WrestleFest VIII - December 31, 2014
The BWF logo flashes across the screen and "Trailblazing" by Steve Jablonsky begins playing over a black and white image from the very first WrestleFest main event. X has Brian Fenris in the Straight Jacket and, as the special referee, the late Nightmare, watches, Fenris taps out.
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner... and the NEW BWF World Champion... X!!!
The scene then shifts to the main event of WrestleFest II, as the BWF and World Heavyweight Champions, "Ice" Hensley and Toco, battle over the right to call themselves the Undisputed BWF World Champion. Toco goes for a To-Cutter, but Hensley reverses it into his sit-down chokeslam driver for the win.
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner... and the UNDISPUTED BWF World Champion... "ICE" HENSLEY!!!
From there, we shift to WrestleFest III, where Captain Marticus, The Legend and Mark McNasty clashed over Legend's World Heavyweight Title. As special referee Chamelion counted the three, Captain Marticus stood victorious, cradling his first World Championship.
Scott Benjamin: ...and the NEW World Heavyweight Champion... CAPTAIN MARTICUS!!!
A fast fade to WrestleFest IV, where the year-long build-up between The Executioner and The Legend ended with Legend hitting The Requiem and winning, thus far, the only non-title WrestleFest main event in history.
Scott Benjamin: ...your winner... THE LEGEND!!!
WrestleFest V, Chamelion hitting Mark McNasty with the Sweet Sound of Success Superkick and scoring the pin, becoming the only man in BWF history to hold the BWF World and International Titles at the same time.
Scott Benjamin: ...NEW BWF World Champion... CHAMELION!!!
WrestleFest VI, Emily Corlen sitting in the ring, cradling her very first World Title. David Blazenwing on the stage, an immediate rematch is granted; Gabe Shelley with The reVolt on Corlen to regain the title he lost moments earlier.
Scott Benjamin: ...NEW BWF World Champion... EMILY CORLEN... NEW... GABE SHELLEY!!!
WrestleFest VII; Elena Simonova, Outlaw and AJ Adams clash to unify the Havok and Crisis World Titles. Elena hits Outlaw with the Reverse Psychology C4 as a pregnant Emily Corlen counts the three in lieu of the downed referee.
Scott Benjamin: Your winner... and the NEW Undisputed BWF World Champion... ELENA... SIMONOVA!!!
From there, the black and white fades, and a new song kicks in - "Make a Move" by Icon For Hire.
Somebody make a move
Somebody make a move

The final shot settles on Emily Corlen and Elena Simonova, staring one another down, the BWF World Championship floating behind them. The image slowly fades to black; their eyes are the last parts of the image to fade out.
Announcer: And now, the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation, in association with Wembley Stadium in London, England, presents... WRESTLEFEST VIII!!!
The camera cuts from the intro to the massive, sold out stadium in London, where a massive pyro show goes off on the stage and all the way to the ring, going on several seconds longer than normal. After the pyro show ends, the camera zooms around the ring, highlighting the many fans in attendance before finally settling on the BWF announce team of Nick Webb and Rayne.
Nick Webb: WELCOME EVERYONE, ONE AND ALL, TO WRESTLEFEST VIII! The BWF's biggest show of the year has arrived, Rayne, and while it may also be our last, there's no doubt in my mind that the Blazenwing Wrestling Federation is about to go out with a major BANG!
Rayne: Every BWF Championship is on the line one final time tonight, Nick, plus other professional rivalries will come to a close on the grandest stage in professional wrestling. It all ends here, Nick, but what a ride it was!
Not So Fast
HOLD ON TIGHT, YOU KNOW SHE'S A LITTLE BIT DANGEROUS
Nick Webb: Hang on here! Isn't that...
Rayne: It IS! Former BWF C.E.O. Jen Corlen is here to send BWF off in style!
"Dangerous" by Roxette hits the BlazenTron and, indeed, Jen Corlen has walked out onto the stage to a nice sized pop from the London crowd.
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, at this time, please welcome the NEW BWF C.E.O.... JEN CORLEN!!!
Nick Webb: The WHAT?
Rayne: New C.E.O.? Since when!?
The crowd pops louder at the announcement as Jen makes her way down the ramp, waving to fans and smiling. A ringside tech holds the ropes open and Jen enters the ring, waving as the music fades. The same tech hands her a mic and the crowd grows quiet.
Jen Corlen: Hello, London!
A loud pop from the English fans in attendance.
Jen Corlen: Eight WrestleFests... can you believe it? I still remember being backstage at the very first WrestleFest eleven years ago tonight. Don't, uh, bother doing the math on that, by the way. You'll only hurt yourself.
She smirks before continuing.
Jen Corlen: First off, you heard Scott Benjamin correctly - I am the new BWF C.E.O. effective, well, since last month's Gauntlet Run pay-per-view. You see, back in 2005, my ex-husband, David Slayton, known then as David Blazenwing, was the BWF Owner. He began a feud with BWF World Champion The Executioner that culminated in David becoming the Champion through nefarious means.
A short clip plays from Over The Edge 2005, where D-Blaze powerbombs Executioner on a steel chair en route to becoming the new Champion.
Jen Corlen: The problem was, as Owner and Champion, the man was unstoppable. So, a failsafe was added to his contract; the moment David became the Champion, his authority was stripped, to be returned at the C.E.O.'s discretion following the loss of said title. What my dear sister Emily didn't know, because she never reads contracts, I swear to god, is that the very same failsafe was cooked into her contract. If she used her power for illegitimate gain, her position would default to the previous C.E.O. - me.
The crowd pops loudly at the revelation that Emily Corlen is legitimately no longer the C.E.O. of the BWF.
Jen Corlen: Now, it was my decision, as the new C.E.O., to close the BWF.
Loud boos fill the arena.
Jen Corlen: Don't blame me... I'm running a business down in Florida. My entire family is down there; no offense, but I don't have the time, the means or the resources to run a wrestling company full-time again. And clearly, Emily can't be trusted to do the job properly. Closing BWF was the only option that I had.
A brief pause.
Jen Corlen: ...or so I thought, until just a few days ago.
The crowd quiets, a glimmer of hope now hovering before them.
Jen Corlen: A third party, who shall remain nameless for the time being, approached me with an offer to purchase majority stock in the company and take it off of my hands. The BWF would continue on into 2015 and beyond, for the first time ever, without a Slayton or a Corlen at the helm. Or, y'know, a Fitzsimmons, a Shelley or a Mason.
Another pause.
Jen Corlen: I shook their hand. The deal is done. BWF lives.
The loudest pop of the night thus far rattles the entire stadium at the announcement.
Nick Webb: What!? Really?!
Rayne: THAT'S AWESOME!
Jen Corlen: There are still a few details to hash out, and an official contract has to be drafted. But as of right now, the new mystery buyer is projecting that BWF will resume operations in just a few short weeks. They've made it their personal goal to see BWF back on television before the end of January. They've even gone ahead and booked the arena in Buffalo, New York for January 30 - you'll see the first airing of that pay-per-view promo later tonight. That's all the information I have right now... but much more will be coming soon, I assure you. So right now, kick back, put up your signs and get ready for the biggest WrestleFest yet! Have fun, London!
"Dangerous" by Roxette starts playing again and Jen smiles before leaving the ring and heading up the ramp.
Nick Webb: Wow! What a way to kick off WrestleFest! We started the show thinking tonight was going to be BWF's final event, but hello swerve! We're coming back with new ownership!
Rayne: Wonder who the new owner will be. Maybe Matt Stone? Ooh! Rob Robinson!
Nick Webb: I'm pretty sure Emily Corlen would burn the arena down if that were the case.
Rayne: Ha, good point. Well, whoever it is, I hope BWF's in good hands going forward. This "will they won't they" closing talk didn't do my acid reflux any favors!
Nick Webb: Mine either, buddy. Folks, it's time for our opening contest... let's decide the fate of the Sovereign Championship!
After everyone's super awesome entrance (tears were shed, beds were wet, bands were paid hefty royalty checks) our Sovereign Title match is underway. Rune is notably absent from ringside.
There is a lot of offense getting thrown around from all sides and it's all as impressive as it is hard to follow all at once. This goes on for a while and the excitement almost exhausts the audience.
Eventually, Akemi goes for a cover after hitting Jay Blazenwing with the Hoodie Archetype (Standing Sitout Shiranui). Fenryr breaks up the pin and now Akemi is shouting at the referee in German (which she apparently speaks fluently but the referee does not). J-Blaze attempts a quick roll-up but Akemi kicks out quickly and is now screaming obscenities in French.
Chris tosses Akemi out of the ring but turns around to get locked in a suplex clutch by Fenryr. Fenryr utterly destroys Chris with the Oathbreaker (Vertical Suplex Piledriver) and the ref lowers to the ground to count the pin before Fenryr even attempts the pin. That turns out to be rather presumptuous on the part of the referee as before Fenryr can drop for the pin, Jay Blazenwing comes seemingly out of fucking NOWHERE and nails Fenryr with The Blazenwing (discus elbow) and sends both of them tumbling out of the ring. It seems to be a good night for coming out of fucking NOWHERE because at this point Van Biafra appears out of the motherflipping aether to nail poor Chris Maverick with the Napalm Elbow Drop (Springboard Diving Elbow Drop).

WINNER AND NEW BWF SOVEREIGN CHAMPION: Van Biafra, via Pinfall [9:16]
"White Flag Riot" by Odonis Odonis plays and the crowd cheers as Van Biafra is handed the Soveriegn Title. He raises it high for the whole crowd to see and turns around to find himself eye-to-eye with Fenryr who looks calm but has bad intentions in his eyes. This cuts the cheering and the music short as the two are face to face. "You wanna g-" is all that Van manages to say before the Icelandic brawler pops him a good shot upside the head and nails him with a Double Underhook Powerbomb. The audience boos as Fenryr picks up the Sovereign Title and looks at it for a moment before draping it on top of our new champion.
