenstance?
Sabrina Scott: I don't know if he's ever gonna wrestle again, Don!
Almost immediately, Sabrina clasps her hand over her mouth as the crowd gasps and boos.
Sabrina Scott: I shouldn't have... um... yyyyeah. I'm gonna go, Donnie. Nice talk! See you later!
Sabrina quickly and uncomfortably slides out of view as Don stammers, still dumbfounded at the surprising answer Sabrina just gave him. Don is at a loss for words as Havok heads to commercial.
The bell sounded as Havoc and Biafra lock up to start the match. Havoc landed a hard knife edge chop across the chest of Biafra to start things. Biafra pushed Havoc and spears him into the corner and started to chop back at Havoc. Havoc grabbed Biafra by the neck and spun him into the corner and started to land forearm shots to the head. Biafra threw his arms up to block the shots and and started to battle out with hard lefts and rights. Havoc started to battle back with his own left and rights before hitting a hard elbow to the side of the head of Biafra. Biafra fell backwards into the ropes and hit the Instant Karma (Rebound Lariat) and covered for only two. Biafra pulled Havoc to his feet and hit a snap suplex. Havoc rolled to his feet and hit a kick to the gut and hooked the leg of Biafra and hit a cradle DDT. Havoc jumped to the second ropes and hit a splash and covered for two. Biafra got to his feet and walked into a snapmare and hard soccer style kick to the back. Havoc measured Biafra as he was slow to stand and set up for a powerbomb. Havoc looked to powerbomb Biafra into the corner but Biafra started to viciously hit Havoc in the head and came crashing down on top of him and hooked a leg for two. Biafra was to his feet as Havoc stood. Havoc ducked a clothesline and looked for the Disaster Stroke (Clothesline from Hell) as he went off the far ropes and made his way back but ran right into the Quickiller (Spinning Backfist). Biafra let out his roar as Havoc staggered slowly to his feet. Biafra grabbed Havoc and hit the Full Moon Special (Jumping Package Piledriver) and covered for the win.
WINNER: Van Biafra, via pinfall 11:31
Biafra looks down at the fallen Havoc before looking out to the crowd as he gets one step closer to Happenstance. Rayne says Biafra could be the favorite to win things next week and looks focused.
We’re set for tonight’s main event as Simonova awaited the entrance of Chaney who made it to the ring littered with boos. Chaney holds the BWF World Title high in front of Simonova before handing it off. The two share a few words before Chaney rocked Simonova to the mat with a hard right hand. Simonova got back to her feet, jumped up, and caught Chaney with a monkey flip. Simonova pulled Chaney up and smacked him in the gut with a hard kick that was followed by an elbow to the back of the head. Simonova started to set Chaney up for a DDT but Chaney reversed into a northern lights suplex and bridged but only got a two fall. Chaney pulled Simonova quickly and popped her with a bionic elbow that made her fall to the mat on her butt. Chaney kicked Simonova in the shoulder to force her to her back before running off the ropes and jumped, hitting a running senton. Chaney covered for another two before Simonova kicked out. She battled to her feet with hard lefts and rights before hitting a knee to the gut. She hit calculating lefts and rights on Chaney before hitting a bulldog in the center of the ring. Simonova hit the ropes and hit the Hammer and Sickle (Running double axe handle followed by buzzsaw kick) combo. Simonova covered and picked up a two count before Chaney kicked out. Simonova was to the top of the ropes and looked for the KGB (Dragonrana) but Chaney drove her into the mat with a hard powerbomb. Chaney covered but Simonova somehow kicked out at two. Chaney begged her to get to her feet as he stalked her around the ring. Simonova was to her feet and was hit with a kick to the gut that was followed by the Set Up (Double Arm DDT). Chaney called for the Punchline but before Simonova got to her feet he was attacked from behind by Gabe Shelley. Shelley caught Chaney with the Fallout (Zig Zag) and the referee called for the bell.
WINNER: Allen Chaney, via DQ 13:15
Shelley was all over Chaney as he pumped his fist to the delight of the crowd. Shelley turned and walked right into the Reverse Psychology (C4) from Simonova. Simonova yells something at the fallen Shelley before turning around and getting scooped up by Chaney for the Set Up. Chaney grabs his title and bails out of the ring before turning back towards Simonova and Shelley as they come to and screams “The Punchline is coming at Happenstance!” as Webb and Rayne thank us for tuning in. We get one last shot of Chaney holding the BWF World Championship in his hands as we fade to black, logo, black.

Feel the Burn

Karli walks through the back, as if looking for something.
Karli: Ah, here we are.

Karli douses the dress with the alcohol, strikes a match, and lights Rune's dress on fire. Rune collapses in the ring, screaming in rage and pounding her fists on the mat as the dress continues to burn on the screen.