Rayne: Serves him right for taking Fenryr's belt.
Nick Webb: Well, it's clear that we'll be seeing those two clash again at some point, Rayne.
Rayne: Oh yeah, I bet Biafra can't wait.
Nick Webb: I'm just so happy that they'll get the opportunity to!
The battle royal begins fast and furiously, so much so that Vin Diesel probably regrets turning down the offer to appear. Bodies go flying quickly, leaving just three individuals standing after only two minutes; Hardcore Mike and Stone of The Ultimates and The Crimson Ghost.
Nick Webb: I don't like the Ghost's chances here, Rayne.
Rayne: Neither do I! He's about to go from London to New California! HA!
Hardcore Mike and Stone begin double teaming Crimson Ghost, trying their best to eliminate the masked man, but the Red Devil refuses to acquiesce, fighting back against the odds. Still, eventually, the numbers game catches up with the Ghost, leaving him weakened and ripe for elimination. Stone goes to toss the Ghost over, but Mike stops him, instead pointing to the corner.
Rayne: I called it! We're about to see the greatest tag team move in the business, Nick!
Hardcore Mike hoists the Crimson Ghost onto the top rope in the corner, then climbs up, preparing to hoist the Ghost up for the piledriver portion of New California. At the last second, though, Crimson Ghost reveals that he's been playing possum, as he shoves Mike hard, sending him tumbling off the top rope and to the floor! The Ghost hops down into the ring as Stone charges him, enraged, but the Ghost sees him coming, grabbing Stone and using his own momentum to lob him over the top rope, leaving him to land unceremoniously on top of his own partner!
WINNER: The Crimson Ghost [5:45]
"Scream" by The Misfits begins to play as the arena goes red. Crimson Ghost stands in the center of the ring, holding his arm up in triumph, before lifting his mask just over his mouth and spitting a red mist high into the air.
Nick Webb: What a creepy guy, Rayne. The Crimson Ghost, your winner of the No Tomorrow Battle Royal.
Rayne: I'm surprised they didn't rename it, considering there is a tomorrow, after all.
Nick Webb: True that. Maybe Crimson Ghost will get some sort of reward for winning this thing, once the new owners are in power, huh?
Rayne: Can his reward be in another arena? Buhh! What a freak!
Hat Trick
We fade to the backstage area as we see Austin Scott walking up to a locker room door. He knocks and a voice inside says to come in. Scott opens the door and we see Zoe Cooper getting ready for her match tonight. The two smile at each other as she stands to greet him with a kiss on the cheek. He hands her some flowers that were tucked behind his back.
Zoe Cooper: Oh, Austin.
Austin Scott: Good luck tonight. I had a heck of time gettin’ those flowers. I don’t fit in too much with these folk. Let’s just say my hat stands out a lil bit.
Zoe reaches up and takes off Austin’s cowboy hat and puts it on. She takes the flowers and lays them on the bench beside her stuff and finishes lacing her boots.
Zoe Cooper: I’m sure they thought you were as cute as I do. After tonight we’ll go out and celebrate. I have something that I want to ask you later anyway.
She blushes and smiles as she wraps her arms around Austin.
Zoe Cooper: I need to get going.
She starts to leave but Austin stops her.
Austin Scott: Takin’ my hat too are ya?
Zoe Cooper: For good luck.
She winks and heads out the door.
The match begins with all six participants in this Tag Team Title Match going to war with one another. The Justicars of Illium double team Allen Chaney of The Rejects, while Omen IV and Kristy Jackson gang up on Spyke Gein. Both Allen and Spyke find themselves dumped on the outside of the ring, and the moment that occurs, the Justicars and Kristy/Omen start fighting amongst one another.
Nick Webb: Looks like these four have emphatically decided that The Rejects are not welcome in this contest!
Rayne: Only because they're the real best BWF tag team in this match!
As the brawl continues, the match follows The Rejects to the outside, where Allen and Spyke are waiting. The Justicars and Kristy are fighting as Omen prepares to launch himself over the ropes into the chaos, but Allen slides back into the ring, takes down Omen with a huge clothesline, then lifts the masked luchador up and lobs him over the ropes into the group below, shouting "Allow me!" The crowd boos as Spyke lifts Omen back up and rolls him back into the ring, where Allen covers him but only gets a two count.
Nick Webb: Almost had new Tag Champs there!
The match continues on, with The Rejects mostly in control of the proceedings after their auspicious start. Each team scores nearfalls, with the pin being broken up by someone else every time. After Kristy hits Spyke with the Final Assault (Superman Punch, with theatrics), she goes for the pin, only to get caught by the Surface of Revolution (Corkscrew Neckbreaker) from Alison. Alison immediately gets grabbed by Allen, who hits his former "little sis" with THE PUNCHLINE (Package Piledriver), but Allen's joy is short lived as Omen IV comes from the apron and catches him with the Springboard Backflip into an Inverted DDT.
Rayne: Where the hell did Omen come from?! Don't tell me that masked lunatic is going to win this!
Nick Webb: No, look!
Omen starts to for the corner to finish the match, but Destiny charges him, hitting him with The Tony Jaa (Flying Knee Bash, an old finisher of her brother's) before hitting the ropes and landing her Destiny Hammer (Corkscrew Scissor Kick) on Omen's partner, Kristy, who was just starting to rise. She cracks a stirring Spyke with a buzzsaw kick, then quickly covers Kristy. Allen starts to come to and dives, but not quickly enough to break up the pin, as Destiny scores the three count!
WINNERS AND STILL BWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: The Justicars of Illium, via Pinfall [10:52]
"M4 (Part II)" by Faunts plays over the BlazenTron as Destiny helps a still groggy Alison to her feet and hands off her Tag Team Title. Kristy and Omen roll out of the ring as the Justicars celebrate their win on the biggest stage in BWF.
Nick Webb: And once again, the Justicars of Illium have pulled out the win against all odds!
Rayne: Dammit, why can't The Rejects catch a break against these bimbos?
The music cuts out as Destiny and Alison turn around in the ring and find Allen and Spyke standing in their path. Allen looks at Spyke, then steps forward and says something inaudibly to the girls. He reaches forward and taps the title over Alison's shoulder, then nods before extending a hand to the youngest James sister. Alison pauses, thinking it over, but finally returns Allen's handshake. It's a cold handshake, certainly, but a start nevertheless. Destiny similarly shakes Spyke's hand and the ladies return to celebrating their win as The Rejects exit the ring, content to fight another day.
Rayne: Well, that explains a lot. The Rejects are going soft!
Nick Webb: Come on, Rayne. The Justicars have had an excellent run as Champions, and that was The Rejects showing them a modicum of respect. Nothing more, nothing less.
Suddenly, the BlazenTron comes to life, showing nothing but static. The girls turn to the Tron, confused, as the static continues for several moments. Finally, the static cuts back out and their song kicks in again like nothing happened. Destiny and Alison shrug, then continue celebrating as WrestleFest fades out to a BWF ShopZone ad.
Nick Webb: Coming up next we have a very heated match Rayne.
Rayne: I'm getting hot just thinking about it!
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for ONE fall! Introducing first, she hails from Kingston, Ontario, Canada... weighing in at 122 pounds... she is The First Lady of the BWF... she is ELIZABETH DAVIS!!!
Used to be your baby, used to be your lady
Thought you were the perfect lover
All the harmony went fallin' out of key, so
Now you gotta find another
Now you're talkin' crazy, sayin' that you made me
Like I was your Cinderella
You and me are through though, watch me hit it solo
I'mma do it acapella, yeah
"Acapella" by Karmen plays throughout the arena as Liz Davis makes her way out to the ring. She flips her hair back as she brushes past the fans cheering for their favorite wrestlers, not her. Walking up the steps, she gets in the ring under the middle rope, walking around the ring, waving to the crowd despite their reaction.
Nick Webb: Elizabeth looks ready to end the new year on a positive note tonight Rayne, but she has a tall order ahead of her in the form of the previously undefeated Zoe Cooper.
Rayne: Key word being previously there, Nick. Zoe was unstoppable until she was, well, stopped, but now that she’s showed a crack in the armor, Lizzy will be able to take full advantage.
Scott Benjamin: And her opponent... she hails from Billings, Montana... weighing in at 140 pounds... she is The Promise Keeper... she is ZOE COOPER!!!
"Happy" by Pharrell Williams starts playing in the arena and the fans rise to their feet cheering as Zoe Cooper walks onto the stage and points out at the fans.
It might seem crazy what I’m about to say
Sunshine she’s here, you can take a break
I’m a hot air balloon that could go to space
With the air, like I don’t care baby by the way
Zoe walks down the ramp, taking a pause to high five a few kids sitting along the ramp in the crowd. She reaches the ring and walks around it once, high fiving more kids as she goes.
Because I’m happy
Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof
Because I’m happy
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
After Zoe finishes her trip around the ring, she walks up the steps and climbs the nearest corner, pointing out to the fans again and smiling. She climbs over the top rope and jumps down into the ring, then leans against the corner.
Because I’m happy
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you
Because I’m happy
Clap along if you feel like that’s what you wanna do
The song starts to fade as Zoe walks out to the middle of the ring and points at the crowd with both hands.
DING!
The ref calls for the bell, but neither woman leaves their corner, as Elizabeth has decided to open up with a flurry of obscenities and rather lewd gestures directed right at Zoe. For the perky blonde’s part, she’s more or less brushing it off, rolling her eyes as she does so. Finally, Zoe’s had enough, and with a “come on!” gesture to her opponent, she leaves her corner towards the middle of the ring- and falls flat on her face, tripping over Liz’s foot with a baseball slide.
Nick Webb: … What was that?
Rayne: Lizzy’s jawing was annoying to be sure, but it looks like it was serving a far more insidious purpose!
Elizabeth laughs shrilly as Zoe faceplants, mocking Cooper’s ‘clumsiness’. Zoe tries to push herself up, but Elizabeth stomps down on her head, hard, forcing Zoe back down to the mat. Elizabeth stomps away viciously, jumping occasionally to add extra pain and humiliation. After a couple more stomps, Elizabeth turns away, mocking the crowd, which roundly jeer her.
Rayne: Well, it certainly looks like Elizabeth’s settling in right where she left off with her rampant arrogance.
Nick Webb: … Yeah. I don’t think absence made HER grow fonder for any of her colleagues… or any sense of basic human decency, either.
Elizabeth finishes her diatribe with a mock wave to the entire crowd, and turns back to Cooper, who’s again trying to claw her way to her feet. As she bends over to grab Zoe, the former BWF World Champion rises up quickly, her shoulder catching Elizabeth in the stomach. Zoe keeps rising, hoisting Elizabeth up and dropping her down with a spinebuster!
Nick Webb: And that’s just ONE reason why taking valuable time to taunt the crowd is such a STUPID idea!
Rayne: Elizabeth’s ego got the best of her, and now it’s Zoe who is wailing away.
With fists, not kicks, as Zoe’s more or less gone full MMA on Elizabeth with ground and pound punches raining down. Elizabeth squirms and tries to block, then bucks her hips, managing to roll Zoe off of her. Both women quickly rise, but Zoe leaps from practically her knees, catching Elizabeth in the face with a dropkick, and sending her crashing to the mat!
Rayne: I think Zoe is a bit less than impressed with the treatment she’s received thus far from Elizabeth.
Nick Webb: Well, this is bad news for Davis, because I guarantee you that Zoe’s going to have a much easier time staying focused on the match and not frivolous mockery.
Elizabeth rolls to her feet, going into the ropes in her effort to put as much distance between her and the fired up Zoe as she can. But Zoe’s already moving, and she springboards off the bottom rope, spinning in midair, and cracking Elizabeth in the head with an enziguri. The Canadian doesn’t go down, however, but staggers across the corner to the adjacent ropes, going down to her knees. Zoe quickly grabs her, jerks her to her feet, and drives her into the mat with a jumping DDT!
Nick Webb: Quick, hard hitting combo by Zoe there, and there’s a cover!
ONE!
TWO!
TH-
Rayne: Elizabeth kicks out, and keeps this match going!
Zoe doesn’t seem fazed by Elizabeth’s kickout, and immediately locks on an armbar. With Elizabeth gritting her teeth in pain from the hold, Zoe jerks her to her feet. With a backspin, she transitions the hold from an armbar to a headlock, and goes for a DDT, but Elizabeth blocks it. A second attempt is blocked, and Elizabeth hoists her up for a suplex, but can’t find the leverage to get Cooper all the way over, and is forced to lower her. As Zoe drops down, though, she manages to catch her feet on the middle rope, springboarding off, and driving Elizabeth’s head in with a bulldog!
Rayne: What a clever counter of a counter by Zoe! And there’s another cover!
ONE!
TWO!
THRE-
Nick Webb: Elizabeth kicks out again, but you can tell she’s being worn down by Cooper’s effective offense.
Elizabeth looks gassed as she pops the shoulder up, needing to take a breather. But Zoe wisely doesn’t give her one, again, pulling Elizabeth to her feet- only this time as she does, Elizabeth plows her head forward, right into Cooper’s face. Cooper spins around one eighty, falling to her knees, her hands over her face in agony, as Elizabeth plops down on her butt, finally having a few seconds to breathe.
Nick Webb: Brutal move there… Cooper’s going to be lucky if her nose isn’t broken.
Rayne: I’m not sure if it will be… but I bet she’s going to be having blurry vision after that shot!
Indeed, Cooper’s eyes are streaming from the blow, and she’s doing her best to clear both her vision and her sinuses. She runs out of time, however, as Elizabeth finally sucks down enough oxygen to go on the offensive (in more ways than one), planting her foot squarely on Cooper’s back, and jerking both her arms behind her, in a surfboard.
Rayne: Elizabeth’s taken back control here, and she’s really making Cooper suffer with this.
Nick Webb: Surfboards are always an effective hold, and here it’s doubly so- Cooper was kneeling, and now her legs are folded under her. She really has no leverage to attempt an escape here, and if Elizabeth keeps the hold applied long enough, she runs the risk of her legs falling asleep. It sounds funny… but it’s really a bad situation to be in when you’re in the middle of a competitive wrestling match.
The referee is in Zoe’s face, asking her if she wants to quit, but Zoe refuses, shaking her head violently, even as she lets out a cry of pain. Elizabeth loosens the hold slightly, Cooper slumping forward, panting in relief-only to find out that Elizabeth was just repositioning her foot for better torque, and again the hold is reapplied in full force.
Nick Webb: Cooper’s in big trouble here, Rayne. I’ve always been surprised at how few matches the surfboard ends, considering its effectiveness. And the only way she’s getting out of this is either if Elizabeth runs out of patience or energy.
Rayne: She’s gamely hanging in there, though. But Elizabeth’s got a textbook hold there, and Cooper’s at her mercy.
Fortunately, it’s not too long until that “mercy” comes, and Elizabeth releases the hold- as she does, she thrusts her own self forward, her foot riding Cooper down, the extra weight slamming Zoe face first into the mat with even greater force!
Rayne: A bit of a curbstomp there, and Cooper’s lifeless.
Nick Webb: That’s such a vicious move- you get almost the same force and impact as a DDT, but without expending any energy to lift.
Elizabeth again takes several seconds to taunt the fans, then kicks Zoe over onto her back, cockily putting her foot on her chest and posing, as the referee dives to count the pin.
Nick Webb: Okay, that’s just being stupidly arrogant. Either you go for a proper fall, or you keep up the attack. You don’t need to resort to this.
ONE!
TWO-
Rayne: No shock at all that Cooper rolled the shoulder- not a textbook cover at all there.
Elizabeth looks at the ref in mock-surprise that she didn’t get the win, and argues with him. As she does, she shifts her foot subtly, so that it’s coming down on Zoe’s throat, choking her. Zoe kicks and writhes as the ref fails to notice, focusing instead on explaining to Elizabeth what a two count means!
Rayne: Elizabeth pulling a distraction ploy here, and it’s working like a charm!
Nick Webb: Oh, come on! You can’t let her do this! This is disgraceful!
However the referee, annoyed with Elizabeth’s shrill protests, just happens to look down, and discovers that he’s being duped. Thunderous he engages the five count, nearly using the entire bit up before Davis roughly releases the hold! Fisk gives her an earful, but Elizabeth pays little attention, instead dropping an elbow across Zoe’s throat, and strangling Zoe again, this time glaring at him and daring him to count- which he does, of course, again getting to four.
Nick Webb: I appreciate that refs try to keep the match going, but I think there’s a time where they just have to say enough’s enough and end things before they get too stupid… we’re kind of closing in on that time.
Rayne: Elizabeth’s been utterly shameless tonight! Of course, she’s normally utterly shameless…
Once again the ref is giving Elizabeth the riot act, but it’s falling on deaf ears, and Davis grabs Zoe, forcing her to her feet. Zoe immediately comes alive, with shots to the midsection, driving, Elizabeth back. She then scoops Elizabeth up in a fireman’s carry, dropping her, and rolling away, buying herself time.
Rayne: Zoe’s broken Davis’s advantage, but she’s got to recover herself too, Elizabeth did a number on her.
Nick Webb: Still, as long as she’s in this match, she’s got a fighting chance! And once you’re free of Elizabeth’s machinations, things have to get easier.
Zoe takes several long seconds getting to her feet, as she’s sucking in air, and shaking out her sore limbs. But Elizabeth’s getting to her feet as well, and she quickly moves in to catch Zoe before she can get full vertical base. But Zoe’s quick, and suddenly- before Elizabeth can react at all… Zoe rolls behind Davis who’s quick enough to react, spinning on her heel only to be caught in the midsection by a vicious spear!
Nick Webb: Revolutions Per Minute! Elizabeth over pursued and PAID for it!
Rayne: That looked like it knocked the wind right out of Lizzy! And this could be it!
ONE!
TWO!
THREE!-eh
Nick Webb: OH FOR GODS SAKES!
Elizabeth’s shoulder jerks up, but the count was already broken off, the ref rising to confront Katrina, who’s jumped up onto the apron. They begin arguing, with Fisk ordering Katrina down, while Katrina’s protesting Zoe’s “fake blonde hair”. Zoe, annoyed rises to her feet to rectify the situation, but seems reluctant to either scream at the stripped man or confront Katrina, and instead looks a bit uncertain.
Rayne: Katrina’s running a distraction here, but I’m not sure Liz needed it!
Nick Webb: She’s needed it every time before… but Cooper can’t lose focus here! She’s gotta stay on Elizabeth!
As Zoe continues to watch the argument, flustered, Elizabeth rises behind her, and shoves her at the ref!. With a squawk of protest, Zoe staggers into the ref, who in turn lurches forward into Katrina, who’s knocked back off the apron, Katrina falls off the apron, landing painfully. Elizabeth’s lost the plot, screaming every single insult she can think of at the ref, who she obviously blames for the fact that Katrina’s flat on her back despite the fact that it was her in the first place that started the chain reaction. So intent on screaming at him, she doesn’t know Zoe’s behind her until she’s spun around and slammed to the mat!
Nick Webb: Candy Crush! Zoe’s going for the cover!
ONE!
TWO!
THRE-
Rayne: NO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Elizabeth kicks out by the skin of her teeth.
Nick Webb: Teeth don’t have skin Rayne, but that was the closest near fall I’ve seen in some time.
Zoe seems a little disheveled over Liz kicking out, but she stays on her, lifting her up to her feet, but Davis pushes her off towards the ropes, Zoe rebounding and driving her forearm into the side of Liz’s head. Davis takes a step back, shaking her head to try and clear the cobwebs as Zoe hits the ropes again, once again driving her forearm into the side of Liz’s head! Davis backs up against the opposite ropes, her eyes looking glazed over the blow. She takes a step off the ropes as Zoe runs backwards again, hitting the ropes and coming back with her The Face Replacer (Running Bryan-Style Knee)!! The crowd erupts as Liz hits the mat, arms spread out. Cooper hooks her outside leg…

DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner... ZOE COOPER!!!
WINNER: Zoe Cooper, via Pinfall [21:12]
The bell rings and Zoe gets off Liz, taking a deep breath to compose herself as her theme begins to play to the applause of the crowd.
Nick Webb: She did it! Zoe is back on track to regain what was stolen from her last month!
Rayne: Yeah, yeah, good for her, I should go check on Liz-
Nick Webb: WILL YOU SIT DOWN! Congratulations go out to Zoe Cooper for her impressive win here tonight.
Cooper rolls out of the ring, holding her hand high in the air before slapping a few fans' hands on the way up the ramp.
Turning the Page
Static starts to fill the screen on the BlazenTron as “Bad Guy” by 3OH!3 plays and finally cuts out as “The Awesome Adams Show” comes across and the fans begin to boo as we see AJ Adams come into view somewhere in the backstage area.
AJ Adams: Tonight is a special edition of the Awesome Adams Show as we’re here at WrestleFest, on the verge of a showdown. There in that very ring the legacy of AJ Adams continues as I go one on one with the greatest BWF star of all time, Gabe Shelley.
The fans cheer at Shelley’s name but Adams keeps going.
AJ Adams: The only thing on the line might appear to be bragging rights but something so much more is at work. For years Gabe Shelley has been one of the best in that ring when it comes to BWF. This company wouldn’t be where it is now without support that Gabe gave it. Tonight though is about proving I’m better. It’s about proving to everyone that said I wouldn’t ever make it to this point was wrong. One of those people is here tonight. Gabe Shelley.
There’s a hush as Adams pauses.
AJ Adams: Five years ago I met Gabe Shelley because he was a road agent for TGW. He helped a lot of the newer talent that was coming in, worked as a scout, and advisor to Wade Mason. Wade brought me in seeing raw talent from a kid working basement shows from a few hundred people. He gave me a tryout and part of that process was a quick workout match with Gabe. At the end of the day Gabe told Wade that I would never amount to anything. If he kept me around he’d be getting a low to mid-level guy. Wade signed me anyway and I have since proven Gabe wrong. I rose to the top of TGW, I sat at the top of BWF, I conquered Hellbound!
AJ Adams: Now, once I beat Gabe, I’ll be the greatest. To be number one you have to beat number one. For every Gabe Shelley story it all ends tonight. The page turns on the Gabe Shelley era here in BWF because it’s time for me to show the world that it’s my time.
Adams puts his hand over the lens as we fade away.
Entrances. They happen. They are rad.
The bell rings and the veteran Jonathan Cage rolls out of the ring to escape the other five combatants attacking each other at once, but Austin rolls out of the ring shortly after and levels Cage outside the ring with a Straight Whiskey (Running Lariat). Austin and Cage start fighting all over the outside of the ring. This goes on for a while.
Meanwhile, inside the ring. Mike Mox is trading grapples with Sabrina Scott and neither seem to be able to get the upper hand but it makes for an impressive display until Mox is able to hit Sabrina with a Mike Mox Stunner and the crowd is not fond of that. Alex Richards and Alli Taylor exchange strikes and throws. It goes on like this for a while.
After said 'while' Austin Scott re-enters the ring and tosses Alli Taylor out to the canvas after she hit Richards with the Lipstick (Superkick). Austin locks Richards in the Lock 'Em Up (Rings of Saturn) right in the center of the ring but it looks like Mox is trying to fight the effects of the hold. This would keep everyone's attention if not for Sabrina didn't choose this moment to wreck Mike Mox with the Pocketful of Sunshine (Lungblower Backbreaker to back of opponent's head). With Mike out on the ground, Sabrina quickly leaps to the top rope and loudly and happily announces '20% Cooler!' to the audience before coming down hard on Mox with a Sonic Rainboom (Corkscrew Shooting Star Press). She makes the cover on Mox as she lands as Richards raises his hand. Jonathan Cage stirs to try and break up the pin but...

DING DING DING!!!
There is, of course, immediate confusion as no one is sure which Scott got the victory, only that one of them did. The official confers with another who was watching backstage, then walks over and whispers to Scott Benjamin. Scott (it's a Scott fest!) nods and holds up the mic.
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen... your winner and the NEW BWF International Champion... SABRINA SCOTT!!!
WINNER AND NEW BWF INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION: Sabrina Scott, via Pinfall [13:17]
"Awesome as I Wanna Be" by Ashleigh Ball begins playing to signify the victory of Sabrina Scott. The bubble machines fire back up and Austin Scott looks slightly incensed as the ref explains that Sabrina got the pin RIGHT BEFORE Richards tapped out. The ref is interrupted as Sabrina Scott gives the referee a giant hug. Sabrina gets handed the International title and excitedly runs in circles holding up the belt. Austin shakes his head a bit but swallows his pride and leaves the ring, letting Sabrina have her moment.
Nick Webb: Well the future for the bubbly Sabrina Scott is certainly bright here in BWF.
Rayne: Not if she keeps attracting losers. I overheard Allen Chaney has a crush on her.
Nick Webb: Why is that at all relevant?
Rayne: It isn't really. I just like making fun of fat people for having feelings. HA!
Nick Webb: You do realize Allen is right behind you, right?
Rayne: OH GOD I'M SO SORR- Wait he isn't... oh screw you Webb!
Nick Webb: Couldn't help myself... congratulations to Sabrina Scott!
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for...
Benjamin is cut off as someone runs over to him and hands him a piece of paper. He unfolds it and reads before clearing his throat.
Scott Benjamin: I’ve just been informed that the next contest has been changed to a no disqualification match... and it is scheduled for ONE fall! Introducing first, he hails from Los Angeles, California... weighing in at 176 pounds... he is AJ ADAMS!!!
There’s a quiet throughout the arena but that changes as “Lights Out” by P.O.D. cues up throughout the arena and the fans rise to their feet and erupt in boos. The lights flash blue as spotlights flash around the arena. AJ Adams comes out onto the stage to the hate of the fans and looks around the stage and the crowd, taking it all in.
Respect I earned, started with the clique that I hanged
Respect I earned, ever since i got in this game
Respect I earned, never wanting fortune or fame
Adams stands at the top of the ramp and points up to the sky.
Chiggy-check, microphone check
Chiggy-check, microphone check
It's Lights Out, Game Over
At "lights out", AJ Adams pumps his arms and screams it with the song as a big pop of pyro goes off. He hops as he throws his arms out and takes in the fans on the ramp. He laughs as he passes a few of them and finally makes it to the ring. He jumps to the apron and climbs to the middle turnbuckle and takes off his shirt before tossing it into the crowd. He jumps into the ring and shakes his head a few times and uses the top rope to stretch his arms and legs.
Scott Benjamin: And introducing his opponent, he hails from Columbus, Ohio... weighing in at 230 pounds... he is the marVel... he is GABE SHELLEY!!!
The opening chords of "In Fate's Hands" by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus rolls throughout the arena. Three spotlights shine and revolve around as if searching for someone, and the fans are on their feet, cheering in anticipation for the hero they know is coming. At the nine second mark the song rocks into life with a loud “GO!” as red, white and blue pyros shoot outward with controlled chaos from the entrance stage for seven straight seconds. By the end of it, the three spotlights have aimed at the stage and await the arrival of a great fan favorite.
I remember a year ago
I was standing in the crowd
Waiting for my chance to break through
My chance to live again
At last, Gabe Shelley comes running out to the stage with energy and pounds his chest in excitement to the roar of the crowd. He finally steps into the spotlight and peeks out from under his hooded vest with a high smile on his face. He walks around the top of the stage and points out to the fans before making his way to the ramp.
Shake it! Break it! Get off your feet!
Come dance with me and don't you fake it
Shake it! Break it! Get off your feet!
Come dance with me and don't you fake it
The fans are positively crazy about Gabe. He makes his way down the ramp and stops halfway before falling to his knees. He looks around one more time from his hood before throwing it back off his head as a fountain of pyro falls from the top of the stage behind him. He pats his chest, and then hops to his feet before jumping into the ring. Gabe picks a corner and easily jumps to the second ropes and bows down. He points outwards to the crowd as he jumps backwards, spinning and landing on his feet. He draws to the center of the ring and throws his hands out; the crowd's roar of cheers only grow louder and flashes from cameras capture photos of the Hall of Famer in all his glory.
Nick Webb: The fans are ready for this match to start and as you heard before AJ Adams came out it has been changed to no disqualification.
Rayne: Perfect because I want to see these two really tear into each other.
Nick Webb: Gabe Shelley has, for so long, been what it means to be a BWF Superstar. There’s no one that has carried the heart and soul of this company.
Rayne: And it’s time for AJ Adams to rip that heart right out. My money is on AJ tonight. Gabe has had his time to shine and it’s going to be the passing of the torch here tonight.
The lights start to flicker and a large surge of boos fill the arena as “Sick of It” by Skillet begins to play throughout the arena as the lights flash red with spotlights pointed to the entrance. Outlaw walks out to the stage around the :15 mark with and the crowd is all over him.
Nick Webb: Hang on... that’s Outlaw! What is he doing out here?
He looks to the side and out to the crowd as he puts a hand up and follows it by making his way to the ring. He smiles as he walks down the ramp looking at the two competitors in the ring.
Are you sick of it?
Raise your hands
Get rid of it!
While there's a fighting chance
Are you over it?
Bored to death?
Have you had enough regret?
Take a stand, raise your hands…
He walks around the ring and makes his way to the announce table.
Rayne: Is he joining us?
Outlaw sits down beside Rayne and puts on a pair of headphones.
Outlaw: Nick, Rayne. What an exciting night! You didn’t think I would miss this one, did you? My former best friend Gabe Shelley, the man who ended my BWF career AJ Adams.
Nick Webb: Exactly! What are you doing here?
Outlaw: I’m not just a former BWF World Champion now, Nick. I’m a BWF Hall of Famer! That means I’ve signed a BWF Hall of Fame deal. You know, the same one that Gabe coasted on for years.
DING!
The action in the ring has started as both AJ Adams and Gabe Shelley have started to exchange lefts and rights. Shelley backs Adams into the corner and starts to stomp into him as he pushes him to the mat in a seated position. The referee starts a five count and pulls Shelley away and warns him at 4. Shelley looks over to Outlaw and tells him to “bring it”.
Nick Webb: I think Gabe wants a piece.
Outlaw just chuckles as Adams attacks Shelley from behind. Adams whips him across the ring and catches him with a stiff clothesline. Adams hits the ropes and jumps over Shelley as he stands. Shelley turns and ducks a clothesline and is able to catch Adams with a powerslam. Shelley tries for an anklelock but Adams is able to spin and tug his foot away. Adams rolls to his feet and the two competitors lock up. They try to each gain the upper hand but Adams finally gets it as he is able to take Shelley down with a suplex. Shelley is right to his feet and gets dumped over the top with a clothesline. Shelley falls to the mat in front of the announce table as Adams measures him up. Adams goes flying over the top rope and takes out Shelley and both men are down.
Nick Webb: You know each man is willing to do whatever it takes to pull off a win here tonight.
Adams is up and pulls Shelley up and bounces his head off the announce table. Adams grabs Shelley by the hair and acts as if he’s going to toss him into the ring but spins him around and sends him up and over the announce table and Shelley takes out Outlaw. The crowd enjoys it as Adams starts looking under the ring on the other side of the ring near the ramp and pulls out a couple tables. As Shelley and Outlaw untangle, Adams quickly sets up two tables side by side and sees Shelley getting up. He starts walking over to him and starts to lay into Shelley with hard shots before tossing him into the steel stairs.
Nick Webb: AJ with the clear upper hand right now.
Outlaw: Do what you got to do, right?
Rayne: AJ is going to make a statement using Gabe.
Adams runs at Shelley, who is now seated against the stairs, and looks to drive his foot into his skull but Shelley rolls out of the way. Adams’ foot hits the stairs hard and he’s in pain as Shelley uses the break to look under the ring and pulls out a Singapore care to the delight of the crowd. Adams is up and turns right into a cane shot over the head that cracks and echos throughout the arena. Shelley tosses it into the ring before rolling Adams in under the second rope. He pulls Adams to his feet and sends him into the corner and starts to put him on the top turnbuckle. Shelley climbs up with him and tries to superplex Adams through the tables on the outside of the ring but Adams fights back. Outlaw stands up from the table and drops his headset. Shelley jumps to the outside of the ring and then to the second turnbuckle, trying to get leverage to pull Adams over for the superplex. Outlaw starts to hit Shelley in the back with his own Singapore cane as he leaves welts all over the back of Shelley. Outlaw then gets under Shelley and looks to powerbomb him off the second rope to the tables and Shelley refuses to let go of Adams. Adams is up and Outlaw has Shelley as he powerbombs him through the table and Adams comes crashing down as well.
Rayne: What a move!
Nick Webb: Outlaw just put Adams AND Shelley though those tables.
“Holy shit, holy shit” echos throughout the arena as Outlaw looks around and starts to pull both me up and rolls them each into the ring. Adams crawls over to Shelley and drapes his arm across his chest.

Kickout!
Shelley somehow gets his shoulder up as Outlaw thinks about getting involved once again, standing on the apron. Both Adams and Shelley slowly make it to their feet and lock up. Shelley pushes Adams backwards who crashes into Outlaw and bumps him off the apron and to the floor below. Shelley lifts Adams and looks for the reVolt (Cradle Shock) and Adams struggles and is able to slide off Shelley’s shoulders. He spins Shelley around and hits the Last Call (Codebreaker) and both men are down again.
Rayne: Cover him, AJ!
Nick Webb: I still can’t believe you’re rooting for AJ.
Rayne: The future is now!
Adams hooks the leg of Shelley.
One!
Two!
Kickout!
Adams can’t believe it and almost goes off on the referee but calmly stalks Shelley. He yells “lights out”! Shelley is up and Adams tries to lock in the Lights Out (Tazzmission) but Outlaw comes flying out of nowhere with a knee to the side of the head of Adams and then quickly hits the Breaking the Law (Canadian Destroyer) and the crowd can’t believe it. Outlaw gets in the face of Adams and starts yelling at him. He stands and turns right into a reVolt from Shelley and the crowd erupts.
Nick Webb: Shelley just took out Outlaw and there’s still no love there between former best friends.
Shelley starts to beg Adams to get up. Adams gets to his feet and Shelley looks for the Fallout (Zig Zag) but Adams grabs the top rope and Shelley hits the mat hard by himself. He gets to his feet and Adams quickly hits the Legacy Maker (Sister Abigail) and dives into a cover!
One!
Two!
Foot on the rope! Adams thinks he’s won but the referee tells him that Shelley was able to get a foot on the ropes. Adams can’t believe it as he grabs Shelley and pulls him to his feet before locking in the Light Out. Shelley falls to a knee and refuses to give up. He reaches his arm between Adams’ legs and twists just enough to get out of the hold and lifts Adams his feet before hitting the reVolt in the middle of the ring with a hook of the leg.

Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner... GABE SHELLEY!!!
WINNER: Gabe Shelley, via Pinfall [15:43]
Nick Webb: Gabe Shelley has pulled off another huge WrestleFest win.
Rayne: This is all Outlaw’s fault.
Shelley leans against the ropes as the referee raises his hand.
Never Give Up.
Never Surrender.
Never Relent.
We find Johnny Maverick backstage, pacing with headphones on his head. Though a Crisis superstar he is wearing his 'Monday Night Mavok' t-shirt here at BWF's biggest show of the year.
Johnny Maverick: It's... I'm sorry. I'm just trying to find the perfect song. I've made no secret how important music is to me and... Well I guess I'm just trying to find that song that'll put a bow on all of this. Something that'll make me believe that I'm really here, defending my World Title at the show when all the haters said I wouldn't make it here.
Johnny looks down at the fancy compass on his Crisis World Title and sighs.
Johnny Maverick: I can't even describe how I've felt since I won this title back in September, knowing that people are just sitting around backstage, waiting for me to fail. Once again, it felt like life had only given me something good for just long enough that a piece of me would die when it leaves me. It's a shitty feeling, guys. Maybe that makes me sound selfish, but fuck it, there's a camera here and I have shit to talk about.
Johnny slings the belt back over his shoulder.
Johnny Maverick: Me? I'll always remember 2014 as the year when Johnny Maverick stopped waiting for anyone's permission to be great and just went out and fucking did it. We almost lost this company, and if BWF's sticking around, then God dammit, so am I. I invite every fan in this arena to join me in making this perfect year end the right way - with me holding my Crisis World Title over Casey Campbell's broken, beaten body. Who am I to stir these emotions? Please allow me to reintroduce myself.
Johnny clears his throat. The fire has returned to his voice.
Johnny Maverick: My name is Johnny Maverick. I strut, fuck, and fight like a Champion. I am better than Casey Campbell, Chris Maverick, Emily Corlen, Elena Simonova, Matt Stone, God and the Devil himself. I am the best Pure Wrestler who ever lived. I'm facing North. The map ends here. I will climb the highest mountain to display my treasure and laugh while all you bitches stumble while trying to get on my level.
Johnny pauses, having a moment of clarity as his iPhone's shuffle function gives him the answer he was seeking. He smirks as he hears the song.
Johnny Maverick: Never Give Up. Never Surrender. Never Relent. Mav Out.
Johnny smirks as he walks off-screen.
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for ONE fall... and it is for the Crisis World Championship!!!
The crowd cheers loudly as a graphic for the Crisis World Title flashes across the screen.
Scott Benjamin: Introducing first, the challenger... he hails from Skymont, Tennessee... weighing in tonight at 262 pounds... he is The Cool Factor... he is CASEY CAMPBELL!!!
The lights go out as LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It" starts kicking up through the arena. Bright rainbow neon lights start flashing all through the arena as smoke starts to fill up the entrance.
When I walk in the spot (yeah), this is what I see (ok)
Everybody stops and they staring at me
The smokes start to part in the middle revealing a god like figure standing at the entrance. Hands on his hips and wearing a pair of purple camo pants.
I got passion in my pants and I ain't afraid to show it, show it, show it, show it
Casey then rips away the pants and throws them onto the ground as bright explosions start going off behind him.
I'M SEXY AND I KNOW IT!!!
Casey then makes his way slowly down the entrance ramp all the while flexing off his muscles and rotating his hips for the ladies. All the women erupting almost drowning out the music from such an amazing physique gracing them with his presence.
Ah... Girl look at that body
Ah... I work out
Ah... Girl look at that body
I work out!
Casey moving up the steps to the ring he would stop at the last one doing a Captain Morgan pose. Both hands on the back of his head and pelvic thrusting for just a few seconds but for the female audience it felt like eternity in heaven. Finally stepping into the squared circle Casey would stand in the middle with his arms extended out, letting everybody finally embrace and take in the presence of a true Superstar.
Scott Benjamin: And introducing his opponent, he is the current and reigning Crisis World Champion... he hails from Washington, D.C.... weighing in tonight at 200 pounds... he is the Sadistic Sex Symbol... he is JOHNNY MAVERICK!!!
The opening guitar riff of "Search and Destroy" by Iggy and The Stooges plays which a few die-hard fans would recognize as the first entrance music ever used by Johnny Maverick (back when he was Johnny Chaos). Johnny emerges from the curtain in the ring gear he debuted in. Long blue and black tights, blue and black boots, and taped hands.
I'm a street walking cheetah
with a heart full of napalm
I'm a runaway son of the nuclear A-bomb
I am a world's forgotten boy
The one who searches and destroys
Johnny makes his way down to the ring, slapping hands with all of the fans on his way to the ring.
Honey gotta help me please
Somebody gotta save my soul
Baby detonates for me
Look out honey, 'cause I'm using technology
Ain't got time to make no apology
Soul radiation in the dead of night
Love in the middle of a fire fight
Johnny hops up on the apron and quickly springs over the top rope and into the ring. He climbs to the top turnbuckle, takes off his Crisis World Title and holds it up for everyone to see. Johnny releases a savage roar and the audience pops huge.
Honey gotta strike me blind
Somebody gotta save my soul
Baby penetrates my mind
And I'm the world's forgotten boy
The one who's searchin', searchin' to destroy
And honey I'm the world's forgotten boy
The one who's searchin', searchin' to destroy
Johnny jumps down from the turnbuckle and has himself a nice stretch. As the music fades, the referee brings Johnny and Casey to the center of the ring, where he holds the title up between them. Each man heads to their corner as the referee hands off the title to a ringside official and calls for the bell.
DING!
The bell sounds and Johnny charges at Casey, taking down the challenger with a hard tackle. He goes to punch, but Casey counters, shoving Johnny off and rolling to his feet. Johnny is waiting for him, catching him with a spinning wheel kick that takes Casey down hard. From there, the Champion stays on the offensive for the next few minutes, wearing Campbell down with a flurry of offense. Finally, after countering Johnny and dropping him with a T-bone suplex, Casey has to roll out of the ring to regroup.
Nick Webb: Last month, we saw a Johnny Maverick who waited for the right moment to pounce. At WrestleFest, we've got a whole new beast; Johnny is fired up like you wouldn't believe, and he's determined to go on the offensive, stay there, and leave London with his Championship intact.
Johnny doesn't give Casey time to recover, as he runs the ropes, comes back and leaps through them, catching Casey with a suicide dive! The fans in London are beside themselves, chanting "Let's go Johnny" as the Champion roars in defiance, then pulls Casey up by the hair before rolling him into the ring. Johnny hops up onto the apron and climbs to the top rope, but Casey is ready; he charges at the ropes and slams his weight into them, causing Johnny to lose his balance and crotch himself on the top! With Johnny stunned, Casey takes a few punches, then hoists Johnny into the air with a bearhug before jumping off the top, spinning and catching Johnny with the Bear to Belly Suplex (Bearhug Submission into a Belly to Belly Suplex)!
Rayne: Ha ha! That's gotta be it! Did you see that impact?!
Casey drapes himself over Johnny as the ref drops to count.
1!
2!
Thr... kickout! Johnny just barely gets his shoulder up! Casey sits up, holding up three fingers and questioning the ref, but after the ref tells Casey it was only two, Casey changes his hand gesture and flips the official off instead. The fans boo loudly as Casey starts to take control of the contest, slowing down the pace methodically and keeping Johnny grounded. Casey eventually gets Johnny into the corner, unloading on him with everything he has, from punches to kicks to even a few headbutts thrown in for good measure. The ref has to continually warn Casey about disqualification, forcing the Cool Factor to step backwards several times to avoid the match ending unceremoniously for the challenger. The fans continue booing louder, trying their best to coerce their Champion back into the fight.
Nick Webb: J-Mav started this match hot, but the Cool Factor has lived up to his name in putting Johnny's fire out. At this rate, it may only be a matter of time before Casey wins his second World Championship in BWF.
The match continues, with Casey maintaining control to the anger of the fans in attendance at Wembley. A few times, Johnny catches him with a counter or looks as though he's about to make a comeback, but every time, Casey uses some kind of underhanded technique to keep the momentum swinging his way. By the time the match hits the twenty minute mark, Johnny is redlining and Casey goes for the kill, locking the Champion in his patented Campbell Clutch (Crouching Cobra Clutch).
Rayne: It's over! Ring the bell, ref! We've got a new Champion!
Johnny struggles, trying anything to get Casey off of him, but the Hall of Famer refuses to yield his hold, cinching it in even tighter. Johnny's struggles start to lessen, and finally, the Crisis World Champion appears to pass out. The referee checks on the Champ, and then kneels down as he lifts Johnny's arm up. He lets it go... and it drops.
Rayne: That's one!
He lifts Johnny's arm again... and it drops a second time.
Nick Webb: Come on, Johnny! Never give up! Never surrender! Never relent!
The official lifts Johnny's arm a third time... he lets it go... and just before it slumps down, the hand balls into a fist and stops in mid-air! The crowd erupts as Johnny screams out in furious anger, his entire body shaking.
Rayne: No!
Nick Webb: Yes!
The crowd continues cheering loudly as Johnny, with a burst of adrenaline, uses all of his strength to fling himself backwards, landing on top of Casey and breaking the former Champion's submission! Both men roll to their feet and suddenly, Johnny is on fire, taking down Casey with several big clotheslines! Casey, with a hint of desperation to his movements, goes for broke and throws himself at Johnny with a PWNED!!! (Point Blank Spear), but Johnny moves out of the way, leaving Casey to slam hard into the nearby corner post! Casey stumbles out of the corner, howling in pain, and Johnny lifts him up from behind, catching him with the Welcome to D.C. (A Reverse GTS; Johnny drives his knee into the back of his opponent's head. [The D.C. stands for 'Damaged Cranium'.])! The crowd pops loudly as Johnny drops into the cover!
1!
2!
Thr-NO! At the last second, Casey kicks out and Johnny's eyes go wide!
Nick Webb: That move has put away some of the industry's finest, but it wasn't enough to put down Casey Campbell at WrestleFest!
Instead of mulling over what just happened, Johnny's face hardens with resolve. He stands up, pulls Casey to his feet and kisses his fist before whipping Casey towards the ropes. As Casey comes back, Johnny aims for the Crucial Velocity (Johnny nails his opponent with a Devastating Spinning Backfist; as they fall to the ground, he quickly lunges forward and nails them in the face with a Superman Punch. It's fast, devastating, and an instant KO.) - but Casey dodges it! He continues running through, comes off the ropes again and aims for a second PWNED!!! - but this time, Johnny leaps right over Casey! Casey spins around after missing the spear - WHAM! Johnny nails him dead center with the Crucial Velocity! The stadium erupts as Johnny drops down into the cover!

DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner... and STILL Crisis World Champion... JOHNNY MAVERICK!!!
WINNER AND STILL CRISIS WORLD CHAMPION: Johnny Maverick, via Pinfall [26:33]
"Search and Destroy" by Iggy and The Stooges plays over the BlazenTron as Johnny sits up, grinning happily. He stands up and grabs the Crisis World Championship, then hits the four corners, holding the title high. After, he rolls out of the ring and makes his way around ringside, high fiving fans (and signing a woman's nearly exposed breast) before jumping onto the announce table in front of Rayne and Webb, holding the title as high as he can.
Nick Webb: What a night for Johnny Maverick! He came into WrestleFest VIII thinking this would be his last night as Champion no matter what, and he's leaving not only with a guarantee that BWF will still be around for the foreseeable future, but that he will be a part of that future as the Crisis World Champion!
Rayne: Tonight was Casey's night! He got robbed!
Nick Webb: Didn't you hate Casey for most of the year because of his fights with Liz Davis and Matt Stone?
Rayne: Well yeah, but I don't exactly care for Johnny.
Nick Webb: You're a fair-weather fan, is what you're saying.
Rayne: Well, not when he doesn't win, I'm not!
Nick shakes his head and laughs as WrestleFest VIII fades to the final promo of the night.

DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is the WrestleFest VIII Main Event... it is scheduled for ONE fall... and it is for the BWF World Championship!!!
The crowd cheers loudly as a graphic for the BWF World Title flashes across the screen.
Scott Benjamin: Introducing first, the challenger... she hails from New York City... weighing in tonight at 115 pounds... she is the Sole Survivor of the 2014 Gauntlet Run Match... she is ELENA SIMONOVA!!!
Du du du du-du du du
Du du du du du-du du du
All the lights go black, low red strip lights come on to line the ramp down to the ring and "Centuries" by Fall Out Boy begins blaring over the BlazenTron as the house lights come up.
Some legends are told
Some turn to dust or to gold
But you will remember me
Remember me for centuries
And just one mistake
Is all it will take.
We'll go down in history
Remember me for centuries
Hey, hey, hey
Remember me for centuries
Elena Simonova can be seen, crouched low, with her back to the audience; a red and white spotlight on each side of the stage begin rotating side to side.
Mummified my teenage dreams
No, it's nothing wrong with me
The kids are all wrong,
The story's all off
Heavy metal broke my heart
Elena spins to face the audience while she rises, as a cascading curtain of red pyro falls behind her.
Come on, come on and let me in
The bruises on your thighs like my fingerprints
And this is supposed to match
The darkness that you felt
I never meant for you to fix yourself
Elena walks down to the ring and pulls herself up onto the ring apron, leans back on the top rope and back flips into the ring.
Du du du du-du du du

And just one mistake

Nick Webb: Last month in Chicago, Elena Simonova returned from an injury that kept her sidelined for nearly the entire year and, against all odds, survived 29 other competitors to become the first Gauntlet Run victor in seven years!
Rayne: That may be, but tonight, she faces perhaps the most devious, conniving BWF World Champion we've ever seen. Emily Corlen went to great lengths to see Zoe Cooper dethroned, and I can't imagine she's going to let Elena take that away from her.
Scott Benjamin: And introducing her opponent, she is the current and reigning BWF World Champion... she hails from Rockford, Illinois.... weighing in tonight at 140 pounds... she is the Emerald Phoenix and the Self-Professed Queen of Professional Wrestling... she is EMILY CORLEN!!!
The intro to "The Look" by Roxette begins playing, but after a few moments, the track starts to distort. A record scratch is heard, followed by silence and what sounds like mic feedback. Suddenly, a recognizable voice booms over the stadium's sound system -
Emily Corlen: YOU... WILL... BELIEVE!
The lights in the arena cut to black and the BlazenTron comes to life with slow, black and white footage of Emily Corlen as the opening chords to "Cult of Personality" by Living Colour begins playing.
Look in my eyes, what do you see?
The cult of personality
The black and white footage fades to black and color footage starts playing on the BlazenTron. Emerald strobe lights fill the arena as the name "EMILY CORLEN" amidst a backdrop of green flames flashes on the screen. Emily Corlen herself then walks out from behind the curtain, the BWF World Championship around her waist, cracking her knuckles as the crowd boos loudly.
I know your anger, I know your dreams
I've been everything you want to be
I'm the cult of personality
Like Mussolini and Kennedy
I'm the cult of personality
The cult of personality
The cult of personality
Emily stops in the center of the stage, looking at all the fans in attendance. She sneers cockily, shaking her head in disgust at the people around her before pointing down at the title around her waist and loudly proclaiming "I'm STILL the Queen of Professional Wrestling! Show some damn respect!"
Neon lights, Nobel prize
The mirror speaks, the reflection lies
You won't have to follow me
Only you can set me free
Emily then begins walking down the ramp, her gaze fixed on the ring. She stands at the foot of the ramp for a moment, staring into nothingness, and then begins to circle the ring, her gaze never leaving the ring, almost as if she's stalking it.
I sell the things you need to be
I'm the smiling face on your TV
I'm the cult of personality
I exploit you, still you love me
I tell you one and one makes three
I'm the cult of personality
After making a full circle of the ring, Emily reaches the foot of the ramp where she started. She hops up and down a few times in front of the ring apron before leaping up onto the apron.
Like Joseph Stalin and Gandhi
I'm the cult of personality
The cult of personality
The cult of personality
Neon lights, Nobel prize
When a leader speaks, that leader dies
You won't have to follow me
Only you can set you free
The crowd boos loudly as Emily steps between the ropes, and then hops up and down in the corner a few times as the music fades.
Nick Webb: Emily Corlen, coming out to the same music she used two years ago in PWA - the last time she was the World Champion of a major wrestling company. No matter what has happened since then, one thing is clear; Emily Corlen the C.E.O. is not here at WrestleFest. We're looking at Emily Corlen, professional wrestler. And that can only mean very bad things for Elena Simonova.
Rayne: Let's not forget that Elena and Emily fought several times while working for PWA... and Emily won every single exchange the two had. Tonight is a chance for redemption for Elena, perhaps a final opportunity to beat the one opponent she's never been able to conquer... but it's just as much a grand opportunity on wrestling's biggest stage for Emily to prove that not only has she not "lost it", she's always had it.
Nick Webb: The main event of WrestleFest VIII is about to begin! Let's get to it!
DING!
The bell rings as both women stare one another down, neither one refusing to give even an inch. They come nose to nose, the crowd reaching a fevered pitch, and after exchanging words, the two women finally lock up. In the opening moments of the match, they remain event, struggling against one another in a standard tie-up, but before long, Emily's strength advantage comes into play, as she begins backing the challenger up toward the ropes. Elena is struggling as she tries to fight Emily off, but the Champion proves too powerful, shoving Elena into the ropes. Elena rebounds and shoves Emily hard, no doubt feeling disrespected. Emily responds with a hard slap across the face of the fiery redhead, followed by a front facelock.
Nick Webb: Thus far, Emily's been showing what brought her to the dance - her power.
Rayne: Simonova had to know going into this that she wasn't going to beat Emily in a show of strength. What is she thinking?
Emily wrenches Elena, but Elena slips out of the hold, and then drops Emily with a northern lights suplex to the delight of the crowd! She tries to bridge the suplex into a pin, but Emily bridges herself out of it and grabs Elena in a gutwrench hold as both women find themselves back on their feet. She catches the challenger with a few stiff knees to the gut, and then whips her into the corner before running at Elena with a clothesline. Elena rolls out of the way and Emily stops herself at the corner before turning to face Elena. The crowd pops as both women stare one another down once again.
Nick Webb: Wow! Listen to these fans!
Rayne: There's no doubt - we're watching a WrestleFest main event right now, Nick!
Emily and Elena lock up again. This time, Elena gains the advantage as she drops to her knees, then lifts Emily up in a fireman's carry into a rear chinlock with body scissors. Emily quickly breaks the hold, catching Elena in the face with two hard elbows. Both women roll to their feet and Emily quickly delivers a chop to Elena's chest. The Gauntlet Run winner staggers back and Emily hits several more chops, driving the redhead into the ropes. She Irish whips Elena across the ring and catches her on the rebound with a dropkick. Emily runs into the ropes and comes off, looking to hit something big, but Elena kips up to her feet on the way and when Emily comes back, Elena catches the Champion off guard with a dropkick of her own! Elena stays on Emily, but the Champion grabs Elena and rolls her up!

Kickout!
Both women are back to their feet again and Emily charges Elena for a clothesline, but Elena hits the oncoming Emily with a kick to the midsection. Emily doubles over and Elena bounds off the ropes, nailing a modified step-up enziguri! Emily is dazed, but scrambles back to her feet before Elena can go for a pin. Angered, Emily swings at the oncoming Elena, but the challenger ducks under the punch, hits the ropes and Emily turns around to a charging Elena; but before Elena can do anything, Emily hoists her up and goes for a Death Valley driver! Elena lands on her feet on the mat, turns around and catches Emily's foot to the side of her face!
Nick Webb: BOOM! Headshot! Corlen lands The Skullcracker!
Emily covers and the ref drops to count!

3-Kickout! Elena kicks out and Emily scowls.
Rayne: She almost took that angry little Russian down! This one's only gonna be a matter of time for our former C.E.O.!
Emily pulls herself back up to her feet and waits for Elena to stir. As Elena crawls onto her knees, Emily charges, leaping up and coming down with a leg drop across the back of Elena's neck, driving her face into the mat! Emily kneels down and pulls Elena up by the hair, yelling "Just remember, you asked for this, Li Li!" before slamming Elena's head back down onto the mat with authority. She rolls Elena over and covers again.

2!
3-Kickout! Again, Elena gets the shoulder up and again, Emily scowls!
Nick Webb: Elena Simonova will not stay down!
Emily lifts Elena up in a front face lock and plants her squarely between her legs, readying Elena for a huge move. She lifts the challenger up into the air in a powerbomb position, no doubt readying Elena for the Crimson Plunge (Powerbomb into Facebuster), but before she can hit the move, Elena shifts her weight in the air and hooks Emily's arm, shifting into the Iron Curtain (Black Widow)! The crowd erupts as Elena cranks back on the move, begging for Emily to give up. Emily screams out in pain, but shakes her head, refusing to submit.
Rayne: Simonova's wasting her time here! Emily has never submitted once in her entire career!
Nick Webb: She can still win the title if Emily passes out, Rayne.
Rayne: Shut up with your logic!
Emily shrieks in pain as she begins stomping toward the ropes. Elena pulls tighter on the hold, hoping desperately for a miracle. Emily briefly falls to one knee to a pop, but she powers through, gritting her teeth as she flings herself forward and lands with her free arm hooking the bottom rope. The referee starts counting - 1, 2, 3, 4 - and at four, Elena finally relinquishes, releasing Emily from the submission.
Nick Webb: Excellent veteran wherewithal from the Champion.
Frustrated that Emily survived her nasty submission finisher, Elena grabs Emily by the hair and starts to pull her up, but Emily shifts her weight, sending Elena tumbling forward and through the ropes to the floor! Elena lands hard on her back and lies there, wind knocked out of her. Emily lies back in the ring for a moment, regaining her composure, before she rolls out of the ring, going after Elena. She picks up the challenger and whips her hard, sending Elena hard into the steel steps! Elena cries out in pain as she slumps against the steel, wincing. Wasting no time, Emily grabs the wounded challenger and throws her back into the ring (literally, she hoists Elena into her arms and tosses her between the first and second ropes) before sliding back inside and going for the cover.
1!
2!
3-Kickout!
Rayne: Come ON! Stay down already, Red!
Nick Webb: Way to go, Elena!
Emily lifts Elena to her feet and wrenches the challenger's arm, then pulls her into a short arm clothesline! She holds on to Elena's arm, however, and pulls the redhead back up for a second, and ultimately, a third stiff clothesline before finally letting go of Elena's arm. She steps out onto the apron, and then climbs the turnbuckles, finding herself on the top rope.
Nick Webb: Emily doesn't find herself on the top rope often. I'm not sure this is wise.
Rayne: This is WrestleFest, Nick! Go all out or go home!
Emily rakes her thumb across her neck, and then launches herself off the top rope with, shockingly, a shooting star press! The crowd pops momentarily at this never-before-seen move out of the BWF World Champion... and they pop louder a second later when Elena gets her knees up, leaving Emily to crash down onto them unceremoniously!
Nick Webb: What a move... and what a counter!
As Emily grabs at her ribs, screaming, Elena rolls to her feet, scoops Emily up and hits the Vodka Tonic (Canadian Destroyer)! The crowd ERUPTS as Elena rolls Emily onto her back and covers!
1!
2!
3....NO! Emily kicks out at the last second and the crowd can't believe it!
Rayne: THATTA GIRL, EM!
Elena stands up, motioning for the end before rolling her hands, signaling for a second Vodka Tonic. She pulls Emily to her feet and starts to go for the move, but perhaps on instinct, Emily headbutts Elena, stunning her! Elena stumbles around and Emily grabs her from behind, lifting her up before dropping her with The Catalyst (Glam Slam)!
Nick Webb: That's the move Emily won the BWF World Title with at WrestleFest VI!
Emily covers as the crowd reacts loudly, trying desperately to rouse the challenger!
1!
2!
3....NO! This time, Elena kicks out at the last second and again, the crowd can't believe it!
Nick Webb: What a main event this is! Neither of these women will die!
Emily sits up, shaking her head in disbelief. She stands up and pulls Elena up, then whips her into the corner before following in for a splash, but Elena rolls out of the way! Emily hits the turnbuckle hard and turns back to face the ring, just in time for Elena to catch her with the 200 Proof (Lifting corner knee strike to Monkey flip)! Emily stumbles out of the corner and drops down in the center of the ring while Elena, starting to show the wear and tear of the match, desperately pulls herself up to the top rope. She looks down at Emily, smirks at the crowd, then mouths "Watch this" before busting out her own shooting star press onto the Champion! Unlike Elena, Emily isn't able to block the move and takes the full shooting star to the delight of the crowd. Elena hooks the leg, hoping for a win.
1!
2!
3....NO! Emily gets her shoulder up, and this time, Elena shows frustration, pounding the mat in anger.
Nick Webb: Elena Simonova has a legendary temper... if she's not careful and it gets the best of her, this match could still slip right through her fingers.
Indeed, any semblance of amusement has left the face of the challenger, replaced with steely determination as she senses the Championship in her grasp. As Emily begins pulling herself up by the ropes, Elena steps back, watching and waiting to make her move. Finally, as the World Champion stumbles to her feet, Elena charges her, hitting the Hammer and Sickle (Running double axe handle followed by Buzzsaw kick)! She pulls Emily into the center of the ring and covers, hooking the leg!
1!
2!
3....Kickout! Emily gets her shoulder up again and Elena gets angrier, yelling "STAY DOWN!" at Emily. She covers her face with her hands, screaming loudly as Emily stirs.
Rayne: I think I see what you mean, Nick.
Elena turns and lifts Emily up, positioning her for a suplex, but before she can lift the Champion up, Emily elbows her in the side of the head, loosening the hold. She immediately grabs Elena and lifts her, dropping her to the mat with the Seventh Heaven (Two-Handed Chokeslam)! As the ring rattles, Emily drops to one knee, grimacing, yet somehow still smirking at the same time.
Nick Webb: Oh, I think Emily's got something sinister in mind here, Rayne.
Indeed, Emily gingerly rolls out of the ring, searching for something. She eventually locates it at the timekeeper's table - the BWF World Championship. Emily picks the belt up and tosses it into the ring, and then slides back inside. The referee grabs the belt immediately and starts to remove it when Emily grabs him, protesting. She argues for a second before finally throwing her arms up in a "you win" gesture. As the ref goes to the other side of the ring to discard of the foreign object, Emily reaches into her cleavage and pulls out a pair of brass knuckles! The crowd boos loudly as she slips them on, then motions for the stumbling Elena to turn around.
Rayne: Yes! Do it!
Nick Webb: Not like this!
Elena turns around and Emily swings at the challenger's head, knux and all, but at the last moment, Elena slides out of the way, then quickly grabs Emily around her neck and launches herself backwards with the Reverse Psychology (C4)! The crowd erupts even as Emily hits the mat and bounces onto the ropes, out of it but refusing to stay down. She stumbles to her feet and charges Elena on instinct, but Elena is ready, leaping up and wrapping up the Self-Professed Queen of Professional Wrestling in a second Iron Curtain (Black Widow)! The crowd roars as Elena pulls back with all of her might, causing Emily to screech out in unbearable pain! She drops to a knee, still screaming, as the crowd in the arena reaches a fevered pitch!
Nick Webb: The Iron Curtain! They're in the middle of the ring!
Rayne: Fight out of it, Corlen! Like you always do!
Emily finally drops to a second knee, still screaming, as Elena pulls back tighter and tighter, nearly pulling Emily's arm out of its socket. Emily struggles in vain, clawing at the air, desperately trying to find something, anything, to save her. Elena pulls back once more and a *pop* is heard, causing Emily to scream bloody murder. With tears streaming down her face, her body shaking, the unthinkable occurs in London, as Emily Corlen begins desperately tapping out for the first time in her entire career.
DING DING DING!!!
Scott Benjamin: Ladies and gentlemen... here is your winner... and the NEW BWF World Champion... ELENA... SIMONOVA!!!
WINNER AND NEW BWF WORLD CHAMPION: Elena Simonova, via Submission [34:27]
"Centuries" by Fall Out Boy begins blaring over the BlazenTron as Elena finally releases the hold, letting herself fall to the mat. She gingerly stands up, still hurting, and clutches the title close as the referee hands it to her.
Nick Webb: I DON'T BELIEVE IT! EMILY CORLEN TAPPED OUT! WE HAVE A NEW BWF WORLD CHAMPION!
Rayne: Wha... but... Emily Corlen would NEVER submit! What the hell!? I call shenanigans!
Nick Webb: Watch the replay. There she is, clearly tapping out.
Rayne: .....
Emily crawls over to the nearest corner, hiding her face in shame as Elena's brother (and Emily's baby daddy) Nikolai Simonova makes his way down the ramp, his face beaming with pride. He slides into the ring, and then hugs Elena, congratulating her on the huge win. He starts to walk over to Emily, but Elena puts her hand on his chest, stopping him. She hands off the title to the referee, and then walks over to Emily, who is silently sobbing in the corner of the ring, as the music fades out.
Nick Webb: What's about to happen here?
An End (and a Beginning)
The crowd quiets as Elena walks over to Emily and kneels down next to her. She quickly turns her head away, obviously not wanting anything to do with the ferocious redhead. Elena, of course, won't take no for an answer and instead, stands back up before offering a hand to her former friend. Emily wipes her eyes and thinks for a moment, but finally accepts Elena's hand as the new BWF World Champion pulls Emily to her feet. Elena motions for Nik to come over and the two of them talk inaudibly to Emily for a moment. Emily looks humiliated and starts to walk away, but Elena refuses to take no for an answer, pulling Emily back before wrapping her in the biggest hug she can. The former Champion resists at first, but finally, returns the hug to a big pop from the crowd. Nikolai steps between the two women and lifts both of their arms high, eliciting a bigger pop.
Nick Webb: The London crowd showing respect to both women following that amazing contest.
Emily starts to exit the ring, giving the Champion the moment she earned, but is stopped again as Elena grabs her by the hand. Meanwhile, Nik has walked to the other side of the ring and asked for a mic.
Nikolai Simonova: Hold up a sec, ladies. Lenny, I'll let you bask in the moment in... well, a moment. But first, there's that thing we discussed. You're still cool with that?
Elena grins widely, nodding emphatically. Emily looks confused as Elena steps back, resting in the corner.
Nikolai Simonova: Cool. Emily Anne Corlen. I don't agree with the way you got to this match, but you damn sure proved that you deserved to be there. That was one hell of a match, don't you think, London?
The crowd roars in approval.
Nikolai Simonova: I couldn't be prouder of my two favorite ladies, that's for sure. But right now, here in London in front of thousands of die-hard wrestling fans and probably millions more watching at home... hoo, no pressure, Nik... I, uh, got something real important I need to ask you.
Emily's eyes widen slightly and she fidgets a little, looking around nervously. Elena's grin grows wider. Obviously, she knows what's coming and more than likely, a lot of fans have a good idea as well.
Nikolai Simonova: You and I, Emily, we're real good together. Better than any other relationship I've ever been in before. Lenny will absolutely back me up on that statement.
Elena laughs out loud, nodding.
Nikolai Simonova: You know, uh, we even have two kids together! Nattie and Erik... man, those kids are my world. But so are you, Em. That's why I think now's as good a time as any to ask you...
Nik reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out a small box. As he does so, he drops to one knee. Emily gasps, covering her mouth as the crowd starts cheering loudly.
Nikolai Simonova: ...will you marry me?
The crowd reaction gets even louder, with a unified "YES!" chant breaking out amongst the fans. Emily pauses a moment, letting everything sink in, as Elena hops forward and grabs Nik's mic. She hands it to Emily and steps back, hopeful. Emily holds the mic, looks down at Nik, then to Elena, before taking a deep breath.
Emily Corlen: .............YES!!!
The crowd goes wild as Elena jumps up happily, then immediately regrets doing so as she grabs her neck and winces. Nik jumps up and kisses Emily passionately, then puts the ring on her finger as the London crowd continues cheering.
Nick Webb: Wow! A proposal at WrestleFest! Now I've seen everything!
Rayne: And it's only a little awkward when you consider that her ex-husband, Johnny Maverick, is probably watching this all unfold backstage! HA!
Nik and Emily, now beaming, offer the squared circle to Elena as they exit together. "Centuries" kicks up again as Elena is handed her title back by the official and she heads to the top rope, posing with the title as the stadium fills with flashbulbs. Pyro begins going off on the stage and above the ring, much like Elena's Gauntlet Run victory a month prior, though this time, confetti begins falling across Wembley Stadium as well. The new Champion takes it all in, tears now streaming down her own face as well, as the crowd continues cheering.
Nick Webb: After nearly a full year on the shelf, it has to feel good for Elena to be back on top where she belongs.
Rayne: And so nice of her to let Emily and Nickelback steal her moment!
Nick Webb: Nikolai, and it's obvious to me that Elena was more than alright with sharing the spotlight with her family. Folks, we're out of time here in London. I don't know exactly when we'll be back on television, but at least we will be back! After beginning this night thinking we would be saying goodbye to BWF, it makes my heart swell with pride knowing that sooner rather than later, we'll be picking up right where we left off!
Rayne: Are you sure that's not the Big Macs doing that?
Nick Webb: Oh, stop.
Rayne: Ha ha!
Nick Webb: For Rayne, I'm Nick Webb... good night from WrestleFest VIII! Congratulations to all of our Champions! We'll be seeing you all again very soon! BWF lives!
We see one final shot of Elena Simonova, standing on the turnbuckle, holding the BWF World Championship high amidst the falling confetti, as the pay-per-view feed fades to the BWF logo, and then finally to black.
